Hello, everybody. Welcome into Locked On Colts, probably Locked On Podcast Network.
Today, as always, I'm your host, Evan Sider. I'm joined by a very special guest.
He'll be a weekly guest now from here on out throughout the season on Thursdays.
Jake Arthur of Colts.com. It was a pleasure meeting you at camp, by the way, as well, Jake.
Yeah, absolutely, man. I was glad you were able to come out there.
Yeah, we're going to hit on a lot of interesting stuff for you guys today.
We're going to start off, though, I know Jake covers fantasy football as well,
alongside what he does over at Colts.com.
So we're going to hit on a lot of Colts-related subjects on that.
Who should take a fantasy early, maybe?
Who are some sleepers on the Colts you should hit on?
Then we're going to finish up today's show talking about your hot takes.
I know you sent those in last week, listeners,
and I'm going to react alongside Jake to see which is actually the hottest or not.
But let's start off here, Jake, with your overall takeaway so far preseason
before we dive into all this.
What stands out so far to you over the last couple weeks?
Well, just kind of knowing that the starters haven't really been playing.
I'm a big proponent of seeing the younger guys get to go out there.
I love the fact that we've seen Deion Kane pretty much pick up
where he left off last year.
And not only is that, I think he's a little more consistent.
In my opinion, last year, he was making a lot of big plays in camp, but there wasn't
a ton in between the big plays that he was just doing constant highlights.
But now he's making catches in between all these things.
He's become much more consistent.
So that's something I I definitely like to see.
I think we've seen clear growth from all the young guys.
I think every year there's someone who we've seen regress
or they're just not there still.
I don't think we had anyone like that this year.
Even Naheem Hines, last year he kind of looked a little skittish, unsure of himself.
Now he looks very confident, very comfortable handling return duties again as one of the
guys in the rotation.
I'm going to go ahead and say that I like what we're seeing from the young guys.
If we're not going to see a lot of the starters, then we're seeing a lot of these developmental
guys come along. I hit on this earlier this week with George a lot of the starters, then we're seeing a lot of these developmental guys come along.
I hit on this earlier this week with George Bremer of the Harold Bulletin.
I want to get your thoughts as well, too, Jay,
before we dive into some fantasy talk.
I noticed when I was there at camp and also through Precinct
that the team's speed on both sides of the ball,
I noticed an emphasis Chris Bauer talked about during the draft time,
and they really hit on it as well in the draft with their picks.
But have you noticed an uptick as far as the speed goes on both sides of the ball?
I think so.
I was a little surprised at how fast they were last year.
I knew they were going to be smaller and faster.
But just watching them through the season, I don't think I was prepared for how fast they actually were.
So now I kind of went into camp with a little more of an expectation.
And seeing some of the guys that they brought in, it only added to it.
You know, first, second, and third team, the defense was flying around.
So it's definitely noticeable, I think,
but definitely more so now that we kind of grew to know what to expect last year.
We're definitely going to hit on a lot of Colts topics with Jake throughout the season,
mainly on game days as we're getting close to the season starting in about 17 days from now.
But since I know a lot of fantasy drafts are happening over the next couple of weeks,
I know mine is actually in a couple of days, I want to get you on here and talk about fantasy football.
I know a lot of listeners out there are probably in leagues themselves.
And let me get your thoughts as well.
Who's maybe a player on the Colts that you're kind of surprised or maybe not so surprised I guess but more so he's kind of falling on boards a little more than you think as
far as a Colt player goes uh someone who's sliding a little bit yeah correct um I think if if there's
one person where I really don't like their ADP right now.
It's Jack Doyle.
He's averaging about tight end 18 right now.
And I get it.
He's been hurt.
And Eric Ebron exploded last year.
People kind of have forgotten about Jack Doyle over the fantasy landscape.
But that's just – once the Bullets start to fly during the season,
that's not going to be the case.
I mean, he's been going to be the case.
I mean, he's been a security blanket for Andrew Luck and Jacoby Brissett.
I wouldn't be surprised if he still catches, you know,
at least five balls a game like we were used to seeing.
As long as he stays healthy,
nothing in training camp didn't really show that he's not going to have that same role that he's always had.
He really never leaves the field because of how versatile he is.
Especially in PPR leagues, I think Jack Doyle is definitely going to outperform his current
draft position.
Since we're on top of the tight ends, Jake, I might as well toss to you.
Where would you rank Doyle compared to Ebron?
I know Ebron's the touchdown machine, and he might be that again this year.
But with added weapons, you mentioned Doyle in PPR.
He might be a guy who gets 70 catches this year.
How would you decipher those two?
Do you think they're close to what many people think?
Yeah, so on fantasy pros, Eric Ebron is the number 10th ranked guy right now,
and Doyle's 18th.
I have them both ranked higher than that.
I have Ebron up around tight end 7.
I think everyone expects a natural regression, at least in the
touchdowns, which is fair. Get one of the better tight end seasons of
all time as far as touchdowns go.
I've seen too much in camp to think that his role is going to regress that much.
He's still a matchup nightmare, especially in the red zone.
He can work from the slot.
I'm going to have to see him fall off on the field before I rank him much lower.
And then I have Doyle not too far behind him.
I have Doyle as my 11th tight end.
And simply, he doesn't get a lot of yards.
He's not really the touchdown guy, but he gets a ton of catches.
So purely from a PPR perspective, I think that's fair to rank him, you know, around 11th.
Because, again, he's not going to get a ton of yards or touchdowns.
So I do have them relatively close.
Ebron at 7th and Doyle at 11th.
That's really good.
If you're trying to get tight ends, I'd try to maybe – do you think maybe getting them both in the same team to smart idea for your ppr league uh yeah if if you've got any flex spots that allow tight ends
or even if you've got two flex spots then having two tight ends is definitely worth it uh i always
like to have at least a couple guys who there may be they maybe don't have huge upside they're not
going to like blow up and lead your team.
But if you have to start them,
they're going to get you at least five, six, seven points.
And I think having tight end-wise,
they don't come much safer than Jack Doyle.
Assuming he's healthy now,
which he's had a long time to come back from those injuries.
So there's not a lot of reasons for us to think he won't be healthy.
So I think having a safe tight end like that,
in a position, honestly, in fantasy that's really shallow,
there's not much depth to tight end at all.
I think a guy like Jack Doyle is perfect to have one pretty much in your roster.
Before we go on to our next segment with JakeArthurColtz.com,
I want to tell our listeners really quickly about two sponsors today
that come from the Logged On Podcast Network.

Follow Locked On NFL now on your favorite
podcast provider. Let's transition
over to a player I think is getting a little slept on
as well. Maybe he's going earlier than some think, but I think he should go even higher right now.
That's Marlon Mack, the Colts running back. I know maybe PPR is going to change things. He's not much
of a catch footballer now, but if he does become slightly more increased in that category,
Jake, I think Marlon Mack's poised to break out this year as one of the Colts breakout players.
What do you think about Marlon Mack in the fantasy format? Absolutely.
I mean, if you prorate his numbers over last year,
then he's in RB1 territory.
I think it was going to be about 1,200 yards rushing,
and he had 10 touchdowns despite missing all those games.
So if you prorate his numbers over an actual whole fantasy season,
then he's someone that anyone would have taken within the first couple rounds.
So I'm kind of looking at that the same this year.
Right now he's at RB17, which might be a little low.
If the Colts' offensive line performs like it does last year,
then I think there's a pretty good chance he outperforms that,
especially if he scores touchdowns with the clip that he did last year. Because if you think about it, especially in the second half of the
season, it kind of turned into a two-man show at running back between him and Hines. And Mack was
the short yardage and goal line running back. So he got a lot of those touchdowns. So I definitely
think that's fair that he could outperform his current ranking.
Now, I saw this tweet yesterday from Evan Silva, and I wanted to mention this with you
as well because I just found it interesting.
It might be hard a little because the Colts are being so vanilla in preseason, but the
snap counts, Marlon Mack was on the field for all third downs in their fourth down conversion.
He's had 16 of the snaps in the Cobra set, and I am Heinz only two.
Do you think the Colts are setting up Marlon Mack, especially this year?
I noticed in person he's adding on some muscle mass, in my opinion.
Do you think he's set to be a bell cow this year in that kind of role?
I think we'll see some pretty similar things as to what we did last year.
I think they rode the hot hand a lot.
When Marlon was really on his game, he really didn't leave the field.
We saw Jordan Wilkins become almost nonexistent sometimes because of it.
I think no matter what, Naheem is going to have his role.
It may shrink if Marlon is hot in a game,
but I would expect it to be pretty similar to last year.
It's not going to be super predictable,
but I do think that Marlon is probably going to far and away
have the most touches on the team.
Yeah, I totally agree with you there, Jake.
I wanted to get your opinion as well on the topic of Naeem Hines.
How would you grade out Naeem Hines compared to, let's say, a Paris Campbell?
Because I know Campbell missing all his time with a hamstring injury.
They're probably being procrastinated for a reason
because Marlon Mack himself came
back a little too early last year from his injury.
How would you rank those two guys from a fantasy perspective?
Because I think they could have very similar roles this year.
I would totally agree with that.
I would have to give Hines the nod for a couple of reasons, just because we know what they
want to do with him.
We've seen him practice in camp this year and know he has a pretty significant role still.
We just haven't been able to see Parris involved much yet.
I think we have a good idea of how much they would use him if he would have been out there during camp.
You know, at the very least, I think he would have had Chester Rogers' level of involvement.
You know, Chester was out there very frequently, had several catches.
Parrish would probably be a little more involved if I had to guess.
But if I was going to rank those two, I would give the edge to Naheem just because, you
know, we see him get carries.
He's going to have a role as an actual running back.
We know he's going to get a ton of catches.
As a rookie, he had, I think, 60 or 63,
and you'd have to think that might expand in year two
because this is a coaching staff that's smart.
If they're facing a really good defensive front,
they're going to get the quick passes going to kind of negate that,
and that'll lead to more receptions for him. So I think if you're taking a safer bet between those
two, I'd have to give it to Hines. Let's transition over here to some wide receiver talk now, Jake,
from a fan's perspective. Let's go start off with T.Y. Hilton here. I think if we're looking at camp
so far, and you saw the video yesterday that Colts tweeted out, that insane catch he made in practice
over Curry Willis, I think T.Y. Hilton, fully healthy this time around with his ankle,
I think he's poised for a big breakout year with all the weapons surrounding him now.
No more double coverage, I think.
It's going to be really nice for him.
What's your expectations from a fantasy perspective for a guy like T.Y. Hilton?
So we've seen his receptions and yards.
They've been pretty consistent over the years.
He's usually somewhere between about 75 to 90 receptions and yards, they've been pretty consistent over the years. He's usually somewhere between about 75 to 90 receptions.
I think we can go ahead and put it
in ink that he's going to have probably over 1,200 yards
receiving. I'm interested to see the touchdowns.
I think all these other guys could lead to him having more
touchdowns this year
because his career high is seven.
You know, from a fantasy perspective,
I think that's one thing that keeps him from being in, you know,
the top one or two tiers is just the lack of touchdowns.
He gets his yard, and he's not one of those guys that catches over 100 balls.
So I think probably late second round, third round is fair for him fantasy-wise
until we see him broaden those statistics.
I do think this year adds up to him potentially doing just that, though,
because like you said, he's not going to be able to have all that attention
that he used to.
Teams have to focus on fun shifts.
And if Deion Kane is breaking out, Eric Ebron,
the Colts offense is just, if everyone's healthy,
they're going to be too potent to just focus on one guy.
And something that kind of came up today in Coach Reich's press conference
was if the run game is really humming,
then teams are going to drop another safety into the box.
There's going to be just a single high safety.
We know that TY confirmed that coverage all day.
So do we see him get 1,400, 1,500 yards,
which would be pretty high for him?
And do we see him get 10 touchdowns?
I think we're getting closer to those possibilities now because
camp shows he's not slowing down any time. He looks as good as he's ever looked.
So I would not put it past him to have a really elite fantasy season this year.
Let me ask you this, Jake. I've actually talked to some friends of mine. They're kind of split
on this as far as who they pick first. Let's say you're at pick 25 overall and they're both still
on the board. I know where I lean, but I want to get your thoughts on this.
If you were on the board at pick 25 and T.Y. Hilton and Marlon Mack were both there,
you know one will be there at your next pick.
Who would you take there?
I guess it depends what you've already got.
I think I'd be more inclined to say Marlon Max just because of the potential of what he could be.
You'd probably have him in your two starting running back slots each and every week.
Not that you wouldn't with T.Y., but I think there's less threatening Marlins touches than there is T.Y.'s.
I still think T.Y.'s going to have an absolutely excellent year, but just going to my head,
if I had to pick one of those two, I would probably go with Marlin Mack, just because
running back's also not quite as deep as wide receiver is.
Yeah, it's certainly a tough question. I think both are going to have some really good years
from a fantasy perspective, Jake, but let me ask you a couple more here on the fantasy topics.
I'd be remiss not to ask about Devin Funchess.
What's your expectations for him this year?
Because I think Eric Ebron's going to have another big year,
but I think one person who could take some of those red zone touches away from him
is a guy like Devin Funchess.
Because as we know, Jake, Andrew Luck loves those big body playmakers.
Devin Funchess seems like he's poised for a breakout year in this kind of system.
What's your expectations for Funchess?
Oh, he absolutely does.
I do expect him to probably have, if not his best statistical season,
it'd probably be pretty close.
I wouldn't be super surprised to see it be comparable to Ebron's,
not from a touchdown perspective, but just from a volume perspective.
Eric got very involved at times throughout the season.
And, I mean, we've seen Jacoby have good chemistry with Devin Funchess lately.
I think it's definitely grown from the spring to the summer.
But also in the few practices where Andrew was in there,
he made some throws to Funchess that, you know,
they were crisp throws. They were ones where really to Funchess that, you know, they were crisp throws.
They were ones where really only Funchess could make the play. So I really am not too concerned
about Andrew and Devin forming their chemistry. I think it'll get there once Andrew gets onto the
practice field and, you know, the bullets really start flying. I think Funchess should have his best season.
I mean, why not?
There's more mouths to feed, yes, but at the same time, nothing against Cam Newton,
but he's not the passer that Andrew Luck is.
He's just really not.
The precision and the accuracy and the touch at which Andrew can throw the ball,
it just leads to situations where receivers can win no matter the matchup.
You know what I mean?
And with a big-bodied guy who can win those 50-50 balls like Funchess,
Luck hasn't had that a lot in his career,
and now he's going to have a couple guys that can do it.
So from some perspective, I think Funchess should have career highs in at least a couple categories this year.
Moving over to the defensive side here, Jake, from a fantasy perspective,
I think the Colts are one of those sleeper defense that could really pop off this year,
be maybe a top five defense.
Turnovers, sacks with Justin Houston on the board, Kamoka Ture maybe breaking out a little bit.
Where would you rank this defense
as far as against the others
from a fantasy points perspective?
Yeah, so they're another one.
I've got them ranked above
what their kind of market ADP is.
They're about 16th right now on fantasy pros.
I've got them at 11th.
I just think the things you mentioned, I think they
were very stout last year. They didn't really get blown out. I think especially in the second half
of the season, guys really grew up. You've got additions like Justin Houston, which is going to
add sacks. At the very least, if not for him, it's going to free up the guys next to him because he requires attention.
If you've got a healthy Danico Autry for 16 games, I mean, he had nine sacks pretty much
all in the second half of the season. You've got more depth at corner. You've got more depth in
health at safety. You've definitely got more depth at linebacker. Just everywhere, they should be
better than last year, and they were already a pretty good defense last year.
It's a very opportunistic defense that wants to take the ball away.
I mean, we see them try to strip the ball on every tackle attempt,
and it led to a lot of forced fumbles last year.
And the zone coverage they play kind of allows for guys to make interceptions.
So from a pure fantasy perspective, I think when you add in the sacks and the takeaways
and all that, I do think they're every bit as worth of the 11th ranking I've got them.
Wouldn't be surprised if they outdo it.
But another thing is they did well last year, and I don't think they had any touchdowns
to their name scored, you know, no no return touchdowns or anything like that.
So that's something else we could see added because it seems kind of rare
for a team not to have any special teams or defensive touchdowns on a season.
So that's another factor that could probably go in their direction this year
because I don't see it happening twice.
One final one I got for you.
If you're listening out here, Jake's a goldmine right now.
If you're about to draft for fantasy and you got a lot of Colts questions,
he's answering an awful lot of them for you.
One more deep one I got for you.
As far as a 20-team league, for example,
do you like the aspects of Deion Kane and Malia Cox this year?
So that's tough um probably probably more so Deion Kane uh just because I I think his
path would be easier I think we saw a lot of things we like from Mo Alleycox last year
I think you only have like seven catches or something like that uh Deion Kane I think he's
got room to advance up the depth chart, whereas I think we know
the Colts are pretty settled at Jack Doyle and Eric Ebron.
I caught that clip with KV, Kevin Bowen,
where he said maybe his big prediction
was that Deion Kane makes his way up to the second receiver spot.
I don't think that's crazy.
I think it's possible.
At the very least, even if he doesn't hit that mark on the depth chart,
maybe that's what his volume or his snap share says, you know.
I think if he keeps developing and producing at the level that we've seen
in camp and just in the preseason,
I think they'll give him that opportunity to move up the depth chart.
So between those two, I would have both.
I think I'm a pretty rare fantasy guy that actually has Allie Cox in my rankings.
But I would say Deion Kane, I'd give him the edge if I had to pick between the two.
Yeah, that's certainly a deep cut there, but I think both maybe could break out
if you're in a deep 20-team league or something like that.
Maybe you could take a flyer on one of those two guys late if they're available.
Let's move on here to some –
All right, and if you're in a – I'm sorry, but I was going to say,
if you're in a dynasty league especially, go ahead and get Mo Alleycox
because pretty much everyone is a free agent for the Colts after this season.
So you never know.
Mo Allicox could be a starter.
If not here, somewhere else.
So especially if you're in a dynasty league, I would buy Mo Allicox.

Yeah, certainly I would do the same with Mo.
Actually, if we're letting the cat out of the bag here,
I'm in a 20-team league myself.
I actually have Deion Kane and Malia Cox on my team.
So here's something they break out a little bit for me this year.
But let's move on here, Jake, to our final segment of today's show,
which is reacting to some hot takes from the listeners out there.
I asked them last week to bring some in. They got an awful lot in for us. The first one's actually about the Colts
defense and Malik Hooker. It comes from Ken. He said, Malik Hooker
is an all-pro this year. Eight interceptions. I could see that.
Maybe all-pro, but eight interceptions. I feel like he's going to get tested a lot this year.
What do you think about that kind of take? I love
it, but I just think it's unlikely.
I don't even think he had the opportunity for eight interceptions last year
just because they didn't get tested that much downfield.
Now they will face much, much better quarterbacks this season,
which probably means more shots downfield.
So it's possible.
I could see the all-pro, like you said, but I think
eight interceptions is a little rich. And I don't even think that's a knock against him.
I just think it's a matter of opportunity. I think it's possible, but not likely.
Yeah, I think that's a little generous as far as the take goes. But I love it from the listeners
out there. Let me ask you another one here from BJ at 88th the goat on Twitter.
Marlon Mack leads the league in rushing yards.
If Zeke Elliott holds down to the season, Jake, maybe that's possible.
I love it.
I I'll double down on that.
I again, not likely.
It's hard to pick anyone to rush or to lead the league in rushing,
but I think it was a couple months ago,
someone on Twitter said
if there was going to be someone
to break 2,000 yards this year,
who would it be?
And just jokingly,
not necessarily jokingly,
but just entertaining the thought,
I threw Marlon out there.
And let's say the offensive line
is even just as good as last year.
You know, his numbers last year in the games that he actually played were great.
And it's not that far-fetched to add a couple huge games onto that.
It's been done before.
Now, mind you, you have to really be focused on running the ball.
And I think the Colts are going to pass it a lot more than those guys
who have rushed for huge numbers before.
But, I mean, if we're just talking about leading the league,
not some astronomical number like 2,000 yards,
if we're just talking about leading the league,
I absolutely think it's possible.
He's a fast guy who can break big runs.
He runs behind a good offensive line.
And his quarterback and the receivers and tight ends around him,
they make defenses be honest.
You know what I mean?
There's so much the Colts offense can do that you can't guard everything.
So I love that pick.
I'm going to go ahead again.
Not likely, but certainly possible.
Next one on the list here. I think this is another hot take
that you might enjoy, Jake.
Rakia Sin will make the Pro Bowl.
Oof.
Man.
I like
that, but I think the only
way that happens as a rookie is if he
has a ton of picks, which is possible
because you and I have seen him in camp. He's getting picks all the time.
The only issue is that
I don't know that he... I think he could be
in that third corner spot like we saw Quincy Wilson last year,
which is basically a starting spot, but it
kind of lacks the opportunity
like Pierre Desir and Kenny Moore will have.
I love it.
I think if he can have the takeaway numbers that he has proven to be capable of so far,
then maybe.
And I certainly think the quarterbacks and the teams that the Colts face,
it will put them on a huge stage.
And if we can see Rocky Finn picking off Patrick Mahomes, Drew Brees, Phillip Rivers, guys like that, it's going to turn heads and cause attention.
And there's not a ton of guys, cornerbacks right now, who everyone is like, yeah, that's the best in the league.
It's kind of a more wide open field right now.
So if it's going to happen for him as a rookie,
I think this would be the year, obviously as a rookie,
but this would be the year for it. I think that field is a little more wide open,
but he's going to have to have the takeaway numbers for it to happen.
I feel like the next one on the list here, Jake,
isn't actually that much of a hot take,
because I think there's a real chance of it happening if all goes well. From Eric Seaman,
the Colts will lead the league in sack differential. Sack differential being sacks
had versus sacks given up? Yeah. I like that. I like that. I think that's possible. A couple
reasons. Number one, Andrew was the least sacked quarterback last year, so we already know that part of it's possible.
The other part of it, obviously, you add Justin Houston, Kamoku Ture continues developing.
Let's say Ben Vanegook gives you anything that you would be hoping for from a day two guy. Jabal Sheard is good for, you know, five sacks a year.
Danico Autry and the guys in the middle, him, Tyquan Lewis,
they've got a really attacking defensive line,
very aggressive line with a lot of fast athletic guys
who will be capable of getting to the quarterback.
So I like that one.
Next one up here, Jake, on the list.
And I actually like this one.
I'm curious to hear what you think.
You said a hot take here.
This might be a negative one a little bit,
but he said this is from DrPig4 on Twitter.
Due to all the extra weapons,
Eric Ebron only has five touchdowns this year.
No, I'll pass on that one.
It's hot because I like the realism of it.
I feel like they're trying to be realistic,
but I just think he's too dangerous of a weapon,
not even just in the red zone. You know, we, we,
we saw him have some longer touchdowns. Um,
so I think he's a mismatch problem, especially out of the slot.
If they put him in man coverage, I don't know.
Five is a little low.
Maybe he doesn't get to 10, but I don't think it's as low as five.
Yeah, I think if anything, I think his low total might be seven or eight this year.
He's going to be such a focal point in the red zone.
He's already called himself.
I know Rick Venturi's on the broadcast, Mr. Red Zone.
I think that might stick for him moving forward.
Next one on the list, though, for me, this is over on Reddit now, Jake,
from ColtsFanGMF. The wide receivers will have more touchdown catches than their
tight ends, which I actually really like that one.
Okay. Yeah, I
think adding Devin Funchess definitely helps that. I think the Colts receivers
are much deeper this year than they were last year. Paris Campbell contributes to that. Deion Kane contributes to
that. Funchess is here. Chester Rogers ain't bad himself. Let's say Zach Paschal makes it. He's
been dependable. Much, much deeper group this year than this time last year. So I like it. I'll take
that one. Final three here on the list, Jake. Thanks like it. I'll take that one.
Final three here on the list, Jake.
Thanks again for coming on and doing this one.
Darius Leonard, 180 tackles and defensive player of the year this year.
So they're pretty much saying he's going to do everything he did last year and more.
I'm not going to doubt him.
I'll give that to him.
That's the last guy I want to doubt.
And plus, he was one of my big draft hits.
So he's pretty much forever got my undying loyalty.
I won't put anything past him.
This one might be a little hot from Jar1517.
This is George Bremmer's guy, too.
We were talking about Mall Camp when I was there.
EJ Speed wins Rookie of the Year.
Oof, that one's real rich.
I don't see it happening.
I like EJ Speed a lot.
I think he has a role with the team.
I think he'll probably eventually be a starter,
but I don't see it happening.
He's got enough guys on the Colts just to compete for rookie of the year list.
Unfortunately, I'm not going to say
he won't make some plays or be productive,
but I don't know about rookie of the year.
Yeah, that's certainly Rich for sure.
And let me ask you this one, another really interesting one on the list here.
Andrew Luck throws for 50-plus touchdowns.
This is assuming, of course, he plays all 16 games,
but what do you think about that one?
Well, it's only been done a couple times.
I don't know i just i think the colts will have more of an emphasis on the run this year
uh i think all the ingredients are there for it but just as deep as the colts are with their
pass catchers that opens up things in the run game as well. So I think they're going to – I don't think they're going to be like a run-heavy team,
but I think they'll do it enough to where that's just not going to materialize.
Last one on the list for you, Jake.
Danico Autry has more sacks than Justin Houston.
I'll take that one.
I think they'll both be very productive.
I think Houston will be very productive.
I think he'll probably be worth every penny they've spent.
But Autry is just scratching the surface.
You know, healthy, we saw him be dominant.
And he can move around from defensive tackle to defensive end.
I think teams are going to key in on Houston.
Houston and Autry line up together a lot of the time.
So the attention that Houston commands will open up things for Autry
and so on and so forth.
And he's just a tough assignment for big interior linemen to deal with.
He's long, strong, fast.
Like, he's not got the common, you know,
athletic build and attributes that they see from defensive tackles very often.
So I would buy that one.
I like it.
All right, Jake, before I let you go,
I'd be remiss not to ask about this as well.
You were talking to Frank Reg today.
What's the expectation for the starters on Saturday against Chicago?
It sounds like maybe not many play.
Yeah, it pretty much sounds like not many, if any,
starters will be playing on Saturday.
They're just, you know, looking.
That's just how the league is going,
just kind of looking to the health of their players.
There's some guys, it looks like T.Y. Hilton
probably won't take a snap in the preseason.
We've seen guys in the NFL before who are like, they're guys
who just, they're notorious for never playing in the preseason.
Adrian Peterson used to never play in the preseason.
It's not 100% necessary, I think,
if they're comfortable with what those guys accomplished in practice.
But, yeah, I just – I don't think we're going to see anyone really Saturday.
If we do, maybe it's not like the really entrenched guys.
Maybe it's some of the – you know, they're starters,
but they're not Darius Leonard.
You know what I mean?
So I would not expect to see very many, if any, starters on Saturday.
