The Indianapolis Colts close out 2026 training camp with yet another joint practice against Atlanta Falcons.
Did they win the day? Let's get to it.

On today's show, we're diving into the final day of Colts training camp here in 2026.
We are that much closer to the regular season, everybody.
The Colts have wrapped up training camp with their second joint practice against the Atlanta Falcons.
The Falcons came out to Indy, and our guy, Jake Arthur, was our boots on the ground for the entire thing.
Now, unfortunately, with the way the practice was set up, he wasn't able to have himself in two different places.
So we couldn't watch both offense and defense on both.
days. He had to kind of split his time. So on yesterday, if you guys watched that post-practice show,
Jake did talk all about the offense and what he saw from the offense. He did get a little bit about
the offense today, or I guess on yesterday's practice, but today's show, he got to look at a little
bit of the offense in the two-minute drill at the end of practice. So we'll talk about that two-minute
situation, talk about the quarterbacks, the main storylines, and then we'll go into the defense
and what Jake saw by watching the defense for all of practice. So a little different than our typical
tune up here, but we're going to give you the coverage nonetheless.
Starting out with the main stories, though, DJ Giddens kind of return to practice for
the Colts today.
He had a hamstring injury that he's been dealing with for most of training camp.
He didn't do everything, but he's back in pads.
He's back on the field.
Maybe we see him on Saturday.
I don't think we will, but I doubt it.
I'd be shocked if we saw him on Saturday, but he's getting closer and closer, and hopefully
he can push himself to getting onto the roster right now.
because when you're kind of in a roster battle and you're not practicing,
that's not the greatest sign for a young player.
For players who are still out of practice, though,
Alec Pierce is still on that pupless with ankle.
He officially missed every single training camp practice.
Shane Seichen did say after practice, I think it was yesterday, Jake,
that he said he's closer, like closer than not, basically.
He's like, we'll be back sooner than later.
He's doing individual work in the facility, running around with pads on,
doing a lot of things you want to see.
So I would expect him to be back.
either like next week or the week after.
But again, we thought he'd be back like a week or two ago.
So we will see when it comes to Alec Pierce.
Tyler Warren missed practice.
He will be out for like another week with a groin injury.
The Colts have said that's very precautionary.
And he'll certainly be back by week one.
So no concern there.
Anthony Gould has missed the last four practices with a groin injury.
Also missed the first preseason game as well.
So we'll see if he gets any run this preseason with him also kind of in a roster battle.
Mooney Ward is out with a back injury.
He's missed the last five practices, and I did hear that he was back at practice yesterday,
but still just not practicing.
So he's with the team again.
We'll see if this impacts his week one status, still like 20 days until the first game.
So still some time to recover there.
A big concern for me, though, is Luke Tanuda's knee injuries.
He's missed the last four practices, left the first preseason game a little bit early.
That was my potential swing tackle for this team, so that's certainly a bit concerning there.
Nolan Rucci is still out with a lower leg injury, didn't play in the first preseason game,
and he's missed every practice since.
Ulysses Bentley the fourth, left early with an ankle injury.
That's our boy, Jake.
We can have him go down too.
So the Colts are looking a little shorthanded, still at offensive tackle and a running back right now on the roster.
But with all the doom and gloom out there with all the injuries now, just out of the way,
Jake, go into what you saw from the offense.
Again, I know you didn't get to see the entirety of the offense, but you got to see the final two-minute drill
where it was backed up on like their own 25 with a minute left,
get a field goal to win.
And it looks like the first and second team both got that field goal down
and won those situations.
So what did you see from both the first team with Daniel Jones
and the second team with Anthony Richardson?
Yeah, had I known that Keenan Allen was actually going to do 11 on 11th,
I maybe would have watched more offense.
But that wasn't the original plan.
But I guess he told Shane Stike and before practice he wanted to give it a go.
So they did give him about, I think, 14 reps.
Shane said during 11 on 11s.
But in that final, like, two-minute drill that we watched,
really great results for the Colts.
Both first and second-team offenses scored game-winning field goals.
And then both first and second-team defenses shut the Falcons offense down.
So starting with the Colts offense, it was Daniel Jones going with the ones.
Most of this was done with a huge defensive pass in her parents' call.
But he found Josh Downs for a short completion.
and then he got pressured quite heavily on the next play and just kind of grounded the ball through it low for an incompletion.
And then in the worst possible scenario, just about Matt Gonzalez false started,
which is not the first time that he's done that recently, backing them up five extra yards when you're in a late game situation.
I'm sure that Tony Sparano Jr. was just absolutely internally just fuming.
as we know he reacted to Jalen Travis a couple weeks ago when you were in town.
So then Jones took a shot.
He went deep on a post route about 40 or so yards downfielded Josh Downs.
And the defenders were just totally mugging him,
like not allowing him to even continue his on his path to the ball at all,
like clear defensive pass interference.
So in a late game situation like that to get a bonus for,
a yard play on a penalty, pretty huge.
That immediately put them into field goal position.
Spencer Schrader was the one kicking the field goals.
And then he promptly nailed a 48-yarder with time expiring to win the game.
And then we fast forward to the second team.
It was Anthony Richardson getting the run.
I'm going to go ahead and imagine Riley probably got the bulk of the work since he's going
to be starting on Saturday.
but it was Anthony getting the run with the twos during this late game situation.
He went four or five on that drive, 80%.
He had a couple completions to Dionne Burks.
Burks got a pretty productive drag route on one of those plays.
A nice little first down or a throw for a first down to Nick Westbrook, Akina on a jump ball.
And then our guy, Johnny on the spot, Coleman Owen, getting those little simple five-yard out routes to stop the clock.
had one of those as well.
Near disaster for the second team as well,
as Dalton Tucker reared his head again
and sent a snap to the moon.
Over the head of Anthony Richardson,
who has a 40-inch vertical,
Richardson was able to hurry up
and scoop the ball quick enough to grab it
and throw it out of bounds,
which killed the clock and also saved him
from just a devastating turnover.
They were already in decent range around that point,
They had a Seth McGowan run, and then with about three seconds left, they killed the clock with a spike, and then Schrader from 52 yards booted it in for another game-winning field goal.
So Daniel Jones and Anthony Richardson, both leading the offense game-winning field goals.
And after practice, Shane said that Anthony executed that two-minute drive perfectly.
Yeah, no, it sounds like it from taking what he was given, getting the ball out of bounds, even avoiding disaster there with the Dalton Tucker, because.
we've seen sometimes in the past with Anthony Richardson where there will be like a disaster moment
and he'll amplify the disaster.
I think back to that Chicago game back when, and was it, 2024 in like the red zone, he's rolling out of the pocket,
didn't have anything there rolling out to his left and he tried to force it in the back of the end zone
through that interception.
It's like things like that.
You always wanted to see more of growth from him.
So hearing that, hey, the ball went over his head, he picked it up, just got it out of bounds.
They rebounded, got back into field goal range and then their kicker made the kick.
Like that's what you want to see from your young quarterback.
So it seems like Richardson had a really good joint practice session,
not only yesterday, but just in totality.
Even if you factor in the Patriots too.
It sounds like Richardson and these joint practices rebounded a lot better from how he looked
throughout most of the training camp where a lot of you guys were saying,
he's taking a step back from last year.
It does seem like the joint practices.
And also the preseason game we can kind of go to as well.
We saw the best of Anthony Richardson again.
Yeah, really two strong weeks from Anthony.
You know, yesterday, I think, so all three quarterbacks on Wednesday completed all but three passes.
I think I had them at 28 of 31 completion.
So I think this was a really strong week from the quarterbacks.
And if you're Richardson, you love to see it.
I mean, because consistency has been the thing.
It's not like we've never seen good ball from him, but he'll follow up a really strong performance with one of the most perplexing games you've seen.
or practices that you've seen.
And so to string together a bunch of solid performances
against a different team, both in practice and a game,
I think that's pretty encouraging.
Yeah, absolutely.
Now, coming up, we're going to talk about the Colts defense,
where Jake was watching them for the most of practice.
So he's got so many news and notes from one-on-one, seven-on-sevons,
11-on-11s, and also that final two-minute session as well.
There's certain flavors that instantly feel like summer.
And for a lot of people, those classic red, wet, and blue,
freezer pops are right at the top of the list. Sweet cherry, lime, and blue raspberry. It's one of those
nostalgic summer flavors that everybody recognizes. Now, five-hour energy is bringing that flavor
combination into the new firework freeze five-hour energy shot, blending sweet cherry, zesty lime,
and electric blue raspberry into one refreshing shot inspired by those iconic summer freeze pops.
Most energy drinks kind of blur together and they all kind of taste the same at the end of the day
after a while. But this one stands out because it actually feels fun and familiar. The cherry,
lime and blue raspberry combo really tastes like summer. This actually really ties into the Colts because
out at training camp, bomb pops were like a big thing all summer. And there was one day where the bomb pop
ladies offered me one after practice and I obliged. And you know what? That really unlocked that
nostalgic flavor in me, which brings up, you know, finding that five hour energy had that same flavor
combination. I'm also big into just anything that keeps me awake during the day because I get up
very early. So being able to rely on five hour energy to bring a kind of a really good flavor
combination while also keeping me awake, I very much appreciated that. So ignite your taste buds with
the flavor of summer. Get a firework freeze five hour energy shot today. For more information,

practice of Colts training camp. It was the second of two joint practices with the Atlanta Falcons.

as well as Zach and myself. Just tap the link in the show notes or go to lockdownculton
colts.supercast.com today. All right. So Zach, let's go ahead and just we'll lead off with
the two-minute drill for what Atlanta's offense was able to produce against the Colts defense.
which was nothing.
By the way, if you guys saw that clip that the Colt Social put out
that had Tua running around just aimlessly
and ultimately just like throwing it right into Grover Stewart's chest,
that was during this.
So just full reference for what I'm about to get you into here.
So too, it wasn't, it didn't start all bad.
Kind of did his two a thing where he dinked and dunked his way
for I think like three or four completion.
look for Bijon Robinson, look for, you know, Drake London.
Oddly enough, to his deep ball, which used to be strong when he was throwing to Tyree Kill,
doesn't look the same anymore.
I will say that.
But so he got them down after Duncan is dunk,
Duncan and Duncan his way to about the midfield area.
He got heavy pressure when you're getting into like third and fourth down here.
The Colts really turned up the heat.
there was a play where Bijan went out into the right flat,
and Latu was out there kind of floating in coverage near the sideline,
guarding that area because they didn't want Bijan to get out of bounds.
And Tua just kind of airmailed it over Bejohn's grass,
which made it look like Latu had him locked down, of course.
That's what we would all expect.
Latu, an edge defender in coverage against arguably the best running back on Earth.
So good play by Latu there.
That's one of our best coverage defenders right there, Jake.
Don't downplay.
Dude, when we're talking about efficiency, is there a better player in coverage than Lato?
Right.
So then on fourth down, that's when Lou Anorumo sent the jailhouse blitz at Tua,
and he just was scrambling around looking anywhere but downfield, not knowing what was going on,
just panicked and threw it right into Grover's belly.
Turnover on downs.
And I think they blew it down.
as a sack by like nine different defenders on the play.
But that is not what you want to do if you're Atlanta's offense is turn it over on downs
on a sack in a final minute situation.
So very good work by the Colts defense on that.
Zach, do you know who quarterbacked the Falcon's second team?
You should be very familiar with this.
I would say I can see in the notes and he was easily the worst quarterback I saw last
year in joint practice for the Baltimore Ravens and that's Cooper Rush.
I mean, I am shocked he's still in the NFL at this point because last year's training camp,
I thought he was one of the worst quarterbacks I'd ever see.
All right.
So then you remember that the Ravens joint practices last year ended with Hunter Woller intercepting Cooper Rush.
Rob Carter Jr. does the same exact thing here.
So let's rewind to the start of this drive, though.
So it actually started out really well.
Rush found receiver Chris Blair for a drag route that Blair was able to turn the corner and gained a bunch of
a yardage up the left sideline, which kind of made it look a little dicey there at first.
He tried to go deep to a receiver again down the left side, but Jonathan Edwards wasn't looking,
but the ball did hit him in the back of the helmet, but a PbU is a PVU is that.
You don't need to track the ball if you're in perfect position.
It's perfectly fine.
That's exactly right.
It's fine.
So it hit Edwards in the back of the head, which was great.
So then the next play was ballgame.
rush through a short route to like the right side around the numbers.
Jonathan Owens from the Colts tipped it and then Rob Carter Jr.
was there to dive for it and hit the ground with the interception,
which ended the entire day.
It really was a good punctuation mark for a really good camp for Rob Carter,
but a good day overall because Carter ends the day for the entire Falcons.
But he also spoiled the one-on-one.
for them as well. Pitting the Colts corners against the Falcons receivers.
The coaches wanted to do one more rep of one-on-ones, and it was Carter against, I don't recall
which receiver it was, but one of their second or third team receivers. It was in the low red zone,
so it was like a fade route into the end zone, and Carter was there a great position.
I don't think he broke it up, but it was, you know, his position forced the receiver basically
out of bounds. And that play caused all the Falcons
receivers to drop down and do a bunch of pushups. So he killed their hopes after one-on-ones,
and he killed their hopes in the final two-minute drive. So a really good day from Rob Carter,
Jr. Now we need to go back to that prior to preseason or prior to the off-season video where
I hyped up Robert Carter Jr. for like the final minute of that entire show. That's all it was
for like one minute of the whole off-season. I got to take credit for it. But no, I'm glad Robert Carter
Jr. had a good off-season. Very athletic guy. I think he's a prime practice squad guy for like the
backup nickel roll, like third string nickel roll down there.
But it sounds like the defense had a pretty good two-day stretch against the Atlanta Falcons.
I really like how they finish there.
And yeah, I do think Cooper Rush's interception to Woller last year's training camp was
deflected by someone too.
I think a GK deflected it up last year and Woller came down with it.
Bad vibes for Cooper Rush.
Yeah, we'll see when he's on like the Panthers next year and they come to town and
we'll see the same thing, I guess.
But any other news and notes from the defense, Jake?
know you watch more than just the two-minute drills.
You watched all the one-on-ones, all sevens, all the 11s.
So any other big takeaways from the Colts defense in that stretch?
Yeah, I'll do some quick hits here just before we get into some of the bigger topic.
So I thought Latu, DeForest Buckner, Akeem Davis-Gather, and Arden Key provided some good
pressure throughout the day.
DeForest Buckner, we're going to have to ask on Saturday if he's fully back.
If he's not fully back, it's as close as he's been to fully back.
He participated a lot in 11-on-11.
this week. It's the most I've seen him
due to this point.
Let's see.
Jalen Jones had a nice little interception
in one-on-ones. He, I thought, had a nice
week as well.
All right, so let's go ahead and get to some of the bigger things here.
Sauce Gardner versus Drake London, I thought, was must-see TV.
It was a really good matchup.
Of course, Sauce Gardner was
amplified against AJ Brown and the Patriots won.
One bad rep is exactly what went viral,
you know, whatever.
But Drake London actually had a touchdown on Sauce in the very first one-on-one wrap.
It was a big jump ball in the end zone.
And London, I think I have underrated him.
That dude is unreal with the ball in the air.
Like, he is awesome.
For two straight days, I watched him do some really cool stuff.
But then they had two more reps against each other.
And Sauce broke both of those up or forced the incompletions on those.
I thought Justin Wally had an unbelievable pass breakup against London during actual team drills.
I think it was seven on sevens.
Michael Pennix floated a fade jump ball to London on the side of the end zone.
And he leaped up because he got a great vertical, high points it.
And as he's coming down, Wally gets his hand in there and just rakes it out for a big pass breakup,
which drew a huge reaction from his teammates in area.
Wallie's always been so good.
Like his ability to track the football even while it's in the receiver's hands.
Like on the play he got hurt last training camp, that's what he did against
Bateman with the, with the Rayman's where Bateman went up and high pointed it.
And then Wally came through and punched it through his hands and knocked it out on a deep out and up.
So he's just always been so good with that.
And it's my favorite trading corners is the ability to find the football.
Yeah.
So it's why I've always been so high on Justin Wally, I think, since the Colts drafted him.
Yeah.
All right. So let's, let me blend this into linebacker conversation real quick.
So we haven't talked much about them quite yet.
So Jalen Carlize, he's really coming on lately.
And I thought he had a great couple days against the Falcons.
He had a sack on one play.
I think, I think I had him with a sack late in practice.
But then he also had an interception off Pennix during seven on sevens.
Pennix, say what you want about him as like a quarterback overall.
But his, his arm talent is very.
evident. He threw a laser over the right side. And Carlize had to leap up and high point it and just,
you know, when you see a guy to snatch a ball that's like going at a high velocity and it's almost like
it takes their entire frame back. It was it was like that. Hit the ground running and kept,
kept going. A really impressive interception by him. So he had an interception. He had a sack. And he's just
been a lot more involved lately, like way more involved than we thought before the summer started.
Which brings me to a discussion about the starting linebackers in general.
I'm not 100% convinced right now that the starting linebackers aren't
Akeem Davis, Gather, and Jalen Carlis.
That's been very much a trend for like at least a week now.
So C.J. Allen has missed a handful of practices initially with the groin and then the hamstring.
I think it's been like four or five total.
If he was your starter, would you not want to get him as many reps as possible to kind of play
catch up, Zach?
Yeah, it just depends because the way that,
the way that Luana Rumo approaches this thing is he likes to just rotate guys as much
as possible.
So even if he were healthy, I still think there would be a rotation.
But it does seem like they're going to slow play it a little bit with C.J. Allen,
with the injury, for sure.
Not that he won't eventually be the starter,
but I'm not 100% convinced that week one he is going to be the first guy out there.
It definitely, it's been enough of a trend.
that we need to ask now at this point, because it's been a lot of Carlis and Davis Gather
for the last week or so. And they're performing well. So it's not like necessarily a bad thing.
It seems like the best guys are playing. But I don't think they're just going to dump a ton of
responsibility on C.J. Allen right off the bat. Yeah. And we'll talk about that more here in our final
segment as we get to our overall just notes from the two days of joint practice against Atlanta
Falcons. It seems like overall the Colts won the two practices. But it wasn't a complete domination.
but I think we'll lead off the final segment here, Jake, with that linebacker conversation
because that's certainly the most notable aspect that came from this week for the Colts.
All right, before the season even kicks off, now is the prime time.
Everybody is making predictions.
Who wins the division?
Who's making the playoffs?
Who's lifting the trophy at the end of the season?
On Calci, America's number one prediction market platform, you can trade those predictions in a
live market.
Will the Colts qualify for the playoffs this year for the first time since 2020?
Well, right now they're trading at 39%, meaning that $100 trade would pay out just under $250
if they clinch a playoff spot.
On Calci, if you're trading against peers in a live market, which means there's no house.
And as the probability changes, you could buy in and out of your position.
Just trade the draft pick, the game, and more on Cali.

practice of Colts Training Camp, which was the second of two joint practices against the Falcons.
We talked to offense. We talk defense. Now we're kind of talking about our main takeaways here.
We're going to lead off with kind of where we were before talking about linebackers.
So very evident that Lou Anirumo and James Betcher are rotating guys just to see who fits best in what situation, run downs, pass downs, down and distance.
Like they want to know who's best in every scenario because this is a multiple defense.
It's a very versatile defense.
So we've seen pretty much everyone get first team reps at a certain point.
but you can kind of tell trends based on who goes out there first
and who gets the most first team reps overall,
even though they're not going to be out there the entire time.
But it's been very much the two veterans with Gather and Carly's lately.
CJ Allen and Bryce Betcher have teamed up as the second team guys after that,
but we've also seen a lot of Austin and GKs out.
Yeah, I think those are your five guys who are certainly making the roster
and they're going to play day one for this team.
It just depends on how many snaps.
is going to be, like, I wouldn't be shocked if, like, week one comes along, and Davis
Gether is getting, like, 80% of the snaps, right?
Like, he's going to get the most snaps.
He's the veteran in the room.
Carlis is probably the second most snaps.
Then we probably see a good bit of C.J. Allen, and then Betcher will probably get out there
a little bit as well.
But I think they'll slow play this thing with Allen, with the injuries, and with, again,
it's always a learning curve with Luana Rumo's defense.
And Carlis and Akeem Davis Gath are the guys who not only have the most experience in this
defense, but are two of the longest tenured NFL players on this defense when it comes to the
linebacker position. So, yeah, I do think week one, these are probably the two starting linebackers,
but we will probably see a rotation. Like, CJ Allen will get run on the first team defense in
week one. It just probably won't be like a full capacity. It might be more of like a midseason thing
that we see Allen take over as a starter, which I think can make a lot of sense. You want to have
some of your veterans out there. I'm a little concerned about run defense with those two guys
at linebacker, but we will certainly see there. Other big takeaways, though, from this week
of joint practice, Jake, it seems like just overall, the Colts defense had a good week. Now, look,
I know they're going against Tua. Yeah, who they know how to defend. Right. I don't want to put
too much stock. It's not the same as like shutting down Josh Allen, but it does seem like Tua was having
a pretty rough two days of practice against the Colts. Like he did some things well, but overall
when it came down to it, like in the red zone, or when it came down to these two-minute drills,
he was under duress.
They threw a lot of interceptions.
Justin Wally had his pick six, and there were other interceptions in practice, too.
So it looks like we're seeing this Colts defense really starting to come together,
at least against the Falcons and these two joint practices.
Yeah, I remain impressed with the defensive backs.
You know, we've been waiting to see Soss Gardner tested with someone who wasn't LaQuain Treadwell
or Ashton Doolin, basically.
I thought he responded well.
I'm blown away by Justin Wally.
I'm very excited to see this guy on an actual game field.
And we just,
he made it through training camp this time.
We just got to pray he makes it to the regular season.
Because I think the cold's got a good one on this one.
And I mean, he's young.
He's going to be playing in the NFL for the first time.
But dare I say,
they've got someone better suited to play nickel in this defense this year
than they did last year.
Yeah.
So that could be.
a big bonus for them.
But going beyond the secondary,
I'm still skeptical about this pass rush.
I don't know that they can rush for and get home.
They've done very well generating pressure with blitzes.
Very good when they send linebackers or they send a safety.
But just rushing for it's not been good enough.
Yeah.
Well, I mean, it looks like Lou has been blitzing a lot more in these big situations
in practice, though.
From even the practices I was out there when they were doing
two-minute situations, it was bringing the house constantly. And we saw it, like you said,
in these joint practices as well. We're seeing it. We saw it in some of the preseason game as well.
So, I mean, when you have a good secondary behind them, maybe you can bring more blitzing.
Maybe he does fully turn into Brian Flores this year because I do think that there are similarities
between those two schemes. So maybe this is the year where Lou just says, you know what,
we're paying Mooney Ward $20 million a year. We're paying Sauce Gardner, you know, aggregate between the Colts and Jets,
$20 million per year. We have a top 100 pick safety. We have another safety. We're paying nearly
$20 million a year, too. Let's get, let these guys earn their money. And we're just going to bring some
pressure because we have seen the linebackers been really effective on blitzes this offseason.
Davis Gather with a lot of sacks, betcher with a lot of sacks for sure. So we have seen these
linebackers be really productive on blitzes. So yeah, maybe just bring the house all the time when it
comes down to it. Yeah. I mean, you you, you hate to rely on that, but like, if
that gets them through the season and it doesn't bite them, then it's whatever. But at the same
time, it's like, we called this. Like, hopefully the secondary stays healthy enough to give Lou the
freedom to feel like he can blitz. But it doesn't have to be that way. Like, I think the, the,
the thing is, you know, they think they can win with the committee at pass rush, right? And in 2023,
at work because those guys were all veterans but two of the key cogs here are rookies and
curry and gums and you've got key whose career high is six and a half sacks to a moloow who you're
praying does something but hasn't really been all that inspiring this summer and then you like
there's a lot on lot too but he hasn't even taken the step to be a 10 sack guy yet so there's just
so much they're hoping and praying for when it comes to the four man pass rush yeah and then really
quick before we get out of here. Daniel Jones finished up training camp, taking every single
first team rep throughout all of the training camp, had a really strong showing in, it appears every
joint practice as well. I mean, you watched him for most of them. You didn't watch offense yesterday,
but you had him as perfect on the day before. Again, it's the Patriots. He looked really good,
especially to end the practice. So, I mean, every single box checked for Daniel Jones this
offseason, right? Yeah. I mean, again, I feel like it's been said now.
nationally now by guys who've come to visit.
And then us, like, if you didn't know, he blew his Achilles last year, you wouldn't know now.
But he just hasn't looked that way.
Our main concern was like, we knew that 11 on 11s were coming for him early in camp.
But we were like, is his range and speed going to be good enough to, like, be in the right spots for Shane to feel like he can call bootlegs and stuff like that?
And it's like, yeah, like he looks perfectly fine.
dare I say as good or if not better than before.
So, I mean, fingers crossed, it stays that way.
But yeah, like the guy, you just can't tell.
Yeah, it's awesome to see.
Hopefully it leads to him getting off to a hot start again this year
and the Colts getting off to a hot start again.
Because they certainly need it.
If they can start hot against the tough part of their schedule early this year,
and then you get your teams like Cleveland and then down the stretch,
then you could be in a really good place going into potentially the postseason.
Yeah, like wins against Kansas City and Baltimore early, I think, will weigh quite heavily down the stretch where they can maybe afford, you know, a back boss or two down the stretch.
It's them so we have to be realistic.
But like getting those really heavily weighted wins early on would help.
Yep.
So a lot to be excited about here with the Colts.
We have preseason game here tomorrow, Saturday against the Atlanta Falcons.
We don't expect many starters to play in this game or even any guys who have been.
fighting through injury. Does Shane say anything about start? I'm assuming starters aren't playing.
Yeah, like, I think it'll be like last week where you'll, anyone who's like young and will be a starter
or a prominent player like AJ Halsey, I imagine, probably CJ Allen, like young guys who need reps will
probably play, but like Grover Stewart's not playing. You know what I mean? Those,
veteran starters won't play. Yeah, so by all accounts, what it seems like the plan is we're going to
see, we're going to see mostly backups tomorrow. Then they're going to go through the Detroit Lions week
like it's a regular game week.
And then I think we'll see some of the starters in that final preseason game.
I am very-
I'm very curious to see if Daniel Jones is out there for it.
I think they've already said Daniel ain't playing in the preseason.
Good.
Because I was like, look, I know he looks good, but let's not try this.
But we'll see what it looks like for the final game.
We'll probably see some more starters against the Detroit Lions here next Saturday.
But coming up tomorrow, we'll be talking probably C.J. Allen out there,
AJ Halsey and some other guys looking to make their much.
mark and potentially fight their way onto the team. So plenty of stuff coming your way and we'll be
