Locked On Titans - Daily Podcast On The Tennessee Titans - REPORT: TENNESSEE TITANS COULD LOSE JEREMIYAH LOVE TO ARIZONA CARDINALS & THE THREAT IS VERY REAL
Episode Date: April 20, 2026The Tennessee Titans need to brace themselves for the possibility that Jeremiyah Love is not even on the board when they pick after numerous reports came out on Monday morning saying the Arizona Cardi...nals are set to take Jeremiyah Love at three. Many Titans fans are dead-set on taking Love at pick four and if he isn't even there it could have folks reeling. Now, many won't believe these reports and choose to call it a smokescreen, but Tyler thinks this is very real for multiple reason. First, the Cardinals owner, Michael Bidwell, would 100% force a draft pick. Two, teams are not likely to TRADE UP for a running back. Three, the Cardinals are just as "ready" for a running back as the Titans are, maybe even more so. With all that, Titans fans who want Love need to protect their hearts as we kick off draft week. Brace yourselves Tennessee Titans fans because the Titans might not even get a shot to draft Jeremiah Love in the first round.
I'll break down all the big news on today's edition of Locked on Titans.
You are Locked on Titans, your daily Tennessee Titans podcast, part of the Locked on podcast network, your team every day.
Welcome to the Locked on Titans podcast.
I am your host, Tyler Rowland Titans fans.
today's show. We got big time new reports as we enter into NFL draft week about Jeremiah
Love and the Arizona Cardinals being very interested, which could give the chance that the
Titans don't even get to draft Jeremiah Love. We'll talk about why I believe that noise. Is it a
smoke screen? Is it not again? I believe it. We'll dive into all of it before we do. Do want to thank
you for making Locked on Titans. Your first listen each and every day. Remember, Monday through
Friday. Tennessee Titans content all year round, always for free. Make sure that you get

guys. If you aren't an everydayer, you need to be one. The draft is just a couple of days away.
If you want to be as informed as possible leading up to the NFL draft, and then as informed as
possible coming out of the NFL draft on all the new players that the Tennessee Titans selected,
Again, make sure that you stay locked in with the number one Tennessee Titans
podcast in the world locked on Titans.
But with that being said, big time reports coming out of NFL draft media
as we head into draft week.
And the biggest one coming out on Monday morning is that the Arizona Cardinals
actually love Jeremiah Love and that they are set to take him at number three
if they don't trade out.
That's something that Adam Shepter came out with on ESPN.
Todd McShay also saying the same thing that he's hearing
the Arizona Cardinals.
What Jeremiah Love,
and I know a lot of Titans fans are going to be like,
oh my God, I don't want them to take love.
Why would they take love?
It's smoke screen.
There's a lot of different things that it could be attributed to.
But quite frankly, I believe that the Arizona Cardinals do like Jeremiah Love.
And I believe that the Arizona Cardinals would take
Jeremiah Love at number three.
Number one, is it smokescreen?
I just don't buy that it's smokescreen.
I don't believe that NFL general managers are going to be lining up to trade up in the
NFL draft.
It's one thing to take a running back that high in the NFL draft.
But to also trade multiple picks to move up for Jeremiah Love, I think that that is,
that is just not going to happen.
So if you're sitting here telling me, oh, I think it's just smoke screen.
the Arizona Cardinals are just trying to get somebody to trade up for Jeremiah Love.
Like, I'm sorry, I simply do not buy that.
I don't think that that's the route.
If somebody trades up with Arizona at number three,
it's going to be for David Bailey.
It's going to be for Arvel Reese.
It's not going to be for Jeremiah Love.
Nobody's going to trade up for Jeremiah Love, in my opinion.
So the smokescreen angle just, I don't buy that.
I personally don't buy that it's a smoke screen from the Cardinals
to try to get a trade up.
If they're trying to get somebody to trade up,
then David Bailey is the one that they're going to be pumping.
We like David Bailey, we're going to take David Bailey,
we're going to take Arvel Reese.
Those are the guys that are going to get somebody to move up
to get one of the best pass rushers in the NFL draft.
So I buy the report because I don't believe that it's smokescreen.
Now, that is my read of would somebody actually trade up
for Jeremiah Love?
But the other side of this is ownership interference.
The way that you guys talk about Amy Adams Strunk
is how I feel about people like Jerry Jones, Michael Bidwell, and David Tepper.
Like those are owners that truly do metal in the football decision-making.
Like those are guys who actually would force a draft pick by one of their general managers,
by their scouting staff.
Like, that's somebody that would actually do that.
Is Michael Bidwell from the Cardinals?
So I personally believe that the owner would force the Cardinals to take Jeremiah Love at number three
because that's who he wants, which means that I do believe this from the media.
And Todd McShay, also in his reporting, said that he's heard that there is a powerful voice.
there's a powerful voice in Arizona
that is pushing for them to draft Jeremiah Love.
You know who that powerful voice is going to be?
It's going to be Michael Bidwell, the owner.
So those two factors together,
I don't believe that this is a smokescreen for Jeremiah Love
because I don't believe that the Cardinals truly believe
someone would trade up for Jeremiah Love
and I also think that the owner could force the pick.
Now, my tinfoil hat theory on the Carly
Cardinals situation is that Monty Austinfort, their general manager,
doesn't want to take Jeremiah Love.
That's something that the owner wants to do.
He doesn't want to take Jeremiah Love.
What Monty Austin Fort wants to do is avoid taking Jeremiah Love at number three
and trade down is the best way to do it.
That's the best way for the Cardinals to avoid having the owner interfere
in their draft is to find a trade down.
So that's what I think.
I think the Cardinals are pushing so hard for a trade down
because they don't want to have to take Jeremiah Love.
And if they stick and pick at number three,
the owner's going to make them take Jeremiah Love.
They want pass rusher.
They want offensive line is what they really want.
And all of the reporting has said
that the Cardinals desperately want to trade down.
Well, why?
Again, I think it's because they don't want the owner to force them
to take Jeremiah love.
It all lines up for me.
I just do not believe, I do not believe
that this is a smokescreen
because I don't think anyone would trade up for love
and I think the owner truly would interfere and force a pick.
So with that, I actually do believe this.
And there's a lot of people out there who are saying,
well, the Cardinals have Tyler Algier,
the Cardinals have James Connor.
They're not going to take a running back.
Well, quite frankly, you could use those same exact
arguments against the Tennessee Titans. The Cardinals and the Titans are in a very similar situation.
And let's talk about why I think that's the case. Matt Derry here from the Lockdown Lions podcast.
You know, life insurance is one of those things. You don't really think about until you have a
reason to. For me, it really hit home when my father passed away over 20 years ago.

Let's continue today's edition of the Locked on Titans podcast.
Again, talking about all the big buzz that came out on Monday morning,
the Arizona Cardinals, like Jeremiah Love, I am buying that.
I do not think that it's smokescreen.
Again, I just explain why I don't think it's smokescreen.
But another big reason why I see Titans fans and the Lovenuts out there
is I have affectionately starting calling a lot of you guys
that are Jeremiah lover or you won't be happy in the draft.
The reason why I think a lot of Love Nuts are pushing back on this
is because they say the Arizona Cardinals don't need a running back.
Right? That's what all Titans fans want to say.
We've talked about that.
They just signed Tyler Algier.
restructured James Conner's contract.
They brought back Bam Knight.
They have Trey Benson coming off the injury.
The Cardinals don't need a running back.
They're not going to take Jeremiah Love.
So it has to be smokescreen.
You've got to look yourself in the mirror.
And be honest here.
If you're not a Tennessee Titans fan,
if you're not a Tennessee Titans fan,
you would say the same thing to the Titans.
That's what everyone is saying to the Titans.
You don't need a running back.
You have bigger needs.
You have a guy in Tony Pollard
who's rushed for a thousand yards
multiple seasons in a row.
You have a guy in Tagee Spears
who is one of the most elusive
electric running backs in the NFL
when he's actually out on the field
and that's a good one-two pairing
the Titans don't need a running back.
That's what everyone who's not a Titans
fan is saying to the Titans
that the Titans don't need a running back.
So if you look at the Cardinals
and you're honest,
James Conner's contract got restructured.
He's probably only going to be there
for one more year.
Tyler Algier,
you're telling yourself
that Tony Pollard
is not a good enough running back
to pass on Jeremiah Love.
That's what you're saying.
The Titans can't pass on Jeremiah Love
because they have Tony Pollard.
Tony Pollard's not good enough
to pass on Jeremiah Love, right?
Well, how then
can you look at Tyler Algier
and say that Tyler Algier
is so good that they can pass on Jeremiah Love.
Tony Pollard is better than Tyler Alger.
They're at minimum comparable.
They're probably in the similar tier
in NFL running backs, quite honestly.
So you can't say that, oh, you know,
the Titans can pass,
or the Titans should take Jeremiah Love
because they only have Tony Pollard and Tad Jaze Spears
and then look at the Arizona Cardinals and say,
oh, they have to pass on Jeremiah Love
because they have Tyler Algier and James Connor.
Like, that's not fair.
And let's be honest.
If you're talking about who's more ready to take a running back in the NFL draft,
is it the Titans with no true number one wide receiver,
no long-term left tackle,
offensive line missing multiple starters.
They don't have a star tied end.
Look at Arizona.
Marvin Harrison Jr.
Michael Wilson is a very good player.
They have Harris Johnson Jr. at left tackle.
they have frohold at center.
If they draft Ty Simpson in this draft class,
they're just as set up for a running back as the Titans would be.
It's literally just the same.
And if not the same,
the Cardinals are actually in a better situation
to draft a running back than the Titans.
So, again, I don't buy that a team would trade up for Jeremiah Love to number three.
So the Cardinals aren't going to use that as a smokescreen attempt
because I don't believe that that would entice anybody.
If someone trades up, it's going to be for David Bailey.
So that's what they would sell if they were trying to smoke screen.
I do believe that the Arizona Cardinals owner
would force them to take Jeremiah Lovett 3
because that's what he wants.
And for the same reasons you guys tell him, sell jerseys
and have a superstar and fan base and sell tickets and blah, blah.
So the Arizona Cardinals owner would force that just for those reasons.
And then the final thing is
the Cardinals are just as ready for a running back as the Titans.
You can't say that the Titans
should take Jeremiah Love
and then say that the Cardinals can't
for the same reasons people are saying the Titans aren't.
So you put all those things together
and yes, I am buying.
I am buying that Jeremiah Love
could go to the Cardinals at number three.
But I have to tell you
and this is something I'm going to talk about later on tonight.
I think it's a good thing for the Titans.
I think it's a good thing for the Titans
if Jeremiah Love goes at number three.
Because what the Titans are left with at number four
is absolutely awesome.
They're in a great position at number four.
If it goes Arval Reese, Jeremiah Love,
the Titans are in a great position.
Elite position.
Maybe the best position that they could possibly end up in
in this draft.
And I'm going to talk about that later on tonight.
so make sure that you meet me back here.
But that's going to do it for me today, folks.
As always, I am your host, Tyler Rowan,
and this was Locked on Titans.
