Starting point is 00:00:00 The one thing that was supposed to set the Denver Broncos free this season was used against them by the Kansas City Chiefs. They ran all over the Broncos defense. You are locked on Broncos. Your daily Denver Broncos podcast. Part of the Locked on podcast network, your team every day. What's up Broncos country? Cody Roar, Credential Broncos reporter here for another episode of the show. The Broncos defense, they had a disaster class in the tackling department on Monday night football.
Starting point is 00:00:32 And it led to them getting embarrassed in Monday, Monday. season opener. We'll go through that. Plus, the Broncos offense, too many self-inflicted mistakes on top of some of the issues that hurt them last year, including not committing to running the football. And where do the Broncos go from here? Well, they can't make any excuses. They've got to wake up and they've got to go to work because the Jaguars, they're coming to town and they're not going to feel sorry for this Broncos team. We'll get all that here on today's post-game show here. Lockdown Broncos brought to you by friends over there at the game time app, download the game time app, create an account and use code locked on for $20 off your first purchase. Let's get into it. Broncos country, I said it from the onset of this show here when it comes to this Broncos team. The thing that was supposed to set them free this season was used against them. And what I mean by that is the Broncos, they were supposed to come out here and try to run the football against the Chiefs on Monday Night Football.
Starting point is 00:01:22 Instead, it was the Kansas City Chiefs coming out and running the football down their throats. And this was really from the onset of this game. The idea was Patrick Mahomes, his first game back. And I don't know if the emotions behind the. that if the Broncos overlooked him. I mean, once again, being at practice talking to guys, they said that they were preparing for Patrick Mahomes as if he was going to be the same guy that he was. And ironically enough, he has a 15-yard touchdown run to open up the game. He really got things going with his legs specifically, but it was Kenneth Walker that did the damage here
Starting point is 00:01:53 obviously against the Broncos defense to the tune where the entire defense, according to NFL next gen stats, they missed 28 tackles. I haven't seen a performance like this really since the Miami Dolphins debacle 70 to 20. in terms of mistackles, guys just trying to arm tackle. And what was one thing that Vance Joseph said here specifically this week, if he gets out to the outside perimeter and he gets one-on-one in the open field against a DB, that's not a favorable matchup. They have to find a way to corral him early on,
Starting point is 00:02:22 and they simply couldn't do it. And the tip of the cap to the Kansas City Chiefs that are in short-yarded situations, they went heavy personnel. They brought in two extra offensive linemen. One of them was a defensive lineman, played for that role for the New England Patriots last season for them, and then they just ran the football. And it didn't matter. The Broncos, I felt like they came out in the second half in the third quarter.
Starting point is 00:02:42 I felt like they adjusted with extra bodies, but it didn't matter. On the fourth play of the second half, what does Kenneth Walker do? He explodes for a 60-yard touchdown on fourth and one. So once again, I just think this was a disappointing effort from this Broncos defense. Clearly not to the standard that they hold for themselves, certainly from the stuff that we've been talking about at practice. And folks, I must preface this because I feel like it is a reminder for some people, because people are mad at me, people are mad at us for talking about what we saw from the team in the off season,
Starting point is 00:03:09 what we saw at practice and things like that. And people get mad at us for what we see. But here's the thing. What we see at practice doesn't mean that that's going to translate into the regular season. That's the reality of it all. I'll be honest with you. I was shocked at the result that we saw here on Monday night. I was disappointed by the effort.
Starting point is 00:03:27 Once again, the Broncos, they just couldn't tackle. They couldn't bring the one guy up to wrap up the ball carry. the other guy to come out and group tackle. The Broncos just tried to hit stick guys all night, and Kenneth Walker made him pay for it. And so the reality of it is very simple here. The defense has to go back and figure things out because, yes, they were billed as one of the top defenses in the NFL last season.
Starting point is 00:03:49 I felt like they had a really good off season. That doesn't matter. That means jack squat. And we saw that on Monday night football. The Kansas City Chiefs, they did not care about that. They felt like they were just going to come out and try to stop the run and then try to get Mahomes into passing situations. Patrick Mahomes didn't have.
Starting point is 00:04:03 to have an impact on this game. And he really didn't. He didn't play his best game in his first game back. But man, he ran a little bit. He made a couple of throws here and there. He caught Vance Joseph's defense against the Blitz on one specific play. But Mahomes didn't light the world on fire in this game specifically. He got a couple of big chunk plays late obviously as the game kind of went on. But Brandon Jones had an interception of Mahomes and the Broncos offense couldn't do anything with that. And I'll talk about the offense and their struggles, the self-inflicted the mistakes that we've seen from them. I'll talk about that here in just a little bit. But when you talk about about just getting back to where you need to be. Is this a problem here for the Broncos because
Starting point is 00:04:38 they didn't play enough snaps in the preseason? Maybe. Maybe not, right? I don't know if in this situation correlation equals causation, but one thing is very clear. There are far too many instances where the Broncos, they're getting in the backfield or there's a pile and the running back is trying to find a hole and that guy is getting through. He's squeezing through. And it wasn't just Kenneth Walker at times. Emmett Johnson had a couple of big plays here. The Broncos for the most part held him in check outside of one run that he had specifically. But aside from that, that was in a passing game. That wasn't really even a run.
Starting point is 00:05:10 He had a big, I believe, if I'm not mistaken, a 25-yard catch and run. To me, Denver had too many miscommunication issues in the run game specifically. I felt like the Chiefs came out and they had a really good game plan to go with extra bodies. And look, of course, they incorporate some pre-snap motion. That's just window dressing for the most part. But while worked for Kansas City, it was just lining it up and running the ball.
Starting point is 00:05:32 what the Denver Broncos were supposed to do in this game. And this is a multifaceted complaint here on today's postgame show. And look, one game, one game isn't going to define the 2026 Denver Broncos, but how they respond is certainly going to matter here, especially going forward after a disappointing performance like this on national television with all the hype surrounding this team, surrounding the defense specifically. We talked to Pat Sartan after the game, and he said, we need a slice of humble pie and we sure got it tonight.
Starting point is 00:06:00 That's putting it kindly. The Broncos got more than humble pie. They got the whole caboose. They got everything. You get hors d'oeuvres. You want a freaking popsicle. You got all that stuff. The Chiefs impose their will physically on the Broncos defense here tonight.
Starting point is 00:06:14 And there are some other questions. Now, obviously, I think one of the bigger things I have to do, I have to go back and I have to watch the tape. But sitting up there and watching it as it goes, it just seems like far too often, the Broncos went a little light initially early on against the run. And that led to the offensive line being able to double team. of the nearest gap threats and then get up to the playside linebacker. It just felt like far too many times there was a linebacker that was getting blocked by an offensive lineman far too often.
Starting point is 00:06:42 And that's not even the most problematic thing of it all. It is the tackling. It is the going up there, guys diving at the legs of guys, guys not trusting their technique. And that's what we saw here on Monday night football. Plain is simple. The Broncos, they did not do what the coaches clearly have emphasized for them. And of course, look, this is multifacist. It's not just on the players, also on the coaches as well.
Starting point is 00:07:01 The coaches put the players in the position. Players also have to go out there and execute. But Denver, I don't know what it was, but they came out and they laid a massive egg here on Monday night football. When the cheese came out and Sean Payton even said this to us after the game, he said, based on their offseason moves, we felt like they were going to commit to run in the football. They certainly did just that. They committed to it more than the Denver Broncos did. And in the first half, I'll tell you probably the more gleaning statistic here is that the chiefs ran the ball 19 times in the first half. And they had over 100 yards between Mahomes.
Starting point is 00:07:31 and obviously Kenneth Walker, they finished the game with over 200 yards rushing here, but they committed to it. The Broncos did not commit to it, and that in and of itself is a problem. The lack of a run game, plus the self-inflicted mistakes. That really hurt the Denver Broncos in Monday night football.
Starting point is 00:07:46 We'll break that down here on today's episode of the show. The Broncos offense just couldn't get it done on Monday night football. After being billed as a team that was much more improved going out there
Starting point is 00:09:56 making the key addition to Jalen Waddle, none of that mattered on Monday night. Broncos country. Thanks for rock with us through the good, the bad, and the ugly here on Lockdown Broncos. Part of the Lockdown Podcast Network, your team every day. We appreciate you so much. Also, the number one sports podcast network in the country. We talked about the disaster class that was the Broncos defense and their inability to stop the run. Well, for the Broncos, it was almost the inverse. Not only was it penalties, which were an issue for them last year, not only the self-inflicted mistakes, but it was also the unwillingness, the lack of commitment to running the football. And once again, this was a team that came out,
Starting point is 00:10:32 and even under Davis Webb, not a great debut for the first time play caller here. And I understand there's going to be a lot of knee-jerk reactions. His first sample size was not great. Does that mean that he should be fired right? Come on. Let's be logical here. I know that's the easy solution after a bad performance, but these guys have to grow. Davis needs to have something like this. And it's better, in my opinion, to have this right now than later on in the year. But that's not going to excuse week two week three week four week five week six you name it the broncos there was a sense of urgency for them to get better and i said it from the very beginning of the show the one thing i was supposed to set the broncos free this year was used against them
Starting point is 00:11:10 the broncos did not come out in this game and try to run the football they had six total rushing attempts at halftime folks for i think 11 total yards whereas kansas city ran the ball 19 times in the first half for over 100 yards they finished with over 200 yards on the ground they didn't Patrick Mahomes to go out there and do anything crazy. But for an offense and for Bo Nix, yes, you went out and you got a playmaker and Jalen Waddle. He was hardly featured in this game plan. And I was, to be honest with you, I was surprised. Kansas City, they played a lot of zone defense.
Starting point is 00:11:41 Steve Spagnol did a great job disguising. And the Broncos offensive line certainly didn't help them in past protection. Bo Nix had a rough game. We'll talk about all that here in a minute. But I was surprised to see Jalen Wadle not used as much or targeted as much. He finished this game with three total targets on the evening. catch for two yards. He was the decoy specifically where he was running out of the backfield on a route where Evan Ingram scored on the corner route against the cover two. That's what Jalen Waddle
Starting point is 00:12:07 can do. Jalen Waddle can draw that attention to create opportunities for other guys. And I felt like Pat Bryant was another name who had rhythm early on in this game. He did have a bad drop. Jalen had a really bad drop on a third and short where Bow Nix fired it against the blitz on a slant and he just dropped it. You can't have those issues come back to bite you in the rear end, especially on the road against a tough Kansas City Chiefs team and a tough Kansas City Chiefs defense that I will say on paper, I felt like the Chiefs defense had gotten worse in the off season. But once again, folks, it's a great reminder. What you see on paper, whether a team's really good, whether a team's really bad, that may or may not be the reality. And week one is ultimately not going to determine that.
Starting point is 00:12:47 But Kansas City was the far better team on Monday night football, unfortunately. And they made the Broncos offense look abysmal, look like what we saw in the Nathaniel Hackett era. And I hate to bring back that memory. But it's true. The Broncos finished this game with 176 net yards of offense. And they finished the game with 61 yards rushing. The problem that I have here specifically with how the Broncos approach this game, okay, you're down seven nothing.
Starting point is 00:13:11 I understand you've got to press a little bit, right? Bownex has the bad interception on the first offensive drive. But Bowles responded, the offense responded. They go down and they score a touchdown. It's 7-7. You think at that point you would come out there and run the ball, especially when you have a third and two. The Broncos decide to throw it.
Starting point is 00:13:27 They throw it short of the sticks and the wide receiver can't get the first down. They have a third and one. They motion to empty and they try to throw it and it's incomplete. There is no emphasis in the short-yarded situations, at least on Monday night football, to run the football. J.K. Dobbins comes out in the second half and he has a big run off the left side. Where was that in the first quarter? Where was that emphasis in the second quarter from the play callers?
Starting point is 00:13:51 Now, I understand, too, the Broncos, they also run a lot of RPO's, run past options, meaning depending on the look, depending on what a certain defender does that they're reading, they're either going to hand the football off or they're going to throw it on a specific look. And that's where we saw, I think, the bubble game, the bubble screen game throw into Pat Bryan a little bit. We saw that involvement kind of take place throughout the course of this game. But the inability to run the football, it's the same story. It's the same story. And the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and over and over. again in expecting a different result. Change the play caller. No more Sean Payton.
Starting point is 00:14:25 Go to Davis Webb. Same result. And I think a fair, and this may be a little snarky on my behalf, but I think Davis Webb did a great job of calling Sean Payton's often the way he did. The run-pass balance was not equal in Monday's game here specifically. The Broncos threw the ball too much in the first half when they didn't need to. I understand opportunities there. You want to take some shots, but it wasn't there. The protection wasn't consistent.
Starting point is 00:14:48 It wasn't clean. Bow-Nicks wasn't making the best decisions. either and now just kind of snowball, right? Denver's inability to run the football combined with their inability to stop the run on the Kansas City Chief's side, snowballed into this negative thing where it led to the Broncos offense committing too many penalties because they're pressing. I felt like maybe a call or two was a bad holding call.
Starting point is 00:15:08 I didn't agree with it. But there are times where you just got to get the right angle. If you're a receiver, you got to maintain your block a little bit. The scramble drill I felt like was a little bit of a disaster because, look, the chiefs are dropping six, seven guys back in a coverage plane zone. defense in certain situations, Bo is scrambling around and nobody is getting open. And luckily,
Starting point is 00:15:27 the Broncos avoided disaster on one specific play with Bo Nix. Fumbled in the football, but being out of bounds and touching the defender. So it wouldn't have counted the play who's kind of blown dead. I mean, Denver got lucky in a lot of instances. Three fumbles in this game for the Broncos and Bo Nix. He lost one of them, but three balls on the ground.
Starting point is 00:15:44 That's unacceptable. The interception, that was a great play by the Chiefs rookie defensive back. The rookie corner that ended up missing the rest of the game, had a shoulder injury. The Chiefs just came out with their hair on fire. And the Broncos came out like a team that was kind of smelling their own roses for a little bit. And listening to the noise, listening to the hype.
Starting point is 00:16:02 And just going back in the locker room and talking to these guys after the game, hearing Bow Nix at the podium, one thing he said was, you know, for Davis Webb and his debut, he said, felt like we as players, we didn't do a good job for him. We felt like our performance was pitiful for him. We didn't do a great job. But he maintained that Davis was a pro saying, hey, we're going to move on to the next play. Okay, there's that. But I think a lot of people are now wondering what is Sean Payton's level of patience like?
Starting point is 00:16:26 After a loss, usually Sean is Sean's willing to be honest and open. But the number one thing that Sean said is, I got to go back and I got to watch the film. And what he's going to turn on when he turns on the tape, he's going to see the Broncos inability to commit to the run game. And there were times, too, we have our binoculars. We're looking in the press box. We're looking at the sideline. It looked like at times Sean was having an animated conversation with Zach Streif, Broncos run game coordinator. but how do you come into a game where you know you have to take pressure off your quarterback no matter what?
Starting point is 00:16:54 In today's NFL, you have to be able to run the football. And Denver simply couldn't do it last year. Where you think they were going to come out and do it this year? I thought that they were. I was wrong. I was shocked. You elevate Jonah Coleman for your game day roster, the rookie running back out of Washington. Not to say that Jonah was going to come in and be the difference maker, but we don't know.
Starting point is 00:17:11 We don't know. But your leading ball carrier, J.K. Dobbins only has eight rushing attempts on the evening for 36 yards. He had that big 17-yard run to open up in the third quarter. That was it. RJ Harvey had a couple of nice runs here and there. Troy Franklin had a five-yard end-round play, and Bo Nix had to scramble on a couple of plays. The Broncos' commitment to the run game was non-existent.
Starting point is 00:17:31 And if it continues to be non-existent, this is going to be a disastrous season if the Broncos continue to try to do the same exact thing over and over again and expecting a different result. You may have to change some personnel. You may have to change some scheme philosophies that you want to do. But you didn't put in all this work here in training camp and the grueling summers in the heat, the two practices a day to come out here and look like you've taken a step back when you feel like in that position specific at running back where they've talked about.
Starting point is 00:18:00 They feel like they upgraded the room. They've added a playmaker and J. Linwato for the offense to look this bad. This was one of Bo Nix's worst games. And ultimately, between the defense, between Bo Nix, the Broncos couldn't overcome this bad performance collectively from Nix, the offense, the run game, the defense, you name it. This was a snowball effect and it could have some consequences. Look, I'm saying right now week one, the season is not over here in week one, but there's a sense of urgency to get better. And I think the Broncos, they're going to take that advice.
Starting point is 00:18:30 They're going to get back to work. They've got to look themselves in the mirror. And that's one thing I'll say. The message was consistent. We've got to look ourselves in the mirror. We've got to accept the coaching and the critiques. And we've got to be able to make changes and move on and prepare for Jacksonville because they're a red hot team right now.
Starting point is 00:18:45 They gave the Broncos fits last year and they're coming to town. and they're a little bit hungry here. So what do the Broncos have to do next? It starts with making no excuses. They've got to wake up and they got to go to work. We'll tell you what they need to tackle this week here on today's episode of the show. Today's episode of the show is brought to you by our friends over there at five-hour energy. And there are certain flavors that instantly feel like summer.

Are we talking more rewarding than a touchdown with time expiring or a game winning drive in overtime? More rewarding than an 18-point comeback where your team had you on the edge of your seat or maybe even more rewarding than an offensive lineman catching a touchdown. Well, the Broncos, they did a lot of that in 2025.
Starting point is 00:20:21 They even had an offensive lineman catch a touchdown in the playoffs. And this season, Fandu is making the excitement go beyond what happens on the field with the all-new Fandu rewards club featuring exclusive offers, surprises, and so much more inside of the app. And every single week, the NFL gives you something new to watch every week. Starting point is 00:21:09 And we'll see what the Broncos decided to do this week with a tough Jacksonville Jaguars team coming to town on Sunday. The challenge for the Broncos specifically is that they are up against the clock when it comes to the time, the preparedness to be able to go through on Tuesday and watch the Chiefs game back in full, flush it from your system, accept the coaching and critique, understand what you have to do better. And then also realize this is how Jacksonville is going to plan to attack us offensively, defensively, and then you've got to figure out your game plan from there. Based on the stuff that you've seen from film where they beat out the Cleveland Browns, as bad as they did in week one here. But it's an opportunity as well here for this team because right now this Broncos team is getting off to a slow start for the third consecutive season under Sean Payton, something that they have emphasized year over year. We need to find a way to get off to a fast start. Week one certainly wasn't the case.
Starting point is 00:22:00 But can you turn that around here in week two? That is the challenge. But once again, this first stretch of games, we're going to find out about this Broncos team a little bit. And I think we found out a little bit about them here on Monday night football in week one. I personally don't believe this is the team. Like the team that we saw on Monday night, I personally do not believe that this is the team that will define the Broncos 2026 season.
Starting point is 00:22:23 I don't think that that is the version of the team that we're going to see the rest of the way. But do they find themselves in a little bit of a hole that to dig themselves out of here? That's the one thing you want to avoid. You want to avoid going 0 and 2 to start the year. And then you've got to face a tough L.A. Rams team that laid an egg of their own in week one, specifically.
Starting point is 00:22:40 And then you've got to face a 49ers team that look pretty good in week one. So the gauntlet is ahead, and I understand, I'm always guilty of this. I say, like focus on one week at a time. That's going to be my focus here. And so the focus now is Jacksonville. So what do the Broncos have to do? They can't make excuses. And I don't think in the locker room, too, folks, I understand, too, the emotion, right, as the game is going on, and they're getting beaten, blown out the way that they are.
Starting point is 00:23:02 And then people, fans don't want to hear them talking about things that they're going to change. I understand that. But in the locker room, I'm telling you, just even guys, even off the record, guys, they're not making excuses. They said, we didn't play well. This is not who we are. It's up to us to go out there and fix it. And so, I mean, that's the truth. That is the reality.
Starting point is 00:23:20 It is on them. It is on the coaches to put them in a good position. But it's on the players to go out there and execute and bring proper technique to the fold here, whether it's in the past coverage game, whether it's against the run, tackling. That's obviously something they're going to have to get better at because it was abysmal. 28 missed tackles here in week one. That's not going to cut it. You can't do that throughout the remainder of the season.
Starting point is 00:23:40 So it's going to sink you very, very quickly here. And it's going out there and committing to the dang run game. I mean, I can't recall off the top of my head just watching the game from the press box. How often do we see Bow Nicks under center in terms of them trying to get the run game going? Not very often. We saw some pre-snap motion. But so much of what we saw from the offense here in week one is a lot of what we saw last year in the moments that this offense struggled. It was the same characteristics of the penalties, the self-inflicted wounds,
Starting point is 00:24:08 and there's also non-complementary football. special teams is probably the only facet of this game on Monday night where Denver played well. Jeremy Croshoob booted the ball well. But guess what? You don't want to punt the freaking ball. You want to go out there and you want to run. You want to kick extra points. You know, you want to kick a field goal here or there, but that's not going to matter.
Starting point is 00:24:25 I mean, the Broncos, they got an interception off Patrick Mahomes. They returned it all the way to the 10-yard line. You think that they would go forward? No, they went backwards. They had a four-play minus eight-yard drive that ultimately they had to settle for a field goal that made this game, you know, gave Denver 10 points in this. game. If it wasn't for that, they probably would have finished with just seven points from the onset, just based on the flow of it and all the mistakes that they made. But you have to come out here. I feel like the Broncos emphasis this week has to come out against Jacksonville and to run the football. Easier said than done, right? That is the object. Run the football. Well, how do you do it? I think it's trying to figure out what went wrong in terms of the scheme and the play calling. Now, when things aren't going well, it's easy to say it's the play caller's fault. I think it's the play caller's fault that there wasn't a rhythm in the run game. right but i think when you talk about the execution of trying to run what went wrong what did the
Starting point is 00:25:15 chiefs do well that made things difficult for the broncos to run the football or did they come out in a front specifically and this is something that Sean Peyton has also talked about quite a bit did they come out in a front that made it harder to run the types of things that they wanted to run from a run game standpoint if that's the case you're handing out the playbook to everybody in the league saying you know what just watch what the chiefs did come out in that specific front and the Broncos, they'll go away from the run. They'll throw the football. There are certain tendencies I think they still have to break.
Starting point is 00:25:46 And I think a lot of it is when the run game doesn't work. Like the first run gets two yards. It's all of a sudden it seems like there's this panic. There's this freeze moment where we can't run the football. We got two yards on our first carry. Okay, we can't run the football. We got to throw it now. And I understand the RPO's.
Starting point is 00:26:01 There is the ideal scenario where you can run it. But it's based on what the read is specifically defensively. For example, if you're trying to run it, RPO and you want to do an inside handoff. Well, you can do that if the guy that you're reading steps out to maybe cover. Like once again, you'll, you'll fake an inside handoff while one receiver is running a bubble screen. Now, if that guy commits over there, you might be able to run the football, right?
Starting point is 00:26:24 You might be able to hand it off. But Denver, they were a little vanilla. And I'm very, very curious, once we get a chance here today to go back and watch the All-22, which Broncos country, I'm going to do a film breakdown. The All-22 will be for all the Everydairs on the Every Dare's Club. You want to check it out. make sure you join the everyday air club lockdown broncos at supercast.com. We're going to take a look at some of the mistackle, some of the big plays from Kenneth Walker specifically.
Starting point is 00:26:47 And we're going to look at what went wrong, past protection wise, why the Broncos didn't run the football offensively against Kansas City. And I think that's going to give us a little bit of an idea how the Jacksonville Jaguar specifically, we'll try to attack this team here on Sunday. And the number one thing, and I'll say this about this Broncos team that has stood out. We witnessed this last year. They have the ability to move on quickly and not dwell on certain things. after you get punched in the mouth like this, you have to wonder what we are watching,
Starting point is 00:27:13 we're going to try to measure the response. What we are watching specifically is do they do that? Can they respond after such a letdown, after such a disappointing performance, a slow start, a start that was played by penalties that put them behind the sticks far too often offensively? These are the things that Jacksonville is going to come in
Starting point is 00:27:32 and they're going to try to test. They got good receivers. They got a nice young second year runner in Tutin, obviously. They did make sure. some changes. They obviously lost Devin Lloyd at the linebacker position. They let Travis A. Chan go in free agency. He went to the New Orleans Saints. But does that matter? Trevor Lawrence is slinging the heck out of the football. So what is the Broncos planning? The thing that Trevor Lawrence also brings to the table that hurt them last year, his mobility. He can maneuver the pocket. He can extend
Starting point is 00:27:58 plays outside the pocket. He can tuck it and run. And I guarantee you, no offense to Patrick Mahomes. He's going to be in a little bit more athletic shape or he's going to be a better suited runner. right now than Patrick Mahomes was here on Monday night football. So what are the Jaguars going to look at when they're scouting and they're watching this film specifically and what are they going to carry over? And the same has to apply to Denver. They have to understand what is Jackson going to try to do with us and what is our counter to that.
Starting point is 00:28:22 The response is everything. And we'll see what that response is here. But Broncos Country, thanks for Rock with us here on Tuesday. Unfortunately, not a good start to the season here. Broncos 0 and 1, a very sluggish, very brutal, very bad, not so good debut to the season. There are 16 games left. Game one doesn't define how the rest of the season is going to go, but how this team responds will tell us a lot about this team going forward.
Starting point is 00:28:47 With that said, we'll see it tomorrow for a brand new episode. Locked on Broncos, it is Jaguars week. Got to flush it. Move on to the next one. And we'll see if the Broncos can notch things up at one-in-one going into week two.
