on day two?

Welcome to a bonus edition of the Locked On Titans podcast.
I am your host, Tyler Rowland.
Titans fans, the Tennessee Titans started out the NFL draft by taking J.C. Latham at number seven.
But now that round one is over,
what should the Tennessee Titans do next?
I'm going to give you my grade for the J.C. Latham pick,
plus talk about the best remaining prospects at every position
and which of them I want the Tennessee Titans to target.
So many good players still on the board.
We're going to dive into that before we do.
Thank you for making the Locked on Titans podcast your first listen each and every day.

Make sure that you guys check out my full 30 minute reaction to the JC Latham
pick. I posted that earlier today. And then of course, make sure that you stay with me here
on the Locked on Titans podcast throughout the rest of draft weekend. I'm going to have instant
reaction videos for every pick. I'm going to be going live every single day to break down what
happened and look ahead to what's next. And that's exactly what we're about to do right here.
So as I said, I am going to give my grade for the J.C. Latham pick.
And after thinking about it,
and after looking at the way things played out,
for me, I am going to give the pick a B,
a B plus for the Tennessee Titans for J.C. Latham.
They couldn't get Joe Alt.
They couldn't get Malik Neighbors.
They had a choice between wide receiver or offensive tackle,
and ultimately they went with their top prospect on the board.
And as all of the comments have come out and said,
Latham thinks he can play left tackle.
Callahan and Rancar Thon thinks he could play left tackle.
And most importantly, Bill Callahan thinks that J.C. Latham can play left tackle.
So I'm going to give the Titans a B+, and it hit their biggest need by far to get that
left tackle.
They have that now with J.C. Latham.
They can move forward into the rest of the draft.
And speaking of the rest of the draft, what should the Tennessee Titans be doing?
Well, there, like I said, are a ton of good players
still on the board for the Titans.
And we got to talk about what the biggest needs are remaining.
Let me know what you think the Titans' biggest needs are remaining
going forward.
But for me,
we still have wide receiver
and edge rusher.
Those are by far the two biggest positions of need for the Titans
going forward in the draft.
They could look at cornerback.
They could look at linebacker.
They could look at another offensive tackle.
They need more.
All right?
So they could do a bunch of different things,
and they have the ability to do a bunch of different things
based on all of the great players that are left.
So here we go.
Who are the top players left at each position?
Who do I want the Titans to go after?
Well, number one, look at all of the good wide receivers
that are still left for the Tennessee Titans.
Adonai Mitchell.
Look, A.D. Mitchell is dropping in the draft. There are concerns about how he's going to handle his diabetes. There are concerns about his maturity.
There are concerns about the way that he gives effort out on the
field if he's not getting the ball. Alright? So there
are concerns about A.D. Mitchell and that's why he's dropping in the draft right now.
But in the second round, throw all those concerns out of the window.
Go get Adonai Mitchell if he's there for the Titans at 38.
I think that would be a great idea to go and do that.
Not only that, but Ladd McConkie is still available.
Ladd McConkie would be a perfect fit in the slot for the Tennessee Titans.
He could play outside a little bit as well to rotate in and out
with the other wide receivers.
Ladd-McConkie would be a perfect fit.
So I love Adonai Mitchell.
I love Ladd-McConkie.
And honestly, at this point, at 38, Keon Coleman.
The Titans need a long-term X receiver.
DeAndre Hopkins is on the last year of his deal.
He's 32 years old. If you could get Keon Coleman and let him learn from DeAndre Hopkins is on the last year of his deal. He's 32 years old. If you could get
Keon Coleman and let him learn from DeAndre Hopkins, imagine having Keon Coleman on one side,
DeAndre Hopkins on the other side, and then Calvin Ridley in the slot or Calvin Ridley at Z.
Keon Coleman at X with DeAndre Hopkins as your big slot in your Tyler Boyd role. That would be absolutely amazing.
Okay?
That would be amazing.
So, A.D. Mitchell, Ladd McConkie, Keon Coleman, all available.
You also still have Roman Wilson, Jalen Polk, Javon Baker, Malachi Corley,
Troy Franklin, also available still.
Now, I would take Roman Wilson, Jalen Polk, Javon Baker, Malachi Corley, Troy Franklin, also available still. Now, I would take Roman Wilson, Jalen Polk,
Javon Baker, Malachi Corley, Troy Franklin. I would like to trade back if the Titans want
one of those guys, but at 38, if the Titans stick and pick, A.D. Mitchell, Ladd McConkie,
Keon Coleman, one of those guys is going to be available for the Titans, and I think they
would make a ton of sense. But edge rusher may be to be available for the Titans, and I think they would make a ton of sense.
But edge rusher may be the bigger need for the Titans,
and that's where they may go.
We're going to dive into who's available at the edge,
plus cornerback and safety.
There are some good options.
Other offensive tackles, a lot to discuss.

Titans fans, let's continue this bonus edition of the Locked on Titans podcast.
We talked about the JC Latham pick.
I gave it a B plus for the Titans. We're moving forward now to what'sed on Titans podcast. We talked about the J.C. Latham pick. I gave it a B-plus for the Titans.
We're moving forward now to what's next on day two.
I gave you my top wide receivers that would make sense for the Titans,
but edge rusher may be a bigger need.
Honestly, though, I don't think there are a lot of good options at edge rusher. You saw Chop Robinson and Darius Robinson already go in the first round.
For me, you have Marshawn Nealon, the small school guy out of Western Michigan.
You have Chris Braswell out of Alabama.
Jalix Hunt from Houston Christian.
I don't know if any of those guys are deserving of the number 38 pick.
Maybe Marshawn Nealon, but I don't know about that.
I don't think that's where the value is for the Titans to go edge rusher on day two.
Now, there are other defensive line options.
You could talk about Johnny Newton.
You could talk about Braden Fisk.
You could talk about Chris Jenkins.
Those are guys that would make sense to go at pick 38.
But are the Titans really going to take Jerzon Newton,
who plays the same position as Jeffrey Simmons?
Are the Titans going to take Brandon Fisk,
who plays the same position as Jeffrey Simmons,
penetrating three techniques? I don't know if that's the right move for them either, so I don't
see the value at pass rusher right now. I see a lot more value at wide receiver. You know where I
see some great value? In the secondary. I know that it may be a surprise. We just paid two corners.
We blah, blah, blah. Safety's not. If the Titans can get Cooper Dajin
to play safety next to Imani Hooker
who can come down in the box
and play man coverage in the slot
who's physical enough,
I think that the NFL is telling us
they don't see Cooper Dajin as a cornerback.
And let's be honest,
there aren't a lot of white cornerbacks for a reason.
Okay?
You know, let's,
shout out Shane Gillis, alright? Like, there's
a reason. I think that Cooper DeGene
is a safety, and if you have a
Monty Hooker as your deep safety, and you can get
Cooper DeGene, a playmaker
who can cover slot wide receivers,
who plays physical in the run, who has
versatility, who can be your strong
safety with a Monty Hooker back in the back end,
I think that would be a great value
if the Titans got Cooper DeGene. I would be absolutely all over that. At this point, it's about getting the best
player possible. Like if you have a player like Dijon who is on the field, I think you have to
take him if he's available at 38. But also Kool-Aid McKinstry. Kool-Aid McKinstry is one of the best
man coverage corners in the league. You need so many cornerbacks in today's NFL to guard people.
The Titans have played dime package with three safeties.
They could play with four cornerbacks if they have enough good cornerbacks,
and there will be injuries.
So I think it would be a good move to take a cornerback,
and you've got Kool-Aid McKinstry.
You've got TJ Tampa. You've got Kamari Lassiter.
You've got Ennisnis Regstraw.
It gets me so excited I'm coughing.
Excuse me.
I'm hyped up off two Coca-Colas getting through this draft night.
It's 1230 a.m., baby, but I am hyped for what the Titans can do in day two.
I do want to mention some other options here.
Linebacker, Edron Cooper, Junior Colson, Peyton Wilson.
I don't think taking linebacker at 38
is the right move. I think the Titans can get a linebacker
later on in the draft, especially
with how they're going to fall here. Other
offensive tackles. The Titans could come
back and take Patrick Paul.
The Titans could come, because if
let's say you get Patrick Paul,
he works out. You got Patrick Paul
at left tackle. You could put Latham at right tackle.
You got versatility there.
Now you got multiple offensive tackles.
Kingsley Suomontai has played right tackle 1,000 snaps,
has played left tackle 1,000 snaps.
You get him in.
Roger Rosengarten, I don't think that's as good of a pick.
But Paul, Kieran Ademagy,
Amagaji, Kieran Amagaji,
from Yale, that's a project pick,
a project pick,
who played right tackle in college.
You get Kieran Amagaji,
and you build him up,
and now in 2025,
you might have your left and your right tackle solved.
So going back to the offensive tackle well
may be an option for the Titans.
Also, you got JPJ, Jackson Powers Johnson,
and Zach Frazier as centers.
I don't think the Titans should do that,
but if they think those players could play guard,
I think Zach Frazier could play guard.
I absolutely think Zach Frazier could play guard.
So there are a ton of great options available.
I just went over all of the names that I really like
at the positions that make sense.
Can't wait to see what the Titans do tomorrow at 7.
I'm going to be back with you guys breaking down the picks
as soon as they happen on Friday night.
And then after Friday night concludes,
I'll have another 10-minute breakdown, 12, 13-minute breakdown recap
to talk about what happens on day three for the Titans as well.
But that is going to do it for this bonus edition of the Locked on Titans podcast.
As always, I am your host, Tyler Rowland,
and this was Locked on Titans.
