Well, guys, the Titans lose a close one to the Browns.
And Kayla, I think they're going to be looking at this one as one that got away for sure.
Absolutely.
And, you know, we've talked a lot about the defense lately and pointed out the good.
But today we'll point out some of the bad with the defense.
And I'm going to tell you why fighting the good fight just might be the fight to have.

Tennessee Titans fall to 1 and 6 following a 27 to 24 loss to the Cleveland Browns.
A game winning field goal by the Browns in the final seconds puts them over the top and left a lot of Titans fans leaving Nissan Stadium fairly disappointed today.
And Behop, you were there today.
Last week, the Titans found a way to win.
Today, they found a way to lose.
What happened out there?
Well, it started out, a house on fire.
You know what I mean? We saw Tony Pollard on his way to having the best day that he's had, especially in the first half and he's had all season.
And it looked like things are going to go to the Titans way, especially when you talk about the defense getting turnovers.
And then, of course, the offense capitalizing on those turnovers, things were definitely going that direction.
But like I've said before, this team is just not a team that can overcome turnovers.
And unfortunately, they slowed down momentum to points off the board and also allowed the Browns to take advantage.
Now, let's also set the table, Kailan, you can back me up on this.
This ain't your mama's Browns.
This is a different Browns team.
And Deshaun Watson is not looking like that dude that's going to be trade bait at the end of the year.
He's looking like a player, for instance.
So I think at the end of the day, this team did enough to win a ball game.
But when you do enough to lose a ball game, that usually would happen, what happens,
especially in a team that's in transition with coaches and players and so much newness around there.
I'm making excuses.
This is just reality.
because we did see them make plays when they needed to.
We saw Cam continue drives.
We also saw Cam throw overthrow some players.
So like he said at the post-game conference, press conference,
there's enough blame to go around.
But there's also, like Robert Salas said,
enough to be excited about.
And fortunately, the effort was in a loss.
Yeah, Kayla, like last week we were talking about how, man,
like what a step in the right direction for this team.
They made plays Doug Deep to win a game.
But this week, you know, they felt like they were one or two.
two plays just a bit shy today.
Yeah, Julian, they were.
And I look at this is, look, these are all things that point to a team that's trying to figure
itself out, right?
A team that is going to kind of go through these learning experiences throughout the season.
Hopefully, this will come through most of the first half of the season.
They've got one more game with Cincinnati until they get to that bi-week.
And then maybe we start to see them put together full games.
Because right now, we're just getting like,
the bits and pieces. And when I say, you know, things like missed opportunities,
there were plenty of those today, right? You guys, like no points on first and goal early in
the game when they could have taken the 21 to 7 lead. That was crucial right there.
We talk about, you know, this team down the stretch. They tie it up. And then there's opportunities
missed at the end of that game. Obviously, you know, the Browns win it with a field goal,
which is still, it's not like they got blown out of this game.
but I think that there were points of this game where they could have gone up a little bit more and made it harder on the Browns.
Instead, they missed those opportunities.
Yeah, you're talking about kind of putting them away earlier.
And Robert Sulla talked about that in the post game press conferences.
They should have knocked them out, right?
Yeah.
They could have been up to scores.
The goal line blunder obviously was huge because the offense was moving the ball at that point, Bhop, like you mentioned.
And it seemed like they came out, guns ablaze it.
And you let the Browns kind of just hang around.
and hang around. And as we've learned with this Cleveland team and the way they've won
games over this season, you can't really do that. Like they have five comeback wins this year.
They've learned how to win in situations like this. The Titans haven't learned to finish enough
times to step on a team's neck while they were ahead. And that's kind of what you saw in there.
Well, let's also look at some of the Brown's weapons. Mr. Concepcion did not look like a rook.
This dude looked like a flat-out baller. Okay. He's a playmaker for sure. And what
they were doing with him is they were attacking the middle of the zone, right?
That slant route, that intermediate situation, that Concepcion and, of course, Deshaun
Watson were connecting on early and often, that's what was keeping them in manageable down
and distance.
Then when they started attacking the perimeter with the run game, because what they were doing
was we weren't disciplined enough up front to not get, lose contained.
So we saw so many times during the run game, got to the sideline, then he also made
and plays, and of course, when you're dealing with shorter downs and distances that allow them to
stay on the field. Now, this is a better offense than what we anticipated at the beginning of the year.
As a matter of fact, I think I had the Browns as one of the first wins for the Titans as they were coming
to Nashville. And also, you look up and this team's already won four games, you're thinking,
oh, my God, they're leading the Divina right now. This isn't the Browns team that we thought about.
But also just looking at, you know, just how the Titans didn't finish drives that they had opportunities
to, that fourth down situation, I mean, the four down situation at the four down situation at
the goal line. Oh my gosh. Especially when we already had scored so we thought with Tony
Poller going for a possible third touchdown of the game and it just didn't and took it out
the board and when we weren't able to get in, that stalled momentum. And of course, the back and
forth turnovers that we have that situation, the fumble by a fanon and then of course the
interception by Cam. Those are the situations that we have to avoid. Same thing can be said about
Carnel Tate, who yet again makes a play in open field, gets knocked out of his hands. He made some
tremendous catches. They did some great jobs converting to continue drives, which I like,
but when they got in third and plus five, you know what I mean? It didn't seem like that's
when the conversion rates went down because I think we were three and three for five in third
down conversion for the most part. Then we ended up next thing you know, you look up with like third
and three out of 12 or something like that in third down conversion. So you definitely saw them
do enough early, but then when it got to be late and of course the Browns were then putting
some points on the board and then ultimately taking the lead and we're trying to scratch and
clock get back in the ball game let me say this though the the uh the the the the jets game definitely
or the jets game definite but-wopin we weren't even in that ballgame philly left you like dang it we could
have uh baltimore left you like dang we could have uh texan's game another dirt road whipping right
um the the the of course the colts game we won so there's been there's only been two instances
where i thought that this team just was outplayed out class out everything right they deserve to lose
but those other losses that we have from this team,
they had chances to win the ballgame just like they did today.
So, Marr, think about it.
Think about it.
The Browns had to take it down to zero on the clock and kick a field goal to win this game.
So it wasn't like we were completely out of it.
It wasn't like we did so much to lose this ball game,
even though, like I said earlier on, those turnovers are very costly,
and this just isn't a team that can overcome those situations.
Kayla, would you agree that the next step of Bhop,
after hearing what he said,
that the next step for this team is to get over the hump and learn how to close out a lot of
these games that they're competitive in because that I think was the initial expectation is that,
okay, can this team compete against some of these teams?
Now it's can you finish the job?
No, I think you're right on that.
And I think we've seen it.
It's different because it's like we've seen the offense not give themselves opportunities.
And then, you know, we've seen the defense like today down the stretch, you know,
kind of allowing them to march right back down the field towards the end of the game
and getting field goal range and win the game, right?
So it's really, again, both sides of the ball, helping each other out,
complimentary football when it means something down the stretch too.
And that's why I talk about bits and pieces kind of coming together because in this game,
we saw the offense come out finally and put some points on the board early,
give them some momentum early, helping the defense out a little bit,
because I feel like we're always like the offense isn't even on the field the first half, right?
And so today we saw something different, but then down the stretch, again,
we couldn't find a way to help each other out on both sides of the ball to finish the game.
So yeah, I think it's all about starting to put things together and be able to win those tight games,
be in the game first of all, but then win those tight games down the stretch.
Sure thing.
complimentary football name of the game indeed we're going to talk about the defense on the other side
of the brie hop did you have something before go to break no no that was me saying you're dead spot on
complimentary football um complimentary football name of the game and we will talk about one of the sides

All right, guys, so Cleveland rushes for 183 yards on the ground.
They pass for 308 yards.
And of course, we saw what happened at the end of the game.
Defense not only gives up the drive that ultimately led to a game-winning field goal,
but even the drive before that, they gave up the touchdown to Deshaun Watson
on the rushing play that would ultimately give the Browns the lead.
So I guess I got to ask, you know, there is a lot of expectations on this defense coming into the season.
What happened today, especially coming off of last week where they made a ton of plays.
And this one, when it came up and it mattered most in crunch time, they kind of collapsed and faltered near the end.
Yeah.
And I don't know from your standpoint, Brad, like there today.
But to me, you know, watching it during the game.
from the TV side of things.
This defense, you know, they were missing tackles all over the place.
You know, it's like getting guys down was a difficult thing today.
And I don't know if that, you know, you usually look at that.
It's like it looks like a lack of effort.
And I'm not trying to say that there was a lack of effort throughout the whole entire game.
But it did seem like they were missing some of those tackles that then, you know,
led to some of these extra yards.
Because when you have, like Brad said earlier,
multiple weapons to be working with in this game.
I mean, Quinshan Junkins, I think he had one of his best games today because he's not
really been the guy for them recently where we all know what he can do, right?
We all know what he did in the SEC.
So he has had a bit of a slow start.
And then he kind of got going here against the Titans today.
And then you named it, Brad Casey Concepcion, the rookie that is also had a huge day,
one of his best days on Titans.
Day, obviously they're they're tight end too. Why am I blanking on his name right now?
Fannan. Harold Fannin. He had, I think, 90 plus yards in terms of receiving 91.
So there were so many weapons that were working today. And then when you're not making those
crucial tackles and playing, you know, football in terms of disciplined football, this is what's
going to happen. Behop, what went on with the new job today?
Well, the first thing, like Robert said at the press conference was they didn't get enough from the front floor.
They didn't apply enough pressure.
Femi was recorded as the only sack and that really wasn't a sack.
Is what he chased somebody out of bounds?
Give him credit now because he was in pursuit.
You know, had he not been in pursuit, Deshaun probably made a completion there, but he ran him out of bounds.
It goes on the staff sheet.
Yeah, yeah.
It does.
But think about it.
We don't want stats like that, do we?
He'll take that, but that's not how we want sacks.
We want sacks where Big Jeff and Jermaine and, of course, Jacob Martin, who's been, I think he's had a sack in every game in the last three games.
He didn't have any today.
It's just, you know, they did enough to keep us out.
Now, I understand maybe from a game planning standpoint, the last thing you want to do is open up through your rush lanes, the ability for Deshaun Watson to use his legs.
Right.
So I did see them doing a lot of spying.
You know what I mean?
so that basically and also we didn't dial up a lot of pressure.
I'm sure we did some stunts and things like that up front,
but you didn't see five in the box,
eight in the box,
unless we saw a formation where they weren't having,
you know,
bunch sets or wide receivers out wide to where you all of a sudden you were spread out.
You know,
then we saw guys at the line of scrimmage when they were in like 12 personnel or whatever.
But for the most part,
we just didn't do enough of bringing five,
creating those one-on-one situations that we've seen be problematic
added for most offenses to this defense.
And it couldn't get off the field on third down.
I was just trying to look up what their third down conversion was.
And I do know, and, you know, Quinn Sean Jenkins having 17 carriers for 94 yards, 96 yards.
It wasn't the day that Tony Pollard, excuse me.
Browns are five for 11 today, by the way.
Right.
There you go.
Seemed like there were more than that, you know what I mean?
It seemed heavier.
Yeah.
But the point being when we needed to get off the field in crucial situations, or even when the Browns
started off in their own territory and taking the ball all the way down and putting up points.
I mean, that seemed to be a situation that, you know, was problematic for our defense.
So going back to, you know, I thought the catalyst for us not being effective worse,
giving Deshaun too much time in the pocket.
Of course, his timing routes with, with Casey Concepcion was amazing.
You know, he hit Denzel Boston every now and then.
But then he also overthrew a couple of situations, you know, but for the most part, him not
holding on to the football and then being precise with attacking the middle of the field
just didn't allow the Titans to really get much pressure on him at all. And that's why we saw
them staying on the field too long. Yeah, I guess the disappointing thing, too, was that last
week the defense really made their presence felt. You know, they were making plays all over the field.
Behop, you mentioned getting after the quarterback. They had six sacks as a team last week.
Wasn't the same amount of pressure this week. Run defense obviously was troubling today. And it just seemed
like it reminded me of the Eagles game in week two where by the end it just kind of seemed
that they were worn down and they needed to make that real big stop.
And those are the two games now where they see the defense can't get a stop in those
clutch situations, especially when a team is running the ball like that and continuing to
pick up first downs.
Now, I will ask this, if the Titans make it 21 to 7 and they converted the goal, how
different is this game because operating with a two score lead as a defense,
is much different than operating with a one score limit.
No, no, no.
That's the biggest difference.
The momentum shifted in the game when they got the four down stop on us.
Like you said, if they'd have scored, in other words,
when Tony Powell ran off the football field and we thought that he scored,
you know how much of a difference that would have made in the ballgame?
Because guess what?
What does this defense do best?
Pin their ears back and get after the passer.
Exactly.
And they would have been able to do that with consistency
because the Browns would have been forced in trying to score
and get back in the ball game being down two points.
And not only did they not score, I think they allowed the Browns to get a field goal.
Now, sure, it's just a field goal with a touchdown, but it was three as opposed to you having seven.
You know what I mean?
So that was the biggest difference in the ball game was the four-down stop that the Browns had inside the five-yard line.
Yeah.
Well, and Kayla, let me ask you this because, you know, last week we saw the defense really have the offenses back, right?
They had to make that much more plays.
Special teams too, but the defense had to be there that much more
because the offense was struggling last week.
I would argue that this week, though the offense scored 24 points,
when the defense is struggling like that,
they needed to reciprocate that much more,
which is where the four-play stop at the goal line,
having three chances at the one-yard line,
like Bhop was saying,
it was really the turning point in this point.
ball game.
Yeah, and that's, I think sometimes when those types of things happen where, you know,
it's like I think the defense overall this season has been more effective and has kind of
carried things at times while the offense has just struggled, right, to produce anything.
And then, so what's disappointing like you mentioned is you saw an offense today that
was operating.
Like, look, you guys, when we see the staff.
for Tony Pollard in this one.
Like when you look at his stats and I'm bringing him up right now.
25 carries, 125 carries, 129 yards, obviously three touchdowns.
But when you have Pollard having his best day and you're able to start generating offense
and getting down the field, but then you shoot yourself in the foot when it really matters.
Like you said, in those red zone situations, you know, cam with the turnover, the fumble and
everything like it almost is like a dagger for the defense to be like great now we got to go out here
and try to bail you out again and i think that's where we go back to the beginning where we're talking
about just this offense trying to start to put things together consistently from front to to back
because these are the types of like momentum changing things that then the defense just feels like
time and time again they're going to try to save the day and we know that the football can't work like
that. So yeah, it's a bummer to see because I really felt like this was a different looking
offense to start the game. And again, because you were able to get that run game going, but they
just hurt themselves so much. And that's got to stop. Yeah, I think that their commitment to the
run early, it definitely made an effect. And of course, even when they had a penalty that brought
them back like 1st and 15, the carnal take catch still was able to continue to drive. Ultimately,
Tony Powell gets into the end zone. The next series that the Browns had the ball, they ended up
they want to turn throw on a pick because why they were on a sideline for so long you know what
mean normally what we've seen from the titan is almost a three and out maybe they get four or five
plays and they end up having to punt but i don't think either team punted for a while certainly not in
the first quarter because we definitely saw the the titans committing to the run getting those chunk
plays and then some point after that four down situation it just didn't you know it really wasn't
I mean, even Red was agreeing with me.
Exactly. He was very mad.
He's saying, right, Bhop, tell him about it.
So, you know, but that this, I just think that, you know, I think that there's two, there's two things.
Like, they have yet to play a complete game.
Complete, yeah.
They play complimentary, but that's the difference between complimentary and complete.
Complete means you didn't have any turnovers, you scored when you needed to.
The defense was contributing to turnovers, getting stops, getting off the field.
you know, that's a complete game.
Complementary, you know, the offense didn't put the defense in that much of a pickle,
even though we did have two turnovers.
They still weren't like getting booted off the field and three-and-outs and all this other stuff.
We saw them have some semblance of an offense, and they did get some things rolling for the most part,
but obviously the Browns got to give the Browns credit.
I mean, there's enough that we did to lose the ball game, but giving the Browns credit for being a team that, you know,
played more complete than we did.
or played more complimentary than we did.
That's one of the reasons why we ended up with another L.
Yeah, and just the Titans as a team that's still learning how to win,
they're going to have to play that much more of a complete game
than the next team if they are to get some more wins on the board.
We are going to talk about Cam Ward and their offensive performance today
for the Titans as a whole.
Stick with us.
That's next here on the Titan Squad Show.

All right, guys, Cam Ward finishes the day 20 to 31, 181 yards, doesn't throw a touchdown, has the one interception, but he did lead some scoring drives today as well.
What did you make of his performance as a whole, Kayla?
Yeah, it's still a little bit of a mixed bag for Cam Ward.
And I know people are still calling for him to get benched.
I would say, I would say, hold your horses here.
This guy is starting to learn to do things different.
we're not seeing as many of these plays where, you know, he's running out of the pocket and throwing it to the slide.
Like, we're starting to see him take some chances.
And maybe that's why we've also seen some interceptions as of late because I think when we weren't seeing him turn the ball over early in the season, I think he was playing it really, really safe.
And I think right now he is trying to, you know, do some more things to kind of learn what's in front of him.
and also, you know, trust the line in front of him where he's able to step up in situations in the pocket.
And so I've seen some progress. And, you know, obviously give him credit. He came out,
seven of eight passes completed to start the game. He builds that 14-0 lead.
And then look at what he did at the end of the game and the kind of the two-minute drill.
With that 11 play 63-yard drive, he was able to have that really good.
I thought this is one of my, this is one of my points here, trusting, you know, what's in
front of him. And in this situation, he got hit as he threw the ball, but he threw that great
ball to Elyle-Manner. And then I also thought the one, you know, for the touchdown to Carnell
Tate was also very nice. So I think there's been some progress with Cam. I know it's hard to see
sometimes, you guys, because he does have then the interception, which came out at a, it was a
costly time, timely interception. But there are some things I'm seeing out of him that are good.
and that are growth moments.
He's just got to start to be more consistent.
Yeah.
You know, there are two things of which we gauge
quarterback's decision-making and accuracy.
You know what I mean?
And I think that, you know, Cam hasn't been 100%
and no one will be 100%.
But I think that when you look at Deshaun Watson
missing wide open receivers today, just like Cam,
the biggest difference in how we view that is the record.
Deshawn's won five games.
Cam's one-one's playmakers, they made plays for him.
Like you said, Kayla, earlier on in our segment, I mean, the yards have to contact thing.
Those guys were getting first downs, man.
They were spinning.
And, you know, as soon as we got in contact, they were just breaking tackles, doing all kinds of things.
There was a couple of instances also where I thought the Cam maybe could have committed to running.
Okay.
You know what I mean?
Yeah, I agree.
I mean, the one to Bellinger, I mean, maybe the defense does converge and it gets to him a little
sooner than he gets to the first down marker.
But it did look like there was some green grass in front of him where he maybe
could have made some different plays with his legs.
And I can also see where he's still scanning downfield to make those explosives.
But if you decide to tuck that rascal and get what you can get with your legs,
I mean, that also makes you a dual threat.
You know, defense just have to then start catering to that your ability to do that.
But we haven't seen Cam just really, you know, just kind of commit himself mentally to
going ahead once the pass for us gets too feverish and they're around him and he needs to get
going, he finds a crease, just go.
You know what I mean? So it's easy to
second guess, you know, right now and say what he
could have done or what he should have done.
Accuracy is still an issue. I mean, on
the one pick that he threw to Ehrlich,
I think that him
finally finding Ehrlich in the middle of
the field and then seeing that
he needed to go ahead and give him that ball that he
needed to out in front of him.
And it was just a little bit behind him and you saw
Ward make that, DeNzo Ward
make that great pick. I mean, those
are the things. You know what I mean? So
it's almost like you have to be a point guard
and just really anticipating the lead
for your guy going to the rack
versus you being behind him
and have to make some sort of, you know,
behind the body adjustment.
You just want that to be better timing
and that'll come, you know,
I think that as they do more and more of that
is to get more and more consistent.
But, you know, like I said,
Deshaun did some of the same things,
but we're not looking at him
and judging the man's character
and all kinds of stuff, his intelligence and all the other stuff.
Why? Because they're ultimately winning ball games,
right now and he's not a reason why they're not winning ball games yeah winning
certainly cure is all Kayla I think you you described it perfectly it was another
mixed bag you know obviously there were some throws he'd like to have back
um I will mention the receivers also had some crucial drops sure the game too
um you know I think carnell had one one Dale had one uh there's somebody else that I'm
missing as well but Ward had some misses there's the one that the street to
the to Bellinger that that the overthrow yeah
Yeah, that's one that he would like to have back for sure.
That looks like it's a touchdown.
But then he makes up for it on the Elyle-Ale-Manner one that you mentioned got hit.
There was the one to Carnel that set them up at the goal line.
And so, again, I think we're still waiting for the complete game, you know,
that complete performance where, because today it felt like for every good moment,
there was also some that wasn't so good.
And it kind of led to the mixed bag and the unpredictability of that.
You know who's actually missing.
84, I said, was going to the Pro Bowl this year.
Yeah, they found him a couple of times today, but it wasn't.
This is the first time that he's caught the ball in like three games.
I thought about that too, Brad.
National tight ends, it's national tight ends and they're all over the place today.
Okay, but let me ask you this.
The call was talking about how Cam and Gunner have become best friends off the field, right?
Sure.
Well, what if they became best friends on the damn field?
You know what I mean?
So you start to see that the underneath.
stuff really take effect. And that ultimately opens it up for, for, uh, for 14 as well.
Behot, let me ask you this. Why isn't Gunner Helm more of a red zone target?
Brough, if I can answer that question, this team would have won three more games.
He's a biggest deal on the field, mismatch nightmare physically has a great catch radius.
We've seen him do it before. We did it. Yeah, you know why? This is my thing. This is my thing.
I think that when you got a brand new shiny toy, like the third pick of the draft,
fourth particular draft and you're really looking to get him involved and engaged in the
offense sometimes you overlook the stuff that just seems to be the simplest and the easiest to go
to because they're not having gunner runs you know skinny posts or go out you know so the stuff the
long developing stuff why because i mean he's a big body he leaves the line of scrimmage
usually attached to the offensive line you know i mean so his his work that's going to be underneath
And until you decide to make that early decision to go to him, he's a second or third thought.
You see what I'm saying?
Versus the initial thought.
How many times, I mean, we saw, I think it was maybe Lamar Jackson that was finding the tight ends consistently over the Mark Andrews.
I mean, that's obviously an obvious situation, right?
But what if he was the first read, right?
What if Cam was going to him immediately when his back foot hit on a three-step drop from shotgun or whatever?
and that ball came out immediately and sure,
Garner catches it at five yards past the line of scrimmage and then gets another two.
Now you've got two yards to complete another, you know,
two yards to convert and keep this thing going.
I'm not saying that, you know, slow and low is the move,
but it just seems to be more consistent than the longer developing stuff
and the explosive will then come once the defense starts really coming down
to stop the intermediate routes.
This is the one thing with dayball that I think when you,
you have new coaches come in that had nothing to do with the previous regime and nothing to do
with the previous personnel.
I think sometimes we do see this like they don't necessarily utilize those guys as much
as maybe they should.
And I don't know if that's a, like you said, Brad, we're just trying to get this number four
overall pick, you know, the ball and get him involved involved as much as possible.
Because honestly, I don't think we've seen Elyke-I-O manner like in situations.
this year? Like, we've seen him a little bit, but it's, I don't know. It's almost like Dave
ball's not necessarily using the tools that were here previously. Well, you know, the only thing
we didn't do is with, with Taji Spears out of the lineup nursing the ankle, we didn't use the
running back in the past game like we have in the past. I mean, they did one that, maybe a couple of
instances. I think Tony Pollard caught a screen in the flat trying to really get the ball in his
hand so that way he can do something with it. But for the most part,
We just don't see other than the receivers that much activity when it comes to the other skill positions like tight-in and running back.
Right.
Real quick, what did you guys make of the play calling on the goal line blunder that they had?
Because here's my thing.
The way Tony Pollard was running the football, he should have gotten the ball every time, right?
But instead he gets the one that gets called back because his knee was down before the ball crossed the goal line.
And then he gets the fourth down, right?
The second down was Cam War, the sneak doesn't work.
And then tried throwing it the next time, and he scrambled and was sacked.
Shouldn't the ball go to Tony Pollard every single play on that goal,
fourth and goal or three plays there that they had at the goal line at the one?
Because didn't we have this conversation a few games ago about how it went the opposite way
of like they just gave the ball that I think it was to Tony almost every time.
And like that was that, I can't remember what game that was.
And that obviously didn't work.
But yeah, I mean, he was, he was the hot hand today.
I mean, that's for sure.
Like Tony was finding, you know, finding ways to, whether it was get into the end zone or,
you know, being able to drive down the field.
And so, yeah, I mean, you could say that, Julian.
I think it's unfortunate because it's just like the whole situation with Cam and the two
kind of blundered plays with that too did not help out.
So, yeah, I mean, they could have wanted to.
But then I feel like if that didn't work, we'd be saying the opposite thing.
Guys, we needed a yard.
Yeah.
One yard.
Yeah.
That's not Tony's fault.
That's not Cannes' fault.
That's Dan's fault.
That's Peter's fault.
That's Slottie's fault.
That's Jason's fault.
You got to be able to get push.
Now, admittedly, Jared Verst made one hell of a plate coming from the outside and grabbing Tony right before he started
to launch into the end zone.
He made a great play on that.
But for the most part, guys, you got to get low.
You got to get low and get some push.
On that one where DMR actually motioned, you know, out of the back field to his right,
I thought for sure we were going to get a tush push because that's all we needed was that one yard, right?
But the lines got to get low.
They got to get leverage.
They got to get that one yard to get in the end zone.
I mean, maybe Cam did get in.
I mean, J.C.
certainly thought he did.
Check it.
Review it.
What are you going to say?
Let's go.
look at it you know what I mean but in the end guys that's big boy bot that's big body ball
yeah you know I mean you got to win up front and I mean I guarantee you the offensive line
looking at the film wishes they could have gotten more push and just got a little bit more inertia
a little more movement up front to allow the skill guys to this skill yeah yeah well Peter
Skronsky and J.C. Lathen both share that sentiment Bhop they yeah they say hey it's one yard
we need yeah we got to get it all right we're going to ask answer some questions
and comments from the live viewers that's next year in the Titan Squad show as we rounded out on this Sunday.

All right, guys, I'm sure you saw the play on that final drive, Bhop.
MAB R61 or 6I asks,
what about that Browns Falls start in that last drive,
officiating missed out?
Are you kidding me?
That was bad.
Listen, I get it.
Can't make excuses for a loss.
but in a crucial situation like that,
how do you miss that?
The NFL posted the highlight too,
like, oh, Harold Finn and Big Green.
Bid back.
Isn't that somebody's job
to look at the line scrimmage
and see if somebody goes prematurely?
And if the entire planet can see that,
what was the guy doing that's his job to call that?
Yeah, that was on DeWan Jones.
Obviously, there was enough in the ball game
to where it never, ever comes down to one play, right?
I mean, if we don't turn it over, if we get it on in, in zone and four downs, sure, all these things that could be.
But when you're talking about a tie ballgame and they're driving to basically tie it up or take a field goal or go ahead in the ballgame and win it, that is crucial.
So I see you.
I mean, exactly what you're talking about.
They blew it.
They blew it.
And he also blew the face mask, too, on Cam Ward on the fourth down on the four down, the four attempts at the end zone.
So sure, the officials aren't perfect.
It's like nobody's perfect.
But did they have a huge effect on it?
That was a huge one that they missed 100%.
And it's always like, you know, as a Titans fan, I'm sure like, you know,
they're feeling like, oh, really?
Like they're not going to call it on us.
But if this was the Kansas City Chiefs, like, you know, you're getting the call.
You know, so it does kind of get in your head too because it's just like,
go figure that this would happen on a drive like that.
and then that allows a 36-yard running catch.
It reminds me that Dr. Pepper's commercial, man.
You're talking about, man, the reps.
You know, the guy says, crime your river.
I mean, I get it.
But still, you're like, man, bro, you just, I really wish I could just give it.
Mac, Jesus asks, Bhop, can you speak on how learning to win is different than winning?
Why is it so hard to jail?
Can we speak on how learning to win is different than winning?
Well, first off, learning to win means you haven't won.
So I think that when you're talking about teams that just in their mind know they're going to go out and win a ball game, that's the difference.
It's all mental.
Okay.
The difference is, oh, I hope we win.
I hope we do enough to win, you know, versus, oh, I know we're going to lose.
No, when you know you're a team that has been winning, that's embedded you, man.
You just know whatever.
And I don't care if you're down a touchdown, you might be down two scores.
You're thinking, okay, so what we're going to do now is when we're on the score,
we're going to kick the ball on an on the outside, then we're going to get it again,
and we're going to score again.
Those are things that you think in your mind are definitely going to happen.
It's a mentality, okay?
But just like I've said before, winning and losing are both contagious.
If you're continually losing ball games and you have no reason why you're losing ball games
and he's keeping over and over and over, it's easy to get stuck in that mindset.
And therefore, it's contagious to continue to lose.
But that same thing can be said when no matter what the circumstances are,
you go out there and you say, look, this is my.
game. This is where we shine. I mean, if you think about it, the Browns have won the last five
ball games by less than five points. Okay? Because in the end, they know if it's close, what?
We're going to win. That's the difference between the Browns that we saw last year and the
Browns that we see this year. They've gained that confidence and they've gotten that contagion of
winning more so than anybody in that division and more so than a lot of teams in the AFC period.
Yeah, and Kayla, you've covered this team for years.
You know that the core of this team has experienced a lot of losing over the last couple of seasons.
So it isn't just the young guys.
It's everybody together learning how to win as a team.
It is.
And you know what?
It also makes it hard, though, guys, because you mentioned the core.
Let's be honest, guys.
There's not a ton of guys from the past three, four years that are still on this team.
So there's a couple of them, you know, and then there's guys from the last couple of years.
but this is new guys
and guys that have been here for a while
and are just itching for a win
coming together to find the ways together
to get it done.
Okay.
Let's look at last week when they won the ball game.
When Colts got the ball,
did you not think that the defense was going to make a play?
You just knew they were.
Yeah.
By the way they harassing Daniel Jones on stuff,
you just knew it, didn't you?
Versus, oh, crap, here we go.
They're driving.
I hope somebody makes a play.
No, no, no.
You were confident last week that this team,
because of the way they had been harassing Daniel Jones consistently,
that they were going to make a play.
And they did, okay?
They made enough, got enough turnovers in that ball game to definitely make a win.
That's the point I'm trying to make right there.
You didn't think one, for one instance,
that the Titans front four or the defense was going to do something magnanimous
in that ball game to get the ball back to the offense
and we were going to walk away with the devil.
You just knew it.
that's the difference between winning and losing
and the mindset that comes along with that.
Well, what that said for today, Bihop,
then if you saw the defense
and the way they were playing,
particularly there in the second half,
I know hindsight's 20-20.
Do you go for two there on that touchdown
if you're the Titans?
See, going for two says also
that you don't necessarily think that you're...
And Robert Sale is going to put his defense on the field
and say, go save me this game, win me this game,
what have you. I get it.
But that's...
In the end, though,
But in the end, though, what he still has to do is put it on his defense to get a stop.
Sure.
Well, yeah.
You know what I mean?
Put it this way.
When it was a tie ball game and they got the ball inside a two minute or whatever was and we needed to keep them out of field goal scoring range, that's you putting it on your defense.
Sure.
Okay?
Because a tie ball game, sure, by going to extra minutes, but the way that we tied it up and we're making big plays, who's just say we couldn't have gone on and won the ball game anyway.
And we didn't even win it in regulation, in other words, okay?
What we needed to do is not give up a goddamn field goal.
Yeah.
Well, the Titans are thinking about what could have been after this one.
They fall to 1 and 6 on the season.
What makes it even more disappointing?
A win today would have put them a tie for second in the AFC south.
That's tough pill to swallow.
We'll see if they can bounce back against the Bengals next week on the road.
That one's a noon central kickoff in Cincinnati.
Go ahead.
Before you leave, we've got to say congratulations to our fourth, man.
Oh, yes.
Oh, yes, yes.
