Locked On Titans - Daily Podcast On The Tennessee Titans - Tennessee Titans IN ON Jeremiyah Love After ESPN's Adam Schefter CHANGES TUNE in Recent Interview
Episode Date: April 14, 2026The Tennessee Titans seem to be the most popular fit with Jeremiyah Love which is why it was a bit of surprise when about a month ago ESPN's Adam Schefter said on his podcast the Titans were not in on... Love at the top of the NFL Draft. Theories ran wild at the time about why Schefter would say this and how true it might be, but on Tuesday, he sang a different tune. Schefter said during an ESPN television appearance that Love could go to the Titans at four. Now, whether Schefter is being truthful or doesn't have any sourced information, this is great news for Love Nuts as it takes the only big-time public detractor out of the equation. Realistically, the Titans are down to one of the edges, Love, Carnell Tate or Sonny Styles as their choice at 4. The NFL's biggest insider just changed his tune about Jeremiah Love in the Tennessee Titans,
and I think it's great news for anyone who wants to see Love in the first round.
I'll explain why on today's edition of Locked on Titans.
You are Locked on Titans, your daily Tennessee Titans podcast, part of the Locked On Podcast network,
your team every day.
Welcome to the Locked on Titans podcast.
I am your host, Tyler Ruland Titans.
fans on today's show.
We're going to talk about Adam Shepter
changing his tune on the Titans
and Jeremiah Love and why I think
it's a great sign for anyone who wants
to see Love drafted in the first round.
We're also going to talk about how this
makes the Titans options in the
first round much more clear
as we move into the final week
before the draft starts. Before we dive into
all of it, do want to thank you for making Locked-on
Titans. Your first listen

Friday. Couldn't do it without you guys. If you aren't an everydayer, you need to be one again.
The draft a little over a week away if you want to be as up to date, as informed, as entertained
as a Tennessee Titans fan could possibly be, make sure that you stay locked in with the number
one Tennessee Titans podcast in the world locked on Titans. With that being said though, again,
Adam Schepter changing his tune about Jeremiah Love and the Tennessee Titans on Tuesday morning on ESPN.
I find it very interesting.
He said this, quote, it's hard to imagine he won't be a high pick, Jeremiah Love.
Maybe he goes four to the Titans, five to the Giants.
And he went on to talk about the connection with Washington and why Washington is maybe a floor for Jeremiah Love.
but either way, that's very interesting.
Because just a month ago, on this program here,
we talked about how Adam Schaefter went on his own podcast
and said, quote,
that would surprise me if he's at 4.
Love Watch starts at 5 with the New York Giants.
So a month ago, just a month ago,
Adam Schepter would have been surprised
if Jeremiah Love was the Titans pick
at number four. But now, a month later and more importantly, much closer to the NFL draft,
now he's talking as if Jeremiah Love could go to the Titans at number four. He would no longer be
surprised by that. Maybe he goes for to the Titans. It doesn't sound like it would be a surprising move.
He, hard to imagine he won't be a high pick. So now it would have, it would have been a surprise if he
went to the Titans at number four, but now it's hard to imagine he won't be a high pick. What's changed
Adam? Why the change in tone?
Well, I think there's two different options.
And again, no matter which option is the truth,
both of them are good for my love nuts out there,
the Jeremiah lovers who want love or bust at number four.
Boy, that's a minefield to navigate right there.
But I think it's great news.
No matter which direction you want to go.
Because let's look at the directions here.
Did Adam Schepter change his tone about love in the titan?
because, A, he was lying.
He was lying a month ago.
He knew that the Titans could take Jeremiah Love.
He was just lying.
Well, why would he lie?
As I theorized back at the time,
there was at least the possibility
that he was trying to protect the pick for the Titans.
You guys know, I'm not getting into NFL media relations
and everything with the climate right now.
But I'm just saying how this works is,
Adam Schaefter, I will give you this piece of information,
this behind the scenes, this sourced information.
I will be a relationship with you.
I'll give you sourced information about the Titans
or answer this question for you or this and that.
But in return, I need you to say that we're not interested in Jeremiah Love
so that no one trades up in front of us to take him away.
I don't want anybody trade up with the Arizona Cardinals to take love
because they know that the Titans really like love.
So if you could, I will tell you about this.
You should go on your show or at least report publicly that, you know,
say publicly in a low-key way.
Titans aren't interested.
Don't need to trade in front of them.
You know what I mean?
That's how the give-and-take goes.
The give-and-take can be a little crazier, as we all see,
but that's how it can go.
So that path, if he was lying,
that means he was trying to help the Titans.
So that means that the Titans actually do want Jeremiah Love
and he's trying to prevent someone to trade in front of them.
That means that they do actually like Jeremiah Love, boom.
Now the other path, which I think is the much more reasonable path,
it's the much more likely and logical path
as to why Adam Schaefter has changed his tone.
It's just simply he was uninformed.
He gave his opinion at the time.
How can you really know what everybody's going to do?
It's a month ago in the draft process.
He was just on his podcast talking about,
football and gave his opinion that he would be surprised if the Titans were in on Jeremiah Love.
He just did not know. And now we sit a week away from the draft and he's much more informed
and has talked to people and has talked to maybe some people in Tennessee or at least people
who know of and this and that. He's done his research, done his homework per se.
And now he knows, yeah, the Titans would take Jeremiah Love at number four.
I was misinformed.
So, was he lying?
Because if he was, then he was helping the Titans who actually do like Jeremiah Love.
If he was misinformed and just didn't know that the Titans actually like Jeremiah Love,
well, now he does know that.
So either way, if you want Jeremiah Love, it's good news for you.
There is no logical path that doesn't end with the Titans liking Jeremiah Love.
and that at the end of the day
makes it so much
like we just know exactly
we know exactly what the four options are
at the top of the draft
and if they stick and pick at number four
it's just obvious what the choices are
so let's just talk about where we're at right now
again just a little over a week
out from the NFL draft
do want to let you guys know

Let's continue today's bonus edition of the Locked-on Titans podcast.
Again, we talked about Adam Schepter changing his tune on the Titans and Jeremiah Love
and why all of those signs, no matter what you want to believe it was,
point to the Titans being very interested in Jeremiah Love at number four and again.
The choices are clear at this point.
That's why this week we're doing our Titans' trio mock drafts.
where we do a three-round mock draft three different times,
starting with the same player in round one
and seeing what different combinations we can put together,
see what is best.
We did Jeremiah Love on the very first episode,
and I think that that's because, in my opinion,
he's the most likely choice at this time.
And this, you know, not that we needed Adam Schefter to change his tone,
change the tune or whatever, to know.
Like, I feel like we all knew anyways
that the Titans were interested in Jeremiah Love,
but this just kind of, you know, there's nobody out there
who's saying that the Titans aren't interested in Jeremiah Love.
There may be people saying that they don't think the Titans should take Jeremiah Love.
There are people saying that, you know, throughout the national media.
Don't take a running back top five when you're a bad team.
You know, the normal stuff that you hear when running back's this good or in the draft.
But now Adam Schaefter is saying this.
That eliminates anybody who's saying like, oh, I don't know that the Titans are in
on Jeremiah Love.
Like Daniel Jeremiah said they weren't in on Rubin Bain.
And other than Adam Schaefter,
no one else has said that the Titans aren't in on love.
So it just eliminates any like, oh man, maybe they wouldn't do that.
Like it's all across the board.
It's definitely a real possibility.
Now, again, I will say I think they would take the edge rushers first.
I think they'd take David Bailey or R. Val Reese over Jeremiah Love.
I believe that.
But I just don't think they're going to get that possibility.
but again, because that is what I think,
I think edge rusher,
if one of those guys falls to four,
they're going to be the pick if the Titans can't trade back.
I think the Titans would trade back more than anything,
but maybe they can't do that.
People just always say trade back, trade back, trade back.
Well, what if no one wants to trade up?
You can't, you know, it's not like Madden where you just get sent,
you know, 10 offers to scroll through.
Sometimes there isn't an offer that's good enough.
Sometimes there isn't an offer at all.
So I think the Titans would take a trade back over anything
Personally, not everyone agrees with me on that, but I do
But if they don't get a trade, it's edge, it's Jeremiah Love,
And then I think ultimately
Sunny Stiles and Carnell Tate
Have to at least be
On the board.
There are at least people in the room saying
Well, what about Stiles or Tate?
And for different reasons.
And we'll talk about those as we look at their mock drafts
and we're going to do more tonight.
But like, I think one of the edge rushers,
Jeremiah loves, Sunny Stiles, Carnell Tate,
those are the only realistic options that they could pick in my opinion.
Nobody else.
And trade back would be the fifth option in there.
Those are the only five realistic paths at this time.
They're not going to take Ruben Bain.
They're not going to take one of the offensive linemen.
they're obviously not taking a quarterback.
You know, I don't think that they would take any of the other wide receivers
at number four.
I don't think that they would take Caleb Downs.
So I don't think those are realistic paths for the Titans.
It's these five.
Edge, love, styles, tape, tradeback.
That's it.
Those are the paths.
And again, a tradeback, I think is the least likely
even though it's the one that I hope for the most.
You know what I'm saying?
So, with that in mind,
do want to remind you guys
that the winner of the Love Triangle's mock draft competition
was Love Triangle number three,
Jeremiah Love, Keelon Rutledge in the second round,
and then Ted Hurst in the third round.
And then the winner of the Findin Edge
mock trios
was number one.
my favorite personally.
One of the edges.
Chase Passantis, the guard
in the second round, and then Ted Hurst
at wide receiver.
So it's very clear that the combination
of Ted Hurst in the third round
and interior offensive line in the second round
is one that people are very much enjoying.
And I wonder if when we do
sunny styles, if it'll just be styles
and then that combination
will be very interesting.
I'm going to have to mix it up on you guys
so that we can't just pick a guard in Ted Hurst
because what if Ted Hurst isn't there?
Which he wasn't in two of the mock drafts
that I did yesterday when I was doing the edges.
And two of those, he did not end up being there at 66,
which was very interesting.
But with that being said,
that is going to do it for today's bonus edition.
As always, I am your host, Tyler Rowland,
and this was Locked on Titans.
