Hello everyone my name is Zach Hicks your resident film nerd and draft nerd as well
over at horseshoe huddle dot com.
Today I'm joined by my good friend my former colleague Destin Adams at the Destin Adams
on social media as you can find his work over at ATZ Sports covering the Indianapolis Colts.
Does some really great work over there.
And I want to start this by saying I love Jake to death.
Jake is my favorite co-host ever.
He's perfect.
But when it comes to draft stuff, I'll give him credit.
This year he's been great with getting into some draft stuff, but with running the horseshoe
huddle side of everything, it's tough for him to get deep in the draft.
So for his sake, for my sake as well
because brevity is great for when it comes to the show we end up focusing on a couple players every
single draft season with locked on and it's hard for us to get into the nitty gritty of players
you know maybe not even players outside the top 100 but even just other players within the top 100
because we're so rigid with how we have to run this show here. So today I brought on Destin,
who's a draft nerd like me, someone who's been getting into the weeds of everything in this
2025 draft. And we're going to go through some players who, again, maybe it's not necessarily
like day three guys, but just guys that we haven't really talked about on this show, or we haven't
talked about enough in this draft cycle who we think the Colts could be interested. So we're going to each give our we're just going
to go back and forth throughout this episode giving our pitch like our one minute pitch,
two minute pitch, whatever it is on some of these unheralded players. And Destin, you
have the floor here. We're going to start with some offensive players. So since you're
the guest, who is the first guy that you need to bring up that people just aren't talking
about enough and the Colts potentially like them.
So I'm going to start in the first round and then we'll just go throughout.
Just because you're talking about how we're only talking about a couple of guys.
I think that's probably the case for the first round.
If you're looking at a national mock draft right now in the first round and you
see the Colts taking anyone, but Tyler Warren or Jihad Campbell, I haven't seen it.
I'd love for you to send me that link if you have it.
But I'm going to say somebody that I think is not their usual type and why I think it's
underrated.
I'm going to go Tyler Booker out of Alabama, guard.
I know me and Zach have talked about this guy a lot.
He's one of my favorite players in the entire draft class.
He's a top 10 player on my big board.
He is not a fantastic athlete.
I think the first thing you're gonna get
when people hear me say this is, did you see his 40?
It was not a great 40, it wasn't.
He's a big dude.
But what I would stress about it is go look at how he operated
in the actual positional drills. You can see how much more comfortable he is moving in
that environment. There's a lot of questions on could he be an option to pull in the india
offense with how the Colts like to use guards. I understand he didn't test like it, but if
you watch his film this past year Alabama, he is not a guy that they were scared to get out in motion.
They weren't.
And I think the tape in 2024 with Booker was dominant enough that I really
think he is a guy that the Colts could look at as a day one starter at right guard.
That can just solidify the position. It wouldn't have to be a situation of grabbing a project on day two,
early day three to compete for the right guard spot.
And when you already have this competition with the quarterbacks going on,
I think having the chance to solidify the offensive line going into training camp
would be big and is an under sold
aspect that the Colts could look to do at 14. Yeah and the thing with Booker too
and just a couple notes to add to your point here is the Colts became this
really gap-run heavy offense in the last month of the season last year so that
plays well to Booker. Booker kind of gets pegged as like this dominant run blocker
but maybe not a great pass blocker
I heard that question at the combine for instance when it came to Booker
He allowed two sacks in three years at Alabama and was I mean if you even want to go by like PFF grade and stuff
He was like the number two pass blocking
lineman in this class, you know this past season he is a
Fantastic pass blocker fantastic run blocker one of the best overall players in this draft.
And also when it comes to the 40 time, he's 330 pounds. Of course, that's not going to
be a great 40 time. If it was, he'd be going top five, you know, in this class. So I'm
with you on Tyler Booker. He ended up falling a tad for me. So he fell just out of blue
chip prospect range for me because again, the testing isn't perfect and there are some
concerns with that, but the film is so dominant. My overall like favorite player in the draft
and he is a my guy in the indie draft guide so certainly one of my favorite players. I'm
going to go a little bit more down the board here out of the first round you know we talked
about mostly three tight ends in this draft. I'm going to throw out a fourth one here finally
a fourth tight end is entering the conversation that's a Ronday Gadsden tight end out of Syracuse. He's a guy who he's more
in that like Jelani Woods type mold where he's like a big receiver playing tight end.
He's not going to be this plus blocker, so I know he's not perfectly the fit for what
we've been talking about all offseason for the Colts, but he is a big physical pass catching
tight end, very athletic and did
a lot of good things in that Syracuse offense last year with Kyle McCord. I think he's a
player who he improves your passing game so much more. And look, if you're going to have
to get one of these aspects in the Colts offense, either get like if you can't get the top three
tight ends and you can't get a guy who can block and catch at least get the pass catcher.
You know, it doesn't have to be an all around guy.
If you miss out on this top three,
get a really good pass catcher and go from there.
And maybe you operate similarly last year,
but with an upgraded pass catching tight end.
Gadsden, again, he kind of plays like a basketball player.
He wins a lot of those 50-50 balls.
And I think he can be a good pass catcher in the NFL.
So Gadsden, again, the Colts miss out
on those top three tight ends. I think Gadsden's a guy you look at maybe in like later round three, round fourish
range. I think he can make a lot of sense for the Colts.
Yeah, I mean, former receiver started his career there. There's a lot of guys that you
can say this about in this class, but NFL family. So, comes from their background of
being around football, being around smart individuals in football,
whether it's people that were in his family, obviously,
or whether that's coaches that were in his life early on
his life because of it.
I think he's definitely intriguing.
And one of just the bigger dudes you're gonna see,
I remember standing next to him
and Zach has been around me in person.
It takes a lot to make me look small. And I felt small next to Gatson. I did and I think that matters at times. So
I can stay on tight end and give another name just because we I do feel like we
get pigeonholed into those three those top three guys a lot and it's a really
good class but there's not as many Colts fits as I would like in this class. That's talented
So I'm gonna go a little bit further down the road. He may get be drafted right above Gat's did it'll be close
I'm gonna say Nebraska's Thomas Fadone the second
This is a guy that not a lot of guys tested in this position at the combine
Was one of the better testers that were there
Really fluid route runner and I think and it sounds disrespectful to use the term Walmart version
Okay, it does but I don't mean it to be disrespectful when saying if the Colts can't get Tyler Warren at 14
I think for dome is someone that you go and look at what Nebraska asked him to do and
He was asked to do so many things in that offense.
So if you want to get a guy that a Big Ten program trusted to do so
many different things for a young quarterback there,
I think Fadon makes a lot of sense.
He's a guy that's probably gonna go on day three in that early range probably. But the day three is gonna be a crap shoot here.
It's gonna be so hard to predict where these guys go.
He could go in the fourth and I wouldn't be shocked if he could go in the early
part of the sixth and I wouldn't bat an eye.
But I think Fadon is the athlete that the Colts would like at the position.
And I think he's a guy that day one can compete to do some of the roles that
they're gonna want in a player like Tyler Warren.
But if he's not there for you at 14,
I think Fadon could be there later
and do a lot of those things
without maybe being the elite player
that the Colts are trying to find.
But I think it can be someone
that can be a band-aid fix early on.
Yeah, I really like Fadon.
I think if the Colts miss out on the top three, I'd probably even take him over
Gadsden just because of that blocking ability.
Like he's more of a project as a pass catcher, but the blocking ability
is really good with Fadon.
He just knows what he's doing in that regard.
Before we get this first segment, though, I do want to throw out three offensive
linemen names that have intrigued me throughout the cycle.
Logan Brown out of Kansas, Connor Colby out of Iowa, interior offensive lineman.
I think he's being slept on a bit.
And then Carson Vincent,
the offensive tackle from Alabama A&M.
I mainly want to throw him in here
because one, he's got vines for arms.
That arm length is insane.
And also when I went and talked to all the offensive linemen
at the combine and asked them all what their
most important trait was for playing the position,
the first word out of his mouth was violence.
Was just violence and be violent.
And I think he said the word violent like six times in his three sentence response to me.
So just that alone made me a Carson Vincent fan.
He's maybe someone who maybe pushes like a Blake Freeland a little bit and can't.
But maybe, I don't know if either of them would be the like the ideal swing tackle, but
you can't beggars get be choosers when it comes to offensive tackle in the NFL.
So Vincent I think has some traits to develop there, but those are some offensive linemen.
We're gonna transition to defense here in a second. Destin, don't worry. I know you have a ton of names on your list.
We're gonna get to even more on in our third segment with some of the questions I have for you.
But coming up we're gonna talk about some defensive guys who are, again, a little bit
under the radar who fit this Colts team and could make this Colts team better.
But first, imagine watching your favorite team live, feeling the energy of the crowd
and witnessing unforgettable moments.
There's nothing like experiencing a big game in person.
Getting tickets shouldn't be stressful.
That's where game time comes in, making it easier than ever to grab last minute
seats at unbeatable prices.
The curation of game time picks makes it easier to find better value for tickets
to sports, concerts, comedy, theater and everything near you.
I've been checking game time a lot lately because my Washington Capitals
are about to be in the playoffs.
So I got to get ready for the playoffs and hopefully get to a couple of those
games this year. Hopefully it's more than one series like last year, but we'll
see. We'll see. Game Time has their lowest price guarantee or they will credit you 110%
of the difference and with seat use before you buy no surprise fees and the lowest price
guarantee you can book with total confidence. So take the guesswork out of buying tickets

Gare run teed.
All right locked on every day as we are back talking about some defensive players who are
a bit of like under
the radar guys that fit this team. And again, guys, we haven't talked about a lot this draft
cycle, so we're not going to talk about Jahad Campbell here. We're not going to talk about
Carson Swesinger like we did on yesterday's show. We're going to try to throw some of
the underrated names that could be, they could be top 100 players, but these are just guys
we haven't talked enough about in this draft. We're talking defense now Destin
Who's the first guy that comes to mind when I gave you this topic beforehand?
Yeah, so the first guy I'm gonna go just in case you have them on your list so I get to talk about it more
And I'm gonna go shmail Mond and jr. Out of Georgia
Because this is a guy that when I was at the senior Bowl
I left the week feeling like this is the best linebacker
that was here. And I did not feel like going into the week that was going to be what was
going to happen. But I felt like he showed so much strength in coverage. I feel like
he just showed so much the instincts that you're going to expect out of a former five star recruit that lands at Georgia.
I think you just saw so much about this guy that just stood out
during that week there goes to the combine, has some strong testing, which I think was needed for a guy that had some medical concerns this past year
and what left him off the field because it wasn't just one injury that held him
out. Like he dealt with a couple different injuries throughout the year.
Um, uh, basically when I talked to some Georgia fans, it was kind of like a
running joke that every week on the injury report, Shmael Mondan jr.
Was there.
Um, and you would just have to kind of guess what the reasoning was.
And I think he looks healthy.
If the medicals came back in a positive light, I really think this is a guy that
the Colts are going gonna be high on.
And I know a lot of people paint him as this day three guy. Personally, I could see the report
come out that he was drafted in the third round and I wouldn't bat an eye just because I think
he could be a day one starter and be a really productive player at the NFL. Yeah, I'm not gonna
go too long on him because we actually had Ian Talk about him at the end of yesterday show
He was also very much a fan when I threw that name at Ian before we recorded
So I all I think all three of us are very very high on on Mondan. He's at my linebacker for in this class
I really really like him and if the Colts miss out on that top three, please give me my actually he might be Matt linebacker
Three depending on how you have the Georgia like tweener guy Jalen Walker in his class so big big fan of Mondan I think he's a fantastic player will be a great fit for the Colts.
I want to go with another one of my favorite players in this draft and that is safety Jonas Sanker from Virginia. Man I just love his film so much. He's not a true free safety. He's more of like a box in versatile nickel type guy.
But I mean, if we're looking at the traits here,
he's got super, super long arms, can play in the nickel.
He plays physical, one of the best overall tacklers
in this class.
I didn't even have to look up, you know,
his PFF miss tackle rate to know that
because you watch a couple games
and anytime a ball carrier is near him,
he's bringing that ball carrier down,
plays with this explosive edge downhill, it can be physical when the ball's caught in front of him
or if there's like a sweep to the outside. I think when you're looking at this Colts defense
and you're looking at the safety room, you feel good about the two starters, but if you can get
a third guy in there who maybe if you want to go some like three safety sets you have a guy like Sankar who
in college the system he played in was a three safety set defense like he's he's used to playing
in three safety he can play in the box he can play over the top if needed he reminds me a lot
of how cam bynam plays in the nfl so i think he'd be a fantastic third safety to have and maybe a guy
who could start if they don't want to give Nick Cross a big contract in a couple of seasons.
So Sanker for me, I mean, outside of Tyler Booker is probably my favorite player
in this draft. I haven't had a chance to talk about him enough on this show,
but I really love Sanker.
Someone pointed me to him not too long ago on Blue Sky.
I got to shout that guy out because, whoo, I really, really do love
watching Sanker's film.
Yeah, I mean, I think Sanker, a guy that we talked about when you were in Indy for
the combine and not knowing if it'd be the best Colts fit at the time just
because we didn't know what they were going to do in free agency at safety.
Getting by them, though, and now having that third safety spot open,
definitely feel like it opens the door for him to just be a significantly more
of a Colts fit than maybe we originally thought.
I feel like he was a really good mover
in his positional drills at the combine.
And everyone that I've talked to
that has any form of connection to him,
I've talked about just how smart of a kid this is.
So I definitely think that could end up being an option.
Staying in the secondary,
I think a guy that I really like and have liked his film is Noel Williams out of Cal.
This is a kid that if you only use the PFF mock draft simulator, you think he's going in the seventh round.
This is not going to happen. He's not going to be in the seventh round.
You do not get a guy that has this his press man skills and his ball skills and fall to the seventh round not in this class, especially
Where there's gonna be guys that are usually UDF a Graves going the fifth round. I just don't see a world where that happens
I think no Williams
Going into the new defense that the Colts are going into
Would just be a really good fit his size metric is gonna check the box for the Colts
just be a really good fit. His size metric is going to check the box for the Colts.
The speed area is going to be the only concern that he may not check the box in terms of long speed, but he's not slow by any means.
And this is a guy that I think if you drafted him could be a viable option to go
into camp and compete for that second starting quarter job. But more importantly,
just gives you another option to have
playable options that can play press man at a high level that you just don't have on the roster right
now. After we figure out who's going to be the second starting corner, there's just not a lot
of bodies in this corner room that you're going to trust to play significant snaps.
Yeah, I think it's a better chance that Williams goes round three than he goes day three at this point
I think he's got a lot of fans in the community and I think Dane Bruegler in particular has him like in
Like the 80 range or so on his big board
So he's been flying up and great production last year Chris Ballard even said it last year that
Typically ball production translates the NFL and a guy like Williams really embodies that I'll throw out another cow defender here because a
Lot of these pack 12 defender not pack 12 former pack 12. I'll throw out another Cal defender here because a lot of these Pac 12
defender, not Pac 12, former Pac 12, I guess they're in the big 10 now.
The UCLA and Cal and all that.
But a lot of these guys have been cows not in the big 10 cows.
I'm sorry.
It's an ACC. Sorry, ACC defender then.
So I'm going to say ACC defender Atlantic Ghost Conference
vendor cow linebacker Teddy Buchanan.
The arms are a bit short for what the Colts are looking for, but that's
All of them in this class are short.
Yeah, basically every single linebacker in this class.
So it's a hard thing to look at in this draft.
Buchanan to me really stands out though, because he spent so long at the SCS level, finally
made the jump up to Cal this past year and didn't miss a beat.
In fact, he got more productive as a linebacker.
I think the coverage ability is fantastic.
The eyes are really good. The feel is there. And personally, and I know Chris
Ballard also values this, but personally, when guys make that jump, when they realize
that they're playing in like a lower competition and they want to make that jump to a higher
spot and then they produce, that really catches my eye. And that's something that I really
look for in draft cycles. So Buchanan, not only being a guy who could produce in college, but also a guy who felt
comfortable enough to make that jump and then still showcase the ball skills, showcase the
coverage ability, the speed on film, one of the best athletes in this class at linebacker.
I think Teddy Buchanan, if you're getting to like day three range with linebacker, I
think he can be a fantastic like backup Mike who can be capable of wearing that green dot for you
Or heck with the Colts
Maybe you can kick Zaire Franklin back to will and then you could have a guy like Buchanan be your Mike
I think that he'd be a really good fit for this Colts team again
The arms are a little bit short, but at this point in this class everybody's arms are short
So you're not gonna get that 33 34 inch arm linebacker in this draft.
But guys we've transitioned to our final segment here.
Coming up I have a couple questions for Destin.
Very specific questions.
Put him on the spot and see what he has for you guys when it comes to again very specific
draft questions in this class.
Alrighty guys we are back with our final segment today.
So we talked about some underrated players in, you know, throughout the draft basically
in the first two segments here.
I actually had other guys on my on here that were probably going to be like UDF a guys
that that's how crazy I am at this point in the draft.
But Dustin, I want to hit you with a few very specific draft question.
Let's see how you how you counter them here.
First one I really want to get you though
Guarantee me one player on day three to the Colts day three or UDFA because again once you get to day three it's kind of
Hit or miss like guys could go in round four that could fall to undrafted so when we get to
Day three here guarantee me one player that you think the Colts are gonna to be interested in and they're going to really go all out for.
Ooh, guarantee. This is how you get me in trouble, Zach. This is how people are going to bring this back later. I'll go with somebody that I didn't say earlier
on the offensive line. I think this is a guy that they like. I think this is a
guy that, again, how I said earlier, I have no idea how rounds five through seven are gonna go.
This could be a round five pick.
This could be a priority free agent.
I'm gonna go Oklahoma State tackle Dalton Cooper.
I think he's a guy that has experience at guard and tackle.
And I think that's gonna be something to look at
because I think they're gonna end up leaving this draft
with at least two linemen
When you're looking at how they need to fill out depth and obviously a starter at right guard
I'm expecting it and I think Dalton Cooper fits a very specific mold that we've seen
Ballard go for in that late days that late day three. I don't know who that is
So I don't know what to tell you about that name, but I don't know who that is. So I don't know what to tell you about that name,
but I don't know who that is.
So yeah, I think Dalton Cooper is the guy
that right now had to predict who a day three pick
for the Colts is gonna be.
That's who I'd go.
Cool, I think one guy I go with
that's kind of under the radar is Kane Madrano,
the linebacker from UCLA.
And again, UCLA, we've been saying a lot of UCLA defenders
throughout this cycle.
But Modrono to me, again, I know the college film
was not great for him.
It was very hit or miss.
And it took him until his year five and year six seasons
to make an impact.
But he's got the long arms.
He's got the speed, the highest speed on GPS at the Shrine
Bowl this year for a linebacker.
And he looks exactly like the JoJo Domens, the the weather for
Sterling Weatherfurs, the EJ Speeds coming out like those long armed skinny linebackers
that can play some special teams that Ballard loves. So I'm going to go with King Madron
and Lou Anne Arumal was at that pro day too so maybe you know those two I mean he ran
like a six nine six three cone at 200 free free Catholic free Free, free, you know, it's funny. He was an all state discus shot put
basketball and football player in high school.
He should have transferred after like
year two of not playing UCLA, but I digress.
We're not going to talk too much about
Kane Madrano here.
We're going to throw a quarterback
question at you now, Destin.
If you could bet on one day three
quarterback to become something in the NFL.
And by something, I just mean like a like a backup that sticks because we're talking day three quarterback to become something in the NFL. And by something I just mean like a backup that sticks
because we're talking day three quarterbacks.
So let's take off the Milros, the Youers,
like those type of guys, get those out of here,
they're probably going day two.
We go to day three, which one is sticking
in the NFL in some capacity?
So I think my favorite like late day three quarterback in this class,
which if I wasn't in charge of the NFL,
that's what all the day three quarterbacks would be.
I don't see the point of drafting a quarterback in the fourth and
fifth round, but I digress, it's not my job.
I would go Max Brosmer out of Minnesota.
I think he's fun.
I really like watching his film.
I think he's a guy that
has a little bit of dual threat ability that could make him a really fun scout team quarterback
that can grow into a backup quarterback. With the Colts losing Sam Ellinger and needing
someone to compete with Jason Bean this off season and teams are going to cut fifth through
seventh round picks this year. It's just just gonna happen. Because like I said earlier,
there's just gonna be UDFA guys that typically go that way.
So I really think that Max Brosmer's a guy
that if they selected him,
could come in and compete with Bean.
And then if he doesn't end up making the roster,
I still feel like he has a really good shot
at making it back to you on the practice squad.
And I think his skill set is fun enough to where you can make him into that scout team
quarterback and potentially just develop him into one of him or Jason Bean are going to
be your emergency QB three of the future.
Yeah. And Brosmer, correct me if I'm wrong, I believe he went to Harvard first or something,
right? I think it's Mark. Yeah. Yeah, I believe so
Yeah, I want to say Harvard and he either got his degree from there
He was there for like three years or something. So very very smart player
I like talking to him at the combine for the second. I got to speak to him
So yeah, I big fan of his I'm actually gonna go with Patrick's pick here in the comment section Kyle McCord
That's the guy who?
Man, I coming into this past year. I did not, obviously nobody was high on comic cord.
I don't even think Syracuse was that high on him
at that point because we all know how it ended
with him at Ohio State, but I was kind of impressed
by his film this past year.
Like don't get me wrong, The Small Hands
doesn't play well in bad weather, had a, just a dreadful,
I want to say it was a dreadful game against like Pitt
or someone this past season, but you get him to Indy
in a dome, you get him inside, but you get him to Indy in a dome
You get him inside and you get kind of the controlled aspect of that
I mean with Indy you're gonna play 10 plus games essentially in a dome and very good conditions
So yeah, I think Kyle McCord is the guy who I kind of like on day three again
We're talking like round six seven here. I would certainly take him there. I know he's been
Getting moved up the board a little bit by some people but i think if we get to
you know rounds five six seven i'd certainly take a shot on com record um two more questions here if we're a destiny we're gonna see here we're gonna say we'll start with a positive one here first
your favorite player in the draft that when you're watching him you're like this is not a cult player
certainly not a cult's player like that like they're not gonna love him, but I love him. Who's your guy? I
Mean for the longest time it was Tyler Booker
Yeah, I've really just talked myself into it at this point that I really think he is an option now
I think I'll say
Another first round guys, so it's not gonna be as fun
but like I'm a big Will Johnson fan out of
Michigan. Like I really feel like you watched the film in 2023 and this may be hot takey and
people won't like it. But like in terms of grading the corners in this draft I would have Johnson
over Hunter at corner. And I think Travis Hunter is the best receiver in this class. So I don't hate Travis Hunter, so no one blow me up or anything.
But I really think Will Johnson is just gonna be a fantastic player.
I don't think he's a Colts fit and it's hurt me to say that over time.
That even if he's there at 14, I can see the Colts passing on him.
And I think that's the guy if he's there at 14 and you pass,
this fan base is just gonna lose their mind that they didn't take
But I think there is issues in the long speed. I think looking at this scheme
I really feel like probably sending him to a heavier zone
System is gonna be better for him and coming to the Colts
So will Johnson I really feel like he's gonna be a really good pro
But even if he's there at 14, I highly doubt he's going to be in
Indianapolis Colts.
Yeah, I kind of feel the same way about Jedi Baron out of Texas.
I'm watching his film and you can also maybe extend this to Andrew
Mccuba, but I think Mccuba is more on the Colts board because of
where he's going to go where Baron might be a top 15 top 20 pick
and the Colts are just not going to take a nickel
corner in the top 20 or nickel corner slash like sub-sig whatever they're going to have him do
in his first year in the NFL but I kind of feel similarly to Baron as I did about Mike Sandristel
last year out of Michigan and Sandristel ended up having a fantastic year with the
commanders this past year. I just like nickel corners that come downhill. They hit they can can make plays in the passing game. They can be
physical at the line like those kind of guys who can just be so involved the
Kenny Moore's essentially a football. I think Jedi Baron is certainly that kind
of guy but he's a small quarter. He's more of a slot guy. He's not going to
play on the outside. The Colts are just not going to be interested in that in
round one.
But he was one of the he was one of the best media scrum podium time
people at the combine this year to commanded the room.
Someone's going to get a great guy and a great player.
But I don't see a way that it's going to be Andy.
Yeah. Now we have one more for him.
And we say the negative for the end, because I like to keep draft coverage
to be as positive as possible.
But who's the one player in this draft where you're watching his film and maybe you've
heard the Colts like him or maybe you know, just something about him says like Colts are
going to like this guy.
But then you watch his film and you're like, I don't like him at all.
I don't want the goal to take him.
But this is such that this is kind of like me with Adonai Mitchell last year where like
I saw the vision and I could see the Colts liking Mitchell, but I despised his film so much in college.
And like who is that for you this year? Do you have one that comes to mind when I say that to you?
I mean, I think the popular one that a group of this fan base is just really in love with for the Colts if they don't take a tight end in round one is Harold Fanon.
And I think it's even worse because like I'm lower on him overall in terms and then lower
on him to the Colts.
I just think he's a guy that needs a very, very specific role in the NFL to work.
And I think there are teams that can give it to them.
I just don't think it's going to be the Colts who have
a slot receiver that already is going to be heavy used in Josh
Downs. So he's the first one that would come to mind. I think
the other person looking at a little bit of a first round
option that I think was mocked to the Colts early. And I we've
gone away from it a little bit more. So I don't think it's as
much. But Jalen Walker ended up being smaller,
end up lower on my board than I think what consensus is going to have him. I think his measurables coming in, I think it
really took away a lot of that, like diverse role in the NFL aspects, I really feel like he came in smaller than I would
have liked to see him if he was going to be playing actually in a standup role.
I feel like he's probably somebody that if he's going to play in the NFL is
probably just going to be an edge rusher now. And that's fine.
I think he has very good edge rushing film. I just,
I'm not sure if he's this diverse positional player that a lot of people think
he is. It's cause probably Jehub Campbell, who is actually that.
Yeah, Walker feels very like Frankie Louvoo, who's awesome.
I love Frankie Louvoo so much.
But what do you take that top 15?
Probably not. It's tough to take them out because like
there are some bases that want to take them in the top 10.
Yeah, like the ceiling is like a Frankie Louvoo type player.
Like that's a pro bowl type player.
That's an awesome player.
But top 10, top 15, like it's hard for me to even talk myself sometimes
into Jahad Campbell at 14 because offball linebacker primarily is what he's going to be.
Even though I think he's like a top eight player in the draft for me, I love him to death.
But I'll fall linebacker round one does scare me my comment section here clearly knows me very well here with who I'm gonna
Go here. We got Quinn yours comment Queen you can come in yours full stop same
Do not take Quinn yours you guys just know me so well like obviously I'm gonna say Quinn yours for this like
Even if the Colts were putting me in Destin in a quarterback competition this offseason, I wouldn't add Quinn Ewers to that locker room and disrupt the flow
of that beautiful competition that me and Destin would have going. I just don't like Quinn Ewers
at all as a quarterback. Like I can talk myself into Jackson Dart if the Colts were going
quarterback. I could talk myself into Shadr Sanders. He's super accurate. Yours for me, I think the only positive you really get on film is that he's operated in
a similar offense to what Shane Steichen runs in the NFL. Like Sarkeesian and Steichen,
they have a lot of overlapping tendencies and how they call offense. But with Quinn
yours, like he wasn't even the best quarterback on that roster last year. The team was better when he wasn't on the field.
I don't know how you could take that in the draft.
I like I'm like I know Arch Manning's going to be a pretty good prospect next year, but like,
I don't know. I just don't I don't see it with the arm strength.
I don't see the deep ball is horrendous.
At best, I think you get like a Derek Carr.
I just and yeah, under pressure, he's just dreadful.
Like I don't see it with Quinn Ubers Jackson Dart.
Again, I could talk myself into it because he's a psycho.
I can't talk myself into it with Quinn Ubers.
I just can't.
Dustin, if you want to give real quick comments on Quinn Ubers, though,
I mean, just like I said earlier, I'm just a person who I really just
don't believe in middle drafting quarterbacks.
Like if I was in charge of NFL team, I would take quarterbacks in the first and
then early part of the second.
I have a hard time even as a late second round pick nowadays.
But early first round, early second, and then I would just take third,
fourth, fifth round off my board for quarterbacks.
It'd be sixth and seventh rounders because I just don't see a point.
The hit rate there is just so small.
And why give them that type of contract and that type of roster guarantee?
I mean, you're not cutting many third, fourth round picks, why
draft a quarterback where you feel like that is necessary to
guarantee them a roster spot when it's just not necessary.
So that's basically where I fall with Quinn Ewers. And I guess
not anything against him specifically, just because I
think a lot of those middle quarterbacks in this class fall in
that same category for me. Um,
the only positive that goes for him is he's a former five star number one
overall quarterback prospect. Um, and there's elements of that,
that whether we like it or not, NFL teams care about, um, like those things,
still end up mattering. Oh yeah, for sure. NFL teams, weirdly enough,
look at the star rating
quite a bit when it comes to this stuff.
