and Zach Hicks of HorseshoeHuddle.com. I'm your resident media member for the site and Zach is
your resident film nerd for the site. And today we are putting our final touches on Colts and Dolphins this Sunday, 1 o'clock at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Look at the offense, look at the defense.
And then in the third segment, this is probably something we'll start doing every week.
We'll, of course, give you our thoughts on who we think are going to win,
but also put out a call for you guys, you know, pretty much on all channels to give us your bold predictions.
And we're going to list off the best ones there at the end.
So let's talk about the offense first, Zach.
Anthony Richardson, he is back, officially back, not in the emergency QB capacity.
He'll be the starter out there on Sunday.
Hopefully he can start and finish.
Obviously that's, you know, been a concern.
It's kind of the elephant in the room when it comes to him.
Jonathan Taylor is out. And then any other injuries, Chris Lam been a concern. It's kind of the elephant in the room when it comes to him. Jonathan Taylor is out.
And then any other injuries, Chris Lamans is out.
But with Kenny Moore out there, that's inconsequential really to anything but the special teams.
So what do you think?
A full week of learning a little bit about Miami's defense and their team as a whole,
knowing Anthony is back out there.
We've seen the last couple weeks the offense looking pretty good.
So what are your thoughts out there for this weekend with Anthony being the starter?
Yeah, I think the big thing this week for Anthony Richardson
is really getting back to what worked last year for him,
where I don't think this is too controversial of a take,
but I think last year we saw a lot more like clean play from him
in terms of just he didn't have as many overthrows
or just clear misses and miscommunications last season.
He didn't have as bad accuracy problems in general like he did,
I think he's been having this year.
And then just again, just pushing some things,
forcing some things that he doesn't need to force.
Maybe just this time out kind of helped him get his nerves back under control,
get back into the rhythm of playing football.
I know, again, he hasn't been out there for these last couple games,
but he's been able to get some more practices and more mental reps in.
So maybe that can help him calm down a little bit as he gets back out there this Sunday.
So I really want to see him get back to kind of what was working last season
and then kind of combine that with the explosive play that he's brought this season.
Because, again, last season, it was very much like a little bit more accurate, a little bit better on the underneath game and taking things as they come while mixing in some explosive plays.
This year, it's been all explosive plays and the underneath stuff has been a big issue.
So I want to see, especially
against a Dolphins team that struggled this season, their defense is banged up and not playing well.
Their offense can't really go toe-to-toe with anybody right now because of their quarterback
situation. And even without their quarterback situation, they've had some issues on offense
in the past while here with Mike McDaniel. So you really want to see this Colts team just be
more under control in this game,
take things as they come, get some points on the board, and then hopefully beat a team that you
should be beating, which is this Miami Dolphins team right now. So I do want to see more calm
play from Anthony Richardson. Again, you can still have the explosives, you can still have the big
plays, and we know he's going to be looking for them, but also mix in some of the underneath stuff,
also have a productive game in the short to intermediate range and just get this win this
weekend, you know, protect yourself. That's another big thing. You know, I didn't just mention it
there, but like, yeah, he's got to stay healthy. That's something that's just going to be on
everybody's mind, obviously every single game, because we're looking at, again, we're in the
middle of year two right now,
and he's left a lot of games with injury and missed a lot of games with injury.
Got to stay healthy out there, but just in terms of getting away from the health,
clean up the underneath stuff, clean up some stuff.
I know it's going to be good that he's finally getting some reps
with Josh Downs in practice, getting some reps with Josh Downs
in the game on Sunday, which is going to be great.
He only had, what, five quarters to play with Josh Downs in his first bit of action this season. So
hopefully Josh Downs can help him in that short game. But yeah, I just want to see a clean game
from Anthony Richardson. It doesn't need to be a perfect game, but I want to see something,
you know, like 60 plus percent completion percentage. I want to see the turnovers cut
down to one or zero in this one. And I want to
see a game where they're able to put some points on the board because it hasn't been super pretty
from Richardson this season. And you want to see some of that growth before the end of the season,
obviously, but clearly just, you know, at this, at any point this season, you want to see some of
that growth. Yeah. I think something we've seen from him is when things are pretty clean and he's got the time and everything, you know, it's just inaccurate.
Like, for whatever reason, when he's under duress is when he is most dialed in
and making plays.
But this Miami defense, especially since losing Jalen Phillips,
they don't really get after the quarterback.
The Colts have the clear advantage in the trenches here,
so he is probably going to have some clean pockets with times to throw,
and you just can't airmail those.
You know, just like you mentioned, hopefully this brought him some calm.
You know, this was a little bit of an opportunity to just kind of get
recentered and almost treat it like the preseason a little bit.
You had all that time off.
Now it's time to get back in there.
I'm very curious if this will open up the run game at all.
I don't think any defense is going to be thinking it's going to be a run-heavy
approach with him as a big part of it just because he's coming back from injury,
obviously, and that's something they've had to deal with a little bit.
But there's been almost no run game with, with Sermon and Goodson,
unless it's been created by the offensive line. These guys are not creating a lot of their own
yards, you know, in these last couple of games. But with Anthony back there, maybe that opens
things up a little bit, you know, at least the threat of him because you don't really want to
be one dimensional because obviously Joe Flacco is better suited for a one-dimensional pass offense than Anthony is. But just, you know, some, some balance to the
offense, like you said, try to limit those turnovers because that wasn't really something
he was doing last year. I don't expect, you know, the, the interception heavy approach to continue
just because that's not, that's really never in practice last year or this year.
That's, that's just really never been who he is, you know,
a careless turnover heavy guy. But yeah, just some productivity.
We don't have to have an 11 and a half YPA or anything either.
Like some big plays mix in there. You know,
the Colts get the benefit of Javon Holland being doubtful.
The really good dolphin safety.
So if your best safety is probably not going to play and you don't have much pass rush,
hopefully, you know, the Colts don't find a way to make this really sloppy in the passing game.
Yeah.
And the one thing I want to add with the run game is, you know, just because Richardson's coming back,
it doesn't all of a sudden turn Trey Servon and Tyler Goodson into these creators at running back. Because look, these guys are probably not going to be that. Trey Sermon can turn out some tough yards, but he's not going to get off, you know, big run gains. His main usefulness for this team is pass blocking, but he will get the lion's share of the snaps. And then Tyler Goodson will be the lightning in a bottle that'll come in. He can just run straight, but when he hits that hole running
straight, it's going to be a big game because he's got that straight line speed. But here's the big
thing that Anthony Richardson adds is it makes life easier for those guys and takes out some of
how condensed it is in the box. You know, like with Joe Flacco back there, you can stack the
box when he's under center or on early
downs just because you know there's no extra threat of him running with Richardson even if
he only runs the ball maybe one or two times in this game because you're trying to take it easy
every time he's handing that ball forward from the pistol or from the gun you still have to be wary
of him running you know and linebackers will be pulled with him you can use motion to kind of
kind of sell that a little bit too and it makes makes it so like, hey, Tyler Goodson,
when he has one little crease that he can hit,
he can take this thing a long way.
Well, there's going to be more of those creases now
because Anthony Richardson is simply on the field.
So that'll be a big thing.
And also it opens up the play action game
where Richardson has been at his best this season
is in play action.
That is really one area that he's been really good this season
is off of play action. He had a lot of success against the Houston Texans off play action,
and the Colts like their shotgun play action game. So if you can get something going on the
ground game and get into third and one and third and two, we can really open up some of those play
action shots or play action intermediate throws that Richardson can hit on. But it'll be an
interesting game. Again, the Dolphins defense is banged up. They haven't been great this season,
but this Colts team is coming in with backup right guard, backup running backs. Their top
three receivers are all questionable and it really comes down to pain management with those guys.
Like it Sunday morning could happen. They all wake up really sore and they're not able to go.
Like I know we're anticipating Josh Downs and Michael Pittman Jr.
and even Alec Pierce to a degree to all play on Sunday.
But we'll have to see because, again, it's all pain management for these guys.
So we'll see what the status looks like on Sunday.
But I'm just excited to see Anthony Richardson back out there, man,
because, again, we said it on this show a lot the last couple weeks,
like getting extra data points on Anthony Richardson is more
important than Joe Flacco doing anything on the field you know a 40-year-old quarterback isn't
giving you anything outside of maybe slightly better play right now where with Richardson just
getting those data points on him is that be all end all like it's everything that you want right
now is just seeing what you have in this kid so him getting back on the football field him throwing
the ball a little bit is a big win for the Colts.
And hopefully it can turn to a big win for this team on Sunday.
Yeah.
Just another quick thing.
You know,
the past couple of weeks of being able to watch Joe play probably offers
Anthony a lot more wisdom than maybe a Gardner Menchie last year.
So probably a lot of,
a lot of,
you know, knowledge for him lot of, you know,
knowledge for him to gain,
you know,
playing within the same offense as Joe,
Joe can help him say,
you know,
here's why I did this or like,
you know,
do this instead of that,
because Joe is also kind of notorious for just grip it and rip it.
Like he doesn't overthink it.
You're always going to hear him say it's just football.
So I think that'll be really helpful and almost grounding for Anthony to hear,
you know, taking the reins back from Joe.
But coming up here in a moment, we're going to talk about the Colts defense,
and this may be a good matchup for them.
We have seen them take advantage of a couple of these ones
where they kind of have the good advantage.
For most of us who like collecting cards,

So I'll let you start here soon. So defensively for the Colts, like I said, Chris Lamont is out.
That's really no biggie because Kenny Moore is back, was able to get back there last week.
Daiwa Dangbo is questionable with his hamstring injury. He was in and out of practice this week, left that last game early.
So I think he truly is questionable.
We do not know if he's going to play or not.
You know, Latu, that means kind of a bigger onus on him stepping up once again.
Like we mentioned on one of our recent shows, the pressure rates are there.
You just got to kind of finish a little more and come out with sacks.
Quiddie Paving, another another week healthy is obviously beneficial.
EJ Speed has been banged up as well.
So the Colts do have their injuries on defense,
but personally I feel like it's getting better.
You know, if Dio can't play, I think that obviously is a little bit of a hit
as you're leading pass rusher right now.
But overall, I feel really good about this.
Miami is dead last in scoring. I think it's 12 points per game. as your leading pass rusher right now. But overall, I feel really good about this.
Miami is dead last in scoring.
I think it's 12 points per game.
Now they are coming off of their bye week,
but Tyler Huntley,
something we kind of learned from the crossover for Thursday with Kyle Krabs
is Tyler Huntley maybe isn't the best fit
for what Mike McDaniel normally does
in that Miami offense.
Maybe they used this bye week
to either get him up to speed a little bit, you know, maybe not fit a square peg in a round hole,
but kind of maybe tailor some things better to him or just get him to maybe, you know, link,
you know, you did this in Baltimore, you know, this is how we translate it to our offense here in Miami.
But we'll see.
You know, basically Kyle said the best way that Miami possibly wins this
is by throwing something at the Colts that they haven't yet showed.
Yeah.
And you know what's funny is this matchup, I think on paper,
if everyone's healthy, is such a horrible one for the Colts.
Oh, yeah.
It is a terrible matchup for the Colts because you have a Shanahan tree
versus a Gus Bradley defense,
which Shanahan trees just feast on Gus Bradley's defense.
You have a,
an offense that prioritizes a quick spacing of the field,
hitting,
getting the ball out quick and getting that,
that yards after catch with these absolute burners at wide receiver and
running back,
even with a Chan that Colts defense just doesn't really have like the ability to combat.
Like they don't have the fastest corners in football.
They don't have a scheme that can really, you know, allow these guys to run to one turn
and run with these guys.
But also they struggle with tackling this season and one tackle missed against Tyreek
Hill.
That's a touchdown for an offense.
So I think if everybody was healthy in this game, it's certainly a matchup that doesn't tackling this season and one tackle missed against Tyreek Hill that's a touchdown for an offense so
I think if everybody was healthy in this game it's certainly a matchup that doesn't favor the Colts
and and honestly maybe if the Dolphins even had like a competent Shanahan quarterback this would
be a matchup that the Colts could easily get the doors blown off like this could be a Jaguars game
type of matchup for the Colts but because Tyler Huntley
is such a brutal fit for everything that the Dolphins want to do and Skylar Thompson's no
better like I'm not even trying to say they made the wrong decision here by going to Tyler Huntley
um like they just kind of it's just a rough spot for that offense right now so I do think their
their biggest game plan is going to be to emulate exactly what the Packers did in week two. A lot of running game, a lot of misdirection run game in the backfield and forcing the
Colts to be good in their run fits and good in their tackling.
And I really think that's the best way to attack this Colts defense when you don't have
a competent passing game.
We saw it with the Titans last week.
The Titans nearly beat the Colts while throwing less than 100 yards on offense.
Like they were able to run the ball with a lot of misdirection, a lot of power to the defensive tackle that is not Grover Stewart.
And just kind of, you know, making the linebackers move and guess pre-snap and then making everybody
else try to try to make tackles, you know, cause that's where the Colts have struggled. So I do
think there is a way for this Dolphins offense to score on this Colts defense. Like, I don't think it's set in stone that the Colts defense is going to dominate, but
I will say this, as long as the Colts play like they did last week against the Titans,
who crazy enough probably have a better passing game right now than the Dolphins do,
which seems crazy to say, as long as the Colts defense comes to play like they did last week,
only having five to six missed tackles, like they should be able to do enough to get the win in this one.
It's a very, very low, like the bar is so like, like, I don't want to say like the expectations,
like a shutout or something like that. But like, all you really have to do is make your tackles
and fit against the run because Tyler Huntley is not going to be a guy who can drop back 30,
40 times and burn your defense.
That's just not his game. That's not what he's capable of doing at the NFL level. So
just fit against the run well, like make your tackles, like don't get confused by all the
motion that's going to be happening in the backfield and finish plays. Like it's a very
simple ask for this defense. I know they've let us down in the past, but they're coming off a good week in the Tennessee Titans.
I'm not going to say I'm as optimistic as you are, Jake,
about them having a great game,
but this should be, on paper, a good week for this Colts defense.
It should be.
Will it happen?
Again, I've been proven wrong before because of that Jaguars game.
I'm still burned by that one.
But, yeah, it really is a game where it's like,
they just got to stop the run and they got to, you know, really come down with these tackles
and finish plays. And, and I think the Colts are going to come out with a real determination to do
that. You know, we've seen them in recent weeks, really, really commit to stopping the run,
you know, having Nick cross in the box on, on early downs, having Jalen Carlisle out there
with base defense on early downs, having Adam Gatsas at defensive end on base defense early downs, like they are committing
maybe even too much to stop the run. But for the most part, it's kind of worked since that
Packers game. I know it wasn't a great week last week, but it has mostly worked. So as long as they
really commit to stopping the run, they fit well, their tackles this should be a fine game for the defense i i can't go as far as saying a dominant game
but it should be a good enough game to get the win and that's all i'm asking for at this point
get me the win get out of this game four and three and then go into the the murderer's row
stretch that's after this of six games after that yeah i mean the dolphins do have the benefit of
coming off the bye, but like the,
the Colts were scouting them as well. They could see that the only way that Miami was able to beat
new England, for example, was with a strong run game. Yeah. You shut that down, which the Colts
want to try to do with every opponent now, because everyone's run at them or tried to,
you know, that's, that's how you beat my, Miami. If Tyler Huntley beats you through the air, eh, it is what it is.
Like, you obviously want to stop the run because you know that's what Miami's
going to try to throw at you.
So coming up, guys, who is going to win this game?
And we get into your bold predictions.
NFL fans, you can get through this early portion of the season
with a big return on FanDuel,
America's number one sports book.
So when you have a hunch in the middle of the game, you can check out the latest stats,
view life, play-by-play, and so much more on the same page where you're placing your bets.
You'll get started with $200 in bonus bets guaranteed when you place your first $5 bet.
So in this one right now, the Colts are three point favorites
with a 43 and a half over under.
So if I were you,
I would go and slaughter the over
for the Colts on that three,
you know, take them.
I don't know, the 43 and a half, we'll see.
It depends on how badly you think
the Colts might beat them.
But yeah, I'm taking the Colts on the points there.
So go and place that bet and more player props,
whatever you want to do on FanDuel.com.
All right, Zach, I'm going to make quick work of it with my prediction,
and then you can give yours,
and then we'll get into everybody's bold predictions.
So I think the Colts are going to win 27 to 13,
their first blowout win of this season.
Just everything I see about Miami, there's not one smoking gun that really scares me,
which, of course, when the Colts have all the advantages almost, that's when letdown
city happens.
But no, I say 27-13.
Miami's defense does a little bit.
I think that they'll get one point more than their point per game average.
So I'll give them a little bit of credit there.
But no, I'm going to rely on Anthony to make some big explosive plays,
which Miami has allowed this year.
But they're not getting after the quarterback enough.
There's just no one area where they're really succeeding.
They're not doing well in the red zone, not on third down.
Like all the key areas
it's just it's whatever you know they're not turning the ball over at a huge clip which okay
but it is what it is i i think the colts get a big one here what about you yeah i'll be quick
with mine too i have the colts winning 24 16 which is breaking uh my my recent streak you haven't
been doing that the colts are oh and2 in games I've picked them this year.
They're 3-1 in games I've picked against them.
So look, we're going to test it here one more time.
We're going to test the jinx.
If the Colts somehow lose this one,
then I will never pick them again
just so we can get back into the win column.
But yeah, I have the Colts winning this one 24-16.
Like you said, the Dolphins are just really struggling right now.
I do think my biggest bold prediction,
which will lead us really well into our bold prediction, is the Dolphins are just really struggling right now. I do think, you know, my biggest bold prediction, which will lead us really well into our bold
prediction, is the Dolphins go down on their first drive and it's like a six play, like
78 yard touchdown drive.
And they only run the ball all six plays.
And everyone's throwing the remote at the TV and screaming that this is going to be
the game that Gus Bradley was, you know, tackled by fans or something like that.
But then the game calms down. I do
think the Dolphins are going to have some tricks up their sleeve. I think there's gonna be some
trick plays. I think they're going to have some, you know, reverses and crazy counter runs that
the Colts haven't seen that will catch them off guard at times. But ultimately, at the end of the
day, it really does come down to a talent issue. The Colts are banged up, but they at least have
a quarterback who can throw the
ball. They have an offensive line that's playing well. They have a defense that has been kind of
capable at times this year, unlike the Dolphins defense for the most part. And again, they just
have an offense that is able to move the ball despite inconsistencies. So yeah, I think the
Colts win this game. That's just the better team has to win. And look, if the Colts lose this game,
you can't, if you go three and four
into the six game stretch they have coming up,
you're probably not doing anything this season.
So this is kind of, again, I hate to say the MW word here,
the must win thing here,
but it kind of is a must win for the Colts.
But yeah, I'll stick with that bold prediction though.
That's my bold prediction, Jake,
is the Dolphins go down and score easily
on their first drive
and everyone's ready to curse this game and say it's the worst thing ever.
That's my biggest bold prediction right there.
I like that a lot.
All right, so let's go ahead and get to some of these fan ones.
So a couple of them, I think two or three, involved A.D. Mitchell having his breakout
game going over 100 yards, leading the Colts in receiving at least.
I could see that because it seemed, I mean,
as long as he continues to get the targets in playing time,
it seems like it's only a matter of time before he does have that
welcome to the NFL game.
He's getting the separation.
It's just the targets, him and the quarterbacks,
are not on the same page, which you feel like eventually that's going to turn.
So I could see it.
That one is not too far fetched for me.
He is so good on double moves that he's going to score on one of these
double moves.
It's just,
when is it happening?
So for people saying breakout game,
like,
I don't think it's going to be like a seven,
eight,
nine catch game.
Like his breakout game this year will be a game where it's like two catches,
60 yards and a touchdown because he has one catch that goes for like 55 and a score. And then he doesn't play much the rest of the game because
he wins on that double move though. So I, it could come this week. It could come next week,
the week after it could come in week 18. I know he's going to score on one of these double moves
because he is so good at them. It's just, when is that double move touchdown coming?
You know, this week's a good enough bet as any, for sure.
We'll stay on the rookie path. Lay out too. Latu has two sacks. I'm good with that one too. I mean,
the pressure is there. It's just the same with AD. Like the first, the first two thirds of the play is going great. It's just about finishing it. It's all there. The talent has been clearly there.
It's not like he's been a no-show. Like he's leading.
I think he's second on the team in pressures behind Dio and first in hurries.
And win rate too.
First and win rate too.
He's one or two in pretty much all the metrics other than sacks.
Yeah.
No, I think that's a fine prediction, especially with Huntley.
Again, Huntley's not the best pocket presence,
a guy who likes to run around a little bit.
I think as long as Latu finishes his plays, yeah, two sacks is very feasible for him.
Next one, we finally get a boring fourth quarter because the Colts are up by 20 plus points.
I'm with you.
I mean, I have them.
What's my win?
14 points.
But yeah, I mean, if they're up huge 20 plus points, I mean, what's the difference between
14 and 20 plus?
If the route's on, then the route's plus you know if you're if it's if the
route's on then the route's on i mean the key will be whatever the colt scores at halftime
shane steichen in his career with the colts i believe is 13 and 0 when they lead or tie at
halftime and then he's 0 and 12 i think when they're trailing at halftime i think that's i
think it's either 13 and 12 or it's 12 and 11 something like that whatever his official but
yeah they've won every time they've been leading or tied at halftime.
So as long as we're leading at halftime,
then I think that prediction has a good chance right there, Jake.
I like it.
Now this next one, one of the most common ones was takeaways
and defensive performances of big defensive plays.
So one of them is four takeaways by the Colts.
Someone says the Colts get a safety and Kenny Moore gets a pick six.
Someone here says the defense gets four sacks.
Samuel Womack gets a pick.
And then they added that Anthony throws for 300 yards with no picks and a Colts win.
So yeah, like a big, huge, gaudy, big play day by the defense.
This is the day for it. If not, I mean, if not
now, then when, I mean, this is the worst passing game situation other than, you know, Tennessee.
Cause I mean, Levis is, is definitely more willing to go YOLO than, than Snoop Huntley is, but
I mean, yeah. Aaron throws pressure, all that stuff creates big plays.
It's about finishing plays man I mean last
week against Levis they had what four balls that probably hit corners in their hands I mean
if you can be a little picky and count that last Womack pass breakup is one he probably could have
caught but Blackman had a drop pick Carlisle had a drop pick and then Blackman obviously had the
one he came away with in that game it's about finishing plays like they have been right there
for this Colts defense you just gotta finish those plays and come away with them that game. It's about finishing plays. They have been right there for this
Colts defense. You just got to finish those plays and come away with them. So I'm not going to say
it's not going to happen. I got to see it to believe it with this Colts defense. But look,
again, Huntley has not had a good stretch here with the Dolphins. Again, I don't expect them
to throw the ball too much unless they get down late. But the plays are going to be there for
these Colts defenders. They got to Colts defenders they got to make plays they
got to make plays I love the Womack uh gets a pick uh prediction though because he's been right there
on a couple this year it's about having the confidence to put his hands out to catch it now
instead of just knocking away he's been knocking away a bunch of passes let's go out there and get
a pick in this one another very common one Tyler Goodson having a big game, basically his breakout game, whether it's 100-plus yards.
I think someone said 150 yards.
Dude, we had so many Tyler Goodson ones.
Yeah, a couple touchdowns.
I'm with it.
I mean, a guy with straight-line speed, he's not really going to make you miss.
He's not quite, you know, the big play threat that Devon Achan is,
but if the offensive line opens up big holes,
which they should be able to do against this Miami front seven,
bon voyage. I mean, shoot, 60 yard untouched touchdown. I mean, I could see it.
Yeah. I'm, I'm very much a fan of Tyler Goodson out snapping Trey Sermon in this game. I don't
think it's going to happen. But if it were up to me, I would personally go that route just because
again, with Richardson, you're going to have more space in the run game just because there's going to be
lighter boxes. You can also mix in some motion that creates lighter boxes and has linebackers
displacing themselves out of the box. And again, when Trey Sermon has an extra bit of space,
he's going to turn a two yard run into a four yard run. Tyler Goodson can turn a two yard run
into a 30 yard run because of that speed. I
mean, like Tyler Goodson has that next level speed that is better than Jonathan Taylor at this point,
like because Taylor is more of that patient, like, you know, takes his time running back where
Goodson it's one step and I'm just going to be running straight. So I hope that Goodson gets
around 10 ish carries in this game. I would love to see him, him get those touches.
I don't know if the Colts are going to do that though,
because the difference in pass blocking is so,
so big right now between Goodson and Trey sermon and the Colts look what
their heavy shotgun play action game.
They need a running back in there that can pass block.
And that's what Trey sermon gives them.
So I don't know if that's coming this week,
but I look,
I would love it,
man.
I love me some Tyler Goodson ever since he took some,
like he took all that accountability for the last play last year and just had a
really great camp and really determined to turn it around this season.
And he's had some good moments.
Like I would love to see him have a breakout game.
It doesn't have to be a hundred yards.
It can be like 50 yards again, like last week.
Like I will, I will gladly take that from Tyler Goodson.
Another little part of that is, you know, in the kickoff game, maybe he busts a big one, you know, yards again like last week like i will i will gladly take that from tyler goodson another little
part of that is you know in the kickoff game maybe he busts a big one you know yeah that's part of it
as well uh last quick one just because i think this one's pretty spicy this is the game we look
at and say and say that's the game that got gus bradley fired and it's like on paper obviously
miami has all these great offensive weapons and when they have their quarterback, it all works well. It obviously we've seen now, you know,
over the past few years, it doesn't work when Tua's not out there.
So it's like,
does Gus do something negligent enough to be one of the rare teams that,
you know,
gets pounded on by this offense that doesn't show it against anybody else with
other quarterback
yeah we'll see i mean but if this is the game then we've already seen some stinkers just make
your tackles please defense like i know it's gonna be like look this could easily be a game
where the colts miss 20 tackles again like they did against the jaguars and it becomes a 30 point
showing from the defense and everyone will blame the defensive coordinator but it's like
what do you want gus to go out there and make the tackle himself like event like becomes a 30 point showing from the defense and everyone will blame the defensive coordinator, but it's like,
what do you want Gus to go out there and make the tackle himself?
Like event,
like,
you know,
eventually the linebackers in the,
in the safeties need to make tackles. And I could totally see it being one of those games where it's like the
dolphins came out here,
they ran the ball 50 times and threw the ball 10,
but the Colts defense couldn't make tackles.
And they grew and they gave up a 30 piece to the dolphins.
Like we'll see.
I,
I,
I'd be shocked if another embarrassing game like that Packers game happened
again this year,
but we'll see.
You never know what this team,
this Colts team keeps you on your toes and you never know.
But with HN and Tyreek Hill and,
and Jalen Waddle,
Jalen Smith or Jalen Wright,
not Jalen Smith,
Jalen Wright.
They just have so much.
I mean, Raheem Mostert is probably the –
Mostert's still got some juice.
Yeah, Mostert.
Like, this guy – this offense has a lot of juice.
And the thing is, like, when you were missing these tackles against the Packers,
Josh Jacobs was turning, like, 5-yard runs into 15-yard runs
because he's a really good running back.
Like, that's what a good running back does.
Again, if you miss a tackle in this game, it could easily become a
60, 70 yard touchdown. Like you cannot miss tackles in this game. So this might be the game
we say, you know, Gus Bradley got fired, but it really ultimately is make your tackles. I don't
care who you are. Like, I don't care if you have to grab their jersey and rip it off of them,
whatever it is, get them on the ground. That's all that matters in this game. The Colts missed
tackle rate will be the most important stat for the defense after
this game.
As long as they make their tackles, their defense will be good enough to win this one.
It's about making those tackles though.
