All I ask for in return is the press of a button.
And shout out to my everydayers out there tuning in Monday through Friday.
Tomorrow, it's going to be a financial Friday.
I'm going to break down the new contracts from the Titans,
talk about how much cap space they actually have remaining.
Can't wait to dive into all of the money moves on tomorrow's show.
But today, we're talking Legereus Sneed.
And let me just say this.
A few weeks ago, my everydayers will remember,
I said pretty bluntly,
I am against a trade for LeJarrius Sneed
if it involves the No. 38 pick.
I do not want the Titans to trade the No. 38 pick for LeJarrius Sneed.
If they could find a different way,
I said a fourth and a seventh, a fourth in Traylon Burks, maybe a pick from nextJarius Sneed. If they could find a different way, I said a fourth and a seventh,
a fourth and Traylon Burks,
maybe a pick from next year's draft class.
That would be something that I would consider
and that I would ultimately do.
But I'm not trading the Titans' second round pick
for LeJarius Sneed.
But,
according to recent reports,
the Titans may not have to do that
and that may not be the problem at all.
So I'll just tell you this.
We've heard a ton of different reporting from different sources.
We've heard some stuff locally.
We've heard from local places in Kansas City,
like a local radio station over there.
We've heard from different fringe reporters around the NFL
at different times about LeJarius Sneed.
And then we also heard from Diana Rossini recently saying
she thought a trade for LeJarrius Sneed would get done last week,
whether it be the Titans or the Colts.
So not too long ago, probably a week ago,
all of the conversation was that it was going to be the Colts
or that LeJarrius Sneed was going to stay in Kansas City.
We had, you know, certain bloggers, certain Colts fans coming out saying,
oh, the deal is done.
He's going to the Colts.
We already know.
Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
And I personally had just given up the fact that the Titans would ever go after LeJarrius Sneed
after the Calvin Ridley deal happened.
I'm like, all right, the Titans are going to give out two monster deals,
$50 million guaranteed, $40 million guaranteed, like that.
Not going to happen. Don't see it.
And according to Diana Rossini as well,
she thought that the Titans might be out of it at that time,
but we have heard recently that the Titans are still in the race
and that a third third round pick in 2025 may be good enough
compensation for Kansas City. The reporting has been
that it's the contract of LeJarius
Sneed that is what's holding things up for teams
trading for him around the NFL. LeJarius Sneed wants
top tier market. $22, $23 million a season.
Right now, the highest in the NFL, you got Jair Alexander at $21,
Denzel Ward at $20, Jalen Johnson just got $20,
Jalen Ramsey just got $20.
So you're seeing some of those guys, that number.
LeJarrius Sneed wants to be up there.
And guaranteed money,
probably looking at $40, $43, $44 million.
So we talk about, you know,
a contract that would probably be four years, $88 million.
Four years, $85 million.
Something like that.
But with the guarantees, it's probably a two-year,
$45 million deal. If But with the guarantees, it's probably a two-year $45 million deal.
If that is the case, if that is true, if all of that is true,
that the Titans can send a third-round pick in 2025,
and all they got to do is pay LeJarrius Sneed about $45 million for two years,
sign me up.
Go make that trade. Imagine putting
LeJarius Sneed,
who is a do-it-all, shadow, lockdown corner,
only 27 years old.
Yes, we know about the knee issues,
but he looked pretty good with the knee issues last year, right?
Played in every game except one in the regular season.
Locked down wide receivers all year.
Went both sides of the field.
Again, shadowed the top wide receiver on the other team. Was locked down wide receivers all year, went both sides of the field, again, shadowed the top wide receiver on the other team,
was locked down.
Look, the Titans are in a special circumstance here.
They're in a two-year window where they don't got to pay anybody
because there's nobody to pay.
So instead of getting all these fringe, risky, one-year veterans,
just go get LeJarius Sneed.
You're going to have him and Calvin Ridley basically for two, three years
throughout the rest of Will Levis' rookie contract.
You're going to have more cap space next year to add.
And in theory, you're going to hit on your draft picks this year.
Hit on your draft picks next year.
And if you can get two free agent classes like this
and then add two decent draft classes
to Will Levis,
to Tajay Spears,
to Peter Skowronski,
if you can do that,
you might just have yourself a championship contender.
So if all it's going to take is a third round pick next year
and giving LeJarius Sneed what he deserves on the market,
I am making that trade.
Again, I'm not trading 38,
but they don't have to do that.
If they only have to give up a third next year,
I am making that trade.
I'm pairing LeJarius Sneed
as my number one shadow cornerback.
You got Chito as your number two cornerback.
You got Roger McCreary in the slot.
You have gone from
one of the worst wide receiver groups in the NFL
to one of the better ones.
You have gone from
one of the worst cornerback rooms in the NFL to one of the better ones. You have gone from one of the worst cornerback rooms
in the NFL to one of the absolute best.
Like, you attack offensive line in the draft
with pick number seven and maybe pick number 38.
Split it up between OT and wide receiver still,
whatever you want to do.
Like, you are starting to cook with gas
at some of these positions.
So, look, again, I'm against 38,
but for a third-round pick next year
and giving Snead $22 million a year,
I am absolutely making that move.
I am doing that.
The Titans still have about $30 to $40 million of cap space.
We'll go over the exact figures tomorrow,
but they can make this move.
They can make it work.
I mean, Calvin Ridley got $90 million for four years.
His cap hit this year is $10 million.
So they can make it work.
No question about it.
And it just brings me back.
It makes me think of remember when Marcus was young
and the Titans went out and got Malcolm Butler,
Roger Saffold, DeMarco Murray, Delaney Walker,
Ben Jones, Brian Arakbo, Wesley Woodyard, Logan Ryan.
Like to me, the Titans are in that phase
and they need the 2019 Titans run
to get them a Super Bowl
and that will come in 2026 most likely.
So build the team now.
Get these guys in place.
I think you're going to be ultra competitive.
Maybe make your run next year if you do things right.
Look, at this point, with the reported compensation out there,
I'm making that deal.
If I'm the Tennessee Titans, would you make that deal?
Would you make that trade for LeJarius Sneed?
A third round pick next year in 2025
and then $22 million a season.
I'm doing it.
But with that being said,
what about some free agency reunions?
Corey Davis?
Jadavion Clowney?
Am I cooking?
We're going to talk about some reunions here in just a moment.
Before we do, I do want to let you guys know that today's episode

We just talked about LeJarrius Sneed, the potential trade the Tennessee Titans could make for a third round pick and $22 million a year.
I am making that deal.
But let's turn our gaze to free agency for the rest of the show.
We're going to talk about some potential reunions for the Titans,
talk about the remaining free agents available at positions of need
for the Titans at the end of the show.
And tomorrow, we are going to be doing a Financial Friday episode.
I'm going to be breaking down the new contracts the Tennessee Titans have signed,
the biggest ones, the most important ones,
talking about how much cap space they have,
how much they're going to need going forward.
So very excited to dive into the money with you guys on tomorrow's show.
But speaking of reunions,
so there are some players who used to play for the Titans
who are available.
One of them I think the Titans need to avoid entirely,
and one of them I think the Titans should consider bringing back.
Number one, we are going to talk about Corey Davis.
So Corey Davis retired, didn't play last year,
and then just announced recently this week that he has applied for reinstatement, and the Jets basically put him on the retire release
list. The Jets released him. He's a free agent. So obviously, as a lot of fan bases do, don't act like it's just the Titans, as a lot of fan bases do,
it's easy to wonder,
should we want that old thing back?
No.
No, Corey Davis.
Say it with me, everyone.
No.
We do not want Corey Davis back.
It doesn't make any sense.
He's going to be 29 years old.
All right?
And he's a guy unlike Calvin Ridley, who's 29,
who, you know, Calvin Ridley didn't want to be out of football.
Corey Davis did.
He voluntarily left the game.
And now he's coming back a year later at 29.
I don't want to do that.
I'm just out on that.
In 2021, he played nine games.
In 2022, he played 13.
He's not durable.
He's been out for a year.
Like, there's no way.
There's just no way that I want Corey Davis back.
Especially, you have Calvin Ridley.
You have DeAndre Hopkins.
You have Traylon Burks.
You have Kyle Phillips.
You brought back NWI.
Like, where are we putting Corey Davis into that?
And I know that I talked about a Traylon Burks trade.
Even if you trade Traylon Burks, I don't want Corey Davis.
Because I have continued to say, like Brian Callahan is trying to tell you guys,
he told you,
I see a couple of those guys as fits for us in the draft.
The Titans are going to draft two wide receivers.
So even if they were to trade Traylon Burks like I'm hoping they do,
I want the Titans to go out and draft two guys to go with Ridley,
to go with Hopkins.
Like, there is no room for Corey Davis.
I'm sorry, I'm totally out on the Corey Davis reunion.
Doesn't make any sense to me.
But a reunion that does make sense to me,
that is a bit of a hot take,
is Jadavion Clowney.
I know, I know.
I can hear the comment section already.
I can hear you guys slapping on the keys to tell me I'm dumb, blah, blah, blah. I know. I can hear the comment section already. I can hear you guys slapping on the keys
to tell me I'm dumb, blah, blah, blah.
I get it.
2020, when Clowney played for the Titans,
was his worst year of his entire career.
It was terrible.
But let me also point out,
Titans didn't have a defensive coordinator that year.
Mike Vrabel just didn't name one.
Just didn't give out the position.
Just, who knows what was going on.
Clowney dealt with some injuries.
I get it.
But my point here is,
look at him since.
Look at him since.
Alright?
14 games.
12 games.
17 games last year.
So he's played over 12 games every year since he left the Titans.
In the last three seasons, Clowney has played 43 games.
He has 20 and a half sacks.
When Danico Autry came to the Titans later in his career,
it was after three seasons of 20 sacks combined.
So everybody was really excited about getting 20 sacks
and three seasons from Danico Autry,
but we don't want that from Jadavion Clowney.
Nine and a half sacks last year.
He's had 65 pressures in three years.
And last year, he was the 21st highest graded run defender
at edge in the NFL with a 74.6 run defense grade.
So he's getting to the passer, 9.5 sacks,
23 pressures. He's stopping the run. Again,
Clowney is a big physical edge rusher.
He is maybe not the speed guy that people thought he could be coming out
of college a decade ago or whatever.
But the Titans have Harold Landry, who's an undersized speed edge rusher. They have Arden
Key, who while he has great length, is skinny and doesn't have a lot of power and is more of a speed
and length guy. So if you combine your short, bendy speed guy with your tall, skinny speed length guy
with a power player like Clowney, Clowney, Key, and Landry are a perfect edge-rushing trio.
And, and, Jadavion Clowney was in Baltimore last year with Denard Wilson.
So he's going to understand what he needs to do.
He's going to understand his role.
He's going to be part of a rotation.
Thinking about Jadavia and Clowney like the number one overall pick
and having those expectations have left you nothing but disappointment.
But now that Clowney is not being paid off his name like the Titans did,
now Clowney's going to be around one year $7 million,
one year $8 million.
And that would be, to me, a good risk for the Titans.
Again, nine and a half sacks last year.
A top 21 run defender at edge.
And you don't want that player for $7 million
because he had a bad 2020
with the Titans that was an outlier
in his career statistically.
So, to me,
the only people saying absolutely not
to Javon Clownett. He's a bum.
He's terrible. Only
could Titans fans look at a guy
who had 9.5 sacks last year,
20.5 sacks in the last three years
and call that player a bum.
So you guys are scorned lovers.
I get it.
But there's a lot of emotion in the pushback to Jadavian Clowney.
And I think when you separate him from his bad 2020 season with the Titans,
and you look realistically about what he's done over the last few years,
and how much money he's actually going to cost,
I think a reunion with Jadavion Clowney
makes a ton of sense for the Tennessee Titans.
But with that being said,
we got to look at the rest of the available free agents
because there's a lot more work
that the Tennessee Titans need to do.
So I'm going to get into that now.
Before I do, do want to let you guys know that today's episode is brought to you by Better Help.

But offensive tackle is where I think the Titans need to focus.
They had Andrews Pete in for a visit.
No signing has happened, though.
To me, that would tell me that something on that visit
did not make the Titans very happy,
whether it be medical, contract demands.
Maybe Andrews Pete said, I'm not playing on the right side of the offensive line.
And the Titans were like, whoa, okay, no versatility.
We're not doing that.
So there are a ton of possibilities.
But like I said earlier in the week, the further we get away from the visit
without a signing, the more likely it is the Titans look in other areas.
So if the Titans look away from Andrewrus Peet, the names that make sense
are some of the names we've been saying all week, Mekhi Becton.
Look, I've been out on Mekhi Becton, did not want the Titans to sign
Mekhi Becton, but I thought the Titans would be more aggressive
at offensive tackle and free agency than they have been so far.
So if they're not going to be aggressive, then at this point, it's slim pickings.
I mean, we talked about Andrus Peet.
I'd probably rather have Makai Becton
than Andrus Peet.
You got Charles Leno,
32 years old,
not much upside there.
I mean, same thing like Cam Fleming,
career backup, really.
Josh Jones is the opposite of that.
He's a young guy who hasn't proved that he's a starter.
Maybe the Titans take a chance on Josh Jones,
but I don't think is Josh Jones significantly better
than Nicholas Petit Ferrer or Dylan Radins.
You know, like, is that solving anything?
I don't think so.
I think the only player that actually solves anything for you,
honestly, is probably Mekhi Becton. And not because I think that he will solve an anything for you, honestly, he's probably Makai Becton.
And not because I think that he will solve an issue for you, but at least he gives you
the potential to.
Like, the best version of Makai Becton is a starting good offensive tackle in the NFL.
Like, the best version of him.
Will you get the best version?
Doubtful.
But at least there's the potential there.
I mean, like Josh Jones,
we don't even know if he's a starting level player at his best.
We don't know.
Cam Fleming at his best is not.
Maybe Charles Leno is, but again, 32 years old.
So, I think at this point with risk, potential,
you might as well go get Makai Becton,
who was high on Cincinnati's list,
and then they went and got Trent Brown,
so I mean, at this point,
with the lack of suitors,
you're going to get Becton even cheaper,
I mean, you might be getting him one year,
3.5 million at this point,
so I think you'd have to do that,
you'd have to do that,
moving forward, at tight end, I keep saying CJ Uzama, million at this point. So I think you'd have to do that. You'd have to do that. Moving forward
at tight end, I keep saying CJ Uzama. Maybe you bring Trevon Wesco back and think that Bill
Callahan helping him out will make him better than what he was last year. He was one of the
top five best blocking tight ends in the NFL. And then he comes to the Titans and he's terrible.
So maybe, maybe you just bring him back at this point.
But Pickens are slim at tight end.
Not really that as worried about tight end as I am offensive tackle.
But then on defense,
Trey White, Tredavious White, the cornerback from the Buffalo Bills,
has had ACL, Achilles in recent years.
But he's having a visit with the Titans later on this week.
At this point,
if he's healthy, he might give you something.
I just don't see a lot of better options out there.
I mean, Steven Nelson, Akello Witherspoon, Rocky Sin,
maybe you have a reunion with Adoree Jackson.
I'm not totally against that.
Zavian Howard is still out there.
I mean, there are options for the Titans at cornerback,
so I think that they could look at one of those outside of Trey White,
who's a little more risky, in my opinion.
But interesting that the Titans are having a visit with him
or plan to later this week.
At safety, Justin Simmons, Marcus May, Julian Blackman,
Jamal Adams, Adrian Amos.
I mean, you're looking at one-year deals with older players there.
Linebacker, you guys know.
I like Isaiah Simmons.
That makes a lot of sense to me.
Clowney, I mentioned.
Kyle Van Nooy, 33, but on a one-year deal.
Maybe it makes sense.
Mike Dana.
Tyus Bowser, is he healthy?
There were some recovery issues there.
Worth maybe getting a look.
Right now, I'm just not in a position where I think the Titans
need to be super aggressive at
any one position in
free agency other than offensive
tackle. Just go out and get one that you kind
of believe in, you know, unless they
think that's Sadiq Charles, which
I don't. I think he's an interior player.
So very interesting to see what
the Titans do going forward.
But on tomorrow's show,
I am going to break down the financial aspect of some of these contracts,
dive into the salary cap,
the cap hit,
the outs in the contract,
what they mean.
We're going to have some fun diving into the money,
talking about how much cash space the Titans still have as well.
Maybe, maybe, maybe,
we'll get another signing.
But with that being said,
that is going to do it for today's show.
As always, I am your host, Tyler Rowland.
And this was Locked on Titans.
