Locked On Titans - Daily Podcast On The Tennessee Titans - Tennessee Titans MUST TRADE Will Levis, Best Trade Possibilities at Wide Receiver & Edge Rusher
Episode Date: March 19, 2025The Tennessee Titans must trade Will Levis if they intend to draft Cam Ward with the first pick in the NFL Draft. Creating a divisive dynamic in the locker room would be the worst way to bring in a ro...okie leader. The Titans have needs on the roster and the options in free agency are starting to dwindle. That could lead them to considering a trade. While the Titans don't need to pay a premium for non-premium players, finding trades with proper value could be a wise way to attack wide receiver and edge rusher prior to the draft in April.Subscribe to the TicTacTitans Film Channel:https://www.youtube.com/@TicTacTitansTicTacTitans Merchandise: https://dixons-dream.square.site/shop/tictactitans-gear/C3AAPNWXSXA6SBYG3USV2I7R?page=1&limit=30&sort_by=category_order&sort_order=ascFollow Tyler on Twitter @TicTacTitansFollow the show on Facebook @LockedOnTitansPodSubscribe to the Locked On Titans YouTube channel:https://www.youtube.com/c/LockedOnTitans/videosSupport Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!GametimeDownload the Gametime app, create an account, and use code LOCKEDONNBAfor $20 off your first purchase. The Tennessee Titans must trade Will Levis if they draft Cam Ward number one.
And it sounds like that's what they're looking to do.
I'll break it all down on today's edition of Locked on Titans.

We got a new report saying that the Titans might
be looking to trade Will Levis.
And I think that's what they must do if they
plan to take Cam Ward.
Also, we'll talk about some trades
the Titans could make at wide receiver,
all the way from top options on the market
to some mid-level stuff.
And we'll do the same at EdgeRusher as well.
So a trade-centric edition of the Locked on Titan's podcast.
Before we dive in, do want to thank you for making Locked on Titan your first

Friday.
Couldn't do it without you guys.
If you aren't an every dayer, you need to be one this time of year.
There's always breaking news.
The draft is right around the corner.
The Titans are going to make more signings.
Now I'm going to be here to keep you up to date and make sure you're as informed as a
Tennessee Titans fan could possibly be.
But with that being said, we do got to talk about this recent report about a potential trade for Will Levis.
And it comes from Josina Anderson.
And she says, quote, the Titans would like to transition.
End quote.
I was just told these two quarterbacks names came up in
recent preliminary trade inquiries or internal discussions
per League Source, Kirk Cousins and Will Levis.
So I actually said this a couple of weeks ago, maybe even a month ago now, but if the Titans
take quarterback number one overall, we're presuming obviously at this moment in time
that that would be Cam Ward. But if the Titans take Cam Ward number one overall in the NFL draft,
they have to trade Will Levis. They absolutely must trade Will Levis.
It is a necessity.
Why?
Okay, number one, we have to acknowledge something here.
This is not Madden.
This is not computer players
and a computer generated simulation.
That's not what this is.
These are real people with real emotions and real egos.
And you know, this is a real work environment. Okay.
It's not just mad where you plug them in on Sundays and they play.
You cannot have a guy who you traded up for in the second round, who's going
into year three in the same exact locker room as the guy that you just picked.
Number one overall, you can't, you just can't do it.
Number one, Will Levis is going to be hungry.
He's going to feel it's his opportunity.
He's going to feel it's his chance and he's going to operate like he's still the leader of the football team.
But the Titans need Cam Ward to do that.
And I think that Cam Ward would come in and do that.
And that will create conflict.
I'm sorry, there's no way around it.
That will create conflict. You have players in the's no way around it. That will create conflict.
You have players in the locker room.
Think about Jeffrey Simmons, that damn will live us.
I told you he could play now.
Do I think that cam ward would quickly went over his teammates due
to his play on the field?
Yes, absolutely.
But like if you're Peter Skowronski and you've been blocking for
Will Levis for two years, you feel like you let him down, having him get benched and now he's in the locker room and
maybe you're better friends with Will Levis because you've known him for longer.
So you walk over to him at the locker room and you want to hang around.
Like there are so many little inner political things with a work environment.
Forget that it's football.
It's a work environment where I just think it would be absolutely foolish for the Tennessee Titans
to draft Cam Ward and seriously expect Will Levis to be the backup.
Like I just do not think that that makes any logical sense when you think about these guys as
human beings in a work environment. Like I'm sorry, that's not a
tenable situation. So what happens? The Titans trade Will Levis.
Now, Terry McCormick, uh, did report, uh, I want to make sure I get the
strategy said, quote, I'm told that the Titans are not currently or
actively shopping Will Levis.
If some sort of move were to happen, it would make sense that
it would come during the draft.
So let's go through that statement from Terry McCormick at Terry
MC 13 on Twitter.
I'm told the Titans are not currently or actively shopping.
Will Levis folks that is how football teams and pro sports organizations
get around saying that I've had trade conversations about the player.
We are actively shopping the player.
Okay.
So you're not calling around to every single team saying, do you want Will
Evans?
Do you want Will Evans?
Do you want Will Evans?
Do you want that's what actively shopping means.
So saying that you're not doing that.
We're not actively shopping him.
Okay.
Maybe you're passively shopping him.
Maybe a couple of teams have called.
Maybe you've called one or two people
to gauge their interest. So to me, Terry's report is accurate. I'm told the Titans are
not currently or actively shopping Will Levis. I bet they aren't actively or currently shopping
Will Levis. But I think that Josina Anderson's report saying that they've had some internal
discussions and some preliminary trade inquiries about Will Levis.
I think that's 100% true as well.
Both of those can be true at the same time.
And then the backend of what Terry says here, it would make sense
that it would come during the draft.
Guys, my thought all along is the Titans draft cam ward at number one.
If that's what they do, if that's the path they go, then what would happen is during the draft, a team that missed out on a quarterback.
Look, there are some good second round quarterbacks here.
Quinn Ubers and Tyler Shook and Jackson Dar and maybe Jaylen Milrow and Quinn Ubers and
Kyle McCord and Will Howard.
Like there's a ton of quarterbacks that are going to go on day two,
the second round and the third round.
There are a bunch of quarterbacks that are going to go in that range out of that
group of guys right there.
Well, what if you miss out on those guys?
What if you don't really like some of those guys?
Then you might be willing to give up a fifth or a sixth round pick for Will
Lovis.
And I think that's what the Tennessee
Titans should be looking for here. A fifth or a sixth round pick. Or you have a sixth
round pick and you move up to a fourth or you have a seventh and you move up to a fifth.
I want a two round jump if it's a pick swap. But if they're just giving you a pick for
Will Levis, like it's Will Levis and a sixth for a fourth.
Will Levis and a seventh. The Titans don't have a seventh right now, but the
say they acquire one in some way. Will Levis and a seventh. How about Will Levis and a future
sixth round pick for a fourth round pick this year?
Something like that. But if it's just Will Levis for a pick straight up, you could certainly get a sixth round pick guarantee. Like the Titans would absolutely get a sixth round
pick for Will Levis. I think that depending on how the draft goes, they could potentially
get a fifth round pick as well, because you're not just grabbing Will Levis if you're a team
that's trading for Will Levis. You're not just getting Will Levis because he's a young
player who you think can still turn into a starter.
There are teams out there who could get Will Levis to be their backup.
That could be their plan.
Think about the Rams.
What if the Los Angeles Rams went out and got Will Levis?
I think that would make some sense.
You know what I mean?
So there are plenty of avenues where a team would be interested in Will Levis.
And I think the Tennessee Titans could absolutely get a fifth or a sixth round pick or combine
Will Levis with a pick and move up a couple of rounds.
Kenny Pickett went for a fifth.
Will Levis has an extra year, has two years of rookie contract left.
So he's super cheap and is a year away from that contract expiring for development
purposes as well.
So it would be cheap financial move for any team to get wevis.
And again, the Tennessee Titans have to do this.
If they draft cam ward, you can't have cam ward and will let us in
the same locker room.
I know not everybody agrees with that, but I don't really care.
I think when you think about real human beings in a work environment
and the way this stuff works, you absolutely cannot have both those guys and will let us some trade reports. I think when you think about real human beings in a work environment and the way this stuff works, you absolutely cannot have both those guys.
And Will Levis, some trade reports, I think it happens.
I think the Titans go Cam Ward number one, and they trade Will Levis during the draft for a day three pick.
But speaking of trades, let's talk about some wide receiver trades.

Titans fans. Let's continue today's edition of the locked on Titans podcast.
We talked about why I think it's an absolute must that the Tennessee Titans trade Will Levis
if they plan to draft Cam Ward number one overall.
And I think they absolutely could get a sixth round pick
out of him.
But now I want to talk about some wide receivers
that the Tennessee Titans could potentially trade for.
Yesterday, we talked about wide receivers
in the free agency market that would make sense
for the Titans that are available right now.
But the options are not all that great.
So the Titans may look elsewhere to make a move.
Also at edge rusher, the Tennessee Titans need more help in the free agency
market that we went over yesterday is slim.
So I'm going to go over trade options for the Titans at both of those positions.
Before I dive in though, the Titans did do a couple of things.
Julius chestnut back to the Titans on a one year deal. It's probably one year, one and a half million,
something like that, a veteran minimum. I have no real analysis other than shirt.
Julius Chestnut was brought back on a one year contract to compete with whoever the Titans bring
in to be RB three in the draft. That's my opinion. Not a big fan of Julius Chestnut practice squad
level player, but he can compete during training camp with a rookie for
that third running back spot. Sure. Uh, the Titans are also bringing in Ron
Dale Moore for a visit. According to Mike Garofalo from NFL network, Ron
Dale Moore guy who is electric player at Purdue. Um, but unfortunately has
been injured a ton in his career, missed the entire season last year.
He's had meetings so far with the bears, the jets, the Vikings, and he hasn't signed with any of them.
Those are medical visits, folks. He is going to visit. The reason that free agents visit with teams,
actually visit with them, is because there's medical to check out. So he's visited three teams.
They all haven't signed him. The Titans are going to bring him in. They're medical to check out. So he's visited three teams. They all haven't signed him.
The Titans are gonna bring him in.
They're gonna check his medicals
and they're probably not gonna sign him either.
But I'm fine with giving them a one year deal,
health status out the window
because the Titans have nobody at wide receiver.
And with that in mind,
here are some people that I think could be
logical trade options for the Titans.
Now there are top of the market options.
There are like four names here that are just way better than I think what
the Tennessee Titans are going to do.
Garrett Wilson, he's on the last year of his contract.
1.1 million.
There's the player option, of course, but he's still only 24 years old.
1.1 million.
You'd have to give them a big time extension, but Garrett Wilson at 24 years old,
that would still be a great wide receiver one to pair with Cam Ward for the rest of eternity.
You know what I mean? But I don't think the Jets are going to trade Garrett Wilson.
George Pickens is going to be a free agent next year. They just brought in DK Metcalf. Mark my
words. George Pickens is going to be traded, but with his, you know, personality concerns,
it's one thing to be a diva. He's outright insane, my friends.
So I don't think the Titans would be interested in a bad locker room presence like George Pickens,
even though he is a great talent.
Chris Olave, gonna be a free agent after the season.
I would like Chris Olave, but the problem is he's had so many
concussions.
There are some people around the Saints who worry that he may have an early retirement
because of the amount of concussions he's had.
That's too risky to trade anything of value for.
Brandon Ayuk, the 49ers matrix.
Listen, the Titans aren't taking on that contract.
They're not trading more assets for, I don't think any of those
players.
Garrett Wilson is the only one I would feel really comfortable.
I would give up pick number 35 for Garrett Wilson.
He's 24.
I would do that in a second, to be honest with you.
I'd give up 35 and 118.
If I'm honest with you, I would do it.
Maybe 35 and 142.
Let's not get too crazy.
I get a little crazy sometimes, but I don't think the Titans go
after any of those options.
If the Titans make a trade, I think it's going to be for a lower
level option where they would only have to give up, you know, a fifth
or a sixth round pick to acquire somebody like Wondell Robinson
from the New York Giants
going to be a free agent after the season.
They have Malik neighbors now.
They brought back Darius Slayton.
They still have Jalen Hyatt, Jalen Hyatt or Wondell Robinson.
One of those guys is an odd man out.
So if the Titans traded a sixth round pick for one of them, I'd love that, especially
Wondell Robinson, the Titans need a slot receiver.
If you could trade a fifth round pick for Wondell Robinson,
and then you could draft a bigger, more physical X receiver,
like a Trey Harris or something like that.
Now you're cooking.
Now you have a decent wide receiver room to kind of have
for the next two or three years.
Romeo Dops from Green Bay. He was a guy who's been rumored as kind of have for the next two or three years. Uh, Romeo dobs from green Bay.
He was a guy who's been rumored, uh, as a trade target for the Titans, potentially.
Uh, a guy who's been involved in the trade conversations with DK Metcalf
when the Packers were interested in Metcalf dobs is a shaky, shaky risk is
what I would call it because he's had some off field issues.
I think they're more, you know,
mental health things is what it was reported.
You know, him just not feeling his best off the field,
but you know, you don't want to use that against the guy,
but at the same time, can you rely on him?
He had a good situation, a good environment in Green Bay,
and it still wasn't perfect.
I don't know if you could, if you could trade,
he's going to be a free agent after the year
So the pick value would be low
Because you know, you're gonna have to give him a new contract after the season But even if it's just a one-year experiment
You know one of these sixth round picks 178 188
For romeo daub's
Maybe you give him a shot. Uh, quentin johnston is another guy maybe. Kendrick Bourne from the New England
Patriots, a name I'm very, very interested in. He's been in the dog house in New England.
Now you got a new coach in Mike Rable, so maybe it'll be different, but you have Jalen
Polk who they just drafted, Javon Baker who they just drafted. They have Pop Douglas.
They also are going to draft a wide receiver. They may get Tetaroa McMillan or something
like that.
It looks like Kendrick Bourne is a guy who's a veteran who, why would the Patriots want to play him a ton? Why wouldn't you want to develop young guys like Polk and Baker and Douglas and
who you draft? It just doesn't make a lot of sense to have Kendrick Bourne as wide receiver five in
New England. Give him a sixth round pick for Kendrick Bourne and I think he's a guy who could
step in right away and contribute. He's better than Van Jefferson. So I think he's a pretty solid player, quite honestly,
when he's engaged and locked in and not being suppressed by the organization.
You know what I mean? So those are wide receivers that I would be interested in.
I think it's still more likely that Titans go into free free agency again a player like rondale more elijah more
Uh, I like the mccall hardman and then he signed
um
But there are players out there
Who I think makes some sense for the titans?
In free agency that don't require giving up a draft pick
But if they want to make a small trade with one of their late draft picks
I think a lot of these names make a ton of sense
But with that in mind we're gonna move and talk about the edge rushers that I think the Titans could be
interested in making a deal for

Titans fans, let's cap off today's edition of the Locked on Titans podcast. We talked about a potential trade for Will Levis.
We talked about some smaller trades at wide receiver.

But looking at edge rushers, if the Titans were to make a trade, again, there are some
bigger names out there that I think the Titans could potentially
take a swing at or I doubt that the Titans take a swing at these guys, but they're probably
available.
Maybe you could get them.
We got to start with Michael Parsons, right?
We're hearing rumors that they gave him a bad contract on the first offer.
He's going to be a free agent after the year.
He's making $24 million right now on his player option for the season.
And if the Cowboys want to lower that, they'll have to give them an extension.
But if they don't want to lower it and they don't want to give them an extension
right now, they may choose to just go ahead and trade them.
And again, I know that there are a lot of people out there.
They were like, you would get multiple first round picks for Michael Parsons, multiple,
multiple firsts. Well, remember any time that you make one of these kinds of trades where
a player needs a big time deal, the draft compensation is going to be lowered slightly because of the amount of
money you have to pay the player.
So not only do you have to give up the picks, but you have to pay the player.
That is why like Debo Samuel went for a fifth round pick the same as Deandre Hopkins last
year because Debo Samuel is making a lot of money.
And to take on the money, I can't give you a first round pick.
Now, I think Michael Parsons probably could get you a late first round pick.
I do.
But all of you people who want quarterback in the draft, you've made the argument.
How many playoff games is Miles Garrett one?
How many playoff games is TJ Watt one? How many playoff games is Miles Garrett one? How many playoff games is TJ Watt one?
How many playoff games is Michael Parsons one?
How many playoff games is Max Crosby one?
So, if Michael Parsons is available, great, but the Titans can't use their first round pick
because they're taking Cam Ward.
So if they want pick number 35 and a second round pick next year.
Maybe we can have a conversation about Michael Parsons and solving our edge rusher issue.
But Michael Parsons is another guy who's got a shaky reputation in the locker room.
He's getting in public fights with his former teammates.
He's very vocal online and the podcast and all that stuff.
So you're going to trade pick number 35 and a second round pick next year.
And remember Cowboys probably won a first even if they did it.
You're going to do that and you're going to pay them $42 million a year, the most money
ever for a non quarterback.
I just, I just don't know if that's something the Titans would do.
So that's the top name that you could even potentially think that could be available
for trade, but I don't think so.
The next step down for me is Travon Walker from the Jaguars.
But the Jags are never trading Travon Walker to the Titans.
Like LOL.
That's not happening.
But we're hearing rumors that Walker is available.
Walker is a good player.
And he's starting to, he's gotten better every year, which they expected it to be a little bit of a project, but he's not better than Aiden Hodgson.
So the Jags definitely messed up the first round pick.
Awesome.
Thank you.
But anyways, I think some guys who are more likely available and more likely possible for the Titans
the new york giants
cave on thibodaux
Been a little bit of a disappointment since being taken in the top five. He's going to be a free agent after the season
player option is a factor. He's only 24 years old
they have brian burns
if they take abdul what if the Browns go Travis Hunter and then the
Giants want to take the best player in the draft and they take Abdul Carter and then they have Brian Burns Abdul Carter
Dexter Lawrence and
Cave on Thibodeau they don't need all those guys. They're not gonna pay Thibodeau
So trade him
There we go cave on thibodeau could make sense for the Tennessee Titans I think you're
probably looking at a third round pick so the Titans would have to trade back
from number 35 get a couple of picks and then use a third round pick to bring in
cave on thibodeau and give him a shot Addafe oway
From baltimore. It's the same situation. They always have a ton of depth there in baltimore
He's kind of been passed up on the depth chart and he's still just a rotational pass rusher
Um, he's going to be a free agent after the season, but he's only 26 years old
You bring in a talented guy like addafe oway you continue to develop him and maybe by next year
He's a starting edge that can be a high level producer.
10 sacks a couple of years ago, five sacks last year.
I think another guy who makes a ton of sense is Boye Mafé.
Boye Mafé, Seattle Seahawks, going to be a free agent after the season, only 26 years old, only making $1.8 million.
They just signed Dexter Lawrence.
They have, uh, Euchenna Nuoso.
They have Leonard Williams.
They have Jaren Reed.
They have Byron Murphy.
They have so much invested in their front.
I don't know if they're going to pay
Boyer Mafay after the year.
I love Boyer Mafay coming out of Minnesota
in the draft as well,
but he could be a good option for the tights.
I think a fourth or a fifth round pick.
You could probably get your hands on Boyer Mafay
and he can come in right away and be a starting edge rusher for you and part
of your rotation.
So those are some guys I have my eye on in the trade market for the Tennessee Titans.
Some at the top that aren't as realistic, but some of those mid tier to low tier options
I think could make a ton of sense with a day three pick for the Tennessee Titans.
But that's going to do it for me today, folks.
I am your host, Tyler Rowland, and this was Locked on Titans.
