German of Locked on Browns, Kevin Ostryger of Locked on Ravens, Mike Debate of Locked
on Patriots, and Aaron Freeman of Locked on Falcons. Gentlemen, I appreciate all of you
coming through and obviously the main story this week is of course the Super Bowl but the main story that's being talked about while we wait for the main story to
arrive is Miles Garrett Spencer German. Let's start with you host of Lockdown Browns. I for
one am a fan of your take but let's let's what does this mean for Miles what does this mean for
the Cleveland Browns? You know it's funny I know a couple of you guys are down in New Orleans for the Super Bowl, but I felt like this was the closest the
Browns fans have probably ever felt to like dominating Super Bowl week,
like, oh, the Browns never actually come to actually playing in it.
So it's really for all the wrong reasons. But yeah, you know, I, I,
I've kind of been in the camp of as long as Miles Garrah wants to be part of this thing,
I think you do sort of try to thread the needle on staying competitive, not ripping it down to the
studs. But as soon as this trade request comes out and it's like, hey, I want out, I don't want to be
part of this anymore. I think that kind of provides the clarity that you're looking for if you're the
Browns for like, you don't have to operate in this limbo of are we a team that's close to contending
or are we a team that needs to start all over?
I think this kind of just tells you, yeah, rip off the bandaid and,
and accumulates,
made draft picks as possible and start worrying about the draft in 2025 and 2026
and getting this thing back on track as soon as you can.
Yeah. And I think, you know,
there's some conversations being had about this where some people think this is,
uh, yet another demand to be traded because
I actually just want to be paid a lot of money. Kevin Ostricher locked on Ravens. I want to
get your thoughts on that because man, when I look at this, not only did Miles come out and say,
I want to be traded. He said, I want to go win a championship, which I don't think there's a lot
of people here that think that Cleveland Browns in their current construction are on the cusp of
winning a championship, but also he used the Gion's own saying, Cleveland to Canton against him in his
statement to me that that kind of indicates that this is not about money.
What are your thoughts?
No, I completely agree.
And usually when we do see situations like this, I mean, I went through this a
couple of years ago over on Lockdown Ravens with Lamar Jackson where Lamar
ended up putting a trade request on social media.
Obviously that was due to a contract. And we see a lot of these situations where it's like, okay, I'm going to
use this as leverage so that I can get more money from a team. This clearly is not the motivation
here for Miles Garrett. And with this coming out and everything of that sort, it's almost like with
Cleveland, well now if you don't trade him at this point, is he just going to leave when his contract
is up and you get that third round comp pick?
I mean, this could be a generational haul
for the Cleveland Browns that really Spencer,
as you said, like this forces them to choose a direction,
which I don't think is the worst thing in the world
for an organization that's been in limbo about like,
okay, we made the Deshaun Watson move.
It was a huge failure on multiple fronts.
Now we have to kind of pivot away,
but how far do we pivot away?
If they move off of Miles Garrett,
it gives them a reason to say, all right,
let's just use this top five pick we have
on a player that we know can be good for our future,
but it doesn't have to be the situation
where you have to rush that guy into a huge situation early.
I think that it's not great to lose
a franchise-defining player like this and have it kind of go the way that it's not great to lose a franchise defining player like this and have it
kind of go the way that it has because as you mentioned David, with the whole-
Ask the Mavericks.
...Cleveland Wolf. Yeah. That's a whole other situation where it seems to be-
That trade feels like it was like months ago for me.
I know, right?
I know. I can't even tell you, but I want to- Spencer, it's interesting with that whole
Luka thing and now with this Cleveland thing,
both sides, Dallas fans and Cleveland fans,
the whole trade thing with Luka comes out
and all these Dallas fans are saddled with Luka,
saddled with the Lakers, like, okay.
With Cleveland, it feels like Miles Garrett
has the straight request, and Cleveland fans are like,
yeah, okay, we don't really blame you.
It makes sense based off of what we're writing.
Is that kind of the mood right now?
Yeah, no, I mean, there was actually a news story done this morning on a group of people we don't really blame you. Like it makes sense based off of the direct, is that kind of the mood right now?
Yeah, no, I mean, there was actually a news story
done this morning on like a group of people
who like gather around the stadium.
I think it was yesterday after the request came out
or maybe it was this morning, either way.
And they were like all wearing Miles Garrah jerseys
and they were like burning Deshaun Watson jerseys
because they were like, this is where we're at.
Which is funny because like Cleveland has a history
of burning jerseys of the player
that leaves.
LeBron James at one point in time, but they were not burning the jersey of
the player that's leaving potentially.
They were burning the jersey of the guy who came here.
But yeah, none of the fans that I've heard from or
any of the reactions I've seen, none of them are blaming Miles Garrett for this.
They all kind of understand why he, where he's coming from.
And they understand the organization are the ones that kind of dropped the ball
here and failed him and have been wasting obviously his prime years.
And I agree with you too, Kevin, like, you know, I think Miles Garrett,
if this was only about the contract dispute, I think he could have left it at
what he said leading into week 16 where he was basically like, yeah, you know,
I want to be a Brown, but you know, I want to be a brown but you know, I thought about playing somewhere else if our goals don't align at the end of the off season when we have those conversations.
And so that was to me kind of like the okay, you got to get him a new contract and kind of put this to bed. This is like an escalation. This is like I'm going out with a public statement and saying I want to win I want to go to a contender. And so that's why I think it's, it's different. Like you alluded to.
Yeah.
And Ross Jackson locked on saying the last question on his, on this topic
really is a two parter.
So one given, given anything we've talked about and Spencer's idea that you
got to strip this thing down, you know, I know at least one fan base in the
nation's capital wants to involve a player in a potential trade, uh name of John Allen. Send John Allen to Cleveland along with a pick or
two or three or whatever is going to take to bring Miles Garrett. But if you're
tripping this thing down to the nuts and bolts, I don't think you want to bring
on a 30 plus year old defensive tackle. So what approach do you think the
Cleveland Browns need to take when seeking out this this trade or that
they're not apparently going to seek out, but they're going to seek out. And
do you have a top team in mind that you think if you're Miles Garrett and your goal is winning a championship that you want to land on?
Yeah, I mean, I think you're about to watch a pair of them this weekend, right?
I mean, if there's the opportunity to land on one of the two teams
that's been in the Super Bowl at least twice in the last three years,
and those are the ones that you're probably looking to prioritize.
But there's going to be a lot of opportunities for him to potentially find places to land on a contender. But we've seen this over and over again in the NFL three years, and those are the ones that you're probably looking to prioritize. But there's gonna be a lot of opportunities
for him to potentially find places to land on a contender.
But we've seen this over and over again in the NFL as well.
I mean, we watched Gerald McCoy leave
and say he wanted to go to a contender
and he signed with the Carolina Panthers.
Like we see this kind of stuff all the time
where people will say, oh yeah, we wanna go to a contender,
we wanna do this, and then they sign with some middling team
somewhere or they get traded to some middling team somewhere.
So the biggest thing is gonna be
if he ends up getting traded, Miles Garrett,
are the Cleveland Browns incentivized in any way
to do him any favors in terms of saying like,
yeah, okay, you push yourself out.
We're gonna send you somewhere
where you're gonna be able to win.
Do they really wanna do that?
Unless he has a no trade clause or anything,
which Spencer would know, I don't know if he does.
No, he does not know. I don't know if he does.
No, he does not know.
Yeah. So the team kind of has all the leverage here. And this is one of the reasons why we
see a lot of trade requests never actually come to fruition is because teams are going
to take the best value. And I think that to your first question, what is it that the Cleveland
Browns need to do? They need to not feel like they owe Miles Garrett anything. And they
need to take, if they do decide to move them, take a deal that's going to give
them exactly what Spencer said, the draft picks that they want, all those other pieces.
They need to be able to land the draft capital, the future, whatever it is, that allows them
to be able to embrace where they are right now, but have the building blocks to rebuild
in the future.
So I would do Miles Garrett no favors and I I would do every favor that I can and take the
best trade offer that's out there.
And by that, straight into the Baltimore Ravens in the division
just one.
I thought I said that.
But like,
I'm sending them to like a team that feels like they have their
quarterback already, but might not but then is willing to say you know what we got the quarterback and that quarterback's on a rookie contract and so we have the opportunity to be able to send some stuff so a Detroit spot or like a New England or something like that like that's where I'm sitting I'm not worried about sending them to a contender.
Yeah, absolutely right now I'm worried about everybody welcoming Tony Wiggins.
Speaking of not contending.
Yeah, you know what?
That's like one elephant telling the other one he stinks.
You know what I'm saying?
So it's great timing, you.
Oh, God. It was great timing because. Oh God.
It was great timing because wig and I actually just got done recording the uh, Wednesday afternoon episode of locked on NFL where we talked a little bit
about miles Garibald. We also talked about Cooper cup and we're going to talk
more about Cooper cup here on this week's episode of NFL squad part of

Rolling forward now this week's episode of NFL squad and we're talking about the big storylines of the week,
which of course are not surrounding the Super Bowl because there's a reason that
the NFL is a 24 7 business. There's always something going
on. Our group of squad mates here today mentioned the trade
in the NBA from including Dallas and Los Angeles, but
there's another trade coming out of Los Angeles or involving
Los Angeles where Wider Zero Cooper Cup is reportedly going
to be shipped off fairly soon. And that report coming from a Cooper cup himself,
took social media and say the Rams told me they're looking to trade me
immediately. I think that's, that's kind of where I want to start here. Actually,
I want to start clear work locked on Broncos that that word, like, like to me,
that word kind of stood out. Is there, I don't know,
am I making too much of that word being in that part of that process? And what did you think of the overall
statement and some of the you know, I love L. A. I always wanted to be here. I
was thinking in the end. But by the way, I'm coming for all of it. Like bringing
all the smoke to you. I love that. I mean, Cooper Cup. When you look at him,
this is a guy who's been underestimated his whole story like, you know, really
scrawny in high school, put in a lot of work, you know, goes and plays at Eastern Washington
all of a sudden, you know, writes a historic career for himself here in the National Football
League.
I mean, just a few years ago, he had 145 catches on 197 targets.
You want to talk about volume?
Man, I'm sure he was every fancy football player's wet dream a few years ago there,
right?
For me, I look at him.
Brought to you by him.
I don't know what the hell y'all got going on there and see I might leave now.
I might get out of here now, man.
The next thing somebody gonna pull out a bottle of baby oil.
I ain't got time for all of that foolishness.
That was such a crazy drop.
I love it.
I tell you that.
Honestly, Cody, I love that you like powered through too.
Like you just said it.
You just kept going.
You thought we were going away with that.
No, I already got some, I got something going on here as it pertains to the Broncos and
Cooper cup.
Don't, you know, don't worry.
I ain't finished yet, but the number one thing about Cooper cup is that like, this is a guy
who, okay, yes, he's had, you know, the latest injury he's been really dealing with has been
high ankle sprains.
I look at, you know at situational components there.
Okay. You play in turf, you play indoors. That factors in what is your training staff,
strength and conditioning staff like Cooper Cup can go to another environment and easily thrive.
And he's still got a lot to put in the tank. And look, is he going to be a number one receiver
for a lot of teams at this point? I mean, you know, the team that is looking for another reliable
option, that could definitely be the case here. I think Denver is a team to consider here because of the fat Horton sons on a, you know,
the final year of his deal in 2025.
But he also just adds another dynamic where Denver, if you watch that playoff game against
Buffalo, they had a lot of drops by their receivers.
Cooper Cubs are sure handed guy.
He's reliable.
He's a chain mover.
He could be exactly what he act like.
Bo Nix needs, or even Jayden Daniels in
Washington could use a guy like him opposite of Terry McLaurin. I mean,
there's so many different fits and pieces for Cooper to go.
I love the mentality Cooper cup has given so much to LA.
I think LA is approaching a rebuild.
It kind of feels like that based on where things are heading,
if they're going to offset one of their top receivers.
Yeah. Aaron Freeman, locked on Falcons.
I want to ask you the part that the biggest hang up for me, cause there are some commanders fans who were, Aaron Freeman, a lot on Falcons. I want to ask you the part that the biggest hang up for me
because there are some commanders fans who are kind of
Cody's rallying for maybe the Broncos make this move.
There are some commanders fans who are curious and interested
in the commander's getting in that conversation and adding
Cooper Cup to Terry McLaurin and Luke McCaffrey and then
seeing where this whole thing goes from there.
My hang up there, man, is the $20 million
salary cap that you're adding to your roster. If you make this
trade right now, and then it's like 22 plus million the next
year, and I know that there's ways to tack on more years and
void years and all this other stuff and turn bonuses in or
base salary into bonuses and stretch it out. But the end of
the day, man, you're still looking at a $40 million price
tag for Cooper Cup at this stage in his career.
If you felt like as a GM, that's a steep price tag to pay, but this dude might help us get
over the top.
Do you make, do you think that a GM should take that offer or take that chance?
If you're talking about a day three pick and exchange?
Yeah, I think so.
I think if you're a team in that position, you know, I think the big concerns you're
talking about is the money that you're paying
Cooper Cup, as well as the age and injury history. And, you know, you could probably go into next season thinking, oh, we might only
get like 12 games out of Cooper Cup based off of the last couple of years. But the 12 games you're going to get from Cooper Cup
are going to be 12 very valuable games, especially if you're a team that's looking for sort of that complimentary number two wide
receiver that can do all the kind of dirty work that Cooper cup has been known to do.
And so I think for, you know,
probably several teams that won't be playing this weekend. Um, but you know,
teams that are looking for that last little push over the hump and looking for
another playmaker and feeling like, Hey, you know,
we got a window that is not necessarily, you know,
the next five years or something like that.
And it's really just one or two years.
I think it's worthwhile to make that trade,
to make that investment, and be willing to pay that premium
in salary cap dollars when you can sort of undercut that a little bit
with draft capital, where if I'm only giving up a fifth round pick for Cooper
Cup, I don't mind paying $20 million in salary cap at this stage because
you know, as I all the salary cap is a lie baby, you know,
to be 0.5. The Rams are supposed to eat some of his stuff.
That's my guy. So there you go. It's one of those things where like, that makes it a little
bit easier. That makes a little bit easier.
Yeah, none of his and none of his salary in 2026 is guaranteed either guarantee. It's
all non guaranteed.aranteed.
All the rest of the money is bonus.
There's a lot of ways to work these numbers.
Ross Jackson's very familiar with teams trying to work.
The cap's a lot, baby.
Browns too.
Other things.
Browns too.
We know.
Yeah, Spencer and I could give you all a master class if you want.
I could talk to you about void years for the next hour.
Head cap, look, all three of us right
now. We're in a great position. We are, we all relate to that. I want to see Ross and then we'll
work that out this year though. I know the cap ain't real. Okay. It's going to be easy.
They'll restructure five young guys and then be under the salary cap ready to spend money.
Like we've, we've been down this road already, like $52 million over the salary cap in New Orleans, a small potatoes when they were $111 million a couple of years ago and signed a $100 million cap ready to spend money like we've we've been down this road already like $52 million over the salary cap in New Orleans to small potatoes when they were $111 million a couple years ago and signed a $40 million a year quarterback in the same offseason.
I remember that. They'll figure it out. That's actually Mike debate locks on Patreon. So we have all this conversation about Cooper Cup and it's worth the risk and you can work the numbers so you shouldn't be scared away by them. Who in the NFL in your mind is the team that needs to take that role to Dyson bring him in?
Well, if you wanted me to be a homer, I'm going to say the New England Patriots. I think right now they are the team that has the
cap space available. They don't have to do any kind of creative work to the cap to be able to work those numbers in 120
million in excess is what they're going to be working with. So they can automatically bring him in.
Now I know there's concerns about his injuries and I know that he's played 12
games the last couple of seasons and then nine the game before that.
But if you also look at the Patriots conditioning staff,
the way Cody and Ross may have mentioned that earlier, bringing him in,
allowing him to grow with a young quarterback like Drake May.
And also I think it's worth mentioning that he is perfectly suited to work for Josh McDaniels in that
offense. If he's not going to be working with Sean McVeigh, Josh McDaniels is the ideal offensive coordinator to be
able to maximize what Cooper Cup can do well. So the only question is, is Cooper going to want to come to New
England? Is he going to want to spend a year or possibly even two helping this team build? Because they're still a
long ways away. The Patriots are not one player or two players away from automatically contending. Stranger things have
always happened. I mean, there's anything can happen in a year in the NFL, but the Patriots need a lot of work. Is Cooper
going to be able to use that time wisely and build with a young quarterback. If he's willing to do it,
Patriots absolutely have to make this call
and try to make this happen.
If he's not, it takes them out of the running
before they even get off the ground.
Cooper Cup is Julian Edelman, Chris Hogan,
and Danny Amendola in a taller body combined.
So, Josh, we can get results from that.
But did he play a Call of the Cross?
Did he play Call of the Cross?
Ooh, great question.
See, that's a great point, Spencer.
This is a really weird position for me to be in.
The Patriots leading the league in all this cap space, I'm used to the Belichickian method,
you know, pulling cashiers from Walmart out of the line and, you know, the Rutgers lacrosse
guys that get chances with Bill Belichick and he turns them into superstars.
Now, the Patriots, if they're gonna bring in Cooper Cup,
they're gonna have to pay.
And they're gonna have to maybe overpay in that regard.
They also have a good amount of draft capital.
So that's something to consider,
but do the Patriots over invest in draft capital
when they really need a lot of those draft picks
to be able to rebuild.
That's going to be the big task
of the Patriots front office right now.
Guys like Elliot Wolf and Ryan Cowden coming in helping out
Mike Raible. They got a lot of decisions to make in that front
office. Alright, so what I'm hearing is Cooper Cup to New
England and Miles Garrett's either Philadelphia or Kansas
City but oh no or Baltimore. Either of those teams can make
that move. They've got to handle their business on Sunday
coming up this weekend and would take home the Lombardi from Super Bowl 59.

around the corner. Philadelphia Eagles, Kansas City Chiefs
duking it out. It's the matchup you all wanted to match up. You
all asked for it's the matchup the entire country voted to
want to see. Yes, Cody see yes Cody work I'm joking
the Chiefs are favored by one and a half points to beat the Philadelphia Eagles in
the big game the over under is 48.5 points and we're gonna hit we're gonna
hit a couple of prop bets and then we're gonna hit some predictions Tony Williams
locked on Jags I want to ask you this either team to get seven or more sacks in this game plus
7500 odds on Fandl.
What do you think?
No, I don't think anybody's gonna get those kind of sacks because both
quarterbacks you might have them and then they run away from you.
So there's no way I'm not I'm gonna bet that somebody's gonna get sacks on guys
that aren't statues.
I don't believe that's gonna happen.
I think it's gonna be a limited possession game
because I think Philadelphia is gonna make sure, and therefore,
and you know what?
Kansas City, they realize their limitations on their offensive line.
They're not gonna sit back there all day
because they know they can't do it.
They've been getting that ball out of their hands real quick,
and my home is like Houdini.
So, yeah, I'm gonna go against that seven and a half.
All right, we've got a it's funny actually,
because we're in the media workroom here in New Orleans.
And this is what the actual if you can see this,
this is what the actual media workroom looks like.
Rush Jackson.
Yes, this is the actual video.
A good view of some guys sitting there waving his hands
like an idiot.
The game on the television though, is the Super Bowl that was dueled out between
Nick Foles and Tom Brady.
So this is a great prop bet for this moment.
Either quarterback to record a catch in this game from another player plus
1400 since Cody and Spencer are cheating and answering and now so is Kevin.
I'm gonna go to Aaron Freeman, Lockdown Falcons.
What's your answer on that?
Sure, let's go for it.
You know, let's get a Philly special.
Devante Smith to Jalen Hurts.
Let's do it.
You know, I like it.
Yeah, plus 1400.
It's like, that's worth those odds to take it,
to take the yes, to do the overall, Alan.
It's worth it to take it,
but isn't the Philly special now just the tush push, isn't that just what the Philly special?
Yeah.
That's their signature play at this point.
You don't want all that gimmicky stuff.
They just get behind the center and plow ahead with the corner.
You know, doesn't require much skill, they say these days,
apparently, to do that.
The Philly not so special, I guess you could call it.
I don't know.
Where's Peter Bukowski when you need him?
Come on, Mark Murphy.
Paul, let's talk about the Philly special, guys. I'm sorry. I'm not familiar with that term. I on, Mark Murphy. He said talk about the Philly special guys. I'm sorry.
I'm not familiar with that term.
I've completely blocked. Yeah,
Mike's like I think I'm breaking
up my internet. Yeah,
unfortunate. Sorry guys.
Mike debates. We will stick with
you there, buddy. I want to ask
you Patrick Holmes, Jalen
Hertz, two starting
quarterbacks in this game
combining for six plus passing and receiving touchdowns since we're gonna throw that in there, plus 320 odds, which
I feel like it should be actually a little bit higher. But what do you what do you think? What
do you think about that possibility? It's tough to say because both of these teams are coming in
here have to be having, in my opinion, been carried on their defense for a good amount of the year,
but you know these games always feature an amazing amount of offense.
I'm going to say, yeah, I'm going to say that these two
quarterbacks come out and they show out.
I think Patrick Mahomes understands
the gravity of this game.
He's been there before.
He's done that.
I've seen this so many times before with Tom Brady,
where people would say he's going to come in
and he's not going to have a game.
And he'll go out and he'll give you the game of his life.
I think Patrick is ready to do that. And I think Jalen is up to the task too
So I'm looking forward to seeing some offense on Sunday. Yeah, I'm gonna say yes, I do believe that they'll make that
All right, Cody works logs on Broncos the most anticipated Super Bowl matchup of this weekend
Who do you have winning and who is your MVP prediction?
Yeah, I'm gonna to go with Philadelphia.
I have the Eagles winning this one.
I think it's going to be a close game.
I think it's really going to come down to the final two minutes here.
I got Saquon Barkley winning MVP because you know, you go back to their first matchup.
They had a couple of years ago.
Jalen hurts played incredible in that game.
And you know, I think Jalen is going to be a big part of this game plan.
But what they didn't have then that they have now is they have a Saquon Barkley who
has just been on an incredible tear and look, the guy just got engaged.
So there's some extra mojo behind what he's got going on,
has a chance to get two rings here this week.
And for him to go from the New York Giants to the Philadelphia Eagles and
to see this type of success, it's a great story for the NFL and
it paints a bigger picture as to hey, maybe if you will need to change environments, it's not necessarily a bad thing
We're just talking about miles Garrett Cooper Cup. It could work out for these guys if they end up elsewhere also
So I got Saquon winning
I think he's gonna have three rushing touchdowns in this game and he's gonna obviously take home the MVP is the Eagles win the Super Bowl
Locked on Kellen Moore host Ross Jackson
New Orleans native.
Do the New Orleans Saints get to hire a Super Bowl winning offensive
coordinator this weekend or well not this weekend but Monday morning?
No, I think it's going to be the Kansas City Chiefs.
They're going to get this three Pete.
I think it's going to happen.
I'll be very excited to see it.
I think that's the way that that I'm going to go
with it, but I will say this New Orleans should win the
Super Bowl at least once every five years because we just do
it better than everybody else. That's all.
Well, we'll go from that to a franchise and unfortunately
doesn't know what that's like Spencer German locked on
Browns. I need your prediction and MVP Canada as well. Yeah.
So my my heart tells me to
go with the Eagles. That's why I want to see win, but I picked against the Chiefs in the ASU
Championship game and I don't make the same mistake twice in a row. So I like for some reason that
team just always I mean honestly like Mike you're very familiar with this like everybody tried so
hard to write off Brady and the Patriots every day wanted to be the first one to the take of like
this is the year they fall off and they don't
get it done.
And I tried to do that with the Chiefs this year and it backfired on my face.
Patrick Mahomes is that version of Tom Brady where it's just like when he's out there,
when he's on the field, two minutes to go, you know he's going to find a way to get it
done.
So I got to take the Chiefs even though it pains me to say it.
And I guess for MVP, I mean, Patrick Maht Holmes the easy answer because I'm sure that generally goes to a
quarterback but oh I'll give Cleveland some love and say Kareem Hunt wins it.
Scores a couple touchdowns there you go. There you go. Kevin Ostrich locked on
Ravens I need your Super Bowl prediction buddy but I also need your league MVP
award winner. Oh geez. I'm glad you picked me for this one.
I know why you did it too.
I'm gonna go Philadelphia.
I will make it a tie two to two.
So maybe David, you can be the tiebreaker
and pick the actual winner
for the Lockdown Squad show here today.
I'm gonna go Philly just because I think
their roster is more balanced out.
And for Kansas City, that challenge
of stopping Saquon Barkley, it's daunting for any team.
And I just feel like with the way that Jalen Hurts has been talked about this
season and what he has done again, this has been like the Saquon Barkley show
across the entire league for Philadelphia.
But what Jalen Hurts has done, it's not as impressive as Saquon, but
I think that this is like the Jalen Hurts.
Hey, I'm still a really good quarterback by the way, game. And people are saying, wait a second, is this the Jalen Hurts. Hey, I'm still a really good quarterback by the way, game.
And people are saying, wait a second,
is this the Jalen Hurts we saw a couple of years ago
showing up for this big moment?
I remember after the Eagles lost the Super Bowl
to Kansas City a couple of years ago,
how devastated he was.
And you could tell, I mean,
in this press conference after he could barely speak,
he was so upset about it.
And I feel like him and this entire Eagles team,
I'm gonna use that for motivation. But again, motivation can't be the only thing that can get you over the
Kansas City Chiefs' hump because that team has been there, they've done that. This is
just another walk in the park for the Chiefs, just another Sunday for Kansas City going
in the Super Bowl. So I'm going to say Eagles win it, but my league MVP candidate, to me
it is Lamar Jackson. It is, and it's nothing against Josh Allen.
I feel kind of rusty talking about these takes
because I've kind of put it in the rear view mirror.
But to me, Josh had an incredible year,
Lamar had an incredible year.
I know the arguments for Josh Allen
is that the Bills were the two seed,
the Ravens were the three seed,
the Bills had one more win than the Ravens did.
And I think that that does ca
not saying it doesn't, bu
Lamar had over Josh this
had signature moments. Jo
run against Kansas City o
Lamar finished out the se
strong, whereas Josh Allen
the Patriots, it was not
a moment where he maybe c have wrapped up that award.
So this is not going to be unanimous.
Both guys are going to get votes and they deservedly will get votes.
But I also don't think the narrative should be we're going to give Josh Allen the award
because he doesn't have.
I think that's been what I've seen a couple of times here.
Give the award to the guy that deserves it.
If it was Josh, I would say, hey, give that award to Josh on.
I think Josh will be an MVP in the future.
I just think this year I'm going to say a little more.
Hey, David, can I give my MVP pick real quick?
I mean, you are the boss, so yes.
Sure.
Oh, yeah, I guess that's fair.
Hey, David, I'm going to give my MVP pick real quick.
I took the Kansas City Chiefs with the Super Bowl,
so my Super Bowl MVP is going to be Ron Torbert.
That's the way that I'm going to go with it.
I think it's all officiating.
It's all officiating, baby. There's too I'm going to go with it. I think it's all officiating. It's all officiating baby. There's too
much.
Travis, stop talking about those officials, you know?
Yeah, that's what I was saying. There's too much officiating
talk around the Super Bowl week and reading radio row and all
this other stuff. So far this week leading up for that not to
be an absolutely catastrophic game by the officials. It's
suspicious.
The wildest timeline is the Chiefs to have no penalties.
The Eagles get no penalties the entire game
until the last two minutes.
And it's a game all for recall.
And that's like, there's nothing for the entire game.
Are there any petty odds on that?
Can we bet on that?
Yeah, right.
So I have a locked on commander's insider
who has a bold prediction for the Super Bowl the for homes that will give the chiefs an untimed down. However, the homes gets injured and Carson Wentz comes in
and throws a game winning touchdown.
Oh my God.
I would beat the Eagles.
That would be wild.
Retire Carson Wentz's jersey immediately.
You about to Tony out with that one.
If that happens, I might retire.
So I will be the tiebreaker actually.
I wasn't going to, I will be the tiebreaker
since Friday, the upcoming. So Ross Jackson knows Jackson knows why I have a very specific reason. I don't want the Kansas City Chiefs to win this Super Bowl
This weekend. However, I also know that he will be in attendance and the opportunity to witness the first NFL team in history to winning
Back to back to back Super Bowls is a very valuable moment
So out of my loyalty and no, I'm not sucking up even though you're gonna say I am to Ross Jackson
I hope that he gets to witness it. So I'm gonna pick the Kansas City Chiefs. Yeah, you sucked up
That's what you did
I'm gonna pick I'm gonna choose to win the game that gets to bracket a Kendrick Lamar concert here in New Orleans
Good on good job. Good job. Good job sucking up David
Talk to somebody real quick. Sorry. Thank you for bringing me to the moral and sir.
Can I say something? Of course. Of course. Don't say anything.
Cause Courtney really could say that comment.
That comment didn't almost take me out.
The fact that my meds are kicking in that almost took me out.
We all might lose our job if I stay on here too long.
Spencer, I'm going to tell you something, you knew man,
don't you let them intimidate you.
If you have any problems, you call me,
but if you have any technical problems,
you better not call me.
You might as well get your pet dog to fix that
because I can't help you.
All right, I've been taking a lot of notes
this first month, so I'm making that note.
If I need defending, if I'm in a dark alley,
I got Tony on my side.
If it's anything technical, I don't need Tony.
You got it.
That's right.
So here we go.
I think what we're gonna have is a passing of the torch.
And that passing of the torch is going to come
from Chris Jones to Jalen Carter.
Jalen Carter is gonna get two stacks and dominate this game,
especially if they have to move Joe Tooney outside, they're gonna have a problem.
I do believe that it's going to be a limited possession game.
I think that kid is gonna absolutely dominate in front of a guy who I think is
in the gold category for defensive tackles.
I'm going with the Philadelphia Eagles to win this game.
Now, Vic Fangio, he started out three and
all against Andy Reid as a coordinator.
He's now three and nine.
He's lost like nine in a row or eight in a row.
So I think all streets come to an end and I think he finally has all of these players.
And I just don't see anybody on the Eagles that I can point to and say,
I don't think they're gonna have a good game.
I think the corners are gonna have a good game.
I think CJ Gardner Johnson is gonna have a good game.
I think the tackles are gonna have a good game.
I think their offensive line is really, really good.
Both of their receivers, they're tight in the running back.
I just don't see where one of those guys is gonna come in
at his game and not deliver.
I think it's gonna be close,
but I think they're gonna pull it off.
Great, so now we're tied and out of time.
Yeah, now we're tied again.
So, real quick, I need you to make a prediction.
I'm going Chalk Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes, MVP. All right, Chiefs win. need you to make a prediction. I'm going chalk chiefs packing my home's MVP.
All right.
Chiefs win.
Thank you everybody for joining.
Why does it wait?
Why does it ask Mike too?
Because Mike, Mike, the only one is only making a tie.
They can only make a prediction if it's chiefs.
All right.
That's what I thought.
