I think just enough to save Brian Callahan's job.

And of course I am your host Tyler Rowland.
25 years as a Tennessee Titans fanatic.
I've covered the team for USA Today Sports Illustrated and hosted this
podcast for six seasons.
But with that being said, for me, the Titans have to survive September.
They have a brutal start to the season.
We start with week one on the road against the Denver Broncos.
I have talked at length at this point publicly about how difficult it is to
play in Denver with the continuity that that team is gonna have
and all of the newness with Cam Ward
as the quarterback for the Titans
and all the young players and a new offensive line
and all the things the Titans are integrating.
I just don't think the Tennessee Titans are set up
to get a win in Denver week one
with how historically difficult it is due to the elevation.
I'm gonna give the Tennessee Titans a loss
to start the season.
They're gonna come home and play the Los Angeles Rams.
And look, I've talked about why I think this is such a tough start to the year.
The Rams are a great football team.
They have one of the best coach quarterback combinations in the NFL.
They have a top 10 quarterback.
They have a top five coach.
They have weapons on the outside with Pukka Nakua and now Devontae Adams who is a better player than Cooper Cupp which
improves their offense. They have a young tenacious defense with that defensive
line with Braden Fisk and Kobe Turner and they got Jared Vrce on the outside. Like
they have some really good pieces that can test the Tennessee Titans offensive
line so with the experience the Rams have in the continuity once again that they're bringing from last year as a deep playoff team, I'm going to give the Titans a
loss in their home opener. But I do have the Tennessee Titans finally bouncing back and
getting their first win of the season in week three at home against the Indianapolis Colts.
I thought that the Jacksonville Jaguars would have a way worse season last year than what everybody thought. I predicted Jacksonville to finish last in the
division, but even my guy Tony Wiggins from Locked on Jaguars, he gives me
credit because he's like, I may not have gotten it perfectly right because the
Titans were last, but I did predict that Jacksonville would have a terrible
season when everybody thought they would be good. This year that Indianapolis is
that pick for me. I think they have two quarterbacks that are both awful. I think it's gonna catch up to him this year.
The rest of their roster has been the strength of their team for a long time,
but I do think that the Colts roster has taken some steps back.
Now, I think it's funny that the year that the Colts go out and do what all their fans are waiting for
and they get chivalrous war and they add people in free agency.
It just happens to be the worst quarterback situation they've had since Andrew Luck retired,
like out of all those years. I would take Carson Wentz over the quarterbacks that they have right now
at that point in time in his career. So I think the Titans at home in week three beat Indianapolis.
I think the Titans finished with a better record than Indianapolis this season. Week four on the road against Houston. Look,
I think that Houston is just one of those teams that's consistent. And after
the Tennessee Titans put it on them on the road,
I think Houston's going to be ready for this one. I just think they're going to
be super fired up. They're going to be looking at tape from last year's loss.
I think the Titans lose this game
against the Houston Texans on the road in week four. So through the first four
games of the season, that's just absolutely brutal. September stretch, the
Tennessee Titans don't really survive. I mean, not going oh, and four, I guess,
is surviving this first month of the season. So going one 1-3 for the Titans in the first four weeks,
I don't really think it's that terrible of an outcome.
I know a lot of you guys watching and people in the comments and online
and everyone who I interact with,
they're gonna be upset with this and say that this is not surviving September,
but quite frankly, I think that it is.
Now, it's gonna look rough the next couple of stretch,
but if you look at the season in stages, it's going to look rough the next couple of stretch, but if you look at the
season and stages, it will be okay. The Titans go to Arizona in week five, and this starts,
again, a very difficult start to the season continues and starts the away stretch. They're
at Houston in week four, and now they're at Arizona in week five, and then they're at
Las Vegas in week six. Three straight road games,
two of them being out west. Now I think the Tennessee Titans stay out west during this
period. They go to Houston and come back to Tennessee, but then they go to Arizona and they
stay out west and then they play Las Vegas. I don't think there's any reason to come all the
way back and then they go back. Stay in the time zone, stay in the area of the country, stay comfortable, stay used to the rhythm of it, have your body on time.
I think that's critical. So, I do have the Tennessee Titans losing to the Arizona Cardinals.
I think they can win that game. That's, that's a flip game to me in the season, but I'm going
to have the Tennessee Titans losing that game, their first big trip to the West,
but I'm gonna have them bouncing back,
and I'm gonna have them winning in week six
against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Because they stay out West, they keep that rhythm.
They don't come back to Tennessee
and then all the way back out to Vegas.
And so much travel time in your week, and changing your schedule and your rhythm and all that.
They just stay out West as a team.
Team bonding.
Look, they're one in four coming off a loss against Arizona looking like last year.
And they bounce back and get a big time win against Las Vegas on the road before they
go back home to play the New England Patriots.
And then it's week seven, the Titans are two and four, and Mike Vrabel comes to town.
And right now, it's a tough spot, and the Titans aren't playing good football, and New England is coming into town with Mike Vrabel.
If the Titans go to 2-5, could this be the end of Brian Callahan?
You know, you know, that if the Titans are 2-4, coming home from their 3-game trip to play Mike Vrabel in week seven.
You know that conversations will be had of is Brian Callahan going to be fired if they lose this game.
And you know what? I think the Tennessee Titans fight for their coach.

So you can check me out on TikTok over there.
But with that being said, we've gone through six weeks of the season here.
The Titans are two and four, a very difficult start to the season, but they
get a win against Indianapolis at home.
They get a win against the Raiders right before they come back from that
three game road trip and they head to a game against the New England Patriots with Mike Vrabel returning and I don't got to explain
to you how important this game is. Again I just said it if the Titans are two and five
or two and four and they lose to Mike Vrabel at home Brian Callahan probably fired right? But the
Titans fight for their coach and they find a way to win a game they beat the
Patriots before they can do it again with a better team the Titans win this game against New England
it's a crowning moment for Brian Callahan the Titans are three and four at this stage
and four at this stage, but it feels like they are undefeated. That's how it's going to feel.
All right. The Titans go from two and four to three and four with a win at home against Mike Vrabel.
You win on the road in your last roadie game against the Raiders.
You come home, you beat Mike Vrabel at home to back that up.
Back to back wins.
at home to back that up, back to back wins.
Monster for the Tennessee Titans vibes for the season. We're three and four.
Like we're in here.
We're ready.
We can get the 500.
We can make moves.
We can be a contender.
We can win the division.
Everything is in order,
but I do think the Titans do come back to earth.
The team is just not ready to take that next step,
in my opinion. So the next week after that, they go to Indianapolis and Indianapolis gets some
revenge. The Titans are riding high. They beat the Raiders on the road. They beat New England in a
close one at home. People are starting to say, man, Ken Ward looks good, the Titans, they could be
frisky. Blah, blah, blah. It's starting to get,
this happens every year. We get just a little excited about what the team can be,
and then it comes kind of back down. I have them losing at Indianapolis in week
eight, and I have them coming home and losing the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Chargers are a tough physical team.
I think there's a good chance the Chargers
win their division this year.
That is a prediction that I'm going to be making.
I'm deciding right now about it, but I feel pretty strongly.
I just think the Chargers are a tough team
for the Titans to deal with.
They're gonna have a lot of answers.
And their mentality and the way that they play,
I think it just makes it difficult on the Titans.
So, I'm gonna have the Titans losing the Indianapolis
in week eight, losing to the Chargers in week nine,
going into their buy, week 10, they're three and six.
Disappointment, People are feeling very disappointed.
And then they come out of the bye. They play Houston at home.
And I'll have them losing that game. I just think for the Titans to be serious,
they would have to beat Houston at least once. And I don't think they're gonna beat Houston once.
For them to be serious, and really have a chance to make the playoffs,
I think they have to beat Houston at least once, but I just don't see it.
Houston is just consistent, and again, I mentioned it, after they lost to the Titans last year in that embarrassing game,
I just think they're gonna, they're gonna be locked in for these ones.
I do. So I have the Titans losing to Houston twice
Week 11
They dropped a three and seven and now you're like dang
This isn't gonna be a playoff team is it?
but
They have a home game against Seattle the next week. Okay. And I think they win it.
I think they win the game against Seattle week 12.
So, now you get to four and seven.
You got some winnable games ahead.
That's where the Titans are at right now.
They, it's been a tough stretch.
If they can get to four and seven
through this stretch of 11 games, I think we should be, some of you are, I get it, some of you right
now are like four and seven. We're going to be hype about four and seven. They won three games last year.
So if you're telling me by week 12 that they already have as many wins, more wins than they had last year,
I think that's a mightily improved team.
A big win on the road against the Raiders.
A divisional win against the Indianapolis Colts.
A monster win at home against Mike Rable's New England Patriots, who I think are going to be improved.
I think Seattle is going to be a good team.
But here's my thing with this part of the schedule.
The reason I'm kind of down on the Titans early in the year
is because again, they have so many young pieces.
All right? They have so many young pieces.
So I think it's just going to be hard for them to play good teams
like Denver on the road, the Rams at home,
Houston on the road.
Those are tough games.
And then following up the road games with Arizona isn't as tough of a game in my opinion,
but with it being at Houston and then back out on the road across the country after playing
those first four games that are very difficult, that I think compiles.
And then you get to at Las Vegas, another difficult game that I think compiles. And then you get to At Los Vegas, another difficult game
that I think the Titans can find a way to eke out.
They can win that game.
Then you get some hard teams, you know?
You get the Chargers, you get Houston again.
But that's why this middle stretch of the season
that we're talking about right now is going to define
whether Brian Callahan keeps his job or not.
How do they do here? How do they look in these games? Even in losses, how do they look?
Because they're going to get to that bye week and I got to see where the Titans are at. And again, I have them getting to the bye week at three and
get to the bye week at three and one, two, three, three and seven. Get to the bite where a three and six get to the bye week.
They get to the bye week at three and six.
They're in a pretty good spot.
Then you're three and seven with the Houston loss.
Yeah, but getting to four and seven, four and seven coming back,
winning against New England, winning against Seattle, playing some of these
teams tough, get the bye week. I think Brian Callahan would be safe. If Brian
Callahan gets to four and seven through this stretch, I think he's safe. But
winning that New England game is going to give him back to back wins against Vegas in the New England.
It's gonna give him an opportunity to survive the
loss to Indy, loss to the Chargers.
I almost called him the Clippers.
I have an LAC in my notes, so.
Basketball season's still in my mind
with the playoffs going.
And then Houston, he can withstand three straight losses
with the bye because he gets back to back wins
against the Raiders in New England.
And then you finish with Seattle. You lose that game against Seattle at home, and now you're at
four straight losses with a buy in the middle of it, then Brian Callahan is fired. But getting that
win at Seattle or against Seattle at home is what ultimately saves him because he builds off the
win against New England. So you beat New England and you get one of these, one of these games, Houston, Indy, Chargers, Seattle. You get one of those games and New England and Brian Callahan is going to survive.
I believe that. So through 12 weeks, the Titans are four and seven.
And now it's time to build some serious, serious momentum. I think the Tennessee Titans because of their youth will finish strong and I'm gonna tell you what
I think it looks like. Titans fans. So the Tennessee Titans have gotten through 12 weeks of the season. They
sit at four and seven already more wins than they had last year. And again, I think the end of the season,
the last six weeks for the Titans gives them such an opportunity to finish
strong and build that momentum towards 2026.
And we're going to be hype as possible headed in to 2026.
I think that's what happens at the end of the year.
So again, lost to Denver in week one, lost to the Rams in week two,
win against the Colts in week three, lost to Houston in week four,
lost to Arizona in week five, win against the Raiders in week six,
two and four, win against New England, three and four,
lost, lost, lost, Colts, Chargers, Houston out of the by.
Three and seven, win against Seattle, four and seven, and then the Titans play Jacksonville at home.
Titans are going to win that game. I'm sorry. Titans are going to win that game. There's no
way the Titans are getting swept by Jacksonville. I refuse to accept that that's going to happen
this year. The Titans win the game at home against Jacksonville and now we got another
win streak going home against Seattle home against Jacksonville win-win Titans are starting
to feel a little good. All right, five and seven on the year, vast improvement. And then
you go on the road against the Cleveland Browns. And like I have said, I really hope that Shidor Sanders
is playing this game.
I hope we get Sanders against Cam Ward.
I think it'd be maybe the second most exciting game
on the schedule all year behind the Mike Vrabel game.
If we get that in week 14 with the Titans at five and seven
and the Browns at, you know,
four and eight or something like that.
That'll be a matchup between two teams that aren't great,
but it'll be very intriguing.
And I'm just hoping for interesting games
that'll be fun to watch, you know?
The Titans aren't winning anything of substance this year,
most likely.
They're not gonna win the Super Bowl.
Probably not even gonna make the playoffs.
So I just want interesting games and good matchups.
I want to see Sanders starting this game against Kam Ward.
That's what I want.
And I think the Titans win that game.
I think the Titans are going to be better
than Browns this year.
Absolutely, the Browns roster has eroded.
Whereas it was a good roster that could be led
by Joe Flacco to 11 and five.
The roster has fallen off.
And now they have Joe Flacco older,
and Dylan Gabriel and Kenny Pickett, like, they got to play Sanders.
So I think Sanders are playing. We get Sanders against Cam Ward.
So, so exciting. So much fun.
I would absolutely love that, and I think no matter who is starting at quarterback in that game,
I think the Titans win.
So if you're keeping track at home folks, that's a three game win streak for the Tennessee Titans.
And again, this is where Brian Callahan really saves his job.
This middle chunk of the season coming out of that bye.
Seattle, Jacksonville at Cleveland.
Titans win, win, win.
They are heated up.
Cam Ward, I think one of those wide receivers by this moment in time takes a step forward.
I think the Titans rookies that they're waiting on, like a Femi Oladejo,
we should start to see real signs from Femi at this point in time in the season,
improving the Titans pass rush.
I think you get Kevin Winston full go at about this time.
Those two rookies start to really hit their stride at the end of the year.
It improves the Titans. The offensive line is gelled. Cam Ward is comfortable.
Brian Callahan knows what to do and they start ripping them off.
But then they're met with a buzzsaw that makes it very difficult. They go on the road against the
San Francisco 49ers in week 15 and then they come back home and they have to play the Kansas City Chiefs week 16.
I think the Titans lose both those games, but I think the Titans look good in them.
I think the Titans are competitive. I think the Titans give San Francisco all they got and the Titans lose late.
And I think the Titans lose by a touchdown against Kansas City and they make it close.
I think again, this back end of the season, there are some losses, but I think the Tennessee
Titans really show signs at the end of the year of everything coming together.
They get the three straight wins.
They play really tough, really good against two really good playoff teams this year.
Then they come home week 17 against the saints and they beat the saints.
So four out of six weeks, they get wins.
And their two losses are scrappy losses against two of the
better teams in the league.
I think that would be an awesome finish to the year. Now, final week of the year, the Titans are at Jacksonville, and I think ultimately they lose that game.
Jacksonville will probably have a playoff spot riding on it, and the Titans beat Jacksonville at home, and I just play in the odds.
The Titans probably lose that game. Go two and four in the division. And for the quick math,
that would make the Titans seven and ten on the year. And I think if the Titans go seven and ten,
Brian Callahan is going to keep his job. Seven and ten keeps Brian Callahan his job. I honestly think
Seven and ten keeps Brian Callahan his job. I honestly think that six and eleven could keep Brian Callahan's job.
It just depends on where those six wins are.
If they lose to Seattle or something like, if the Titans have a big, if they don't beat New England and they go two and five in the first seven weeks and
then they lose the next two games.
If the Titans are two and seven going into the week 10 by Brian Callahan is cooked.
Brian Callahan is done two and seven at the week 10 by Brian Callahan is fired. So the Titans got to find a way to be three and six, which is
what I have them going.
And then Callahan has a great finish to the season.
Everything connects.
They start to build momentum.
And then we go into 2026 with a chance to be a playoff team.
So I'm going to go seven and ten for the Titans right now.
That's my initial prediction.
I have the ability to change my mind.
We're going to go through OTAs.
We're going to go through mini camp.
We're going to go through training camp preseason injuries happen.
Titans other teams, too.
Maybe there are teams that the Titans play where I feel like, oh,
I actually think the Titans will win that game now.
So I'm going to do another record prediction.
Probably I'll probably do one in the middle of the summer before training camp.
And then I'll probably do one right before the season starts, like the day before the season starts, something like that.
And I'll update my predictions there.
But right now I see seven and 10.
I think, I think six and 11 is probably more probable.
I think right now, if I had, you know,
gun to my head, had to be right,
I would say six and 11.
But with what I see right now going through the schedule,
I'm gonna go with seven and 10.
I'm gonna go with seven and 10 for the Titans.
And again, I think that saves Brian Callahan's job.
I think we are, you may hear seven and ten right now
and be like, that would be terrible.
That's another bad season.
But I think if we get to the first week of January next year
and the Titans finish the season seven and ten
with four wins in the last seven weeks of the season,
we're gonna be very excited going weeks of the season, we're going to be very excited
going into the off season where the Titans have a complemented draft picks,
the Titans have cap space again, the Titans have a ton of opportunities to
make trades, to make signings, to make picks, to do whatever they need to do, and
if Cam Ward looks good while doing it, which he would have to to finish the
season that strong, that would be a to to finish the season that strong.
That would be a great outcome for the season. Seven and ten would be a phenomenal, a five star. Well, I'll say four star. Seven and ten would be a
four star outcome. A five star outcome to me for the Titans would be nine
and eight, ten and seven, wild card team. That is a five-star season for the Tennessee Titans,
but I think seven and ten is a four-star season,
and I would be very excited,
and I think you guys would be too after watching it play out.
But let me know your record predictions again on social media,
down below in the comments on YouTube.
Excited to hear what you guys have to say,
but that is gonna do it for me today, folks.
