Hey folks, Aaron here.
Welcome back to another edition of Deeper Lore,
a bonus episode designed to serve as a topical guide
to the most recent episode of Lore.
Have you ever wondered where you can find more episodes
on the topic you just heard about?
Did this particular type of folklore get you interested in keeping that vibe going?
Did the newest episode of lore make you want to go deeper into a particular topic?
Well, that's the purpose of deeper lore.
In this short bonus episode, I'll dig into our vast 10-year archive and point out some
old episodes that fit well with this week's newest.
The hope is that you can keep this spooky feeling
going well into the weekend,
putting a handful of episodes
into a new, more powerful context.
So let's get started, shall we?
This week for episode 285, Oh My!,
we take a look at an unusual type of serial killer,
wildlife.
It's a lions, tigers, and bears, oh my!
sort of adventure with a bloody twist.
But it's not the first time that we've discussed dangerous killers on this show, so here are
three older episodes that will pair up nicely with this week's new one.
First up, episode 16, Covered Mirrors.
Few kinds of murder stories draw more fascination than those that remain unsolved, and this
one, discussing the Veliska Axe murders,
has plenty of mystery to spare.
Enjoy.
Next, download episode 27, On the Farm.
Not only was this classic lore episode adapted by Amazon
as one of the season two TV episodes,
but it's one of those enduring unsolved mysteries
with an incredibly creepy flavor.
Don't miss this, seriously.
And finally, there's episode 31, Lost and Found.
What can I say? This oldie is one of my favorites.
First, the main character, Kate Webster, is complicated, brutal, and fascinating.
And second, there's the stew.
It's an innocent idea with a dark reality.
You know what? Just go and listen and discover what I mean by that for yourself.
And there you go. Follow up this week's brand new episode with a trip into the past.
Episodes 16, 27, and 31 are waiting for you in this podcast feed.
You can just scroll down in your app to find them, or you can tap on their direct links in the description for this bonus episode.
And until next time, stay spooky.
