Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey folks, Aaron here. Welcome back to another edition of Deeper Lore, a bonus episode that's designed to serve as a topical guide to the most recent episode of the podcast. My team and I have made well over 300 episodes between lore and lore legends over the past decade, so I know that frustration when you hear a new episode and it sparks a memory of a similar one from a couple of years ago that you loved, but you can't track it down. And that's where deeper lore comes in. The goal here is just to quickly point you in the direction of some older related episodes
Starting point is 00:00:32 so you can keep this week's topic alive a little longer and maybe go deeper into the lore. This week for episode 276, heads up, we aim high and discuss some of the wildest bits of folklore surrounding beheadings. It's full of gore and ghosts and even a bit of philosophy, but it's definitely not the first time we've used the human body as a focal point. So here are three older episodes that will pair up nicely with this week's new one.
Starting point is 00:00:59 First, go re-listen to episode 43, Supply and Demand. This one is a favorite classic and was even adapted for television in, I think, season two. It has corpses and crime and a whole lot of medical madness. You're gonna love listening to this one. Next, episode 113, Word of Mouth, is another fantastic example of body folklore. I might not listen to this one during your lunch, but you're definitely gonna walk away feeling a mixture of educated and terrified. After all, folklore can be disgusting.
Starting point is 00:01:30 And finally, go give episode 122, The Shortest Straw, a listen. This is a legal story, a nautical adventure, and a tale of survival all wrapped up into one. Oh, and there's a bit of cannibalism at the center of it all. Don't miss this classic. And there you go. Follow up this week's brand new episode with a trip into the past. Episodes 43, 113, and 122 are waiting for you in this podcast feed.
Starting point is 00:01:56 You can just scroll with your finger through the app, find them and listen, or you can tap their direct links in this episode's description. And until next time, stay spooky.
