Not only that, but LeJarius Sneed changes the way the Tennessee Titans should handle the NFL draft. I'm going to go over a quick four-round mock draft to demonstrate why,
Starting point is 00:01:23 and this is the beginning of the Tennessee Titans Super Bowl window. So I'm going to go over how LeJarrius Sneed changes everything on today's show. Before we get into it, thank you for making the Locked on Titans podcast your first listen each and every day. We're going to do a deep dive into LeJarrius Sneed's profile as a player, how he fits within the defense. We're going to break down his contract, address some concerns.
Starting point is 00:02:08 So much going on this week here on the Locked on Titans podcast. Again, make sure you get subscribed. Stay subscribed. 20,000 views on the LeJarrius Sneed reaction video. Thank you guys all so much for more free Titans content. Again, make sure that you get subscribed here to the Locked on Titans podcast. But with that being said,
Starting point is 00:02:26 it is time to talk playoffs for the Tennessee Titans. Like, there is no question about it now that LeJarius Sneed has moved the calculus from what I thought was, you know, a good team that could fight for the playoffs to where the Titans are at right now with just the signings that they've made. knowing that the NFL draft is going to allow them to add
Starting point is 00:02:49 players as well. This is a playoff team. The Tennessee Titans need to make the playoffs. So let me know down below, what is your record prediction for the Tennessee Titans right now before the LeJarius Sneed trade? right now before the LeJarius Sneed trade. In my opinion, the Titans were a team that was looking at like 7-10. They could maybe go 9-8.
Starting point is 00:03:13 Floor, 7-10. Ceiling, 9-8. Now that you add one of the best cornerbacks in the entire NFL to add to the pieces you already have on defense, for me, the Tennessee Titans floor is eight and nine now, and their ceiling is 11 and six. If the Tennessee Titans handle business in the NFL draft with what they've done so far, including the cherry on top, adding LeJarrius Sneed, this is a team that could go 10 and seven, 11-6, and really make a push into the playoffs to try to win the division like LeJarius Sneed moves the needle this much, in my opinion.
Starting point is 00:03:51 Sneed moves the needle, and I think that the Titans have gone from, you know, a playoff contender, I guess someone who is contending to get into the playoffs, a bubble team. The Titans have gone from a bubble team to a team that absolutely can win their division, to a team that can have a home playoff game. Not just because of the free agency stuff and adding LeJarrius Sneed, but the draft is still in a month. The Tennessee Titans are still going to be able to add some high-level players to this team. So for me, again, LeJarrius Sneed and adding him to what the Titans already have with the understanding the draft comes next, this has changed my view of the Titans' window of opportunity for this season.
Starting point is 00:04:32 So where I thought, you know, again, 7-10 and 9-8, now I'm seeing 8-9 to 10-7 to maybe 11-6 if the Titans really hit a home run in the NFL draft. Think about what the Titans already have on defense, guys. Like, we talk about the defense like it's in shambles. The Titans already had a Monty Hooker. They had Cheeto. Then we have Harold Landry and Jeffrey Simmons on the D-line.
Starting point is 00:04:58 Like, this Tennessee Titans defense didn't go from what we saw last year to all of a sudden they're all bums out there. Like, I know they lost Danico Autry. I know they lost Aziz Alshire. I know that. But the Titans still have, again, Harold Landry, double-digit sack guy on the edge. Jeffrey Simmons, one of the top five, top three
Starting point is 00:05:16 interior defensive line players in the entire NFL. So you have two studs on the defensive line. Now you add in having a Monty Hooker, a ball hawk in the back end with the two cornerbacks that the Titans added here in Cheeto. They added Cheeto and I was already hyped. But you add LeJarius Sneed on top of it. It's the cherry on top of the sundae. Don't forget, the Tennessee Titans have a ton of talent
Starting point is 00:05:40 on the defensive side of the ball already. So yes, they need another linebacker. They need some more defensive line help. They need another safety. These are all non-premium positions. Inside linebacker, safety, interior defensive line, like a nose tackle type, not a three tackle like Jeffrey Simmons. These are non-premium defensive positions
Starting point is 00:06:02 that you could still go out and get guys, like a Sebastian Joseph. Look at Sebastian Joseph. That is a perfect example of, that's not going to knock the socks off anybody, but that is exactly what the Titans need is an interior defender who could just be an average starter for them so that they could pay the premium positions of three-tech pass rusher, edge rusher, top-tier cornerbacks. Like, Legereus Need has pushed this team over the top,
Starting point is 00:06:28 in my opinion, of what they've done, this free agency. You add the additions on offense with Pollard and Cushenberry and Calvin Ridley. Like, this is a playoff team. So to me, one of the big things that stands out from the LeJarrius Sneed trade, other than him as just being a fantastic player, is this allows the Titans to truly compete to be a division winner,
Starting point is 00:06:48 to win a playoff game potentially in the division. Just think, in the Titans division, LeJarrius Sneed is going to go up against Nico Collins. Nico Collins is good, but we're talking about LeJarrius Sneed here. Nico Collins isn't Tyreek Hill
Starting point is 00:07:04 or Justin Jefferson. Michael Pittman, I like Michael Pittman, but who do we think's winning in a battle between Michael Pittman and LeJarrius Sneed? You guys let me know down below. Who are you taking in that? I'm taking LeJarrius Sneed. And then Gabe Davis, LeJarrius,
Starting point is 00:07:19 see, this is how it helps everybody. And we're going to break down the schematics later in the week. Like I'm going to dive into like man zone, slotting on defense, matchups on defense, whether the Titans are going to be more man, more zone. I'm going to go into the scheme and how it'll actually look on the football field later this week. But just right now on the surface,
Starting point is 00:07:38 to have LeJarius Sneed take the number one wide receiver on everybody's team and then have Chito, Chito has been a number one corner for the Bengals for the last three years, taking their number one matchup to slide him down to cornerback number two and then to be able to keep Roger McCreary in the slot consistently. Again, to me, the LeGarious Snead trade has changed the Titans trajectory from being a bubble playoff team
Starting point is 00:08:03 to being a team that we should expect to make the playoffs. Again, this has changed what the Titans have done here with LeJarius Sneed being the crowning moment. This has changed the calculus for what the Titans can do over the next few years. So yes, 100%. You ask me, are the Tennessee Titans a playoff team? You add in what they're about to do in the draft
Starting point is 00:08:24 and absolutely they are. And speaking of the draft, speaking of the draft, it's mock draft Monday, and LeJarrius Sneed has changed the way that I view the NFL draft for the Titans. I'm going to do a four-round mock draft right now and show you how, with what the Titans have done here and the draft that they could have, the Super Bowl window opens now. A lot to discuss. Stay with me. Before we get into it, do want to let you guys know that today's episode is brought to you by FanDuel. Say goodbye to busted brackets. I know your guys' brackets are busted by now. We're talking about how LeJarrius Sneed changes things for the Tennessee Titans.
Starting point is 00:10:17 I talked about how the Sneed addition makes the Titans a playoff team right now. But Sneed also changes the way the Titans should attack the beginning of the NFL draft. I got a four-round mock draft to go over with you guys right now, but you add LeJarrius Snead's addition and what the Titans have done in free agency with this draft that they could have in April, and that can open the Titans Super Bowl window. So I'm going to break it all down. Before I get into it, thank you for making the Locked on Titans podcast your first listen each and every day, Monday through Friday,
Starting point is 00:10:51 Tennessee Titans content all year round, always for free. Make sure you get subscribed, stay subscribed. It's your team every day. But starting with my first pick in the NFL Draft, the Tennessee Titans have the seventh pick here, and it went as we expected to go right now. Quarterback, quarterback, quarterback. And then we got Marvin Harrison Jr., Malik Neighbors,
Starting point is 00:11:19 and then J.J. McCarthy, a fourth quarterback, going in the top six. So the Titans had the option here. Joe Ault or Roma Dunze. And look, to me, I already said I want Joe Ault over any wide receiver that's not named Marvin Harrison Jr. If I can get Joe Ault, I'm taking him over everybody unless I get an elite generational prospect in Marvin Harrison Jr. No questions asked there.
Starting point is 00:11:50 So, I already was all over neighbors and a dunesay. Now that the Titans have added Calvin Ridley, now that the Titans have added LeJarius Sneed, there is no question about it that they need to take Joe Alt if he is on the board. It was already something that I thought, but the LeGarious Sneed trade has hammered the thought home for me. If I get the opportunity to take Joe Alt, there's no way I'm taking Neighbors or Odunze over him.
Starting point is 00:12:18 So at number seven, with Alt and Odunze and Brock Bowers on the board, I took Joe Alt again. I am the leader of the Alt cult. I have been pushing for Joe Alt since 2023. He is a perfect fit for the Titans. Six foot eight, long arms, 330, great experience, great athlete, transitioned from a tight end to an offensive tackle at Notre Dame. He has great long arms, great athlete, transitioned from a tight end to an offensive tackle at Notre Dame.
Starting point is 00:12:45 He has great long arms, great recovery ability. Yes, he doesn't have the most power in his hands that you've ever seen. Yes, he's not a drive blocker that's just going to bull you over like some of these other right tackle options later in the draft, like Latham or Mims or Fuwaga. Like he's a different style of player. All right? But you look at, in my opinion, you look at Taylor LeJuan. You look at a Colton Miller from the Raiders. You look at a Jake Matthews, guys who all has been compared to a lot.
Starting point is 00:13:19 There are guys who win with their athleticism, their intelligence, their length. Not every offensive tackle in the league has to win with pure power. Okay? That's not, there isn't just one way to skin a cat. So I love Joe Alt, perfect fit for the Titans. And right now, the way things seem with the J.J. McCarthy buzz and the wide receiver needs at the top of the draft, I am wishing, hoping, and praying, but it looks like Joe Alt should be available for the Titans.
Starting point is 00:13:39 And again, now that you have LeJarius Sneed at cornerback, you have one of the top cornerback trios in the entire NFL, period. You've added Calvin Ridley at wide receiver to go DeAndre Hopkins, Calvin Ridley, Traylon Burks, with Kyle Phillips is a totally different kind of slot. You add another wide receiver late in the draft, which we may get to. And I'm just saying, Joe All at left tackle, who could start from day one. Tackle is by far the biggest need for the Titans right now
Starting point is 00:14:10 after what they've done in free agency. It is time to add Joe Ault, solidify that. You can get right tackle play from another rookie later in the draft. You get the best out of Dylan Radins or Nicholas Petit-Ferrer, or you get a veteran in the building in free agency to go with Bill Callahan and the Titans have done enough at left tackle. They have Joe Alt there for a decade. They have a veteran or just
Starting point is 00:14:31 a stopgap at right tackle. You can win that way. The Titans won that way a ton over the last few years. So, getting Joe Alt in there would be perfect. We go to the second round. Alright? And as I have been saying, the right place for the Titans to trade down is in the second round, not a pick seven,
Starting point is 00:14:54 take a high level blue chip player at a position of need at number seven, but at 38, that is where you trade down. And last year, we saw the Atlanta Falcons, who had picked 38, trade down to pick number 44. So it was 38, and they got pick number 44 and pick 110 in return. I wanted a little bit better than pick 110. I wanted to get into the top 100. So I did pick number 38 and pick 146,
Starting point is 00:15:24 a second rounder and a fifth rounder, for pick 44 and pick 77. And that's within 200 points on the Fitzgerald-Spielberger trade chart. It is very similar to what we've seen in real life with a real life example. So I traded pick number 38, and I got back 44 and 77. Let me know how you guys feel about that trade. But at pick number 44, I went defense and went edge rusher Chris Braswell out of Alabama.
Starting point is 00:16:00 Braswell is 6'3", 250 pounds. He is a long athlete. He has very long arms, and he uses those arms to be explosive and strong. He is an explosive athlete, ladies and gentlemen, with, again, great length, great strength as well. He's got a great speed to power rush. He's not a guy with a ton of pass rush moves.
Starting point is 00:16:21 He doesn't have the most beautiful set of moves and counters and all that. He is a big, strong, physical, explosive athlete, and he's a guy who has the ability to drop back in coverage. So we've been talking about Denard Wilson and what Denard Wilson's defense is going to look like, and I saw somebody on Twitter say, hey, maybe the Titans, you know, can get rid of Harold Landry. He doesn't really fit the defense. You're insane. Harold Landry fits what the Titans are going to do on defense now under Denard Wilson perfectly. They're going to run a lot of blitz packages. They're going to run a lot of fake blitzes. You remember, sim pressures, simulated pressures are all about simulating pressure in a certain way and then doing it in a different way. So in a simulated pressure defense,
Starting point is 00:17:02 in a certain way and then doing it in a different way. So in a simulated pressure defense, you're blitzing, but you're not necessarily bringing five players or six players over and over again, okay? That's not the point. The point is you're showing blitz from all over the place and then you only bring four guys. But the offense doesn't know where those four guys are coming from, which means that you're going to have linebackers dropping back
Starting point is 00:17:23 into coverage who are showing blitz, edge rushers, defensive linemen who are showing blitz and then start dropping back. Harold Landry has the versatility to be a speed rusher and a bend rusher on the outside, but also fake it and drop into coverage and have at least a decent ability to work in space. That's what Braswell can do as well for the Titans. So you have, and I think Braswell is a perfect fit because he is a powerful speed-to-power rusher
Starting point is 00:17:49 where Arden Key is more of a finesse guy who's skinny, who wins with speed and length, and Harold Landry, of course, is a speed and bend guy. Braswell is a guy with great power, great length, a good bull rush. He is a guy who can play on early downs and stop the run. Harold Landry and Braswell on early downs to be physical, stop the run, play with versatility. Both of them can play off the line of scrimmage as well,
Starting point is 00:18:14 which gives you multiplicity in your front. Then, when it's time to rush, you can bring on Arden Key, and Arden Key can go back into that rotational pass rusher role, and they can keep him fresh and keep him from getting fatigued. So Braswell to me because of his speed, his power, his aggressiveness, his length, he is a perfect fit for the Titans as their third edge rusher and eventually would be their starting edge rusher across from Harold Landry. So to add an offensive tackle, to add a pass rusher and an edge rusher, that would be an excellent start.
Starting point is 00:18:47 And because of the trade down from 38 to 44, the Titans pick up number 77. We're going to talk about what the Titans will do with pick number 77, what the Titans will do with pick number 106, and why LeJarius Sneed and free agency and why this draft class will open the Titans Super Bowl window for the next four years.
Starting point is 00:19:07 We're going to dive into that before we do, though. Do want to remind you guys that Locked On has launched the first ever National Sports 24-7 streaming channel. It's called Locked On Sports Today. But more importantly, baseball fans, mark your calendars for March 20th at 7 p.m. Eastern. Starting point is 00:20:23 each and every day, Monday through Friday, Tennessee Titans content, all year round, always for free. All right, we're in the middle of my mock draft Monday. We talked about how LeJarius Sneed gets the Titans to be a team that we should expect to make the playoffs. But you add what they've done in free agency, you add the trade of LeJarius Sneed to this draft class that we're going over right now in a mock draft Monday,
Starting point is 00:20:44 and I think it opens the Titans' Super Bowl window. Again, Joe Ault was our first pick at No. 7. I traded down in the second round from 38 to 44, picked up No. 77. At No. 44, I picked up Chris Braswell, the edge rusher from Alabama. At pick No. 77, though, listen, the Titans got Calvin Ridley, but Calvin Ridley and DeAndre Hopkins are 30-year-old
Starting point is 00:21:10 wide receivers. The Titans still need to draft a wide receiver in an excellent draft class for wide receivers, and that is why I went with someone I think is one of the most underrated hidden gems in the NFL draft at wide receiver, and it's Javon Baker from UCF.
Starting point is 00:21:29 Baker is 6'1", 202 pounds, and he plays physical. He has an NFL body, NFL physicality. He is a perfect fit for an NFL offense right away. He's going to be able to contribute. He's not a guy who has to build a bunch of speed or build a bunch of strength or fill out his body. No, Baker is ready to go. And he may not be a freakish athlete. Like he only ran a 4.5. He may not have explosive burner speed down the field, but he is a ball player can win against man can win against zone has a great understanding
Starting point is 00:22:03 of how to set up his routes, how to set up defenses, how to set up his cornerbacks to move them from where they need to be so that he can get open. He wins contested catches. He's going to go up and get it. He's going to play physical again. Javon Baker is an NFL player that is ready to go. So right now, through three picks, we have hit starting left tackle,
Starting point is 00:22:30 your third edge rusher, and we added another wide receiver that I think can be a star in the NFL and can contribute right away for the Tennessee Titans. And at pick number 77, so now we've picked up another top 100 pick and we've still hit all our needs. I absolutely love it. Yeah. One, one, two, nine production just said Baker is my favorite wide receiver outside of round one. And Javon Baker has a ton of favorites. Most people have him undrafted or day three Javon Baker. I think, uh, I think whoever just said that in the chat is mistaken with somebody else. I haven't seen anybody who has Javon Baker going day three or undrafted. What are you looking at? But anyways, so love adding Javon Baker there at 77.
Starting point is 00:23:10 Got Joe All at number seven. Got Chris Braswell at number 44. And then finally, I'm going back to the well again. Pick 106 for the Titans, their fourth round pick. I'm going to get in Christian Jones, the big, strong, powerful powerful offensive tackle out of Texas. So you have Joe Ault at left tackle. All right, he's going to start from day one.
Starting point is 00:23:32 You have NPF, Dylan Radins. Maybe you bring in a veteran offensive tackle in free agency between now and the start of the season. And then you bring in Christian Jones, 6' five, 305 pounds, ideal arm length. Like he's got great long arms. He's got really strong, powerful hands as well. That is huge. He'll get his hands on you. And a man that size, that strong, it is tough to deal with. He has good anchor, again, good strength, good size. He is also a guy, he's not a freak athlete. He wasn't blowing up the combine or anything like that.
Starting point is 00:24:06 He's not the most agile guy ever, but I think you get this guy in the building, you let Bill Callahan work with him, and the Titans could have Joe Alt and Christian Jones as their offensive tackle pairing for the next five to eight years. Like, you could solve offensive tackle right away by doing this. Now, I admit Christian Jones is not the plug-and-play guy that Joe Alt is, but Christian Jones could potentially help you at guard in year one,
Starting point is 00:24:33 kick out the tackle in year two after you've had a chance to coach him up a little bit. I just think hitting offensive tackle twice, again, this is all about how a Jarius Sneed changes things. All right? And now that you have cornerback, I don't think you need to go out and draft a cornerback. You add wide receiver. You add two offensive tackles in the draft.
Starting point is 00:24:52 Since there aren't any good ones in free agency, the Titans didn't go out and get a big splash at offensive tackle in free agency. They're going to be getting one-year prove-it deals, Band-Aid signings, stopgap signings at offensive tackle. So to me, that would tell me that the Titans are like, hey, we don't got to go out and solve one of our tackle positions in free agency. There are so many good offensive tackles in the draft that we're going to go there. This is an elite wide receiver and offensive tackle draft class. And that's why I want the Titans to draft two of them a piece. But in between the offensive tackles and the wide receivers,
Starting point is 00:25:27 the Titans need to add defense. And I got them adding Javon Baker, or adding Chris Braswell at 44 as an edge rusher. Again, this is a football philosophy conversation. On defense, nose tackle, inside linebacker, safety.
Starting point is 00:25:47 They're not premium positions to me. I'm not going out and spending a bunch of money in free agency. I'm not using high-end draft picks. Especially Rand Carthon, he came from a place where he was a specialist at finding late-round draft picks. Especially on defense. So the Titans could get a linebacker, a safety, more like a nose tackle type.
Starting point is 00:26:09 They can get them later in the draft. I want premium positions with my draft picks. Two offensive tackles, a wide receiver, and an edge rusher. And I think the Titans are absolutely cooking. Again, I made a trade down in the second round, 44 and 77 for 38 and 146. So let me know how you guys feel about my draft class here. And now I want to get to my final point. If the Titans have a decent draft class, their Super Bowl window is open now. So let me lay out how this is going to work for the Tennessee Titans Super Bowl window.
Starting point is 00:26:46 So number one, before I say anything else, number one before I say anything else, it's all about Will Levis. Will Levis has to be good. That is a prerequisite of all of this. Will Levis has to be good. So if Will Levis is not good, then none of this matters. Nothing will matter. Okay. Keep that in mind. So let's just say here, follow me. Will Levis is
Starting point is 00:27:14 good. All right. I believe that if Will Levis is good and the Titans nail this draft class, the Superbowl window is open. Now you're on Will Levis' rookie contract. The Titans don't have anyone to pay. The Titans don't have anyone to pay for the next two years. Jalen Robinson's draft bust in the first round, there are no young, developed, drafted players the Titans have to pay. That is why they can afford over this year and next year to give out big free agent deals. They can do it. Because they have three years before they have to pay Will Levis or anybody from Rank Arthons first draft class.
Starting point is 00:27:52 So, you give out big free agent deals right now, the veterans come in right away, and they help you compete right away. If you add this year's draft class and next year's draft class, and those draft classes are good, well, now you have two expensive free agent's draft class and next year's draft class and those draft classes are good, well, now you have two expensive free agent classes this year and next year. And you have two good draft classes this year and next year. And you have Will Levis on his rookie contract. You are in your Super Bowl window.
Starting point is 00:28:18 So if the Titans knock this draft this year out of the park and they get Joe All and they add starters in the first four rounds. The Titans can go win a playoff game this year. And once you win a playoff game, once you get in the dance, all bets are off. So to me, the Titans need to be pushing
Starting point is 00:28:37 for the playoffs this year. We should expect a playoff push and then at minimum, by next year, it's time to go for the Super Bowl. We should be thinking in our heads before the season begins, oh, this team can go win a Super Bowl. Again, the most important thing to this is Will Levis. But if Will Levis is good,
Starting point is 00:28:56 the moves that the Titans have made so far, adding LeJarius Sneed, adding Calvin Ridley, adding Cushenberry, adding Pollard, if they hit this draft class out of the park, the Titans Super Bowl window is open right now because the next two years is going to be free agency filled. And then the two years after that should be Rancar Thon's three first draft classes
Starting point is 00:29:17 balling out and turning into top tier players. So whether it be this first two years with all the free agent help, whether it be the two years after that where Rancarton's draft picks are starting to become top-tier players, the Titans are in their Super Bowl window right now if they hit this draft class home. And a lot of that has to do with the fact that they went out
Starting point is 00:29:37 and they added everything that they did in free agency, including making the trade for LeJarrius Sneed. Let me know how you feel about the Titans' Super Bowl window. Let me know how you feel about the Titans Super Bowl window. Let me know how you feel about my mock draft down below. And let me know what record you think the Tennessee Titans are going to have if they have a good draft. That's going to do it for me. Today, though, folks, again, LeJarrius Sneed all week long
Starting point is 00:29:58 here on the Locked on Titans podcast. Deep dives, contracts, all that. As always, I am your host, Tyler Rowland, and this is Locked on Titans.
