Titans fans, what an incredible, miraculous comeback win
for the Tennessee Titans, 28-27 over the Miami Dolphins.
Will Levis is him.
What an incredible performance, 300 yards,
and just absolute magic in the last three minutes of the game for Will Levis.
Not only that, but we got great performances from some of the Titans' most important players
like Harold Landry, who is 100% back, baby.
What an incredible performance from Harold Landry and some of the guys on defense.
Also, we're going to talk tighten up, tighten down, go over the individual performances,
good and bad, like Harold Landry, some other things to look at as well.
But overall, what an incredible performance by Will Levis.
Let me get a tighten up in the chat, throw a thumbs up on the video.
Thank you guys for making the Locked on Titans podcast your first listen each and every day. Remember, Monday through Friday, Tennessee Titans
content all year round, always for free. Make sure you get

here on the Locked On Podcast Network. Shout out to my everydayers
out there tuning in Monday through Friday. Couldn't do it without you guys. Salute.
But man, what an incredible comeback from
the Titans. I mean, they absolutely imploded
near the end of the game. In the middle of the fourth quarter, they implode.
Eric Gerrard drops a fumble, muffs a punt. Then
Will Levis with a bad pitch, by the way, to Derrick Henry
with the fumble. Set up Two easy Dolphins touchdowns.
Not only that, but the other Dolphins touchdown
was on a pick six at the two-yard line
that Levis basically, I mean, it's a miscommunication
on a screenplay to Tajay Spears,
but the Titans tried to hand this game
to the Dolphins with their mistakes.
This is a young team.
This is a bad team, and they make a ton of mistakes,
and they tried to hand the game over to the Dolphins.
But Will Levis said no.
Will Levis said nah.
It ain't happening on my watch.
Okay, I know that the Dolphins were incredibly injured.
I know that the Dolphins dealt with injuries.
But everybody's dealing with injuries.
The Titans were without Jeffrey Simmons.
The Titans have injuries as well.
Titans have had the most injuries in nearly NFL history the last two seasons.
Not going to feel bad for a team for having some injuries and being banged up.
The Dolphins were on the road, at home, in prime time, with a better team.
They were favored by two touchdowns near kickoff.
The Titans had no business smacking them around the way that they did,
and the Dolphins let it happen.
And the Dolphins didn't really do much to help themselves.
The Titans let the Dolphins be back in the game.
So with all of those mistakes,
it did not matter because of William Donovan Levis.
All right.
At this point, if you can't see what's happening here,
I don't know what to tell you. There are
haters out there that are just going to hate because that's what they're committed to at this
point. But despite the mistakes, yeah, the pick six. Yeah. I mean, when was the last time that
we had a quarterback do something like that? I mean, Tana Hills had some really good game winning
drives. He did. But those were years ago.
I mean, maybe I'm mistaken here,
but to see Will Levis go 23 for 38, 327 yards,
have the touchdown pass at the end, and, I mean, he set Derrick Henry up for both of his touchdown runs.
Derrick Henry had a terrible game, had a terrible game,
and got two touchdown runs because Will Levis set him up for touchdowns.
I mean, for Levis to...
And here's the thing.
The mistakes are the mistakes.
The mistakes are the mistakes.
No doubt the mistakes are the mistakes
and you can't avoid those.
He's got to clean those up.
But he's a rookie.
He should be calibrating and making mistakes.
Especially with this offensive line
and this wide receiver group and these pass catchers and this offense and the circumstances. He should be
making mistakes. The flashes are what matter. There's a saying in scouting. It's don't tell
me what a player can't do. Tell me what a player can do and what Will Levis can do, what we've seen
him do, the throws that we've seen him make. Will Levis is tied for first in the NFL
in air yard completions of 50 yards or more.
He has played half the games.
He has elite arm talent, elite release quickness,
and elite football character.
I said it on Twitter.
He's got to back down some of that
I'm running you over truck stick stuff.
Look, it gets the guys going.
It gets us all jazzed up.
It's awesome to see the grit, the passion, the want to, the physicality.
I get it.
But Levis got evaluated for a shorter.
He's got to tamp that down.
But the fact that we see him go out there with that intensity and that drive and that
passion and go out there and make those plays and then back it up with legit arm talent, this is the quarterback of the future.
I am more excited about this quarterback situation right now
than I have been at any time since Vince Young.
And I've got to admit, I have a bias towards Vince Young.
So that's probably on me.
But if we're realistic here, what we're seeing from Will
Levis and this kind of talent with these circumstances, I mean, he just pulled off
the biggest upset in the NFL this year. Let me read you this stat from the broadcast on ESPN.
All right. Let me make sure I have this right. All right. The Tennessee Titans are the first team to win a game
down 14 with under three minutes to go since
2016 the other teams that were down by 14 or more with three minutes to go were oh and
767 oh and 0-767.
0-767.
Now they're 1-767.
The special teams tried to ruin the game.
The offense made their own mistakes.
But at the end of the day,
when it was time,
William Levis, William Donovan Levis,
the Don, Billy Jeans, got it done.
Again, 300 yards passing, just absolute clutch throw after clutch throw
after clutch throw at the end of the game.
Not one, no, not one, but two.
Two-minute drills to score touchdowns and come back and win that game.
And the two-point conversion getting home.
I mean, if you don't believe in Will Levis at this point,
I don't know what to tell you.
Because Will Levis is him.
And with $100 million in cap space and with eight draft picks,
the Tennessee Titans will build a winning team
around Will Levis during his rookie contract.
There is nothing,
there is nothing more important
to a Tennessee Titans fan right now than that.
Nothing more important than the fact that
we have a quarterback, ladies and gentlemen.
The Titans tried to implode in the fourth quarter and Will Levis said,
no, not happening.
I don't know what else you could want.
Give me a Titan up in the chat.
Throw a thumbs up on the video.
Incredible win. Comeback thumbs up on the video. Incredible win.
Comeback win.
The Miami miracle.
And this makes up for, in my mind,
the massacre in Miami in 2018.
What an incredible get back in prime time
as two touchdown underdogs coming back down
one in 767.
That one is Will Levis, but he had help. He had help because there were other
great performances from the Titans. We're going to dive into tighten up, tighten down, get your
tighten ups and your tighten downs into the chat, baby. What a win for the Titans. Tighten ups. I
mean, I'm so hyped for this one. Watching Will Levis play out there.
I don't know how you can't be just incredibly excited for the future
after watching that game.
But with that being said,
before we get into tighten-up, tighten-down.

Guaranteed. Titans fans, a miraculous comeback win
for the Tennessee Titans against the Miami Dolphins.
Titans win 28-27.
Will Levis is him, folks.
Embrace it. Embrace it. We have found
our quarterback to build around.
He's on his rookie contract.
He's a second rounder.
It is time. 100 mil
in cap space. 85
mil now after the salary cap stuff, but
100 mil sounds a lot better. Draft picks.
We are cooking, folks.
We are cooking.
On prime time man
I watched the ESPN
pregame show
and I kid you not and I was not
the only person to notice
for two straight hours
not a single word
about the Tennessee Titans not
Derrick Henry not Will Levis
not Mike Rabel nothing
and then for the Titans to go out there and,
sorry I had to break up your Dolphins party,
but hello, the Tennessee Titans and William Levis are knocking at the door.
So maybe next time, talk about them for five minutes in general
because your audience may want to know about the team that's going to win the game tonight.
Maybe.
That's for the Titan Down section.
We'll get into some Titan Ups right now.
Before I do, thank you guys for making the Locked on Titans podcast
your first listen each and every day,
Monday through Friday, Tennessee Titans content,
all year round, all apps, always for free.

It's your team every day.
Getting into the Titan Ups here, and I want to give credit to Adam Hennessy in the
comment section. I want to give my first tighten-up
to Frank Wycheck. Tighten-ups in the chat for Frank Wycheck.
RIP. An absolute legend to the franchise.
Tragic death. Hated to hear it happen on Sunday.
The news broke on Sunday.
Obviously, shout out to Frank Wycheck, an absolute Titans legend.
Rest in peace. Tighten up.
Of course, there.
But with that being said, no good transition.
But we got to get back into the game here.
And Will Levis, obviously, gets my first tighten up.
Again, 23 for 38.
327 yards.
Had the touchdown.
Did have the pick.
Did have the fumble.
He made his rookie mistakes, absolutely.
But to bounce back at the end there, lead those drives.
I mean, we got a 75-yard drive, I believe, there at the end of the game for a touchdown.
Yeah, 75, 64-yard drive at the end.
Will Levis was nails, man.
Will Levis was nails.
And again, despite the mistakes,
he showed up at the end.
He made plays all over the field.
In this comeback win, with these odds against him,
and this team, I mean, come on, man.
What would Will Levis do on the 2019 Titans?
I mean, shoot, man. Shout out to Teron Davenport from ESPN, but
Will Levis is Ryan Tannehill on Super Soldier Serum.
That's, you know, Ryan Tannehill got turned into Captain America
and it came out Will Levis. That's what we're seeing right here. It's absolutely insane.
Also, Tajay Spears.
Guys, when I talked about this game,
and look, you could come in here,
and you could dunk on me and say,
you predicted the Titans would lose.
You predict, everybody predicted the Titans would lose.
Everybody did.
So let's not act like I'm alone here.
And I predicted the Titans to win before,
and they've lost.
So where are you guys at then?
But what I said going into this game
was I want to see certain players
that are important to the future.
I want to see certain players
who are important to the future play well.
Not only did we get that,
they played great.
Will Levis, the most important guy to the future,
tightened up, played great.
But Tajay Spears, Derrick Henry was bad tonight.
Let's just call it what it is.
He got the two touchdown runs that were completely set up by the passing game,
but it was not a good Derrick Henry night,
although he did have the back shoulder catch.
We'll get into it anyways.
But Tajay Spears also didn't have a great night technically on the ground.
He did average four yards per carry, seven carries, 29 yards.
But in the passing game, six catches for 89 yards,
catching that pass over the shoulder in traffic,
even though he fumbled it out of bounds.
But Tajay Spears looked like he had a three-down running back skill set,
but there were some people who were worried about his route running
out of the backfield, about his ability to catch the ball down the field in those situations.
Tajay Spears, six catches, 89 yards. Add that to seven carries for
29 yards. I mean, if Will Levis and Tajay Spears
are the future of this backfield, then tighten up, baby.
Tighten up. Let's go. Yeah.
100th shot by Young Dolph
blasting in the locker room.
Man, they should give us another.
Remember when the Titans made the social media video
with the box with Darren Bates?
That is my favorite Titans video of all time.
Give me one of those with Young Dolph.
I'm in for that.
Continuing the tighten ups.
DeAndre Hopkins, the curse breaker, the breaker of chains. DeAndre Hopkins, seven catches, 124 yards, one touchdown. The curse is broken, folks. Andre Johnson, Randy Moss, Julio Jones, the curse is broken. It doesn't matter what happens the rest of the season. We've seen it.
DeAndre Hopkins came in here and broke our chains.
Shout out to D-Hop.
I mean, he has just delivered all year long.
All year long.
Incredible performance from DeAndre Hopkins.
And it could have been even more. There were some times where they were just not on the same page.
We're still dealing with rookie mistakes, and Hopkins is out here balling. They have Jalen Ramsey. They have Z even more. There were some times where they were just not on the same page. We're still dealing with rookie mistakes,
and Hopkins is out here balling.
They have Jalen Ramsey.
They have Zavian Howard.
DeAndre Hopkins does not care.
Seven catches, 124 yards, a tutty.
Hopkins was nasty.
He has broken the curse, Titans fans.
He has broken the curse.
Chica Conquo.
Chica Conquo, five catches, 46 yards.
Doing his job. Making plays.
I mean, you
gotta give another tighten up to Nick Westbrook
Akina, and I felt conflicted on that. He caught
the two-point conversion, two catches, 28
yards, but he dropped the touchdown pass.
Also had the penalty, the false
start as well. Look,
I can't
deny his credit, but man, I would sure like NWI to be like a T. Higg I get his credit, but
man, I would sure like NWI to be like
a T. Higgins, Mike Evans, Michael
Pittman, Brandon Ayuk.
You know, let's not kid ourselves here.
So, he gets his credit.
There, he gets his credit. But,
continuing on to the defense,
Danico Autry,
Harold Landry, Arden
Key,
Amani Hooker, Roger McCreary.
I mean, Roger McCreary was awesome in this game.
Physical, battling through injury, knocking away passes.
Amani Hooker was all over the place, getting shout-outs.
I told you guys Amani Hooker and Roger McCreary are keepers.
Build the rest of the secondary with those guys in their spots.
McCreary in the slot.
Imani Hooker at safety.
Great game from those two shutting down this passing attack. I mean, Tua had 240 yards, but he was sacked five times.
Tyreek Hill was in and out of the game.
Only had 60 yards.
Jalen Waddell, 79.
I mean, the Titans did a good job against maybe the most explosive offense of the game. Only had 60 yards. Jalen Waddell, 79. I mean, the Titans did a good job
against maybe the most explosive offense in the NFL.
So you give the credit where it's due in the secondary
and mostly with the pass rush
because, ladies and gentlemen, Harold Landry is back.
Harold Landry is back.
Five tackles.
Three sacks, according to ESPN.
Three sacks.
Five quarterback hits
and he was going against Austin Jackson.
Austin Jackson just got a contract extension.
Oh, and we got Roger Holland says in the chat,
where was this at all season?
He just came back from an ACL.
Usually it takes guys a full calendar year
and a full season to get back to normal.
Harold Landry is getting back to normal
in the middle of the season right now. And for the last three or four weeks, he has been the
Titans' best pass rusher. Harold Landry is back, baby. Let's go. Let's go. Always been a huge
Harold Landry fan. Danico Autry blocking that field goal. Boy, that was huge.
Think about this game without that.
That was huge.
Big tighten up for Danico Autry.
Another, again, another tighten up for Roger McCreary.
Arden Key as well gets a big tighten up.
The pass rush came to play without Jeffrey Simmons.
They stepped up and they came to play.
So you got to give credit where credit is due.
Finally, Ty Zettner.
Ty Zettner comes in for Ryan Stonehouse.
Ty Zettner was solid.
Ty Zettner didn't hurt this team tonight.
So I got to give a tighten up to Ty Zettner.
All right?
He doesn't have the leg that Ryan Stonehouse does.
But hey, he didn't hurt us tonight.
So that's a major tighten up for a punter that was signed off the street this week.
A big tighten up for Nick Folk again.
I mean, Nick Folk just continues to be so consistent.
So I also want to say this.
I've been critical, but a big tighten up for Mike Vrabel.
These are just the games that Mike Vrabel wins.
Mike Vrabel is a good coach.
I have been steadfast.
I've questioned whether Mike Vrabel is the right coach
for the Tennessee Titans and their youth and where they're at.
But you can't deny that Mike Vrabel is a good coach.
And some of you guys try to deny that.
And I just think it's crazy.
He's a good coach. It doesn't always mean he's the right coach, but he is a good coach. And some of you guys try to deny that. And I just think it's crazy. He's a good coach. It doesn't always mean he's the right coach, but he is a good coach.
And wins like this, you got to give Mike Vrabel his credit, man. It's just the way that he
does it. But we're going to get into some tightened downs. Get your tightened downs
in the chat as well here in just a second. Before we do, though, I do want to let you
guys know that today's episode is brought to you

Fandle, official partner of the NFL. Titans fans, let's cap off today's victory recap edition
of the Locked on Titans podcast.
We have talked about Will Levis' performance.
We have talked about the Titan Ups.
Now I want to do get into, now I do want to get into some Titan Downs.
Before I do, thank you guys for making the Locked on Titans podcast
your first listen each and every day.
Remember, Monday through Friday, Tennessee Titans content all year round,
always for free.
Make sure you get subscribed, stay subscribed.
It's your team every day here on the Locked on Titans podcast.
Get your Titan ups, your Titan downs in the comments down below.
Throw a thumbs up on the video right now as well.
The show's always free.
All I ask for in return is the press of a button.
But got to start with still the offensive line gets a tighten down.
I know that they only gave up one sack, but the penalties, the pre-stamp penalties,
the inability to run the ball with consistency, it still makes it very tough.
Okay.
Yeah, tighten down for Traylon Burks.
Seeing a lot of that.
Do want to point out Dylan Radins.
Most specifically, just continues to false start and have issues.
It's crazy.
But yeah, tighten down to Dylan Radins.
Tighten down to Traylon Burks.
I said this.
My everydayers.
My everydayers.
Shout out to you guys listening Monday through Friday.
If you're not an everydayer, be one.
All right?
But I talked about how you cannot move forward
considering Traylon Burks when you build this roster.
Like, in the offseason, the Titans can't say to themselves,
well, in free agency, we need this, this, and that
because we have DeAndre Hopkins, Traylon Burks,
and do not include Traylon Burks in any discussions about the roster.
If you keep him and he plays well, it's a miracle.
If not, I think the Titans should try to trade him
for any day three pick that they can get
and just cut their losses
and accept the fact it was the worst trade
in franchise history
and it blew up in their faces
and it's not their fault,
the people who are in charge right now,
and they need to move on.
But, anyways,
moving right along.
Really what I wanted to talk
about here, because I don't have a ton of Titan downs,
Dylan Radins,
Traylon Burks,
Eric Gerrard dropping the punt,
muffing the punt. I've
said it all season, after
all of these games, you tune into my
recaps, you'll know, I continue to say
the Titans need a new punt returner.
It's not Eric Garror, okay?
It's not, all right?
It's simply not.
But like I said, I don't want to spend too much time
harping on things after that incredible win.
I want to spend time talking about that incredible win
and how excited I am about Will Levis, man.
I mean, what an incredible performance at the end. And again, you can point out the mistakes that Will Levis, man. I mean, what an incredible performance at the end.
And again, you can point out the mistakes
that Will Levis made. You
can point those out. Absolutely
you could. He made
you can't throw that pass right to the defense
attack. I don't care if it's a blown up screen
or not. That was a terrible
pitch to Derrick Henry. It was hot.
It was high. It was inside.
It was a terrible pitch. He made his. It was hot. It was high. It was inside. It was a terrible pitch.
He made his fair share of mistakes.
He absolutely, he had a terrible
pass to Chigaconquo's feet
one time that he had a ton of time.
There was bad in there. There was.
But man, the good
that Will Levis has shown totally
outshines. I said it
at the beginning of the show. I'm going to repeat
it right now.
Since 2016, NFL
teams that were down by 14 points or more in the last three
minutes of the game were 0-767.
Now it's 1.
Now it's 1. Again, Levis, over 300 yards passing.
Multiple touchdown drives that he's led.
The Titans scored 28 points.
They did it against the 9-3 Miami Dolphins in prime time.
As two touchdown underdogs.
With a much worse team.
Just a great job by Will Levis.
A great job.
And you know what?
I gave Mike Vrabel a tighten up.
I certainly did because these are games that Mike Vrabel wins.
But at the end of the day,
Mike Vrabel's team had a ton of pre-snap penalties.
Mike Vrabel's team lost the turnover battle.
Mike Vrabel's team muffed a punt.
Mike Vrabel's team had multiple turnovers
and gave a bunch of points to the Dolphins. The Titans didn't look like a well-coached
football team. They just gutted it out at the end because Will Levis led two amazing
touchdown drives, and the pass rushers got it done. So
I give Mike Vrabel his credit in there, but there was a lot of bad football
team stuff there. But listen, what is most important right now?
And look, what I'm going to do is I'm
going to go ahead and just take some of the heat here. I've been all about the draft pick. I've
been perfectly fine with the Titans losing games. I'm not even going to be mad about it and I'm not
going to lie about it either. I definitely expected them to lose tonight. And with all the losing that the other teams around them did,
I thought, hey, this could be a perfect weekend for the Titans.
Will Levis plays great.
The Titans lose.
All the other teams close to the Titans lost,
which makes them up in the top five.
But you know what?
You know what's most important?
You know what's really most important?
That the Titans have a quarterback.
That the Titans have a quarterback. That the Titans have a quarterback.
They pick 6th, they pick 9th, they pick 11th.
The Titans have a quarterback.
They have a quarterback who's going to be on a rookie contract
for the next three seasons,
who they can build a real team around,
and they can afford to pay real money for talent
and take real risks for talent
because Will Levis is costing them nothing.
I mean,
look at what the Eagles did around Jalen Hurts
because Jalen Hurts was a second round quarterback
who came in and was able to be a top 10 player.
And Ace keeps asking me about Jalen Duncan.
I feel the same about Jalen Duncan as I did before this game.
He's not the answer at offensive tackle next year.
Maybe two years from now, but not next year.
And the Titans need to replace both tackle spots
with guys who are not on the roster right now.
But, man, I just can't believe it.
I just can't believe Will Levis just did that.
It was absolutely incredible for this young team
with not enough talent on the roster
to make all the mistakes that they made
and that dude still led them down the field to win.
And I mentioned this in the first segment,
but I will say it again.
Dan Orlovsky said right after the game,
Will Levis was the best player on the field tonight
against the 9-3 Miami Dolphins
with Tyreek Hill and Tua and Jalen Waddell
and Jalen Ramsey and Zavian Howard and Bradley Chubb,
Will Levis was the best player on the field.
Look, I want a new offensive tackle as much as the next man,
but if you can't get excited about that,
the most important thing about this season,
again, Will Levis played well.
Tajay Spears played well.
DeAndre Hopkins played well.
Chigga Konko played well.
Imani Hooker played well.
Roger McCreary played well.
Harold Landry was unstoppable.
Danico Autry, Arden Key,
the players that matter and could be back next year
absolutely played well.
Man, what a night.
What a night.
The Miami miracle.
The Miami miracle.
Awesome, folks.
With that being said, though,
it is...
I'm one block away here
from that show.
I just hope you can
be happy about Will Levis.
That's going to do it for me today, though, folks.
As always, I'm Tyler Rowland, and this
was Locked on Titans.
