Speaking of every day, shout out to my everydayers out there.
Tune in Monday through Friday.
Couldn't do it without you guys if you aren't an everydayer.
Well, you need to be one.
On tomorrow's show, I'm going to be looking at some Titans awards,
who I think will be the best defensive player, best offensive player,
rookie of the year, stuff like that, who will be the biggest disappointment,
all kinds of things.
So make sure that you tune in for that and give me your guys' feedback.
Speaking of feedback, let me know down below in the comments
or hit me up on Twitter at TicTacTitans.
Let me know what you think the Tennessee Titans record will be this year.
I think the Titans are going to be in the playoff hunt all year long,
but as I've been saying for the past week or so,
I think they may get off to a little bit of a slow start.
I don't think it'll be a disastrous start for the Titans,
but I think it could be a little slow.
And that begins with week one at the Chicago Bears,
where I know a lot of you will be upset to hear this,
but I do think the Titans lose week one against the Chicago Bears
in a very, very close game.
I think this game will be a one-point game,
three-point game at maximum.
I think it's going to be a tight one.
I think at the end of the day, the Bears are at home,
and the Titans have basically a brand-new team,
brand-new players, brand-new coaching staff,
brand-new system.
I mean, it's all brand-new for Will Levis.
It's like he's a rookie all over again.
And I think that there are going to be certain communication-related things
that could be difficult.
The Chicago Bears fans are going to be fired up for this game
with Caleb Williams as the QB.
I think it's going to be very noisy in the Windy City.
And I think there are certain things that later in the season,
Will Levis is going to look out at Calvin Ridley,
and they're not going to have to hear each other.
They're just going to know, oh, based on this look that I'm seeing
from the defense, we're going to make this adjustment.
It's just going to be a known thing.
You cannot, that communication cannot be rushed through training camp.
It's going to take into the season when they're playing real games
for everyone to be on the same page.
So I think the Titans are going to try to do changes.
They're going to try to audible.
They're going to have to communicate with each other
because this is brand new situations for most of them.
And I think with the environment in Chicago,
it may be just a little bit difficult,
and there may be one or two plays where the Titans maybe weren't able to appropriately change things
or communicate with each other, and that could be the difference in the game.
So I do think it's going to be a very, very close game.
I think it's a game that the Titans could absolutely win,
but I think the Titans lose week one.
But then they bounce back week two at home against the New York Jets.
I don't really believe in the New York Jets all that much.
Like they're getting a lot of hype this year,
but their offensive line has a lot of older players on it.
Who are they going to be able to stay healthy?
Can they protect Aaron Rodgers?
The Titans are going to blitz a ton and Rodgers isn't as mobile as he used to be.
Obviously at his older age and coming off of the Achilles injury.
I don't think Rodgers is going to be able to get away from some of the
blitzing linebackers that the Titans are going to send at him.
And are they going to have a song Redick?
If they don't have Redick,
then their pass rush is just nowhere near as good as it has been in previous
years.
And if the Titans are playing a team that doesn't have a good pass rush,
that's only going to help the young offensive line.
So for me, I think the Titans win week two against the New York Jets,
which brings them to one and one.
Then week three at home against the Green Bay Packers,
I have this as a loss.
Never beaten the Green Bay Packer fan allegations with that one.
But Green Bay is just a better team.
Like, I don't know how
else to say it.
Jordan Love is a better player than Will Levis
right now. Their
offensive line isn't a bunch of big-name
stars, but they have cohesion and they
play very well together.
They have a really good pass rush
unit as well with
Rashawn Gary,
Preston Smith, Lucas Van Ness, Devontae Wyatt.
You got Clark in there as well.
I mean, they just have a really good team.
They have a really, really good team.
I think the Packers, I have the Packers going to the Super Bowl this year.
So I just don't think the Titans are good enough to beat the Packers this early in the
year. I think if the Titans played the Packers in the back half of the season, when they had a
chance to get their own cohesion and, you know, be on the same page more than they're going to be
early in the year, I think the Titans could win this game, especially with it being at home.
But I think with it being so early in the season and Green Bay just being a better team off the start, I think Green Bay wins that game, dropping the
Titans to one and two through three weeks. So again, a little bit of a slow start. I think if
you told Titans fans, the Titans are going to be one and two through the first two weeks, people
would call that a slow start. But week four, Monday night football at the Miami Dolphins.
Some would say, I don't think it would be right,
but it'll be played up this way.
The Titans season's hanging in the balance.
If they drop to one and three going into the bye week at week five,
they're not going to make the playoffs.
If they go to two and two,2 though they're still in the hunt.
And as I told you guys at the beginning of the show
the Titans will be in the playoff hunt
and I have them winning again in Miami.
Let me just say this.
I think Will Levis owns Tua.
I think it's just going to be a thing.
It's going to be one of those things in Will Levis' career
where he just always beats Miami if he plays in Miami. Will Levis runs
Miami. He is Miami Vice. I don't think
their pass rush is great. Jalen Phillips, good player, coming back.
Is he going to be 100%? Nick Chubb, not going to be out there for the first four games.
They lost Christian Wilkins as well.
Also, not in love with their offensive line.
Teron Armstead and Austin Jackson are pretty good tackles,
but the interior, they lost a bunch of guys on the interior,
and the Titans are going to bring pressure up the interior with their blitzes.
So I think Odell is going to be out, which helps the Titans' quarterback room.
I mean, I think the Titans beat the Miami Dolphins week four on the
road, Monday night football in the Florida heat, something about it. I just think Will Levis is
going to dominate Miami his whole life. He's got a mental edge on them now after the comeback win
last week, but then the Titans go into the buy in week five. That sucks. It sucks to have the buy
that early. Um, especially all the Titans division rivals have their bye week 12 or later.
I would rather have the bye later in the year when you're beat up
and you're sore and you need a break for the stretch run.
Titans getting a bye week five.
I mean, nothing.
It just sets them up to have to play two and a half months straight
of hard competitive football.
So sucks that the buy is right there, but I have the Titans two and two as they go into the week five by ready
for a game against the Indianapolis Colts. So we'll talk about that now. Before we do,
do want to let you guys know that today's episode is brought to you by GameTime. GameTime is the best

We went through the first five weeks of the season.
I have the Tennessee Titans at two and two through the bye.

Big, big opportunity for me, so I'm taking some time here.
Would appreciate your guys' support if you go over
to Locked On NFL and show that some love.
But, oh, man, the voice is trying to give out on me, folks.
But the Titans aren't giving out on their season.
So week six at home against the Colts.
First division game for Brian Callahan.
And the Tennessee Titans are winning that game.
Look, the Titans have a lot more speed at linebacker now.
And that's going to help them with the RPO attack of the Indianapolis Colts. I don't think the Colts edge rush group is all that
great. They lost Samson and they have obviously Quiddy Paye who's had moments, but been injured.
Latu is the new draft pick. I think he's going to be a good player, but that's a rookie. So I think
the Titans could find a way to slow him down.
So without a great pass rush from the Colts
because of some of the injuries that they're dealing with
and their secondary without injuries is bad,
the Titans should be able to put up some points on the Colts.
And I think the speed that the Titans have on defense at linebacker now
with Ernest Jones and Kenneth Murray,
I think they're going to be able to do better against some of the RPO stuff.
Also, Tavondre Sweat will have to have a big game that game.
So I have the Titans going to three and two,
a winning record coming out of,
and they're coming out of the bye.
They should have a great plan for the Colts after a first month of the
season.
Then the Titans play what might be one of their toughest games all year.
They go to Buffalo in week seven.
And I got them losing that game.
I just think Buffalo is a better, more
experienced team. Josh Allen is
at worst the third best
quarterback in the NFL. They
have maybe the best offensive
line that they've had throughout
the Josh Allen era and with the
Titans, what I think will be
struggles in pass rush,
especially on the edge. I mean,
Landry's good, but I don't trust Key.
I don't trust Jalen Harrell to be like an every down impact player
as a seventh-round rookie.
I think he's going to be a good rotational player to help the Titans,
especially on early downs.
But I don't think, you know, you're just lining up Jalen Harrell out there
like go get him, Rook.
So I think the Bills can slow down the Titans' pass rush a little bit by focusing their
energy inside. Obviously, Buffalo is going to be able to put up their own points, and their tight
ends are really good. They got Dalton Kincaid, Dawson Knox, and I think the Titans will struggle
over the middle of the field in pass coverage. That'll be a struggle for them all year. So I
have the Titans losing that game and dropping back down to three and three. Then they stay on the road week eight at the Detroit
lions. I got them losing that one as well. Look, Detroit's offensive line is absolutely beastly.
I think the Titans pass rush could struggle without the blitz. Like they're going to have
to blitz to get consistent pass rush in my opinion. And I just think that the Lions offensive line is
going to be ready for that. Not only that, but the Lions don't really have great wide receivers
other than Amon Ross, St. Brown. They kind of just ham and egg it over there. And that minimizes
the Titans' cornerback advantage. Like if you don't really have great wide receivers and you
don't really throw to your wide receivers,
like a ton other than your slot receiver and your tight end.
Well,
having a bunch of great cornerbacks,
isn't as cool.
You know what I mean?
So I have the Titans loose.
Look,
Buffalo and Detroit are better football teams than the Titans.
The Titans could beat those teams.
I mean,
that's why we love the NFL.
Anything can happen,
but I can't predict that the Titans and back-to-back weeks on the road are going to go in there and win those games.
I just can't.
So I have the Titans at three and four through eight weeks.
All right.
They were three and two.
They lose to Buffalo on the road.
They lose to Detroit on the road, but then they come home for what should be their easiest
game of the year week nine against the new England Patriots.
And of course I have them winning that game.
The Titans are a better football team and a better roster with a better quarterback and a better
coach. Everything about the Titans team this year is better than the Patriots. So I think the Titans
get some picks on Drake May, who's probably playing by that time. Titans win that game,
I think by double digits. I think they would crush the Patriots like 27, 13, something
like that. So four and four. Now for the Titans, we moved to week 10 against the Los Angeles
chargers. It's at San or San Diego. They're always the San Diego chargers to me. I'll never
change it, but they're going all the way to LA flying across the country. Think about those three games in that four weeks span. So in one month,
they go to Buffalo, to Detroit, to Los Angeles. That's a tough stretch right in the middle of
the season, man. So I have the Titans losing to the Chargers. Justin Herbert is going to be healthy
by then based on the injury he has now. Maybe he gets hurt again.
I don't know.
I think they're going to be able to run the ball really well.
I think the Titans are going to try to do
kind of what they did with Mike Vrabel and Shane Bowen
where they're going to try to stop the run
and nickel.
That's why Tavondre Sweat is so important
because he has to take up two blockers
like T.R. Tartt used to do.
And that's how the Titans were able to stop the run,
even though they had five defensive backs on the field.
I think the Titans aren't going to be able to do that as well against San Diego.
I'm going to keep doing it because they're the San Diego Chargers to me.
They're going to have trouble doing that because the Chargers have a good offensive line.
So, again, the travel, the offensive line matchup, Justin Herbert is a better player
than Will Levis. I got to go with the Chargers on that one. So the Titans dropped a four and five.
Then the Titans come back home though, and they play the Minnesota Vikings
and the Titans should be better than the Vikings. Okay.
The Vikings don't have a great secondary. The defense is okay,
but they don't have a great secondary. The pass rush is all right. I wouldn't say it's great.
I mean, the Titans have a better quarterback. The Titans have a better running back.
The Titans have luxurious need to go up against Justin Jefferson.
Now, Minnesota is going to be used to dealing with the Blitz because they go up against their defense all the time,
so that might help them out.
But I think the Titans are going to win this one.
It's going to be close, like 24-17, something like that.
But I think the Titans win this game and move to 5-5 on the year.
Again, they're battling.
They're in the playoff hunt, and that's exactly what you want.
We're going to conclude the season
and get into the rest of these division games now.
and that's exactly what you want.
We're going to conclude the season and get into the rest of these division games now.

Run your game.
Titans fans, I can't do the loud yells right now.
I just squeak out like a maniac.
But anyways, thank you for making Locked on Titans your first listen each and every day.
Go check out Locked on NFL.
Of course, my first episode hosting the Locked on NFL show.
My voice is practically gone.
So that's my luck if you guys want a window into how my life works.
But I would still appreciate it if you guys went over to Locked on NFL
and checked out my first episode.
It's going to be awesome.
Really, really excited about the opportunity.
But with that being said, right now, Tennessee Titans are five and five through 11 weeks.
Okay.
And I think that would be a great success for the Titans, to be honest with you.
I just want them to be a competitive football team this year.
But week 12 is the Titans first division matchup against the Texans.
And it's on the road at Houston.
So they played the Colts at home in week six,
but then their first game against Houston,
their next division game isn't until week 12 again on the road at Houston.
And guys,
I,
I think they'd lose. Houston is a better
team. I like Will Levis. I think Will Levis can be good. I do not think that Will Levis can be
better than CJ Stroud. He's never going to be better than CJ Stroud. The Titans as a team
need to be better around Will Levis than the Texans are around CJ Stroud. But I don't think
individually that Levis will ever be a better player than Stroud.
He can be good enough to win the Titans a Super Bowl with a good team,
and he can be a very good quarterback.
But I think Stroud is just elite, man.
And at home, I think that could be right around the time
where some of the Titans are hitting the rookie wall,
like Tavondre Sweat and J.C. Latham. It's right around that time where you usually get that big break in college football
where the season ends, and then you wait a little bit for the bowl games to happen. So I think there
could be a rookie wall here for some of the Titans' best players who happen to be young.
The Texans have a very good pass rush and stride. So I have the Titans losing to the Texans in week 12,
dropping to five and six.
But then they go on the road and play the Washington Commanders.
And I think the Titans win that game.
I think the Titans are just a better team.
I don't think that the Commanders have a lot of wide receivers
that you would fear.
I mean, Terry McLaurin is a really good player,
but I'll take LeJarrius Sneed on Terry McLaurin.
And then nobody else on their offense worries me at all.
So, like, the Titans should win that game.
They're a better team than the Commanders.
If they lose that one, no bueno.
Okay, so 6-6.
The Titans are 6-6 at this point.
Just chugging along here.
And we get to Week 14, and it's home against Jacksonville.
All right.
The Titans at this point have traveled so much.
Think starting from week seven at Buffalo, at Detroit, home, but then out to California
against the Chargers, home, but then down to Houston.
So much travel in the last six weeks.
And then they go at the Commanders.
Like, so many road games in there.
What is that?
One, two, three, four, five.
Five road games in seven weeks.
The Titans come back home.
They play Jacksonville,
and I think
that they just
kind of lacks out a little bit
you see that in the NBA a lot
a team will go on a big road trip
and their first game back home they get smoked
because they're like back home and they're finally
comfortable but all that travel
kind of lands on them basically
the Jaguars have their bye in week 12.
So I think they're going to be more rested.
They're going to be prepared.
And I think Jacksonville wins that game
in Tennessee.
Titans drop to six and seven.
Then
Titans play the Bengals
at home two weeks in a row.
Finally.
And I think coming off a loss
to Jacksonville at home
and being pissed off about
that and being six and seven, they play that game against the Bengals at home in week 15
and get a huge emotional win. I think the team is going to be playing for Brian Callahan in a crazy
way that game. I think it's going to be a super emotional win. You got former Bengals on the team,
the Bengals and Titans already don't get along.
There's a rivalry there from the games that they played,
the playoff game, and then the couple of games that they played the last few years.
There's definitely a little bit of a rivalry there between the players.
So the players kind of not liking each other and wanting to win.
The Titans blowing out the Bengals last time they played.
The Brian Callahan emotional connection. I think the Titans beat the Bengals last time they played the Brian Callahan emotional connection
I think the Titans beat the Bengals I think the Bengals are going to be a really good team this
year I have them winning their division this year I think the Titans are going to get a huge win
late in the season against a good football team it's going to get them back to seven and seven
that's going to be one of the most exciting outcomes of the entire year.
The problem is for me is after an emotional victory like that in two weeks at home,
the Titans then go on the road against the Indianapolis Colts in Indy. Indy is always a tough place to play for the Titans. And the first time the Titans played the Colts, it'll be the
first time that the Colts have gotten to see the new Titans offense. Well, the second time the
Titans play the Colts, there won't be that newness. It'll be much first time that the Colts have gotten to see the new Titans offense. Well, the second time the Titans play the Colts, there won't be that newness.
It'll be much later in the season.
The Colts will have much more information.
They're at home.
The Colts have a very good offensive line.
So I think the Colts win that game, and the Titans drop to 7-8.
Okay?
But then the Titans go on the road and go to Jacksonville
and get a little bit of payback.
I have the Titans beating Jacksonville in Jacksonville in week 17
to get their get back, to get their revenge.
And I think that this win for the Titans over Jacksonville
cements the Titans having a better record than Jacksonville.
I think Jacksonville would be like 7-9 at that time
after they lose to the Titans in Week 17.
The Titans move to 8-8 on the year,
so drop to 7-8 against the Colts,
move back to 8-8 in Week 17 against the Jags,
and then we have the final game.
Week 18, at home, in the Oiler throwbacks against the Houston Texans.
And I think the Titans will be 8-8 with a playoff spot potentially on the line.
I have the Titans winning that game against the Houston Texans in week 18,
getting their revenge.
So they split their division games three and three,
but I have them getting revenge on Houston from the early season loss in Houston.
I have the Titans going nine and eight with a winning record,
but I will say this.
I don't think that's good enough to make the playoffs.
I think the Titans can go nine-8 and miss the playoffs.
And let me just say this.
This is the last thing I want to say here.
It might be the last thing I physically can say.
If the Titans go 9-8 and almost make the playoffs,
this is an incredible season.
Great season of competitive football. I know that a lot of you
guys this time of year get super jazzed up about the team and
what they can do. Hey, you never know. They could win the Super Bowl. You never know. They could win the
Divin... What I'm looking for this year is I want the Titans to
be improved from last year. I want them to build momentum
to 2025 and 2026 when Will Levis is in
his third and fourth year. And that's when he should really explode and be an incredible player,
which is what they're going to need if they want to be a Super Bowl contender. They'll need Will
Levis to be great. And I think that you look at first year Josh Allen, second year Josh Allen,
this is basically Levis's rookie year again with the new system,
the new players around him.
Dealing with injuries last year, only playing nine games.
He's basically still a rookie.
So I think the Titans will be competitive this year.
I think they'll be 8-9, 9-8.
I'm going with 9-8.
I'm going to be optimistic.
I don't know if they make the playoffs, so even with that, and that's okay.
They don't need to make the playoffs for me to think this is a successful season.
They just need to create positive momentum. The players that are going to be important
need to play well. We need to have hope in Will Levis still at the end of the year,
but let's just move this in the right direction.
That's what I'm looking for.
So my official record prediction is nine and eight.
I do have the Titans missing the playoffs barely in the AFC, but that would be a great season.
Nonetheless, let me know your predictions down below.
That is going to do it for me today, folks.
As always, I am your host, Tyler Rowland, and this was Locked on Titans.
