Locked On Titans - Daily Podcast On The Tennessee Titans - Tennessee Titans DRAFT VISITS START: First Round Options, Trade Back Targets & Late Round Steals
Episode Date: March 27, 2026The Tennessee Titans are less than a month away from the NFL Draft and that means draft visits are rolling in and some of the top options in the first round have already met with the team or will soon... like Jeremiyah Love, Rueben Bain and Carnell Tate. The Titans are also seemingly keeping their eye on some guys who could be options in a trade-down scenario like Makai Lemon, KC Concepcion and Mansoor Delane. The draft is more than just one round though so of course some potential names for the later rounds are coming to Nashville like Zion Young and Treydan Stukes along with some Day 3 offensive linemen. At this time, it is important to remember these visits don't necessarily indicate interest, but a need to gather more information for one reason or another, positive or negative. The Tennessee Titans draft visits are rolling in, but they may not mean exactly what you think.
I'll explain on today's edition of Locked on Titans.
You are Locked on Titans, your daily Tennessee Titans podcast, part of the Locked On Podcast Network,

Welcome to the Locked on Titans podcast.
I am your host, Tyler Rowland Titans fans on today's show.
We are going to talk about all of the Locked Titans podcast.
We are going to talk about all of the official 30 visits.
The Tennessee Titans have had with draft prospects so far.
They've talked to a couple of guys who could be options at number four.
A couple of guys who I think are options in a trade down.
And of course, they're doing a little bit of homework on some guys
that could go later in the draft as well.
I'll tell you every single name that we know so far.
Plus, I'll tell you why draft visits aren't always exactly what you think they are.
Before we dive in, do want to thank you for making Locked on Titans.

The draft is less than a month away.
The Titans are going to be back out on the field in April.
So much coming our way.
Make sure that you stay locked in with the number one Tennessee Titans podcast in the world.
Locked on Titans.
But with that being said, again, the Tennessee Titans have begun their authority.
official draft visits and if you remember, they had their very first visit with Jeremiah Love
a couple of weeks ago when he was in Nashville and we were all going crazy at that point in time
but love was just the beginning because there are more options on the board.
But again, we start with Jeremiah Love and he was the number one guy that they brought into Nashville
and they want to tick off some of their top four options at the very beginning.
And Love obviously a strong contender for the number four pick,
Playmaker can help Cam Ward, can take the Titans run game to a new level.
Yes, it's a bit of a controversial pick at number four with running back positional value,
the contract value, all of that stuff.
But make no mistake about it, Jeremiah Love is 100% an option for the Titans at the top of the draft
and bringing him in to kind of check all the boxes, confirm everything, who he is as a person,
how he would fit in the locker room, let him meet some teammates, things like that.
That's what the Titans want to do.
That's what these draft visits are about.
That brings me to the point that I really want to make here,
is that draft visits aren't always what you might think they are.
Yes, the Titans are interested in a player.
They wouldn't bring in a player that they weren't interested in for a visit.
But a lot of the times, rather than just,
oh, we want to bring this player in and, you know,
have an official visit with him because we like him.
A lot of the time it's to confirm something.
Remember, I forget a couple of years ago it was,
I think it was J.C. Latham, where the Titans didn't really have a good first draft meeting with J.C.
Latham. When they met with him at the Combine, it didn't necessarily go great.
So they had to make sure that they brought him back for an extra visit.
Now, whether this is J.C. Latham or not, I may be misremembering on this,
but it was a prospect that went in the first round for the Titans,
and it was during the Rancarthorn time.
So that's either Peter Skoransky or J.C. Latham,
and I don't think that it was Peter Skoronsky.
But regardless, the point is that the 30 visit that the Titans had wasn't about, hey, let's just confirm and get to know you.
It was, we didn't really like our first interaction.
Let's double back and see how the second one goes and see if it can improve.
Not only can it be something like that, but it can be a medical exam.
Hey, we want to get our doctor's hands on you.
Not just the doctors at the combine.
We want to do our own measurements, our own testing, things like that.
it can be character questions as well.
Hey, we want to have a whole day with you.
We want to go to dinner with you
and we kind of want to stress test
who you are as a person.
We want to ask direct questions
about this interaction you may have had.
Think about David Bailey.
For example, the Titans haven't had a 30 visit
with David Bailey yet.
That hasn't been reported or confirmed or anything
but David Bailey has had some off-field issues.
He pushed a guy after a game.
There was a choking incident.
There's, you know, these other little things that we'll talk about when we get more into David Bailey as a player,
which we absolutely need to do.
But again, the point is that these 30 visits, when you hear the names,
it doesn't always necessarily mean that the Titans are interested in the player often than not.
It means that the Titans have lingering questions about a player that they need to get answered.
So it's not just, hey, we like you, we're going to have you in.
It's, hey, we're wondering about this specific thing.
We need to bring you in to check on that.
So you got to keep that in the back of your mind with some of these names
that they may not be players that the Titans are super interested in per se,
like we're going to take you, but we have questions.
And Ruben Bain is another guy who hasn't had his 30 visit yet with the Titans,
but did say in a recent interview that he has one planned with the Tennessee Titans.
So Jeremiah Love, Ruben Bain, two of my favorite options at number four for the Tennessee Titans.
And if we want to go with the last guy that we've heard that I think would be an option at number four,
Carnell Tate.
And Carnel Tate just had his 30 visit, or just had his pro day at Ohio State and wowed the crowd.
He's a smooth mover.
He's 6 foot 3.
Well, he's 6 foot 2 and some change, a little bit shorter than people expected.
We were hearing 6 foot 4 during the season.
Turns out he's not even 6 foot 3.
He's a little lower than that.
But smooth mover, you know, decent route runner.
I don't think he's a great route runner.
or short, and we'll talk more about Carnell Tate again as we get through the draft process.
But to me, out of all the guys that they've had meetings with so far,
those are the only three that could be an option at number four.
And if we're honest, I would not want Carnell Tate at number four.
I don't think that would be a good pick for the Tennessee Titans.
I don't see the value there.
I don't see Carnell Tate as a number one wide receiver in the NFL.
And if you're not a number one wide receiver in the NFL,
I can't take you over Jeremiah Love, Ruben Bain, David Bain,
Arvel Reese. That just doesn't line up to me. Now, I'll be honest with you. I would take
Carnell Tate over Sunny Stiles or Caleb Downs, one of those options, but I like Jordan Tyson
better. I like McCoy Lemon better than Carnell Tate. The NFL seems to feel differently
about that. You know, I have people who don't know that I'm an Ohio State Buckeye fan who
are Buckeyes fans who get in my comments and tell me, oh, you just hate the Buckeyes.
I'm from Ohio.
I've loved the Buckeyes longer than I've loved the Titans.
I've watched every game Carnell Tate has ever played in his college career.
So you can't tell me that I have some raging bias against the Buckeyes
when that's my favorite team, you know what I mean?
But I think the only person that I've ever liked maybe more than I should have
was C.J. Stratt that came out of Ohio State.
I'm not that high on Sunny Stiles.
I talked about that with you guys earlier this week.
I'm not that high on Caleb Down.
so I'm not some guy who's, you know, got this raging Buckeye bias.
I like the Mecca Abuka a lot.
I was all over that.
Big fan.
JSN wasn't as high on him.
Maybe I should have been, obviously.
Might be the best wide receiver in the NFL.
But the point is,
I don't have a bias against Carnell Tate,
like some people think I do,
who don't know that I'm from Ohio and I'm a Buckeye.
So I just don't see alpha wide receiver in Carnell Tate.
He doesn't have yards after catch.
I don't think that his contested catchability
is going to translate as well to the NFL.
To me, he's Alec Pierce.
And would you take Alec Pierce with the number four pick in the draft?
I would.
I would not.
So that's how I feel there.
But again, I would be foolish to sit here on the show
and tell you guys that he's not an option at number four.
Again, there's a difference here for me
that some people can't seem to figure out
that what I want doesn't necessarily translate
to what the Titans want.
I can tell you all I want that I don't think
that Carnell Tate should be taken at number four.
That doesn't mean the Titans aren't going to take Carnell Tate
at number four.
They very well met.
They may see him as that alpha number one wide receiver.
And the reality here is, and I'm going to be honest,
when it's time to evaluate Carnell Tate
and we have a full discussion about him,
he does bring a lot of good stuff to the table.
And I've talked about how you need long arm,
contested catch, perimeter receipts,
receivers to help Cam Ward with his deep outside accuracy issues.
And from a fit standpoint,
Carnell Tate as a big-bodied, long arm, contested catch, skill set guy,
who's a perimeter receiver,
like, all of that does kind of match up with what I told you that Cam Ward needs
and what the Titans need to build around Cam Ward.
I just don't like the value at number four.
That's all that it comes down to.
I don't like the value at number four,
because for me, an alpha wide receiver has to be a yards after catch guy.
Has to be somebody who runs short and intermediate routes well
who can be a chain mover for you.
And I don't necessarily see that with Carnell Tate.
But again, just because I don't see it,
doesn't mean that Mike Morgonzi may not see it.
And if we are keeping it a buck, like Cam Ward likes to say,
everything that I've told you that the Titans need to do to build around Cam Ward,
Carnell Tate does happen.
So between Jeremiah Love, Rubin Bain, and Carlton,
Parnell Tate, those are the three guys who have had visits so far,
who I think are real options at number four,
who would be your favorite out of those three guys.
But the Titans are also sniffing around guys
who would be trade-down targets as well,
and I think that's a very interesting conversation in and of itself.
Do want to let you guys know that today's episode is brought to you by indeed.

And let's continue today's edition of the Locked on Titans podcast.
Again, we're going over every official draft visit.
The Tennessee Titans have had so far.
It's a list of about 10 to 12 names.
but the top three names are the options I think make sense at number four
between Jeremiah Love, Rubin Bain, and Carnell Tate,
but the Titans are sniffing around trade-down options as well.
And I find that even more intriguing than the guys that we already know are options
where the Titans are at right now at number four.
If the Tennessee Titans are able to trade down,
I think it would be a good move.
I have talked about this draft class at length.
This is not a good draft class up top.
How many Blue Chip prospects are actually in this class?
one, Jeremiah Love.
I'm not, I'm not convinced that Caleb Downs is a blue chip prospect.
I don't subscribe to that.
I think Caleb Downs is a good safety prospect,
but he isn't as good as Kyle Hamilton or Derwin James was to me.
I think they were better prospects.
And Derwin James was considered a blue chip.
Kyle Hamilton was, Kyle Hamilton went 14th, you know?
So I don't see, I see Caleb Downs as a good safety.
first round pick.
But I don't see Caleb Downs as a blue chipper.
And Sonny Stiles,
maybe a blue chip linebacker.
But I talked to you earlier this week about the bust rate for linebackers.
There have been five linebackers, four really,
that were good enough to get second contracts with their teams
that have been drafted in the first round since 2009.
That's not a good rate.
I don't feel comfortable taking an offball linebacker in the first round.
Last time the Titans didn't did it.
It was Rashon Evans.
How'd that turnout?
you know, and to take one at four, don't love that.
So, blue chip prospect, probably only Jeremiah Love.
And there were people out there who debate whether Jeremiah,
is Jeremiah Love as good as Bejon Robinson?
Is he as good as Adrian Peterson?
Is he as good as Jamir Gibbs?
That's a debate.
Not one that we're having today, but that's a debate.
So you could even, there could be people out there.
And I wouldn't call you crazy if you said there are,
no blue chip prospects in this draft. None. Zero.
Ruben Bain, short arms, hasn't been a guy with his short of arms to get 10 plus sacks in the
NFL in 20 years. Rvel Reese, what position does he play? At Ohio State, he didn't have great
bend around those bags. Now, it's just bag work, but is he truly an offball linebacker, not an
edge? David Bailey, the rigidness, the lack of flexibility in the ankles and the flexion and
the lower body. That's a concern. Can he play against the run? Is he a three-down player?
There are no Miles Garrits, Will Anderson's, Malik neighbors, Joe All. The Titans kind of got
screwed. They kind of got screwed. So I say all of that preamble to make the point that this is
not a very good draft class up top. And are we certain that
you know, some of the guys that could go from 10 to 15, from 10 to 18,
aren't better players, or at least on par,
with the guys who could go top five?
I don't think you can be certain.
And this draft class specifically makes it even more enticing to trade down.
And that's why when the Titans have guys in for a visit like Mackay Lemon,
Mansour Delane, KC. Concepcion.
And again, is it Conception? Is it Concepcion?
Like the old baseball player from the Reds.
Who really knows? Concepcion sounds cool.
cooler. So I'm going to rock with that.
But
the Titans are bringing in. Again,
Mackay Lemon, Mansour Delane,
Casey Conception
for official draft
visits. They would not
waste
official visits
if they didn't have some interest
or wanted to at least check a box that they
weren't certain about.
Mackay Lemon.
Personality. He had a weird interview
with the Combine. Seems like a
strange West Coast character.
Casey Conception just recently had a knee scope.
I bet the Titans wanted to bring him in and check on that themselves.
How does that knee look?
Monsore Delane, I haven't heard anything bad about him character-wise
and I'm unaware of anything injury-wise,
so maybe that is purely we're interested.
But think about those names.
If the Titans were to trade back to 8, 9, 10, 11, 12,
If they were to trade back into those range,
I think all those names make sense.
Now, I think KC
would be the one where people would go, wait a minute,
KC, I take him in the second round of my mock drafts.
Why would the Titans take it?
I think the NFL is higher on KC conception than you are.
He is explosive.
He's got some drop issues, but let me say this,
and this is going to be controversial.
I can already see the comments.
Drops are overrated.
I've been making this point for a long time.
Go look at the guys who are top in the NFL and drops.
You're going to find the best receivers in the NFL.
Drops happen.
Drops are overrated.
So, if the Titans traded back
again to 10, 11, 12, 13, somewhere in there,
and they took Casey Conception over Jordan Tyson
with the injury issues,
over Mackay Lemon, who is a smaller, predominantly slot-wide receiver.
When you have Wondale Robinson, you just gave $70 million and Chim D.K. and Calvin Ridley,
all who might be best in the slot.
Would I be shocked if the Titans took Casey Conception?
Would I be upset if the Titans did that?
No, I wouldn't.
I would not mind.
I think he's an explosive player.
And you get him in motion and you get him isolated again.
somebody, he's going to whoop them.
And the yards after catch ability,
to me, what matters most
to be an alpha number one wide receiver,
a true superstar wide receiver
is yards after catch.
Who's the only alpha wide receiver
over the last 10 years who didn't have yards after catch ability?
Mike Evans.
End list.
You know? Maybe I'm missing one or two guys.
But heck, even a guy like a T. Higgins
who would be a low-end, very low-end number-one wide receiver.
Even he has some yak ability to him, break some tackles, make some guys miss.
So, Lemon, I would be shocked, honestly, if the Titans took Mackay Lemon.
I mean, now you're just, you have only slot receivers.
But would I be mad?
No, McCoy Lemon's a dog.
I like Mackay Lemon.
So, if the Titans traded down and got Mackay Lemon as their first pick,
that would be nasty.
Monsor Delane is the best cornerback in the entire draft.
Dude gave up like 10 catches for 140 yards all year.
Didn't give up a touchdown.
I'm pretty sure he didn't allow any player
to have multiple catches in a game all year.
So, yeah, they added Cordell Flot and Alante Taylor.
But Alante Taylor could play inside in the slot.
And if you had Cordell Flot,
Monsor Delane,
on the outside and Alante Taylor on the inside,
that's just downright nasty cornerback trio.
You can never have too many good cornerbacks.
And then again, it's not just about these players.
If you want to, you know, get in the comment section and say,
I don't like this player, I don't like this player, I don't like this play,
I don't like this player.
It's that player plus the draft capital, the Titans got to move back.
and if the Titans are moving back to 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, somewhere in there,
they're probably getting an extra first round pick next year.
Or it'd be a team that has an extra first round pick this year.
What if the Titans got 16, 33,
and a first rounder next year from the Jets to move back to 16?
and then they took KC. Conception.
That's a nasty package.
And I would argue that that is better
than Jeremiah Love by himself at 4
or Ruben Bain by himself at 4 or David Bailey
as a matter of fact, I will stand on it right now.
That is better.
I would rather have Casey Conception or Mackay Lemon
plus a 2027 first
and pick number 33
over Rubin Bain or Jeremiah Love or David Bailey
or R. Val Reese even,
who's my number one play in the draft.
Not even a question.
I'll stand on that right now.
So, the fact that the Titans are using their 30 visits
to either A, double check or B, just confirm
that they like these guys,
that has my brain moving.
Are they talking trade packages?
What about 12 and 20 from the Cowboys?
I'm just saying that the options are endless at this point in time.
But with that being said,
we've got to talk about some of these guys
who the Titans have had in on 30.
visits who are more later options, second round and beyond.
Do want to let you guys know that today's episode is brought to you by Home Chef.

of those new flavors that I just mentioned,
like the fruity rainbow, the cotton candy, the confetti craze.
Go with a classic like the cherry or the berry or the strawberry banana.
But for me, my number one pick is the concord grape,
the grape flavor.
Again, it's got that Concord grape flavor that's similar to grape juice or candy,
smooth almost syrup-like in the fruit profile.
It's a consistent, straightforward taste.
But if I had to go with a sleeper,
I'd go with the peach mango.
You got that right peach flavor on the first sip.
Then that mango comes in to add that tropical depth
in sweetness. It's absolutely fantastic.

But with that being said, again, now we get into some guys who would make sense later in the draft.
And maybe I'm wrong about this.
Maybe I should have had this player who I'm about to tell you
in the trade down group.
It's Edge Zion Young out of Missouri.
All right.
I think he would be a great option for the Titans
at the top of the second round.
But there's a lot of buzz right now
that he may be a late first rounder, somewhere 20 or below
because he just has elite size.
6 foot 5, 262 pounds,
33 and a half inch arms.
He is a 3rd.
physical and violent edge setter.
He is a block destructor.
He has a great bull rush, great motor.
He is the type of secondary rusher.
Again, I talked about this with Jermaine Johnson and Femiola Dacia.
To me, he is a better version of Femiola Dajio,
a cleaner, more experienced guy in the Femiola Dajio mold.
Is he a guy with quickness off the line of scrimmage?
Great Ben, no, he's not.
But in the NFL nowadays, you need that kind of rusher on the edge that can be that power guy and push the pocket back.
And let's be honest.
When you watch a football game on Sundays, how often is there a clean sack?
Boom, clean move straight to the quarterback, done.
It's not as often as there's a cleanup sack where there's good coverage, nobody's there,
there's some pressure up the middle, the quarterback starts to move around, there's nowhere to go,
and somebody takes them down.
That's a clean-up sack.
So, if you're being honest,
there's more of that than there is clean wins.
And a guy like Zion Young for a team that,
you know, maybe already has that alpha-rusher
or wants to continue to pile on effort rushers,
he would be a great option.
And that's why, you know,
maybe as high as 15 to the Buccaneers,
22 to the Chargers.
Could make some sense.
Like, Zion Young could be a guy,
that could be a tradeback option for the Titans
if they move back far enough.
But for right now,
I'm going to call them a second round option.
But again, really like Zion Young.
I will say this, though.
Again, he's not a speed rusher.
And I think the Titans need a speed rusher
because they have a guy like Jermaine Johnson.
They have a guy like Femiole-Dajio.
They can play John Franklin Myers
at edge on early downs
to be that physical edge setter.
So I don't know if the need for that
is high enough for me.
Like, I've come off Zion Young
a little bit to some other options.
But if the Titans are bringing them in for a visit,
odds are that they are interested.
But with that being said,
the next guy is in the defensive backfield.
That's trading Stukes.
The defensive back out of Arizona.
Versional.
Now, I think he could be a third round,
maybe a late second rounder.
If the Titans do a trade back
like what they did last year,
and they move back into the last year,
late 40s or early 50s, I think Stoaks could make some sense at that point.
But any higher than that, I don't know that I like it.
But he's just incredibly versatile.
He's played outside corner.
He's played slot.
He's played safety.
He's a great athlete.
Incredible athlete, good testing, and ball skills.
11 pass breakups.
He's had a ton of interceptions.
He plays the ball well in the air like a wide receiver.
He's not scared of the ball when he's backplayed.
He doesn't lose it, you know what I mean?
Like a lot of defensive backs do.
That's a true playmaker.
And if you want to play Alante Taylor on the outside, Cordell Flott on the outside,
and then have a guy like Trading Stukes, maybe play your slot position,
and maybe take over for Amani Hooker as a full-time safety eventually,
I see the fit there.
Now, the issue is he's lean,
doesn't necessarily have great length,
hasn't played true deep free safety a ton.
I think my guy James Foster said only 19 snaps.
Actually, back deep is a free safety.
So how does that fit with Amani Hooker and Kevin Winston who,
I don't know if they're true free safeties either.
I wouldn't want to use them in that way.
Also, he's an older prospect and he's had a lot of injuries.
Not good in man coverage, but man, he can do a lot.
And some of the exotic zone coverages that I've seen Robert Sala run on tape,
Stoog's can do all of that.
So it makes sense that the Titans are interested in him.
Just with the injury history, that's probably why they're bringing him in.
Hey, we want to let our doctors get a look at you there.
Now, going down the list a little bit more, we have two, day three, offensive linemen.
First, Tristan Lee out of Clemson, 6.4, 308, 34-inch arms.
All right.
Lee is a great athlete.
really good athlete, really good mover,
can get up to the second level.
Guys like that are typically better in pass protection
because they aren't as off balance
against the athleticism of edges.
He's got a ton of experience,
started a lot of games.
The problem is 6-4-308,
that's pretty lean.
He does not have good power.
He can get knocked off balance pretty easily,
and that's why he's a day-three option.
But if they want to bring in Tristan Lee,
as someone who could potentially take over for Dan Moore. Maybe
they look at him as a versatile guy who could play guard.
I've seen some scouting reports say that maybe he could play guard.
Maybe he's a guard option for him.
That could make sense as well.
And then the last guy is Travis Burke.
He is interesting.
Out of Memphis, 6 foot 8,
325 pounds, 34-inch arms.
That, my friends, is an offensive tackle.
And his hands, when you have really good length and also strong hands,
that's devastating to edge rushers.
Because you can get your hands to them quicker because your arms are longer.
And if you get your hands on them and lock them up, they're done.
And Travis Burke has incredibly strong hands.
Great pop in his hands.
And he plays nasty.
He wants to put you in the dirt.
And I love seeing that.
Showed good IQ on stunts and twists and stuff like that,
which is very important at the next level with all the movement you see.
from defensive lines from the NFL.
The problem is he's 6'8, 325 pounds.
Take a guess at what he's not good at.
Speed.
Movement. Getting up to the second level.
Recovery if he gets beat.
His get off the line of scrimmage, he's slow.
Now, you could help some of that with technique.
But again, he's 6'8, 325 pounds.
You're not going to make him into the type of athlete
that a guy like Tristan Lee is.
but I would love to have Travis Burke
round 5
pick 142
line it up
I'm in
so the Titans are sniffing around
day 3 offensive line
and I love seeing that
because that's exactly where they should be looking to strike
for some development guys
again I did a mock draft earlier this week
I went offensive line
101 142 and 144
let's attack it
the Titans did offensive weapons last year.
Yeah, we might not have the draft capital
to get high-level offensive linemen prospects in the top 100,
but we can hammer that position
and throw a bunch of resources at it in the mid-round and see what sticks.
So, with that being said though, that is going to do it for me today, folks.
As always, I am your host, Tyler Rowland,
and this was Locked on Titans.
