But I don't want Brandon to win the national championship.
If they were in the national championship game, I don't care who it was against.
I'd be there with bells on for that team.
Yeah.
Ole Miss.
Yeah, I don't give it.
I don't care about Ole Miss.
Ole Miss versus Mississippi State.
You would root for Ole Miss.
With gusto.
Why?
because I don't want Brandon to win a national championship.
Mincy.
Now, you are, that is something I had not considered.
How did, how did you not consider it?
Because I was, I was, because I was locked in on branding.
Okay, okay, got you.
Yeah, I don't know with that.
I don't know.
Yeah, see?
I don't know.

Welcome back to nanodosing. It's Tuesday. It is September 29th.
And our long national nightmare is over.
J.J. McCarthy has another job.
Congrats nine.
Congrats nine. So back. He got traded for a fifth round pick from the Vikings to the Giants.
And that's one round less than what Trey Lance.
got traded for when the Niners moved on from him.
Okay.
So a fifth round pick from the 10th overall pick just a couple years ago.
Tough times for JJ.
Tough times for nine.
Well, that's fair.
That's probably about what he should have been.
Well, what do you think is going to happen?
Do you think that because obviously Harbaugh got some information from Harbaugh,
who called him the best quarterback that he's ever had.
That was until he fell in love with her.
I think Jim Harbaugh just loved.
That's so disrespectful, by the way, from a guy.
who coached Andrew Luck.
He coached, yeah, he coached Andrew Luck.
Coach Colin Kaepernick wouldn't say what you want about the guy.
He was a great quarterback in San Francisco.
Went to the Super Bowl.
Went to the Super Bowl.
And then, yeah, obviously had a lot of success with him at Michigan.
But the best quarterback he's ever coached, he got on the phone with his brother,
said, John, you got to get this kid, give him another chance.
So Nine is now a New York giant filling in for Jackson Dart,
or at least competing against.
James Winston. Really, I'm a, I'm a nine guy. You know that, right? Sure. I'm not a JJ guy,
but nine is a different dude. Okay. And when nine's out, good luck betting against nine.
He's been JJ recently. He's been JJ recently. But you're counting on him flipping the switchback.
But when nine's back, bet against nine at your own peril. The problem is there's no way to tell if you're
going to get JJ or nine, but you know when you see it. It's like obscenity. Yes, exactly. Yes.
So he's going to be competing, I guess, against Jamesis, kind of disrespectful to both.
it's disrespectful to both players.
Like you're going to make...
Who was the backup before this?
Well, it's James.
No, who was his backup this week?
Oh, James' backup.
That's a good question.
Who is the other quarterback on the Giants now?
Old.
Wide receiver quarterback.
Jake Hainer?
Oh, Jake Hainer, yeah.
Solid player.
You remember Jake Hainer?
Fresno State.
Yeah.
I feel bad for Jake Hainer
because most NFL fans know Jake Hainer
from his rookie photo.
shoot that he did.
So he was on the Saints.
I remember something, but I don't know what it was.
Yeah, you can just look up Jake Hainer photo shoot.
And he hates it.
He hates that this happened.
He's doing like model poses.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
Doing the blue steel look.
Yeah.
So that's quite a quarterback room they have there.
I'm very interested to see how this all shakes out.
Number one, I think it's disrespectful to James to make him compete against J.J.
McCarthy for a starting job.
Number two, I think it's disrespectful to nine to make him compete against
James Winston for a starting job.
And if, let's just say hypothetically, JJ gets the gig.
Nine.
Sorry.
You don't want JJ to get the gig.
Right.
Let's say they give the gig to nine and then who knows who takes over from there.
But they give it to nine and then if he plays well and let's say the Giants going a little
winning streak here in the season called nine and eight, what happens going into next year?
Jackson, Darts your quarterback
They love DART
Don't get me wrong
I think that Darts are a very solid young quarterback
But like, okay, so what if
Nine at his peak is not capable of creating a controversy
What if he wins a couple of playoffs games
He's not capable of that
He won a national championship
He has won multiple playoffs
Michigan won a national championship
While cheating with an incredible defense
I don't think they were cheating during the playoff
remember they got caught cheating
they stopped cheating altogether
because they said you got us
and then when they were playing Farrant Square
9 won a national championship
regardless
he is incapable of getting that team to the playoffs
and winning playoff games and even if he did
which he can't
it would still be Jackson Dirk
okay let's just pretend that he did
that he did get him in playoffs
you win two playoffs Jackson Dardt
the Giants make it to the NFC championship game
You're going to bench the guy
that got you to the NFC championship game.
Yes.
The Vikings got rid of the guy who got them there.
Yeah.
Did they go the NFC championship?
No, but they, I mean, obviously, they were good.
They were very good.
Who beat the Vikings that year in the playoffs?
I don't recall.
I'm trying to remember.
Was it the Rams?
Yeah, the Rams.
Yeah, because the Rams beat the Vikings, then the Eagles beat the Rams.
Then the Eagles beat the commanders.
Yeah, 27 to 9.
They only got to the wild card.
I thought they won a game or team.
I think they were the one seed.
Or not, they wouldn't be the one seed.
The lions were the one seed.
But that was the year that the NFC North was just crazy good.
So they did not get the one seed, but I think they might have had.
They were 14 and three.
Yeah, they had 14 wins with Sam.
Then they threw them out.
I'm just saying, what if, what if nine is great?
Jackson Dart.
What if nine is great?
It'll be an interesting conversation at the very least.
good for nine i'm glad that he gets another shot yeah we'll see what happens yeah um big t you had an
interesting weekend as a sports fan number one congratulations on your braves yeah uh how are you how are you
feeling about the uh about the playoffs in general uh not good the good news is nobody you'll see it
it's at one o'clock on peacock so okay shouldn't be uh you know you're feeling that bad about
it when we yeah the braves have been terrible for four months now okay they were 40
and 21 and finished with 94 wins, I believe.
So that's 48 and like, they were like 500 the last three months of the season.
They're not a very good team.
I do not anticipate them.
They can beat the Phillies, but they, then you go play the Dodgers.
Okay.
You have any plans to go to a game?
No.
Okay.
Give me your MLB preview as a whole.
I don't watch very much American League baseball.
Obviously, I'm locked in on the Braves every night, and we,
well, now you play everybody, which is a sham.
But I knew everyone in the American League was bad.
I did not realize the Cleveland Guardians get a buy with like 84 wins.
Yes, that is right.
Outrageous stuff going on in the American League.
The Houston Astros are in the playoffs at 81 and 81.
Worse division winner in the history of baseball.
Yeah, it's shocking stuff over there.
But, you know, you play the hand you're dealt.
We have fun.
I guess I would pick.
Let's go series by series.
Okay.
Yankees Red Sox.
Love the Red Sox.
And they're plus money in that series.
Me too.
The Astros, the White Sox.
I mean, I guess the White Sox.
Okay.
But that's in Houston.
Houston, right, even though the White Sox have a better record?
I believe so.
Because they won the division.
Yeah.
So, yeah.
Okay.
The Red Sox and the Tampa Bay Rays.
Race.
The White Sox, wait, did you pick?
Yeah, I guess White Sox.
White Sox and the Guardians.
One of those teams is going to the ALCS.
Yep.
I guess the White Sox.
Okay.
White Sox, Rays.
Rays in three, possibly, that they,
will win in four because they have to play a fourth. Okay. Oh, as a casual, I consider myself a
baseball casual. I pay attention to my team and the teams around my team. What do I need to know
about the race? Because I don't think I've watched a single raised baseball game this year. They play
exactly how you would anticipate the raise to play. How they always play? Yes. Okay. They've got like,
like, they have an ace, a certified ace? Um, I don't even know a ton about their pitch.
pitching staff, but offensively, you will turn on the raise and you'll be like, that's what I thought the race would look like.
Okay.
Padres Cubs.
Padres.
Braves, Phillies.
I guess the Braves, because you'll have sale going against like Andrew Painter in game one.
So, I mean, the Braves have to win that.
And then if you win game one, you're against, so I guess the Braves.
Padres Brewers.
Brewers.
Dodgers Braves
Dodgers
Brewers Dodgers
I like the Brewers
but they don't have that
pedigree that the Dodgers have
they're there every year
They never lose
Yeah give me the Dodgers
Just experience
All right so Ray's Dodgers
Postseason baseball
I want my team built like the race
Okay
But it is the Dodgers
Give me the raise
Give me the raise in seven.
We love that.
People forget, the Dodgers should have lost last year.
Yeah.
The Blue J should have won the World Series.
They were, what, an hour or two away?
It was one of the best World Series ever.
Yeah, it was awesome.
They're not unbeatable.
No.
And it's baseball.
All right.
Let's go raise.
Would that be?
It'd be boring.
Yeah.
It'd be like the most boring.
It's not boring because it would be the Dodgers losing.
People would love that.
But it's not the same as if it was like the Red Sox against the Dodgers.
You know what's crazy?
This was a World Series in the very recent past.
And nobody remembers or cares.
Yep.
Memory Hold it.
The Rays had been to two or three World Series.
I think three.
08.
They lost to the Phillies.
2020, they lost to the Dodgers, if you count that.
I think those are the only two.
Let's see.
But they've been to the ALCS a bunch of times.
Yeah, pound for pound.
Florida baseball teams, they've got a decent pedigree.
I mean, the Marlins are either terrible or win the World Series.
And then they nuke their team.
And the Rays are always awesome spending $54 million a year.
Yeah.
Rays are really like the model of how you should run a franchise.
Yeah.
You're a small market team.
Great front office.
I think it's the colors.
I think the uniform colors make them more boring.
You're a Tampa team, and they've got the most muted.
Well, I think they're going back now to the
devil rays iconography. Good. I have seen that more of the vintage logos from them.
They just released. They came out with a new uniform with like a week left in the season.
They're like, this is for next year, but we're going to start wearing it now, and it's the
Devil Rays Road. Looks good. Yeah. It's got a little of the blue and the yellow in it.
Has a team ever changed their name or kept their name mostly the same, but been like,
we're going from being a stingray to a ray of sunshine, but we're still staying the rays.
No, just one team has done that.
Yeah.
Well, but like, you know, because I don't know of many names that you could do that with.
The Knicks.
They were the Knickerbockers.
Right, but they didn't change the thing that they were.
The pants.
They just shortened it.
It's wild that they're named after pants.
Yeah.
I mean, we have two teams named for socks.
That's also true, yeah.
No, but I don't think any team has done what you're saying.
Do you know about the Presbyterian Blue Hose?
No.
Yeah, their name for socks, too, the Blue Hoes.
Where do they play?
It's in South Carolina.
Don't look up the city.
I think Presbyterian College, because their logo's a PC.
It's not a university.
They are in, show me, Beaufort, South Carolina.
Okay.
Clinton, South Carolina.
Not familiar with their work.
The Blue Hose.
Looks like it's near.
not much of anything.
Do they have merch?
Oh yeah.
You want some?
Yeah, I would actually.
Let's find some good stuff.
Let's go Blue Ho's.
What else we got in the news today, Big T?
Actually, I want to talk to you about the football game this weekend.
There's a lot to get into with the Texas UT game.
Yeah.
Thank you for properly naming.
Yeah, you guys are UT as recognized by the SEC.
Thank you.
Was Trump,
Was his presence cutting out Kirk Herb Street's headset?
That was crazy.
I was watching at a bar, and I thought the bar sound was messing up.
And I was like, figure this out, please.
And then we saw the tweets that it was on the broadcast.
And I was like, oh, okay, right after they talked about, we anticipate no communication disruptions
with President Trump's attendance.
It was kind of wild that they, like we saw at the end of last week, a series of head coaches
talking about how it has impacted them in the past.
There was some dispute going back and forth
on whether or not it,
Trump's headset,
or the headsets at the national championship game
were interfered with by Trump's jamming capability
during the final drive of Miami, Indiana.
Yeah, it was not the final drive.
It was late in the fourth quarter.
It was late in the fourth quarter.
And so now everyone's wondering what's going to happen with that.
And then Herb Street was the only one his microphone
that seemed to be affected by it.
then the game happened and Texas looked much better than Tennessee.
Is that fair to say?
I don't know. Texas didn't look good.
I don't think they're great yet.
I think they're getting better.
I think both defenses were awesome.
Tennessee's got a young quarterback too.
Yeah, he's a true freshman.
There's a reason we're the only team in the country starting one.
It's typically not what you want to do.
But every time I hear his name, I just think he's a streamer.
Phazon Brandon.
Yeah, Phazon Brandon.
Yeah, I guess.
We got Phazon Brandon over here.
It's part of the Faze Clan.
Yeah.
Then there were multiple on-field incidents of Texas players touching their dicks.
So I was wondering what your thoughts were about that,
because they continue to push the limits of ways that you can use your own invisible penis as a prop.
Yeah, I got to say, I was pretty shocked when Colin Simmons had a sack that made it like fourth and 30,
and we were going to punt from our own end zone.
And he proceeded to simulate taking his penis out and pissing all over the field.
And then I saw him throw a flag and I was like, that's a first down.
Yeah.
We just got a first down.
Thank you, Colin Simmons.
He proceeded to get four more sacks.
So that wasn't awesome.
But, yeah, and then Relique Brown scored and smelled his balls and passed out.
Yeah.
For some reason, that wasn't a penalty.
But, yeah, weird game.
And then we, you had to love our.
illegal onside kick. Oh, it was a great kick. It was an awesome onside kick. And I think that
it being illegal really doesn't have that much to do with it. It, I mean, it was a technicality.
It has to be on the 35-yard line and he had it a yard behind. I would say like a couple yards.
It was, he was lined up pretty far behind the 35-yard line when he kicked it. I mean,
it wouldn't, it's not like. It wouldn't have affected that. Like the idea of that on-side kick
is a good on-side kick to do. And I've been saying for years that that teams need to
incorporate the drop kick for the on-side kick.
Because one, I don't think that team's practice against it.
And two, it adds that chaos in terms of like how the ball is going to bounce.
Yeah, it was perfect.
That you miss.
Like you try to simulate that as much as you can.
Or like, you know, you try to tee the ball up and kick it straight down to the ground and get a weird hop.
But you're not going to get like the absolute chaos that comes with a weirdly kicked drop kick.
So I think more teams should do that.
And it was executed perfectly.
He had a chance to win the game.
or he had a chance to go down, like, you know, score some points at the end of the game.
And I thought, I thought they might do it, honestly, after they recovered.
It just kind of felt like the game was tilting that way a little bit.
We didn't score an offensive touchdown in the first 58 minutes of the game.
We get one, get the onside kick, and we only need a field goal.
Yeah.
And, you know, holding penalty cost us.
The end of the game management was terrible.
It's a true freshman quarterback.
That kind of stuff's going to happen.
he held the ball too long a lot
his offensive line didn't help him
I mean on the one hand like
we played number one Texas
lost by three
like nobody was expecting Tennessee to go 12 and 0
this year on the other hand you got the game
you needed from the number one team in the country in your building
you had the ball with a chance to win
and did nothing with it so it's
you know
depending on how you view your glass
but
Yeah, it kind of sucked.
I'm most disappointed.
You only get an onside kick like that once every four or five years.
I mean, you got to use your bullets at the right time.
Because I was talking to my buddy that I was watching the game with.
I was like, when's the last time we got an onside kick?
And the only one we could come up with was 2019.
We played Kedek in Indiana in the Tax Slayer Gator Bowl.
And we got an onside kick that they,
for some reason,
weren't expecting with like three minutes left
and us down by a touchdown.
And that's the last one we remember.
So that might have been our first onside kick
in like seven years that we've recovered.
And it was right at the juncture we needed it
and we couldn't capitalize.
Yeah.
I mean, there's enough to be excited about,
enough to be optimistic about it in the future.
Are you a glass half full guy?
I recognize that next year
we could be awesome
but it's this year
and I want to be good this year too.
That makes sense, yeah.
Yeah.
It makes sense.
I fully understand
what comes with playing a true freshman quarterback.
Again,
there's a reason people try not to do it.
He's going to be really,
really good.
He's pretty good now,
but he's learning and he's young
and that was his first big test
and he, you know,
did what you would expect
a true freshman quarterback to do.
Yeah.
I like Steve Sarkesian after the game
when they were asking about
like the penalty for whipping out your dick and pissing on the field and that stuff.
And he made it more of a, like it's our fault than it happened as a society.
Do you see what Colin Simmons said?
No.
He's like, I apologize.
I shouldn't have done that, but charge it to the game, man.
Yeah, charge it to the game.
There's simply no way that I could have avoided that.
It's just part of the game.
Do you know that with five sacks, he was not only not the SEC defensive player
of the week?
He wasn't even the SEC defensive linemen of the week?
No way.
Who was?
Some guy from Missouri
Dayton Hopkins
I don't know what he did this week
I'm guessing he didn't have five sacks
That's pretty
I mean it was a very impressive game for that defense
You think they didn't put him because of the cock
Probably yeah
Again that's not so much a him problem
Or a Texas problem
That's a society problem
Like we have failed
The University of Texas
How do you figure
Well that's what Stark was saying
Oh okay
the game. Yeah, I mean, he
really went for it. He
really went for it, like,
graphically.
Yeah, I've never seen anything like that.
I like, I kind of, I didn't mind
the celebration. It was just kind of shocking to see.
Was it Dylan Stewart at South Carolina
that pulled out the shotgun
and just like emptied into Jackson Dart the other year?
Like a, maybe, maybe two years ago?
I remember what you're talking about.
It could be. He,
Well, you saw what he did this weekend.
Yeah.
Did you?
I did.
Yeah.
So we got into, it looked like a couple different fist fights on the field.
He punched an Alabama player.
Then at some point, the coaches tried to take him out of the game and he just refused to come out.
Yep.
And now he's, is he suspended indefinitely?
Definitely, which is, I mean, Bimmer kind of had to do that to save his job.
You can't let it.
Yeah.
You can't let a player be like, no.
I mean, talk about tanking your.
draft stock.
Yeah.
But, I mean, if you can get Dylan Stewart in the third round.
I mean, he's a hell of a player.
What if the Falcons just keep drafting defensive ends who are incredible,
but have very clear character issues?
And, like, bad stuff is probably going to happen, but in the interim, they will get 10 sacks.
I mean, Lawrence Taylor, maybe the best defense player of all time would fit directly into that
comparison.
Sure.
Can you imagine if the internet was around when Lawrence Taylor was like a rookie second year player at New York?
I think a lot of stuff happened in the 80s that you wouldn't have wanted the internet around for.
That is true. Yeah. What else we got in the news today?
Tell us about this F-16 we had in Chicago.
PFT's playing corner in Chicago yesterday. Well, so Trump had a big weekend as a sports fan.
He went to the Tennessee game and then he flew out to the president.
Cup, which was just here in Chicago at Medina.
And while he was in town, I guess they established a no-fly zone over most of Chicago.
And yesterday we were watching the games.
And Jacob, who works on part of my take, he sent me this text of a video of a plane
flying overhead.
He's like, what's going on here?
And I zoomed in on it.
It was an F-16, and it was an F-16 with, it looked like six missiles on it, which you don't
get.
Like, you don't normally get planes like that flying.
over populated areas with like a full armament of of weapons. And so that seemed like, okay,
either this is like a real, like a crazy hands-on simulated war game exercise that we're doing
over downtown Chicago, which seems unlikely, or this F-16 is on some serious business.
It turns out there are how many, how many different planes violated the no-fly zone yesterday?
I don't know how many total. I just saw the, the audio of them talking to the one hell
that that F-16 was going after.
Yeah.
I think there were multiple.
There was a helicopter that was circling and they told it, buddy, you better get the
fuck out of here.
That's got to be terrified.
That's got to be pretty scary.
Yeah.
And in the video I saw of the air traffic control and the military jets talking to him, he didn't
respond.
Now I'm sure he did on some channel or at some point, obviously.
Yeah.
But I mean, I can't imagine.
That's got to be terrifying.
At some level, you're thinking, what if they just shoot me down?
But yeah, I think I read that there were.
like 15 different violations of the airspace or something over Chicago, which means that they
probably didn't communicate it that well because that's, that's a lot of violations.
Would they do that? What? Would they really shoot down a helicopter? No, no. I mean,
unless they had, they would have to have, like, if he said absolutely nothing, never responded.
But like, obviously, obviously it's not a military aircraft or anything. They would not, unless
there's a chance that if the helicopter was going towards the location of the president.
and it repeatedly refused to turn around or to change course.
And this is probably after like six or seven different warnings,
even like getting up next to it and like trying to make hand motions and shit.
If it was going towards the president or if it was like,
I don't know, maybe flying towards downtown Chicago, like towards a building or something, I don't know.
Well, they were right out there on the lake.
Yeah, right near.
I guess you wouldn't shoot it down if it was above downtown Chicago.
But if it was flying towards the president who was out west of the city in like more of a suburban area and it refused all your warnings to turn around or to land, I think at some point as it's getting close, they probably would shoot it down.
Yeah, you have to at some point.
But it would take a lot to reach that point.
It's not just you better turn around, land, or we will fire upon you and then you give the helicopter like five minutes, 10 minutes.
And if it doesn't move, then he shoot it.
That's not how it work.
If it's over like a residential area or over a city, I don't think that there's,
I don't think that you would shoot it down no matter what.
I don't know.
I mean, yeah, it's pretty crazy just seeing, seeing a plane that was like armed to the teeth
flying over all the buildings and shit downtown here.
I didn't hear it.
I assume I would have heard that.
Oh, yeah.
Dude, it was so loud.
I think it was also flying like right over, right over our buildings.
We're trying to watch some football here.
By the way, that was quite a day of football yesterday.
wasn't it they always are you watch any NFL yesterday a little bit did you catch any of the commander
seahawks game uh i had it on red zone so i saw you know when when they'd get close to the end zone
commander's defense looked really really good good very very excited about that um i think we forced
three turnovers sunny styles might be just a dude that we're going to have at middle linebacker
And it looks so different
Having a good
Like middle linebacker
That's in charge of your defense
Which I don't think I've had since
London Fletcher
Was calling the signals back there
So it's been a while
But having an absolute stud at middle linebacker is great
And it makes the entire team
Just like look a little bit different
The big story coming out yesterday
I think
Or one of the big stories
What's going on with Drake May?
I don't know
I don't know either
Sad stuff
I don't like it
you don't know i don't like it i want i want drake to be you know back at his the peak of his powers
doesn't look like himself right now had um i think he's got seven turnovers this season in three games
which i ran the numbers on it that's actually more turnovers than jaden's had in his entire career
which is kind of crazy um because drake obviously you know maybe the MVP last year it was pretty
close between him and matt stafford so i'm trying to figure out there's something
something wrong with him. If he's hurt,
can't figure it out. I think
you've got to give him time. How much?
I think you give him as much time as he needs.
Maybe even like through the end of this year
and if they lose a bunch of games, then next year the schedule's easy again.
And then he'll go out and light it up again.
There's also, I mean, I can't say all this shit about Drake May without mentioning
the fact that the news came out this morning that Jaden Daniels is making the trip over to
England with the team this week.
and they have not ruled them out for the game on Sunday,
which I feel is maybe not the best idea.
Yeah, I mean, Marcus, Marcus played pretty well.
He played pretty well,
and also every time Jaden gets tackled,
I'm living in fear that his elbow is going to pop out.
I'm sure he is as well.
He probably is, and he's probably going to be wearing a brace.
But so I feel like he's trying to be a tough guy,
and it's just not,
I would love to be wrong about this,
because if the defense can play like it did for Marcus yesterday,
I don't think there's ever been a game that Jaden started at quarterback where the defenses had three takeaways and scored a touchdown.
And I would love to see him play with the defense like that.
So that's kind of where I'm at.
I hope Drake May gets better.
And I hope there's nothing wrong with them in the first place.
Maybe it's just we all have slump sometimes, right?
I'm seeing that Jalen Daniels is now starting for the Bucks.
He is, yes, from Kansas.
A couple of Jay Daniels.
He was good in college.
Yeah.
Fun, fun guy to watch.
He was very fun.
He was smooth.
I feel like you played there forever.
Yeah.
At Kansas.
Did you watch any of the Titans game yesterday?
No, thank God.
Titans Giants, no?
I'm just, I'm curious what's going to happen with Cam Ward.
So when they get the number one pick?
Yeah.
Which seems inevitable.
Yeah.
Do they draft Jeremiah Smith?
or do you...
I don't know what you've seen...
Do you trade it?
I don't know what you've seen from Cam Ward
that would make you want to not draft a quarterback.
Yeah, I don't know.
He was a lot of fun in college.
I like him as a person.
He seems like a good dude.
And he's funny.
He's engaging when he talks about...
He's very honest about how he plays.
He's like, yeah, we suck ass.
Which is great.
That's what you want.
It's what you want to hear in terms of honesty,
but then you don't want to hear him every week be like,
yeah, we sucked ass.
At some point, you'd like to stop.
At some point, it's like, yeah, I get that.
The problem is that you are being honest, and it's an accurate representation.
Like, at some point you stop getting points for that.
And you're moving into a new stadium next year.
You need to sell tickets.
True.
Probably a good time as a franchise to restart your clock.
True.
Number one pick.
Who would you take number one right now?
Right now?
If the draft were tomorrow, the NFL draft were tomorrow?
Yeah, which would be difficult, but.
It would be very, this is a tough choice.
I don't know.
So I don't know that I've seen enough from Arch to make him the number one pick.
No, absolutely not.
Trinidad is the best quarterback, I think.
See, I think.
But he's also old.
And short.
He's not that short.
Was he 511?
Something like that.
Yeah, I mean, I think he's probably about Drew Breeze.
You'd take that.
You'd take a Drew Breeze career.
I don't know who else you would.
put C.J. Carr's up there. Yeah. I guess Julian Sayan is in that conversation at some point.
I don't know that I'd take him first overall. I love Darien Minson. I think he's a ballplayer.
Okay. You think, because I was looking at Heisman odds today. Between Mintsa, Malachi Tony's interesting at 19 to 1.
But then the question is, Jeremiah Smith's playing too well that if it goes to receiver, it has to be him.
You think so?
Yeah.
Now, he's not eligible this year, but Camaro Taylor.
He's unbelievable.
He might be the best quarterback in college football.
He's in the Heisman race.
I think it's Trinidad.
You have to say Trinidad, but Camaro Taylor, based on the small body of evidence that we have right now, is just electric to watch.
I watched, I think, every snap of Miss State, Missouri the other night, and he is unbelievable.
We're going to find out a lot about them the next four weeks.
Alabama, LSU, Oklahoma, and Texas.
Yeah, that's about as tough stretches that come.
So even Oklahoma, which doesn't seem like a great team.
The defense is going to be able to give him some looks he hasn't seen before.
Yeah, if he can win two of those next four games, he could be in the Heisman conversation.
He's so good.
Yeah.
I can't believe he plays at Mississippi.
State. I know. It's awesome. I love it. And it seems like I think it's ridiculous that a reporter
asked him like, hey, what do you think about next year? Like, while he is in the middle of a
season in Mississippi State, I think that's incredibly disrespectful. But I can talk about it because I don't,
you know, whatever. He sounds like he wants to stay there. I think he does. I think he loves
Mississippi State. He said when he was in high school that he prayed about it and he felt God
led him to Mississippi State.
Yeah.
It doesn't sound like somebody that's itching to leave.
I don't think so.
His,
is it his uncle or his cousin was the quarterback?
His uncle, I think.
At Mississippi State.
So he grew up as a Mississippi State fan.
He got obviously recruited by all the big schools.
And he was just never interested.
He was always locked in.
I heard that he would go to like every Mississippi State game,
even when they had that, what, three or four one season.
He was still like on the sidelines just talking about how he can't wait to be part of the group that turns it around.
Like that's not a guy that I think is going to be leaving.
I think they'll probably, they'll be able to make him a competitive offer to stay there.
Maybe not the top offer.
They might not be able to match every school, but they'll come close.
And I think he's going to, I think he's going to stick around.
And I agree with you.
Reporters should not be asking like, hey, where are you going to go next year?
Yeah, I hate that.
His quarterback class, actually pretty good.
He was eighth.
Geron Kiave Sagapultele was seventh, awesome player at Cal.
Deuce Knight was sixth, who went to Auburn,
and now is the backup at Ole Miss, hasn't really played.
Malik Washington was fifth.
He's at Maryland.
He's fine-ish.
They stink.
Hussein Longstreet was fourth.
He went to USC and is now the third-string quarterback at LSU.
But I think Lane thinks he's going to be.
Good.
Yeah, he does.
Tavian St. Clair was number three.
He went to Ohio State.
Is he still the backup there?
I don't remember hearing about him transferring.
Keelan Russell was second, who was awesome.
At Bama and Bryce Underwood was number one.
He'd probably have him ranked lower than that now.
You might.
I think you might even put Camaro Taylor number one.
Yeah, it's between he and Russell.
I think Russell's incredible as well.
Yeah.
I love watching.
That's what's great about college football is when you get schools that you don't expect.
And these magical seasons where you have an electric player puts them in the national conversation.
I hope they keep winning.
I like watching.
I enjoy watching Brandon be happy.
Do you, though?
I do.
Because it's going to get to a point where it becomes not fun.
Yep.
I've thought about where that point is.
Is it this week?
No.
No.
If they beat Bama and they're, what, 5 and 0.
Yeah.
And in the top, if they beat Alabama, they should probably be in the top five.
It's going to be fun.
I think that would be fun.
All right.
So then they're 5 and 0.
Then they go to LSU.
Yep.
If they win that, they're in the playoff.
Probably, yeah.
I mean, they could lose to Texas and Ole Miss and be in.
Maybe, yeah.
I think at that point, still fun.
If they win at Texas on Halloween.
At Texas on Halloween, we're going to have a problem.
Like, we might as well just, we might as well rename the company Brandon Walker Sports.
I was the number one Texas defender coming into the season.
I picked him to win the national championship.
I don't know that they're very good.
No, I think they are.
I think they're good.
They're getting better is a thing.
Like, they're, sure, Arch has the big name, but he's not even close to being their best player.
Cam Coleman has been highly disappointing.
Arch has been disappointing.
The running game's been good.
Really good, yeah.
Colin Simmons is obviously outstanding.
They have Rishin Biles also defensively is great,
but they have not impressed.
They've looked like a top five team for a quarter this season.
One quarter.
Yeah.
I think they'll continue to improve as a season goes on.
But yeah, if Britain wins that football game,
and then it's smooth sailing, Vandy, Auburn, Tennessee Tech,
at Ole Miss will be tough,
but you can lose that and nobody do.
Yeah, it would be an ugly, ugly scene.
But it would also set up Brandon for severe heartbreak.
See, that's what you're banking on, but at some point it no longer becomes funny.
Like it's all right, oh, they're in the playoff now.
Now he's going to get his heartbroken up.
They just beat Oregon.
Okay, well, now it's going to happen.
But no, here's the thing.
Now I'm actually thinking ahead.
And yeah, Brandon's going to be absolutely insufferable.
But list who the playoff teams would be that Mississippi State could play in the playoffs.
I mean, say they finish 9th, 10th, so you would play the number 7 or 18,
with all the automatic and who get, I forget.
But so I mean, right now they'd play what, like, like Bama-ish.
And I would root for, I would root for Mississippi State.
What about the second round?
Okay, we move on.
I don't know.
Now you play Georgia.
When I say Georgia, I would root for the Bulldog,
for Mississippi State.
Again.
Yeah, I would.
I would root for Mississippi State.
You see how you're flying close to the sun.
Against Georgia in the playoffs?
Absolutely, I would.
Yes.
All right.
Semi-final.
Okay.
Now they're playing Ohio State.
You think I'm going to root for Ohio State against Mississippi State in the playoffs.
You keep telling me you want Brandon to have his heart broken,
but now they're in the national championship game.
But in theory, I would like, in theory Brandon produces great content when his heart gets broken.
That's what I'm saying.
Right.
and we're running out of chances in your hypothetical.
But it's not that I want to see, I don't want to, I don't get joy out of Brandon's pain.
It's just that he is very entertaining when he loses.
And that's what I like.
I don't, I don't.
But you don't ever want him to lose, it sounds like.
I'm just, that's, that's the weird spot that I'm in right now.
All right.
National championship.
Is that like, I'm thinking about all the different teams that, that he would have to go through to get to a championship game.
And there's no chance in hell.
hell I'd root for any of those like the blue bloods over a fun upstart like the bulldogs.
So national championship.
It is Miami against Mississippi State.
Yeah.
You're sitting with Brandon.
Mm-hmm.
Who are you rooting for?
I mean, Danny Boy Kane has a banner that's up in this office.
Yeah, Barstall Sports, great people.
They do things right over there.
Class organization.
Yeah.
I don't know that I can turn my back on Danny Boy, Kane.
Right.
I don't know that I can
I thought I want to
Notre Dame
Yes
Sorry, sorry
Sir McKinsey
Yes I would root for the Bulldogs
Over Notre Dame
Yes
In the national championship
Yes you would root for Brandon
To win the national championship
That would also be one of those moments
Where like you should ask
Everybody in America
Who you're rooting for
It would tell you everything you need to know about them
Yeah that's true
Right but those are people who don't have a personal connection to it
Yeah I know I mean I keep
That's what I keep fighting is
I want Brandon's
very funny when he loses. Like the loss
against Texas was great.
I mean, that was a perfect confluence we could never
recreate. No, all-time moment.
And he has a knack of doing that
during the most heartbreaking moments, which is a compliment to
Brandon. But
I don't know that I could
that would not outweigh it for me
like the cool story that would go along with him
and the Bulldogs
triumphing over
like a Georgia of the world.
or an Ohio state of the world or a Notre Dame of the world.
Miami is a fun team too, and I like them.
And it's not like they've won a bunch of national championships recently.
But yeah, I don't know.
Which of those teams that I just named would you root for over Brandon Walker, Mississippi State?
I mean, in the hypothetical, it was teams I really hate, so I don't know.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
But I don't want Brandon to win the national championship.
If they were in the national championship game, I don't care who it was against.
I'd be there with bells on for that team.
Yeah.
Ole Miss.
Yeah, I don't give it.
I don't care about Ole Miss.
Ole Miss versus Mississippi State you would root for Ole Miss.
With gusto.
Why?
Because I don't want Brandon to win a national championship.
Mincy.
Now, that is something I had not considered.
How did you not consider it?
That's a big part of it.
Because I was locked in on Brandsie.
Okay, okay, got you.
Yeah, I don't know.
I don't know.
Yeah, see?
I don't know.
I mean, that would be,
if Dave Portnoy made a deal with the devil,
as has been speculated many times,
that's what's going to happen this year.
I mean, it might be,
it might be a top 10 matchup when they play in the regular season.
I mean, yeah, it might just be,
we might just get a great matchup regular season.
What if that's for a playoff spot?
Yeah.
What if they're both nine and two?
It could be.
What if that's the...
At that point, that is a national championship game.
Yeah.
To those fan bases.
Yes, the nation of Mississippi.
Nine and two, nine and two egg bowl for the last spot in the playoff.
That is...
That's bigger than the national championship.
Yeah.
If you ask them, would you rather win this or somehow sneak into the playoff at nine and three?
And like, I guarantee you a spot in the national championship game.
They both say win that.
Yep.
And then I will be fading whichever team wins in the playoff right after that game.
game. Letdown spot? Big time let down spot. Yeah, college football playoff. Big let down
spot. Because you're right. It actually, I think it would be a let down spot. I mean, you saw what
happened to Ole Miss after their big emotional game last week. Did see that. Yep, did see it.
How about, I mean, it's kind of embarrassing that I have to bring it up. I was thinking that maybe
somebody on this podcast would have asked me about this. You know what I'm going to talk about?
I sure don't. J.MU.
J.MU has three teams right now that could be in the college football playoff.
And the worst one is the best one, if that makes sense.
Indiana.
You're saying that J.MU, UCLA and Indiana could all make the playoffs.
Correct. And they all just chock full of J.MU kids.
The worst one of the group, not worst.
They would be, well, they might not be UCLA.
The worst bet to make the playoff, I would say right now is Indiana.
Yeah, they haven't looked super impressive.
They struggled against Northwestern.
I got a lot of confidence in SIG.
He'll get the boys in the shape.
But yeah, they've been a little disappointing.
UCLA, they might just be really good.
This is the other thing you have to consider
when we're talking about Tennessee right now
and Faison Brandon.
UCLA is a wagon with Nico, whom I hate.
Florida in year one is laying waste to people.
and they don't even throw the ball.
They just run it down your throat every single play.
It's insane.
So I'm dealing with a lot on both sides.
And then we're just here in the middle.
And I need to get back to that.
Yeah.
It's pretty cool seeing what Bob Chesney's doing at UCLA.
And Nico, listen, before the season started,
I took UCLA to beat their projected wind total,
which I believe was five and a half.
feeling good about that.
I also took Nico as a Dark Horse Heisman quarterback,
but he has not been the reason why they're winning football games.
So it's not like he has it.
You don't need to worry about Nico all of a sudden becoming like a superstar quarterback.
I know, but the team is great.
And they could be, he has 820 yards, four touchdowns, two picks and a QBR of 33.4.
I didn't realize it was that bad.
But, I mean, the team is incredible.
Wayne Knight is one of the best running backs in the country.
Yeah.
JM UCLA.
Yeah, JM UCLA.
We got 10 guys there.
Forget how many guys we got at Indiana,
but last year we had like basically an entire roster.
So JMIU is also undefeated.
That's good.
And then J.M.U. Harrisonburg is also undefeated.
The satellite main campus.
The satellite and main campuses.
JME UCLA might be one of the best team.
I might be getting ahead of myself with this,
because Maryland sucks, like you put it.
Yes, they did.
But the ability for a team that is not really experienced
winning that much recently.
with UCLA to go on the long road trip to Maryland and to drop a 50 burger on them
and just beat the piss out of them for an entire afternoon.
They were an early game too, right?
Yeah.
Were they 3.30?
I don't remember.
But just beat the piss out of them for an afternoon.
That tells you that they're a force that should be reckoned with.
We're going to figure out what's going on two weeks.
Play Oregon.
At Oregon.
They have a buy.
Both teams have a buy, I think.
and then Bob Chessie is not afraid to go into Oregon.
No.
Put up 500 yards last time.
And then Raola looks like he's going to be the quarterback at Oregon moving forward because...
Yeah, unfortunate.
Dante Moore took a shot.
What's up?
I said for unfortunate, I'm not saying that Raola was playing, just Dante Moore.
Yeah, Dante Moore took a shot against UCLA, head bounced off the turf, and UCLA proceeded to...
USC proceed to dance around.
I don't know, was the safety, was he doing the duck wings?
Or was he simulating?
He was doing a lot.
And I, I actually, if, if, if, if, if, if he had shown, like, concern and remorse, the hit was not.
It's bad.
He slid late.
He was going.
It was a, it was a, it was a, obviously more got hurt.
It was a bad hit.
It was not the dirtiest hit I've ever seen.
Yeah, I've seen worse.
But he proceeded to, like, celebrate and prance around and, like, mock the teammates concerned for their
quarterback lying.
on the ground motionless.
Like that was crazy.
That was bad.
I know that stat hole, one of the guys that helps us out with some weird stats,
has been on this for at least the last couple of years.
I agree with them.
I don't think quarterback should slide.
I think it's bad.
I think it's overall a negative for quarterbacks to be sliding to avoid big hits.
Because if you slide, what does it do?
It puts, so your center of gravity goes on your ass as you're sliding and you lay back.
and any contact that's made to your upper body at all in that position is going to result in your head slamming off the ground.
You are putting your head where guys are taught to tackle to avoid your head.
Yes.
Yeah.
So number one, it's putting your head in the strike zone.
Correct.
Where you're going to get hit.
Number two, it's putting your body in a position where all you have supporting your upper body staying up is like your abs.
Right.
Your stomach weight.
And so if anybody hits you in your shoulder, it's going to drive your head, the back of your head directly into the ground.
And you're going to get a concussion or traumatic brain injury.
So I feel like the best way, you know who's really good at going down to,
to like avoid contact, Lamar Jackson.
You know what he does?
He goes down head first and he like dives almost at the player's feet.
Yeah, I mean.
And he controls himself on the way down and he like puts his body at an angle or he might
take a hit every now and again.
But usually he's not going to be diving towards the area where some.
somebody's already leading with their head.
And I think it's safer for everybody involved.
So maybe band sliding for quarterbacks.
Is there a way to just like give quarterbacks a fair catch signal?
Like if they just throw both their arms up, the play's dead.
If they throw the ball up in the air.
I don't have any more.
That would create some controversy, but.
But no, what if it would be intentional?
Like underhanded toss straight up in the air, like you're sending up a flare.
Be like, don't hit me.
I'm pussy.
Don't hit me. I mean, it might be better than what we got right now.
Because I really do think that the slide is, it's not good. And you're taught to do it like,
oh, you're going to preserve yourself. You're going to avoid taking big shots. Yeah, well,
maybe guess what, it's football. So you're going to get tackled. And guys are coming full speed
going right at where you are going to slide. Yeah, and we're asking defenders to do something,
which is physically impossible. Now, after the fact, you should not do what that guy did.
Yes, I agree with that. And then that's suspended for a game, I saw.
Suspended and, um, yeah.
Yeah, I mean, I can't believe that it didn't turn into a brawl.
Would have been fully justified.
Yeah.
Dan Lanning looked like he was about to try to go kick his ass.
Yeah.
And what did Dan Lanning say after the game?
Oh, if you want to win football games, come to Oregon.
If you want to go to Chris Brown concerts, go to USC.
Yeah.
Pretty good quote.
Firm, but fair.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I'll agree with that.
And now Dylan Rayola takes over for the ducks.
He looked good.
What a story that could be.
He looked very good for Oregon.
All right.
What else we got today?
Mark Zuckerberg had a comment saying that in five years,
everyone's going to have a personal AI agent that controls your whole life.
That wouldn't happen to, like, be financially beneficial to Mark Zuckerberg, would it?
I think it probably would.
If that happened, okay.
Yeah.
Okay.
I mean, is his theory that in five years you're going to have somebody that, like, books all your
shit for you.
Because I know some people.
He seemed to say everything.
He said it will know how your goals and how you think and know how to control your life.
So I know that a lot of people use AI to book like plane tickets or to book reservations
at restaurants or to try to do those things.
But to do a lot of this stuff, don't you have to, wouldn't the agents then have to trick
some of the apps into not thinking that they were a bot?
I saw one guy who had an AI doing customer service for him on Home Depot or something.
And the AI demanded to speak to a human in the chat.
That's awesome.
Which is fun.
So it's an Uncle Tom, but for robots.
Yeah.
Uncle Rom.
That's good.
Yeah.
That's disgusting.
Ram.
Yeah.
Absolutely.
disgusting behavior by that bot.
I did see one the other day that was, I think it was talking to a task, like he was on TaskRabbit,
trying to book someone for something.
And it ran into a problem where it was asked to do a capture, you know, the things where
only humans can see what's on the screen.
And the bot asked the Tasker to log into his own account to solve the captcha.
because the bot was like, I'm, I'm disabled and I can't, I don't see real well.
I've fallen and I can't get up?
Yeah.
So can you please do that?
And then the tasker was like, wait, are you a bot?
And the bot was like, no, no.
I just have bad eyesight.
No, I'm not a bot.
Me?
Do you think they know that, that we don't want them to be bots?
Like, I'm sure you could tell it like, be a human.
Don't ever, don't ever say your robot.
but just inherently.
Yeah.
I think it figured that out
because it was lying.
Yeah.
About whether or not.
And I think it was told
that it couldn't do
a lot of those things.
And so it was like
trying to cover its tracks
by pretending not to be a bot.
But because it had figured out
that its most important mission
in order to solve that,
it would be easier
if it operated
under the disguise of being a human.
So,
yeah.
Did you see?
the last story I sent you?
The last story you sent over,
I have not read about that yet,
but I'm interested in hearing more about it.
There was a TikTok that went very viral
of a British woman
talking about the prices of drinks at Auschwitz,
and she was none too pleased
that I believe she said nine pounds
for two bearers.
And she was very upset about that and lamenting it in a TikTok.
Okay.
I have several questions about this.
What kind of beverages were they?
I believe one was a strawberry smoothie that she said was very watered down.
I don't recall the other.
Because they don't serve alcohol, do they?
No, it was like a, it was like a water and a smoothie.
So people aren't, they're not getting fucked up.
I don't think so.
No.
a concentration camp.
I don't think so.
Okay.
So $9 for two drinks?
Nine pounds.
I think it's 12 bucks.
Yeah, I mean, that's, I think you just got a, that's the world that we live in right now.
And even if you're upset about it.
You don't, you kind of just have to say.
It is what it is.
I'm also assuming that the, the places that sell drinks at Auschwitz are not doing it, like the money is going to the cause.
of preserving the concentration camp as a historical, educational site, right?
You would think.
I don't, yeah, you don't have, I don't think you complain about that.
She also recommended tourists bring their own beverages when visiting the camp.
She's very, did she go to, very upset about us?
Did she log on to Yelp?
No, she made a TikTok.
Okay, but like, so did she, because those, those people crack me up, too, the ones that look at themselves.
as being like power users.
Are people still on Yelp like that?
Yeah, I also don't think that a star system would be appropriate for her complaint.
But yes, people are definitely on Yelp because I went to a restaurant this weekend.
I heard really good things about, looked it up before I went,
and the top review that was on there was one of the funniest things I've ever seen.
This lady was complaining because the owner of the cafe did not make the rounds
while she was there eating
and did not go table to table
introducing herself
to all the paying customers.
And she was very upset about that.
See, I've been...
So you gave two stars, two star rating
at what's a fantastic restaurant
because she thought that as a power user of Yelp,
the owner of the restaurant
should have taken upon herself
to stop by her table and say hello,
thank you for coming.
Well, that's perfectly reasonable.
I've been to restaurants that I love
and restaurants that I've hated.
and on neither extreme have I ever felt the urge to leave a review.
Yeah.
I don't, like, there's a restaurant in Chicago.
Madeline and McKenzie and I have been there many times.
It's one of my favorites I've ever been to in my life.
I love it.
And I can't fathom the experience I'd have to have that would lead me to leave a review.
And I've been to restaurants that I hate.
And I, same way.
I would never, I would never leave one.
The only times I can remember leaving a review.
for things or if like somebody specifically asks me to if they let's say they they went above and
beyond and they were able to like I showed up to one time to get a haircut and the person was like
we're really busy I'm going to try to work in if I can I was like okay cool I hang out because it's
last minute and eventually he found a way to get me in the chair got me in and out he's like yeah
I appreciate a review on Google or whatever no problem QR code right there scan it five
stars, great haircut. Boom, I'm out. In that situation, I would probably click five stars. I would still
never write anything. I think I just did great, great haircut. And I did that one time with a tow truck
company because like tow truck, they're worth their weight in gold. You can find a good one.
Somebody shows up, saves your life. Yeah, wouldn't you need it? Yeah, when you need it. So I was like,
yeah, it'll absolutely do it. But yeah, I've never understood the power of users, or power review
users on, on Yelp. Like, who gives, the, the real people we should be on the, the real people we should be
on the lookout for are people that have given a three and four star rating to things.
Those are the ones you should watch out for.
Because they're in it too much?
I get, I get leaving a five star rating.
Sure.
Oh my God.
I'm going to take my phone out.
I'm going to log online.
This was amazing.
Great job.
I hope you make a lot of business or make a lot of money.
I hope you do a lot of business.
I'm going to put my stamp approval.
This was awesome.
Five stars.
I want to spread the word.
I want to help people that delivered such a great experience.
I can also understand somebody that's like, they, they actively made my life worse by going to this place.
I despise this establishment with every fiber of my being, one star.
I understand that.
I would never personally do that, but I get it.
Somebody that's like three stars, I'm going to write a few paragraphs about it.
That person has, they think way too highly of themselves.
Yeah, psycho behavior.
Psycho behavior where it's like, I'm going to.
fix everything that's wrong with this play they you know what they they could learn a lot from my
opinions on how to run their business so i'm going to log on and write a paragraph about it those
people should not be trusted take away their their accounts yeah that's fair enough um do you have
any voicemails today yes let's burn a couple of voicemails how was your guys weekend it was great
anything fun i was at a wedding in newport beach seeing how the other half lives good times good
Lovely, lovely weather. That's Southern California. I get it, guys. I understand what you're up to over there.
Yeah. I mean, even the biggest haters in the world, they'll go to Southern California one time and they'll be like, okay, well.
I understand what you're up. I get it. It's like this every day? Yeah. Okay. All right. Fair enough.
I understand what you're doing. I can't imagine being rich there.
How, yeah, but how rich do you have to be?
Really rich. Yeah, to feel like you're living it up in new.
Newport Beach.
Really, really rich.
Like eight figures a year, I would think.
That's a lot of figures.
Yeah.
But, I mean, my God, is it lovely to cosplay for a weekend?
Yeah.
You could be rich there.
I could be rich.
You could be rich there.
No, I don't think I'm not that level.
You could be upper middle class there.
I could, yeah.
Which is a great life, I'm sure.
It's on taxes.
Yeah, you pay a lot of taxes here, though.
I know.
So what's the difference?
that point. Yeah. You know what? I actually think there's something to being a little bit
uncomfortable. I think being comfortable all the time is bad for you. Like, are you talking about
the winters of Chicago uncomfortable? That's part of it, yeah. I think if it's too good all the time
and you don't have any stress in your life, when you get a dog, if it's especially a smart dog,
you have to take it out you have to exhaust it taking on long walks throw the stick for it throw the
ball get uh mental activity puzzles and mats for it you got train it and teach as many tricks as you
can do because if that dog gets bored it's going to start biting their own paws and bleeding
and and uh tearing up the floorboards in the house and just getting neurotic as shit
if you take that same theory with humans which i kind of do believe if ever
everything is too comfortable, you're going to invent things that make you uncomfortable.
And there are going to be things that are utterly inconsequential that you'll drive yourself
crazy over.
And at that point, you've kind of lost the plot of being a human being.
So I like being a little bit uncomfortable.
And yeah, winners have something to do with it?
Do I wish that the winners were maybe like 50% shorter?
Yeah.
But it also makes it harder to get mad about sports and care about sports.
and care about sports.
Yeah, if it's super good all the time
because you're like, why am I going to watch,
why am I going to watch the sports ball on TV?
I can go for a hike, which hiking's fine.
But ultimately, in order to live in our illusion of a life
where we just, we care so much about our teams,
I think it can't be that great outside all the time.
Right. Like hiking didn't beat Michigan this weekend.
That's true. Yeah.
You know?
Yeah.
But hey, if you're an Iowa fan,
Ask those people, like, would you rather have spent the day on the beach or beating Michigan?
They'll say beating Michigan every time.
Exactly.
But if they lived in a, if Iowa was perfect weather with an ocean, a big part of that fan base would be like, I don't even know that we played Michigan.
Right.
And not that someone like Peter Thiel lives in, I believe he's probably Silicon Valley, but Peter Thiel-esque people, if you're kind of in that weather all the time and it's just beautiful, it's like I have to do something evil to counteract what's going.
Yeah, I got to mix it up.
I have to study the Antichrist.
Yeah, I think that's why Anthropic got started
because it's just like...
Hand me my Antichrist reading material.
Yeah, something's got to give.
Yeah, I saw an interview with Peter Thiel the other day.
Oh, where he thinks being evil is actually a good thing?
Well, yeah, there was that one, which is a wild thing to say.
And also where he was, it seems like he's splitting with Trump now.
What do you mean?
Well, he was talking about how it's been a corrupt regime and none of the things.
things that they wanted to get done have gotten done.
And he's utterly puzzled by like, he was blindsided by all this.
I'm sorry, this is the first I've seen of this quote from Peter Thiel.
And I quote, if you're evil, you're not bad.
You're actually maybe kind of good.
Y'all, end quote.
Yeah.
You guys, you've seen this.
What is he talking about?
Being evil.
But more specifically.
I think his point is that actually being bad is good.
Because he, at least you're trying.
I picked up on that.
Because in the moment, a lot of times people are doing bad things.
But if you zoom out, it's actually good as a whole that they're doing bad things.
Okay, he starts it out by saying if you're evil, you're actually kind of competent.
Yes.
That, okay, that might be true.
So he's saying evil is better than stupid.
If you have a bad, mean idea and you put it into practice, you have to have some sort of follow-through and motivation and ability to plan and work that plan in order to get your bad thing in motion.
If you are, quote, if you're evil and you're at least competent, maybe you're actually kind of good because you're at least getting something done.
99% of businesses, companies, people, political leaders, business leaders are totally incompetent.
So productivity is actually the source of good versus evil to Peter Thiel noted evil person.
So he's like, well, at least I'm doing something.
Yeah.
Lazy motherfuckers.
I see what he's going for.
Still a bad quote.
Well, Google's motto for a long time was like, don't be evil.
And Peter Thiel is a competitor in a way for a lot of the same contracts.
So he's like, we have to differentiate ourselves.
He might be the Antichrist.
He might be evil.
I mean, he is.
Actually, I know he is evil.
He doesn't care, though, that is evil.
That's what makes it worse, though.
It's like the Wall Street, greed is good speech that he gave, which, by the way, like, people misinterpret that a lot.
That speech was supposed to be like a warning, not an endorsement.
I don't know what this speech is.
Of greed.
Michael Douglas and Wall Street.
Got to watch that movie.
Yeah.
Talks about greed being good.
And how like things happen.
Because you're working for something.
Greed makes things happen in this world and innovation happens because of greed.
And that's kind of what-
It's just capitalism.
It's kind of what Peter Thiel is saying here.
And I don't know.
Teal seems like he's turned a little bit against Trump.
And I think they're reading the writing on the wall when it comes to what the midterms might look like.
And then Tucker has also-
Well, I mean.
Tucker is it might be a lib
Yeah
Well and Candice Owens
And Candice Nick Fuentes
Well he said vote blue
Did he?
Yeah like a couple months ago
I think he said that like last year too
Or two years ago
Yeah
But he's he's been
Honestly making
Listen I'm not a Nick Fuentes fan
But objectively
I've seen some clips of them recently
Where he like he was talking about
The University Texas football game
Where they had the one picture
in the crowd of a bunch of Indian students
who were like wearing cowboy hats,
etc., etc. And he was pointing out
that, yeah, ultimately, like,
the things that we've been told, why we should
think that this could be a bad picture
or a bad visual, none of them
passed the test. It's like they, this is
a group of students who,
if they're not immigrants, they're
like children of immigrants
or at some point
their family's immigrated to America,
but they've assimilated and they're fans of football
and this is,
what we've been told we should be rooting for.
So obviously the people that have a problem with it,
it's not about that.
It's just about the color of their skin,
which is absolutely 100%.
Oh, dead on.
100% right about that.
And also, like, after,
I lived in Austin for about 10 years,
there are a lot of Indian students that go to Texas.
And they're like die hard Texas longhorns,
basketball and football fans.
So if you have a problem with that picture,
that tells me way more about you.
Not a ball no way.
Not a ball number.
Yeah.
Yeah. Peter Thiel is such an interesting character to me because it's like, is he just like capitalism personified and like this is just what capitalism is? Like this is late stage capitalism?
No, it's a car. Or it's like is he a whole entire different beast? And I don't even know. I mean, obviously he represents technically like he could represent genuinely the end of the world. I think it's not he's not capitalism personified because there's a lot.
lot of good capitalists out there, a lot of great business owners. He's just, uh, evil.
I was trying to think of the right. Arrogance doesn't even seem to like he is legitimately.
It's a lack for humankind. Like he believes that he is the center of the universe. Like everything
that's happening. And that's why I don't buy a lot of the AI Dumeers right now. And we've talked
about a lot of different like doomsday cults of the show before. And they, the one thing that we've
always said about him, everyone that's lived has thought, I'm so important that the end of the
world is going to happen while I'm alive. No offense to Christians, as which I am one, but like,
when people get all the second coming, he's on his way because I'm here. Yeah. And this is like
kind of the same thing where we think that the world is going to end. And a lot of it has to do with the
fact that we're alive during it. And so we want to believe that we were out of, you know,
billions of years of the planet existing and billions of people, we're special enough
that we're, that the world is going to end during our lifetime. But yeah, Peter, he, he thinks
that, yeah, this is like study with the Antichrist and all that stuff is, it just, it's concerning
because he does think that he was put on Earth to change it forever. And not in a good way.
Right. Not in a good way. Just in a way.
Yeah. Some would say bad way.
Yep.
Yeah.

This is George calling from Jersey.
This is actually a question for Big T.
I'm getting married November 22nd.
I know you recently got married with Alto.
Congratulations.
I'm just really curious if you have any, you know, tips or pointers.
for guys, you know, just getting going in their marriage.
And, yeah, like any underrated things you don't think about.
But appreciate y'all.
Love you.
First time calling.
Peace.
Hello, George.
Congratulations.
I just checked November 22nd is a Sunday.
Okay.
Which in Jersey, I would feel like, is the equivalent of a Saturday in the South.
For NFL reasons?
I wonder if this is North Jersey or South Jersey?
South Jersey, like, that's birds day.
Right.
You said November what?
22nd, he said.
Let's see.
But in terms of the question George asked,
I think it's,
I think you will learn that
in the last two weeks,
like you think you've been planning the wedding,
you haven't.
It's actually such a sham
everything you've done to this point is 80% of it's totally meaningless.
The last two weeks you'll do everything you need.
So that was a bit eye-opening.
In terms of the day, just enjoy it.
It's very fun.
It's very, it was jarring when I like came into the reception and you just see all the people that are there.
It's weird.
Like y'all were there
My family
My wife's family
Like friends
It's just it's super weird
Because like I know all these people
But y'all don't know
95% of the people
It's it's cool
It's very
It's fun
So just enjoy it
And it goes by very quickly
I actually said to my wife yesterday
Like
now that we've done a wedding
I could do such a
better wedding. Yeah. Like we should do another one because I, because the only, I think our wedding was
really fun, but I could make it even, you know, that one percent better now that I've done it.
And you don't get a chance to do that. Did people offer you unsolicited advice on your wedding as
you were planning it? Oh, I'm sure. I don't recall. Well, I do recall some off the top of my head.
Did you listen to any?
Not really. I think we pretty much did.
everything the way we wanted to do it. Yeah, no, I don't, I don't think so. None that I remember
anyway. Yeah, because I think that's the thing is like people, like you just said, people get
married are the best ones that could give advice. But while you're in the process of planning a
wedding, you don't want to hear advice from anybody. I was so happy. I said to my wife at some
point when we were on our honeymoon, I was like, I'm so happy that every conversation I have now
is not about the wedding. Because to the people that are talking to about it, they don't talk about it
that often, right? It's 1% of their conversations is with you about the wedding. For me,
it's every conversation I'm having with you is about the wedding. And I would like it to stop.
Yep. So once you get to that point, it's awesome. And then- So what would you do different?
though. Like now that you have the, now that you got one wedding under your belt, if you get married again.
I was not happy with the DJ.
Oh, what? Um, yeah, I was, I was not thrilled. I, I would have done exactly what I said.
We should do. I would have, I would have made a playlist. I said, you, you hit play. And it's this, this, this, this, this.
Um, I don't know, just like the whole, the whole thing. I feel like we could make it even better.
Now that you know what goes wrong. You know, you know, you know, you know.
you know what to expect that's the other thing is you've never done it before and so you don't really know
what it's going to be like even if you've been to other people's weddings it's remarkably different
when it's your own yeah obviously and uh yeah it's just it's it's the definition of a unique
experience so it's it's cool it's fun what's the next trend in weddings what are we seeing right now
i i think just as as much money as you
you can possibly spend. I think they've, you thought they'd maxed out the money and it's just like,
you know, in 2026 or in 27, we're doing more money. I think, I think we're going to see a backlash
to that. We have to see a backlash to that eventually. I think the pendulum has to swing back.
It has to swing back and swing back hard where people will actually celebrate not spending money
on a wedding. I'm hoping that pendulum swings by the time I get married. That would be nice.
But see, I see some of those on TikTok, girls being like at our wedding, we're doing
Chili's is catering.
And we're going to have this.
And people are like, I would never do that.
That's so tacky.
It's like, why do you care?
That's what I'm saying is like, you're not going to be there.
That mentality of like, oh, that's so tacky.
I think that's going to change sometime soon.
It has to change because we've reached the point where it is, it is completely unsustainable for people to get married.
I think in normal society, that could be the case.
But on social media, it will never be the case.
So who's funding these people?
Therefore, people will never, you'll never see it from the outside.
Shout out, shout out Jake Marsh.
Shout out future Mrs. Positions.
I can't believe.
Excuse me.
Is there a, is there a Mrs. positions?
That was a wild post by our boy, Jake.
But congratulations to him.
I'm hoping by the time he gets married, that pendulum will have started to swing back
where he's not expected to, like, try to go into debt for the rest of his life for one day.
It's got, it has to.
It has to.
It's gotten so out of hand now.
That at some point...
It's like the housing market.
Unless people are getting paid to be like promoting expensive weddings and getting expensive...
Yeah, like the housing market.
I think that's 100% happening.
That's what the influence...
PFT, the influencers are having their wedding sponsored.
Oh, God.
Like, there was an influencer who got married this summer who I would...
Like, she had one makeup brand sponsor.
Okay.
That's actually not...
And then...
Terrible.
Like, she had different...
vendors be like sponsored.
Yeah.
Or they had like their after party was sponsored by poppy, the like prebiotic soda.
Okay.
So everyone had poppy at the after party.
So that's not that's not terrible.
I was thinking that.
No, but that's what's happening.
Yeah.
If there's like if there's like banners hanging up or like on the on the programs at the wedding, it's got like logos, that would be that would be tough.
But yeah.
If it's going to like knock a few thousand dollars off total,
if you're going to serve poppy drinks instead of like Coke, go for it.
I think the other big trend right now is that it's a weekend.
Yeah, don't like that.
It's a several-day event.
Yeah, that's the other thing.
Because there's the welcome party or the rehearsal dinner, whatever.
And then there's sometimes depending on when you get married,
there's something in the morning.
and then there's the getting ready
and then the actual wedding
and then the reception
and then the after party
and then the next day
the new thing is the Survivor's brunch
I don't know how long
that's been around
that's new to my wedding
that's the first time
I've heard it called that
but I have seen people
people doing a day after thing
and I'm like I will not be there
yeah like a Survivor's brunch
so then that I mean that's a Friday
to Sunday event
yeah
that's the new thing
is it's like
it's the wedding weekend
not your wedding day.
Yeah, I think we need to get back to rehearsal dinner is the people who absolutely have to be there.
Yeah.
Otherwise, there's no, if you want to get together with your friends that you're going into town for a wedding forward that night, that's awesome.
Go do that.
That's on you.
Correct.
And then there's the wedding, and then you've gone to the wedding, and that's it.
That is currently not what is happening.
No, I know.
Yeah, the Survivor's brunch is kind of the newest uptick I've seen.
And I don't usually, I don't usually go to.
to them because it's like most of the time these weddings I'm going to aren't in Chicago so it's
like mama's got a plane to catch but those are happening currently I don't know yeah I don't remember
the last time I stuck around on like a Sunday after a wedding yeah like let me just I'm brutally
hungover let me go hang out with you guys some more yeah although I will say this guy's getting
married on a Sunday I'm going to a wedding in a few weeks that's on a Sunday is Sunday
wedding the new trend. I'm going to one in a month too. Are you going on a holiday weekend?
No. Columbus Day? Oh, I don't know. Mine's, no. I couldn't tell you. I didn't know Columbus Day was coming up.
Yeah, actually, now that you say that. We don't get, you know, we're not off, so it's not on my radar.
When is Columbus Day? It's usually, what, the second weekend in October? October 12th. It actually is that
weekend. Yeah, so that would, like, that makes sense to do a Sunday wedding the day before Columbus Day.
Yeah.
Okay.
Smart move.
That makes it a little more, that makes a little more sense.
Smart move.
All right.
Well, we will see you guys on Thursday.
Until then.
Love you guys.
Goodbye.
