Starting point is 00:00:00 The Milwaukee Brewers busted out their brooms and swept the way the Cardinals like yesterday's trash, despite having seven no hit innings thrown against them. How do they keep doing it? We'll get to the bottom of that and more on today's Locked on Cardinals, Locked on Brewers crossover. You are a locked on MLB crossover, part of the Locked on podcast network. Your team every day. Hey there, baseball fans. I'm J.D. Hafer and host of Locked on Cardinals. Joining me is the legendary Chuck Freeman from Locked on Brewers. We got a lot to talk about today, boys and girls on today's show. We'll get into what I call crotch chop gate. Chuck, that's what I'm calling it now because anytime there's any sort of controversy, you got to put the word gate after it. So that's what we're doing. It's the crotch chop herd around the world. And we're going to get into what caused it in the first place because we've got a lot of new information that came about. on Wednesday to explain what went down. We want to talk about where do these two teams go from here.
Starting point is 00:01:07 But let's begin with Wednesday's afternoon tilt in Milwaukee, where the Brewers pull off another late inning victory, despite getting no hit for seven innings by Cardinals starter, Dustin May. Pitching was a key component to everything in this series, every single game. It was all about pitching. You saw both Jacob Mizorowski and Kyle Harrison dominate in games one and two, which go to the Brewers.
Starting point is 00:01:29 But then on Wednesday, the Cardinals final. put a worthy opponent on the mound to counter the brew crew in Dustin May, who had his best game in a cardinal uniform. The only two hitters to reach base against May in the first seven innings was Jake Bowers, who got hit by a pitch in the toe in the second inning, and then Sal Freelik, who reached on catcher's interference in the third inning. And that was it. May was unbelievable, had retired 12 consecutive batters, had only thrown 82 pitches in the game when he took the mound in the eighth inning with the no-no and a shot at history. But more importantly, a chance to win a game for the Cardinals who would drop three in a row
Starting point is 00:02:07 coming into this one. Now, be honest, Chuck, were you nervous at all going into that eighth inning when you saw that zero in the hit column for Milwaukee still? No, and I'll be honest with you. What I do is I'll listen to the visiting teams broadcast to see, just hear what they're saying about the game. I don't get for all the teams. And I put on John Rooney
Starting point is 00:02:29 and I forget this part of Ricky Horton, is it? Yep. Yeah, John, and I was listening to those guys. You wouldn't have not have been able to tell that there was a no hitter going on listening to those guys. Those guys had said nothing about it. I mean, they said nothing about it.
Starting point is 00:02:48 Here in Milwaukee, we're trying to jinks the heck out of it. But those guys, old school, nothing about it. So you wouldn't even know if you tuned in, to a Cardinal broadcast that the Cardinals had of no hit thing going on. But with the Brewers, I just never can, you never say never with these guys in the regular season. That's why qualify things now. In the regular season, you never say never because, which has weird, stupid things bouncing their favor. And I was even messaging you.
Starting point is 00:03:23 I said, you know, you were talking back and forth about, you know, the Brewers, why are they winning all these kids? games. That was a classic example. Take advantage of the Cardinals couldn't feel the butt. First of all, they get the double to start the inning, and then they can't feel the bunt first and third, and it looks like the Cardinals are going to get out of the inning, and Yelich has the base hit, and then the air by win, and that's it right there. May, who took a no-hitter into the eighth inning, takes the loss. As I said, the Cardo broadcast, a couple of times he deserved better faith than that. So yeah it didn't surprise me at all because nothing ever surprises me at the Milwaukee Brewers and since Pat Murphy's taken over. Yeah, yeah. And that was the most
Starting point is 00:04:08 brewers possible way to go about coming back and winning that game just exactly how you described it. You know, it's it's the little things. It's little things that the brewers always take advantage of and you know, not being able to, I guess May had a brain fart and didn't cover the third baseline on the bun because it was supposed to be a sacrifice bun. It wasn't a drag bun or anything. He was just trying to move the runner over to third base like a good ball player would do and May didn't go over to the third baseline. Gorman, who's playing at third base, goes to cover third base on the bun. So that was the setup that they had and just left the third base line open. So infield hit is what it ends up turning out to be. And then, you know,
Starting point is 00:04:50 like you mentioned, they get it to two outs where Yelich comes through with the with the, with the a clutch single and then the air on your gold glover of all people. You know, if there was one person on the infield, the Cardinals wanted them to hit the ball to it's gold Glover, Mason Wend, who had made some really nice plays early in that game to keep it as a no hitter. And then the routine grounder up the middle off the bat of Churio, he biffs it. He baffles it and the go-ahead run scores. So unbelievable stuff.
Starting point is 00:05:20 And, you know, this is nothing new for the Brewers. As you mentioned, Chuck, for whatever reason, other teams can, consistently seem to make bonehead mistakes or errors. And the brewers, being who they are, they capitalize on them more than any team I've ever seen. And that's like one of their superpowers, isn't it, to take advantage of somebody else's mistakes. Oh, it is. But if there's one team, you could no hit in baseball, it's the Milwaukee Brewers. Now, you have to think that, and really, because the brewers can go through these just dreadful stretches, just dreadful stretches. I can't tell you how many times I've seen them either up one nothing.
Starting point is 00:05:55 or down 1-0, heading into the late innings. But did you think that this was going to be Mays Day? I, you know, I find it hard to believe people would no hit the, you know, as hard as it is, that they'd be able to hit the, no hit the Brewers. I could see why maybe one or two hits like a, like another, they only got three hits in the game. But you guys put the ball in play so much, which was something the Cardal's pitching staff, actually, they had a decent amount of strikeouts against the Brewers in this series. You know, Libby had 10 in that first game.
Starting point is 00:06:24 There was nine against them in this. one. So it's not like the Cardinals weren't missing some bats, but I don't know. The brewers just seem to find a way. It's something they've been really good on. But the point being, they've been able to do this consistently in the regular season. And then, you know, you get to the postseason and things go a little differently for them. Touch on Chad Patrick's start real quick, because coming into this game, we heard, you know, bullpen game. You never know how many innings each guy is going to go or whatever. But Chad Patrick looked really, really good for you guys. and lasted what goes into the fourth, fifth inning in this one.
Starting point is 00:06:58 Yeah, you know, the Brewers were just trying to piece this thing together, and they did. Got a solid start out of Patrick, but coming out of the bullpen, the last couple of outings for him, but he made a start. And, of course, the Brewers have this way of keeping you suspended. You know, we asked Murphy after the game on Tuesday night, you know, who's pitching on Wednesday, and, you know, he goes, TBA or TBD,
Starting point is 00:07:21 you know, one of those two guys, TBA or TBD is going to pitch. he kind of read things they think, ah, it looks like Chad Patrick's going to pitch here, and he did. And yeah, he pitched, well, this has been the strength of the Brewers so far this year, getting strong starts out of these guys, whether it's a four-inning spot start or seven strong like he did out of Mizorowski on Monday night. So that's been carrying their way. Offensively, their lineup, I don't mean the bad mouth them,
Starting point is 00:07:49 their lineup is terrible. I mean, it's just, I don't know how they're winning games, but somehow they're finding away with not a lot of punch, their lasting league at home runs. Yet they just, I feel like there's always this feeling in Milwaukee after the Dodgers took two over the Memorial Day weekend that, oh, no, here comes. Here comes this long stretch. They seem to always pull themselves out of it and bounce back and lose two,
Starting point is 00:08:18 but then win the next six. Yeah, and they got the Cardinals at a good time because the Cardinals, offense has really been in a rut lately. Oferton with runners and scoring position in this game, strand seven on base, and then you get your heart ripped out at the end there. They did not have a hit with runners and scoring position in the whole series, Chuck,
Starting point is 00:08:38 all series, didn't have one, which dropped their average this season with runners and scoring position to 222, which is the lowest mark in the National League. Really tough to win that way. Two for 32 in those situations in losing the last four games on the road trip. So not very good, but you got to give credit, again, to what the Brewers put out there. Miz looked unhittable.
Starting point is 00:08:58 Harrison looks like a completely different dude now that he's in Milwaukee compared to how he was in San Francisco and with Boston, although he was in the minor leagues a lot with those guys. You got Aaron Ashby, who now leads the major leagues and wins with nine coming out of the ball. And since you got Churio back, which happened when we met up with our two teams in St. Louis, you guys have been right back into that groove that you guys were in last year where you went on to lead the league and win. So Brewer's sweet, but maybe not the biggest story of the series was the fact that the brewers took all three games.
Starting point is 00:09:33 A lot of talk about the Abner Uribe Crosch Chop. Why did he do it? Did the Cardinals manager instigate it? Drama galore. Who was right? Who was wrong? Chuck and I will debate that coming up next on this locked on Cardinals, locked on Brewers crossover.
Starting point is 00:09:49 The NHL playoffs are here. Now, every shift matters when it comes to the NHL playoffs. Every moment is intense and the pressure is at its highest. You know, my St. Louis Blues did not make it into the playoffs this year. But watching these other teams play, I mean, seeing the Vegas goal, the Mets do what they just did against the Colorado Avalanche who had the most wins in the NHL this year, super impressive. And that's how it is in the NHL playoffs, man.
Starting point is 00:10:23 It gets crazy. and even the best of the best fall victim to teams who just play playoff hockey even better. Jady Hafer from Lockedon Cardinals, Chuck Freeman, from Locked on Brewers. Let's get into this Abner, your rebase situation, Chuck, which took place,
Starting point is 00:12:00 during game two after he struck out, Alec Berliss and he does the DX style crotch chop, which personally I found hilarious. I really did. I thought it was amusing. I didn't have a problem with it except for the fact that he purposely turned and did it right at the Cardinals dugout. Was obviously done with some reasoning behind it.
Starting point is 00:12:25 You know, when it comes to like personality stuff in the game right now, you know the bat flips, the home run props. A lot of people think that stuff is stupid and silly, but it still is a game and games are supposed to be fun, boys being boys. But there is a line of respect. And apparently that line was crossed in the eyes of a lot of people, not just the Cardinals, but also members of the Brewers organization. You know, your manager, Pat Murphy even said after the game that, you know, he didn't like it. He called the gesture unacceptable, said he was embarrassed by it. For our video guys, I got a quick giff of what it looked like.
Starting point is 00:13:00 when this went down. So you guys can check that out as there it goes, chop, chop. Okay, there he is. One more time too. Yeah, yeah. And, you know, after the game, you know, he made his apologies to everyone, but the Cardinals, through his interpreter, he said, you know, I didn't think it was professional for their manager, talking about the Cardinals manager, Ali Marmal, to be making signs toward our dugout saying he's going to be hitting guys and mentioned Yelly and Contreras's names specifically. And that's what apparently prompted his reaction after the strike got, which left a lot of us baffled, at least for me. I don't know if you were, because I hadn't heard about any issues or anything like this.
Starting point is 00:13:42 And I questioned whether Uribe was just making stuff up to make himself not look so bad. Then we find out on Wednesday that there was indeed more to this story. And there was video evidence of what Uribe was talking about with Ali pointing at his ribs during a Christian yellow chip bat. Jeff Jones, who reports for the Belleville News Democrat in St. Louis said that Marmel on Wednesday said that the brewers were in his view, relaying signs to obviously from the dugout in the first game of the series. He gestured to them to be smart and pointed to his ribs, said that they were going to get somebody hurt. Now, from what I gathered, he would pointing at his head saying be smart. And then he pointed
Starting point is 00:14:24 as the ribs because they're going to get somebody hurt. He did it as a war. not instruction according to Jeff Jones. That resulted in a conversation, confrontation type of deal with the Brewers coach who Marmel at the time declined to name and then a conversation with that same staffer post game to try to smooth things over and said he hadn't talked to Brewer's manager, Pat Murphy. Later, it was reported and confirmed that it was hitting coach Daniel Vogelbach
Starting point is 00:14:50 that he confronted Marmel about those gestures as well as his habit of staring into the opposing dugout for long stretches after in Monday's game. And one player said while the brewers took batting practice on Tuesday afternoon, I guess Ali's got a staring problem now. Both normal and Vogelbach exchanged words loudly enough that it temporarily paused the activity on the field during batting practice, according to one player and one coach. Vogelbach after the game said that, you know,
Starting point is 00:15:19 we're not relaying signs from the dugout. It's as simple as that. According to Jones, Ali characterized the exchange as a typical. typical exchange between teams and a series said it spilled over publicly because of what Abner Uribe did, which drew more attention to it. And Ali said, I don't think there's a reason for any of it to be quite honest with you. So my first thing here is I want to apologize for doubting Abner Uribe because after his media
Starting point is 00:15:48 scrum on Tuesday night, I was like, what is this dude talking about? We have no idea. Why would Ali do something like that? And it seems like it came out of nowhere. And then, you know, we find out that there was some truth to all of this. So apologies to your rebate for questioning his honesty. But Chuck, what were your thoughts on this whole situation? First, when you saw what your rebate did on the mound.
Starting point is 00:16:11 And then second, after you found out the whole story, what is your take away from this whole thing? I feel like I'm back in high school again. All this drama that's going on, right? I mean, come on. We're talking to professional teams here. and Jady as you detailed all that I'm like who knows if any of that is really true he said this she said this they did this we're stealing the signs well the ribs now I saw ollie point to his ribs I saw the video on that yeah we haven't got clear for what was he doing there apparently he was
Starting point is 00:16:44 that was his uh his warning saying hey be smart you know if you're relaying signs and don't get anybody hurt why you would point at the I don't know you never really explained why they needed to be pointing at the ribs or anything, but nobody was thrown at. Nobody got hit except for in the third game when Bowers got hit on the toe by a breaking ball. So obviously there was a tent there. But there was no throwing by either side at anybody. So I don't exactly know why he did it that way.
Starting point is 00:17:12 And I'm sure he's second guessing doing that ever again. Yeah, I, yeah, because I was in the media scrum when we interviewed Uribe after the game. and he apologized and he apologized that everybody in the Milwaukee Brewer organization and his teammates and management and everybody and then we get a lot we go take the elevator to get the go over the press box and we're like wait a second he did not apologize to the cartels
Starting point is 00:17:38 he did not apologize to the cardinals but you know who you know he something happened he said in the interview and obviously we found out the next day today or on Wednesday that it was the sign stealing allegations and all that. You know, these are division rivals. They're division rivals.
Starting point is 00:18:03 There's always been a little bit of blood, bad blood, between the two franchises, right? And there should be in a division, right? They should be that way. And back to the Larucidae days, right? I remember this, 2011, you can even go back and remember this, that, you know, there was some question whether or not the brewers were throwing at one of their hitters, and they threw it brawn, and this is Larusa. Now, if Larissa was involved, I don't know Marble as much as I've seen what Larusa's done
Starting point is 00:18:34 from all the way back to his days with the White Sox. So, but with Ali, I don't know. Who knows of all that? But apparently, you know, Yelage on Wednesday said before the game that everything was good between the two, teams. There was not going to be any ultimatations because we came to the ballpark Wednesday thinking, okay, this is game on today.
Starting point is 00:18:58 And then, yeah, he said that, and there wasn't, and there was no, there wasn't any of that. So I think everything is, is good. I do know that these two teams don't like each other. For whatever reason, whether it's division rivals, JD,
Starting point is 00:19:14 or whatever, these two franchises, these two, the players for whatever reason, they don't there's they both rub each other the wrong way for whatever it is. I don't know. I think part of that is the Cardinals had been at the top of the mountain for so long. And now it's they're not. And it's the Brewers who are at the top.
Starting point is 00:19:34 And they continue to kick the Cardinals back down the hill when they see them. So I think part of that is just frustration with not being able to take care of business and beat, beat the Brewers. They're just a better team right now. And I'm glad you brought up Larusa because quickly I wanted to get your thoughts on this. because some Cardinal fans are calling Ali a coward for not having somebody do anything in retaliation for what your Reba did. Do you think the Cardinal showed a lack of spine in this case, or do you think it was smart to take the high road and just move on from it? It's funny because I talked to a couple of different guys who cover Major League Baseball, including a couple who covered the Milwaukee Brewers, after the game last night.
Starting point is 00:20:16 And they were like, you know, it just doesn't happen anymore, this retaliation. It doesn't happen. If it does happen, it wasn't like maybe it was during the LaRusa years. Okay. I'm not just saying to him, but I'm saying when he was the manager in that era. Yeah. So I guess, you know, when I talked to these guys last night and I was like, yeah, you know, you're right. Because there's been times with other teams when we, there were.
Starting point is 00:20:46 a little bit of tension that, okay, something's going to happen tomorrow, and it didn't happen. Or in the past, something might have happened. So maybe they don't, I don't know, do you notice that? I didn't even really think about it, that you don't see as much retaliation in this back and forth thing anymore. Yeah. And I think some of it, too, is that, you know, there are no pitchers hitting anymore. So it's only, you know, the pitcher never has to answer for anything they've done.
Starting point is 00:21:12 So maybe that's kind of brushed things aside. And I think people are more worried about injuries nowadays, too, where it just isn't, there just isn't that the Bob Gibson years, the Roger Clemens is, you know, they would brush people off the plate regularly. Nolan Ryan, you know the names, these guys that used to do that for years. Like, this is my half of the plate. You hang over it. You're going to get, you're going to get hurt. And it just, it feels like pitchers would rather not throw inside in those situations and throw away and throw sweepers away and stuff. and that's just the way it is nowadays, which I don't know, good or bad.
Starting point is 00:21:48 You guys let us know in the comments section down below. But for me personally, it wasn't like the brewers were hitting guys on the Cardinal. So I don't think that that's not a one for one by going out and hitting somebody because the other guy did a crotch chop after a strikeout. I don't feel like that's that fits the crime. So I wasn't upset about the fact that they didn't hit anybody. Well, then we were like this. Okay. All right.
Starting point is 00:22:13 Just put your rebate leading off on Wednesday in the D&D. Just serve it. Just hand them over to the wolves and let them get them on. Let them take what will let them wear one, get them out of there, and then we'll be done with it, right? Well, the best way to do that is just to beat them on the field and Cardinals weren't able to do it. Your rebate didn't have to see the field of us.
Starting point is 00:22:35 They got their armor on and everything. And, you know, just okay, it's coming, you know. Get ready, buddy. Turn your back. Coming up next, we're going to discuss where these two teams are going from here. So that's coming up. That's on deck for each team. And we're going to say something nice about each other's teams.
Starting point is 00:22:54 A takeaway from either side about the other team that's coming up next on this Cardinals, Locked on Brewers crossover. Thanks for making Locked on Cardinals and Locked on Brewers. Your first listener of the day. Thank you for making Lockdown on the number one sports podcast network. Chuck Freeman from Locked on Brewers, JD Hatford from Locked on Cardinals. So the Cardinals got swept. So I think it's only fair that I have to say something nice about the Brewers first as punishment.
Starting point is 00:23:27 And my compliment is going to be. And it's something that Chuck, we've been talking about these two teams for a couple of years together now. And it's something that the Brewers continue to do. When I see Brewers, I think tenacity. Nothing is easy against them. And any time another team makes a mistake, the Brewers just pounce on it and make them pay.
Starting point is 00:23:47 And every time in this series, that the Cardinals would make any sort of mistake, like especially the first game. They get the pickoff, but they can't get the runner out. And that unravels and that leads to a three to nothing lead from Milwaukee in the first inning. Not as much mistakes made in the second game,
Starting point is 00:24:06 but then, you know, in this third game, they don't field the bun. That sets up first and third. Now you're in a pickle. And it gets worse. Then the error. And boom, Brewers are winning a ball game.
Starting point is 00:24:18 So, you know, one mishandle button this game turned into two runs, scoring to win it. So it's just really impressive from the other side to watch just how the brewers continue to do it. Every time they see a hole and wham, they take advantage of it. It's incredible to me that they have not found the same success in the postseason. Like it still shocks me that this type of baseball, which I think is great, doesn't win in the postseason or just hasn't been able to. through the last few years. So that is my nice thing about the brewers. Do you have anything nice to say about the Cardinals? Oh, yeah. And I told you this at the beginning of the season, and I've said this in my podcast a few times. I said, don't think this is a rebuilding year for
Starting point is 00:25:00 the St. Louis Cardinals. If there's a couple of franchises in sports where I would never look at them and say, well, yeah, you can forget about them this year. I would never say that about the St. Louis Cardinals. Even last year, you know, you guys gave people fits. Yeah, you might be in a rebuilding mode and you know going young and you traded some of your veterans but that organization i don't take anything for granted i had a fan message me uh before the series we played you guys a couple of weeks ago in st louis said all the brewer should go in there and sweep st louis i'm like oh don't ever think that way about any team especially that franchise now you guys are you guys are eventually going to get it together you guys have your way you're in second
Starting point is 00:25:43 place you're having a good year yeah yeah bad days here i wouldn't let that discourage you i'm cheering for you guys this weekend against the cubs i'm hoping you guys can come back and not only help out the breweries there because i do worry about the cubs i think we both do we have we have a common hatred we both hate the cubs i don't hate the cardinals i'm i think you guys got great fans i've been down there for games over the years i've been jealous when i was down to 2011 for that playoff series i'm like man these fans love their baseball How can you dislike Cardinal fans, man? They love and appreciate their team.
Starting point is 00:26:18 I think you guys, your franchise, there's a reason why your team is, your franchise has been so successful. I just hope the rebuilding doesn't happen because, you know, I don't want to be all the time. No, I think you guys are on the right path, but I never look at you guys going down to 95 losses, something like that.
Starting point is 00:26:37 That's true. Chuck will tell me this even in private conversations that he's like, man, I'm not. And honestly, our other locked on hosts in the NL Central are the same way. They're kind of like, you know, they're all a little upset that the Cardinals aren't struggling more this year in this rebuild year. They're like, what the heck, man? You guys aren't supposed to be good. And so far they've been able to put a pretty good product on the field.
Starting point is 00:27:01 And like you said, they're headed in the right direction. But I think one of the things about this series and the way they've been playing recently is it. It's just a reminder that they are the youngest team in. baseball right now. And there's still a lot of work to be done. And you know, these guys are still growing as players. We're finally seeing Jordan Walker, uh, reach the capabilities that we thought he could. J.G. Weatherholt is still a rookie. There's going to be struggles here. This pitching staff was not built to be a playoff type of pitching staff. It's a few young guys in there. Dustin May was a guy that was grabbed off the, uh, you know, scrap pile that Boston didn't want him anymore. And it,
Starting point is 00:27:39 and he's turned out to be a solid addition, but it's not a team that's supposed to be built. Like all of this that has happened for St. Louis so far this year was very much unexpected by everybody involved, including Cardl's fans, including the organization. So I know Cardinals fans like at this moment are a little frustrated because they aren't playing as good. It's because they've been so good, like surprisingly good so far this year,
Starting point is 00:28:02 where we're like, okay, maybe we should be good. And it's like, hold on a second, you know, pump the brakes a little bit. and you go to Milwaukee and you see a team that's been as good as Milwaukee for the last few years, kind of teach them a lesson in this three-game series. So hopefully they'll take something from this and use it to grow moving forward. Like you mentioned, up next for the Cardinals, they're at home. They go home to lick their wounds from this rough one-and-four road trip against Pittsburgh and Milwaukee, or the Reds in Milwaukee as well is what I meant to say.
Starting point is 00:28:31 Pittsburgh was before that at Bush Stadium. But one-and-four trip against the Reds and Milwaukee. got the Cubs in this weekend. Cubs had lost 10 in a row. They finally won and beat Pittsburgh on Wednesday. But you got two teams that aren't playing the best going head to head at Bush Stadium over the weekend. What's on deck for the Brewers after this series? Day off on Thursday, heading to Houston for a quick three games. Then they come back home and start another homestand.
Starting point is 00:28:57 They got four straight with San Francisco next week. And Willie Adomas returns back to Milwaukee. So that should be fun. the Giants not playing some good ball. They're probably going to be sellers at the break. And, you know, hopefully the Brewers just can keep it going this weekend against Houston who took three straight for the Cubs last weekend. Yeah, they were part of that.
Starting point is 00:29:17 Cubs losing skid. The Cust, Houston went in the Wrigley and won three in a row. But, yeah. Yeah. And coming off that no hitter the other night. That's right. That's right. No, with three guys with the no hitter.
Starting point is 00:29:31 But, you know, the Cardinals, the fans. there was some go cardinal go chance late that game when when may was on the hill dealing out there there was some go cardinal goals chance cardos could never scratch across any more couldn't pad that lead at all i think that was one of the problems but you know we're going to play again this year right we're going to play a bunch this year there we still got plenty of time to see each other and uh we look forward to it because uh on the cardinal side of things you know playing a team like Milwaukee that's been as good and consistent as they have been. You know, this is a litmus test for them to see how they match up.
Starting point is 00:30:09 And it's a good way for, as I mentioned, these young players to learn a little something on how the game can be played by a team that knows what it takes to win consistently. So that's something you can definitely take away from as a Cardinals fan. Yeah, didn't go the way you wanted to. But, you know, they battle. They got to figure out something offensively right now. they've just been in a really bad rut. But again, Ms. and Harrison, they're shutting everybody down.
Starting point is 00:30:36 So there's no shame in the fact that they did what they did because nobody's hitting those guys so far this year, at least in the month of May. It's been incredible to see their numbers. And the brewers just keep on rolling. So as we all say on the outside, the brewers just keep on brewing, man. They're doing it again this year. So best of luck to you guys, Chuck, in your next series. Cardinals, we got the Cubs coming into 10.
Starting point is 00:30:59 I'm sure that that won't be an angry mob. It's at Bush Stadium over the weekend between those two fan bases. I suspect there will be a lot of dudes with their shirts off, waving, waving t-shirts and towels, Chuck. That was happening here. Tarps off, man. This was a big week for that. This past weekend against the Dodgers and, of course,
Starting point is 00:31:20 they got really loud against the Cubs. But you guys started to tarps off. It's sort of original. I think it picked up some speed because of what happened with the Cardinals. So it'll be good to get back home in front of those guys and the fans at Bush Stadium. So we'll wrap things up here.
