Starting point is 00:00:00 I'm Julian Menonstone and during March the talk is usually about brackets but we're talking draft our mock draft 2.0 that's coming up next and I'm Kayla Anderson look I went with the edge position at the number four pick last time maybe I did some thinking but maybe I'll stick with the pick you'll have to see coming up and I'm Brad Hopkins with 19 free agents that the Titans have already signed what the hell they need to draft for tighten up it's the Titans squad everything Tennessee Titans every week. Covering all the big hits and game-changing plays from the heart of Music City, the way only the locked-on podcast network can.
Starting point is 00:00:41 Squad up. The Titan Squad Show starts now. And welcome to the Titan Squad Show. I'm your host, Julian Minnesone, joined by Kayla Anderson, Brad Hopkins. We're in the house today. Today's episode is brought to you by Fanduel. During the tournament, Fan Duel is offering $300 back in bonus bets every day for 10 days. head to fandal.com to get started.
Starting point is 00:01:04 But today, as I mentioned at the top, it's not about the brackets for us today. It is about the draft board. And we are doing our squad mock draft 2.0. We did want a while back, and that was prior to free agency. And so obviously, free agency has a huge impact on the draft and what the Titans need and what needs are still left on the board.
Starting point is 00:01:22 So we are going to go one by one. We did it with PFSN again. That's a really cool draft mock draft simulator. later. We went round by round for the Tennessee Titans, the post kind of free agency draft, if you will. So I'm going to start with Bhop on this one. Behop. I know you did a couple of mock drafts, but here it is. And for our viewers that are, you know, viewing audience for the video. It's on YouTube.com to see Brad's picks. He's going to go through them, though, for our audio listeners here on the podcast. So Brad, take it away. Yeah. So of course, at number four,
Starting point is 00:01:57 it would be almost impossible for me to change of the trajectory I had of starting a new era of the backfield, which will feature Jeremiah Love. So I have him going at number four because I think that he can be an impactful player immediately. I'm totally curious to see what Brian Dayball is going to do to kind of put Cam Ward in a position of winning. But more specifically, what that would look like with a running back that has so much capability like Jeremiah Love. Not only is he an asset coming out of the backfield, but he's a guy that in the slot position potentially can give you 50, 60 catches on the season and be effective with that.
Starting point is 00:02:39 So not only is he dangerous with the ball in his hands, but there's so many other intangibles that he brings to the table that it almost be impossible to pass on a guy like this. And definitely, I think most people view him as a top five pick when it comes to overall, being the best running back in the draft, he and his line is a running back mate from Notre Dame there being the second best running back. I think that Jeremiah Love would be a tremendous addition
Starting point is 00:03:03 for this offense and get them starting in the right direction of taking some pressure off of a quarterback going into a second season, learning a new system, and all the things that come along with that. So I think Jeremiah Love will be tremendous. Do you want me to keep going? Are you going to let you introduce the second pick? Keep going, Bhop.
Starting point is 00:03:21 You're on a roll. Okay. So Denzel Boston. I've had Chris, oh gosh, I can't remember the receiver. Yes, Chris Bell. I had him in a couple of mock drafts. It did make sense.
Starting point is 00:03:40 But here's a guy that, you know, 6-4, 209 pounds, broke out in 2024, of course, 834 yards receiving. It wasn't a bad season at all. But he's definitely one of those guys, I think, can add depth to a receiving core that features a couple of veterans like Calvin Ridley and, of course, Wondell Robinson, who come over through free agency. I love the fact that Calvin Ridley feels so much about this team that he's willing to forego over $8 million to stick around. I think it would be who with him to do just that because of the changes that are about to take place and how they can actually feature him in this office, not featuring meaning he's going to be a one, but feature him meaning that he's going to bring some diversity. and obviously when he's healthy, he's a difference maker.
Starting point is 00:04:24 The cat caught over 1,000 yards receiving every time he's played over 15 games in the season. And I kind of would expect him to kind of return to that form once he gets on the field and once the season starts. So I like that pick with Denzel. Moving on to Caleb Aiden or excuse me, yeah, Caleb, here's a tackle. I mean, Caleb Tiernan, Tiernan, I think I said how he announced his name. Yeah. So here's a guy that, you know, to me, you know, he can play both sides of the football, of the tackle spots. And I think that they're probably going to need some depth.
Starting point is 00:04:59 You know, J.C. Latham, obviously, is the right tackle there. Dan Moore being left tackle. They brought in Austin Deculas. And I'm not really sure that he's going to be the complete answer to back up Dan Moore. But I think bringing in somebody with that 66 pick, a third rounder, basically, in essence, you know, could be interesting. And if Dan's able to keep his job by being solid at that spot, then great. You know, we don't have to worry about them having missed a free agency opportunity at left tackle. They can bring to somebody else to keep a Northwestern.
Starting point is 00:05:31 You can do some things that I really feel can be difference making. Moving on to Aidan Fisher, the linebacker from Indiana. Well, first off, he's got a national championship. He's part of a defense that, you know, kind of held things together. He was the third team, All-Sun, performed before he got to Indiana from James Madison. We know who's from James Madison, right? Clint Kubiak is coach. Or Clint, what's his name?
Starting point is 00:05:54 Julian, what's the Indiana coach's name again? Oh, Kurtz-Igetti, yes. Kurtz-Nietti, that's who I'm talking about. So I think that he was an impact player. I was on a national championship team, you know, 6-1, 233 pounds. Maybe not the most physically imposing, but definitely an elite functional athlete. I like him there. And then moving on to Jordan,
Starting point is 00:06:17 Hudson, a wide receiver that can add some death from SMU. I think that he's going to be a complete sleeper. He's a former four-star recruit, first season at TCU, transfer to SMU in 2023, and really got off to a great start with seven touchdowns, 30 catches. He was a primary target, of course, in 2025, 61 catches and 766 yards along with six touchdowns. That's not bad, especially for a guy with the 142nd pick. And two picks later, Dailen Everett, the cornerback from Georgia.
Starting point is 00:06:50 That's maker. Yeah, yeah. You say, yeah, for a reason. Because this guy can play. And we need somebody, obviously, that can not only with these picks adds depth, but somebody that can just, you know, really kind of be a plug and play type player if need be and get in there and make a difference. Now, the way I started approaching the draft guys as we got later in the rounds was looking at the best available and then looking at where that best available ranked amongst that position. And there are a number of players, like our next player, Thaddeus Dixon, who had took the quarterback who fell to 184 to me.
Starting point is 00:07:22 When you're looking at projected guys of like, you know, the third or fourth round and players like him are available at that point, you got to, you know, in my opinion, take a flyer on them. And that's also why at 194, I took Drew Aller. Drew Aller, we know that, you know, if it weren't for injuries, Penn State would have finished a lot better than they actually did. And I took the quarterback only because of what the potential trade situation might look like with a Will Levis. If they find some value in him and he finds himself on another roster, they're going to need either a camp body or somebody that can be that emergency quarterback behind Mitchell Chubisky and, of course, the starter Cam Ward. And then I rounded out my draft at number 225 with DJ Campbell,
Starting point is 00:08:00 an interior offensive lineman, even though they brought in a couple of guys to start in Cordovault and Austin and Austin Slatman. Drew Moss and Slater and Jackson Slater might be some guys that see some time on the field, but it wouldn't be a bad deal to go ahead and get a guy that could also add depth in that interior position of offensive lines. So give me DJ Campbell from Texas at that spot. That's my draft. That's, it's interesting, Bhop.
Starting point is 00:08:23 Kayla, do you have any thoughts on B.Hop's 2.0 draft? Yeah, well, I'll start off with, and you'll see it in my draft, and I had it in my first draft as well. I am a huge fan, minus he went to Udub, because I am a huge fan of Denzel Boston, so I obviously love that pick. Bihop. I thought it was interesting in how you described the back end of your draft because that's
Starting point is 00:08:52 always an interesting thing when you're drafting, you know, in those lower rounds and you're not necessarily drafting for the need at that moment, but you are kind of seeing what's left on the board, what could be valuable down the line. So I'm actually with you on if Drew Aller was there. I'm not against that at all in terms of at least having somebody who maybe in the future could be a backup here or you could use to maybe develop behind Cammon in the future. You use him as trade. So there's always always creative things to do in that back end of the draft. So I liked it.
Starting point is 00:09:32 Yeah, the thing that stands out to me, Bihop, you went with a tackle, Caleb Tiernan, in your third round pick. Every time I see a tackle early in your draft, Behop, it reminds you of something you say in a couple shows weeks, weeks ago when you're like, hey, let's get a tackle to get Dan Moore's button in shape a little bit, light of fire under him, because obviously, it felt like there was a lot left on the table for Dan Moore, especially with the contract that he signed in the offseason. That's not awesome deckless, in my opinion. You know, I'm not, you know, I mean, he can get in here and maybe get some solid ground,
Starting point is 00:10:04 learn a system that he's comfortable with and be a quality backup. But I think that even a guy that is as challenging who's been, you know, cut from a few different teams. There's nobody there. What if Dan got hurt? I mean, I wouldn't want left tackle to be left up to Austin. You know what I'm saying? Now, rarely does it happen where offensive line would get hurt because, you know,
Starting point is 00:10:24 the way you're impervious to injury. But for the most part, I think just adding depth and having a player in there that can push the needle. And I think when you look at Caleb, here's a guy that is, that's no, the 66 pick is no slouch, man. That's, that's actually the meat of your draft. You know, so if you were to grab a guy at, you know, 66 as an. as an interior as an offensive lineman,
Starting point is 00:10:43 you're saying a lot about that guy. And for me, that makes the most sense. You know what I mean? We want to have the offensive line shorn up. They went out and addressed some of the interior positions that we've had some vacancies. And we see now that Lloyd Cushenberry is now a bill. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:58 He might be wrestling for a championship up there because that's what they expect, right? I don't know that the level of expectation here in Nashville as it is up in Buffalo. But there needed to be somebody to come in and fill. in that spot. That's where Austin comes in. That's where Cordell comes in to fill in for a Kevin Zitler that's no longer on the roster. So bringing in some linemen like Caleb completely makes sense to me just because you want to have, in my opinion, one of the most, if not most important
Starting point is 00:11:27 positions. And I say that plurally because there's more than just one lineman. There's five those cats. They've got to be consistent. They've got to play together. They've got to have cohesiveness. And if they can do that, then guess what? The offense runs with more functionality. You know what I mean, so I think it gives them an opportunity and, and you know what, there's nothing wrong with competition. Absolutely. Absolutely. Okay. Well, that's BHop's mock draft 2.0. We will return with Kayla's mock draft. And as she tees, there may be some similarities, but also some differences. And that's next on the Titan Squad Show. All right, welcome to the five-hour energy flavor draft with 18 different flavors to choose from, including new options like confetti craze, fruity rainbow, or cotton candy. There's something for everyone.
Starting point is 00:12:13 So the board is set, the flavors are ready, and I've got my number one pick for the five-hour energy flavor draft. I'm a classic guy. So I go with bold cherry, candy-style flavor, sweet, light tart edge, classic red fruit profile. Nothing better than that. However, there is a sleeper pick, and I'm going to go with confetti craze. One of the new flavors is the delicious blend of rich and buttery, freshly baked confetti cake, smooth vanilla frosting, and a sprinkle of sweetness in every sip, kind of like a sweet birthday cake-inspired flavor. Who doesn't love that?
Starting point is 00:12:43 Five hour energy shots give you a boost of energy with zero sugar. So that's awesome. Find your new flavor with five hour energy shots available online at five hour energy.com or Amazon. All right, everybody. So we wanted to go to Kayla's mock draft 2.0 now. And Kayla, I'll have you take it away. All right, guys. Well, speaking of energy drink, I definitely feel like I need a little boost of that right now.
Starting point is 00:13:15 But these drafts are getting me going, guys. This is my favorite time of year leading up to the draft. And it's always fun doing these mock drafts. And this is different from the first one, like you mentioned, that we did a few weeks ago. Because the Titans obviously had a huge free agency period, whether you liked it or you didn't or you're somewhere in the middle. They did make some moves to kind of plug some of these holes. But it was always interesting about that is then you have the draft and you're thinking, okay, well, we plugged some of these holes.
Starting point is 00:13:46 We don't need to really pay attention to those positions, but I say that's not the case, right? You're building for the future eventually, and the future is always built with your draft fix. And some of these guys that they've plugged holes with, like Brad had mentioned before, they're not necessarily like your top starters that you want for years to come. They're kind of a stop gap.
Starting point is 00:14:08 Not all these guys are, but a few of them are. So I think it's interesting how they will approach this draft. but I'm approaching this draft looking at it as Robert Sala coming in as a defensive-minded coach. They've got to make sure with Brian Dayball that they are complimenting Cam and they are making it easy for Cam in his sophomore season. But I do believe that just as much as it's important to have a quarterback on your team, which I believe they have in Cam Ward, you have to be able to have someone who is the quarterback monster. who is a guy that is going to get to the quarterback. And they have missed that pass rush in terms of consistent pass rush.
Starting point is 00:14:52 And particularly like one guy, they haven't had that really in years. And so I am going to stick with while I gave lots of thoughts into Jeremiah Love, and I absolutely do love him. And if the Titans were to draft him, I think he is going to be a hit. I think that he could be someone like a McCaffrey is to their quarterback. back in here in, you know, in the Bay Area with the 49ers. Like he's that versatile and he's that good. But I'm going to stick with my pick of David Bailey at edge. I just think he's such a perfect fit with Robert Sala's defensive front. And obviously in free agency after shoring up that
Starting point is 00:15:33 interior line more and the ends, I think having a guy like this who can instantly be your guy on the edge. We talked about this before. Like the pass rush moves are there. I probably would say he'd probably even implement more of them, but they're pretty elite for a guy who's going to come out of college. That quick first step, it's hard to teach something like that. I mean, this guy can fly off the edge. I think it's going to be really, really good to see at least the front of this defense and picturing what it could be and what a pest it could be to opposing offenses, especially if you guys, if the Titans, I should say, add a guy like David Bailey. So I really like him.
Starting point is 00:16:16 I'm going to stick with him at four. After that, I mentioned this for the second straight time in my mock draft. I have drafted Denzel Boston, the wide receiver, out of UW. And I know Brad did this as well. Look, I like some of the things that are happening with these younger guys. Hopefully, Iyo Manor can take a step forward. Maybe D.K. can find himself more incorporated. in the offense.
Starting point is 00:16:41 And I like the fact that Calvin really is doing what he did. I mean, that shows that he wants to be around this team. Now, can he contribute at a higher level? We'll see. But it's a good thing that he at least believes in the team in the direction of it to take kind of a pay cut there. Denzel Boston, though, this cat is different. First of all, he brings size.
Starting point is 00:17:04 6-4, 212 pounds, incredible high-up side. I think he's just a physical receiver, strong hands. Like this guy is going to catch the ball. He had 11 touchdowns in his final season at Washington, which you have, if you watch any of Washington's games, like this guy was a red zone threat. I think that they can be so big for Cam Ward. We can see the red zone come back to life for this Titans team.
Starting point is 00:17:30 So I think that's a huge part of it as well. He's great in terms of the contested catch. I think his ability just because he's so big to get down, to get those catches. He is that guy. And I truly think his upside is high. So he could even be better, you know, after a couple of years. So I love Denzel Boston. And after that, and like, I don't know exact pronunciation, but I'm going to try. I am going actually with the cornerback out of Ohio State, Davisid Igbenousen. I think that's. Egbenosin. Yeah, you got it. You got it. Yeah, I'm Innocon, and I think, I believe it's Nigerian is what I believe in terms of his pronunciation and everything.
Starting point is 00:18:13 But this is, guys, this is a 6-2-189-pound cornerback. And look, he's on the lighter side in terms of the weight, which he can put on a few pounds, I feel like. But 6-2 cornerback, I love the size. And a little birdie told me that the Titans also like, a bigger cornerback. And I think this guy is right up their alley. First of all, he went to Ohio State, covered that program for three and a half years.
Starting point is 00:18:43 They just do things different over there. They breed guys that are born to step in and play in the NFL. They play the best competition there. They go up against the best competition in practice. So they just know how to produce pros. Look, he brings size and a little bit of edge and confidence to that position. he's super aggressive and physical. He's not afraid to tackle.
Starting point is 00:19:09 I just feel like in that type of defense, he fits what a Robert Sala is looking for. He went up against, like I was saying, even in practice every day at Ohio State, Jeremiah Smith, Carnal Tate, like this guy is ready for the next level. And I know that the Titans address the cornerback position in the draft. But I, again, am looking for long-term future. And this guy wouldn't have to come in and start right away, but injuries always happen. And for some reason, they always happen in the past several years at the quarterback position for the Titans. And so I just feel like to have a guy ready to go in the waiting.
Starting point is 00:19:48 And when one of these guys is ready to move on or you're ready to move off of it, this guy, I think, can be ready for that moment. So I love him at that spot. I'm going to move on to what needs to be addressed. and we've talked about this with Brad's mock draft, but the offensive line, and specifically the interior offensive line with Beau Stevens. I'm going with Bo Stevens out of Iowa, and he's an offensive guard there.
Starting point is 00:20:18 I believe Iowa's offensive line guys, won like the best line in college football this past year, the award for that. They clearly know what they're doing over there, these corn boys. Like they eat a lot of corn, they know what they're doing. It protects their corn.
Starting point is 00:20:31 quarterback. But the average, I would say for him, the average size for him is a little bit above above average. He's physical. He could possibly be a future right guard. And we know that is a little bit up for grabs. And there's a question mark there when it comes to that right guard position. He's a solid run blocker. I think the way this guy plays too, which I like it, the attitude he plays with, he's scrappy. He, um, you know, is a bono. body blow guy. He finishes with intent. So he's going to do what it takes to either win a backup job, or I could even see him eventually being a starter at that right guard spot. So I really like him there. Next up on my list, let's go with another offensive lineman, shall we? Let's go with, I believe it's
Starting point is 00:21:22 Jagger Burton. He is a center out of Kentucky. And he's 24 years old, so a little bit older, which I don't absolutely love, but what I do love about him is he is versatile and he has had that extra experience in college. So it could be beneficial when it comes to coming in and being a depth piece right away. He's been, you know, on the field for a long time. He's, I think for him, he's a little bit more athletic than I've seen from some centers. And so I like that part of it as well. So the experience there, I think him being able to maybe be interchangeable or a little bit versatile could be helpful just with the depth part of the Titans offensive line.
Starting point is 00:22:10 Because again, that's something that they've always needed. And it doesn't hurt to have somebody come in there and maybe, you know, if needed in that first year, even step into a position. Tight end. I was debating about this guys because, again, I know they've made a little bit of moves here and there. but I just feel like another body in terms of tight end you could have as a blocker. John Michael Gilenberg, he is out of Wyoming, the tight end out of Wyoming. He's 6-5, 251 pounds.
Starting point is 00:22:42 He's a big dude. We all know Gunther Helm is tight end one. But after that, like, we'll see what's going to go on here in terms of that tight-end room. He's really good when it comes to yards after they can. catch. He's got some explosive athletic traits, which I really like. He's good blocking in space. The biggest thing for him, if you want to make him, you know, more of a pass catcher, which I don't think they necessarily need with helm there, is he needs to improve on his route running. So that's something that he would have to work on. But he's an athletic guy for being that big. And another, again,
Starting point is 00:23:21 kind of guy you could use in mismatched situations to help Cam Ward out. Next up, another offensive lineman, Trey Zune, the third, is who I'm going with next. He's the offensive lineman out of Texas A&M. And I think this is another guy again that you could bring in, he 6-6-312 pounds for your starter at Texas A&M, which, by the way, I just love SEC made players. just feel facing some of the best competition. You know, weekend and week out is very, very good in terms of then getting to the next level and not being shell-shocked.
Starting point is 00:24:02 I think it's hard sometimes with some of these, you know, smaller conference guys, you see there's a little bit of a growth period when they hit the NFL. But for these SEC guys, I don't feel like it is much for them. So this guy is likely to probably slide to a center or guard position. He plays left tackle or did, I should say, for A&M. But again, he has the ability to move around. I think he could be a solid starter at some point or just a backup tackle if needed. So again, you can move him around on the line via what you kind of want him to do.
Starting point is 00:24:41 But it is mostly probably more of a depth piece right there in terms of Trey. Next up on the list, we've got Nick Barrett, the defensive tackle out of South Carolina. Carolina. Look, I know that they have also brought in guys there in free agency. I just feel like the way that Mike Borgonzi is working is like it's never a bad thing to bring in what you could have eventually being a depth piece and just to sure up that line as much as you could for the future. He's six three, a little undersides, 312 pounds. Not overly explosive or athletic, but a solid run stopper. and he can add even more mass if he wants to to be maybe a backup nose tackle at some point. So again, we're getting towards the end of the draft. But again, we're looking for pieces that maybe could eventually be depth or, you know, if you need them to step in at some point, like I said, they could be prepared to do that. Finally, I'm going with a linebacker, Owen Heineke, out of Oklahoma.
Starting point is 00:25:44 We all know that's a great defense that they have there in Oklahoma. and he is a little undersized, but this is what I love about him. Again, fitting that Robert, solid type of personality, he is relentless. He's got that mentality, that motor. He is going to do everything he can on every single snap. He's a dog. He's a former lacrosse player, which we all know. Those guys are tough too.
Starting point is 00:26:09 He brings agility, pursuit speed. He can wrap up as a tackler. I really like him. and if anything, guys, he could be super, super valuable on special teams. So that's my draft. And I got some new people in there and I stuck with some of the same at the top. Yeah, I do like the Davis and Igbenosa pick. That's one of the ones I've had him in a couple of the mock drafts,
Starting point is 00:26:35 not some of the ones we've shown, but some of the other ones. Behop, what stands out real quickly when we hit the break. Well, of course, you can't go wrong with David Bailey. He does address a need in creating outside pressure, right? somebody that can couple with Jermaine Johnson and players of that elk to help Jeffrey Simmons, you know, get after the quarterback. So I don't dislike that at all. You know, to me, it's either six of one and a half dozen of another. You could take the best running back in the draft, the tremendous guy in the backfield or the best pass rusher with 14 and a half sacks in 2025 as a
Starting point is 00:27:04 collegiate. So I like that. Denzo, obviously Denzo Boston, a guy that Kayla and I both feel highly about because we both picked him. So, you know, and just I think here's the, here's a situation guys. After the fifth round, they're either sleepers or just qualified as late rounders, right? Sleeper meaning someone that was taken later in the draft that all of a sudden turned out to be somebody. It happens all the time, right? Somebody that just people kept passing on, you know, they didn't take a flyer on this guy because they felt a certain way about him or whatever. And then all of a sudden gets into the league and becomes a tremendous player. That's great. You never saw that coming, but it happens all the time, right, Tom Brady? But in essence, you know,
Starting point is 00:27:43 anyone that's highly regarded in the draft will be gone before three. And if he's available after that, either he had something happened to him dramatic in injury or something crazy happened. And they realized there was just some element of discovery that kind of really pinpointed some things that made people draw pauses to taking him. So it really is about the best available player at that. Because if you're waiting until the fifth, six, seventh round of the draft to address a need after free agencies are already taking place?
Starting point is 00:28:14 What are you doing? For the most part, you should have gotten veterans, the players that have the most experience, to fill those most pertinent needs. And then when you look at some players that could actually be better than those veterans going into their second year, those are first rounders, second rounders,
Starting point is 00:28:29 third round draft picks that can really make an immediate impact. And that's what we're looking at. So best available. Then, of course, for me, I told you guys when I was taking them doing my draft, it's by ranking at that position. If you're the eighth best tackle in the draft and you're available in the sixth round, I'm taking you.
Starting point is 00:28:47 Absolutely. Because somebody saw something in you that gave you that top 10 ranking, right? But for whatever reason, maybe because other needs were filled, maybe because a team that thought they were going to take you didn't and it should shift people's draft boards around. For the most part, guys, I mean, the draft is not a rocket science. It is by taking a talented player and putting them in a position that you need someone to be able to step up and have an immediate impact.
Starting point is 00:29:12 Yes. And if you want to see our previous mock drafts, you can look at that on wherever you get your podcast, Spotify, Apple, all that fun stuff. Starting point is 00:30:36 All right, guys. So I wanted to go through my mock draft real quick. There are some similarities to my first mock draft, some differences. I went with Jeremiah Love at number four. I just think when you think of wanting either the need or best player available, I ask myself, do you like scoring touchdowns? And so I automatically think of players who do. And Jeremiah Love would be an instant guy every time he touches the ball to score a touchdown.
Starting point is 00:31:03 He would also become the Titans immediate top target on the offensive side of the ball with him, Brian Dable, Cam Ward. I think it's a match made in heaven. I go Jeremiah Love. Now, 35 is where I take my edge and Zion Young, hand in the ground, hand of the dirt type of guy. The one thing that does scare me, and it was put in the comment section in the chat,
Starting point is 00:31:21 is that 11.5 sacks over his college career, the production maybe not where you want it to be, but I will point this, he had six and a half in his final season, which means he is getting better. And so just having a different type of edge than Jermaine Johnson, who is more of a stand-up kind of guy,
Starting point is 00:31:36 I think that's why I would go with Zion Young at 35, good value there. I go with Keelan Rutledge, guard at a Georgia Tech, 66 overall. If I'm taking Jeremiah Love early, I need to improve that offensive line. And Rutledge is a guy that has sort of a mean streak about him. And Behop, how many times have we said that this offensive line needs some nasty? They need to add somebody with a little bit more grit. I thought that would be J.C. Latham.
Starting point is 00:32:02 He's still kind of coming to his own on that front. But I think that's what they're missing. Not to mention, he is a right guard technically. But he also could slide over and take some snaps at the center, which he did at the senior mole, I believe. And so having him as a third round option, I like that for Mr. Relage. Also, he played at MTSU, Middle Tennessee. So there is a little bit of a connection there locally.
Starting point is 00:32:28 101 is where I go wide receiver in Bryce Lance, who is actually Trey Lance's brother. 6-3, over a thousand-yard season. Again, it is North Dakota State. So you might take it with a great assault of can he do this against top level competition? However, his 4-3 speed, the 40-yard dash speed was 4-3, top-5 amongst receivers. He had a top-five vertical. His broad jump was in the top three amongst receivers. So he's an athletic freak, and the Titans are missing that vertical speed, I think.
Starting point is 00:33:01 So as a development piece at 101. Devin Marshall, cornerback, I add some depth there. I think he's kind of a sleeper pick. kind of a sticky corner, you know, 30-inch arms, 5-11, 200 pounds, not quite as big as the corner you had, Kayla, in your draft. But I think from at 142, when you're looking for a depth piece in the secondary, which I do think the Titans need to draft another corner, even though they addressed it, I think he could be that at 142.
Starting point is 00:33:30 And then I went with kind of a similar philosophy to B-Hop on the back end of this, and you just said, hey, what's the best player available for some of the positions and where they rank. Added some defensive tackle depth in Zane Durant at 144. Sam Roush, I had him in my first draft. I think he's one of the better blocking tight ends at a Stanford. That adds a third tight end in the mix there. Went with another brother to a Titans player, Lander Barton, brother of Cody Barton,
Starting point is 00:33:59 much different player, but I think he's got more length than Cody. Cody's more of a compact kind of player at linebacker. and then some safety help in Jalen Catalan at 225. So that is my draft, some similarities, some differences. But as you see compared to my first draft that I had, which was David Bailey at number four, I was, oh, there's a dog in the back. My dog did not like the draft.
Starting point is 00:34:26 Kayla's dog did not like my draft. But I went with an offensive lineman a little bit earlier because I'm getting Jeremiah 11th in this draft. So that's where I go with that one. Don't sleep on that powerhouse North Dakota State. Kayla can tell you about that being out west. They crank them out some players now. Yeah, and I'm not trying to hate on smaller schools.
Starting point is 00:34:46 Like I went to Washington State, and they produced some really good NFL talent. I think initially when I'm thinking like higher, you know, the higher you are up when you're picking in the draft, obviously some of these big name, you know, conferences, SEC, Big Ten, you're able to get more like instant production. Whereas I think with a guy like Bryce Lance, I think he's probably, I haven't done much research on him, but he is probably extremely talented, but he's going to have to take a little time maybe to adjust to the NFL. Like it's not going to happen as quick. Yeah. And you know what, guys, I'm thinking, well, actually, I want to ask you a question, Julian, because you picked the same player that I did at number four. Jeremiah Love and the expectation.
Starting point is 00:35:34 I'm kind of thinking along the lines of familiarity being a conduit to support for this team. Familiarity in that Robert Sala is a well-known name. Brian Dayball is a well-known name. Jeremiah Love is probably one of the players that's getting the most attention in this year's draft. To me, it just kind of does raise the level of expectation of what we can, what we envision for these players in the future. But your thoughts on the role that he can play and the difference that he can make in this offense.
Starting point is 00:36:06 Yeah, you know, I think that the Titans got so much better at the end of last season when they proved that they can run the ball consistently and the offensive line did a lot better. And Cam Ward even played a lot better in the back end of the stretch. Would they establish a running game? I mean, heck, Tony Pollard might have had the quietest thousand yards season I've ever seen. And so to have a guy like a Jeremiah love, not only is he a three down back, but he's really good in the receiving game too.
Starting point is 00:36:33 he becomes an instant threat every time he touches the football. And to have that shiny toy with Brian Dable, who is, you know, let's not get it twisted here. He is coaching for head coaching position. And so to make Cam Ward and Jeremiah Love in years two and one respectively have breakout seasons and to have that kind of weapon there, I think it's a match made in heaven personally, not to mention what we've talked about on the show, Bhop, just having a running back in this franchise seems to be. their identity seems to be the M.O. of the Tennessee Titans. And I think adding Jeremiah Love in the mix would certainly do that. He'd be their best player on the offensive side of the ball day one.
Starting point is 00:37:14 So let me add, let me add into that because, and the reason why I was, I was so close to taking him at four this time in my mock draft, because when you have a quarterback like Cam Ward who doesn't need anybody to help his confidence, like Cam Ward knows who he is and that That's why I love him, and he's going to work hard to get to where he needs to be. But let's just be real. It's the NFL. It will be nicer if you have a piece like Jeremiah Love that you can count on. And I think how I look at it is this last year covering the Niners over here,
Starting point is 00:37:54 Rock Purdy or Mack Jones, whoever the quarterback was, when they were down to like their skeleton crew of wide receivers, and you had to rely on somebody, who is it going to be? It was going to be Christian McCaffrey. And Christian McCaffrey led the Niners in receiving yards this year. So when things get bad, you don't ever want to have that be the case where you're running back necessarily lead you and receiving yards. But my point being that if needed, I feel like Jeremiah Love could be that guy to step up wherever he needed to step up in a season where if there were injuries or something like. that as long as he stays healthy, he can really take so much pressure off of Cam Ward.
Starting point is 00:38:38 Yeah. And the thing with me, he doesn't have the mileage. It may be other guys coming out of college. You guys only 20 years old. I mean, and so, I mean, there's there's a lot of tread on those tires coming into the NFL. That's for sure. Kayla, real quick, you mentioned Denzo Boston and what an impact player that you think he can be. I know what I was thinking. I'm thinking And here's a guy that, you know, can stretch the field. Here's a dude that, you know, at 6-4, it is going to win that, you know, contest to catch battle. You know, I mean, is somebody that's kind of, you know,
Starting point is 00:39:11 maybe not a sleeper by any chance, stretch because he is a projected number one. Right. But if we were to grab him at number two, I think that that would almost, I'm not going to say a steal because, you know, anything could happen, but I really like what he's doing. I know. It's funny you say that because when I was doing some of my draft analysis, he isn't getting as much love as something.
Starting point is 00:39:30 of these other receivers. And I think, well, fine, keep that up because science could get him there. I agree. I think it's a steal. I think he could be a huge weapon, even in year one. Yeah. Oh, don't know anybody want that dead to them to Boston. Right?
Starting point is 00:39:45 Yeah. That guy, man, let him go. Don't even draft him. Snatch. Yeah. Draft is also about a little gamesmanship as well. Okay, we have one more break, and we're going to take some questions and comments real quick here, the Titan Squad Show.
Starting point is 00:39:59 thoughts on the mock draft, who you would take, and maybe some differences in some of the drafts that you guys have done so far on your own. This is a job for Indeed. Indeed. Indeed. Indeed. And the Titans have a big job to do with this draft. One of them is filling in the wide receiver position and Awaken to the Eternal says this draft is insufficient to some of the Titans other needs like wide receiver. Are you guys surprised to see that considering you guys both took Denzel Boston quite early?
Starting point is 00:41:38 This is being, I mean, this is they're saying this is a receiver-rich draft. Yeah. I think so it's neat. Right. That's what I'm saying. With so many available options to them, you know, and I'm not saying we have a whole bunch of need at wide receiver, especially when you look, when you bring back E. Like Iy Manor, who had a tremendous rookie season.
Starting point is 00:41:58 Calvin Ridley, I said he has to be healthy to make a difference. But you know, he can when he makes a difference, right? Kaley, you watch this guy for years. And I don't need to tell you about Wondell Robinson, the most experienced player that we have running Brian Dayball's offense. So not only is he, you know, an asset from, you know, a catch radius standpoint, but from a hell, hey, Mason Kinsey, this is what we're doing. Bryce Oliver, this is how you do that.
Starting point is 00:42:20 Chim D.K., this is what's going on when we do these things. This is a player that, you know, the younger players can tap into. Denzel Boston, I think, you know, with his ability and, you know, his intangibles, he can get right in line with those players that are learning from those veterans that we hope to make a huge impact from a stretch to feel. standpoint. So why a receiver to me, the most athletic position on the football field, you know, it's got to be something that we have a lot of depth at and a lot of good rotation at two. And throw in, so Jeremy Levin there as a receiver as well. You can do it all.
Starting point is 00:42:51 I say to that too, like, again, I'm looking at the future. And I know that there are, I mean, let's be honest, though, the Titans need things all over the place. Like, this is a team that's trying to rebrand itself, rebuild itself. But I am going to stick to true to what I said. Anything you can to help Cam Ward be the best quarterback he can be and surround him with the best weapons for the future, not just, you know, Ridley right now in the in the present. Like we want guys that are going to be with Cam Ward for a second contract. Like so I look at this as being if he's there, I think the value is really, really solid for Denzel Boston.
Starting point is 00:43:33 You go and get him and you then figure out, you know, what he fits in and where he fits in. and where he fits in later. But I think he's somebody who, again, you could make the offense so much more explosive by adding a guy like that. Hey, man, we've got a hard out, bro. Yeah, I know we do. I know we do.
Starting point is 00:43:50 He just wanted to say before at the end of it, he said Chris Brazel at 35 should be that wide receiver, and that's the Tennessee receiver length. But the big thing with him is, is he going to translate to the NFL because we've seen before the big criticism with Tennessee and Josh Heifel's receivers is that, Maybe he's not showcasing them to their fullest abilities. I will also say, A.J. Brown was a second round pick.
Starting point is 00:44:13 So you don't need to pick a receiver that early to get that guy. So there you go, Bhop with a snap at the end. All right.
