This is my favorite self-created word, which I think needs to make it into the

dictionary. And that word is brain or brain or is when you have this kind of mental connection. It's the dirty word for smart people. And the reason that I think it's so important is because on dates, people are suffering from a lack of good brain or do you know what? Every time I see someone planning intricately a first date and they go, Oh, we're going to go here and I'm going to, and I've booked this theater and I've booked this great restaurant. I cringe a little bit. A first date should just be a date where there's great brain. It should just be a date where you get together and have a great time conversing. I have found that the best dates are the ones where you forget where you are because you're just connecting so much with the person.

You thought 10 minutes went by and it was three hours and you can close a place down. The outside of your little world that you've created is boring as hell. There's no one there. They're not even serving anymore. And you're just sitting there talking because it's that good. That my friends, is a couple that actually has the potential to work. So you need to be having great brain oil. And I want to talk about very briefly what creates great brain oil. Let me tell you, what doesn't create great brain oil is logic. What do you do? Where do you live? What office do you work in? How many floors are in your office?

How much square footage does your office occupy? People actually get into the most ridiculous, mundane questions. And it drives me crazy because what isn't interesting? Why is? To me, it doesn't matter what you do. It matters why you do it. That's the thing that's interesting. The what's are boring. The why's

are fascinating. So that's how we're going to get to great brain or we're actually going to understand why someone appreciates the parts of life that they appreciate. And brain, by the way, is about making someone think someone might not share your passions or your interests or your beliefs. But when they hear you speak or your beliefs, but when they hear you speak about them with passion, when they hear you talk in depth about certain things that you've experienced in life that they haven't, that then becomes interesting because it's the collision of two worlds. That's the question we should be asking ourselves. Am I making the person on the opposite side of this dinner table think? And are they making me think?
