Hey guys, Jake Arthur from Locked On Colts here. Wanted to share with you the results of our recent Locked On NFL mock draft that we did. But before we get to the Colts selection at number four, I'll set the stage here for you for how things shook out. Really to no surprise, the Carolina Panthers went with Bryce Young at pick number one. I think we're all fairly confident that's what's going to happen in reality on Thursday night. Next up by the Houston Texans, C.J. Stroud. That one is a little bit of a surprise given what we've talked about on Locked On Colts lately. Number three, Arizona Cardinals take Alabama Edge defender Will Anderson.

That one, not too much of a shocker, obviously. If the Cardinals can't move that pick, they're really in position to take the best player available. So without further ado, I bring you the Locked On Colts pick number four in the Locked On NFL Mock Draft. It is time to get off the quarterback carousel with the fourth overall pick in the Locked On NFL Mock Draft. The Indianapolis Colts select quarterback Anthony Richardson out of Florida. with the fourth overall pick in the Locked On NFL Mock Draft, the Indianapolis Colts select quarterback Anthony Richardson out of Florida. Since 2019, the Colts have been riding this roller coaster of trying to recover from the Andrew Luck retirement, and it's mostly gone the way of just washed-up veterans.

They finally get a young, fresh face of the franchise. They can pair Richardson with new offensive-minded head coach Shane Steichen to hopefully give them a positive future for the next decade plus. This is most likely going to be the pick in reality as well, as long as no one jumps the Colts. He fits very well with what Steichen likes to do. He's obviously a superb athlete, had a perfect relative athletic score through the combine. He's known as being a little more of a raw passer,

which 13 career starts, of course, but there's a little more nuance to his game than people realize as well. What this guy really needs is experience. And I think Steichen can formulate a game plan to get this guy ready to play right away. Maybe rely on that athleticism a little bit until they can develop him a little more as a starter. If you look at Philadelphia and what Steichen and Nick Sirianni did with Jalen Hurts over these first couple years, I think that is a good blueprint for what the Colts could do with Richardson.
