I'm Julian Minnansohn and Raiders, please don't hire Brian Dayball.
I think he'd be the perfect fit for the Titans and I'll tell you why next.
Yeah, and I know a lot of Titans fans are excited, but jobs not finished until Brian
Daibble is official.
I'm Brad Hopkins, Mike Brable and Ernest Jones in the Super Bowl.
How do we feel about that?
Titan up.
It's the Titans squad.
Everything Tennessee Titans every week.
Covering all the big hits and game-changing plays from the heart of Music City.
the way only the locked on podcast network can.
Squad up.
The Titan Squad Show starts now.
And welcome to the Titan Squad Show.
As you heard off the top right there, I'm Julian Minnesone, joined by my friends Tyler
Roland and Brad Hopkins.
We got a jam-pack show for you today.
We're going to discuss what direction we want the Titans to go in with that number four pick
as we get closer and closer to draft day.
We're also going to discuss Mike Brable and him getting to the Super Bowl,
how Tyler and Brad feel about that is two people.
people were deeply invested in this organization.
But of course, we start with the breaking news of the day.
If you want to call it breaking news,
Brian Dable, no longer in the running to be the Bill's head coach as that's given to Joe Brady.
But the job is not done, as Tyler mentioned, for him to be the OC with the Titans,
as he is still waiting to hear if he could be the head coach of the Raiders.
If he does not get that head coaching job in Vegas, he's expected to land with Robert Sala in Nashville.
So, Tyler, I'm going to start with you on this one.
how would you feel about Brian Daible in Tennessee?
Because I know you've been banging the drum for Cliff Kingsbury as well.
Yeah, there seems to be a lot of confusion here.
I always call it the waffles and pancake meme.
It's like if you say that you like pancakes, people immediately go,
oh, so you hate waffles?
No, I actually like both.
I had Mike McDaniel, Cliff Kingsbury, and Brian Daible all in my hype tier.
They're all S-tier hires for the Titans that would be absolute home runs for Robert Sala.
Yes, I prefer Cliff Kingsbury.
I think the scheme fit there, based on what Kingsbury did in college,
the quarterbacks he's had success with are a better fit
than the quarterbacks Brian Daibble has had success with
and the way he likes to run his offense,
which heavily involves quarterback run game,
which is not what Cam Ward is going to be doing.
I think Cliff Kingsbury is a cleaner schematic fit for Cam Ward.
But again, Brian Daibble is still one of my favorite options
and would be an absolute home run and part of my hype tier.
He's somebody who is really driven.
really about the details and the nuances and I think right now
the things that Cam Ward needs to
kind of improve going into year two
Brian Daible would probably be a better development coach
for Cam Ward whereas I think Kingsbury's offensive scheme is more of a cleaner fit
and you could argue
that developing Cam Ward may be more important than whatever scheme
that you putting him and cleaning up his mechanics and him being more consistent
and demanding excellence and that's what Brian Daibble is gonna do so yeah I
I think Cliff Kingsbury is a better option for me, but Brian Dable is a fantastic choice.
And again, would be an absolute home run for Robert Sala.
And when we talked about Sala getting hired, he wants to be the play caller on defense.
He is going to be heavily involved in the defense, the install, the game planning, all of those things.
And it's been reported he wants a CEO-level offensive coach to run the offensive.
Having a guy who's been a former head coach, like McDaniel, like Kingsbury, like Dable, checks that
box. So I feel like, you know, my words always get misconstrued by bad faith actors who just
don't like me personally and want to act like I say stuff that I don't say. I would be over
the moon about Brian Dable, but I'm also going to be honest. I was raised on Aesop's Fables.
That was the Bible in my house. We read Aesop's Fables to learn our moral lessons and you don't
count your chickens until they hatch. So until the Raiders are off the board as an option,
I'm not going to pop a bottle and act like we got our guy because you,
You simply don't know that yet, no matter how likely it may be.
I'm fired up, Brad.
You guys got me in the afternoon now.
I'm warmed up.
I know that's right.
So listen, for me, it's six of one half dozen of another.
Both of these coaches are well qualified to develop young quarterbacks.
There's a track record of that.
But the real question is, how comfortable will Robert Salah be hiring someone that could be looking over his shoulder?
They both have head coaching experience with Kingsbury and Brian Dayball.
I'm not sure how either one of those
or better students do that, but if things start to go south,
what are we start looking around?
Who's the next guy up?
You know, the next guy that can keep things going?
Now, I don't anticipate Maraar Salah having a difficult start here in Tennessee
to where we start questioning the hire
and looking around for maybe some of his assistants to take over.
But when you've got three head coaches essentially on that roster,
if you're talking about either, well, two at least,
if you're talking about Robert Salah and either Brian Dayball or Cliff Kingsbury,
both of those guys are well qualified to because they already have experience at head coaching.
And they've all both three tried it and have failed at some point.
Now, another thing is, how temporary will that be for a Brian Dayball in a Cliff Kingsbury?
Are you going to want to bring a guy in here who all of a sudden does match with Cam Ward
and it's off to the next opportunity because he's now, you know, looking, looked at in a different light?
You know what I mean?
Then the one that got him obviously available for this whole conversation in the first.
place, that could very well happen too. So with those kind of hires, I think it's almost necessary to
have those kind of hires because they have experience and because they have that weight that we
always talked about, even earlier shows about the head coach. Weight meaning you have the ability to
communicate and direct a superstar. You understand? Someone that you have, someone that they have
respect for you because of your play calling the ability, because you're always constantly putting them
in the right position because you have a rapport with them to where they understand.
how to get the most out of their talents, right?
You got to have a guy that's able to do that.
And a lot of those dudes just walking around.
Because if there were, then they'd be on some team right now
going to the Super Bowl themselves.
You know, so that's what we continue to talk about
is when an offensive coordinator has success,
we want to see that success carried to the upper echelon,
meaning controlling the whole franchise.
But then sometimes that's where things get convoluted,
and you're asking him to do way more than just call offense.
And I was going to manage the game,
do all this other junk,
that then sometimes takes him away from his duties at being exclusively focused on running an
offense.
So it's a tricky situation.
But I think either one of those guys will be well qualified to be here in Nashville and
make a huge impression earlier than later.
I just think of Brian Dable and his time during Buffalo, the ability to develop a guy like
Josh Allen, right?
Though Tyler made a great point, though Cam Ward's, you don't think of him as like a running
quarterback.
He has, dable has done that a lot with not only Josh Allen, Daniel Jones, Jackson, Dart.
I know fans clamored for Cam Ward to use his feet a little bit more.
So maybe it won't be the first thing you think about with Cam Ward.
But there is the potential for him to do that, I guess, under a day ball.
I do like the fact that there is a two head coaches with guys with head coaching experience,
rather than coming back from Brian Callahan and then Nicole that you don't have head coaching experience.
So that's a plus on that front. I think when you think a dayball, if you give him the players, as he's proven with Luflow, we can't put the good offense to school together. So I think that's a plus there.
I know. Gradually, he has experience in the technical difficulties right now. But here, Tyler, let me ask you this. If he were to get the head coaching job of the radio, right? If he were to be offered the head coach's job and,
there is a choice to be made if you are a dayball that you could potentially take a Raiders head
coaching job or go with the Titans as their offensive coordinator because I do think there is a
conversation to be had that the Titans taking an OC job may be better than wasting your
second head coaching opportunity on a team that might be a little bit unstable.
No, that's 100% right. Why would you force it? If you don't think the Raiders job is a great job,
you're not going to shoot your last bullet on that.
I think that would be silly,
and I think we're seeing that with a lot of coaches
around the NFL right now.
Look at Mike McDaniel going to the Chargers.
Look at Cliff Kingsbury,
who turned down opportunities
and it's probably going to go be the offensive coordinator
for like the Baltimore Ravens or something like that.
I think we've seen quite a few guys pull out of head coaching opportunities
like Udinski and McDaniel did in Cleveland.
I think coaches are well aware that you know,
you don't get unlimited opportunities.
People who don't have Super Bowl championships don't ever get a third opportunity.
So you might have your last chance to be a head coach in the NFL
and think if you're going to go to Cleveland where they're forcing Jim Schwartz on you,
you're going to go to Arizona where it's a disaster and they have terrible ownership.
You're going to go to Vegas where, hey, maybe these guys don't like Fernando Mendoza
as much as the media is hyping him up.
You know what I mean?
Maybe they do, but maybe they don't.
And Max Crosby isn't happy there.
and there's offensive line issues.
You got the owner, but you also got Tom Brady.
There's a lot of voices in there.
So, yeah, I think it's pretty clear that a lot of coaches around the NFL
are being more selective about when they're going to shoot that final bullet
to give themselves that shot, especially the second-time head coaches like Daible,
like Kingsbury, like McDaniel, because it's probably the last chance you're ever going to get
and wouldn't you rather stay in a good job where the pressure isn't as high on you?
You can develop on offense.
And think about Brian Daibel.
I've made this joke before on the show, but like if the time,
Titans have a league average offense.
If they're 15th in scoring this year
and Cam Ward throws for 3,800 yards,
like they're going to make a statue for Brian Daible
outside of the new stadium in Nashville.
Isn't that a better way to go?
And then you can wait and see,
hey, when do I want to take my next opportunity?
I want to make sure it's the right fit.
So it makes a ton of sense
that these guys are making that decision
and the Titans are smart to take advantage of that kind of market.
This is an absolutely fantastic move by them,
even though, like Brad mentioned,
that you're having two guys who have been in control before,
but I think Robert Sala wants that sort of leadership
on the offensive side of the ball.
So again, I think it's just, it's fantastic,
but we need to see it official.
And the Raiders, they're being rumored to be interested in Clint Kubiak,
the offensive coordinator from the Seattle Seahawks.
Well, they're not going to be able to have an in-person interview with him
until February 9th, which is all the way after the Super Bowl.
So it's like, you know, the Titans could be waiting a while here
before we get that official confirmation.
And again, I'm not counting my chickens until the Super Bowl.
I hatch. Bhop, I was just asking Tyler about the fact that let's say the hypothetical that
Brian Daibel gets offered the Raiders job and let's see he takes a night to think about it.
If you're the Titans giving that one final push to Daible, what do you, I guess what's the pitch
to him for the potential of taking an offensive coordinator job rather than passing up a head
coaching job, which could be his second and final chance in an unstable situation.
That I think is his priority. I honestly think he sees himself as a head coach. It didn't work out
in New York, but it doesn't mean he doesn't feel in his heart of hearts that he has the
ability to coach at the highest level, being a head coach, right? So that's going to always be
in his back of his mind. Even if he takes this job now and he's here for a couple of years,
his sights will always be set on being in control again because he's got a thirst for it.
And I think he really likes it. It's not like Mike McDaniel, who went ahead and started working
with Justin Herbert, even his been thrown in the hat of other head coaching jobs. He said,
No, I'm good. You can take my name off of any other list.
I'm cool hanging out here in LA with Justin Herbert and John Harbaugh.
It's going to be a crazy symbiotic situation.
You know, you've got khaki pants and the mad genius.
This could be ridiculous for the Chargers.
But I don't think Brian Dayball is in that camp.
I think Brian Dayball thinks, you know, hey, at the end of the day, Robert Salah,
you and I have a great relationship, but I can do your job.
And I will at some point be able to do that.
But it does send a, you know, it shows value if you can take a first,
franchise who's had the worst offense, if not one of the worst offenses,
international football league, and you make them relevant.
I mean, look at goodness gracious.
Look at what Vrable did.
Brable didn't even do it.
That's another thing.
Head coaches are only as good as their hires, fellas.
Yep.
Think about that.
Of course, telling this one thing, be able to coach up great guys.
It sure would be great if you had a bunch of all pros up and down your roster, right?
That's probably guarantees you a little more success.
but the guys are in position to oversee those,
I hate using the word overseer for obvious reasons,
but those people that oversee those different positions,
those are super important, right?
Because at the end of the day,
you very rarely see a head coach going into a lot of talking about technique,
then going into the secondary talking about your coverage technique,
then going into the quarterback room and doing all that,
and then going all over the place in all these different positions
than having an influence,
because it's about the guys that you hire to call players on offense,
call players on defense,
and to coach your guys up that matter the most.
Brian DeBall, his situation here will be temporary regardless
because he does feel that he's going to be a head coach again in this league.
It just might not be this year, might not be in 2027,
but at the end of the day, fellas, know that he will be gone soon enough.
I'm not going to say it's before Cam Ward's first rookie deal is done,
but he will be a head coach someplace else,
especially if the Titans get better.
If the Titans get better, they're going to look at him and say,
look where this offense was when he got it,
look where it's at right now,
and he's already got hit coaching experience from him.
there's giant days, even though it was dysfunctional didn't work.
We saw him work with Josh Allen and created a beast up there in Buffalo.
The guy can coach and he'll get another job soon.
Hey, can I just say I'm not afraid of that success?
Like, yes, that is going to be a hurdle.
But God, wouldn't it be a good hurdle for them to get over?
I mean, wouldn't it be nice if the Titans offense did so well
and the team did so well that someone wanted to hire Brian Dable?
You're right, that's certainly a hurdle that will come up eventually, hopefully.
But like, it's a hurdle that I'm willing to get to, man.
Let's try that one more time, you know?
Those couple of years of Art Smith were good.
This is what's going down, Tyler.
Look, Brian Dayball will come in here.
He will turn Cam Ward around.
By 2027, when people start walking through the turn gate at the brand new stadium,
this team of one of the goddamn Super Bowl, I promise you.
This is the way it's going to work out.
The excitement and the energy that is going to take place when a new building opens up.
Look, I was coming down 24 into downtown from Hendersonville.
I was down international.
You know what I'm talking about.
When I looked at that beautiful stadium being built all,
off to the left of the entire skyline, it looked amazing and it made National look massive.
So there's going to be people that want to just experience that newness.
And that ambiance right there is going to, it's going to translate into those players playing harder,
playing with more energy.
And when they start having success, really tap in.
And so when Brian Dayball will leave.
After the Super Bowl, he'll get his head coaching job someplace else.
Right after he leads us to the second Super Bowl of this franchise that's ever been to.
Fire me up, Brad Hopkins.
I'm ready to go! Let's go! That's a great end.
They're going to get New Jersey's this year,
lean into the Oilers' colors, the best colors team in the entire NFL.
Not only that, but you guys want to get even more excited?
According to Jerry, I don't know who you are, Jerry,
but he was on the radio in local Nashville here just a little bit ago.
He's in my comment section right now on Twitter.
Jerry was on a plane with Brian Dable from Vegas to Nashville.
So Brian Dable is in Nashville as we stand.
speak, ladies and gentlemen, which hopefully is to come in and sign a deal and pull out of the
Las Vegas Raiders job entirely. Let's hope. Yeah, certainly. And to your guys' point,
the alternative. He's sitting on Jerry. Shout out to Jerry for that one. Shout out to Jerry.
And to your guys' point, if a team is not poaching your guy, probably means it's not worth
poaching to begin with. So that would be a good sign for the Titans as they are kind of in
this holding pattern and waiting to see if Brian Dable chooses to be the OC here in Nashville.
Brad mentioned Mike Brable.
We're going to talk about him on the other side,
how Tyler and Behop feel about the Titans former coach going to the Super Bowl.
That's next year on the Titan Squad Show.
Hey, it's Matt Derry from the Lockdown Lions podcast.

All right, fellas.
So we all saw what happened this past weekend Patriots winning the AFC.
Mike Rable holding up the trophy as he is heading to the Super Bowl in his first season in
New England.
I wanted to ask you guys, Tyler, as not only an analyst, but a fan and B-Hop, somebody,
who spent years and years and years with the organization who's deeply invested in it.
How do you guys feel about the former head coach going to a Super Bowl in this first season there in New England?
Well, I mean, my opinion seems to be controversial to some, but I don't really care.
I want him to lose.
I don't want my wife to cheat on me, and then I have to divorce her,
and then she goes and gets with the smartest, richest, best-looking guy in town.
Why would I want that?
Like, be realistic.
A lot of people out here are just trying to act like, in my opinion, it's a front.
It's an act for them to not confront the sadness that they feel.
Oh, I want Vrable to win.
I want Amy to feel embarrassment for letting Vrable go.
Oh, I don't care.
Why are we even talking about it?
Let's move on.
Why are we even talking about Brabel anymore?
You're sad, you're hurt.
This sucks and you won't admit it.
No, I don't want this dude to go win the championship away from the Titans again.
To me, it's like your wife cheating on you.
So you have to divorce her because she cheated on you.
And now you're like, yeah, I'm happy for her.
I hope she's happy moving forward.
Like, I'm sorry, that sounds good, but that's nonsense.
Nobody thinks like that.
I don't buy it.
I don't want them to win.
I hope they lose.
And we all know that they just had the easiest path to a Super Bowl in NFL history.
Drake May has played the worst quarterback game we have ever seen in the playoffs and gotten to a Super Bowl.
I could read all stats if you want me to prove it.
He's worse than Trent Dilfer was when Dilfer took the Ravens to the Super Bowl.
Drake May's been a disaster.
No, I don't want the Patriots to win.
screw Mike Vrable, that's what I got to say.
Wow.
I just don't think that the situation happened like that, Tyler.
I think it was one of those things where you looked at your wife and you said,
hey, it's not you, sweetheart, it's me.
I need to find something else to do.
I need to be happier in life.
He didn't cheat on her.
He went to New England in week six.
Man, he went to New England in week six with Robert Kraft and sat up there in the press box
and they playing this whole thing out.
In other words, I thought that, I don't think that Mike Brable stepped down.
I thought he was fired.
I thought he was showing the door.
If he were up to Mike Brable, would he still be the head coach here, Tennessee?
I think so if he were up to Mike Brayle.
I don't.
He would have gone to New England one way or another.
He wasn't looking at green or green.
I don't think he was looking at.
I think that if he had the ability to build a champion in Nashville, I think he would have done it.
I think he wouldn't have stopped in Houston.
I don't think he would have stopped at the other stops.
He stopped that before he actually got here to Tennessee to become the head coach.
if he was angling to be in New England, he was already on the staff.
Just stay there.
You know, don't go anywhere else.
Just wait to your time is right.
And then you submit your name and you had always coached for them.
But it wasn't the case.
He went to other places.
Had he had success in Houston, you didn't get to the left?
No.
Had he had success here as far as going to a Super Bowl, he wouldn't have left.
No.
Not just because of the lure of playing for and being one of the only people to ever win a Super Bowl with that franchise as a player.
And then come back and win the Super Bowl as a head coach.
That's never been done before.
And I hope for history's sake that it happens.
I like to do one, because one, I played against him.
So I like seeing players that were on the field at the same time that I am,
go on to the next phase in life and have that kind of success.
I really root that on for him.
But also the way that it seems great players and coaches come here,
for whatever reason, things just don't work.
And next thing you know, they go on and have success someplace else.
I threw Ernest Jones's name.
out their touchee. I mean, I don't have to mention the big dogs like Derek Henry and
AJ Brown, right? But now we got Mike Brable. He's named thrown into that head of coaches
that were here at some point in time, but whatever reason, shit wasn't working. They go on someplace
else, and now they're in the grandest stage. It's just the newness of an atmosphere, maybe.
Maybe it's just a new confidence that the new people that are surrounding you have in you,
that bring out the best, the support that obviously wasn't there for you when you left.
You know what I mean? There are a lot of people that.
that were agreeing with Amy and ran or whoever else fired a brable and saying,
yeah, it's time for him to go.
Now I wonder what those people are saying.
The ones that said he should have been fired years ago, I'd like to hear from you.
Where are you now?
I was wrong.
There you go, Brad.
It's me.
I'll tell you.
I was wrong.
I was wrong.
We were all wrong.
They should not have fired him.
It was a massive mistake.
It ruined the franchise.
It was a crazy mistake.
No doubt about it.
But damn, I don't want to see him go out and get someone better just because I was wrong.
Not a chance. I'm the petty king, baby. No way.
Yeah, well, I'll let you have that because at least you said you were wrong,
which that's probably better than what most people said at that point.
Yeah, I mean, I can admit when I'm wrong all the time.
And here's the thing, outside of Mike Vrable,
how in the world would any NFL fan want to see the freaking Patriots win another Super Bowl?
I don't even care if it's Mike Vrable or not.
Haven't they had enough?
Why would you want to see the Patriots win again,
whether it's for Mike Vrable or not, that's insanity to me.
Like, how could anybody around our age want to see the Patriots win another championship,
whether it's Vrable or not?
That alone is sacrilegious, in my opinion.
We have some Titans fans in the chat here already giving their two cents.
Will Comer put, as a big Titans fan, I'm just not okay with this.
I have never liked the Patriots, but really after AJ, then this,
I'm mad all the way around, ownership, GM, etc.
And he went on to say, I'm probably not going to watch.
the Super Bowl now.
So I don't know about that.
I mean, it's a big sporting event.
I will say this, guys, as two guys like yourself who are deeply invested in this organization, right?
As a voice of reason here, I think the Vrable thing, at least prove that if you get the right
higher in place, you can turn things around rather quickly.
And it's not just Mike Vrable, right?
I mean, it's Ben Johnson and what he did with Chicago this year.
It's Liam Cohen in Jacksonville.
And I don't think particularly, I thought the AFC South was a little bit better than maybe we had anticipated with two teams getting to the postseason.
But I don't think the gap is necessarily as big as, let's say with Arizona, the hill they have to climb in the NFC West to get back into it against those three Super Bowl contenders.
And so that's what makes this solid thing and all his hires and the people underneath them so important because you set yourself, you're set this franchise back even further if you don't.
get this right. But it can be done. Yeah, I think that first off, I just think, you know how
when you're a chef in the kitchen and Tyler, you like cooking, right? I do. Just adding the
wrong ingredient can really jack up the taste candy. It can even jack up how the ditch even looks.
You know what I mean? As far as, you know, the presentation can look like undercooked or
overcooked or just be whatever. So it's almost like you have to find the perfect recipe and
follow that ingredient to the letter to make an unbelievable dish. And that's what it takes to have
a successful season. I think Robert Salah is a terrific ingredient. I think that he has had experience
now in the kitchen that allows him to kind of take a purview of the entire landscape to say
what fits best for what his what his task is ahead of him. He has to get an offense a hundred
times better than it was for last season. He has to corral and focus a defense. A lot of talent.
but needs direction.
He's got to then also fill in those holes
that happen naturally every single year.
So as long as he understands that cookbook
and what it takes to put together that perfect dish,
I don't think he'll have any problem getting in that kitchen
and making a wonderful meal
for all the Titans fans to partake in.
Let me ask you guys this then,
with Robert Salah's upcoming first introductory press conference
on the horizon,
what's something you want to hear from him
as he is speaking not only to the media,
the fans for the first time since being hired as Tennessee Titans head coach.
Is there anything that you want to glean from it?
You know, Julian, I got to tell you, I said something about this on Twitter yesterday.
I get the level of excitement, but what's he going to say?
Hey, I'm running this defense.
We're going to do this with our scheme.
Hey, guys, I'm telling you now, we're going after this guy in free agency.
We're going to draft Rubin Bain at number of, he ain't going to say nothing.
He's going to say the same thing that every other head coach in NFL history says,
hey I want to get this team better
we're focused on developing the players
we need to win more games
I'm going to do everything in my power to turn this thing around
he's just going to say a bunch of coach speak nonsense
that doesn't matter at all
and people can get fired up off of it
and you know it's all motivational and this and that
but ultimately it doesn't mean crap
no matter what he says at that press conference
he's going to have to win football games out on the field
so you know I'm going to cover the press conference
like we all are going to pay attention to it
because that's our job that's what we do
you know what I mean?
And like, I just hope he doesn't do anything embarrassing.
But on that note, everybody was clowning on Liam Cohen last year because he said,
Duval like a moron at the press conference.
And everybody was laughing at him.
And then the Jacks come out and win the freaking division.
So like, it doesn't matter what he says at the press conference.
He's not going to tell us anything that actually is actionable going forward.
He's not going to say anything.
It's aura farming.
That's all it is.
He's just going to create hype comments that are going to get people excited.
but ultimately don't freaking matter.
He's got to go win football games.
All that matters is what happens on the field.
And he's not gonna tell us any inside information
that would expose what their plan actually is.
It's just gonna be a bunch of generic nonsense
that's good for PR and that can be put out on the Titan social media site.
So it's like my excitement level for it is very minimal
and everybody getting mad about it.
I see a lot of Titans media members like,
oh, this is a ridiculous wait.
Why?
What changes that he's doing it on Thursday
instead of Saturday or he's doing it on Thursday instead of Monday.
He had a family obligation, a massive snowstorm hit the east coast of the country.
Like, why are media people mad that the interview is on Thursday?
Like, what difference does that make?
It's all insanity to me.
Because they've got stories to write.
Because they have things that they need to tell the public and the fans.
And what makes it easier than him hauling around about the fact that Robert Sala is the coach,
and we have nothing to go by to what he sounds like.
Thing is, you got to win the press conference.
As meaningless as it actually is, and you're right,
as court, as rehearsed and whatever else as the coach may be,
you can't get up at that podium, Tyler, and lose the press conference.
If you get up there and say some stupid stuff,
you get up there and don't sound confident,
you get up there to sound bewildered,
if you get up there and sound like you don't have a plan,
people are going to pick up on that stuff.
And that's why they want the press conference to happen,
because they want to read his body language,
They want to hear the dialogue that comes out of his mouth.
They want to hear some sort of direction.
They want to hear maybe even a little more so of a game plan.
Okay, we don't need to know what his style is because we know what kind of success he's had,
doing things his way.
But at the end of the day, the reason why we want him to have spoken so much is because
we want to be able to size him up into what he's going to look like as the head coach of Tennessee
Titans.
And how do you size him up?
Listening to what his thoughts are about the job that he has in front of him.
Listen to what he's saying about the players he has to coach.
Does he sound like somebody that's ready to just get after it?
He's excited or is he like, man, I sure hope we do some things.
You know what I mean?
No, you want to, like you said, you want to be energized.
You want someone to be like, want you to run through a wall as a fan.
I need you to swipe that debit card and go in there, buy, bye, buy, spend, spend,
and I'm not going to do that by standing at the podium being all bored.
Like, this is what they say, I should say,
because this is what the head coach of it always says at the podium whenever you get a job.
No, you want him to be like, bam!
This is some time.
baby we're about to wrap the shop me and jeffre simmons and two hundred show about to get these cops whoa we're about to get after it that's what you wanted to say right because you want him just like hell i'm about to get on the titan's website right now and buy me some tickets what are they $10,000 for the nosebleed I'm in you see what I'm saying that's what you need that head coach to do he's got to get in there win the press conference the media they want something to go by they need to hear what Robert Sala sounds like talking Titan stuff not niner stuff or jet stuff they want to hear what it talks like what he sounds like
now. I need to have a reason to tune into this franchise. The newness, I need to tap in.
But you're going to be the reason why I tap in, Robert Sala. So what you got to say,
big dog? That was great, Brad. That was great.
Bravo, Brad. Get this man the Oscar. That was one. That was one. What a rant right there.
We need to clip that up. I get what you're saying. I just, you know,
Liam Cohen didn't win the press conference and he led them to a division. But on the other hand,
Jonathan Gannon lost the press conference when he got hired by Arizona and that didn't work out.
So I guess there are examples of both happening.
I just, me personally, I do have stuff to talk about.
I don't need him to do a press conference for me to have good content that gets people interested.
So I think if you need that to write good articles that people care about,
then maybe you're not very good at your job in the first place.
It will also be interesting if, as Tyler mentioned in our earlier segment,
if this OC, you know, Brian Davill sweepstakes keeps dragging on, which it could.
The Raiders are in no hurry.
It would be interesting to see his backup plan if he doesn't have an offensive coordinator
in place right there potentially too.
So we're going to wait on the Robert Salaf Press conference later this week.
On the other side of the break, the draft is still a little over three months away,
two and a half months away.
We're going to talk about what the Titans want to do, what we prefer they do at least with
the number four overall pick.
based on the Robert Sala hire and other factors.

All right, fellas, we're still a little bit of ways from the draft in April, but the Titans obviously have the number four picks.
So I want to ask you guys, if you are Mike Borgonzi's shoes, knowing that you just hired Robert Sala as a head coach,
what do you prefer the Titans go with the number four pick?
Do you prefer offense?
Do you prefer defense?
You prefer to trade back.
You can give specific draft picks if you would want some players' names.
You could throw them out there or just even philosophy.
What's your guys' preference on that?
Go ahead, Brad.
You know, I look at a lot of draft boards.
Thank you.
I look at a lot of draft boards.
And by and large, you hear the same player's name come up because they recognize the need as being the same.
But there are a lot of different needs out there that writers say that the Titans need.
So you've got to ask yourself this one question.
What would make this team better?
And you rank them chronologically or rank them basically at a level of importance.
Maybe there's protection.
Maybe it's coverage.
Maybe it's pass rush.
Obviously, those are the three huge big things because obviously in football, football is about what?
Stopping the run, getting to the quarterback.
That's football, period.
So how do you do those two basic things that allow you to have success?
Well, stopping the run means that you're basically taking away a team's ability to easily kind of get yards because they can run the football effectively.
How do you do that?
I think that Defer Simmons and Tevander's Sweat have pretty much shorn up the interior.
What about the outside?
do we have enough outside ability to make sure that teams can't run, get to the edge,
and have guys that can play sideline to sideline.
The next thing would be, obviously, that's stopping to run, getting to the quarterback
because you've stopped their run now, right?
So now the quarterback is now the issue.
How am I able to get to the quarterback?
Is it because I'm manufacturing scheme?
Because I don't have just talented dudes that just line up and require double teams and can whip people?
I think that that's the next thing.
So for me, it's David Bailey.
He's a defensive in for Texas Tech.
Now, he's ranked number four by ESPN right now.
I had 14 and a half sacks last year, nine years before, seven years before that.
So he's incrementally gotten better, right?
But what he reminds me of are shades of a guy like a Willie Anderson, like a Michael Parsons.
Someone that's disrupted from the outside that in a lot of mismatches,
sometimes they're going to be blocking up against tight ends and running backs.
That's an easy win for us, especially when you talk about an interior of the defense
that requires attention as well.
You can't just have two dudes flying out there on the edges
because you've got some dude out there that's just now come,
like the new Jared verse, right, from Florida State,
the one that's out there in L.A.
We need a guy like that, in my opinion.
Protection, if a guy's available through free agency fellas, he sucks.
He's just not very good because protection's a premium.
And if you've got guys that are really good of protection,
you usually pay through the nose to keep that guy
because he keeps your quarterback happy and healthy and upright and being effective, right?
So if we've shown that up, then we don't need to necessarily look for another tackle,
but I'm not saying they were too solid there.
I'll give J.C. Latham another year because it'll be his second year at the same position of right tackle, right?
Just his third year in the league, and there's still growth there.
But if I'm going to be thinking also protection is an issue, I'll draft me a left tackle that I can make.
Look on the list of left tackles that are coming out in the draft this year and see if any of them makes sense to take with the fourth pick,
you've got your guy. If none of those guys match up to a fourth round pick to a fourth pick of the
draft, then there's no sense in driving the left tackle because they're not going to live up to that
standard. So to me, I have to look at the draft board and see if a guy is worthy of going
taking that fourth pick with at offensive line. If not, take David Bailey, the defensive end from
Texas Tech. I'll be honest with you. I think the offensive line discussion in the first round is
a complete wasted time. Look, J.C. Latham's going into year three. They just gave Danmore an $80 million
contract. They ain't going anywhere. You got Skoronsky. There's no reason to cut Lloyd Cushingberry.
You're only going to save $3 million. It's not really going to save you all that much money.
And you'd have $9 million in dead cap. They're just not going to do that.
They're going to go out in free agency and get a value veteran to play right guard, just like
they did with Kevin Zitler. They're going to hope for internal development of Jackson Slater
that maybe he can compete and take that spot, the sixth round pick from last year.
They're not going to take an offensive line in the first round. And quite frankly, Spencer Fano,
Francis Mawaga, I don't really think those guys are worth the fourth overall pick anyway.
Now, Brad, I'm with you on Edge.
I think Edge is the place to go.
I think that's where the value and the talent in this draft match up for the number four overall pick.
You have Ruben Bain, you have Arvel Reese, which everybody says to me,
Arvel Reese, why would they take a linebacker?
He's going to play Edge in the NFL, just like Abdul Carter, just like Micah Parsons,
just like Hassan Reddick.
These guys were off-ball linebackers in college who moved to the Edge when they got into the NFL.
and they still have versatility to line up all over the formation
and be effective in different spots,
but they're going to be somebody who primarily rushes the passer.
For me personally, Arvel Reese is my top guy,
and it's not Buckeye biased because I'm from Ohio,
because I don't like Carnell Tate as much of all Titans fans does.
So if I was biased to Buckeyes,
why would I hate on Carnell Tate all the time
and then love Arvel Reese,
nonsense narrative again by bad faith actors
who just simply don't like me.
But I think Rubin Vane is the best possible fit
for Robert Salas defense,
because he is a big physical edge.
As we talked about when the Titans played San Francisco
and if you go back and look at the New York Jets defense,
Robert Sala is willing to concede some rushing yards
to keep his four-man fronts wide.
All right, he does not load up the line of scrimmage
with a bunch of bodies and get downhill with his linebackers like that.
He has very strict adherence to four-man fronts.
And the Titans ran for over 100 yards against San Francisco
because Robert Sala is not going to move off of what he believes as a defensive coach.
And if you're only going to have four guys on the line of scrimmage
and you refuse to put a fifth or a sixth guy on there to close things up,
your edges have to play well against the run.
It is critical because they are not going to get much help from the second level outside.
They have to be able to set a firm edge and push it back inside
to the run and chase linebackers that Robert Sala works so well with.
Ruben Bain, 270, 280 pounds, physical.
dominant. He looks like a grown a man out there on the field.
And when he takes off his helmet, that guy looks older than I am.
And he's 14 years younger than me.
Like that's a grown man right there who fits perfectly as an edge in Robert Salas defense.
I like David Bailey. Brad, he's my number three edge rusher behind Reese and Bain.
And the reality is one of Reese or Bain is going to be gone.
And maybe both are going to be gone by the time it gets to number four.
And if both of them are gone and the Titans take David Bailey,
I'm all for it, but he is a little lighter in the caboose.
That butt, those legs aren't very thick.
I want to see him put on some more weight.
And he was a designated pass rusher before he got to Texas Tech.
Like, they didn't even use him on rundowns because he's not very good against the run.
He got better in his final year against Texas Tech.
And I think you could argue that he can continue to improve.
But I think Bain is a perfect hand and glove fit.
And if Bain and Reese aren't there, I'm fully happy with David Bailey at number four as well.
Although I will say, if Bain and Reese are off the board,
I would prefer wide receiver Jordan Tyson from Arizona State over David Bailey,
but I'd still be very happy with Bailey at 4 because the need at the edge is so, so bad for this team.
You can't, you know, look down your nose at that selection.
Molded by the dark where are you on.
Exactly, exactly, man.
We got Cam Ward as the Batman on one side.
We can get Bain on the other side.
It's perfect.
No, Bain beat the piss out of bad man.
You remember that, so.
I do.
I do.
A, Bain may do it to Cam and practice, too.
You never know, but you're right.
He broke his body and his mind.
Man, I'm with you, Tyler, on the Bain thing.
I just feel like if he's up there with Devandre sweat and Jeffrey Simmons.
So physical.
With a Robert solid defense, which has been good, not just with the diners,
but great on those really bad Jets teams, too, that he was the head coach of.
You think of Bain getting nine and a half.
sacks this year and single not single handedly but being the leader of a defense that went to
the national championship game and put their put that team in position to beat an undefeated
Indiana team at the end right I mean that dude was a monster in the championship game as well now
I will say this I if you do think Jordan Tyson or carnell Tate is an absolute star right if you're
Mike Morgonzi sitting there and one of those dudes is a true number one wide receiver it might be
hard to pass that up considering you don't have that right now. I don't know about you guys,
but I don't think at their best, Elek or Chim, are going to be a number one receiver. And I don't
think signing a Joanne Jennings, though he might be the number one on the Titans, would be a
number one wide receiver when you're looking at a big picture part of the league as well.
No, I think you're 100% right there. But here's, go ahead, Brad.
Well, just real quick, the notes I had on were actually a wide receiver.
El Cuyamana had an incredible rookie season, right?
Four touchdowns, spectacular catches.
But he didn't leave the team receiving.
Receiving.
And it's not that it's a bad thing because we've seen other systems where the tight end
was just the go-to guy like about Andrews or the guy from Arizona that was at Eagles.
Let me hear.
Anyway,
sometimes tight-ins do actually lead the offense, right, in receiving.
Oh, Dallas-Cobber.
I just think that he, Cam Ward didn't have the luxury.
Yeah, that's it.
Or Trey McBride.
Sorry, you said Arizona.
Having like, it was Trey.
That's who it was.
Yeah, yeah.
But the point I'm trying to make is that Cam Ward doesn't have,
hasn't had the luxury of a just a ringer at X.
You know what I'm talking about like Calvin Ridley at his best.
like DeAndre Hopkins when he first came out.
He was Houston Texan days, that kind of guy.
He hasn't had that, right?
Or if you want to look young in the draft, like a Tetrao-McMillan,
you know, that kind of dude.
If Cam had a guy like that, you know,
that could be a difference maker too for the explosive plays.
So I'm with you on that, Julian.
I see where you're going as far as giving Cam Ward some weapons.
Because to me, that really would be exciting to watch.
But I just think you still got to win the line of scrimmage at first.
Then the skill players, that's just a cherry on the,
top. You know what I mean? When you're dominating up front, whether it's defensively or
offensively, when I'm saying you're dominating, when you're taking over the game, think about
that. If your defensive line takes over the gains, that means, that means you shut down that
offense. There's nothing that you do. If your offensive lines taking over the game, what does that mean?
That means they're mowing down the defense. So you want both sides of the scrimmage,
lines to dominate and everything else falls in place after that. No, you're 100% right,
Brad. And look, I think one other thing we have to mention here, Julian, when we're talking about,
you know, the wide receiver conversation.
The Titans don't only have one pick.
Like people always say to me,
how can the Titans pass on wide receiver?
Well, there are seven rounds in the draft,
and they have nine picks.
You know, it's not like the only addition
you can make in the draft is your first round pick.
And in my opinion, the value at wide receiver
in the second round is better than the value of edge in the second round.
I would rather go edge first
and follow that up with a very high pick in the second round,
wide receiver there.
Think about, you know, a Chris Brasel from,
Tennessee or Jeremy Bernard from Alabama or David Boston or an Omar Cooper, Elijah
Chirot from Indiana. Like there are a ton of options out there. So if you're worried about
Jordan Tyson's injury history, if you're worried about Carnell Tate's lack of yak and
never being a true number one on his team, if you're worried about Mackay Lemon being a little
bit of a smaller guy, you know, then go ahead and get somebody in the second round where you're
going to have value there as well. So to me, it's not just about what makes sense with the number
four pick. It's looking at where can we extract the most value with all of the
picks that we have available. Like if the Titans came out and got Rubin Bain,
got Chris Johnson, the cornerback out of San Diego State, and got Zachariah Branch,
the yak threat out of Georgia. Like that would be an elite three pick sequence for them,
even though they didn't use a first-round pick on a wide receiver. Like, that's not the only way
to solve this problem. And the reality is they're not going to get a superstar at every single
position of need in one off season. It doesn't work like that. And the last time they tried to do that,
they traded for Sneed and they paid a bunch to Ridley. And it didn't work. So like some of these
problems are not going to be fully solved for the long term in this one off season. So make
sure you get the most value possible. And in my opinion, there's more value at going edge one,
wide receiver two or three than there is going wide receiver at pick number four.
It is a deep wide receiver draft. That is for sure. Now, on the other,
other side of the break. We have a number of questions in our chat. We're going to do our best to
answer them in the Titans. Talk on our final segment here on Locked on Titans in the Squad

questions that have been going on in our chat right now. There was one earlier. Let me go scroll to
find it for you guys. They were basically asking how do you prefer the Titans spend their
$100 million in cap space in free agency? Do you guys have a preference of where you guys,
the Titans, I would take that money. I'll look to give credit to our viewer here in a second.
Wisely, that's how I want them to spend it. Wisely. Listen, I think the reality is like Brad talked about
earlier and it's a very sage point and Brad knows well from being in the business.
Most of the guys who get to free agency are going to get overpaid because why did they get
to free agency? Because their team didn't want them and in the NFL teams don't let great
players go. They trade them if they don't want them and get value for them because they're
valuable or they don't need them so they let them go to free agency. Look I think that there are
some areas where the Titans need to spend in free agency. I'd like to see them go out and get a
veteran right guard to plug that hole because
you can't play around with the offensive line.
And I think they have to go out and get at least one or two veterans at cornerback.
We could talk about edge and wide receiver,
but cornerback is the biggest hole that this team has on the roster.
I mean, name a cornerback the Titans have.
Darrell Baker, Marcus Harris, the rookie who had a knee injury that knocked him out at the end of the season.
I think that Marcus Harris is sixth-round rookie from last year
can be the starting nickel, but they don't have any outside cornerbacks
that are starting level right now.
And I think Robert Salo runs a zone-heavy scheme,
a ton of cover three and a ton of cover four.
Think basically a modern version
of the Legion of Boom Seattle Seahawks.
That's where Robert Sala came from.
That's who he grew up under
is that sort of Legion of Boom,
Seattle Seahawks defense,
heavy in zone coverage.
So the Titans need long corners
that can press and then drop off into zone
on the outside.
So I think a guy like Tyreek Woolen
who just made the stupid taunting play
for Seattle in the game
and everyone's going to focus on that.
But that guy's a very good player.
He's 6'3, great athlete, makes plays on the ball.
Alante Taylor, who had a great game against the Titans when they played from the New Orleans Saints.
I think at 6-1-200, former Tennessee Evolve, he would make a ton of sense for the Titans.
I think if the Titans make one big splash deal in free agency, it's going to be a cornerback,
not edge, not wide receiver.
Yeah, I think I'd have to almost go.
You have to go the places that are hardest to develop.
And you know what those are by what you have as a staff.
If I've got the best offensive line coach in the game,
I'm not going to mind getting a young guy because I know that he's going to make him into a monster, right?
Just like Jim Washburn used to do.
He was the one that made the freak.
He's the one that made the one that made the monster's defensive line.
And you put that guy, you put one player in that guy's hands,
and you're going to get a wringer out of him.
Versus somebody that struggles, maybe somebody that just got elevated that position,
is not really in control, probably going to end up listening more than what the player says.
versus giving them direction and focus, you know what you have as far as the ability to coach up players.
And it only makes sense if you don't have a coach that is able to bring out the best in them,
get somebody that can do it themselves.
You don't spend that money.
So corner is a huge part.
Being able to take away an offense's best weapon.
That's awesome.
It's a great situation to have.
If you're not going to go into draft and get yourself an edge rusher,
look around through the restricted free agents, make an offer to somebody.
you know what I mean obviously they're restricted and they're about to be free agent and if that team feels that hey he's worth going ahead and extending an offer and extending his contract versus letting your ass go then you can see you've got somebody you know what I mean so you can do your external scouting and see if there's players out there that fit that bill but you've got to be able to stroke the check for quality that's the way this works you know me you can't have acid on on the materials because at the end of the day it'll wear out way faster than it's supposed to and you'll be back in the same situation.
looking for another piece of furniture. So you got to go and get that oak, that thickly built
stuff, that's that's durable. It's going to stay in the test of time. It ain't going anywhere.
That's the same with my bedroom furniture. I've got my, I've had my bedroom furniture since 2005.
You know why? Because I spent thousands of dollars on this oak. It ain't going anywhere.
Whenever I think about getting rid of it, I'm not going to spend thousands more on some new
stuff. Why? Because that old stuff, it still looks great, man. You know what I mean? It's durable.
And I love it. You see what I'm saying? I'm not going to go to rooms to go and get me a
You know why?
Because I'll be back to the room to go
But next year, I'm a big dude.
You know what I mean?
I jump in that bed a couple times
I'm going to be on the floor.
So I'm not trying to have that happen.
You got to buy the stuff that works.
You know, the stuff that you can jump in there
because you're tired.
And I have to worry about the box ring on the floor
because you don't went through the dang, the whole thing.
Hey, no free shoutouts,
but Brad, you got to get you a sleep number, man.
I sleep like a baby.
Uh-uh, screw a sleep number.
I've done that too.
Done sleep number, done temporee, done all that stuff, man.
I don't even know the mattress
that my wife bought that we got.
But I tell you what, sometimes, I wake up in the morning saying,
where have you been my entire life?
Because I sleep so good. I don't even know what kind of mattresses it is.
I would give it a shameless plug, but I can't right now.
But it ain't a damn temperate and it ain't one of those sleep number beds.
Neither one of them.
Brad talking about that oak.
He's got many leatherbound books and rich mahogany and all that stuff.
Let me ask you guys this.
We talked about, because I know his name has been thrown around just because he's a Murphy's Bro native is Joanne Jennings.
But is he too similar to somebody like an Elykeyeh manner, like a big physical receiver to where that kind of,
you have kind of too much of the same thing rather than a true number one?
I just think Joanne Jennings is Nick Westbrook Aqueney with Kyle Shanahan.
Like if Nick Westbrook Akekekeenae went and played for Kyle Shanahan, he'd just be Joanne Jennings.
To me, I don't want anything to do with Joanne Jennings.
He's going to get massively overpaid.
I'd much rather go get, you know,
Alec Pierce from Indianapolis
if he becomes a free agent.
If Indianapolis doesn't want to let Pierce go,
they're probably going to have to cut Michael Porter Jr.
because he's set to get about $26 million on the salary cap this year.
Quite frankly, I'd rather keep Calvin Ridley.
Joanne Jennings has had a lot of injuries.
He's had soft tissue stuff that caused him to miss games.
I'd rather just keep Calvin Ridley around for one more season
than get rid of a good wide receiver who just had a bad year with injuries.
I would rather go get a Wondale Robinson for $13 million a year than pay Juan Jennings
$20 million a year.
I just don't think that Jawan Jennings is a good enough wide receiver to get the dollar
amount that he's probably going to get.
He's not explosive, doesn't beat man coverage.
I'm just, you know, he's a good blocker.
He's a physical player.
He's from Tennessee.
I'm sure that's going to make people go.
But I really don't have any interest whatsoever in Juan Jennings.
I think they can even go for a cheaper guy who I think is more valuable or they need to
for a more expensive guy who's a much better player and fits a lot better.
So Juan Jennings is one of those guys who may come available,
but with all the upheaval when they are going to lose Brandon Ayuk in San Francisco
and Ricky Pearsall has been banged up nonstop.
I don't know if they're going to let him go,
but Juan Jennings is not high on my list as a guy that I'm interested in.
Let me see.
One last question here from Blast TV 13.
Should we have waited for Clint Kubiak?
He wasn't coming to Tennessee.
No, they should not have waited at.
on a guy who didn't want to be here. No.
Yeah. And, you know, obviously he's still in the running for potentially the Raiders job as well.
And that could impact Brian Daible coming to Tennessee and with the Titans as their offensive coordinator also.
And Julie, can you pull up the comment that just came in from Andrew Cobb saying looks like the Titans just hired Daibble?
There it is.
Guys, this is such a perfect example of like modern society.
You have to read the full report, whether it was.
Diana Rusini, whether it was Adam Schaefter, every single one of those reports said he's going to be the Titans offensive coordinator if he's not the head coach of the Raiders.
It is not official. It is not official yet. So no, the Titans didn't just hire Brian Daible. If he doesn't get a different job, then he's going to come to the Titans. Yes, but that doesn't mean that it's done yet. Like you guys can't be this gullible, man. It's just it it, it, it frustes.
because it's a big, it's outside of sports.
It's a societal issue where people want nice lies.
Everybody wants us to lie to him and say,
Brian Dable is a Titan, pop the bottles.
That's a nice lie that makes you feel good.
The hard truth is he's not official yet.
It has not been confirmed.
And it's better to live with hard truths than live with nice lies.
Yeah, there's a huge contingency there.
However, there are multiple reports.
As Tyler mentioned earlier in the show from our boy Jerry,
who called into the local station there.
And that has now at least been confirmed from Paul Kaharski that he did confirm that Brian Dable is in Nashville.
I'm sure they're going to work on a contract.
They're going to talk about a contract.
They're going to start to get to work on.
Hey, Brian, who do you want on your offensive staff?
Who do you want us to hire at O-Line?
Who do you want us to hire at wide receiver, running back quarterback coach?
They're going to start having those discussions now.
But again, he just had a second interview with the Raiders yesterday.
So it's like if the Raiders call him after they say Clint Kuby,
goes to the Super Bowl and they lose to New England.
And Kubiak says, I'm not going to go take the Las Vegas Raiders job.
I'm going to stay in Seattle for a year.
And then the Raiders go, well, crap, we don't have the guy that we wanted all along and that we waited for.
I guess we have to take Brian Daible.
And then Daible says, I'm sorry, guys.
I told you, if I got a head coaching job, I was going to go take that.
And then he gets it.
And it's February 9th.
And Brian Daible goes and coaches the Raiders.
All these people who acted like it's confirmed he's coming are going to feel like idiots.
Why would you set yourself up for that sort of pain when it's not necessary?
I just don't understand the way people think.
I don't get it.
Last thing before we go, because we did talk about it,
and it is the biggest game of the year, obviously.
Do you guys have a quick Super Bowl pick?
Do you want to give it here on this show?
Go, Hawks.
I think I figured that coming from Tyler,
especially after people take earlier.
Bhop.
What great storylines, though.
Mike McDaniel or McDonnell rather
Mike Vrable
Two mics
Opposite ends of the coast
Basically got Boston on one in
You got Seattle on the other
Sam Donald resurrection story
Guy that was a
Rejected in Minnesota rejecting Sam Fran
Obviously we know how I started in New York
To now find footing
Versus Drake May
Who no one was willing to put anything on
until he got into Mike Frable's culture,
and they gave him confidence.
There was a play that was called in the AFC championship game
that nobody knew was getting ran except for Drake May.
He didn't tell any of his teammates he was keeping that ball.
And the reason why you do that is because you have confidence
and support of the people that are coaching you and the players around you.
He wasn't concerned about what this would look like if it didn't happen, right?
He had the confidence to be a slinger in excellence and say,
you know what, I'm going to take a bull by the home.
and I'm going to do something and make a difference in this game.
Ultimately, it's decisions like that that have made the Patriots special this year.
So I think that to look at the storylines, look at Mike Vrable going back and making history,
winning a Super Bowl with a franchise that he won multiple Super Bowls with.
I'd like to see that narrative happen.
And I think that he's created the culture that not only for 2025 results like that,
Mike Vrable ain't going anywhere, fellas.
He might be the new team to beat in the NFC East.
damn the bills
and now they're starting
over again even though they got Josh Allen
I know it looks like an attractive job
Buffalo does but hey you got to go
through Boston now that Mike Framble is in town
best bet
and I think that's a good place day
can I say this real quick
I want to correct something that I had
incorrect during the show
I had something wrong and I want to correct it here
the bills the bills
cannot have Clint Kubiak
for an interview until after the Super Bowl
because they didn't fire Sean McDermott
until the divisional round.
That's the timing.
The Raiders who fired their Pete Carroll early,
they can have a second interview this week during the buy with Clint Kubiak.
I got that wrong.
I'm sorry, wanted to correct that here.
Clint Kubiak can have his second interview with the Raiders this week.
Don't have to wait until after the Super Bowl.
That's only a Buffalo thing.
So worth keeping in mind there.
Yes, indeed.
Thank you for that, Tyler.
And it's also, we're all on Brian Dable Watch,
as he seems to be a touchdown in Nashville,
maybe to be the Titans new OC.
We will see a lot of contingencies there,
including the Las Vegas Raiders job.
That'll do it for the Titans Squad Show here.
I'm Julian Minutesa, alongside Tyler Rowland, and Brad Hopkins.
Make sure to like, comment, subscribe,
all that fun stuff, being every day or to the Lockedon Titans podcast
with Tyler Roland as well.
But for now, we'll see you guys for this week.
