Locked On Titans - Daily Podcast On The Tennessee Titans - MOCK DRAFT: Tennessee Titans Free Agency Points to David Bailey OVER Jeremiyah Love in First Round
Episode Date: March 15, 2026SEVEN ROUND MOCK DRAFT: The Tennessee Titans have made it through one week of NFL Free Agency and right now things point to David Bailey as the Titans first pick in the NFL Draft over fan favorite Jer...emiyah Love. Love is a dynamic playmaker, but with historical precedent and roster needs taken into account, Bailey seems like the choice of Love. Calvin Ridley got a restructured deal over the weekend, but even with that, the Titans still need to attack the wide receiver position on Day 2 of the NFL Draft, but they also need to keep an eye on the interior offensive line after not making many upgrades there and having multiple spots open. Finally, Day 3 of the draft is simply about throwing darts and seeing if you can find some starters and that's exactly what the plan should be and taking a chance on high upside players is the way to do it. My feelings haven't changed.
I still think the Tennessee Titans prefer David Bailey over Jeremiah Love in the first round,
and I'll show you what it would look like with a seven-round mock draft on today's edition of Locked-on Titans.
You are Locked-on Titans, your daily Tennessee Titans podcast, part of the Locked-on Podcast Network, your team every day.
Welcome to the Locked on Titans podcast.
I am your host, Tyler Rowland, Titans.
Titans fans. Today's edition of the Locked on Titans podcast is brought to you by Fandall.
Fandall is giving you a way to turn your college basketball energy into even bigger potential wins with a college basketball parlay profit boost.
Head to Fandle.com to get started on today's show. We are going to do a seven-round mock draft that is guided by the fact that I still believe the Tennessee Titans would prefer David Bailey over Jeremiah Love in the first round and I think week one
of free agency points me even further in that direction.
Also, we'll talk about Calvin Ridley's contract restructure
and why I don't think that should prevent the Titans
from attacking wide receiver early in the draft.
And we gotta talk about some day three depth
that has a lot of upside for the Tennessee Titans.
Before we get into all of it, do wanna thank you
for making Locked on Titans, your first listen each and every day.
Remember, Monday through Friday, Tennessee Titans content

Tune in Monday through Friday.
Couldn't do it without you guys.
If you aren't an everydayer,
what are you doing?
We got week two of free agency ahead.
The draft right around the corner
about to dive deep into draft content.
Make sure that you stay locked in
with the number one Tennessee Titans podcast in the world.
Locked on Titans.
But with that being said, again,
if you listen closely
to what I have said since January,
then you would know that my preference
for the Tennessee Titans remains to take an edge rusher.
Now, I have Rvel Reese as my number one edge in the draft
and my number one player in the draft.
I have Ruben Bain as my number two edge rusher in the NFL draft.
Reese or Bain would be my preference,
even over Jeremiah Love.
Now, I realize that the entire fan base at this,
point has fallen in love with Jeremiah Love.
And we're at a point now that's honestly frustrating for me as someone who's very
open-minded to the possibilities for the Titans in the NFL draft.
There are a lot of outcomes I wouldn't be upset about.
But it seems like at least being in the trenches with you guys all the time
that Titans fans are kind of in a Jeremiah Love or bust mode.
And I just think that pigeonholing yourself into if they don't take this player,
I'm going to be disappointed.
is just not the way to approach this particular draft.
There are too many possibilities,
too many chances that the Titans could take on different things,
too many avenues the Titans could go down.
I don't think it's wise to be,
it's Jeremiah Love or bust.
And quite frankly, I don't think that that's how the Tennessee Titans think.
And as I said in January,
just like I told you,
I prefer Edge over Jeremiah Love,
even though I would be happy with Jeremiah Love,
just like I told you in January as well,
I believe that the Tennessee Titans actually
prefer David Bailey. He's my number three edge and I have significant concerns that will discuss.
But the reality is, I think that's what the Titans like. And again, my preference versus what I
think their preferences are two different discussions entirely. The reality here is that David
Bailey fits perfectly with the Tennessee Titans defensive front. And when you look at what
positions have been filled by the Titans, what types of players that they have on the roster,
especially at edge right now, the lack of movement with Tony Pollard and his contract,
the fact the Titans don't have that pure speed rusher that we talked about late last week.
I think signs point to David Bailey, in my opinion.
Again, 6 foot 3, 250 pounds.
He's got 33 and 3 quarter inch arm.
So he's got the length that the Tennessee Titans are looking for on the edge.
He has incredible speed, incredible get-off,
the line of scrimmage. He literally bursts off the line of scrimmage more than anybody else in the class.
It is an elite trait for him. His pass rush arsenal is very developed. He's got speed to power.
He's got a ghost move. He's got some dips, some cross chops, things like that.
Like he is a very well-rounded pass rusher with a bunch of different moves that he can go to in a bunch of different pitches that he could throw.
And let's just call it what it is. Some people make things too simplistic, in my opinion,
the college level and just look at production, look at production, look at production.
Well, Tim Tebow wasn't a great quarterback in the NFL.
Trent Richardson wasn't a great running back in the NFL.
College production doesn't always translate to NFL success.
It's not that easy if it were.
The Heisman Trophy winner would get drafted number one every single year.
It's just not that easy.
The NFL draft is not that simple.
But David Bailey is off the charts in terms of production.
He's the most productive rusher in college football last year,
14 and a half sacks, great pressure rate.
Like, if you want somebody who has traits, somebody who has production,
it's hard to look past David Bailey.
Now, we come to the concerns.
He doesn't have the requisite bend that I would want from an edge,
the ankle flexion.
He's not really able to dip underneath offensive tackles.
Think about the way that Harold Landry was able to beat people.
He would go real fast off the edge.
He dipped that inside shoulder,
underneath the office. He'd look like a motorcycle when they're taking a tight corner.
You know what I mean? Literally bend in and lower and down.
And David Bailey just doesn't quite have the elite bend.
Like, I think that Ruben Bain, as a 270-pound guy, actually has better bend than a guy like
David Bailey, who I jokingly call the 10-man.
I am not as high on David Bailey as consensus, but again, separating my feelings from the others.
Drake is my favorite rapper of all time.
I think Jay-Z is the best rapper of all time.
separate what your favorite is versus what they might want and what the general consensus is.
And I do think that the Titans will have David Bailey ranked higher than Ruben Bain,
even if I like Ruben Bain better. But outside of the bend issue, which I think could limit how
he takes advantage of his speed, not great in run defense, although there were improvements.
And as a backside guy, he's not going to be great at setting the edge.
But when you have Femiola-Dazio, you have Jermaine Johnson, who can be your strong, powerful edges.
If you have David Bailey coming from the back side trying to chase guys down,
he can do that with his speed as get off his length.
He's a good tackler.
So I think there is a place for David Bailey.
And early on, you can have Femmy and Jermaine Johnson
as your starting edge rushers on early downs.
And then when it's time to pass rush,
you go with Jermaine Johnson or Femmy in one spot.
You have Simmons and John Franklin Myers on the inside.
And then you have David Bailey as your pure speed rusher
who can play the Bryce Huff rule,
who could play the Will McDonald role in Robert Salah's defense.
So I'm coming around to the fit on things.
I see how with what the Titans have done now,
Bailey does fit as that speed rusher.
He is a little light in his frame underneath,
but I saw David Bailey in person at the NFL Combine,
and quite frankly, he's bigger than I expected him to be.
So I'm less worried about the frame at 250 pounds.
He could put on another 10 pounds of muscle mass,
be 260 pounds, not lose any of the speed.
Again, I know that the fan base loves Jeremiah Love at this point,
and a lot of people are going to be angry about me even saying this
because they want Jeremiah Love so bad.
I would love to have Jeremiah Love on the Titans.
If the Tennessee Titans pick Jeremiah Love number one in the draft,
or number four, but with their first pick,
I am going to be happy about that.
I'm going to celebrate with you guys.
That's an explosive playmaker that can help Cam Ward,
that can line up in the backfield, that can line up outside.
This is not hating on Jeremiah Love.
It is simply my read of what the Tennessee Titans are going to do.
Mike Borgonzi comes from the Kansas City Chiefs.
They never spent big on running back.
Now, they did this year with Kenneth Walker.
So maybe that's an example of the tide changing,
and that would have Mike Borgonzi also change with that tide.
But the reality is Borgonzi is someone who is very acutely aware
of roster building trends, I guess.
And the reality is that spending big at running back
has not been very fruitful to Super Bowl champions over the last 15 to 16 years.
I think Mike Borganzi is very aware of what percentage of cap space
you can spend at certain spots and what's the smartest way to go.
And at the end of the day, the people that make the argument that taking a running back in the top five
is not a smart use of resources when building a roster,
that sort of thought process may win out here and they may go with a premium position
that gives them better value on a contract for the next four years.
You take a running back that high in the NFL draft.
You're not getting any savings on the top right.
Your running back is already one of the top paid running backs in the NFL.
You get a good edge rusher that high in the draft
based on what those rookies make on their contract.
You're getting an incredible value based on $30 to $40 million for the top edge rusher.
So I still would be happy with Jeremiah Love.
But again, in this mock draft that we're doing,
pick number four for the Titans first round,
I think that if it goes Mendoza,
Reese Bain like it did for me, the pick would be David Bailey.
That's who I think the Titans prefer.
But with that being said, if the Titans do go David Bailey with their first round pick,
what happens after?
Well, again, just because Calvin Ridley got a contract extension doesn't mean that the Titans
shouldn't neglect the wide receiver position.

Fans, let's continue today's mock draft edition
of the Locked on Titans podcast.
We talked about the Tennessee.
Titans first round pick and why I believe that they would favor David Bailey over Jeremiah
Love and quite frankly over Ruben Bain as well. But now we need to get into day two where I think
the Tennessee Titans need to attack some big positions of need on the offensive side of the
ball after spending a lot of resources on defense in free agency and the first round. Before we
dive in, thanks again for making Locked on Titans. Your first listen. I want to remind you guys

But with that being said,
we move to the second round of the draft.
We take David Bailey,
number four overall in the draft, but what comes next?
For me, at number 35, I have to take a wide receiver
and I'm going with Chris Brasel from Tennessee, 6 foot 4, 6 foot 5,
198, 200 pounds,
ran a 4.3740 yard dash size speed demon.
And to go along with the size and the speed,
which is absolutely incredible,
there is more route running ability
than we typically have seen from Tennessee.
wide receivers under Josh Heiple.
Hypole's offense is, and Valls fans, some Vals fans who don't know ball,
get really mad at me when I say it.
Tennessee has a bit of a Mickey Mouse offense.
It's kind of a gadget offense.
It's, you know, smoke and mirrors.
It doesn't really translate to the NFL level when a lot of wide receivers from Tennessee
have had trouble transitioning to the NFL because the offense that Hyple runs is just not similar
to what they do in the NFL.
but I will tell you this.
I think that Chris Brazzal is different.
I've seen him sink his hips on outbreaking routes.
I see him get to the sideline with ease.
I see him stack and get past wide receivers down the field.
I mean, he just does a lot of things
that other Tennessee wide receivers haven't typically done.
And they allowed him to run routes at Tennessee
that a lot of other receivers were not allowed to run.
So where you have a Jalen Hyatt, for example,
who literally cannot,
run routes. Like, I think
Brazah was different. I think
watching him move out there, a guy his size,
his speed to run the routes and
sink his hips and break out the way that
he does. Now that needs to improve.
It's not absolutely perfect. You know,
this isn't Randy Moss out there
reborn. But I think when you add
Wondell Robinson, you have
Chim DK, you have Calvin Ridley
back now after the contract restructure.
You have ELEC I-O manner. You need
another big-bodied wide receiver and
I-O just does not have the
speed and the downfield threat that Brazzle does.
So he needs to get better at using his size as well though.
I can be where I'm a little overly impressed sometimes with his route running ability.
I'm a little under impressed sometimes with how he uses his size.
He needs to be more physical with the catch point.
Only a 40% contested catch rate.
That is not good enough for a guy as big and strong as he should be.
He needs to be better not being moved off of his routes,
winning at the line of scrimmage against press.
Now he has pretty good release packages.
Again, he moves his feet very well for a guy his size,
but being able to throttle down,
he's good on outroutes,
but he's not as good when he's got to stop and come back to the quarterback.
So there are areas of improvement,
but at pick number 35, I just could not pass.
You know, Blake Miller,
offensive tackle from Clemson was there.
Chase Basantis, the guard from Texas A&M,
Emmanuel Pregoon, the guard from Oregon,
Malachi Lawrence, another edge rusher.
Maybe you double up there.
Chris Johnson, Zion Long,
R. Mason Thomas, some guys on the defensive side of the...
At wide receiver could have Denzel Boston.
I know a lot of guys have Denzel Boston over Chris Brazel,
but I'm sorry.
To me, Denzel Boston gives me Keon-Colman vibes.
I would rather take a chance on an elite-size-speed guy
and potentially, you know, could have a T. Higgins type.
And that's what I would be looking for in a guy like Chris Brazel.
I always say Brazell.
on it, Volz fans, I'm working on it.
Jeremy Bernard was there, but I just want a guy with some sort of elite trait available,
and that's why I went with Brasel.
And here's the thing.
Again, we saw Calvin Ridley get a contract restructure over the weekend.
We don't have the exact details on that.
But here's the thing with Calvin Ridley.
I want Calvin Ridley around.
I've been talking about it for the last few weeks now at this point,
why would they cut him?
And now that he's going to be cheaper for the Titans,
it makes all the sense in the world to cut him.
But Calvin Ridley doesn't fill the void
that a guy like Chris Brasel would fill.
They don't have similar skill sets.
They don't have similar body types.
And the truth with Calvin Ridley at this point is
he isn't a number one wide receiver.
He's probably a low to mid-end number two at best.
Something you could even view him as a wide receiver 3
and I wouldn't argue with you on that fact
that that might be where he's at right now.
So you can't let
bring in Wondell Robinson at 5.5.
foot 8 for $17.5 million a year. Restructuring Calvin Ridley, who's a two, three at this
point in his career, stop you from being very aggressive with going after a wide receiver.
Like, that just shouldn't be where you're at if you're the Tennessee Titans. So I went with
Chris Brasel. If you would prefer Denzel Boston, let me know down below in the comments that that's
the direction that you should go. But starting out David Bailey, Chris Brasel, I think that is
an excellent start for the Tennessee Titans. But again, they need to continue to attack
on the offensive side of the football,
and at the end of the day,
it's time to go into the trenches.
I got the pick number 66 in the third round for the Titans,
and hey, we passed on Jeremiah Love.
Should I go with a running back?
Emmett Johnson from Nebraska, I like a lot.
Gerardian Price, Jonah Coleman.
Should we go to the offensive line?
Caleb Tiernan from Northwester.
Our Mason Thomas was still there as a backup to David Bailey
as a pure speed rusher.
Maybe that makes some sense.
I just couldn't double up the edge.
Maybe they go to cornerback.
I know they added three cornerbacks in free agency,
but they still need a young quarterback to develop.
Josh Williams is nothing more than a special team's depth piece at this time.
Alante Taylor is going to play inside.
I think Marcus Harris is more of an inside guy or a backup to Cordell Flot.
They need to develop another starting outside corner.
Julian Neal, Will Lee,
Igbenosin from Ohio State.
Malik Mohamed fits the profile.
Maybe they want to go linebacker since they didn't get a linebacker.
Jake Gold Day from Cincinnati.
still there. But
again, I had to go back to offense.
And I had to go back to the offensive line
because right now the Titans don't have
a starting center in my opinion. Maybe they go
with Slater, maybe they go with
Schloteman, but they don't have Kevin
Zitler back quite yet.
So if I'm the Titans, and even if
they bring Kevin Zitler back, develop
Jackson Slater
at center, and then use this guy
to develop back guard. I went
with Key Lawn Rutledge.
The guy out of Georgia Tech 6 foot 3, 313 pounds, so good size, 33 and 3 quarter arms.
That's absolutely critical, good length on the inside.
He has great size and incredible athletic testing numbers.
The 40-yard dash, the 3-cone, the short shuttle, all elite, elite numbers.
And a lot of draft trends and a lot of analytics suggest if you look at short shuttle, 3-cone.
The short area agility numbers are incredibly predictive for success on the interior offensive line
and for offensive line in general.
Not only that, but Rutledge is a versatile guy who can block in different run schemes.
He's not just a zone guy.
He's not just a gap guy.
He can do everything which in Brian Dable's multi-run scheme system,
he's going to be asked to do power, to pull, to kick out.
He's going to be asked to run zone, combo blocks,
get up to the second level.
And with his athleticism and with his size,
he gives you the best of all of those worlds.
And he is a tough player.
He's going to finish, play to the whistle,
be hard-nosed.
And that's the kind of guy that fits
with what the Tennessee Titans are doing in their run game.
Now, a lot of my problems with Rutledge are just technique things.
His hands can get too wide.
He can be a little too upright.
He can get his feet caught up.
Like, all of those things are coachable.
So give me a guy with great size, great length,
great athleticism, great toughness, versatility scheme-wise,
and we will coach up the technique, get his hands in the right spot,
get his feet wide, make sure that his stance isn't too upright,
make sure that he keeps a good center of gravity.
Like, we will handle all of those things.
So if you go and you get David Bailey, Chris Brasel, and Keelan Rutledge,
I think that is an incredible three-round start for the Tennessee Titans.
And then you look for high-upside depth
on day three of the NFL draft
and we're going to talk about what that looks like right now.

And let's continue today's seven round mock draft after the first week of free agency.
Again, we talked about why I think the Tennessee Titans prefer David Bailey over Jeremiah
Love in the first round.
We attacked wide receiver with Chris Brasel.
We attacked Interior offensive line with Keelan Rutledge.
Now we got to go to day three of the NFL draft where the Tennessee Titans have six
different picks and need to focus on high upside depth.
before I tell you who I went after.

But as we head to Day 3.3,
of the draft with a pass rusher, a wide receiver,
an offensive lineman.
Pick number 101 to kick things off on day three,
I had to go for cornerback.
I told you guys that I still believe the Titans need to take another cornerback.
You can never have too many cornerbacks.
Josh Williams is a guy who it would be awesome
if he developed into a pure blood starter.
But you can't count on that.
He played 17 snaps last year.
He's mostly a special teams guy,
right now. You need to get somebody to develop to be your other outside cornerback opposite
of Cordell Flot with Alante Taylor being able to play outside and base, but a nickel,
Alante Taylor probably needs to play inside in the slot. That's why I went with Ticario Davis,
the cornerback out of Washington. He's 6 foot 3.7, so almost 6 foot 4,
194 pounds, can add 5 pounds of muscle to get to 200. He's got 33 and a third inch arms,
so he matches the length and he matches the speed with a 4.414 yard dash.
Speed and length is what the Titans have been talking about.
At the cornerback position, he's only 21.7 years old, so not even 22 years old yet.
He is a freak athlete.
That size, that speed, the testing numbers, 37-inch vertical jump.
Like that is exactly what you're looking for.
With that size and that speed, he's able to jam.
at the line of scrimmage.
He's got great ball skills
because he uses his length at the catch point.
He can close windows down in zone.
And listen, his issues are when you're that tall, that high,
you struggle to mirror guys in man coverage.
Your hips don't sink as low to stay with the end breaking routes
and things like that.
You want to use your length so maybe you could be a little bit grabby.
But to me, that sounds like Tyreek Wollin.
Richard Sherman coming out of college.
Those guys weren't great at mirroring man coverage either
because that's not what they're going to be asked to do.
The Titans are going to ask Takario Davis to play boundary cornerback
and to go backwards with cover three and cover four.
He's not going to have to play a ton of match man coverage
where he's got a mirror guys going inside.
They're going to play a ton of zone.
So if you have somebody who can just shut down the boundary,
run vertical, use their length and speed
to stop the vertical routes down the sideline,
Use the ability to sink the hips in cover 4 when there's an outbreak and corner route,
get underneath it and get an interception.
Ball skills, length, speed, physicality at the line of scrimmage.
Takario Davis checks all the boxes of what the Titans should be looking for.
Now, the draft, or free agency did affect me a little bit
because I might have gone with a cornerback at pick number three for the Titans.
I might have gone with Julie and Neil, Will Lee, Davis, Davison,
Big Nosen, Malik Muhammad.
I might have going with something like that.
I was looking for a guy like Devin Moore as well,
who I like a lot out of Florida,
who could be a guy like this in this range.
But at the end of the day, I waited until day three
because the Titans signed three different cornerbacks.
But just like we talked about with wide receiver,
just because you sign Wondell Robinson,
you restructure Calvin Ridley,
even if they were to bring in a guy like Joanne Johnson
still in free agency,
I would still want them to go get Chris Brasel
because they need to develop their own star-wide receivers,
not just, you know, bank on free agents.
And I feel the same about cornerback here.
You can never have enough cornerbacks.
The Titans let Daryl Baker Jr. go.
All they have right now is the three guys they've signed,
Taylor, who's more of a slot, flot, and Josh Williams,
who you can't count on to be any kind of starter,
with Marcus Harris and Micah Robinson.
They are far from out of the weeds at cornerback.
So at Ticario Davis right here to start the fourth round,
I think that would be an excellent move,
and he is a perfect fit for what the Titans are trying to find at cornerback.
But then we are double dipping on the offensive line.
I went with Jake Slaughter, the Florida out of center,
who is a very underrated player.
Tough nose, hard mentality, can play different types of schemes,
is athletic enough, but he's powerful, man.
I think Jake Slaughter could come in and immediately start at center
if the Titans hit that right.
I went with Markell Bell,
who was just a massive offensive.
tackle from Miami. Six foot seven, three 30, huge dude, mountain of a man. Let's develop him
behind Dan Moore and has some depth at offensive tackle. He worked for Cam Ward in college.
He can work for Cam Ward now. The Titans are already going after big bodied offensive
lineman. Brian Daible and Carmen Bracillo on the offensive line. The offensive line coach,
they like big, they like strength. Let's go get one of the bigger, stronger offensive
tackles in the entire NFL draft and develop him and see what happens. Yes, he's not in
credibly fleet of foot athlete, but he moves pretty good for a guy his size.
So everybody wants to talk about the trenches.
I get a lot of people like, how can you neglect the O line, blah, blah, blah.
Well, I'm not.
We went with a guard with their third round pick.
We went with a center and an offensive tackle.
Mike Borgonzi last year said, we need weapons for Cam Ward.
We're going to throw a bunch of resources at it on day three of the draft.
They went and got Chim D.K., Alec Akeyo Manor, Gunner Helm.
This is my version of that.
We need to start developing offensive line depth.
And Mike Borgonzi says, all right,
we got our big spots of need.
We got edge, we got cornerback,
we got wide receiver.
There's our three big premium positions we needed coming into the off season.
We got a potential starter at our biggest remaining need for a starter
at the guard position on the interior offensive line.
Now we're throwing a bunch of our depth resources
at the position that we need to stack out next.
And that is the offensive line,
especially with, I don't know that Dan Moore's going to be around after this year.
Let's start developing some offensive tackles behind him.
Then we get to the fifth round, 184.
I went with Lander Barton, who is Cody Barton's little brother.
The Titans have not cut Cody Barton yet,
so why not get his little brother who has some of the same qualities
that Cody Barton does, but is younger.
He's 6'4, 230 pounds, 32 and a half inch arms with an 80-inch wingspan.
We have heard from Robert Sala about how important length and speed is
at the linebacker position because they play a lot of zone
and their middle linebacker has to be able to close down the windows in the zone.
You need to be able to get your arms and your hands in the way.
So let's let Landerbarten come in, play special teams,
learn behind his brother, and maybe take over for his brother eventually.
I think that would be a very interesting choice for the Titans again.
wingspan to close down windows over the middle of the field,
got good speed as well.
At 6.4.2.30, like his older brother,
he has to get off blocks better.
He's not going to be the most physical guy triggering downhill.
But when you have a guy like Cedric Gray,
who looks like a star for the Titans who does those things,
let's get a coverage-centric linebacker who can use that length
to close those windows.
I think Lander Barton at linebacker would be a great choice
for the Titans at 188.
I mean, we're talking about a dart throw at this point
with one of the last three picks the Titans have in the draft.
Then I did go to the running back well.
I took Levyon Moss, the running back in a Texas A&M.
I have been very upfront all season long.
The Titans need a power runner that's good in short yardage.
Tony Pollard stays in this scenario.
Tage Spears stays in this scenario.
They're both terrible in short yardage.
That's what Levy on Moss does his best.
5 foot 11, 203 pounds. Compact, very physical runner.
Get downhill. Very tough. Picking up short yardage, which is what the Titans need.
He doesn't have home run speed. He doesn't have home run wiggle and all of that.
So he's just a depth player right now.
But I think that a guy like Levi-on-Moss, if he stays healthy,
he's very good at picking up blitzers and pass pro.
He's someone who could be a third down back for the Titans when they know that they got a pickup pressure.
He's not great out of the backfield catching the football.
but he's going to be a willing guy to pick up a blitzer
if you know that you're going against a heavy blitz defense.
Levion Moss can be that power runner in the short-yardage situations
and he's a guy who I think
could turn into a lot better running back than where he's drafted
and next year him, Taj Spears together,
then the Titans can maybe go all out for a running back type.
That would make some sense.
So in this mock draft where they don't take love early,
they do come back on day three and get a runner
who does fit that short-yardage need.
that the Titans are looking for, and then him and Kelo Mullings can battle it out for that spot on the depth chart.
And I didn't go get Brian Robinson in this mock offseason either, so they still need that role filled.
But with that being said, my final pick might be my favorite pick of day three.
It's Dazon Stribling from Old Miss, 6'2, 207 pounds, 4.36, 40-yard dash, size, speed.
He's going to be good on special teams.
He's got incredible yards after catchability.
really good tracking the ball down the field, which is important for Cam Ward.
He has great hands.
The dude does not drop the football.
Incredible speed, and he is a physical and willing blocker.
So he can play on special teams.
He can turn into an incredible deep ball.
I think this guy is a major sleeper.
He needs a bit of a route technique, needs to get better releases at the line of scrimmage.
But we're talking about a guy pick 225 in the seventh round.
I don't think Deson Shribling will actually last that long when we get to the NFL draft
because that size, speed, and physicality combination,
that's going to play in scout rooms and for general managers.
That's a guy who can play on special teams right away,
does a lot of really good things,
let a good wide receiver coach coach him up on technique.
Give me to Zon Stribling.
So for the full mock draft,
for the Titans coming out of free agency,
we went David Bailey, the speed rusher, number one.
We went Chris Brasel, number two.
Keelon Rutledge, the guard out of Georgia Tech, number three,
long, physical, fast, cornerback, Ticario Davis,
number four. Jake Slaughter, the underrated center out of Florida, Florida with our fifth pick.
Markell Bell, the big hulking mountain of a man with our sixth pick, offensive tackle out of Miami.
Lander Barton, Barton, Maw, the short yardage, tough physical runner out of Texas A&M
with our sixth round pick and then our seventh round pick, Dizahn Stribbling, the fast, speedy,
but also big, versatile weapon out of Ole Miss.
I would love this mock draft for the Titans.
let me know how you would grade this mock draft,
what picks you would have made differently.
That's going to do it for me today though, folks.
As always, I am your host, Tyler Rowland,
and this was Locked on Titans.
