Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey folks, Aaron here. In keeping with my newest idea, this deeper lore bonus episode will help you learn more about some of the topics discussed in the most recent episode of the main lore show, episode 244, Stolen. If you haven't already listened, this week's new episode is all about relics. We take a tour of the different types, and guess the Catholic Church even has a classification system, and of course discuss some of the most bizarre and gruesome examples out there. But that's idea of using a human body part for some post-death purpose is deeper and wider than you might realize.
Starting point is 00:00:35 So, if you finished this week's episode and found yourself still hungry for more, I've got three old episodes that will satisfy that craving. First, go download episode 113, Word of Mouth. This classic episode unpacks the weird and fascinating world of medicinal cannibalism. From drinking the blood of executed criminals to the practice of eating ground mummified remains, if you like relics, you will love this older episode. Next, for an exploration of the intersection between human bodies and the legal system,
Starting point is 00:01:06 give a listen to episode 122, The Shortest Straw. This one is a nautical story that focuses on the criminal trial of some sailors who had to make the most horrifying decision ever. It's disturbing and educational in equal measures. And lastly, download and enjoy episode 128, a hole in the head. You'll learn a new word, crewntation, and discover how the act of merely touching a human corpse has its own wild world of folklore associated with it. Listen now and thank me later.
Starting point is 00:01:36 So there you go. Follow up this week's episode on Holy Relics with a Trip Into the Past. Episodes 113, 122, and 128 are waiting for you in this podcast feed, or you can find their direct links in the description for this episode. And until next time, stay spooky.
