Locked On Titans - Daily Podcast On The Tennessee Titans - Tyreek Hill NOT AN OPTION for Tennessee Titans & ZERO INTEREST in Aging, Injured Wide Receiver
Episode Date: February 17, 2026The Tennessee Titans need help at wide receiver, but Tyreek Hill is not the answer. Hill was released on Monday by the Miami Dolphins and while he has had a great career, Hill is no longer the player ...he was. You add onto that fact with his age and how he is coming off of a major injury and you have a player the Titans should avoid. Now, add onto all of that the fact Hill is known as a malcontent in the locker room that disrupted and alienated his teammates in Miami, and it is clear the Titans should steer away from yet another veteran wide receiver mistake. His former teammate, Bradley Chubb, is also a no go. Chubb is not an elite player and also comes with injury/age concerns.GET SUBSCRIBED for year round Tennessee Titans film content!! The Tennessee Titan should have absolutely zero interest in signing Tyree Kill because he represents
everything this franchise is trying to avoid.
I'll explain on today's edition of Locked on Titans.

I am your host, Tyler Rowland Titans fans,
on today's bonus edition of the Locked-on Titans podcast.
I'm going to explain to you why the Tennessee Titans should be totally out on Tyree Kill.
I don't even want to talk about it.
It makes no sense whatsoever.
But also, his former teammate, Nick Chubb, should not be an option for the Titans as well.
Before I dive into it, do want to thank you for making Locked-on Titans.

Cam Ward film breakdown.
It is the definitive Cam Ward film breakdown from his rookie year
out now on the Tick-Tac Titans YouTube channel.
But with that being said, stop talking about Tyree Kill.
No, it is such an obvious no.
There is no chance in the world that Tyree Kill makes any sense at all for the Tennessee Titans.
I can't, like, we can't do this thing that the fan base does.
Every single time something like this happens.
Shiny Toy.
Oh, that's a name I know.
I know that guy.
He was good two years ago.
There's a saying in the NFL that the average fan is two years behind
what is reality in the NFL.
And that's how it feels for me hearing you guys talk about Tyree Kill,
seeing all the posts,
and I'm getting tagged in all these questions about Tyree Kill,
No, stop it.
The Tennessee Titan should have zero, zero interest
and Tyree Kill whatsoever.
If the reasons aren't obvious to you, why already,
well, number one,
he just suffered a devastating injury.
Devastating.
Blew out his entire knee, dislocated his knee.
He played four games last year after a devastating injury.
This ain't Trey Hendrick.
and who played seven games last year and nudge nudge wink wink
could have came back if he wanted to.
This is a dude who literally blew out his knee.
And he's already 31 years old as a speed wide receiver.
This isn't a defensive end who relies on physical power and hand technique.
This is a speed wide receiver who's 5 foot 10, 190 pounds.
Who's already going to turn 32 on March the 1st.
So he's going to be 3rd.
32 by the time the season starts.
Guys, this isn't prime cheetah that you're talking about here.
This is a washed up,
injured, aging version of Tyree Kill.
I mean, he played 17 games last year
and didn't even have a thousand yards.
This is not the same version of the player
that was an all pro in back-to-back seasons
in his first two years in Miami.
He is someone who is going to age
poorly and outside of the he's injured he's aging he's a malcontent this is like we talked
about with George Pickens this is without a doubt one of the worst people in the
entire NFL you cannot bring this guy into the locker room he tried to
force his way out of Miami he had to apologize to the locker room for
making comments, he's on Twitter all the time, I'm out, peace sign.
This is like, I could not think of a worse option for the Titans
than 32-year-old Tyreek Hill off a devastating knee injury.
He might not play the whole season.
And if he does play, when's it going to be?
Thanksgiving?
At minimum, Halloween.
what if he doesn't come back at all?
Because the injury is so devastating
that he can't make it back in time.
And you're paying this dude
to tweet and rehab
on the Titans Don?
Haven't we learned our lesson?
Haven't we learned our lesson
on 30-year-old,
injured, washed-up wide receivers?
Have you not had enough beatings?
Have you not been kicked in the teeth enough,
Titans fans?
Quit caring about the shiny toy.
Let it go.
stop talking about Tyree Kill.
He is not going to be a Tennessee Titan.
He should not be a Tennessee Titan.
It makes no sense whatsoever.
And just because he was good two years ago, and you know who he is,
doesn't mean that it makes sense for the Titans to do this now.
Do not sign Tyree Kill.
Do not go after Tyree Kill.
And quite honestly, they shouldn't go after his cut teammate Nick Chub either.
Or Nick Chubb, Bradley Chub, either.
Hey, it's Matt Derry from the Lockdown Lions podcast.

Fans, let's cap off today's bonus edition of the Locked on Titans podcast.
We talked about why I am totally out on Tyree Kill
and you should be too, and the Titans are going to be as well.
But now I want to talk about his teammate,
because I got some questions about Bradley Chubb.
I keep wanting to say Nick Chubb.
But Bradley Chubb, who was cut by the Miami Dolphins,
listen, guys, it's a similar situation.
We're talking about a guy
who's going to be 30 years old in June,
who has had injuries, his entire career, okay?
This isn't like a one-time,
situation. Only played four games in 2019. Only seven games in 2021. Then follows it up,
2024 ACL. He played all 17 games last year, but only had eight and a half sacks. And the
Dolphins defensive line was actually pretty good. Zach Seiler is a good player. They also had
Chop Robinson on one side. They had Jalen Phillips for a couple of games before he was traded to the
Eagles. Like one of the things the dolphins had going for them last year was a decent defense.
offensive line and pass rush.
Like, he had 11 sacks in 2023 in 16 games.
Like, this isn't a player.
See, I compare this to Trey Hendrickson,
who I talked about on last night's episode.
Hendrickson, yes, missed time last year with the Bengals.
But the two years prior to that,
he had 17 and a half sacks per season.
And I would say that Bradley Chubb,
while being a similar size, 6'4, 260 pounds,
Bradley Chub has been a stand-up
outside guy
for most of his career.
He has mostly been an outside linebacker
not a defensive end,
put his hand in the dirt,
hold up against the run,
all of that.
Like, he just does not fit
as well as a guy like Trey Hendrickson
and he's had way more injuries
than a guy like Trey Hendrickson
and he hasn't been as good of a player
as a guy like Trey Hendrickson.
So like, it just doesn't make any sense
to me to go out and pay
Nick Chubb, Nick Chub.
Bradley Chub to come in and be what?
You know, Arden Key?
He's the new Arden Key.
You want to pay for that?
I don't.
That doesn't solve anything.
It doesn't help anything, in my opinion.
He's not a good enough player,
and he's been overly injured his entire career.
So, not a scheme fit.
Not that good of a player.
I'm not saying he's a bad player.
I'm saying he's not a good enough player
to rely on as a real signing and free agency.
So old,
injured, not productive enough when he is on the field,
he's just a name that you've heard of.
So you're like, oh, shiny toy, just like Tyree Kill.
I don't want either of these guys.
I'm out on both of them.
It doesn't make any sense.
But with that being said, that's going to do it for today's bonus edition of Locked on Titans.
Again, make sure that you go to the Ticktack Titans YouTube channel
and check out my Cam Ward film breakdown.
It's absolutely fantastic.
It's a full view of everything Cam Ward did great
and everything he needs to improve on as well.
So I hope you guys will go check that out.
But that's gonna do it for today's edition.
As always, I am your host, Tyler Rowland.
And this was Locked on Titans.
