Tennessee Titans quarterback Cam Ward can win rookie of the year and I'm going to tell you what he needs to do to win it on today's edition of Locked On Titans.
You are Locked On Titans, your daily Tennessee Titans podcast, part of the Locked On Podcast Network, your team every day. Welcome to the Locked On Titans podcast.
I am your host, Tyler Rowland, Titans fans.
On today's show, I'm gonna be answering
your mailbag questions.
The off season is finally over and next week,
Tennessee Titans training camp will be here.
So with that in mind, you guys got some questions about what Cam Ward needs to do to win Rookie of the Year, the players that can help him win it, and Brian Callahan and what he needs to do to survive this season.
Before we get into all of that, I do want to thank you for making Locked on Titans your first listen each and every day. Remember, Monday through Friday, Tennessee Titans content all year round, always for free. Make sure you get subscribed, stay subscribed. It's your team

And then of course, I'll be here to break down everything you need to know from
Tennessee Titans practice on the Locked on Titans podcast.
So get subscribed, stay subscribed.
It's your team every day.
With that being said though, first question that I got here was from Cole
Ballard and he says, predict, uh, Cam Ward's game one stat line versus the
Broncos rushing passing all well. Talking about, you know, just week one in
Denver, it's kind of hard. I think I would have cam ward, uh, 205 passing
yards, one passing touchdown, one interception. That's what I'll go with
right now. I think Denver is a very, very difficult place to play. But Josh
Davis said, in your opinion, how can cam ward win rookie of the year and have a
rookie of the year season? Well, I think that while it's going to be about more than
stats, like it's going to be about how Cam Ward plays. That's going to determine whether or not
he can win rookie of the year this year. Like the number one thing is just going to be about
how it looks, how it feels. The reality is a lot of these people voting for awards, they don't have any sort of statistical standard that they hold guys to.
They don't go back and say, Oh, well,
this guy won with this many yards or this guy didn't win with this many yards.
It's all about how the player feels as a performer. That's the reality.
So, you know, I want to say if Cam Ward has
3,200 yards and he has 22 touchdown passes to 8, 9, 10 interceptions, that's probably good enough if the Titans win seven games.
If Cam Ward's stats don't look good and the Titans win four
games, well then he's not gonna win it. He could have rookie of the year stats,
but he might not win if the Titans are too bad because the Titans just aren't a
cool team thing. Ashton Gentry could run for 1,300 yards and you know the Raiders
could win more games than the Titans. it's a quarterback award so heavily slanted to Cam Ward and the reality is
there aren't even other quarterbacks that can really compete the only other
quarterback right now that's set to be a starter is maybe Tyler Shook in New
Orleans so if we all accept and know the truth that
it's quarterback award for the most part and quarterbacks win it. Cam Ward would really have to have a bad season and the Titans would have to have a bad season
for him not to win it. I think, you know, just for comparison, like Caleb Williams last
year, everyone said, oh, Caleb Williams sucks. Caleb Williams had a bad year for the Bears. Blah, blah, blah. Well, Caleb Williams had a 62% completion percentage,
had 3,500 passing yards,
and had 20 touchdowns with six interceptions.
If Cam Ward had those stats and the Titans win,
I mean, the Bears won five games last year.
If the Titans win, I mean, the Bears won five games last year. If the Titans win six games and Cam Ward has those stats with, let's say three rushing touchdowns.
That's the rookie of the year. Jaden Daniels was, I think, you know, Jaden Daniels is prominent
in everybody's mind because Jaden Daniels was last year. He was so incredible.
It was amazing.
Jane Daniels had the best rookie quarterback season of all time, of all time.
So just because that happened last year, we can't hold Cam Ward to that standard and say
Cam Ward only has a good season or Cam Ward's only worthy of rookie of the year,
if he does what Jane Daniels did statistically last year,
which I gotta tell you guys, isn't gonna happen.
Like, it's not gonna happen.
Jane Daniels had 69% completion percentage,
3,500 yards, had 25 touchdown passes,
nine interceptions, along with the rushing success that he had.
I mean, again, going to the Conference Championship game,
rushing for 891 yards and six touchdowns, added onto the passing stats we talked earlier.
Cam Ward's just not going to do that.
He's not that dynamic of a runner
to be able to add that total.
And if you want to add even a little bit of that total
to the passing, well, now Cam Ward's throwing for 4,000 yards.
In Newsflash, the Titans have never
had a 4,000-yard passer in franchise history.
Talk about being in the Stone Age.
Terrible wide receivers, terrible quarterback play.
It's been a disaster.
Okay.
But here's the reality.
Cam Ward doesn't need to even do what Jaden Daniels did.
It doesn't have to be exactly what Jaden Daniels did for him to be the rookie of the year and for him to win the award and for him to have a great season.
It could be more like what Caleb Williams did.
And I think he still has a great chance to win the award and for him to have a great season. It could be more like what Caleb Williams did and I think he still has a great chance to win it but the Titans are going to have to perform
and win some games and Cam Ward's going to have to have some game-winning moments and some moments where he does some of that stuff that he did in college. He's going to have to do that to win
Rookie of the Year. Now I'll be honest with you. I feel like I glazed over the uh,
and that used to mean something different than it does now with the young whippersnappers out there,
but I glossed over let's say that the first one, but for the stat line against the Broncos,
like I said, I think, you know, right around 200 passing yards, one touchdown pass, one interception.
We got training camp to go and the hype machine
will get going, but I gotta tell you guys,
I am probably gonna have the Titans losing 23-13,
week one against the Broncos.
The Broncos are a really good football team
that made the playoffs last year
with one of the best coaches of my lifetime,
and Sean Payton, with an incredible historic
home field advantage in the elevation in Denver.
Like on the road, first start rookie quarterback.
It's all stacked against the Titans.
If Cam Ward wins that game, I'm going to be saying crazy things.
I'm going to be on here saying crazy things
after the game. If Cam Ward goes into Denver and wins week one, because I am at like 95%
certainty that they are going to lose that game, which in my mind, I'm saying like, don't overreact
to week one. They're going to get beat bad. It's a bad situation. It's everything you don't want in week one for not only your young, bad football
team, but your young rookie starting quarterback in his first start.
It is literally the opposite of ideal.
It is the least ideal start for the Titans other than in Kansas
city, in Philadelphia, in Baltimore, you know, stuff like that.
Like this is a terrible, terrible first opponent
for Cam Ward, so if he wins that one, woo.
But with that in mind, I mean, really,
we might be talking about like 175 passing yards,
a touchdown and two interceptions.
And I'm not gonna overreact to it,
because again, terrible circumstances,
but Cam Ward's gonna need help
if he wins week one in Denver,
and we'll talk about who he needs to get that help from.

It's a mailbag edition.
I answered some questions about Cam Ward season.
Now I want to move on to maybe some of the other players on the team.
First question that I have here comes from Lost Mario Brother.
And he says, who would have to be the biggest factor in a week one win at Denver
other than Cam Ward?
And for me, the answer is Jeffrey Simmons.
Jeffrey Simmons is clearly the player on this team that can wreck a game.
We've seen him do it against the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night football in
2021.
And I want to say that Bangalore's game where he went absolutely insane in the
playoffs, but Ryan Tannehill found a way to throw that game away.
Regardless, Cam Ward would obviously be the number one guy who, if he goes crazy
and just goes superstar X factor all game long, the Titans are going to win
that game against the Broncos,
but the other guy who could do it and win the Titans,
the game is certainly Jeff Simmons destroying the pocket from the interior.
Imagine Jeffrey Simmons just absolutely eating bone Nicks alive.
That would be the other player who could tilt this thing in the Tennessee
Titans favor. The crazy one said,
which rookie wide receiver including Xavier Restrepo, and also put in Gunnar Helm in there as well,
do you think will be most valuable to Cam Ward this year?
And for me, I will continue to say,
I think it's going to be Ellic Io Manor.
The fifth round pick out of Stanford
just gives the Titans a skillset
that they don't have a lot of elsewhere.
He's big, he's physical,
he can win contested catch situations. He can be that X receiver for the team and when nobody's open. This
is why, let me get into a little football philosophy for you. If we're talking
about someone who is elite in contested situations against someone who is an
elite route runner and separator, a lot of people would go with the separator
because they say, I want somebody who can create separation and make it easier to get completions. And I understand
that philosophy. These are two sides of a coin that I think both have merit. I don't think one's
dumb and I'm right. I think you could make that argument. That's fine. But my personal position
on football is I want people who can win when it doesn't go right. What happens
when you don't get open? You could be an elite separator like Calvin Ridley or
like a Brandon Iuke or something like that. An elite route runner like Rashad
Bateman actually from the Baltimore Ravens is an elite separation creator.
Maybe that's because Lamar Jackson and what he brings I don't know but when you
go on the you know the separation created yards or separation created per route run, you look at all those things, the best players in the league,
that's a great skill set to have. But I've seen so many times where,
oh, you're a great route runner. Well, we called the perfect coverage.
You're going to run a crossing route against man coverage. You're fast enough, you beat your man, well,
we have a hook defender dropping from the opposite side of the field who's going to
pick up your crosser and then the corner is going to drop off and be the intermediate
zone defender and now we got you covered.
Sometimes no matter how great of a route runner you are, no matter how much separation you
can normally create, sometimes you can't.
Sometimes you don't. What are you going to do when it doesn't go right? What's your plan of attack
when you don't get separation? Can you win still? A.J. Brown can still win. Jamar Chase can still
win. Justin Jefferson can still win. C.D. Lamb can still win. These are a guy like Mike Evans,
not an elite separator, but one of the best wide receivers of all time, because he always wins the
contested stuff. I just want guys who make plays when a play has to be made, not guys who rely on
has to be made, not guys who rely on separation or route design or I want somebody who it's it's me versus you we're one-on-one we're chest to chest who is winning the football.
So much of football at all levels, Peewee, high school that's why people say talent wins talent
wins talent wins. You get to the NFL level you got to have talent and hard work you got to have both
of those together and can't just do talent at the NFL level.
But to me, that's why I will continuously say,
I want somebody who can go up and win the football over somebody who's a separator.
I'm not saying that that's not valuable.
I'm just saying from my football philosophy, I'm building inside out.
I want pass rush over pass defense.
I want big physical guys over separators.
I want versatile running backs over Derek Henry types. Like these are just
my personal football philosophies of how I see the game and think best and
not one philosophy in the NFL is right.
There are different ways to skin the cat as they say, but either way.
That's a little corner on philosophical corner.
So, El Hicayo manner is my answer because he can win in those ways.
Tony B. Real says, other than Cam Ward, which player needs to have the most success for the team to be successful?
I think we've talked about this with X-Factor players.
I think Ligeria Snead. I think Femiola Dezio.
I think if you want to go deeper, obviously Cam Ward,
but you said other than Cam Ward, I think Dan Moore.
I think one of the young wide receivers.
Caleb Dyson said, who would you say is your under the radar player on both offense and defense
that could come out and become an X-F factor for their respective side of the ball. I would say, I wonder if it counts as under the radar.
I would say Cody Barton is a guy who I think will make a huge difference on the defense this year.
On offense, I will say Kevin Zeitler.
I think Kevin Zeitler is a guy who people don't understand
just how much of an upgrade that's going to be for the Titans. Darryl says, how much of
an impact do you think early mid training camp will have on the linebacker two battle?
And I want to add in baby mama drama said which player has the lead to start opposite
Cody Barton at inside linebacker.
So I would say that the early lead in my opinion is James Williams. I think James Williams has the
early lead because he was more available last year than Cedric Gray. Both Williams and Gray
are younger players than Otis Reese, for example. I think Anthony Ogery could be a guy who could
sneak his way into that conversation, but he has way less upside as a waiver claim at 25 years old than a guy like James Williams
or Cedric Gray, who are both 22 and draft picks.
So I will say the early lead goes to James Williams, who had a pretty solid mandatory
mini camp, but I would say early to mid training camp is everything for that battle.
You're not going to have the pads on.
So it's really going to be an emphasis on
who is mentally prepared, who knows where they're supposed to be, who understands the route concepts
that they're seeing and where to cut them off and how far to drop into coverage. And the mental game
is going to be on full display for the linebackers early on. And I think early in training camp,
that's what you're looking for as a coach. Are you in shape and are you mentally prepared? So the mental preparedness factor I think will
go a long way in shuffling that linebacker battle throughout camp especially early in
mid camp and then once we get the pads on obviously the physicality starts to take over
but I think you could like if James Williams is the number two behind Cody
Barton right now, I think Cedric Gray could leap him without the pads on by showing that he's more
mentally prepared for the job. You know, so I think early to mid training camp, it's a huge factor,
but I would say that right now James Williams, to answer the second question, James Williams has the
early lead to start opposite Cody Barton. Andrew says, shout out Andrew, in your opinion,
any chance the Titans sign Amari Cooper? I'm gonna say no. I've talked about this possibility,
and while I don't think that it would be a bad idea, I think the Titans Amari Cooper is Tyler
Lockett. The Titans did go out and sign their version of Amari Cooper. Now I think Amari Cooper
is a better player than Tyler Lockett is right now,
but I just think the Titans,
the Titans need to see what these young receivers
can do first.
The Titans need to get younger.
They need to find players that match Cam Ward's timeline.
Those are the players that you're gonna pay.
Those are the players that are gonna be most valuable
to you.
So in my opinion, Tyler Lockett is the Amari Cooper signing
and they shouldn't make another older veteran wide receiver signing wide receiver
because now you need to see what you have from Elec, Chim, Xavier, Bryce Oliver.
Let those guys get their opportunities and see what you have there.
Andrew also asked some other questions. I'll get to him here in a second, Andrew.
But ChildofGod said, what is your expectation for young wide receivers and running backs
as draft targets for next year? Love the videos. Keep up the work. God bless. Thank you.
Appreciate that. But I will say, I think there were some really good running backs
in next year's class. I think about a guy like Jeremiah Love
or the guy from Texas who was injured last year
or should come back this year.
I'll be honest with you and with the next question,
like Hunter says, name three draft prospects
at need positions.
For example, edge, wide receiver, cornerback
that you'd like the Titans to draft next year.
We need stars, top end talent.
Like you're 100% right about that. The Titans need
stars with their next couple of draft picks in the first round. Like the Titans don't have enough
star players. Like they simply don't. But here's what I would tell you. I don't watch college
football enough to know like who the top three wide receiver prospects for next year's draft class
are right now. I think, you know, like a guy like Cornell Tate from Iowa state or Jordan
Tyson, I think is the guy's name from Arizona, Arizona state.
I'm not into college football enough to be a year ahead of my study.
I, you could ask me this question in like October and I'd have an answer for you.
Um, but I think my overall thought is on this and I think it should satisfy your guys' answers.
I think that it wouldn't be crazy if the Titans were to eight, let's say the Titans won seven
games and they didn't have, you know, a top ten draft pick.
They were at like 12 or 13.
And the board fell a certain way where quarterbacks and edge rushers went first.
I don't think it would be crazy for the Titans to take a top tier running back like a Jeremiah
Love.
You know, now obviously we have a college football season ahead, but I think this could
be Tony Pollard's last year.
Tajay Spears.
Can you count on him?
Like I don't think it would be crazy if some things happened.
We would need some players at wide receiver to work out.
We would need to see a good leap from Femi,
but I guess I'm just saying it would not be insane
as I sit here right now for the Titans to get a top 15 draft pick,
have some players break out that led to that many wins,
and then the Titans take one of the best running backs
because I think running backs are better than wide receiver.
I don't think, and it could always change. It's's a year from now people are going to clip this and say I
was wrong whatever. I don't think that the wide receiver group next year is good enough to take
a wide receiver first. I know the Titans need it. I know they need it but I don't see a wide receiver group. That's where I see more of a Jackson Smith and Zig in Jigba
Zay Flowers Jordan Addison type group coming out.
Then I see Marvin Harrison Jr Malik neighbors,
Romo Dunze, Brian Thomas Jr.
You know what I mean?
Like I don't see that.
Twenty twenty seven is that with Ryan Williams and Jeremiah Smith.
Like twenty twenty seven is an elite wide receiver class in my opinion depending on how the underclassmen declare and come out and all that but I guess for me I don't think running back would be that nuts I think wide receiver is a little tough to project right now guys being there that would make sense for the Titans if they get a top 10 pick but edge rusher on the other hand, I think it was Dane Bruegler
from the athletic, one of the best draft guys in the world,
the best in my opinion, if I had to give out a title.
Dane Bruegler had a list of the top 10 edge rushers
and there was like 10 first round edge rushers right now
based on what he's seeing.
And obviously guys are gonna disappoint,
guys are gonna get way better than we
ever expected that they would get but like people knew about Abdul Carter coming in and people know
about TJ Parker and some of the other guys um that are out there so I think edge rusher is right now
if you're a titans fan like I love playing man with the titans and going out years and going into 2028, 2029 and
building out the team. And I love doing that. I'm an old school dynasty franchise
offline guy. All right. If you're thinking like that and how you would build the
team and I think next year's first round pick would be an edge rusher. And I
think there are numerous options with how many good edge rushers there are right now a year from the draft or less
than a year from the draft I think there will certainly be a ton of good options
at the top for on Titans podcast, answering
your mailbag questions.
Some really good conversations here.
As I always do in the third segment, I like to answer some maybe off the wall questions, some personal questions,
some things people are just asking me that aren't necessarily Tennessee Titans related. So I'll do
those at the very end of the show, but we got some more questions about the Titans and Brian
Callahan specifically here that I'm going to dive into. Before I do, thanks again for making Locked
on Titans your first listen each and every day.
Do want to remind you that the locked on NFL top 100 has been out.
It was released on Wednesday, July 16th.
We have one Tennessee Titan in the top 100 and it's Jeffrey Simmons at number
55. Great discussion, great rankings.
You guys go check those out on locked on sports today. But with that being said next question comes from Tanner Conrad and he says what does Brian Callahan need to show to remain the head coach for the Titans next year? Also, if they were to fire Callahan, do they let Borganzi go to brinker? So I'm going to answer this backwards.
I'm going to answer this backwards. I do not think that they're letting go of Brinker anytime soon.
I think Amy Adams-Struunk believes that Chad Brinker can be her liaison to build the football
program.
Brinker knows business.
Brinker knows technology.
Brinker knows football.
He has a scouting background, but he also has the business acumen.
And he also has his own individual IP and his
data models that he's brought over with him and maybe some of that stuff's over
exactly oh his data models and blah blah blah he's this you know but the point is he is a
multifaceted guy who knows way too much about the business side of things to
just be a general manager like Mike Borganzi you know what I mean but also
knows way too much about football and scouting to just be a general manager like Mike Borganzi. You know what I mean? But also knows way too much about football and scouting
to just be on the business side.
So I think Chad Brinker is the president of football operations.
Is Amy Adams-Trunk?
I always ask myself this.
Who does Amy Adams-Trunk ask
when Will Levis plays bad for the first month of the season?
Is it just the quarterback?
Is Brian Callahan doing a good job?
Think about how smart you have to be to really be able to be like, Oh, Brian Callahan was tack attacking the intermediate.
He was using this certain route concept.
They were running a cover nine on the defense significantly, like the high
level of information to fully understand everything.
If you're Amy Adams, drunk, who's not grinding tape and blah, blah, blah,
blah, blah.
If you're an owner who didn't grow up like Amy Adams, drunk grew up in
football, but she wasn't like scouting.
And you know, do you think Amy Adams, drunk knows individual technique
of offensive linemen?
Do you think Amy Adams, drunk knows route depth and whether a wide receiver is running it right?
Do you think Amy Adam Strunk knows the progression system for a quarterback or whether the quarterback is making the right checks at the line of scrimmage for pass protection or whether Cam Ward's odd bowling or whether Brian Callahan had a significantly better scheme plan for this second matchup
against a division rival. How could she know that? That stuff's so hard to know. There are people
who've loved this team for decades who don't know that stuff. How is she supposed to know? So who do
you ask? If you're Amy Adams-Trunk and you want an honest answer on whether Brian Callahan is doing a good job. Who do you ask? That person is Chad Brinker.
So I see zero path where Chad Brinker is fired with Brian Callahan. Same with Borgonzi. Brinker
hired Borgonzi. Now Brinker could say that he was on board with the Brian Callahan hire,
because that's the smart thing to say. You don't want to say, no, I was not on board with hiring
Brian Callahan, who's the head coach right now.
And now I'm in charge.
Like that's a terrible thing to do.
You would not want to say that publicly, but it could be true.
We don't know.
Randcar Thon said that he had a great relationship with Brian
Callahan and that's why he wanted to hire him.
Well, that's true.
And Brian Callahan was Rand Carthon's guy.
Maybe Chad Brinker doesn't like Brian Callahan as much.
Maybe Chad Brinker was telling Amy Adams-Strunk,
I'm not certain about the Callahan hire, but Rand Carthon said,
no, that's who I want.
So Amy Adams-Strunk said, well, you're the general manager.
We're following Randcarthon.
That's our path.
You two are equals right now.
We'll go with Rancarthon's guy.
And then now that she's realized, oh, Rancarthon made a bunch of mistakes.
I was led astray.
I made a mistake myself.
Brinker was right all along.
He said not to trade for a luxurious need.
He said not to pay this guy.
He said, you know, I'm going to go with the guy who was right.
And just because a decision that he disagreed with doesn't work out, said not to pay this guy, he said, you know, I'm going to go with the guy who was right.
And just because a decision that he disagreed with doesn't work out, doesn't mean I'm going
to fire him too. And Mike Borganzi had nothing to do with hiring Brian Callahan. Of course,
he's going to say he's excited about Brian Callahan because anybody would do that. But
we don't know that Borganzi thinks Brian Callahan is a good head coach. So the answer to that
is a resounding no.
I don't think that they would let Borganzi or Brinker go if they fire Callahan,
but what Callahan needs to do is win five to six games and make
Cam Ward look good.
If Callahan can, five games you're teetering.
If Callahan can win six games this year and Cam Ward looks good doing it,
Callahan is going to keep his job and get to see a third season.
Matt Jackson said, what do you deem as bottom of the barrel improvement
that would make this season a success?
And what would you make that?
What would make this season a raging success?
I think bottom of the barrel improvement is like I just said, five wins.
If Cam Ward looks good and the Titans win five games,
I think that they would accept it.
If Cam Ward looks bad and they win five games, Brian Callahan's fired. Six games, I think if you double your win total, Callahan's going to stay.
So that's bottom of the barrel. Raging success, if this season were a raging success, all they
got to do is make the playoffs. If the Titans make the playoffs and lose by 20 in round one,
this was a raging success of a season so raging success to me is playoffs or
winning record if the titans go nine and eight and miss out on the playoffs by tiebreakers or
whatever raging success winning record or playoffs raging success season uh b bot said b bot 125 you Bbot said, Bbot125, you sound like a droid on Star Wars, Bbot, but in your opinion, what
is the most important thing the Titans must do this upcoming season to win more football
games?
Are they putting themselves in position to do so?
The answer to that question, and honestly it is such a good question Bbot, that I want
to make it a full segment.
The number one thing that has to happen for the Tennessee Titans this year is Cam Ward to be good. But
what's the number one thing that must happen for Cam Ward to be good? It's the
offensive line. The offensive line must be massively improved. The offensive line
must be a top half of the NFL unit. And I think that the Titans have done
all that they can. You drafted two guys in the first round, high in the first round,
they're two starters. You signed two big free agents. Good offensive linemen don't come in
free agency, man. They just don't. So the Titans tried the best they could to pay two guys who are
decent players. I think Cushion Barry is a much better player than Dan
Moore relative to their position, but nonetheless, two big contracts, two first round picks,
a mid-range contract on a really good solid older guy. The Titans have done everything they can
to make the offensive line better this year. Right? So that's the, if the offensive line is good,
if the Titans have a good offensive line, a top 12 offensive line,
they're gonna be a lot better this season. Now,
some of the off the beaten path questions that are not Titans related, if you're not interested, now is the time to tune out.
I won't be offended. But Eric Callahan said, what are your top three shows,
OAT, of all time? I didn't know what that meant. I had
to sit with it for a while. I am not a big TV guy. So I have to admit that first and foremost,
not a big TV guy, but I'll say Game of Thrones, The Alienist from TNT with Daniel Bruhl loved that show.
And then I'm going to throw this in here.
It's not like a series, but pardon the interruption.
Pardon the interruption.
As a kid, I'm a classic ESPN kid like PTI, Around the Horn, Colin
Cowherd, Ryan Rosillo, Mike and Mike, SportsCenter Top 10.
Like I'm 34 years old, so I'm a classic ESPN kid,
so I'll throw an ESPN show in there to round it off.
But yeah, I mean, if we're doing real, real, like, not just like shows, I'll say Batman
the Animated Series, Workaholics, and yeah, PTI.
We'll throw a couple of different ones.
I'm not a big TV guy though, so you're probably laughing.
Like I like the wire, HBO, that's really good.
It's old though.
Gabriel Abraham says, if you were an NFL quarterback,
what number would you wear?
Biggest hope for the upcoming season?
Well, Gabriel, I'm sorry I didn't put biggest hope
for the upcoming season in the Titan stuff,
but I'll say Cam Ward, winner Rookie of the Year.
That would be so cool.
And I would be number eight.
As you guys can see, if you're watching on YouTube,
I have a Roland eight jersey.
Eight was my number.
Growing up, I'm a huge Kobe Bryant fan.
So I was number eight, baseball, basketball.
If I was a, I didn't wear eight in football
because I wasn't in a low level, like, number type position.
I was running back, safety, linebacker, guard. football because I wasn't in a low level like number type position.
I was running back safety linebacker guard.
You know, those are the positions I played.
So I would be number eight if I was a quarterback though, which is whenever
I make Tyler Roland on video games, I'm always number eight.
So, uh, my backup number would be two though, cause that was my sister's number.
She was big Derek, Derek Jeter girl.
Uh, so I would give some love and show some, pay some homage to
my sister and be number two.
But Hunter says, I'll throw in a fun question.
Do you play video games?
And if you do, what games do you play?
So I do play video games.
I've been playing video games since I was three years old
playing Sega and Atari and then Nintendo and all of that.
I told you, I mentioned this earlier
foreshadowing but I'm an old-school video gamer. I don't like I suck at Call of Duty
man. Apex Legends and I'm so bad like it's like an old man using a cell phone
in front of you. You know when your parents or your grandparents are trying
to do something on a phone or a computer and you know how to do it and you're like just do this just do this just do this
That's how you would feel if you're a younger
Kid watching me play call of duty like i'm like
Uh when I go ads i'm just I can't hit people. I can't
I can't deal with the what do they call it?
When it moves your gun up and down when you shoot shoot recoil, I just, I am so garbage at those games.
So I play sports games, like I play 2k, I play Madden, uh, college football has been great, MLB,
I love all sports games. I also love story games about good stuff, like Ghost of Tsushima is my
favorite video game of all time. The Batman Arkham series absolutely fantastic. Love
games like that. Adventure games that aren't too difficult. I suck at games that are too difficult
but I do play Apex Legends just to get a little bit different something in there even though I'm
terrible at it but those are the kinds of games that I play. I get to play video games a lot less
nowadays though. My poor PS5 all alone. Tyler, another person named Tyler.
It wasn't just me asking myself.
I know it'll seem like that,
but how's the golf game these days?
Shot a 39 in my league last week.
First time I've ever broke 40 on nine holes.
I know some of you out there are laughing
because that's embarrassing to you,
but it's great for me.
Very hype.
It's very good.
Got a golf trip coming up.
Super excited.
Jake B says,
if you had to pick one Tennessee Titan past or present to star as Superman,
who would it be? I'm going with Derek Henry.
Look at him. He's Superman.
No doubt about it. Give me Derek Henry.
But a little propaganda. Superman is a great movie.
You guys should definitely go check it out.
But with that being said, that's going to do it for me today, folks.
As always, I am your host, Tyler Rowland, and this was Locked on Titans.
Training camp next week, baby!
