The first half was a little rough for those Denver Broncos, but they come back to take down
the Las Vegas Raiders, your final score in this one, 29 to 19. Denver improved to 75,
or 75, 7 and 5, excuse me, and the Raiders fall to 2 and 9.
I hope everyone's doing well out there.

More from our friends over at Fanduel in just a little bit.
And man, what a game for the Denver Broncos.
plenty to talk about here on the program tonight.
Brandon Jones with a game-changing interception.
Nick Benito continuing to wreak havoc on opposing teams offenses.
Bo Nix continuing to look the part as QB1.
And of course, Cortland Sutton rounding into form.
And that connection between Bo Nix and Cortland-Sutton continues to get better and better and better as each game goes along.
But one big picture thought before we kind of dive into the X and O's of this game.
this Denver Broncos team is a night and day different football team than they were week one against Seattle.
And I was watching some of the postgame stuff, some of the highlights.
And it's been incredible to see just how far this team has come and how they've evolved
and how they've kind of rounded into form over the last couple of or, you know,
not even the last couple of weeks, really the last couple of months, to be honest with you.
And, you know, they're at seven to five right now.
You know, you saw after the game, if you were watching on TV, they put up the playoff picture.
I mean, Denver's, you know, in that final playoff.
spot in 7 and 5.
You know, Denver has the same record as teams like the Baltimore Ravens and
teams, well, I guess the Ravens still have to play.
But the same record as the Houston Texans, right?
Some perennial playoff teams, obviously in Baltimore and Houston who kind of burst
onto the scene last year.
So this Denver Broncos team, man, they continue to, you know, take some steps forward.
And it's not like, you know, one step forward, two back.
It's more like two forward, one back with how the season is kind of shaken out for them.
But man, what a game today for Denver.
Again, 29 to 19, your final score.
and follow me on social media at media by AP.
And it started out, you know, rather ugly.
You know, Denver gets only a field goal there in the first quarter.
Las Vegas puts up 13 points in the second quarter.
A couple of field goals as well for Denver there in the second.
And, you know, you're kind of sitting here down at halftime.
Like, what is going on?
You know, is it what is this Denver Broncos team?
And, you know, this is a Broncos team that up until today had yet to win a game in Las Vegas.
The Broncos, I believe, were 0 and 8 in Las Vegas before today's game.
So for Sean Payton, for Bo Nixon and the whole squad, the last time the Broncos beat the Raiders on the road is when the Raiders were still playing in Oakland to kind of put it in perspective that way as well.
So a good win for Denver, a gritty win.
And I understand that the Raiders are no good.
But at the end of the day, Denver still had to figure out a way to crawl themselves out of the hole that they dug themselves into.
but the defense really rounded into form there in the second half.
Bo Nicks doing his thing.
Like I said, Cortland Sutton doing his thing as well.
And you really just cannot complain about this game.
You know, a win is a win in the NFL.
You know, not all of them can be like last week against Atlanta,
where you just absolutely beat the brakes off a team.
But the reality of the situation is Denver is 2 and O against the Raiders this year,
7 and 5 on the season as a whole and trending in the right direction here with Thanksgiving,
obviously coming up in a few days.
and the home stretch of the NFL season approaching us.
But man, you'll love to see it from Bo Nix who continues to just get better and better and better.
And look, Jaden Daniels and the commander's loss to the Dallas Galboys today.
I mean, I think we're at the point here, guys.
I'll pull them up when I, well, they might not, they might be locked right now.
But you could really, I was going to say, try to pull up the odds for when I do the fan duel read.
But you can make the argument here that Bo Nix has been the best rookie quarterback in the NFL this year.
And today he turns in a great performance.
Denver really did not run the ball whatsoever.
Bo Nix dropped back to pass 42 times today.
He was 25 for 42 with 273 passing yards, two touchdowns, no interceptions, which has been great.
He continues to get better and better at protecting the football, making smart throws,
throwing the ball away when he needs to.
And I only sacked one time was Bo Nix for a pass rating today of 94.6.
And as I mentioned, you know, we know what Kayla Williams.
has been doing and any of you guys want some more Broncos content make sure to check out the
Mile High Sports YouTube channel I produce our guy Troy Rank of the Denver Post who's been covering
the Broncos for a long long time and him and I were talking about you know he did a whole
segment and then him and I were chit chat after the fact about what I just mentioned of how
Bo Nix is one of if not the best rookie quarterback in the class this year which is crazy
considering you had Caleb Williams had Jaden Daniels he had Drake May you had J.J.
McCarthy and you had Michael Pennix you're talking about this sixth quarterback taken off the board
and Sean Payton identified his guy early in the draft process.
I mean, I think they said they had Nix rated number two.
I think everyone, he had like Jaden Daniels.
I think rated number one and Nicks number two.
But we know that Sean Payton got his guy.
And I don't know if you guys saw this after the game as soon as it ended.
Sean Payton's running on the field, pumping his chest, hyping his players up.
You know, the Broncos do something called Club Dub, which is, you know, kind of like their,
if you know, locker room post game club that they do.
So I'm sure it was a good time, especially in Las Vegas for the Denver Broncos as they get the job done today.
But I've just been so impressed by Bo Nix, who has really not even been one of the best rookie quarterbacks this year.
But over the last four or five games, six games, one of the better quarterbacks in the NFL in general.
And so I don't want to get too far ahead of myself with the Bo Nix hype train.
But you've got to feel good.
You got to at least rest your head at night if you're a Bronco fan knowing you know what?
We've got the coach.
We've got the quarterback.
We've got the defense.
right and this team as you expect will get better and better and better as the years go along.
But for today, an impressive victory for the Denver Broncos, as I mentioned.
They do a great job of wreaking havoc on the quarterback.
They get a couple.
They get the big turnover there towards the end of the game.
Nick Panito forcing the fumble.
Nick Benito has been incredible.
And also check us out at Mile High Sports.
We do a magazine.
I can't spill the beans too much.
But if you like Nick, if you like Nick Pinito, if you like other big players on the Broncos defense,
if you're a nugget fan and you like one of the stars,
make sure to check us out at Mile High Sports because we are dropping something fun with the magazine coming up here in just a couple of weeks.
But, you know, just a complete effort, I would say, from Denver in the second half just did a great job of disrupting whatever sort of momentum the Raiders have managed to establish early in this game.
And that's exactly what you want to see from a Broncos team that is trying to make the playoffs, you know?
And the NFL has been pretty wacky this year.
You know, some bad teams have been in some of these games.
And, you know, we've seen some bad losses.
like I think what the Col or the Titans beat the Texans today.
You know, it's been kind of a wacky year, but nice to not, you know,
nice to see the Broncos not let the moment get too big for them.
And they end up getting this win today, 29 to 19.
Thanks a lot to their defense generating some turnovers.
And of course, the steady play of quarterback Bo Nix as he continues to blossom in front of us.
And, you know, still a lot of games left to go throughout the course of the season.
And like I said, you were expected to beat the Raiders today.
You know, the Broncos were a five and a half point favorite.
Obviously, they end up covering that spread, but they had to do it and come from behind fashion.
And when you look at this Broncos team, a lot of the touchdown drives that we saw Denver score on today,
you know, whether it was both of Cortland's receptions, like it seems like in years past,
a lot of those drives would stall and they would settle for a field goals.
And that's why I started out the show was say, look at how much this Broncos team has developed
from week one against Seattle to where they are now.
And to me, it's a night and day difference, which is really exciting because it's a team that seems to kind of be jelling more and more.
They seem to, you know, just their continuity is growing with this club.
They understand what they're good at.
They understand what they struggle at.
They understand how to play to their strengths.
And today, I think what you saw was a complete victory from a team that is going to likely to make the playoffs.
I don't want to get too far ahead of myself.
But if they keep playing, whether they'd have and they keep showing that resiliency that they've displayed throughout the course of
this season, specifically the last couple of months.
I mean, this is going to be a feisty team to try to take down.
We know how good they are on defense.
We know the offense is coming along.
And like I said, I mean, you're seeing the wide receiving group, which was a major
question mark from the Denver Broncos kind of entering this season, a lot of different
guys figuring out different types of roles and dynamics within this offense, thanks in
part to Sean Payton.
And again, that depth of knowledge that you have from playing a handful of games now, you
know, a majority of your schedule, you kind of understand what you have with guys like
Marvin Mims who had a nice day.
Devon Bailey, who had a great day.
Cortland Sutton, who continues to step up.
So a lot of positive signs from the Denver Broncos game today as they take down the Las Vegas Raiders.
Your final score, 29 to 19.
Like I mentioned, Denver's now at 7 and 5, 4 and 3 on the road.
The Raiders fall to 2 and 9 and just 1 and 4 at home.
But the Broncos, getting the job done.
Their first ever win in Las Vegas, hopefully many more to come.
You'll love to see it.
All right, folks, let me hit my first.
first out of break. When we come back, we'll continue along with the conversation.
Let's talk a little Cortland side. Let's talk a little Denver Broncos wide receivers.
I talked to you about Bo Nix, but we'll talk about his playmakers that are helping him out and helping this Denver Broncos team get some victories.
Stick with me back in just a moment talking Broncos offense and the wide receiving court.

I am your host, Nilo Piro.
Thank you guys so much for tuning in.
You guys can follow me on social media, at media.
by AP. And if you're watching live on YouTube, do me a favor like this video, subscribe to the channel and drop some comments.
Let me know how you guys are feeling out there as the Denver Broncos take down the Las Vegas Raiders, their rival, 29 to 19, your final score.
But like this video, subscribe, and let's go back and forth. So if you've got any thoughts or opinions from the game today, drop some comments.
I'll push them up on the screen and we'll have a good time. But as I mentioned, I want to talk about the Denver Broncos wide receiving room today because they were great and a nice variety.
of receivers out there.
They had 273 receiving yards, passing yards, whatever you want to call it,
led by Cortland Sutton, who had eight receptions for 97 yards and two touchdowns,
both catches, which were absolutely phenomenal for court.
And Sutton, you know, with the Broncos decision to kind of let go of Tim Patrick before
the year, Sutton was the only real kind of veteran guy, even though he's in the prime of his
career that Denver was going to have for rookie quarterback Bo Nix.
And look, I don't know if Cortland Sutton is a de facto number one wide receiver,
like he is for the Denver Broncos, of course, but around the league, like if you put
Cortland Sutton on, you know, other teams, is he automatically the number one receiver?
Probably not.
I think Cortland Sutton still profiles a little bit more like a two.
But today and really over the line, like that's the thing is not to say that he doesn't
have number one potential, but, you know, just what we've seen and you want to blame the
the litany of quarterbacks he had to deal with, whatever it might be.
But Cortland Sutton has been an absolute dream for Bo Nix and Sean Payton in this offense.
And today you see that when Bo Nix has the ball and he drops back to pass and the Broncos need to play,
they're looking towards Cortland Sutton's way.
And that to me is the definition of a guy who is living up to the expectation that the Broncos needed him to.
Because like I said, we'll talk about Devon Bailey.
We'll talk about Marvin Mims and whatnot.
I still don't understand why they let go of Tim Patrick.
but by doing that, in my opinion,
to put more and more pressure on a guy like Cortland Sutton
to kind of step up and be that safety blanket for a guy like Bo Nix
and to his credit, let's tip the cap.
That is exactly what Cortland Sutton has done for this Denver Broncos team.
So I thought he was phenomenal today.
And I think, like I said in the first segment,
part of the growth in continuity that you're seeing with this Denver Broncos team,
I think just does come from that experience.
And like I mentioned, you know,
Cortland Sutton's a guy.
I forget if he was holding out for a contract
before the year.
You know, there was some sort of contract dispute with court.
He ends up restructuring some stuff.
He comes back in like a professional.
You know, this is a guy that has had, what,
probably close to 10 different starting quarterbacks,
throwing him the ball over the course of his NFL career.
And it seems like Bo Nix has truly identified his number one guy
because Cortland Sutton for roughly the last month has been popping off.
Let me pull up his game log here real quick because he has been,
like I said, I still question a little bit about
what Cortland Sutton's ceiling is a wide receiver,
but all I know is what he's been doing in the second half of this year
has been absolutely phenomenal.
So let's see here.
Yeah, I mean, you're looking here.
This is the last five games.
Today he had eight receptions for 97 yards and two scores against Atlanta,
seven for 78, you know, so still being pretty productive on that front.
Against Kansas City, six for 70, but with a touchdown.
And then before that, back to back, 100 yard receiving games for Cortland.
son against Baltimore. He had seven for 122 and against Carolina. He had eight for a hundred.
So you're looking at a guy that while he's only scored three touchdowns in his last five games,
he's been, you know, doing a great job of fighting through contact, making tough catches,
and just really, like I said, being that safety blanket type of guy for the Denver Broncos.
And today he leads the way with two touchdowns, both of the touchdown passes, obviously coming from
Bo Nix as the Denver Broncos win this game against the Las Vegas Raiders 29th.
19. So shout out to court, man, number 14. He's been playing really good football here in the last month, month and a half or so here for the Denver Broncos. And the Broncos haven't even had their buy week. I think that's another thing to kind of be excited about is the Broncos still have a lot, you know, a lot to play for obviously with the playoffs, but they're going to have an opportunity here to kind of rest and recuperate right around the holidays and then come back and finish those last full, last handful of regular season game strong. But in regards to other players on the Broncos today at wide receiver, Devon Bailey continues to.
to come on as well. He was six for eight, six receptions for 80 yards today, making a nice
impact was number 17, Devon Bailey. And looking at some of his recent performances, you know,
the last three games, you know, he's got at least four receptions in each of those games,
with today being the highlight for him with those six for 80. But against Atlanta, he had four for
66 and against Kansas City, he had four for 39 with a touchdown. So like I said, this Broncos
wide receiver room is all coming together at the right time, which is very important, especially
because the Broncos, much like the Colorado Buffaloes, who had a terrible loss yesterday to Kansas,
don't really have much of an identity in the running game. And we know that Sean Payton wants to
throw the ball. He's a pass happy head coach, right? But I mean, Denver's running game today was
virtually not existed. I mean, yeah, Joliel McLaughlin had seven carries for 44 yards.
Adrick Estuary, three carries for 15 yards. I mean, only 63 yards of total rushing offense
for the Denver Broncos. Now, the Raiders weren't much better. They only had 69 total yards
a rushing offense.
But knowing that you're going to lean on your passing game with a rookie quarterback,
it's important for guys like Cortland Sutton, Devon Bayleigh, to shoulder the load here
and do what they can to support Bo.
And Bo has just continued to get better and better and better as these games have gone
along with his decision making, his ability to find the open man.
And so it's all coming together nicely right now for the Denver Broncos.
But Marvin Mims added three receptions for 44 yards.
Troy Franklin had two receptions for 31 yards as well.
So a handful of different guys getting involved for the Denver Broncos here today.
And we got to talk about the defense as well.
I mean, I talked a little bit about Nick Benito, Malcolm Roach, wreaking havoc.
Cody Barton wreaking havoc.
Brandon Jones with a game changing interception in this game as well.
So why don't we hit our final break?
And when we come back, we'll talk about the defense.
We'll talk about how the Denver Broncos were able to flip this script and get the dub.
afternoon in Las Vegas.

Okay, welcome on back into your lockdown Broncos postcast. I am your host, Anilo Piro.

But about the defense, man,
that Brandon Jones interception there in the second half was just to me,
and it's not, you know, anyone that watched the game probably feels that way as well.
That was the moment where the tide turned here for the Denver Broncos.
It's kind of like they snapped back into reality a little bit there.
And from that moment on, ma'am, Denver just, you know, kept their foot on the gas.
It was a 37-yard return from Brandon Jones.
And, you know, that's when you kind of saw the Denver Broncos defense.
Remember who they were.
Like we just talked about with the offense, they kicked it into gear with two touchdowns from Cortland Sutton and Devon Bailey having a day.
You know, but the Broncos defense was great today.
Cody Barton, I thought, was phenomenal.
He was all over the place, had a half a sack today.
Six total tackles for Cody Barton.
Nick Benito, man.
I mean, this guy is a wrecking machine, a wrecking machine.
A sack today for Benito, I believe he's what the first player since Bradley Chubbin,
in 2018, the first Bronco player, that is, to have double-digit sacks in a season.
Number 15, Nick Benito is like I said, just an absolute wrecking ball out there.
And we knew one of the big areas of focus for the Denver Broncos today, if they wanted to win,
was slowing down the offensive production of Brock Bowers, the rookie titan out of
Georgia, and that's exactly what they did.
Only four receptions today for Bowers for only 38 yards, no touchdowns.
Jacoby Myers did cook him.
He had 10 for 121, but no touchdowns as well.
Some of those were chunk plays at garbage time at the end of the game.
But, you know, being able to take away Brock Bowers, I think that, you know, was definitely
able to set up this Denver Broncos team for the win.
Gardner Minshue was not great today.
25 for 42, 230 yards, a touchdown and interception, quarterback rating of 72 and a half.
He got knocked out of this game.
So they'd have put Desmond Ritter in there for a few drives there at the end of the game.
But all in all, man, I mean, this Denver Broncos defense was ferocious.
And, you know, they only had our, let's see here, I lost my stats here from a moment.
You know, they hold Vegas to 414 on third down.
Vegas did convert two fourth down opportunities, including the fake punt at one point in this game.
But, you know, Denver wins the time of possession battle as well, 31 to 28 and some change and whatnot.
But, you know, I really just don't think you could be upset because once Denver settled into this game
and realized that they were the Denver Broncos of this year going up against the Las Vegas Raiders,
that's when this issue was all set and done.
And again, to me, the tone setter in the second half was the Brandon Jones interception.
And then from there, everything seemed to kind of fall into place for the Denver Broncos here today.
So love to see it.
And a good win, you know, now two in a row after the Broncos had those two losses in a row to the Ravens
and the Chiefs, they bounce back now with consecutive victories against the Falcons and the Raiders.
One in blowout fashion and one and come from behind fashion.
But again, the final score, you know, shows you that the Denver Broncos got the job done in a pretty strong manner this afternoon.
So before we get out of here, though, looking at the Broncos' upcoming schedule.
They'll play the Cleveland Browns here up next.
And then they got the Indianapolis Colts before a big time matchup.
I just got a flex to Thursday night of football against the Los Angeles Chargers.
on the 19th of December.
So we'll see, but I mean, you got to feel pretty good about Denver's chances.
I mean, let's see, there's seven and five.
I mean, they should win three of these last five games here, you know, hopefully four out of five.
I mean, you expect them to beat the Browns.
You expect them to beat the Colts.
You know, you expect them to beat the Bengals as well.
And frankly, if they want to, you know, do some damage and make some noise in the playoffs,
you'll want to see them at least split with the Chargers and the Chiefs.
So still two divisional games remain on the schedule for the Denver Broncos.
and that final game of the season against the Chiefs might be one that has some serious playoff implications as well.
So next we are coming up next against the Browns and then the Colts, look, I don't want to get too far ahead of myself,
but there should be a four-game win streak if everything goes to plan,
if everything goes according to plan here for the Denver Broncos,
and then you get a nice little test there in the middle of December against the Los Angeles Chargers.
But man, what a game here today.
The Broncos 2 and 0 against the Raiders, their first win ever in Las Vegas.
And they are trending in the right direction, are the Denver Broncos.
One more time, let's take a look here at some of Bo Nix's stats,
just because I thought he was great today.
25 for 42, 273 yards passing and two touchdowns with no interceptions.
And again, that was without a rushing attack.
Cortland Sutton with the two touchdowns.
Devon, they lay with 80 yards of his own.
And Bo Nix continues to show why he is the quarterback of the future.
Remember all those questions we had after the first two or three weeks is Bo Nix the guy?
Why did they draft him?
Why did they do that?
Isn't it crazy how everything kind of flipped itself on its head?
And that's because of the maturation and the continued development of this team under the command of Sean Payton, under the command with the defense with Vance Joseph.
And you've got to be happy with the results that you're seeing right now.
Because as I said to start the show, I'll end the show the same way.
The Broncos in week one against Seattle are a much different team than they are right now after today's 29 to 19 win against the Las Vegas Raiders.
