Hey folks, Aaron here.
One of the biggest truths this show has explored over the years is just how packed with amazing
stories our history books really are, real people in real situations who have encountered
something strange, deadly, or unexplainable.
But not all of the enduring stories out there are rooted in historical accuracy.
In fact, many have been passed from generation to generation simply because they are powerful,
entertaining, and downright chilling.
These are tales that many of us would argue are essential parts of our local communities,
despite leaning a bit closer to fiction than fact.
But just because those stories lack solid proof doesn't mean they should be forgotten.
We recently wrapped up our two-year-long project to remaster the oldest 50 episodes of lore,
and it was a blast.
Giving those old scripts, fresh narration, and production allowed me to present those
deeply historical tales in a way that they deserved.
But now that the project is over, we're back to being a bi-weekly podcast.
Except, not really.
Because my team and I have decided to make lore a weekly show instead, delivering a total
of 52 new episodes each year.
And these new episodes, tucked in between the traditional lore episodes that you already
know and love, will explore the less historical but still powerful community legends that
are scattered all around us.
We call them lore legends, and the first one will be arriving right here in this podcast
feed on May 15th, and you literally don't have to do a thing.
Starting May 15th, you will get weekly new episodes, bouncing back and forth between
the more historical and the truly legendary.
And to help you tell the difference, the musical mood in our legends episodes will
be a bit more old-school lore.
I think you're really going to love it.
Oh, and if you're a Patreon or Apple Podcast subscriber who pays $5 a month for an ad-free
version, that will cover these new lore legends episodes as well.
You can learn more about those ad-free subscription options over at lorepodcast.com slash supports.
And thanks for sticking around, for spreading the word, and keeping the lights on here over
at LoreHQ.
I'm grateful for all of you, and excited to share this new chapter in our adventure
with you.
And until then, take care, and I'll see you soon.
Bye.
