We got a lot to discuss on today's show.
I'm still breaking down the Tennessee Titans 2024 schedule.
We looked at my record prediction.
We looked at the X Factor games, the must wins.
Now I want to talk about the quarterback matchups on the schedule
because I think that Will Levis is better than most of the quarterbacks
on the Titans schedule, and I'm going to go through all of them to prove my point.
Plus, we'll talk about how the Tennessee Titans navigate the toughest stretch of their schedule,
and then finally, I'll talk about the games that I am excited to attend, and I'm excited
to hear what games you guys plan on going to as well.
Before we get into all of it, thank you for making the Locked on Titans podcast your first

I'm going to be answering your guys' mailbag questions over the next few days.
And we'll have a preview of full team OTAs to cap off the week.
So excited for all that.
team OTAs to cap off the week. So excited for all of that.
Will Levis. Seems like the momentum nationally is starting
to shift a little bit on Will Levis. I saw all the stuff, you know,
FanDuel, one of our big sponsors has Will Levis ranked below
these rookie quarterbacks like Bo Nix and Michael Penix. And there are a lot of people out
there who just want to crap on Will Levis
and not give him his due for what he produced
and what he showed last year in the circumstances he was in last year.
But now, like I said, the tide is starting to turn a little bit.
Some of these national voices are starting to say,
hey, I think the Titans can be, you know, an improved team.
Hey, I think the Titans are kind of a sleeper.
Hey, I think Will Levis can have a big leap in year two. Shout out to my guy
Marcus Mosher from Locked On Cowboys. He works for
Pro Football Focus and he put out an article basically saying Will Levis was his
number one breakout second year QB. So
the vibes around Will Levis are starting to turn a little bit.
And I think that while it would be fair to rank him low amongst the quarterbacks,
if you're doing it right now, you could do that.
I think we're going to see a much improved Will Levis this year.
So this is my projection.
Again, I'm projecting how Will Levis will look in year two.
But you start to go through the list.
Chicago week one. I think Will Levis will be better than Caleb
Williams in that game. Jets in week two.
Aaron Rodgers probably better, but Aaron Rodgers at 40.
Will Levis could be better than 40-year-old Aaron Rodgers.
I absolutely think that's the case. So I think Will Levis is better
than Caleb Williams right now. He could be better than Aaron Rodgers. I absolutely think that's the case. So I think Will Levis is better than Caleb Williams right now. He could be better than Aaron Rodgers as well. Jordan Love, that is a tough one. I think
Jordan Love's a good player, but I think what we saw from Jordan Love last year and how people talk
about Jordan Love now, that's how people could be talking about Will Levis this time next year.
So I think that we could look back and be like, hey, Will Levis, Jordan Love, who's actually better there?
I think that's an interesting one. So I'm not going to say that Will Levis is better
than Jordan Love, but I think that Will Levis could be on Jordan Love's level immediately
with the better offensive line coaching, better offensive line
talent, much better wide receiver talent, much better offensive
coaching. I think Will Levis
could be right there. Miami in week four, I think Will Levis is better than Tua right now. Tua is
one of the most overrated players in the entire NFL. The Dolphins are going to pay him $250 million
and it is going to be an obvious real-time mistake, just like the Daniel Jones contract.
It's like, what are you doing for these barely
above average, if average at all quarterbacks? I don't get it. So I think Will Levis is better
than Tua and he already beat Tua in a game. Indianapolis, look, Anthony Richardson could be
great. Sure. But I think Will Levis is better at football right now, right now. Anthony Richardson
is more flashy. He can run. He scores the rushing touchdowns in the red zone.
Blah, blah, blah.
But I think Will Levis is a better passer of the football.
I think Will Levis has good athleticism as well
that he didn't show a lot last year because he was banged up.
So I think Will Levis is better than Anthony Richardson.
Now, Josh Allen in week seven?
No.
I think Josh Allen is the second or third best quarterback in the entire NFL.
Detroit, Jared
Goff just got $270 million
or whatever. $217
million, I think is what it was.
I think Will Levis
would be just as good as Jared Goff.
I mean, does that make me
crazy? Like, it's Jared Goff. He's got
great protection on the offensive line,
plays all his games indoors, has great offensive coaching
with Ben Johnson. I don't think Jared Goff is significantly better than who he was
in LA. He's just in a better situation.
So, like Jordan Love,
I don't know that Will Levis is better than Jared Goff,
but I think this time next year,
you could have Will Levis in the same exact tier
as Jordan Love and Jared Goff.
I don't think that's crazy.
And then you go from there, New England.
I don't care who New England has at quarterback.
Will Levis is better.
Jacoby Brissett, Drake May.
Will Levis is better than them.
The Chargers, yeah, I'm riding with Justin Herbert on that one. I'm not gonna,
not gonna, like with Josh Allen, I'm not gonna fight that battle on you. I think Justin Herbert
is a better player. But after that, Minnesota, Darnold or McCarthy,
I would take Will Levis over both those guys easy. That's not even a question to me. That's
not even like a debatable situation. CJ Stroud, I think Stroud is a better player than Will Levis.
Yes, I do.
So can't really say much to you there.
Washington, I'm taking Will Levis over Jaden Daniels.
That's not difficult to me at all.
Jacksonville, I know that everyone would go with Trevor Lawrence right now,
but I think, again, by this time next year,
I think we can look at Will Levis and be like,
he's better than Trevor Lawrence,
or at least in the same grouping.
So I don't think that's a significant advantage there.
Since I'll give Joe Burrow,
healthy Joe Burrow is my number two quarterback in the NFL.
I think when everyone is healthy,
Joe Burrow is the second best quarterback in the NFL.
Josh Allen, three.
Lamar Jackson, four.
It's probably what I would go with right now.
And then we're back to Indy, Jacksonville.
Again, I think Will Levis can outplay both those quarterbacks,
can be better than both those quarterbacks.
And then you have Houston again.
So, I mean, the only games where it's a slam dunk
that the other quarterback is better than Will Levis,
this projected version of Will Levis,
Josh Allen, Justin Herbert, C.J. Stroud, Joe Burrow.
I mean, Jordan Love, Jared Goff.
Good quarterbacks.
Could be right there.
But the point I'm trying to make here is,
I don't think the Titans are going to be outclassed
in a lot of these games playing against a team
with a significantly better quarterback.
That's only going to happen a couple of times. And if that's the case,
that means that the Titans can win
any of these games. They can be
in any of these games
because they're not completely outclassed
at the quarterback position, which they have been
in a lot of games over the past two years.
So,
I think that bodes well for the Titans.
Again, there's only about four or five quarterbacks
that I think are significantly better
or are confirmed to be better than Will Levis.
I think Levis is going to take a big jump,
and I think he's going to be just as good, if not better,
than a lot of these quarterbacks
that everybody's kind of oogling over right now.
Remember, this stuff changes year to year all the time.
You think a quarterback's this, he ends up being that.
But a lot of stuff goes into it.
So I think Will Levis is going to make a big improvement.
I think the Titans are going to have a quarterback advantage
in quite a few of these games as well.
But with that being said, let's talk about the toughest stretch
that the Tennessee Titans have in their schedule.
And it's that finale with all the division opponents.
So we'll
talk about navigating that now. I want to let you guys know that today's episode is brought to you
by GameTime. GameTime is the best place to buy tickets. I already bought some NFL tickets,

Titans fans, let's continue today's breakdown of the Titans 2024 schedule.
We've gone through so much with the schedule.
Now it's time to turn our attention to the toughest stretch of games,
the tough patch the Titans have to go through.
I've talked about this stretch quite a bit as, you know,
a brutal part for the Titans.
They need to be playing their absolute best football when they go through this stretch,
or it could just completely dismantle their season.
But it's not the only tough stretch in the season as well.
Before I get into it, I do want to thank you guys again
for making the Locked on Titans podcast your first listen each and every day.
Remember, Monday through Friday, Tennessee Titans content all year round,
always for free.
Make sure you get subscribed, stay subscribed.
It's your team every day.
But the stretch in the middle of the season,
out of the bye,
home against Indy,
at Buffalo, at Detroit,
obviously some difficult games.
At Buffalo, at Detroit,
that's a back-to-back stretch that's tough.
But that's only a couple of games.
And the Titans have a home game against Indy
coming out of the bye.
Before that two-game stretch the Titans have a home game against Indy coming out of the bye before that two game stretch they have a home game
against New England after that stretch
so that makes
that makes the stretch
not as difficult you know what I mean it's not
as hard on the Titans
to navigate that with two good bookends
that they should be able to win
the week 12 stretch to the end of the season, though,
that's tough.
That is a tough stretch.
You start with an away game at Houston.
Again, I think the Titans are likely to lose that game.
I put that down as a loss in my record prediction.
On the road,
a better roster, good coaches,
the revenge factor from the rivalry in the jerseys and all that stuff.
I just think it's a tough environment.
It's a tough matchup.
First division game since the week six home game against Indy.
So it's been five, know, five, six weeks
since you played in one of those tough,
knock down, drag them out, division games.
So I think that's a tough way to start that stretch.
And again, ton of division games.
And five division games in this last stretch.
So, you're going to play these teams a lot
in a short period of time.
To start off with that game, it
makes it tough. Alright? I just think it makes
it tough. Now, you do get
the away game against the Commanders
in Week 13 after that. And
I put that down as a must win.
We talked about that on yesterday's show.
My everydayers remember. That was a must win
game. So that's a bit of a reprieve.
Alright? But because of where that game is situated,
the pressure is on
because the Titans cannot afford to lose that game.
So while it may be a winnable game,
again, Jaden Daniels, week 13,
he's going to have his bearings about him.
Cliff Kingsbury is the OC.
He's going to know what they do well, what they don't do well.
He's going to have his answers to certain things.
So it's not like you're playing them early in the year
and they don't really know what they're going to be.
They're going to know who they are by week 13.
And you're going on the road after a tough road game against Houston,
on the road back-to-back weeks
against a team that knows who they are at that point.
Now, I still think the Titans are a much better team
than Washington.
So they should,
they should
win that game.
No doubt.
But,
it makes it tougher.
So it looks like it's
a break for the Titans.
But at that point,
it's still going to be a tough game.
So, again, the most difficult patch,
even the easiest or second easiest game,
I would say the second easiest game the Titans have all year,
is still right in a spot that makes it even tougher.
And then you come home,
and you play Jacksonville for the first time all year.
Who knows where these teams are going to be at then.
All right.
And that's, again, division games are always tougher
than the regular games.
Always tougher.
So, I hope the Titans win that game.
But two tough road games, back-to-back, come back home.
There's an opportunity to kind of let down.
It's not exactly the same, but I would compare it to the NBA.
You see teams go on long road trips.
Obviously, I'm a Lakers fan.
Talked about them a lot.
They have the Grammy trip in February every year
where the Grammys happen and the Lakers have to leave
and go on a long road trip.
The first game back, sometimes
they let down. Sometimes they're not
quite as ready. Finally got back
home, kind of relaxed a little
bit, and you're not
necessarily ready to play. So, I don't
think that's as magnified
with NFL because, you know,
the games aren't multiple times
a week. It's just one per week. So, that
kind of helps deal with that.
But again, two road games back-to-back.
Could be tough games, especially that Houston game.
You get back home, are you ready to play?
That'll be interesting to see here.
And then Week 15 against Cincinnati.
If Cincinnati stays healthy all year,
they could be one of the best teams in the NFL.
Cincinnati is a Super Bowl contender if they're healthy.
So that's going to be a tough game and you add in all the emotions
involved with the holdovers from the Bengals that are now on the Titans.
Brian Callahan, Cole Anderson even.
And the way that the Bengals are going to feel about playing Brian Callahan. There's going to be
a lot riding on that. So it may be a home game, but still a
very difficult game against a team that I think is going to be excellent. I think the Bengals
win their division this year. I picked Baltimore last year. I picked the Bengals this year.
I think the Bengals stay healthy. They're going to be a great team. That's going to be such
a test for the Titans mixed in with all these division games that
are inherently harder than regular games.
And then, I mean, on the road against Indy,
on the road against Jacksonville in back-to-back weeks,
another back-to-back away game situation
where you're playing your division rivals
who you've already played, who you've already seen,
who know you now.
The Titans won't get that benefit of,
oh, we've never seen the Brian Callahan offense before.
We've never seen the Denard Wilson defense before.
They're going to get that benefit in some of these early games.
Not the second one.
And they're both on the road.
So, Houston is the best team in my division,
in the division in my opinion.
You get to play them.
Your first game against them has to be on the road.
So even though it's new Brian Callahan, new Denard Wilson,
you're on the road against the best team in the division.
Then, you get these games in Week 16 and 17
where you're on the road against these division rivals
and they've already seen your new offense and new defense.
So just tough games.
Think about that.
Indy, Jacksonville, Houston to end the season.
Now that gives the Titans the opportunity to make up ground
if they lose ground early in the year.
But man, that's a tough finish.
And then again, after those two back-to-back weeks,
you got Houston, you're at home.
But Houston might be the best team in the division.
So that's a tough stretch. Very difficult. So here's how it looks.
The Titans have to beat Washington on the road in week 13. They got to win that game.
They got to beat Jacksonville at home in week 14. They have to. They got to do it if they want to
make the playoffs. They have to split those two road games,
one against Indy, one against Jacksonville in 16-17.
They got to split one of those.
And then they got to beat Houston at home in Week 18.
If they can beat Washington and beat Jacksonville
and then split those two road games
and then beat Houston,
that is four wins in the final 1, 2, three, four, five, six, seven.
Four wins in the final seven weeks.
And I think they could be in a great spot to still make the playoffs.
But it's going to be a big ass.
That's a tough stretch of games to finish the year.
Hopefully the Titans are playing their best football at that time.
But now I just want to have some fun and talk about the games that I plan to go to.
Because there are some fun games to attend
and I already got tickets to a few of them.
So excited to talk about that with you guys.

We talked about the quarterback matchups
and how I think the Titans with Will Levis are in a great place going forward.
We talked about navigating the tough stretch of the season
at the end for the Titans
and how many games they need to win to survive that patch.
Now I want to talk about the games that I'll be attending this year
because I'm very excited to go to a couple more Titans games this year.
I'm going to try to make that a thing.
I haven't been to a ton of games in my lifetime.
I've been to, I think, like seven Titans games in my life.
So excited to go to more here throughout the next few years.
And now that I'm not writing during the games,
I can actually go to games.
So that'll be very fun.
But with that being said,
do want to thank you guys again
for making the Locked on Titans podcast

It's your team every day, but
the games I'm going
to. Confirmed. Bought
my tickets. I will be at the
home game week three
against the Green Bay Packers. So very
excited to go watch that game. Number
one, obviously the Titans aspect. It's going to be early in the year. Hopefully everyone's healthy. Get to watch the
Titans. I've never seen Will Levis in person because I was writing for Sports Illustrated
last year and I had to write five, six articles during the games. Can't go to the games and do that. So excited to go see the new team, the new squad.
Not only that, but Green Bay is a fun team.
Green Bay is a good team.
You know what I mean?
So that'll be a fun game worth watching
with good players on both sides.
Also, little family element for me.
I'll be taking my dad to that game.
My dad will be 64 years old.
He has been a Green Bay Packers fan since 1966.
1966.
Cool, pretty cool.
A couple years ago for Christmas,
I bought him ownership in the Packers,
which will be passed down to me after.
Obviously, ownership in the Packers isn't like,
you know, most normal places where you buy ownership or buy stock. It's really just a crowdsource money for the Packers since they're a publicly owned team, but it's just cool. It's
a novelty. It's like buying a jersey and getting it signed and hanging it up in your man cave.
You know what I mean? Like, it's just cool. All right. It's just cool. And my dad really liked
it. So that was fun. Also, fun thing. A lot of you guys probably don't know about, but there are
specific people online who like to try to trash me and say, I'm a Packers fan and I shouldn't like
the Titans and all of this Titan stuff I have and all these Titans games I go to and all the hours
and hours on hours on hours that I've spent talking about the Titans,
loving the Titans, researching the Titans, even before I had a podcast.
I've been a fan of the Titans since 1999, but all that's fake.
I'm a Packers fan.
This is for you.
This is more ammo for you.
So my dad's been a Packers fan since 1966.
He wanted me to be a Packers fan.
He took me to Packers games when I was five,
six years old. We always went to Cincinnati to watch the Packers and Bengals. I had, you know,
Packers stuff. Brett Favre is like the reason I love football, watching Brett Favre play.
But when I was eight years old, me and my brother decided we want to be Titans fans.
We like the Titans.
I don't want to be a Packers fan.
That's not the team I want to root for.
I want to root for the Titans.
So it will be cool to go.
I've never been to a Packers game since that moment when I decided to change teams.
We didn't have a lot of money growing up.
Wasn't really an option to go to a lot of sporting events for me.
So it'll be cool.
I don't think my dad's gone to a Packers game in 30 years.
You know what I mean?
So, it'll be sweet to go see that game with my dad,
knowing the history that we've had between those teams
and everything in my family that's involved with that.
It's just going to be such a cool game to go see.
I can't wait.
And hopefully some of you guys are there.
Maybe we can meet up.
Maybe I can meet some of you guys during the game.
That'd be great.
The last few games that I went to,
I definitely ran into people who listened to the show.
And it's pretty cool.
It's pretty cool.
The next game that I'm going to will be the Bengals game
in week 15 in Nashville.
And I won't be going with my family on that one.
I'll be going with my friends.
So I'm from southwestern Ohio.
I wouldn't quite say I'm in Cincinnati, but I'm in southwestern Ohio.
And obviously, there are a ton of Bengals fans where I'm at.
It is the jungle where I'm at. Okay. Especially after Joe
Burrow showed up and they made the Superbowl run. Now everybody in their brother, mother, sister,
lover, cousin, friend is a Bengals fan. Loves Joe Burrow, all that. So I got a ton of friends
in my close. I got a big group of friends like that I've known since high school. My, my big
group of friends, my group chat. I'm sure a lot of you guys recognize that.
But that are Bengals fans.
Huge Bengals fans.
So I am excited to get a big group together.
Go down to Nashville.
Party with my friends.
Watch that Bengals game.
And with all the connections between the Titans and the Bengals now.
Not just the playoff games.
The sort of rivalry.
But with the Brian Callahan stuff and all that.
And then with my friends being Bengals fans,
the best Titans game I ever went to ever was 2017 Bengals Titans.
I went with me and my brother, who are Titans fans,
and then two of my best friends, who are Bengals fans.
And we, I mean, I was young.
I wasn't engaged.
I didn't have a lot of responsibilities.
I wasn't even doing the show at the time.
We partied down at Nashville, went to the game,
and DeMarco Murray did that duck underneath,
stretched the ball out over the goal line to win at the buzzer.
I was so hyped, I, like, fainted in my seat
because I was yelling so loud,
which I'm sure isn't a shock to any of you.
But that was a great game.
So magic happens when the Titans and Bengals play.
And I can't wait to go down there with all my buddies and their wives
and my girl and have a great time in Nashville and watch that game.
And then finally, if the Titans win that game against Cincy
and if the Titans record is good,
then I'm going to drive two hours over to
Indianapolis and check out the Titans Colts game in Indy and be a strong voice for him there and
support him there. Now, if the Titans don't do so well and things aren't going so well, I'll probably
save my money on that one. You know, it's for work so I can do different things to help myself out
financially. But at the end of the day, I want to go see good football.
So if the Titans win that game in Cincy and they're doing well
and they're in the playoff hunt,
I'll probably be charged up
and ready to go over to Indianapolis
to watch that game.
So very excited for those three matchups.
Definitely going to the first two.
Hopefully going to the third one
at the Titans.
Don't let me down.
You know what I mean?
But let me know down below
what games you want to go to.
Even if you can't go to the games, let me know which
games you would want to go to
if you could. But with that being said,
that is going to do it for me, folks. I will be
back tomorrow answering your mailbag
questions. Finally. I know that it took a little
bit, but I'll get on it.
I promise. But with that being said,
as always, I am your host, Tyler
Rowland, and this was
Locked on Titans.
