Locked On Titans - Daily Podcast On The Tennessee Titans - Tennessee Titans SCHEDULE LEAKS Point to Winnable Week 1 Game & Must-Win Matchup in December
Episode Date: May 14, 2026The Tennessee Titans schedule will drop later on tonight, but some potential leaks have already hit the social media. Are these leaks to be trusted? That is for every person to decide, but what's come... out so far makes a lot of sense and looks favorable for the Titans. Including a potential revenge game in Week 1 against the New York Jets. There is also potential of a Week 3 matchup against the New York Giants that both fanbases seem to be very interested in. We have word of two later season matchups as well with a game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 12 and the Las Vegas Raiders in week 16. Both games being on the road. If that is the case, it is a mixed bag for the Titans as there are real pros and cons. The Tennessee Titans schedule drops today and the leaks have already begun.
I'll tell you what we've heard so far on today's edition of Locked on Titans.
You are Locked on Titans, your daily Tennessee Titans podcast, part of the Locked on Podcast network,
your team every day.
Welcome to the Locked on Titans podcast.
I am your host, Tyler Rowland Titans fans on today's show.
We are going to go over all of the latest leaks regarding the Tennessee Titan schedule, dropping later on tonight.
Of course, how much can you believe the leaks?
How real are they?
What's true?
What's false?
We'll cut through it all, but I think I have a pretty good idea of what we can bank on for the Titan schedule.
We got four games that I've heard about actually a fifth right before I started.
Number one on that list, which may be the most exciting of them all, is week one.
at home against the New York Jets.
Obviously, this is spicy for a multitude of different reasons.
The Titans got a home game, week one for once.
Robert Sala revenge game.
But it goes past Robert Sala too,
coaching against his former team.
There are a lot of elements of revenge here.
There are players on the Titans that have played for the Jets before.
Think about Jermaine Johnson,
who just got traded by the Jets.
It wouldn't be very hard to understand how he could make that game
personal. Oh, you traded me. You guys didn't believe in me. I'm going after you.
Obviously, John Franklin Myers is a guy who used to play for the Jets. You could look at him on the
interior defensive line and say, he's a guy who could look at the Jets and say,
you didn't believe in me. Tony Adams in the back end, Michael Carter maybe even at running
back, you know, like there are a lot of different elements of revenge for the Titans on that side.
But not only that, but on the Jets side, think about the Titans players.
they got traded away to the New York Jets like Tavondre Sweat and Jarvis Brownlee Jr.
So all kinds of elements of revenge in week one, home game for the Titans,
a winnable game as well.
I've seen some people saying it, but it is not that you want the Titans to lose.
I'm desperate for a win in week one.
I feel like the Titans haven't won in week one in quite some time.
But if the Titans lose to the Jets in week one,
there is going to be outright panic in the fan base.
I mean, it is going to be outright panic.
So that's kind of a funny element to this as well.
Is this a must-win game in week one for the Titans?
I got to say, there's a lot of good vibes
that could come from a win like this early in the season,
but that makes it risky on the other side, too.
There's a lot of bad vibes that can come out of it.
So very interesting, if that truly is the week one matchup,
and it's been reported by Jordan Schultz,
so that is a reputable insider there.
I think that one's pretty real.
So starting with the Jets,
make sense.
And when I did my schedule predictions and stuff,
I wanted the Browns in week one,
but the Jets were my backup plan.
The Jets were the second option.
So to get one of my top two options,
have a home game in week one,
I like it more than I don't like it.
You know what I mean?
I'm going to go the optimistic side,
not look at it as some,
oh, bad thing, oh no.
It could be panics.
No, the Titans are going to win.
That's a great matchup for the Titans.
We're going to beat up on old man, Gino Smith with the great defensive line.
The defense is good, but it's not so good that the Titans can't find a way to Cam Ward to chop them up.
I like one.
And, you know, I'm assuming that the defense is better this year.
I think the Jets will be a little bit better and more competitive this year,
but it's still the Jets at the end of the day.
So good matchup.
The other matchup early in the season that I've seen confirmed by at least a source that I believe,
is the New York Giants in week three.
So hitting the New York teams in the first three weeks of the season.
And I think both those games should be wins for the Titans,
could be wins for the Titans.
I think both teams would be better than they were last year.
I think New York Giants will be significantly better.
But I still think that those teams are beatable
and those should be considered winnable games.
Now, I'll tell you this, right before I got on,
I did see a Philadelphia person say that they play the Titans week two.
That would be kind of rough.
Playing Philadelphia that early in the season with all the continuity that they have
and how young the Titans are, to have a home game early in the year, that's tough.
But the Eagle, I don't know the Eagles reporter as well.
I don't feel as confident in that reporting.
They could be right.
But I'm just saying I don't know for certain.
but it looks like right now,
it's home against the jets,
home against the Eagles,
away against the Giants to start the season.
It's not perfect,
but it's not terrible.
And I think starting 2 and 1
absolutely a possibility
and 1 and 2 is an absolute must.
If the Titans start 0 and 3,
Jets, Eagles, Giants,
0 and 3 with losing the jets,
the Eagles you kind of expect,
but then losing to the Giants
with the Jackson Dart, John Harbaal,
all the beef back and forth,
going 0 and 3 with the jets and the giants in there,
that is, the sky is falling.
That cannot happen.
That cannot happen.
So I'm going to choose to believe
that there's a two and one start
coming for the Titans with that group.
But we've heard about some late season games as well.
Two road matchups,
one of them a little bit easier than the other.

And let's continue today's bonus edition of the Locked-on Titans podcast.
Again, we talked about the early game possibilities for the Titans here in
week one against the Jets, week two against the Eagles,
and then week three on the road against the Giants.
Titans got to go one and two in that stretch,
if not two in one, but can't go.
Oh, and three.
Now, there are some late season games
that I've heard about from some sources
that I trust as well.
Number, week 12,
Jacksonville.
On the road against Jacksonville, week 12.
Now, I am hoping
that that game is after a buy.
Maybe the Titans have a buy in week 11.
Again, I love a late season buy.
So that's what I'm hoping for.
Maybe it's by week and then you play Jacksonville on the road coming out of it.
I would be cool with that.
And it still leaves open the possibility of week 18 at home against Jacksonville,
which is what I had in my ideal schedule for the Titans.
I want to play Jacksonville last week of the season,
either to knock them out of the playoffs, get the Titans into the playoffs,
just be a spoiler in some sort of way, mess up the whole situation,
and for it to be Jacksonville.
our ugly cousin.
Get out of here, Jacksonville.
If we can't be good, you shouldn't be either.
That's how I feel.
And who ruins Jacksonville season more often than the Titans?
Give me a break.
I want that matchup badly.
Every year, give me Jacksonville Week 18.
I love it.
So that matchup works.
And I'll say this.
Jacksonville is a team with continuity.
They had success last year,
same coaching staff, same coordinators,
a lot of the same players.
you know, good chemistry together.
They're building something.
Titans are starting at the bottom.
So for me,
I would rather play Jacksonville both those games later in the year
when the Titans have gotten an opportunity
to build themselves back up.
You know?
Like with the Jets and the Giants early in the season,
those are new coaching staffs, new systems,
new players getting involved.
It could take time for things to gel.
That feels even.
The Eagles is the opposite.
which is why that's a tough game.
But Jacksonville later in the year,
the Titans will have plenty of time.
They play Jacksonville.
Their first game against Jacksonville is week 12.
They will have plenty of time
to build some chemistry
and know who they are
and understand their system at minimum.
That's going to be more than halfway through the season.
And then the last game that I've heard about
and that I've seen the leaks on Twitter,
Week 16 at the Las Vegas Raiders.
I would have preferred to play Vegas earlier in the year
because I want Kirk Cousins, not Fernando.
I think Fernando Mendoza is a better player than Kirk Couss.
Right now, I think the Raiders are just being petty
wanting to start Kirk Cousins.
And maybe Fernando Mendoza starts from the start of the year
and they can't deny him.
But I think Tom Brady is in the background like, no,
rookie quarterback should not start.
No, I didn't.
so they can't.
So they're going to start Kirk Cousins early in the year
no matter what, like the first three or four weeks.
I would rather have played them then, even on the road.
Like, would have been nice if it could have been jets,
Raiders, giants.
That would have been nice.
And get that cross-country trip.
Going across the country to Vegas,
the furthest away the Titans have to go this season,
late in the year, week 16,
I don't love that.
So there's a lot about the Raiders matchup that I feel is less than ideal
based on when I wanted that matchup and how I thought it could go.
So that travel that late, Mendoza definitely in by then,
having time to build chemistry and be comfortable and all that.
Like, that's one of the worst times they could have faced the Raiders.
It's the Raiders, I get it.
It's not like I'm scared of not winning the game.
It's just less than ideal, what I was hoping.
But either way, I'm going to be back later tonight, a little bit after the schedule drops.
And we're going to go through game by game
and do my win-loss record prediction.
So make sure that you're here for that.
But that's going to do it for today's bonus edition.
As always, I am your host, Tyler Rowland,
and this was Locked on Titans.
