In this seven round mock draft, Tyler ...shows exactly what it would be! The Titans add some top-100 picks and still get a perfect fit at wide receiver while hitting a bunch of needs on defense with high-upside players. It is our final mock draft Monday before the draft hits on Thursday.
It's draft week.
I can't believe that we have finally made it.
And with that being the case, it is time for my perfect,
the ideal seven round mock draft
for the Tennessee Titans.
I got two trades, a bunch of different options.
I'm going to go over all of it with you guys today.
Before we dive into it, do want to thank you for making the Locked on Titans podcast your

It's your team every day.
Shout out to my everydayers out there.
I got a great week in store for you guys.
Obviously, we're doing my ideal seven-round mock draft today.
Tomorrow, I'm going to look at all of the visits the Titans have had
with draft prospects
and try to connect the dots a little bit there.
On Wednesday, we're going to talk about all of the latest rumors,
what the whispers are, what we're hearing about what the Titans could do.
Thursday, of course, I will have a full draft preview.
And then I do instant reaction videos after every pick.
I'm going to have nightly recaps and previews of the next day all throughout the weekend. Make sure
that you stay with me here on the Locked
On Titans podcast. This is one of the best
weeks of the year. But with
that being said, we got a mock draft to get into
and a preamble. Let's get it.
Number one, I
don't want the Titans to trade down in the first
round. I've said it for months and months
and months. I've been consistent. We
talked about the options and what it could look like in the Titans very well may trade down in the first round,
but I don't want them to do that. I want them to stick, pick, take a blue chip prospect. Obviously
the top two realistic options for me are Malik neighbors and Joe Alt. Those are my top options
far and away. I'll be honest. If the Titans don't come away with one
of those two players, I will feel at least a shred of disappointment. There's no way around it,
even if I'm happy with the result that ultimately happens. But with that being said, Malik Neighbors
was off the board in this mock draft. And it looks like how I think things are going to go.
You get four quarterbacks in the top six.
You get Marvin Harrison Jr. and Malik Nabors off the board.
And it was an easy decision for me.
I like Romo Dunze.
I don't want the Titans to take Brock Bowers.
So, I mean, I'm the leader of the old cult.
Why would I do anything else?
Six foot eight and a half, long arms, former tight end, athletic. Father was an
NFL player. He's got the bloodlines. He's got everything that you want. The high end upside,
is it there? I think that some people don't give Joe Alt the credit for what he can become. He's
just 21 years old. Does he need to stay lower in his stance? Does he need to play with more power
in his hands? Absolutely.
But he's going to get better. People act like Joe Alt is a finished product. He has hit his ceiling.
He's not going to get any better. This is who he is. And a lot of people want to give the, you know,
Colton Miller, Jake Matthews, Taylor LeJuan is a name that I throw out there. But my guy,
Will Lummis from Titan Size made a good point. Why aren't we seeing a comparison with Lane Johnson?
Lane Johnson had similar qualities coming out of college, and Lane Johnson has turned into one of the top five offensive tackles in the NFL.
So I think Joe Alt has more upside and more potential
than maybe people give him credit for.
No one acts like he's going to get better.
They all talk about what Latham can get better at,
what Fashton can get better at,
but Joe Ault can improve as well.
So easy decision for me.
Pick number one, it was Odunze, Bowers,
a defensive player, or Joe Ault,
and I'm running up to the podium
and selecting Joe Ault and filling the Titans'
biggest need for the last three years
with a 10-year starter.
So Ault is my number one pick.
No shock there.
Leader of the Ault cult, baby. I'm doing my
job. But with the Titans' second pick, number 38, that is where I want to see the Titans make a
trade down. That is where I think that they can get a ton of value, and I found value here. So,
I made a trade with the Green Bay Packers, who I'm allegedly a fan of. Not the Titans, you know,
whatever. Anyways, but the Green Bay Packers have a ton of picks in this draft.
A ton. I think it's like 11, maybe even 12.
And they have a ton of picks in the top 100.
The Packers don't need as many players in this draft as they have picks,
which is why they're a team that a lot of people think will move up the board.
Now, will they be able to move up the board in the first round? That might be a bit too rich. So a move up in the second round for the
Green Bay Packers could make a ton of sense. So here is the trade that I have decided to go with.
I moved down 20 spots in the second round from number 38 all the way down to 58. But what I'm getting back is number 88 and number 91.
Now, I've got to kick in 106 to make it work.
If you look at the trade charts, like the Rich Hill trade chart,
this is 184 to 189.
Pretty clean, pretty even.
There are some previous draft trades in the last couple of years
that would point to this being a fair trade as well.
So the Packers come up to 38,
and the Titans throw in 106,
and in return, the Titans get back 58, 88, and 91.
So you go from having only two picks in the top 100 to having four picks in the top 100
in a draft that is top heavy.
That, you know, after the first 100 picks, 125 picks,
the talent really drops off.
So this gives the Titans a way to get a ton of those top 100 prospects After the first 100 picks, 125 picks, the talent really drops off.
So this gives the Titans a way to get a ton of those top 100 prospects and hit a bunch of needs and get a bunch of good players.
So I made the move.
I know going down 20 spots can be a little hard to stomach
when you first hear about it,
but I think this is a great move for the Titans and the Packers.
The Packers have 41 as well.
So they have 25, 38 now, and 41. It makes sense from the Packers, the Packers have 41 as well. So they have 25, 38 now, and 41.
It makes sense from the Packers' perspective
to kind of consolidate some of those picks to jump up the board.
So I think this is a good deal for the Titans.
And with pick number 58, I just can't go away from him.
I went with Ricky Pearsall, the wide receiver out of Florida.
The Tennessee Titans get their long-term slot.
They get their safety blanket for Will Levis.
They get their Tyler Boyd.
I've seen comparisons to Christian Kirk.
I've seen comparisons to Tyler Boyd as well.
I don't know that, you know, Ricky Pearsall is going to be Christian Kirk,
but I think that Tyler Boyd makes a ton of sense at 6'0", 190-some pounds, Ricky Pearsall is an excellent route runner.
He's a tough catcher of the football,
and Will Levis is going to fire some balls into tight windows.
Like, that's going to happen.
So you get a guy like Ricky Pearsall who is willing to make the tough catches
over the middle of the field.
I just think it's a perfect fit with Hopkins on the outside,
Ridley on the outside,
Pearsall in the slot. You've really done something to this wide receiver group. I think this would be excellent. And for the Titans to drop back to 58 and pick up two more top 100 picks and still
leave out with Joe Alt and Ricky Pearsall, I mean, I like, I'm absolutely cooking right now.
So again,
this is an ideal mock draft in my opinion.
And starting off with Alt and Ricky Pearsall
and adding two extra top 100 picks,
I don't know how the Titans could not be absolutely cheering
in the draft war room if that happens.
So Joe Alt at seven,
a trade down at 38
to pick up more additional draft capital
and then taking Ricky Pearsall at 58
to be your permanent slot wide receiver.
Love what we got going on so far,
but there's a lot more to come.
I'm so excited about this draft class.
It's time to hit some defense, ladies and gentlemen.
So we're going to dive into that.
Before we do,

Titans fans, let's continue today's Mock Draft Monday edition of the Locked on Titans podcast.
We took Joe Alt, number one.
No shock there.
My everydayers are not surprised.
All right.
And then we traded down in the second round to get some extra picks
and took Ricky Pearsall, the wide receiver, out of Florida.
So love what we've done so far.
But now it's time to use those additional picks.
Again, as a reminder, the trade I made with the Green Bay Packers,
38-106 for 58-88-91.
So now we're at pick number 88, and it's time to go defense.
And I went with edge rusher out of Kansas, Austin Booker.
So number one, I love the length.
Six foot four, long arms.
He is an explosive and twitchy athlete,
which that's what I'm looking for on the edge.
That's what I want.
Somebody who has great explosion off the line of scrimmage,
some twitch to his game.
He may not be the bendiest edge rusher of all time, all right?
But with that athleticism, that length,
and he's fierce in run defense.
He could clean some things up, of course.
I mean, these guys are coming out of college.
They can all get better.
But he is willing to play against the run.
So when you have somebody like Arden Key
who really is ineffective against the run
and is more of just a pure situational pass rusher,
which the coaching staff has already said that,
so they confirmed my view of Arden Key,
getting somebody like Austin Booker
who's willing to be fierce against the run,
I think that's huge. Now, look, Booker needs to put on some weight, okay? He's a little thin,
and that can come with time, but he's a younger pro- well, younger in this draft class, I guess.
So, he has the ability to put on more weight and grow into his man body,
and then with that, he needs to develop his pass rushing technique.
He doesn't have a lot of great pass rushing moves,
secondary moves after he shoots his first one.
What's he going to do after?
So I think improving his technique, improving his pass rush moves,
getting with the coaching staff of the Tennessee Titans on defense
and growing as a player physically with the weight
and then with his development and his technique,
I think that you get a guy with great athleticism,
with great explosion, with twitch, with length, with youth,
and then you coach him up.
That is what you're supposed to do.
So I hit the Titans' second biggest need at No. 88
with Austin Booker from Kansas.
So now we have Joe Ault, Ricky Pearsall, Austin Booker,
and three picks later, No. 91.
It's time for the Titans to pick again.
Again, that trade down with the Packers was a 20-spot trade down,
but it got you two additional picks in the top 100.
And with that second additional pick that I picked up, No. 91,
I know there's some downside here, but I can't ignore the ball production.
Cam Kitchens from Miami.
Safety.
I had to do it.
I had to do it.
Look, I had other options.
Could have went with Renardo Green,
the cornerback out of Florida State.
And I think the Titans may draft a cornerback here
and people may not be expecting it.
So I did consider that.
Dominic Punei from Kansas, the offensive lineman,
I think getting another guard in the pipeline could make sense.
Jeremiah Trotter Jr., the linebacker from Clemson,
was on the board as well.
Could have gone linebacker.
But I'm going with Kinchins.
All right, look.
Again, ball hawk, ball production, interceptions.
Go take the ball away from the other team.
That's what this defense needs to do.
That's what defenses have to do in the NFL.
There's no more 85 Bears.
There's no more 2,000 Ravens.
All right, that is over.
All right, defenses are not elite anymore.
Look at San Francisco last year in the playoffs.
They didn't need an elite defense. And all of a sudden, they're giving up a San Francisco last year in the playoffs. They didn't need elite defense.
And all of a sudden, they're giving up a bunch of points all over the place.
Okay?
So what you got to do on defense in the NFL nowadays is bend, don't break,
be good in the red zone, and create turnovers.
And Cam Kinchens is going to turn the ball over.
Again, ball hawk with great range as a deep free safety.
This is going to allow Imani Hooker.
I used to talk about Imani Hooker and Kevin Byard in this way.
You play man coverage across the board.
All right?
And then you have Kevin Byard roaming the middle of the field and zone
reading the quarterback size.
And then you had Imani Hooker back deep as free safety
roaming the field, making sure no one beats him deep,
reading the quarterback's eyes.
And the Titans had two safeties who are great at causing turnovers.
Well, now, Imani Hooker is a couple years older.
He's a more physical player than Kitchens.
So, what you do is Imani Hooker takes over that Kevin Byard role.
You're going to have man coverage across the board with Chito and Roger and Snead.
role. You're going to have man coverage across the board with Chito and Roger and Snead. And then you have Imani Hooker as
your robber patrolling the middle of the field and Kinchin's back deep
covering everything. Great range. Sideline to sideline.
Great instincts. Now, he does get beat on big
plays. That happens. He gives up some big plays. He gets beat
a little over aggressive. Bites up some big plays. He gets beat, a little overaggressive, bites on some things, and it causes
him problems. But that is not an athletic
problem. That is coaching. You have to coach him
to be smarter about when he's going to trigger,
when he's going to fly around. He's a guy who wants to make those turnover-worthy plays.
So he's always going to have that aggressiveness.
But again, I go back to a guy like Geno Stone,
who I was interested in for the Titans in free agency.
All right?
Kitchens has the ability to play in that way.
They may not be similar players.
I'm not comping them.
But they both have the ability to play that deep free safety role,
range from sideline to sideline,
and pick off passes.
All right.
Cam Kitchens is going to create turnovers in the NFL.
And I want him to do it for the Titans back deep
with the man coverage across the board everywhere else.
So I just love the idea of a ball-hulking safety.
And ball skills and ball production in college, to me,
translates to the NFL level.
And that's what I'm looking for.
So, love the fit there.
So, four top 100 picks.
Joe Ault, Ricky Pearsall, Austin Booker, Cam Kitchens.
We're cooking, folks.
All right, let me know how you would grade my draft so far down below.
But, we still got more defensive depth
to add here. In my next pick, it takes a little while. The Titans go all the way to 146.
But at 146, it's time to get a linebacker. And Rancarton's specialty is drafting linebackers
late in the draft. And he does it again with Trevin Wallace from Kentucky.
Look, if you've been listening to the show for the last month or so, any of our Mock Draft Mondays,
I basically always end up with Trevin Wallace. I just love him as a player. Six foot two,
230 some pounds, size, length, really long arms, and he's a great athlete. So I'm getting that size, that length, that power,
that potential with that athleticism. I mean, now some people are saying that Wallace has
a chance to maybe go in the third round now because he's moving up boards a little bit.
If you were doing mock drafts on PFF site, he was there in the seventh round.
Well, I don't think he's going to be in the seventh round. Absolutely. And I also don't think he's probably going to go as high as the third round. It'd probably be somewhere in between.
So that's why I took him here in the fifth round. And I could have gone with Cedric Gray from North
Carolina, pass coverage linebacker with good speed. Cam Hart, the big physical cornerback
out of Notre Dame. Two offensive tackles who I've liked throughout the process.
Christian Jones from Texas.
Javon Foster from Mizzou.
Like, I could have gone those directions,
but I cannot turn down the potential right here with Trevin Wallace.
Like, I just simply can't do it.
So we get an edge rusher.
We get a safety.
We get a linebacker here in the mid-rounds of the draft
to go with Joe All and Ricky Pearsall on the offensive side of the ball.
Again, this is my ideal draft class for the Titans,
my ideal mock, and it includes a second trade.
I got a second trade brewing on day three.
Excited to tell you guys what it is and what my final two picks are.
That's right. Two picks.
I make a trade up in just a moment.
We'll get into it now.
Before I do, though, do want to let you guys know

Titans fans, let's cap off today's edition of the Locked on Titans podcast.
Doing my ideal seven-round mock draft for the Tennessee Titans.
Some great picks so far.
Let me know your grade for my mock draft down below.
What decisions do you agree with?
What do you disagree with?
I'm all ears.
All right, it's draft week, folks. One of the best weeks of the year here on the Locked on Titans podcast.
Our mock draft Monday is today, but tomorrow we are going to look at all the visits that the Tennessee Titans have done so far
and kind of try to connect the dots.
Then on Wednesday, go over the latest rumors, what we're hearing,
what are the whispers, all right?
What could the Titans do in the draft?
Who do they like?
Other things to pay attention to as well.
Thursday, a full draft preview.
And then, of course, I'll have instant reaction videos
to every single pick. I'll do a
nightly recap going live every
night after the draft concludes to
talk about what the Titans have done, look ahead
at what could be coming next. The content
is coming your way in a heavy,
heavy fashion. So make sure that you stick
with me here. Get subscribed, stay subscribed
to the Locked on Titans podcast. But
with that being said, again,
Joe Ault at number 7. Trade down
in round 2. Ricky Pearsall at
58. Austin Booker at
88. Cam Kinchens at 91.
And then Trevin Wallace
at 146.
We got
three picks left
on the board right now.
182, 242, and 252.
All right.
So we'll talk about the trade that I'm making in the seventh round.
But before we do, we'll talk about 182.
And at 182 in the sixth round, I had some options.
I could have hit the defensive line again with Justin Aboidbe from Alabama.
I could have went running back line again with Justin Aboidbe from Alabama.
I could have went running back with Isaac Garendo,
who I think would be a good fit for the Titans.
Javon Foster was still on the board, and I like Foster quite a bit.
But let me explain why I didn't take Javon Foster.
Because the Titans traded for Leroy Watson.
And I think the reason they did that is they're not taking two offensive tackles in this draft.
They used one of their seventh round picks
to go get Watson.
So look at it this way.
Instead of thinking,
oh, you know,
the Titans traded that pick,
just think that they drafted Leroy Watson.
Again, Watson is a converted tight end,
a young player
who still can develop into something. We'll see. I'm not going to put
my expectations through the roof or anything, but in my opinion, the Titans did take two offensive
tackles in the draft because Leroy Watson was basically a drafted tackle. All right. Undrafted
guy from 2022, still young. That's a draft pick. So I'm not going two tackles because I think the
Titans already made that decision
to go get Watson as their second tackle from this draft.
You know what I mean?
So we have all, don't need to do that.
And with that in mind,
a guy that I just love in this process
is Tip Raymond out of Illinois, the tight end.
Six foot six, 270. incredible blocker from day one.
Like, he is going to be, I think, you look at tight end for the Titans,
it's not a massive need, okay?
But they need a blocking style tight end.
Chigga Conquo, move tight end, not a blocker.
Josh Wiley put on some weight.
They're going to try to use him more in line, but I just don't think that he's ever going to be the blocker. Josh Wiley put on some weight. They're going to try to use him more in line,
but I just don't think that he's ever going to be the blocker
that they need him to be to be in every down tight end.
Tip Raymond, though, gives you that.
And Raymond tested very well.
Like, he's got better athleticism than it seems like
from looking at his tape or watching him play on Saturdays,
you know, on TV.
Like, he's a better athlete than it looked like. And while he did not give you much in terms of
catching the ball, I think he had around 400 receiving yards for his whole college career.
He has the ability to do more every year. Every year we see players who get drafted late at the
tight end position who turn out to be way better players than what you expect.
I mean, Travis Kelsey was a third-round pick.
George Kittle was a fifth-round pick.
I think that Tip Raymond has some ability to be a George Kittle.
He's got the athleticism.
He has the blocking chops.
And even if he doesn't become one of the best tight ends in the entire NFL,
which I think would be silly to actually expect,
he's still going to be an excellent blocking tight end
that fits perfectly with your current tight end room.
You got Wiley who can kind of do a little bit of both.
You got Chigaconquo who's your pass-catching move tight end.
And then you have Raymond as your big-time blocking tight end.
I just think it's a perfect fit for the Titans.
So getting Raymond here at number 82 in the sixth round,
absolutely love it.
But now it's time to talk about my second trade.
So the Titans traded down in the second round
and everybody's talking about trade down, trade down, trade down
and I get it.
I get it.
I want to see them trade down at some point.
Second round I think is perfect, which is why I did it. My ideal mock draft.
But I want to see the Titans make a move up late.
If they have somebody on the board that they think is a perfect fit, and I do
have somebody who I think is a perfect fit for the Titans who can come in right away and be a
starter in the seventh round. Now, the Titans
have 242 and 252 left.
The player that I want, probably not making it that far.
So I made a move up the board with the Chargers.
And why I think this works is because the Chargers
want to add as many players as possible
as they refit the roster in the image of Jim Harbaugh.
It's going to be a major change.
So I think the Chargers would love to have a couple extra picks at the end
rather than having to go get guys in priority free agency who went undrafted.
They can just take them with their last two picks.
So I did 242 and 252 for 225.
Two seventh round picks late to move up, you know, 20 spots.
Good trade, easy trade, not going to be hard to accomplish.
And with that 225, the last pick in the draft for the Titans,
I took Fabian Lovett, the nose tackle, out of Florida State.
Just love what he can do.
Strong, long arms
can take on the double team
can hit the knee on the ground
and not give ground up to the double team again
which is what he's going to be asked to do
look, he's not a pass rusher
he doesn't have pass rush ability
maybe you get a little bit out of him eventually
but that's not what you necessarily need
so you have Sebastian Joseph Day
you have Jeff Simmons.
You have Fabian Lovett.
You add in Austin Booker with Arden Key and Harold Landry.
TK McClendon is a guy who maybe could be a little bit better.
He's with the team.
They gave him a little bit of a deal to keep him around.
Now you're cooking, all right?
Now you have your starting nose,
a versatile defensive lineman in Joseph Day,
your star pass rusher from the interior in Simmons.
You add Booker as a speed guy who can defend the run on the outside
with Arden Key, your situational pass rusher,
and then Harold Landry as your top edge.
And I think the Tennessee Titans have really fixed the defensive line.
Is it perfect? Is it one of the best defensive lines in the entire NFL?
Probably not.
But I think what they've done here is excellent.
So here is the mock draft in totality.
Joe Ault at number seven.
A trade down from 38 to 58,
picking up 88 and 91,
also sending 106.
At 58, you take Ricky Pearsall.
At 88, you take Austin Booker.
At 91, you get Cameron Kinchens as your back end,
free safety, ball halt, getting interceptions,
range, sideline to sideline.
Then you get your prototype size,
freak athlete linebacker in Trevin Wallace.
You get your blocking tight end in Tip Raymond,
who has the potential to be one of the better tight ends in the league
if he can come around as a pass catcher.
And then you get your starting nose tackle for the next four years
in Fabian Lovett, who's an older prospect,
who's ready to play right away.
I got an A- grade from Pro Football Focus for the draft class,
but let me know your grade down below.
But in this draft, we hit all the biggest needs. Tackle,
wide receiver, edge. We fill in spots on defense
at safety, D-line, linebacker with high
upside players who can still develop
but can again help you right away. This is my ideal
mock draft for the Tennessee Titans.
Two trades, one down, one up.
Very, very happy about this group.
Let me know again your thoughts on the mock draft down below,
but that is going to do it for me today, folks.
As always, I am your host, Tyler Rowland,
and this was Locked on Titans.
