Titans fans, I hope you guys had a fantastic holiday weekend.
I know that I did.
I am exhausted.
I am sunburned, but I had a great time celebrating America's independence.
But it is time for a Twitter Tuesday, and I say that because it's the Tuesday edition of the Monday Mailbag.
So I'm going to dive into all of the questions that you guys sent to me on Twitter, and there are some excellent questions in here.
that you guys sent to me on Twitter,
and there are some excellent questions in here.
Doomsday scenario, what if the Titans underperform?
What do they do next?
Also, the best single-game performance by a Tennessee Titan?
My answer is a very recent performance.
Also, what Titans defender could I see getting double-digit sacks in this upcoming season? So you guys sent in a ton of fantastic questions,
and I'm excited to not only shout you guys out,
but make sure I give you the best answer possible.
So excited to dive into your questions on a Twitter Tuesday
on the Locked on Titans podcast.
Let's get it.
We are going to kick off this Twitter Tuesday and dive into all of your guys' questions.
But before we do, got to remind you guys that right now,
the Locked on Titans podcast is three days a week.
You'll have this podcast today with a Twitter Tuesday,
and then I'm going to steal an idea from one of the questions I received
and talk a little bit more about that throughout the next two episodes of the week.
So I'll let you guys know when that question comes up during today's show.
But next week, we are going to get into some divisional opponent previews as it is the
last week that we go three shows.
So after that, the week after, we'll be kicking it back up, getting ready for Titans training
camp back to five days a week.
Getting ready for Titans training camp back to five days a week.
Make sure that you never miss any of the episodes that will be coming your way as we get into training camp.

Also, follow me on social media on Twitter at Tic Tac Titans where you can send in your
mailbag questions and check me out on Facebook, at LockedOnTitansPod.
But here's one key about our Monday mailbag and our Twitter Tuesday.
We always start out with the five-star reviews.
You can also put your question in as a five-star review on Apple iTunes.
So that's always what I give precedent to.
We are going to dive into those questions. Now,
the first review that I have here is from Stoff4, and Stoff4 said,
What's up, Tyler? Hashtag verified. Yup. Appreciate the informed updates and opinions
about the Titans. I think you give great insight, and I like how you keep it 100 by giving all the
good and the bad that goes on with these Titans. I'm a new listener. I've been listening for a few months now, and I'm sure you already covered this, but I keep hearing
references of you having some sort of beef with the Titans Oilers history. So what exactly is the
beef? Appreciate the Batman animated film updates I'm going to watch tonight. Second non-sports
question, who are your top five hip-hop artists of all time? His jay-z nas biggie eminem jadakiss that's a hard
list to argue with there i'm gonna keep it simple i've talked about this at length but basically
now that there's a new team in houston and now that if you look at the titans ownership bud adams
miss amy they left houston they said we don't want to be in houston anymore we're done being there
they got rid of the oilers moniker and mascot they don't want to be the oil we don't want to be in Houston anymore. We're done being there. They got rid of
the Oilers moniker and mascot. They don't want to be the Oilers anymore. We want to be the Tennessee
Titans. So not only did the Titans ownership say, we don't want anything to do with those people
anymore. We're moving, we're changing the name, but there's a new team in Houston. So I just have
a weird and hard time saying that the city of Houston's team, we deserve
to keep their history. And a lot of people are petty online. Like I want to wear the Oilers
jerseys in Houston against the Texans, blah, blah, blah. I don't know. It's just weird. It's like
having pictures of your ex-girlfriend up in your new house with your new wife. You left your ex
girlfriend because you wanted to be with your wife. Why are you keeping pictures up and wanting to reminisce about your ex? That's just how I see it. A lot of people
disagree. I'm sorry if that makes you mad, but that's just how I feel. And your second question
asks for my top five rappers. This is my personal favorite list, guys. Not who I think the top five
rappers of all time are. My favorite rappers of all time. Oh, well, I guess he says,
who are your top five hip-hop artists of all time?
I don't know how that could go either way.
Well, I'll have Jay-Z, Eminem, Andre 3000,
Biggie and Pac as my top five
of who I think are the best rappers of all time.
But my personal favorite,
Drake, Lil Wayne, Eminem, Young Jeezy,
it's so hard, Kanye West. That's going to be my five. Drake, Lil Wayne, Eminem, Young Jeezy, Kanye West. That's my top five. Next, we got another one
here from FatboyGuar. Two equals two times 2K. That's funny. Amazing pod. Late congrats on the
verification. I'm super happy that
King Henry got his 2000 mark before 17 games do you think if King Henry gets the mark again
will it go into the books with an asterisk OJ Simpson gets no love for doing it in 14 games
and this is one of the greatest records not many people know about tighten upen up. Well, Mr. Guar, I would say that yes, like OJ Simpson,
if Derrick Henry gets 2000 in a 17-game season,
it may matter right now, but 20 years from now,
it's going to be 20 years of 17-game seasons.
Like nobody remembers the OJ thing,
nobody is going to remember that, you know,
Derrick Henry had an asterisk in that first year.
It's just the way that it's going to be.
Next, from Fletch Wolf, another five-star review.
All these five-star reviews.
Thank you guys so much.
He said, really fun, high-energy podcast.
I'd like to think so as well.
Thank you.
Mailback question.
Some of the Titans beat writers, Kaharski in particular,
are raising red flags about the Titans kicker.
Given the importance of PATs and field goals,
what say you on this matter? I'm going to keep it 100 like I always do with you guys about the Titans kicker. Given the importance of PATs and field goals. What say you on this matter?
I'm going to keep it 100 like I always do with you guys about the kicker position.
The Titans will sign Steven Gostkowski before the beginning of the regular season.
There's just no way that you can give your season over to Tucker McCann or Blake Heibel.
You just cannot do that in this win now mode that the Titans are in.
I think it makes sense for the Titans not to bring in Gostkowski right now.
Let these young guys battle it out in camp,
and who knows, maybe you have something special.
But I'm going to be negative, sorry,
and say that they don't have anything special in the two guys they have in the building right now,
and Gostkowski will be back on the team,
because I agree that kicker is an area of concern right now.
And then the last review that we are going to get into right here.
Well, I'm wrong.
There are two more.
This one came from JWH2222.
New listener and thrilled.
I found this podcast very informative and entertaining.
I'm in the process of moving to Nashville from Atlanta.
I am a huge Bama fan.
He's an alumni.
Hey, roll tide.
I'm totally thrilled to be following Julio to
Nashville. He is one of my favorite ex-Saven players, having Henry, another favorite,
and now Julio and a couple other Bama players like Rashawn Evans, for example.
I'm all in on the Titans. Keep up the great podcast and I will be listening every day.
Thank you so much, JWH. And anytime you can have a lot of Alabama players on the team,
I think that's a good thing.
Their success rate speaks for itself.
This is from Dale Big Sam.
He says,
Far and away the best Titans content out there.
Tyler is the bee's knees.
Question for Tyler,
if you could have one current and one former Titans player on the show
or on this team, who would it be?
Or on the show, yeah, as an interview.
Former player, I would like to have Eddie George uh he kind of got me
into the Titans being a Buckeye so I'd love to just break down his entire illustrious career
from college all the way into the pros and current player I would like to have Kevin Byard AJ Brown
is a really really close second but KB's my boy he continues to be my boy and I'm sticking to that
uh the last one the last one here comes from Jason Young 42.
What's up, Jason?
He said, let's get it.
My favorite Titans podcast.
Scratch that.
My favorite podcast overall.
That really means a lot.
Thank you very much, Jason.
I do have a question.
When are you going to do the division roundup?
I thought you usually do it in the spring after draft or free agency.
Well, the network as a whole changed the content schedule up a little bit on me.
But next week, I plan to do my own divisional roundup.
Might have some special guests from the other Locked On podcast,
maybe schedule-wise if that works out.
But either way, next week, we're going to do one divisional opponent on Monday,
one on Wednesday, one on Friday,
before we get back to five days a week with training camp there.
So that is the plan.
You will get your divisional crossover soon.
I promise you that.

We are going to continue this Twitter Tuesday edition of the Locked on Titans podcast by
diving into your guys' questions, and these ones came specifically from Twitter.
Remember, there are two routes to send in your mailbag question.
Number one is by tagging me on Twitter at TicTacTitans or putting that as a five-star review on Apple
iTunes.
But without further ado, let's jump into those.
Number one comes from Amazing Lawn.
He said, who's one player you would love to steal from another team, offense or defense
or even special teams?
I am actually going to turn this question into the next two days of the Locked on Titans
podcast.
I want to go division by division and talk about basically which player I would take
off each team from the AFC and from the NFC, division by division.
So excited to do that the next few days.
But my number one player I would steal off any team in the NFL is Pat Mahomes.
I mean, he's a cheat code. They've been to the Super Bowl two years in a row. I mean,
he's just a supreme talent. There's no way that he can't be the answer. I did think about Aaron
Donald, though. I didn't. Next question from Tony Estes. He says, I know it's still mid-off season,
but who would you pick to be your
playoff teams and their seeds for both conferences this coming season? Also, your stance on Des
Fitzpatrick is fair, but man, you're breaking my heart as a Louisville fan. Your pod's the best.
Keep it up. Thanks, Tony. And now that Julio Jones is in the fold, I'm much higher on Des
Fitzpatrick's potential. I just think the Titans were trying to put him in a role that he wouldn't
be ready for, and that was really the downside. Now, he'll have the ability to work on his game,
develop his game, and work on the deficiencies. It was more about asking such a young player to
fill such a big role for this Titans team that's in win-now mode. As for my playoff teams and their
seeds, I'm not going to do seeding right now. I'll put that all together for my season preview as we get closer and closer.
But just off the top of my head right now, I think it'll be the Chiefs, the Ravens, the Titans, and then the Bills.
Wild card, we will have the Colts, the Patriots, and the Browns. So that's my
answer on that. As for the NFC, I'll go Rams, Buccaneers, Packers, Cowboys. I said I wouldn't pick the Cowboys this year,
but I'm picking the Cowboys.
As for the wild cards, I think we'll see
Seattle get another wild card spot.
We will see
the Panthers get a wild card spot.
No, I'm just kidding.
Just kidding on the Panthers.
That's tough.
NFC.
I'll go with the Falcons actually making a surprise run.
So we got Buccaneers, Packers, Cowboys, Rams, Falcons, Seahawks, and Bears.
The Bears put in Justin Fields.
He plays amazing.
Gets them to a wild card spot.
So those are my teams.
Those are the 14 that I'm going to ride with right now.
We'll do seeding at a later date.
Next, Tyler Chandler.
He said, got a hard one for you.
Name the best single game performance by a Titans player,
regardless of position.
I bet Sam Sloman instantly pops into your brain.
Sam Sloman does pop into my brain,
but I'm going to take an easy way out on this one.
Week 17 in 2020, Derrick Henry, 34 carries, 250 yards, two touchdowns.
Basically carried the Titans to that victory when they needed it the most
and had to win the division to get into the playoffs.
So that's my answer there.
Colin Kloster had a few questions.
Number one, is the current roster built more for the short term,
two to three years,
or do you think Robinson is building a long-term roster
if such a thing exists in the NFL?
No, I think this team is built for right now
with reliance on Derrick Henry and his age
with Ryan Tannehill's current contract being such a bargain.
His age, Julio Jones in his 30s.
The offensive line is getting older.
They're going to be majority in their 30s
outside of the right side of the offensive line
with Nate Davis and Dylan Radins.
With the additions on defense,
Caleb Farley, who knows how long his back's going to hold up.
Kevin Byard's getting closer to 30.
Rashawn Evans, Jayon Brown, both free agents.
Harold Landry's free agency is coming up. I think right now is the time to win. Colin also asks,
any future Hall of Famers on the roster? Julio Jones and Derrick Henry and A.J. Brown. Those are
my three answers. I don't see anybody on the Titans defense being a Hall of Fame caliber player right now. Jeffrey Simmons has the ability to get there. Kevin Byard with a couple more really big years
and a Titans Super Bowl could probably get there. Taylor LeJuan, if the Titans win a Super Bowl,
could maybe get there. But for my money, I'm taking the three guys on offense, AJ Brown,
Julio Jones, and Derrick Henry. Julio is already a Hall of Famer, so that's already set in stone.
We don't got to worry about that.
The last question from Colin here is going to cap off this segment as well.
He said, what happens if things don't pan out this year?
Defense doesn't gel, Henry or Tannehill get hurt, O-line underperforms,
and this team underachieves.
Will we see a blowup again like we did with the defense this year,
or will we stay the course? I think that the Titans would would stay the course but it wouldn't be the worst thing that
could ever happen I think the window for this core is this year and then the year after at most 2022
if the Titans had a down year in 2021 and could end up with one of the top quarterbacks to sit
behind Ryan Tannehill and then get back to their winning ways the year after. I think that could actually be a blessing in disguise for the Titans.
I know a lot of people don't feel this way,
but I'm not as confident in Ryan Tannehill after this contract
as a lot of people seem to be.
I think a lot of the things that he does well as a player
are predicated on his athleticism.
They're predicated on being not young,
but in the prime of his career as he gets older I think his game
won't translate as well but we are going to move forward into the next segment continuing to answer
your guys's mail bag questions before we do that have to remind you guys about a limited time
flavor that is on built bars website one of the best tasting protein bars ever, and that is the Grasshopper
Cookie.
It is a limited time flavor.
I stress that.
It is going to be available only between July the 6th and July the 9th.
It's absolutely delicious.
What does it taste like?
It's Built Bar's version of a classic thin mint cookie.
All of the flavor without all that sugar it's 150 calories 17 grams
of protein and only five grams of sugar it goes along with the already delicious nine flavors
that they have on builtbar.com it's not just the flavor it's not just the taste either they're
healthy too they are low calorie low sugar high protein-sugar, high-protein, high-fiber, and Bilt Bar is the official protein bar of the United States track and field team.

We are going to cap off this Twitter Tuesday by finishing up all of the questions that you guys sent to me on Twitter at Tic Tac Titans.
Before we do, just want to remind you guys about the Locked On Today podcast
hosted by the great Peter Bukowski.
It's all the biggest sports stories from every major sport in under 20 minutes
every single weekday.
So make sure you check out the Locked On Today podcast
on whatever platform you do stream.
Let's dive back into these questions.
A loyal question asker, anender46 said,
will you be doing another fantasy league this year possibly without needing to get a car part?
So any of you guys that are new listeners, last year was the first time that I did a locked on
Titans fantasy football league where I had me against 12 of the listeners.
And what I did was I had everybody, you know, support our sponsors.
The show is free.
I don't ask a lot.
So entrance into the Fantasy Football League was to purchase something from rockauto.com.
Could have been a freaking air freshener for all I care. A wiper blade for all I care.
Just make a purchase.
Use Locked On in the How Did You Hear About Us box.
And that was really successful and I appreciate that.
This year, we will probably do something similar.
I want to find a way to differentiate between people.
And I don't want to be a guy who's just out there saying you, you, you, playing favorites.
I don't want to do that.
So going to make people work for it. but I do plan on doing the same thing. Having people
take advantage of one of our sponsors, send proof of that to me as entrance into the Locked on
Titans Fantasy Football League year two. Now I'm not going to open the floodgates on that yet.
That'll be closer to the season, but definitely something that I'm going to be doing this year again. Next, a question from Dale Big Sam, who again has found a way to double up. I
appreciate that ingenuity as well. He said, do you think it's too early to put AJ in the conversation
with Derek Mason and Kevin Dyson as best receivers in franchise history? No, I don't. If AJ Brown
has one more great year of over a thousand yards and eight to ten touchdowns,
I think it's already over. The reality is the offense was never stellar back in those days. It
was a version of the Titans offense now, but the least productive possible, not least productive,
but the Titans wanted to pound the rock. They didn't want to throw the ball a lot. Like I said,
it's kind of a version of what we see now, just different. Quite frankly, the Titans wanted to pound the rock they didn't want to throw the ball a lot like I said it's kind of a version of what we see now just different quite frankly the Titans have a much more explosive and efficient passing game but the reality is with that in mind the receivers that
the Titans have had are maybe the worst franchise set of wide receivers ever and with that in mind
AJ Brown is definitely right there ready to go next Shane says, with Jonu Smith leaving in free agency,
who will be the extra receiving option in the passing game
aside from Brown, Jones, and Reynolds?
To me, that's an easy answer.
It's Anthony Ferkser.
Anthony Ferkser is going to get a big bump
in the amount of snaps that he sees this year,
the amount of reps that he gets this year,
and eventually the amount of targets that he gets this year.
I think Anthony Ferkser could be incredibly productive productive and I would actually say that Anthony Ferkser has a bigger
year statistically than Josh Reynolds next Ron G Titan says do you see anyone on defense getting
double-digit sacks my answer is yes and I think it'll be Harold Landry with all the attention
that's going to be paid to Danico Autry, Jeff Simmons, and Bud Dupree, it should open up Harold Landry, and there's just no way in the world that the Titans drop Harold
Landry back into coverage 125 plus times again. There's just no way that they logically do that,
so with that in mind, he should get more opportunity to rush the passer. He should get
more one-on-one opportunities as well with the defensive line he'll be rushing with. I'm
going to go with Harold Landry getting 12
and a half sacks in
2021. The final question we have
here is from Kenny Blanco. He said,
Have you watched the Long Halloween or Justice Society
yet? More DC Classic animation.
You're damn right more DC Classic
animation, but here was my hang-up.
The Long Halloween, I could buy
it for like $20
back a
week ago or on July the 6th so today it's available for rent for like $6 I don't buy movies guys I'm
not a huge movie buff I don't re-watch movies a bunch of times I like to watch a movie once if I
really like it I'll watch it a couple times but that's's about it. So for me, I'm not paying $20, $22 to buy a movie. I'm just not. So I'm waiting it out to watch the
long Halloween on rent tomorrow or today, actually. And then I have not seen Justice Society yet. I
clicked over that this weekend, actually, but it's just been a super busy weekend. I do intend to
watch it here soon. Just been super busy lately.
It's pretty crazy.
But I can't complain about staying busy.
But that's going to do it for me today, guys.
That is our Twitter Tuesday.
I'll be back with you tomorrow.
Most likely to begin breaking down which player from each team in every division
would I want to steal from the AFC.
So excited to dive into that.
And on Friday, we will do the NFC.
But that's going to do it for me today, folks.
As always, I am your host, Tyler Rowland.
And this was Locked on Titans. you
