Starting point is 00:00:40 content coverage analysis and more that you need. You get that here. Thank you so much to all the everydayers and first listeners out there in Broncos country. I'm Cody Roark, Broncos reporter from Mile High Sports. joined as always by Sarah Bedinger, site expert, predominantly orange.com. We got a jam-packed Christmas field edition of the show for all of you here today. And obviously, we always appreciate Broncos country chiming in. We'll wrap things up by talking about maybe some stock.
Starting point is 00:01:05 blocking stuffers, a wish list that members of Broncos country sent in that they would like for this team either with two games remaining or even going into the off season. On top of that, we asked the question, will the Broncos see a 100-yard rusher at any point in 2024 with two games remaining? Well, actually, technically one game remaining. It's got to be this week. We'll break down that. Plus, we'll share our Broncos Christmas wish list as well with everyone in Broncos country. Obviously, today's episode of the show is brought to our friends over there at Price Picks. go to pricepix.com slash lockdown NFL and use code all overcase,
Starting point is 00:01:38 lock on NFL to win $50 instantly when you play $5. Sarah, my friend, here we are Christmas Eve episode of the show. And obviously we hope that everyone in Broncos country gets a lot of Broncos country related gifts, whether that's a Bo Nix jersey, a Nick Benito jersey, a Pat Sertan jersey, make sure you send us on Christmas morning what you got your kids or what you got. That's Broncos related as well. We'll share that. But, you know, in terms of Christmas wish list, Sarah, I think,
Starting point is 00:02:04 Everyone in Broncos country, really outside of the tangible gifts in which they can actually, you know, have and buy and purchase. I think the common one that everyone wants the Broncos to get to the postseason here in 2024. Yeah, that's the number one item on the list, Cody, is can we please get the Broncos to the playoffs? And then the number two item on the wish list is if it's not too much, like, let's make the playoffs. And if I can go to a third, maybe make the playoffs. Those are the top three items on the wish list and then four and five and so on. but obviously everybody in Broncos country desperately wanted to go into Christmas, knowing that the team had already made the playoffs.
Starting point is 00:02:41 Unfortunately, you know, we had to witness the debacle that was in Los Angeles last Thursday and now got to endure through another week of stress and things like that. But you know what? Nobody ever promised it was going to be easy for this team getting back into the playoffs. A lot of folks didn't even think it was possible. So here we are. It's very much possible.
Starting point is 00:03:00 And I find myself a little grateful here on Christmas. Christmas Eve, Cody, as the Broncos, they've still got fate in their hands, which is really nice. I mean, if you think about it, would you trade places with any of the teams that are behind Denver in the playoff race right now? I mean, if it was the other direction and the Broncos, let's say, needed a team to lose their last three games and they needed to win their last three games and get some help from other teams losing as well, I don't think you would trade. There is a correct answer, by the way. You would not trade places with any of these teams, regardless of who the Colts are playing, who the dolphins are playing, who the Bengals are playing.
Starting point is 00:03:37 It doesn't matter if you have a chance to win and get into the playoffs with three games remaining in the season, that is a scenario you will take every single season, if at all possible. And the Denver Broncos are in that enviable spot. Yeah, and look, I think comparison you always talk about is a Thief of Joy. I mean, I was posting on threads over the weekend. And, you know, we're talking about the Broncos' playoff scenarios and a chief fan competition. said, I don't know if I can just deal with another stressful game here by the cheese. I was like, oh, must be nice.
Starting point is 00:04:08 Like back-to-back Super Bowl champions must be nice. They're like, enjoy it. Like, you know, I think if Denver could trade places with like being in the position at Kansas City's in with like being back-to-back or like having a like consistent winning years, I think, yeah, you would, you would take that opportunity. But, I mean, this could be the start of it here for the Broncos. Regardless how this season finishes, they are going to have a winning season, which so many fans have said like nobody expected that and look there are a lot of Broncos fans that did not expect that.
Starting point is 00:04:35 I just want them to get to that 10th win because I predicted in the I'm turning training camp. I said I think they're going to win 10 games this year and I have a clip saved up in my back pocket. I really want to drop here. But obviously that is the Christmas wish list, a win against the Cincinnati Bengals, right? And I'm going to take it a step further here as we kind of preview this game a little bit. Joe Burrow in the Cincinnati Bengals offense, man, they are explosive. They, you know, Joe distributes the ball to guys like T. Higgins.
Starting point is 00:05:00 Mike Yaseki, Yosovas, their third wide receiver, and then obviously, Jamar Chase and then Chase Brown. There is a lot of production with that offense, and it's high-powered. And to be honest with you, it is the most explosive offense. The Broncos will have faced, in my opinion, all season long, which when you look at just how they've played the last few weeks, I think that's why it's a little anxious. Like the whole week for the Broncos right now,
Starting point is 00:05:25 there's just like this anxiety like, are they going to show up? Are they going to buckle down? Are they going to fix the things? I think it's a very valid anxiety point to fill here. But I'm going to go take a step further. A gift that I would like for, you know, outside of a win, I would wish for Joe Burrow and the Bengals to be in a very giving mood on Saturday. And that is turnovers.
Starting point is 00:05:47 Give the Broncos football, right? If the Bengals are going to give it away, the Broncos need to take it away. That is what I have on my wish list here. And what I mean by that is I would love to see another defensive touchdown. right? That would be the ultimate Christmas gift for the Broncos this week. I would love to see that, Cody. Look, who doesn't have one yet, right? We need to start thinking about Nick Benito's got a couple.
Starting point is 00:06:09 Cody Barton's got one. Riley Mosson's got one. You know what? It might be Riley Moss time. And for the crossover episode, maybe for some good vibes there, Cody. Maybe I'll throw up the Riley Moss jersey behind me there. So stay tuned for that episode of the show Broncos country. Did you give a little spoiler alert to like what you got yourself for Christmas?
Starting point is 00:06:27 Maybe. Hey, I don't know. I don't know. We'll see. We'll see. But you know what? I love that idea. And I think as long as we're asking for stuff, as long as we're sending in the wish list,
Starting point is 00:06:37 because you know what, this is the Christmas wish list. This ain't a, hey, be a, you know, a little stingy with what you're asking for here. No, let's get some losses from all these other teams this weekend. You know what I was looking up, Cody? The Cleveland Browns host the Miami Dolphins this weekend in what should be a rather relatively easy win for the Miami Dolphins right on paper because well the Browns got Dorian Thompson Robinson out there He's got a calf injury he's got a calf injury so maybe maybe they'll face off against James Winston whoever's playing quarterback I was looking at the weather report for this game
Starting point is 00:07:12 40 some odd degrees as the afternoon is getting into the evening so the temperature is going to continue to decrease 65% chance of precipitation out there 20 mile per hour wins that is not conducive for the Miami dolphins going on the road and getting a win that is where one of the teams that they are actually bad in cold weather games. Yeah. To Tago Viloa as their quarterback. So you know what? Might as well have the weatherman give us a favorable outlook for that game.
Starting point is 00:07:40 Might as well have the Colts go ahead and get upset by whoever the heck is playing quarterback for the New York Giants because Drew Locke now has a shoulder injury. And you know what? Frankly, if Drew was out there playing Cody, the Colts might have a better chance of winning because I think he's got more touchdown passes this season to the other team than he does for the New York Giants. So you might have a little bit of a chance there. But isn't it funny that all these teams,
Starting point is 00:08:02 kind of the stars are aligning there, you know, for them with all these situations happening. I just feel like, you know what? And the Bengals are creeping up? The Bengals creeping up. Let's get a witching hour. I've mentioned that before. Let's get a little witching hour here for the NFL this season and have,
Starting point is 00:08:16 let's have a giant's upset over the Colts. Let's have a situation where the weather plays around with the Miami Dolphins and the Browns mess around and win that game. Where is the Giants, Colts game? is that in Indianapolis? New York. Oh, it's in New York. Okay.
Starting point is 00:08:30 I kind of liked it. This would be their second time going to the metal lens this year because they obviously took on the Jets. But Tommy DeVito, Tommy DeVito, Tommy Cutlets come up big, you know, with before, he's next in line on the depth chart. Then it's Tim Boyle. So I don't know who Brian Davel is going to be going with in that situation. But I agree. Get the Colts out. Get the Dolphins out.
Starting point is 00:08:50 And Denver, take care of business. Beat the Cincinnati Bengals and their hopes and say, you know what? Hey, we are going to the postseason. That I think is what I'm really excited about maybe seeing how this weekend kind of formulates, which, you know, it's kind of nice because it's in that 2.30 p.m. Mountain time slot. It's that second game before that third game on that Saturday. So it's kind of sandwiched in the middle of.
Starting point is 00:09:09 I think more people are going to be watching. But with that, like you said, there is pressure that comes along with that. And obviously, Denver's going to have to make some hate this week here in practice. This is just, once again, I hate to be cliche, but this is the biggest game the Broncos have played in it. Wow. And look, kind of let's rewind it back to when was it? I think it was 2021.
Starting point is 00:09:29 The Broncos had a late season game against the Cincinnati Bengals where if they would have beaten them, Drew Locke was the quarterback, ironically. Debra would have beaten them. Denver would more likely made the postseason in 2021. So I tell you, let's see it. Let's see it all formulate here. And look, if we could be a little stingy, a little sprinkle, right, if we're going to add it in tours of what we want to see here for the Broncos,
Starting point is 00:09:50 Bo Nicks, can we see him respond with a really big performance and light things up against the Bengals? Like that would be huge for this game. And look, I know Jaden Daniels had a terrific game on Sunday. And a lot of people said, hey, he probably locked up offensive rookie of the year. And look, that five touchdown performance did it? Both could maybe close the gap a little bit because, hey, he's not too far off of something that we'll highlight here in our stocking stuffers coming up here in a little bit on today's episode. Locked on Broncos. But Broncos country, we want to know what's on your Christmas wish list for this team, whether that's with two games remaining or even going into season.
Starting point is 00:10:22 Then we're also going to get into our stocking stuffers. and more likely it's something related to how players finish the season. We'll break that down and much more here on today's episode of the show. Today's episode of Lockdown Broncos is brought to you by friends over there at Fandul, America's number one sportsbook. So if the Broncos want to have their cake and eat it too here this Christmas or have their cookies and milk, if you will. What's going into stocking here, right? What are we asking for on top of what we already asked for? Maybe stuff that we didn't even think was possible to get. Well, Broncos country, Cody and I are going to get into that on today's episode,
Starting point is 00:12:04 Lockdown Broncos. And we're going to get into some of your wish list and stocking stuff for items for the Denver Broncos this season. As we close out, 2024, it's been a fun ride. And thanks so much to every single one of you for rocking with us every single day. For all you every dayers out there, you know that your boys, Cody and Sarah, we got you for the Denver Broncos every day through thick and thin, the off season, the regular season, and hopefully soon the postseason. So if you haven't already done so, hit subscribe wherever you listen to podcasts as well as on YouTube. Cody, let's talk about the stocking stuffers here because, of course, you've already unwrapped all the gifts.
Starting point is 00:12:38 Let's say you get everything you wanted for Christmas. All of a sudden, you got a stocking that's got stuff in it. What's in the stocking this year for the Denver Broncos? Because, of course, this is kind of the window dressing. This is kind of the stuff that's like, oh, yeah, you know, know, maybe you got your PS5 or whatever under the tree. And now you just get a little something, a little everyday carry, a little essential, some stuff.
Starting point is 00:12:59 It's like, man, I didn't want to buy that for myself, but I'll take it. You know, what's in the stocking for the Denver Broncos here in the 2024? Well, I kind of tease it a little bit. And I'm glad you brought this up here. It's like, you know, I think so many people, there's so many different conversations. There's a lot of scroogees out there trying to diminish bone nicks. I mean, all week, it's the, it's the A. dot dweaves and the people who think EPA, you know, EPA is responsible for wins, loss.
Starting point is 00:13:23 I've never seen a, you know, NFL teams ever measured by wins, loss based on EPA here. But for Bo Nix, it's just like, Bo's had a terrific rookie season. And I think so many people are, you know, we got Broncos fans trying to tear down Jaden Daniels to try to prop up Bo Nix. And we got Broncos fans doing the same thing, prop, you know, vice versa. Just the rookie quarterback class this year, I think it's pretty exciting, to be honest with you. What Bo Nix has the chance to do is something special year. He's got 22 total passing touchdowns on the year.
Starting point is 00:13:54 He's got four rushing touchdowns. He's got one receiving touchdown. So if I'm not mistaken, that's 27 total touchdowns that Bo Nix is responsible for this season. Two games remaining, it would be a huge step forward if he could even just eclipse 30 total touchdowns or even more here. You know, in these final couple of games, it'd be hard for him to eclipse 30 passing touchdowns. But man, he's only a few, he's only three touchdowns away from eclipsing touchdowns. altogether. I think that would be a huge stocking stuff
Starting point is 00:14:21 for here for Broncos country and it would maybe change the narrative a little bit to the people that, you know, maybe are watching on Saturday against the Bengals. Yeah, it would be impossible to go through the offseason and say, oh, Bo Nix was so bad in 2024 after he did, you know, what not many players have done in general, but, you know, rookies, especially 30 total touchdowns
Starting point is 00:14:42 in their first NFL season. Like, you can say all you want about A-DOT or, you know, EPA, things like that. I know there's some of these advanced stats. I hate that we, you talk about propping somebody up by putting somebody else down. I hate that we have to kind of talk down about some of these stats because some of them are valuable in terms of analyzing the game. But at times, man, you overlook what you're actually seeing out there in order to, you know,
Starting point is 00:15:07 to talk about a guy, to have discourse. And it's been frustrating. That's why people, people say we defend Bow Nix all the time. It's kind of unfair the way that he's getting put down. That's why we feel like you may have to do that at time. So for a guy to have over 30 touchdowns in a season, I mean, that hasn't been done for the Denver Broncos since Peyton Manning.
Starting point is 00:15:25 Without a run game. Without a run game. And anybody that wants to say to the otherwise is dead wrong. And that's just the long and short of it. So I would love to see over 30 touchdowns for Bo Nix in his rookie year. I think at the beginning of the year, Cody, that would have been like, man, if he could do that, that's, that's wild. I think you and I maybe talked about like 24 or 24 or 20.
Starting point is 00:15:46 five being like a good number, but he's already beaten that. And so I would love to see that. You know what? I'd love to see after this week. You mentioned in segment one about the defensive touchdown. Let's see Nick Benito and PS2 get back into that defensive player of the year conversation again after this week. Because ain't nobody talking about it after the Chargers game. And I get that.
Starting point is 00:16:07 But at the same time, these guys, the body of work has been so outstanding from both Benito and Pat Certan. a big play or two by one or both of these guys against the Cincinnati Bengals, that's a stocking stuff for I'd love to see. Throw that right back in there. These guys being at the top of the DPO Y race. Well, you know what? Because, right, it was T.J. Watt, Passer 10, Nick Benito. I don't think it's changed.
Starting point is 00:16:32 I think they're still very much in it. T.J. Watt, this past week against Baltimore, only had four tackles, didn't have a single sack. I know he's banged up. And now you got the short week where now you have to go play Patrick Mahones and the Kansas City Chiefs. I know the Chiefs offensive line is so hit. miss, but he's been going through a variety of different ups and downs. He's seeing a lot of attention, obviously.
Starting point is 00:16:50 We all know how talented of a pass rush for TJ Watt is. I think that either one of these guys, if they have a big performance, they have a chance to leapfrog T.J. Watt this week, depending on how things go, I think with the Steelers and Chiefs on Christmas Day, that'll be very interesting. I don't think many people are going to be watching that game, you know, especially in Denver. I think people are going to enjoy the Mile High City. They're going to be spending time with their family. They're like, yeah, I don't really care about watching the Steelers and the Chiefs.
Starting point is 00:17:13 It's our job to watch football. though so we'll be doing it and we'll obviously break it down. I think that Denver, either one of these guys has a huge playing. Look, obviously, PS2 versus Jamar Chase. That right there has the chance for Pat to excel and jump into that driver's seat. And then can Nick Benito get after Joe Burrell? If that's the case, I like the chances of both of these guys becoming maybe the favorite
Starting point is 00:17:32 and the runner-up favorite, like second place at this point when we talk about that. Let's talk about this though, okay? Let's look at it. Let's look at some players here. If we can look at, we talked about Bonnix. We talked about Sertana Benito. What is something we've been hoping for to see happen all year? We got it with one guy, with one player.
Starting point is 00:17:50 We've seen this happen that we've been asking for. But there's one player where there have been a couple of opportunities to make an impact in this specific area hasn't quite formulated just yet. We need to see it, Cody. We need to see the Troy Franklin deep ball. I mean, my gosh, we've talked about it so much at this point. Whenever it happens, we don't even, we won't even be able to clip ourselves saying, oh, Troy Franklin's going to have a deep ball catch this week because we've, we've tried to manifest it almost every single week.
Starting point is 00:18:16 So anybody out there that says they called it on the Troy Franklin Deepball, just pull up any one of the 85 clips of Cody and I saying here on the show, my gosh, somebody gives Troy Franklin a 60-yard touchdown catch. You got to be right eventually, right? We got to be. That's exactly it. It's like, man,
Starting point is 00:18:34 if you predict that it's going to be one o'clock, you're going to be right twice a day, right? So, man, I think that that's what we need to see for the Denver Broncos this week with Troy Franklin's get past the defense. get him a 50, 60 yard touchdown play, Bo, be on time with the ball, put it out in front. Troy, finish the play, because that's been the problem this year, hasn't it?
Starting point is 00:18:53 It's like, well, either one or the other. Yeah, one or the other. He's putting it on him and he's not catching it or he's not quite getting it to him in the right spot. So let's see the timing be perfect. I think the stars will align. I think we're going to see the Mighty Morph and Power Rangers are going to transform. Cody, it's going to be just like, like, when Mermaid Men and Barnacle Boy hit the fist together and they become Mermaid Man and Barnacle.
Starting point is 00:19:15 I mean, it's going to be just the, I don't know, it's the eighth wonder of the world. Whatever you want to call it, whenever it does happen, it's going to be glorious to see. Yeah, and look, I'm glad that we got a Marvin Mims deep ball at 93-yard touchdown. That was perfect. You know, we got that off the list here.
Starting point is 00:19:31 Is there anything we maybe want on the wish list here for Cortland Sutton? Like, partly he's trying to figure out what that could be. What's he close to 1,000? He's got to be getting close here. He's got to be real close. to a thousand yards. I feel like, because he was at two games ago, he was at like 858. Right now, if I'm not mistaken, I think he's at a total of 928.
Starting point is 00:19:54 So he really just needs 72. Get him over a thousand. He could do it. The Bengals defense, they're not putting the fear in anybody this year, right? I mean, obviously, Trey Hendrickson, great player. And the Bengals D could go off at any time. They've got the players back there to do it. So we don't underestimate them.
Starting point is 00:20:11 but teams have scored a lot of points against this Bengals defense this year. And they've put up a lot of offensive production. The Broncos can't be the team that is the get right team for this Bengals defense this late in the year. No, and one thing I saw Cincinnati do, they blitzed their nickel quite a bit. They had a couple of safety blitzes. And that's what kind of changed some things against the chargers in the second half. They started moving Derwin James down in the box a little bit more. And they, you know, they trusted their other younger safety on the back end and said,
Starting point is 00:20:39 hey, like we believe our pressure is going to get home. Cincinnati's going to probably try to replicate that. Luana Rumo was obviously a fantastic D-Corporinator. They've had a really down year, which has been odd to see here. But our wish list is that, hey, can Cortland Sutton get to 1K yards receiving in this game? We'll throw it out there. But what did Broncos country want for Christmas in terms of their wish list and also their stocking stuffers? You, the avid listeners across Broncos country sent in some of your responses.
Starting point is 00:21:04 We'll share them and much more here on today's episode, Lockdown Broncos. Today's Lockdown, Broncos podcast is brought to our friends over there at prize picks. Starting point is 00:23:28 exactly what it is we like i said i mean we're we're eternally grateful to be able to have a platform to break down all things, orange and blue, and we have an added fan base. That is fantastic as well. We hope you have a very happy holidays and a Merry Christmas to you and yours. We ask Broncos Country. We always like to open things up here. We ask Broncos Country to respond on social media to send in what their Christmas wish list may be or even their wish list in general for the team after the Christmas is over.
Starting point is 00:23:55 And we got a lot of great responses here, Sarah. I think the number one thing that we saw in terms of the majority of the responses, everybody in Broncos country said a playoff berth. They did. And that's, I think, the most important thing, right? Everybody's Christmas wish list for the Broncos is going to start with a playoff birth. But our man, Daniel L, who longtime listener of the show, always supportive of us, Cody, he took it a step further. He said, might as well win the next four straight. Because remember, the last time the Broncos lost was against the Kansas City Chiefs, the blocked field goal, which in a game they should have won. one, obviously, which could play a huge role in the outcome of this overall season at this point. But the last time the Broncos lost a game, they went on to win four straight. So Daniel's saying, hey, might as well mess around and win four straight again.
Starting point is 00:24:40 Now that you've lost to a division rival, let's see if history can repeat itself. And, you know, if you win four straight games, that would put the Broncos in the AFC championship game. So it's an optimistic wish list item. But you know what? That's what wish lists are all about, right? You got to be optimistic. You got to shoot for the stars here. So, hey, if the Broncos win four straight games from this point forward,
Starting point is 00:25:00 that's going to put them in the AFC championship game for the first time since 2015. Maybe some umbrellas for Saturdays game. As a recording to show, Chris Bianchi of nine news says, heads up. Saturday's game is since he looks pretty soggy, heavy rain possible, though some modeling keeps the heaviest rain post game. Saturday night, 15 to 25 mile per hour, Gus also possible. So, hey, maybe like, Bo, stick them on those gloves, baby.
Starting point is 00:25:25 let's see because we saw what happened in that New York downpour though I don't think this is hurricane weather essentially but a heavy downpour nonetheless we'll go with that I like Daniel's subscription there Cygnus says he asked for a really strong free agency hall in 2025 similar to the Broncos had a couple of years ago so maybe Denver goes out this year in free agency they become massive spenders they get some weapons for bonnics obviously the draft is going to be a part of that but a massive free agency hall I'm very curious sir about that because I think as obviously once the off season gets here we'll start looking at And obviously contracts are expiring in Denver, positions that need upgraded in Denver, who's available that could come in? Like there are so many different things we'll look at is the market going to dictate whether or not Denver can be big spenders. We don't even know what to anticipate a salary cap is just yet for next offseason or for
Starting point is 00:26:11 next season. That's going to be released, I think, here shortly before the Super Bowl comes out. So that's something I think we're going to keep an eye on. But I found that to be interesting as well. Can you get a nice little haul in free agency in 2025? I'm thinking tight end maybe if you don't go in the NFL draft, then again, who's available? You know, can you, is there a wide receiver that maybe Denver can add? I mean, the market right now is so unclear, but I mean, it's a solid list.
Starting point is 00:26:34 I like that. Yeah, we'll see who ends up being in free agency, but certainly the Broncos can do kind of whatever they want. Maybe an ideal offseason to swing some trades. You know, you've got your quarterback in place. This is not considered to be the greatest draft class of all time. So maybe this is a year where you see all the photoshopps of guys who are projected to go in trades like Garrett Wilson or the New York Jets. Like maybe this is the year the Broncos pull the trigger on something like that. And regarding free agency or making moves in general, Broncos have the flexibility over the next few years to backload some contracts.
Starting point is 00:27:10 And Russell Wilson's contract will come off the books in 26. So we should see an interesting structure there in terms of how the Broncos load these things up. but man, they've got the opportunity to do some huge things in the off season, which we're excited to hopefully wait and talk about. But as far as some stocking stuffers here, Cody, Trey Baker asked for Mike Shanahan to be put in the Hall of Fame. I know, you know, Tony Schaeffler asked for Mike Shanahan to be put in the Hall of Fame back at the NFL draft.
Starting point is 00:27:38 I can't believe that Mike isn't in the Hall of Fame. It's one of the most ridiculous talking points. The Hall of Fame has consistently been a negative topic of discussion when it comes to the Denver Broncos. And it's better lately. It's been better lately. More deserving Broncos have been getting in. But the fact that Mike Shanahan, who is arguably the godfather of the best offenses that are in the NFL right now, it's a, it's an atrocity that he's not in the end of the pro football hall of fame at this point. Not to diminish Mike Holmgren or anything like that, but it's like you look at like, where are Holmgren's fingerprints?
Starting point is 00:28:16 Are they talking about maybe Kansas City? obviously Andy Reid coached with him back in the day. But I'm looking at it from this standpoint of saying like Mike Shanahan, you look at his fingerprints. You look at his influence right now. The L.A. Rams, the Green Bay Packers, the Miami Dolphins. Who else did I mention there? I mean, the Minnesota Vikings, that's another one.
Starting point is 00:28:37 I mean, even look at the Jets a couple of years, like last year. They had that same type of scheme. You look even like Ben Johnson a little bit with the Detroit Lions with how they're opening things up. It's Shanahan's concepts are sprinkled and fingerprinted all throughout the NFL. And I just hate that once again, you know, like I said, Mike Holmgren is deserving. But is he deserving to go in right now over Mike Shanahan? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:28:59 I don't think so. And my biggest thing is for Denver, at least, it's felt like it's gotten to a point where some guys get in, like when it's too late, though, like it would have been Pat Boland should have gotten in way before Jerry Jones did, you know? And once again, it's like, obviously it was nice that the Bolin family was able to go there experienced Hall of Fame weekend, but Pat Bowling is known it to be one of the greatest owners in NFL history for, you know, helping kind of revolutionize, you know, the NFL being on primetime television and network deals and everything along those lines, the commitment to
Starting point is 00:29:30 excellence of winning Mike Shanahan embodied those same characteristics, which is why Pat Boland hired him and back-to-back Super Bowles in 97 and 98, changing the game of the offense in today's state of the NFL, Mike Shanahan deserves to go in. I hope 2025 we can see that happen. Obviously, it didn't happen in this cycle here in 2024. That's the hope going in maybe next year he'll get in. But then I think everyone's keeping an eye on Bill Belichick. It's just like, why do we keep ignoring the people that came before these guys?
Starting point is 00:30:00 Like that to me is a little frustrating. I'll be mad about that. But I think that's a fantastic one from Trey Baker. Greg Hunt says he, you know, he's asking for a 100-yard rusher. Well, we just talked about the weather potentially being very rainy. Can Adrake Estime and the Broncos find a way to, you know, maybe right off 100 yards. Denver needs 100 yard rusher. Man, it would be so great to see the run game suddenly get kicked up. Like in the first half it was great. It was trending 84 yards in one half. It's like, all right, here you go. This is it. And then they just got away from it. So maybe Sean won't get away from it in this game against Cincinnati. That's a nice wish list right there from Greg Hunt. And then Sarah, you want to wrap us up with the final one that got sent in from our girlfriend, Bubba. Yeah, Bubba's asking for Riley Moss to be healthy. Sounds like that is going to be the case. You never hear Sean Payton being so transatl. transparent about guys, but when he says, I'm hopeful that he can play this weekend on a month, or I guess it was a Sunday, you can pretty much go to bed at night being, you know, comfortable that Riley Moss is going to play this coming weekend. So I think that's going to happen. I think we're going to at least get one thing on the list here, Cody, as far as Riley Moss being healthy for this game. But once again, it's going to be an interesting week. Obviously, tomorrow's games will be monitoring with very high level of interest.
Starting point is 00:31:15 When it comes to both the Chiefs, you know, Steelers, Ravens, Texans, things like that, it's going to be a fun day of football at the same time. Enjoy your families.
