ESPN's Adam Schefter said on his podcast recently that he does not think Jeremiyah Love is in the running for the Titans at pick #4 and it has caused quite the stir. Schefter is very plugged in, but at the same time, no man's word is bond. If the Titans did pass on Love though, what options would make the most sense? But with that being said again, yesterday, we talked about how all of the draft analyst, all of the big time draft Nicks, the gurus, the experts,

whatever you want to call them, Daniel Jeremiah, Mel Kiper, Todd McShea, Dane Brugler, all of them had Jeremiah Love going to the Tennessee Titans at number four. And obviously, that whipped the fan base into a frenzy because it seems like most people are Jeremiah Love or bust at this time. But then, splash. Here comes the cold water in the form of ESPN's Adam Sheff. Probably the most well-respected NFL insider in the universe. He's, you know, obviously there with Ian Rappaport and Tom Pelliser

and J. Glazer and, you know, other guys like that. But Adam Schaefter probably sits on top and it had Tennessee Titans fans a little worried when he said recently on his podcast, the Adam Schaefter show, he said, I don't think the Tennessee Titans are taken. Jeremiah Love at 4. The exact quote was, Quote about Jeremiah Love going to the Titans at 4. That would surprise me if he is at 4.

I think the Jeremiah Love Watch starts at 5 with the Giants. Now, of course, there are Tennessee Titans fans trying to cope when they hear that and say, oh, the big media doesn't want us to get Jeremiah Love. Adam Schepter just wants him to go to the Giants so he can go to a bigger market. They don't want the Titans to have playmakers. They don't want the Titans to be good. Guys, I just, like that sort of stuff is just nonsense to me.

You think that Adam Schaefter really cares if the Titans are good. You think Adam Schaefter really cares if there are good players on the Titans. Nobody was mad when Derek Henry was on the Titans. Everybody celebrated that. The media loved Derek Henry on the Titans. So I don't necessarily buy that it's a Titans bias of Adam Schaefter just doesn't like the Titans,

doesn't want to see him succeed, wants them to go to somebody else. But I don't really buy that kind of stuff, to be honest with you. Like, you know, people say stuff like that to me when I do locked on NFL. That, you know, if I say, oh, I think the Seattle Seahawks had a bad ass, you just don't like the Seahawks. You don't want to, I don't dislike the Seahawks for any reason. I'm just giving you my honest opinion. And if Adam Schaefter is telling you that he doesn't think the Jeremiah Love will go to the Titans,

I think that it's not because he hates the Titans. He's just telling you what he thinks, what his opinion is based on what he's heard. Now, does that mean that there isn't an agenda with what he's saying? It doesn't rule that out. He absolutely 100% could be doing service to someone. There 100% could be an agenda for, Adam Schaefter. I just don't think that it's rooted in. I don't want the Titans to do well. I don't like the Tennessee Titans. I want Jeremiah Love to go to a different team because I don't

want the Titans to have good players. Like, I don't think that is the agenda. But that doesn't mean, again, that doesn't mean that there isn't an agenda here. And it certainly doesn't mean that Jeremiah Love can't be the pick at number four to the Tennessee Titans. So let's talk about what could be happening when Adam Schaefter says that. He was talking on his podcast saying that he doesn't think that Jeremy Love is an option for the Titans at 4. We talked about that news, but again, I want to talk about what his agenda could be for saying that. And I don't think it's rooted in just, I hate the Tennessee Titans. Adam Schefter could very well have an agenda for saying that he doesn't think that Jeremiah Love will be there at number four. I just don't believe that that's rooted in Titans hate. I think the reality is he could be doing service for the Titans. Like Adam Schaefter could be doing a job for Mike Borgonzi. So all of you guys, not all of you guys, but a lot of you guys I saw out there were mad at this report. Again, like I said, he hates the Titans.

They don't want to see us win. They don't want us to have a bigger pool than Kanye. Like that's the type of vibe. but reality is Adam Schaefter could be doing Mike Borgonzi a favor. He could be saying

Jeremiah Love isn't going until number 5. You don't got to worry about love going until number 5. And what's that going to do? That is going to tell teams oh, we don't have to trade up in front of the Tennessee Titans.

So, while everyone was mad at Adam Schaefter, I think there is a world where Adam Schaefter is doing the Titans of favor. By telling teams, you don't need to trade up in front of the Titans, the Titans aren't going to take him. And that could eliminate the risk

that he gets stolen away from the Titans with someone trading up with Arizona at number three. And I think Arizona, who wants offensive line help, who would love a Sunny Stiles, who would love maybe another edge rusher, Arizona would love. Love and the puns are running heavy, of course. Pond intended.

Arizona would love to get a trade back so that they could have someone come up and get Jeremiah Love. So if you say the Titans aren't taking Jeremiah Love, not going to happen at number four, then no one's going to want to give Arizona anything to go up and get him because they don't feel like they need to get in front of them for. So while the rest of the world is saying, oh, the Titans are going to take Jeremiah, love it for people who aren't using sources.

Like, I'm not saying that Mel Kiper, Daniel Jeremiah, Todd McShay, Dane Brugler. I'm not saying these guys don't have sources in the leak. But they aren't as plugged in as Adam Schaefter. So if there's somebody, these mock drafters are probably just saying what they truly believe will happen. There's some agenda stuff in a mock draft. with the big guys because these teams, these teams do look at these mock drafts. They do. They run their own mock draft simulators just like we do here on the show. Just like you do on all your different simulators because you're bored and you love the action.

You're a diehard, right? Well, teams are doing that too. So with every mock drafter that's respected in the NFL community has Daniel, as Daniel Jeremiah, Jeremiah love at four, that does hurt the type of. whether that's sourced information or not because it's going to make other teams look at it and be like, yeah, the Titans probably won't love it for. So if you have somebody in the media that can lobby the other way and push back on that, that's only helpful to you.

Now, of course, there is the other way to view this that, you know, Adam Shepter is trying to help other teams. Maybe trying to push Jeremiah Love down the board for other teams, after the Titans to get him. Maybe he's trying to help the Giants. If Jeremiah Love does go five, the Giants want to trade back. Maybe he's helping him.

But when you look at, who does it help for that information to be out there? If the Titans truly want Jeremiah Love, it helps the Titans for Adam Shefter to say that. And I think people are real mad at Adam Schefter because they want to believe that the Titans will take Jeremiah Love. but I'm here to tell you that I don't think that you should be mad at Adam Schaefter for this

whether he's doing it on behalf of the Titans or not. I see it as more of a help to the Titans than hurt to the Titans because he ultimately isn't going to make the pick. Now he could be telling the truth and if he is telling the truth, obviously I think it goes to edge. Bain, Bailey, Reese, maybe the Titans love sunny styles.

I think that could be an option. I don't think it should be. but I think it could be what I think and what the Titans think are probably two different things. But again, I just wanted to say like all the mock drafters are saying love to the Titans and then Shefter does this and everyone loses their mind

but the truth is Shefter might be doing the Titans a favor. So just keep that in mind and also keep in mind it's smoke-squeezing it's smoke season folks. You can't believe anything that you hear. I'm not telling you to ignore everything,

but you can't believe everything you hear for the next five weeks. It's lying season in the NFL, so head on a swivel.
