All right, we are back. It is macrodosing. It is Tuesday. It is October 13th. We got myself. We got Aaron. We got Big Tea. We got Mad Dogg. We got McKenzie. And there's a lot to get into today. First of all, congratulations, Aaron. Winner of game one. You're Milwaukee Brewers. They don't lose.
We ain't walking too high, man. But, you know, we ain't the brewers from last year.
So, you know, we had to put it on them first game.
Hyped though.
Very hype.
Yeah.
I mean, that was a nail biter in game one.
Pitcher's duel.
It was.
It was.
We had some good pitchers.
Who was the dude?
The left had her they had?
Stubel.
We almost had him in a trade I learned earlier.
Yeah.
Yeah, Brewers were going after him.
Yeah.
But sad he's going to be on the wrong side of history, but it's all right.
We hype.
Yeah, it was a good.
great it was a great game one um each team had some some opportunities early on they put i think
loaded the bases another time at least runners on first and second some big double plays to get
out of jams yeah but it was it was a fun game it was a fun low scoring game and yeah people in
Milwaukee have to be excited i mean they were the best team in baseball all season long and uh still
the underdogs still the underdogs yep they got to be a billion dollar roster they got to be the
favorite in the series now, right? There's no way the Dodgers are favored down one.
Down one? I don't know. Surely not. If they are, I'm checking. I think they still are.
I don't know. If they are, I would, I will be getting a taste of the brewers.
Let's take a look. Series props. Brewers are minus 130. Dodgers are plus 110.
Okay, so it's about even. All right. I mean, that's a nice little favorite.
A little favorite. Small favorite. But yeah, that was a fun game one. Congratulations. And are you going to
go to any games? I was going to go to one of these ones, but I have to do something with my kids
in Arizona, I'll leave Thursday. But if they make it to the World Series, I'm absolutely going to go
if I can find me a ticket. Cool, cool. And then- If they play Tampa Bay, go down to Florida,
you'll have no problem getting tickets. It's the World Series. They're going to be packed.
Buddy, it's the ALCS tonight, and I saw a map, a lot of blue dots on that seat map.
Yeah, they got blue dots.
that? Yeah, they, their fans don't, they don't fill that ballpark very often. And it's not a
big ballpark. Damn, man, it's the semis? What's the, what's up with that? Yeah. I have a few,
it'll, it'll be full. Yeah. I think for the World Series it should be. They'll put them on sale this
afternoon or so. It's like every town gets really into hockey if their team makes a run for the
raise, because they've, they've had a lot of nice runs. I feel like if once they get to the
World Series, then, then all the former wrestlers start showing up.
make a spectacle out of it.
They filled the drop.
Gruden's got to be there at some point.
Gruden has to be. Gruden, that's a good point.
I'd like to see Gruden more vocal.
He was there against the Yankees.
Nice.
I think he threw the first pitch.
Oh, well, then I take it back.
I did not, I was not aware of that.
That's about as present and vocal as you can be.
Yeah, he's a raised guy.
Mad Dog, congratulations.
Thank you.
Your guardians.
Yeah.
What a comeback that was down to nothing.
And then I read that in the course of those five games.
The Guardians struck out the White Sox more than any team has ever been struck out in a five consecutive game series.
Not postseason or regular season.
I don't know about the whole entire games.
See, that makes sense because I didn't know about the whole entire series, but the game five was the most strikeouts in a single big game, nine inning game of baseball ever.
Yeah.
With 21.
21, yeah.
Which was awesome.
No, I'm really excited.
I'm nervous about the raise, but like, it's exciting that we're even here.
Yeah.
Because it's not like we had 100 one season or anything.
No.
How many ways did you have?
I think, I think, 86.
That's a nice little season, but yeah.
You guys were not like dominant.
I mean, we barely won the division.
We were 85 and 77.
Yeah.
So we were 70 games of 500.
But, yeah, I'm excited.
I mean, beating the White Sox, I thought it made it sweeter that it was a division in division series like that.
And we play them a lot and we know them very well.
And obviously the White Sox had a lot of hype and God behind them.
But the power of friendship prevails.
I'm very, very, very excited.
Protestantism.
And, like, Cleveland's a Catholic city.
It is.
That's true, yeah.
But, like, the Pope shines down on those he deems worthy, I guess.
But no, I'm really excited.
That was a really cool game.
Game five was really, really awesome.
That Jose pitch was nuts.
Was it like a, like 10 inches off the ground?
Yeah, it was 0.74 inches or 0.74 feet off the ground.
So, like, yeah, 9, 10 inches.
Home run pitch.
No, bro.
So it was sick.
It literally was.
It literally was.
Like, and I've seen those, I mean, obviously, I've watched.
to watch a lot of baseball, but I've seen those golf swings before, and usually they're just
kind of like, if you make contact, they're a lot of pop fly or whatever. And I think the
progressive field is the only stadium where that goes out. That's crazy. In the country. So I'm
really excited. It's really cool. They're a fun team. Are you going to go to any games?
I don't think so. It's hard to get back to Cleveland on a weekday and then turn it around.
like having game five on like a Saturday night was helpful for like Tate got to go with White Toc's Dave and like all of them and like Zupi went who's our other Guardians fan and Dom didn't even get to go and he is like the the guy.
So maybe if it got like really crazy and it was like game six or seven or seven would be in Tampa, but maybe.
but I don't know if I can do the drive back.
And unlike Tampa, Cleveland will pack the house.
Yes.
So what's the schedule going to be this week?
It's going to be...
So tonight's game one.
It's just every other day.
Yeah, it's schedule.
They just alternate nights.
Tonight's game one.
Tonight's game one.
And then game two is tomorrow.
Okay.
And then they have Wednesday off.
Then game three is on Thursday.
And then that's when they go to Cleveland.
game four in Cleveland and then it goes from there if necessary.
Oh, they're not doing every other day?
No, they're doing Monday, Tuesday, off, Thursday, Friday.
Got it.
But they're staggered, so there's one game each day.
I got you tickets for game five if you want to go.
No, shut up.
The Friday game, whatever game that is.
No shut up.
Two tickets if you want to go.
No shut up.
Do you want to go?
What the fuck?
Wow.
What?
Go to the game.
No shut up.
Can you make it back?
It's at 5 o'clock.
I'd have to leave work early.
On Friday?
Yeah.
Friday.
Yeah, you know what?
Actually, let me talk to Gaz first.
There's no meetings.
Are you serious?
Yeah, if you can get back to Cleveland, there's two tickets.
Oh, my.
Thank you so much.
You're welcome.
You're welcome.
Yeah, let me, yeah.
Let me figure some stuff out.
Oh, my God.
Pretty cool, man.
Go have fun.
I hope that it ends up being a Guardians Brewer's World Series.
Wouldn't that be something?
Oh, we got to pull up.
Because if it is, I know.
Well, I'll get on the phone with Tick Pick and we'll see if we can make at least one of those games happen in the World Series.
We have to, there are other things.
We have to win four games.
Yeah, you have to win some games first.
Arian's only got to win three.
I got to win four.
Holy shit.
Which ballpark do you think would be more electric for a Brewers, Guardians, World Series?
Progressive gets crazy.
But the Brewers wins the last time.
I might go to both.
I'll keep it a bean.
I don't know if I'm going to see this again in my lifetime.
I mean, Milwaukee's an hour and a half away from here in the Cleveland's a five-hour drive.
It's not like either of them are very far from Chicago.
Five hours a little push.
I mean, or a 45-minute flight, I guess, if you want to do that.
Yeah, I would probably much rather do that one.
Yeah.
Yeah, it's game four.
Sorry, it was game four Friday, October 16th.
Okay.
Thank you so much.
Yeah.
You really did buy them all right.
No, yeah, I bought them like right when Cleveland won.
Nice.
Nice.
Let's get Mad Dog to one of these games.
Thank you.
Of course.
Holy shit.
That's awesome.
Man, I wish you loved me like that.
Aaron, you can buy the ballpark.
He can buy out, I don't even, is Tampa Bay Tropicana?
Yeah.
He could buy out Tropicana, all those blue dots, I'm sure.
I was going to ask that the Brewers haven't won a World Series, but they've been to one,
I don't know that we've been to one.
When they were in the American League?
Like back in the 80s?
I think, did they play the Cardinals in a World Series?
I'm seeing 1982.
Was that against the Cardinals?
Yes.
None of us were on the earth.
No.
St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Milwaukee Brewers in seven games.
Yeah.
The Sud series
pitting St. Louis beer culture
against Milwaukee beer culture.
Also, if it's Guardians,
Brewers in the World Series.
That's the first time both World Series teams would have the Edmund and Fitzgerald docked at it before.
That's huge.
Wow.
That's huge for fans of...
The Edmund Fitzgerald.
The Edmund Fitzgerald.
I mean, I know you guys were thinking about that.
And seafaring navigation, yes.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's massive.
Isn't that don't give up the ship?
Or no, that's another thing.
Edmond Fitzgerald was...
Evan Fitzgerald is the wreck of Edmunds.
It was hauling a bunch of ore, iron ore from somewhere to somewhere else.
in Lake Superior, I think,
and then it sunk during a storm.
Which, by the way, I thought
when I first heard about, like,
when you listen to the song
and you hear the stories of the Edmund Fitzgerald,
you think that it happened in, like, 1810.
When did it happen?
The Edmund Fitzgerald sunk on November 10th, 1975.
Oh.
Yeah.
And then someone wrote a famous song about it.
Gordon Lightfoot, I believe, yeah.
Was it Picasso's like that, right?
I thought he was like something about.
1500s painter.
No, he died in the 70s.
Yep.
Yeah, he died.
He was, he was like on film.
Like, he was on TV and stuff.
1973 at the age of 91.
Yeah.
So, I mean, he was around in the 1800s.
Yeah.
Well, mortality.
You ever just sit up and think about your mortality?
Try not to.
Try not to too much.
I don't feel that.
I try not to as well, but it happens every day.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's hard.
It's hard to be like, hey, hey, stop thinking about like one of the most important things.
Clock's ticking.
Clock's ticking, yeah.
Every time you say the date and you start a podcast, I'm like, oh, it's getting close.
Yeah.
It's never going to get farther away.
That's the thing.
We're never getting October 13th, 2026 back.
That's right.
Go out there and enjoy this post-Columbus day.
Oh, we're starting to get that little.
taste of fall weather like there was a breeze this morning
I was working out I was like oh my god
it's reversing here it's going back to summer
Ariens breeze is like it's now 86 degrees
yes that's exactly what it was that's about what it is here today
I'm sick of it I just want a nice cool crisp
coffee in the morning when I sit on the front porch
from my backyard where the breeze is hitting me
yeah that sounds pretty good can't do it yet though
it's too fucking hot
Eric, there's a couple of things I want to run by you real quick.
I don't know.
Did you have a chance to watch any football yesterday?
I watched the Browns and the Jets.
Okay.
On purpose?
Because I was playing video games early in the morning and the dude I played video games with.
I told you about he.
He's like the biggest Browns fan I've ever met.
Bigger than you, Maddie.
He's like, I am not the biggest brown fan of the world.
It's ridiculous how big of a brown.
It's funny, actually.
And so we got off
He's like, I'm going to go watch the Browns
I got to get off
And I was like, all right, man
I'm going to check him out
So I was just playing my game
And I had it on the side
And I was watching it on the side
So I caught the Browns Jets
And then I caught
Who else played?
That's one more I watched
Maybe
Oh, the Seattle and 49er
Yeah, that was a good game
Yeah, that was a really good game
I think the 49th is the best team
in football
I can see that.
I do.
And I was listing all the positions where they have an absolutely dominant player.
And it's staggering to think about.
So they have one of the, I'd say a top three running back in the NFL, McCaffrey,
probably top three tight end in the NFL with Kittle,
top three offensive tackle in the NFL with Trent Williams.
Sean Williams has been doing it a long time.
Shout out to him, man.
I mean, if there's something better than the first ballot, that's him.
He's above first ballot, automatic induction.
Yeah, just start calling him all of him or now.
Like, it's just insane, though.
Yeah, there's probably top five, top 10 wide receiver in Mike Evans the way that he's playing right now.
That game that he had yesterday against one of the best secondaries.
Yeah.
I mean, just dominant, just dominating people.
Played well, yeah.
And then on defense, they've got a top three middle linebacker.
Probably the best middle linebacker.
and Fred Warner.
Warner.
Warner, there you go.
And another great linebacker in Greenlaw.
Yeah, that team, it's about managing your personnel so that you stay healthy through the season.
Yep.
That's what that's what Kyle Shannarhan's task is this year because it is.
It's a really good squad.
Yep, I would agree that that's going to be the most important thing for it.
They can stay healthy.
And Brock Purdy is playing like a top five quarterback right now.
He didn't have one thing.
I was young and I didn't really understand load management into the playoffs.
Although all my playoff games, I bawled out.
But I was always like just greedy.
I wanted all the snaps I could get because I was, you know,
I was saying young and just trying to just be the best I could.
But like that shit don't.
I mean, win games, but that shit.
And what matters is like cold weather football.
Yeah.
Yeah, it's true.
It's true.
And they've, if they can say healthy, they should.
every time that the 49ers have started 5 and 0
at minimum they've made it to the
conference championship and I think
three out of the previous four times they've gone to the Super Bowl
so it bodes well for him but yeah
the injury bug stay with that substation if you can
we saw what's his name Debo went down
looked like a hamstring so hopefully he'll be back
did you happen to watch the end of the commander's giant's game
I did not
Did they tie right
Oh I hate that
It's the worst thing in football
It was a tie ties
Ties so stupid
NFL
College NFL
Need to
I mean the NFL needs a depth
College football over time though
It's just so it's so stupid
It was
I usually say that like a tie
It makes both teams upset
The Giants definitely were
Way happier with that tie
The commanders were
Yeah
I don't watch the end of it so I didn't see it
So real quick I'm going to run this by you and you tell me what you think as a former player
First of all, Giants go down the field
They have the ball at the 24 yard line
Hand off to Cam Scataboo
And the commanders punch the ball out
Force of fumble when they were in a position to kick about a 40-yard field goal
To win the game at that point
So commanders get the ball
We take it down the field
There's 50 seconds left balls at
the 24-yard line and we just we ran we just run a play centered the football uh about a 40-yard field
goal for us as well and then with i don't know maybe there were 13 seconds left when we snapped it
Jane Daniels uh looks like he's doing play action he's under center does play action and then
rolls out to his left panics takes a step forward and then dives to take a knee uh and then
everybody on the team kind of like walks back to the line of scrimmage jaden starts taking his time then one of the offensive linemen was like hurry up hurry up hurry up the clock's running they get to the ball the clock runs out game over oh wow yeah so all he had to do was just throw the football into the ground or throw it out of bounds um and then after the game you you know how like teams get with the like we're going to have to talk to the media but we're not going to say anything interesting at all so he was just like yeah you know they're
communication of what we're supposed to do. It's top down so it starts with me and that's,
you know, we have to get better as a team with that. And then the coach was like, yeah,
you know, communication needs to get better. Like they basically blah, blah, blah, it. But when
Jaden said top down, I think everybody thought to himself, he's talking about like the coaches.
So my- He says starts with me though, right? He said it starts to me, but he also said top-down.
So I don't know if he meant top-down. When he said top-down, I thought.
that meant like coaches than him, yeah, ownership.
But he, it was interesting because it seemed like, I don't know, here's my take on it.
And you tell me what you think about this.
My take on it is as the quarterback, it's your responsibility.
You have to know the situation.
You have to know how many timeouts you have left.
You have to know what you're supposed to do in clock management situations at the end of a game like that.
that has to be in your head at all times, and you have to know that.
The second part of that is really good organizations and good coaches will spell out what the situation is before a play
so that their quarterback is reminded of what's going on.
Hey, you have no timeouts.
Remember that.
So either throw it out of bounds, throw it into the ground, and then move on.
A good coach will remind their quarterback of that.
but ultimately it is the quarterback's responsibility.
I think it's on everybody, but more so the quarterback, yeah, but it's on everybody.
Like you literally have drills where you have two-minute drills, last second clock at drills,
where you usually have a period designed in practice for these situations, situational football drills,
where you have the field goal team running and out with no timeouts left.
You practice this.
Every team practices this.
That's on everybody.
Like, that's a bad, I would, I would.
As a quarter, if I was a quarterback, I would say this on me.
100%.
I would take full responsibility.
But in the reality of it is, everybody fucked that up.
Coaching staff, players.
Because if the players on the field, if I'm a runnerback, I'm on a field, like, I'm looking
at the clock.
Like, I know what's going on.
I'm not just another chess piece.
I know what the fuck is happening.
I'm playing football.
Like, I'm like, hey, let's go.
Let's go.
Like, football players live on the thing on the hop.
Yeah.
How are you so lack of days ago at the end of a game that you can win and you're in
position to win?
That, I don't know.
I'm rarely hard on players.
That shit's, you got to know.
Come on, man.
You have to know that.
And then after the game, Magic Johnson, who's part owner of the commanders, usually takes
him like three days to tweet anything out after a game.
I had no idea he was a part owner.
Yeah, yeah, his part owner.
What's what Magic saying about the game?
So he tweeted right after the game.
He said, I'm in total disbelief.
My commanders had such poor clock management in today's overtime game against the Giants.
All we had to do was kick the field goal and we would have won the game.
That's as bad as Magic Johnson will ever publicly speak on another individual.
That's scathing for him.
Yes.
That's a full and complete rebuke of the coaching staff, in my opinion, by Magic Johnson.
Like, I was thinking that Dan Quinn might get fired today.
That's how Magic Johnson will never say anything bad publicly about anybody else.
He always takes like two days, like after the Dodgers win the World Series, he usually
won't like tweet about it for like 24 hours.
And then he'll say like something really nice about the Dodgers.
But to say that in like the minutes after it happened, Magic Johnson's pissed off.
I'm a, I'm a look at it because I haven't seen it.
commanders and the game
because I like it's
I find it hard to believe
it was bad was there like no sense of urgency
no sense of urgency yeah
it was he panicked
so I think Jaden panicked in the moment
had a brain fart
and then for whatever reason nobody else on the team
had any sense of urgency either afterwards
so they didn't know
the situation by then it was cooked
it was over there was what like seven seconds
Yeah, but
And then the NFL has that thing
where you can't spike it under three
for some stupid reason.
Whoa, wait, wait, wait, hold on, hold on.
This, this play before last,
why are you even,
that's, that's on quarterback,
I want to know what play was called
to where you even had to roll out.
Like, you're literally,
you're literally supposed to like,
yeah, just move the ball
and take a knee and then get like,
this should be disgusted in the huddle.
Like, this is,
I would be mad at my,
12-year-old team if they fuck this up because we practiced that.
Yeah.
I don't know if you're,
I don't know why Jane was even under center if it's a just waste time and throwaway play.
Under center is fine.
Like,
so a lot of,
a lot of kickers have a preferential spot.
You notice the preferential spot on the side of the field or what hash mark they like to.
And if you're in position,
they aren't a,
this is going to be a,
it's going to be a 40-two-yard field goal.
But you only do that if you have timeouts.
They were just trying to like throw,
maybe.
No, you're fine.
You're fine.
Because you had 25 seconds left.
You have 25 seconds left.
That's still enough time to run a play,
take spike it, and have five to seven seconds left.
And the ideal is three.
You want three seconds left because three.
You were saying spike it after.
I thought you were saying do a fire drill.
No, no, no.
Position the ball, get down, spike it with three seconds left.
Like this is, this is quarterback clock matter.
I take it back.
This is all on your mask.
This is all on Jane, you think?
I believe so, yeah.
Which player you're looking at?
So there's, I'm sorry, there's 13 seconds left.
Yeah.
It's, oh, yeah, I take that.
Yeah, that's why I would say there wasn't that much time left.
Yeah.
Well, there's 13 seconds left.
We could do this in 13 seconds.
No.
That's tight.
That's tight.
It's tight, it's tight, but you can.
Like the, the issue was the play that was ran.
What play would it?
They ran a play action play phase.
Yeah.
Where he was actually looked in the flats to throw maybe?
I don't know, was he just going to throw.
it away.
This is why like...
He was looking to the tight end who was running off to the left side.
The play action part confused me because he does a play fake, but that's not a playfake
situation with 11 seconds left.
I don't know what the play call was.
And I don't know what the goal of that play call was.
Like, again, they snapped the ball with 13 seconds left.
He play fakes and he scrambles.
This is very weird.
And then even in seven seconds, we can...
Now it's too tight, yeah.
I don't, this is, I think it's on the O.C.
And this is on the quarterback.
Yeah.
I don't know what play that was.
I don't get it.
I don't know what happened there.
But very frustrating because that should have been a win.
This is the job too of the local media.
Like, you know, the beat writers.
Yeah.
That know the team to get the real story out of what actually transpired during that play.
Maybe throughout the week, you know what, during the media day?
Like, they got to get this story.
Like, what actually, what was this play goal?
happen like that's that's that's what I say local media is really important so that they
talked to um they talked to Chris Paul one of the offensive linemen after the game and he said
that everybody or that yeah I think he said everybody knew that there were no timeouts in
the huddle it was talked about but then they talked to Terry McLaurin and Terry McLaurin
seemed to say something completely different than that so it feels like people are I have no
idea no one's I don't think anyone's going to really tell us the truth that was bad on there yeah
like if you had coach
You got to bite that bullet.
If you're quarterback, you got to bite that bullet.
O.C., you got to bite that bullet.
That's bad.
My guess is, and this is completely speculation here,
my guess is that Dan Quinn is taking some bullets for the offensive coordinator
because it's his first year and relatively inexperienced.
I think partially on the offensive coordinator for, like,
nobody knows what this play call was.
Like, it's a very weird play to run in that situation.
and I also think that people are trying to take bullets for Jaden
because you don't want to blame the quarterback.
Yeah.
But Jad, I think Jaden should probably,
and Jaden, the way that he's phrasing it,
he might also be trying to protect the,
he doesn't want to say anything bad about the play call
or the offensive coordinator.
I don't know, I feel like either Jaden or,
David Blow
needs to be like, hey, I fuck this up.
Here's how it happened. Here's why.
I'm so curious about this play call.
But either way,
bad. It doesn't seem like something that's
going to... This is not a moment
that the team's going to rally around and get better.
This feels like the start of
things falling apart. If everybody
protecting everybody, be like, hey,
I've been on teams where like, you know, some questionable stuff with down.
And then they go, hey, fuck all
the noise. We can take
responsibility in this room, we rally the truth and we move on.
This is what it is.
But what I'm saying is like the players, the players that are in the room, they know that,
they know who fucked up.
And if nobody publicly takes the blame for it and says, like, directly, here's what
happened, here's why it's my fault, then everybody in that room is going to keep getting
asked about it and they're going to be like, why the fuck haven't they taken the blame?
You know what cares that?
Winnie.
You get a dub next week, shit ain't going to be talking about.
You go on a road?
they should won't be talking about the rest of this season.
Here's a problem.
Here's a problem, Aaron.
You know who they play?
You know who we're going to play?
They play.
We're going to play the San Francisco 49ers in San Francisco on Monday Night Football.
If you get a win against them, that's actually great opportunity.
It really goes away.
Great opportunity.
Yeah, man.
Good point.
And then also your Houston Texans, congratulations.
Got a win against the Tennessee Titans.
And you also got Marvin Harrison, Jr., from the.
Arizona Cardinals.
Did they really?
Yeah.
I don't, yeah, I mean, I don't know that that was they, that's what they needed.
I think they need, I think they need a run game.
They do need a run game, yes.
But their problem in the last couple years has been they've, all their receivers keep
getting hurt.
They finish the year.
They don't have anyone that they can throw to.
So C.J. Stroud ends up looking pedestrian by the time December rolls around.
I don't know.
Have you seen any of the film of Marvin Harrison Jr. as a Arizona Cardinal?
I have.
And I asked some prominent wide receivers that I know in my life about him.
And they said that, because I was like, what do you think his issue is?
And they were like, I just never, I thought his upside was what happened in college.
I thought that was his peak.
And I was like, it was interesting.
Because I never watched him in depth like that, so I can't really speak on him.
but they tended to think that that's what that's that was his that was his that was his
ceiling um I think I think there's there's certain things that he can do that are
fixable immediately his like that's a lot of the drops he's having it's just in his head
yeah like and that could that could happen when you had the dropsies but most important part
of a catch and throw you know what it is no
Last six inches.
Okay.
He's a game.
So overcomplicate it.
I think that he's, for whatever reason, something went wrong in Arizona with him.
Because he used to be like a crisp route runner.
He used to like get separation.
And ever since he's been in Arizona, it just looks like he hates playing football.
Could be the case too.
Sometimes change the season where he could wake somebody up.
So, Big T, let me know what you think about this.
I put some thought into it.
yesterday and with college players getting paid a good amount of money, especially if you're at the top of your game.
And, you know, you probably have a lot more fun in college dominating, right?
Like you're with your boys, you're young, you're in just a college environment.
It's probably a hell of a lot of fun.
I'd imagine it's a good time.
It's probably a great time, especially like you're at Ohio State and you're, you know, wide receiver one and you're probably like the most loved guy on campus.
probably a pretty good time for Marvin Harrison Jr.
Gets paid a decent amount of money.
And then he goes to the Cardinals,
and the Cardinals are just losing every week.
And you're not with your boys anymore.
You're still getting paid, and that's nice.
But it used to be when you make the jump from college to the NFL,
you were pumped because you were a millionaire.
You were raking it in.
It was an insane amount of money, and it was good times for you.
But if you come from an environment where you're already making that money,
or not necessarily that much money,
but you're already rich.
And then you go to the NFL,
it might be kind of a bummer going out of that environment.
And then all of a sudden you're playing for a team that keeps losing football games.
And it might make a guy like Marvin Harrison Jr.
Just not love playing football anymore.
I think that's probably a component,
but I think he's just not that good.
So you think that,
because when you watch him in college,
it was different than it was.
Yeah, but he was like he was mossing people.
He was never running wide open.
Like Jeremiah Smith will make crazy contested catches, but then half the time you also see him, he juke some DB out of their shoes and then he's running wide open, which is a better sign of success to come in the NFL because you're going to have to get separation on guys.
Yeah.
Like you're going to have to be able to get open.
And Marvin Harrison Jr. was an awesome player, but he was never just running past guys.
Yeah, that's- He's making awesome catches.
That's a fair point.
I feel like if there's any place that's going to be good for him, it would probably be.
in Houston with CJ.
Former teammate.
Yeah, we'll see.
Oh, that's right.
They used to play together.
Yep.
We've talked long enough without discussing
the Kelly Clarkson
Bird story. I mean, what are we doing?
Do you want to give us a rundown of it?
I'm somewhat familiar with it.
Have you been following?
A little bit. So she went to a store in Brooklyn.
Correct. She tweeted
the other day,
just drove all the way to Brooklyn
to check out this story.
where I thought looked really rad and had a few things in mind to buy
and literally was looked at as if I couldn't afford it
and was told he could find something comparable for me.
Wow, dude, you're an idiot and just lost a huge sale.
But y'all should go check out Art of Play in Brooklyn
if you enjoy being treated like Julia Roberts' character and pretty woman.
For sure, check it out, thumbs down.
The store responded and said,
Kelly Clarkson came in to our store
and was asking to buy this bird puppet
that we have on the wall that isn't for sale.
It's like the mascot of our store.
Did you watch the video of this thing?
I did not see the video of it now.
It's a bird, probably the size of your hand, up on a wall,
and it's string controlled.
And when you pull these strings,
it looks like it's like moving on its own and singing.
It's not worth 15 grand, which was the price tag affixed to it.
But it was a nice little, for a Brooklyn Arts and Craft store,
a nice little mascot.
Yeah.
I guess she wanted to buy it.
They said it's not for,
sale.
Then she finds a picture
where there was the price tag on it
or near it, I guess.
And the store is
claiming they told her, the guy who made it
will make you one for 15 grand,
but this one were not
selling. Okay.
And somehow this has spiraled into
one of the biggest stories in America,
and I love it.
The store has made multiple statements
now at this point. Their second one,
we'd like to clarify one additional detail about
Kelly Clarkson's visit to our Curiosity Shop on Saturday.
During the five minutes she spent in the store, she inquired about our mechanical bird puppet
named Molly, we explained that while Molly is permanently attached to the wall and serves
as a de facto mascot for our shop, a nearly identical automation is owned by the creator
of the machines, a brilliant artist named Bliss Cobb, who lives in Seattle.
He told us he would be willing to part with Molly's twin for $15,000.
Okay.
So Kelly Clarkson just really wanted this bird puppet.
Listen, it's a cool bird puppet.
And they said not for sale.
I'm watching the video right now, pretty cool.
As bird puppets go, I was impressed.
It's relatively, the way that it moves is very bird-like.
It's not like a, I was thinking it was going to be like a cartoony singing bird.
It is in a way.
But yeah, it looks, it's nice.
I don't know that it's worth 15 grand.
I mean, to her, it's worth what somebody pays for it.
Right, for sure.
Yeah, no, it's a good bird.
It sounds like it was also a big misunderstanding.
Yeah.
where the person that worked at the store
gave off the impression that
Kelly Clarkson couldn't afford to buy it
when in reality that person was just saying
it's not for sale.
Yeah, it seems like Kelly Clarkson
might have been having a bad day
and they told her she couldn't buy the bird mascot
and things went out of control from there.
And spiral from there, as things tend to do.
Yeah.
Yeah, I do like a good messy celebrity beef
online where like everything is posted for us to see because when she originally posted it everybody
took her side it was like i can't believe you discriminated against our sweet kelly like this
and then the store was like well now everyone has bombarded us with like one-star reviews online
tanked her reputation because some rich celebrity who was entitled came in here and didn't like
the fact that our bird wasn't for sale and then and then tide started swing back so they need
She needs to reach out to the store personally.
They need to do like an appearance together at the store.
And then she needs to buy one of these bird puppets from the artist in Seattle.
Do we think the craft store employee knew it was Kelly Clarkson?
Because that's an important part of the story.
If you work at a craft curiosity shop in Brooklyn, in Brooklyn,
somebody at that store knew.
You would have to imagine.
But this sounds like maybe a one employee at a time type deal.
There's also a chance that the person knew that it was Kelly Clarkson, but then went out of their way to demonstrate that Kelly Clarkson would not be treated differently than anybody else.
Everyone's an equal at Art of Play.
Which could also sometimes mean that she was treated worse than most people that come into that store, if that makes sense.
Interesting theory.
If I know my Brooklyn curiosity shops.
Which you visited.
Which I think that I do.
She might have been
Was it a guy or a girl?
I don't know
That person was probably saying
Like I'm
I don't care that's Kelly Clarkson
Killer Clarkson is no different
Than anyone who comes to my store
That bird's not for sell Kelly
Or whatever he is
Fuck that bird
What are you talking about?
You don't like the bird?
I don't care about the bird
If I'm the boy
I'm like
Yeah
Take that shit
I mean if she was off
15,000
is a lot.
I think you should have...
I'm not saying she's right.
I'm saying, but you should have sold her the bird.
Like, who cares?
Son of the bird.
Now she's happy.
Now she can tweet about the bird.
Now you can go buy a bird for way less than what it's worth.
It's worth.
Win, win, win.
You give her the bird.
I guess from what you're saying,
it does seem like they got this from an artist
who sells them for 15 grand,
so there's no way they could have gotten another one.
one like, like they wouldn't have made a profit.
You know what I'm saying?
No, but now you can say, hey, Kelly Clarkson asked for the bird and we're like, yeah,
can we get another bird?
Yeah.
Get another bird.
Now Kelly Carson is a happy customer.
But she tweets out about the bird.
No, no, no, no.
See, that's where I was going.
You tweeting a picture with Kelly Clarkson and saying,
Kelly just came into our shop and bought this bird that does 600 likes on Twitter.
You can't buy this kind of public.
That's true.
You agree with that.
Yeah.
I mean, now people that think she was being a little bitchy, you know what I mean?
Yeah.
I'm going to support now.
Yeah, this turned out way better.
I saw a dude do that with the good good shit.
You remember when Good Good put out that ad about and he pushed down a woman or whatever?
Yeah, the Cala.
Yeah, I saw some dude saying, this pisses me off so much.
Now I'm going to support Good Good more than ever.
I was like, what?
I love that.
Yeah, yeah.
I love those people.
Yeah, so you could have found one of those cats.
You know what I mean?
It was like, now I'm really going to go support the bird company.
I'm currently on the Art of Play website.
I'm looking at playful decor.
Ooh, a rotating globe.
Tetraxus kinetic sculpture.
They got a lot of stuff on here for like $90
with just absolutely no utility whatsoever.
I didn't check that out.
What is the Hoptimist, PFT?
What is this?
A bouncy little character that's guaranteed to spread happiness.
It's a block of wood.
It looks like it's got a spring, so you just push it down with your finger and it hops around.
That could give me a little happiness.
Yeah, there you go.
If that's accurate.
I believe that it is.
All right.
Well, shout out R to play.
Good to get in the news.
Yeah, that's a good point.
All right, what else is happening in the news today?
Illinois's house got raided.
I saw that.
by Department of Homeland Security.
So a warrant that was signed by, I guess, a federal judge had them raid her house.
That's the Minnesota house?
I would guess so.
No, the Washington, D.C. House.
Yeah, it's her D.C. house as part of a criminal fraud investigation into her immigration paperwork filled out by her father.
Okay.
So what I know about her is that she was she came to America when she was, I think, four years old with her family at a time when I think Somalis were, there were a protected class of immigrants given everything that was going on with the country and political instability. So I believe they were refugees. So she became a U.S. citizen at the age of 17 in the year 2000. So this, I guess, is.
somehow in question of the paperwork that her father filled out when she was brought to the United States
when she was four.
Seems that way.
So if that is the case and that I don't know, that's just what I'm reading in what was published today.
That, that seems like a pretty cut and dry.
We're targeting her for her political stances.
Right?
I mean, if you said that had to be signed by a judge.
Right. But I guess what I'm saying is if it's about her dad's paperwork status from 1980, whatever.
Yeah, I don't know.
Do you think that just came across their desk and they're like, whoa, wow, we need to, we need to jump on this.
I think she's probably been in some powerful people's crosshairs for a while.
That's what I'm thinking, yeah, which is probably a, that's a pretty dangerous precedent to set when it comes to investigating, uh,
sitting Congress people like that.
But we'll see. We'll see. I don't know.
I don't know what the entire warrant is about, all that stuff.
Because it does feel like, I don't know, it's also, it's close to election time.
I shouldn't have gone to that yet because I had a natural segue.
Okay, let's go back.
So we're going back because in, in, after the art of play thing, I have a grievance with
a business that I'd like y'all's take on.
Okay.
So yesterday I went to rent a car.
at thrifty rental car in Queens, New York, which I thought was affixed to LaGuardia Airport.
It is not.
It's just out in the middle of Queens somewhere.
They take you on a shuttle.
You pass the entrance to Rikers Island to get to this rental car place, okay?
So I get there.
There's a very long line.
There are two employees in the business.
I stood in line for probably 40 minutes.
I get up to the front.
they inform me they have no cars
we're doing the
the Jerry Seinfeld business
what's the point of the reservation
anyone can take them right
all right so you have no cars
fine I go back and sit down
but you have your reservation correct
for a mid-size SUV
another 30 minutes passes
it was myself and another
woman who were waiting
for a car she had been ahead of me in the line
okay they say to her
she also had an SUV reservation.
They say we don't have any SUVs.
We don't know when we're going to get one.
It could be 20 minutes.
It could be three hours.
We don't know.
But we have this sedan.
Do you want this?
She says no.
I don't want it.
They come to me.
They say, do you want it?
I was like, you have it out there?
They're like, yeah.
I said, yep, I'll take it.
Fine.
Put me in the car.
I'm giving the woman my license and everything to do the car.
And the other woman goes, fine.
I'll take it.
it. And the employee who was like, had my driver's license in her hand goes, oh, okay, you go wait
over there. I'm giving it to her. And the other employee says to her, no, you can't do that.
She said, no, she didn't want it. Yeah. And he said, yeah, it's, you're already taking his stuff.
At this point, the, the customer starts screaming. I have to go to a funeral, this, that,
and the other you, you, she was using very colorful language. Uh, and, uh, and, um, and,
You know, I was, I did, I'm just standing off the side.
I didn't say a word the whole time this whole thing was happening.
But I had to go to a wedding.
Like, we all got placed.
Nobody's at the thrifty rental car in the middle of Queens because they don't have somewhere to be.
And so the, the, now the employees are in an argument.
It's a, the woman that I was dealing with was speaking broken English.
And then it was an old Long Island woman.
And they were, she was yelling at the other employee like, that woman said she didn't want the car.
You can't do that.
Yeah.
And I'm just standing off to the side and she goes, well, it's done now.
And so she gave it to that woman.
And I went back and sat down for another probably 20 or 30 minutes before they were finally like,
we have a ram truck out there.
I said, I'd get on a bike at this point to get out of here.
So what was the proper protocol in that scenario?
Because I kind of wanted to raise a stink.
Yeah.
But like,
why did she say no?
I guess she was dead set on the SUV she had booked.
It was a matter of principle.
Like I made a reservation for an SUV.
I'm going to get an SUV.
Remarkably upset.
Yeah.
So I, you know.
Some people get like that.
Like I made my reservation for an SUV.
I made that choice.
You guys accepted that choice.
And now you don't have it.
I'm going to wait until.
But you have to recognize if you're in a situation where if she was going to a funeral,
then it doesn't really matter what kind of calls.
Right. And I was, you know, I wasn't thrilled with the situation either, but I was like, just get me out of here. I'll take whatever you have. See, that makes me, I would have been, if I'm in your shoes, I'd have did what you did. Man, I'd probably be a way more linear though in my head, though, because if I'm going to a wedding, whatever, just give me whatever, I got to get the A to B. If I'm going to a funeral, I probably lost him by a love. Ain't no telling how close I was to that person. Like, you got it, man. Like, whatever you're.
you got to do to get through the situation. Like, like that, that, that grief to me is the one,
I'll give you an asshole pass. You got it, man. Like, whatever you got to do to get this shit out.
Like, you got it. I'll give you a pass. Yeah. And, and, and that's fine. It was just, I was,
I was upset with the employee, eat more than, than that woman. Right. Because, like, that was
crazy. She was, she was, she was, like, filling out the paperwork for me to go get in the car.
Yeah, it's, it's the company.
falls for taking reservations when they can't have cars. Yeah.
Like that's ultimate. Listen, if you're ever renting a car at LaGuardia, do not, dollar rental
car is also, uh, they're in the same building. Do not go to dollar or thrifty rental car in,
in Queens. Don't do it. I want, yeah, I wonder if the, if the lady was actually going to a
funeral. That thought did cross my mind. It was not something I was, uh, we're going to invest and hit it.
No.
Right. But it did cross my mind.
Because, yeah, if it's somebody that is the type of person that would turn down a rental car
and then as somebody else is taking the reservation, jump back in and be like, no, I want it.
It's mine.
That could also be the type of person that might.
Again, play the funeral card.
Because the funeral card is a, as Aaron just said, like if somebody's going through grief, give them a pass, this is tough.
But it's also maybe the most powerful card that you.
could play. Yeah. And there, you know, nobody can verify that. No one wants to.
That's so true. And then if I'm in her shoes, I'll also handle it the exact opposite way.
Like if I got, if I'm, I'm not upset at that. So I'm just like, yeah, man, just give me whatever
you got, though. I don't, it's whatever at this point. Like, I don't want to be here.
And everyone, she had stood in line for at least as long as I did before, 30, 40 minutes.
I would have been like, if you have a car, yeah, put me in the car.
Yeah, I mean, yeah, I mean, there's no telling it, man.
Everybody's dealing with something.
Original car companies also, they have you by the balls and they know it.
Yeah, I mean, what, yeah, we've got an extra large.
Yeah, we got a convertible.
Sorry, no more convertibles.
Do you mind taking this Nissan Rogue?
Okay, cool.
Right.
And they told me when I was going to take the sedan.
I was like, well, can I get like, because obviously the SUV was more expensive.
can I get the money like taken off?
They were like, no, we could only ring it up as if you were taking it today.
And today the rate's $280.
I was like, well, it wasn't when I booked it.
Yeah.
They were like, yeah, sorry, it doesn't matter.
I was like, all right, man, whatever, fine.
That would have been that bullshit.
But again, if I'd been in the basement of the airport where there's eight rental car counters,
either just gone to a different one.
I said, cancel it, fine.
I'm going to go somewhere else.
They know.
But you're in, I mean, we were across the street from like an apartment complex.
Queens. Yeah. I didn't know that this was that was possible. I thought they were all in the airport.
Yep. They're not. They're not at all. Yeah. So that was a whole thing. Then I had to drive halfway
across Long Island in the pouring rain, but it's fine. Well, welcome back. Yeah. Thanks.
The things we do for love. Yeah. Or to celebrate love. Good wedding.
Uh, I got a story. Let me see if you're happy about this or something that you want, PFT.
Okay.
Because you're of my age demographic.
This is alleged, but it's from a pretty reputable source.
So I'm not saying this is going to happen.
I'm saying this is what they saying.
This is what the street.
Not even the streets.
This is what the...
You're not saying this, but people are saying it.
I ain't saying this at all.
This is with the back roads are saying.
Back not even the streets.
The streets ain't even saying it.
Kid Rock and Eminem are teaming up.
on a Christian album
No yeah that's happening
Are you serious?
Yeah
That's what the back roads is there
And you're asking me if I want that
I think that was in like the news
More than anything I want that
You want that
That's okay yeah I figure it yeah
It's gonna be hilarious
That's gonna be the funniest I'll member
Said they've been friends for like decades
And they promised that their politics
Would never get in the way of their friendship
At some point they're gonna make an album
They're gonna make sweet music together
Yeah
I can't wait.
I can't wait to hear it.
I'm definitely going to give it a spin
because I'm a known Eminem lover slash hate.
Yeah.
I think his talent level is off the charts,
but I think post-drugs, post-sobriety, I should say.
It's just been a no for me, a resounding no.
The fast rap, not a fan.
The angry.
Yeah.
Not a fan.
Never been a fan of Kid Rock.
I give everybody an honest spin.
It's just that he whacked with me.
So if you don't like the fast or angry,
what M&M songs do you like?
Oh, his early shit?
Because that's most of them.
Yeah, his early shit.
Oh, man, big fan of Slim Shady LP,
Marshall Maddoz LP, Eminem show,
even some of the encore stuff.
Some of the stuff after,
it kind of gets a little angry, fast,
rap to me, but
Italian was always there.
He made to me one of the best
disc songs of all time that it gets overlooked.
Bullie?
Bullie is
I don't know.
That's just off the charts to me
with talent level, melodic
lyrics.
It's just
amazing, it's like a perfect tend to me
of a disc track.
I was a huge Eminet fans.
That me still have.
People change and grow.
You don't have to grow with them.
But
he's like,
This is the thing about his new music.
It's like technically sound as shit.
Like on paper, he's spitting.
But it just don't hit the same.
And it feels kind of gimmicky to me.
Yeah.
You can rap.
Hey, of course you can rap.
You're one of the best rappers of all times.
But it's just that it's just don't.
I think he's lost that.
I don't know if Dre's, he stopped working with Dre.
Maybe that was it.
Because Dre pushed more for like songwriting.
Dre was like he would curate artists in a way that like, yeah, you could rap, dog, but we had like corrupts a good example of that.
Corrupt was just a spinner.
Like corrupt could bar you up, but like nobody wants to hear you talk about how good you could rap all the time.
You know what I mean?
Like people want songs they could relate to.
Songs they get them through their day.
Songs that's them they're going through.
That's songwriting and curating a project.
Drake's great at that.
And I don't know that Eminem.
that's his goal like that anymore.
I think his goal is just to like tell his story
how good he could rap.
And that's a pocket for some people.
There's times I like that, but I like,
you know, I don't know.
Yeah.
I think I'm in love with anymore.
That's all right.
Yeah, the talent's always been there with Kid Rock.
The talent, I'll say this about Kid Rock.
I saw him perform one time.
There was a moment in the live set
where he just got on every instrument on stage
and played it real quick.
I didn't know that he could do that.
That was pretty cool.
I respect. I respect the musicianship, Michelle.
That was pretty cool.
But in terms of, like, who's a more talented musician between Kid Rock and Eminem?
Like, it's not...
I hope it's a good album.
I hope it's a good album.
It seems like Eminem is only on one song.
Okay.
I see the spin, the spin zone they try to do.
The song Seven Sins.
He's a feature on the album.
He's not making a dual.
Wow.
Yeah, it made it sound like it was the two, like they were doing Watch the Throne.
Yeah.
For Jesus.
Literally watch the throne.
Watch the real throne.
That's what they made it sound like.
Oh, man.
Now, I've got my eye on halfway to Jesus featuring Gary LaVox and Jimmy Allen,
Gary LaVox of Rascal Flats fame.
I've got my eye on that.
Yeah.
Track 8, me and Jim.
Jesus, track nine, God is good.
Prelude.
10, God is good.
13 till you can't.
That's already a Cody Johnson song.
I'd be skeptical of cats who be doing bullshit and they personalize
and they come out with God albums.
Yeah.
Example Kanye.
You know what I'm saying?
Love Kanye's discography, right?
But like, he'd be on some bullshit and he'd come out of a God album.
I'd be skeptical.
I don't know.
I feel like something about to happen.
Some news.
about to come out. Who's your boy, Russell, um, Russell Brand?
Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. All of a sudden, he made that hard pivot. Now he's a
Jesus guy. Allegations come out. I don't know. I'm not something out of legend. I'm saying,
I'd be skeptical when people later in their life come to Jesus. Yeah, when he was,
he was bringing like a Bible to his trial. Yeah, shit like that. Yeah. I think that more than fair to be
skeptical of that.
So this is out Friday, it seems?
All right, I'm going to listen.
I will listen to seven deadly sins.
Seven sins.
Seven cents.
I'm going to spend that record for show.
I will listen to it.
Saturday, it comes out.
It should come out Sunday if you really try to do it.
It's true.
No, people, they're a church.
They're busy.
As soon as you leave the church, you've got a brand new worship to step up in to.
Yeah.
On the way.
Mm-hmm.
You get you ready for church.
Let's see what else we got in the news today.
We've got, um, oh, BTS, I saw that you sent this across.
Jack Doherty has apparently been kicked offline.
Yeah, this rocks.
I am skeptical.
You think it's a work?
I think it's a work.
But this company has tweets.
Yep.
From before.
From the last like six months?
Yeah.
So you think they've been working it for a while?
I think this seems like a viral ad to me.
What does the company do?
They are a gambling company, I believe.
Yes.
I think that this is a work.
So I'm not going to say the name of the company because I think it's a work.
So Jack Doherty, everybody hates.
Who's Jack Doherty?
Everyone hates the guy.
He's like an old school.
He's a prank video guy, kind of.
But like way worse?
Yeah, he's the worst.
Okay.
Just if you, you can go watch five.
minutes of him, you'll, you'll, you'll come to the same conclusion.
So apparently, oh, wait, I've seen a video on this cat before he walk around, fucking
with people when he hired a bodyguard.
Yeah.
I'll knock the shit out that bodyguard and then knock the shit out of him.
So apparently the- I'll be waiting to run into motherfuckers like this.
Not because I'm violent, just because it'll equalize the earth, you know what I mean?
Like, they know who to do that to.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, they know.
And the bodyguard that does is a sucker too.
Anyway, let me get off my.
Yeah, I hate motherfuckers like this.
Who, you know who like the original one I saw this?
You remember, um,
what's good,
nah, Tusi, Tubee, Tube, Tube, Tube or Tusi, Fousy, Fousy,
some shit like that.
All right, one of those eight.
Hey, man, you know.
You sound like an old guy naming streaming services.
That's what it feels like.
I'm getting up there, Big T, I'm getting, I'm getting up there.
No, no, you're good.
Nah, man, I'm hitting that big, you know what I'm saying?
Hitting the 40?
Over the hill now.
40's a new 30.
Mm-hmm.
Who's your boy?
What's your boy name?
Dostkowski.
Dostoevsky?
Dostoevsky?
There you go.
The writer?
I was like, yeah.
Is that who he's talking about?
Yeah, yeah.
He says life starts at 40.
Okay, shout out.
I thought he was saying there's a Russian YouTube prank video guy.
What's his name?
I don't know.
I thought that's what he was talking about.
No, no, I'm sorry.
That's Carl Jung.
Carl Jung said it.
Not those words.
Carl Jung, my bet.
I really like the guy that,
the guy that goes around to gyms
and he dresses up like a janitor.
I've seen this guy.
I like this guy.
That guy rocks.
Have you seen that guy?
He goes around to like the most,
like, famous meathead weightlifting gyms in the world,
and he's dressed up like a janitor,
and he's got his mop in his bucket,
and he just walks around,
and he's like moving stuff around
that looking like he's cleaning the gym,
and if there's like a bar that's sitting out
with like 600 pounds on it,
he'll just go up and like deadlift it
and catch up.
like walking across the gym and like put it down and then you see everybody in the gym looking
I'm like what what the fuck was that and then he'll like casually give advice to people that are
working out and these big meatheads will get all pissed off at him like what the fuck are you doing
talking me like that he's like no let me try and he'll just like take their weight and start doing
reps with it yeah it's really he's a one-trick pony but it's it's an awesome trick it's a good bit
and then he goes uh he here hold my mop hold my mop and it mobs like 200 pounds and he grab it and
it like drops it's dope and he's like
like casually just walked around holding his like 200 pound mop and there's like 200 pound bucket
and then nobody can can like lift his mop or bucket it's a good bit it's a good one bit yeah it is it is yeah
every now it pops up on the um the youtube shorts yeah the founder of the company did tweet for everyone
asking yes it's real six month term money well spent to get this mf off the internet now i would ask
why six months that seems awfully short term yeah if you could sneak that into a contract and
this was really your goal?
Yeah.
This is, this, I can almost guarantee you that this is a work.
Yeah.
And it's working.
Yeah.
But it would be awesome.
It would be awesome.
Somebody should actually do it.
Because also he tweeted out, Jack Dordy tweeted out that he was getting banned,
that he's not allowed to be on social media.
Well, maybe it took effect the next day or something.
Yeah.
But yeah.
That kid does suck, though.
He does.
suck big time uh big big t have you and this is related to arian have you uh paid attention
to what's been on the texas senate rate for the last couple days i have uh where where did you
fall on it so here's what happened talluriko is running uh against kin paxton and uh talluriko
has been m i for the last nine days um ending on i believe
October 9th is when he showed up at the Austin City City Limits Festival.
He said that he had the flu and so he was staying indoors recovering from the flu.
And lots of whispers started to come out from around the Paxson campaign saying that he had been
institutionalized in a mental institution.
Yeah.
And then a couple days ago, there was a phone call that came out from Nick Sortortorto.
I only know him from he's like always around Portland
he's one of the guys that like films Antifa
so he had a phone call
with that he published with some mental institution
in Ohio and it was like a 20 second clip
and at the end they said yeah this guy
I guess he checked out like earlier this morning
they fucked up because they originally posted a much longer clip
of the conversation where for like two minutes the lady on the other end was saying
we can't give out any information but no that person wasn't there that person this person's not
here that person doesn't exist at all in our records and then the way that she said it at the end
sounded like she was just exasperated she's like oh yeah well the reason i don't have it he left um
the guy had been chopping it around at various news outlets like the daily mail uh new york post i
believe the Daily Wire, some other right-wing media outlets, and none of them had agreed to run it
because they said it didn't pass their legal standards. So they ran it by their legal departments,
and every organization's website said, no, we can't run this. So he's like, fine, I'll send it
to Nick Sorter. So the person that is involved with Nick is a guy, what is his name? I'm looking
it up right now.
Ryan Amateur
That's right, yeah
Ryan Amaker
Amaker Amaker
A-M-A-C-H-E-R
Apparently that guy is like a felon
He's committed like forgery and stuff in the past
So
It seemed like a it seemed like a lie
Right off the bat
And then
The account that proved that it was a lie
Was kicked off line
Was kicked off Twitter
But since then
It's kind of
It's been debunked by
a bunch of people and the
mental institution or whatever, the
Linder Center of Hope,
they tweeted yesterday, Representative
James Tala Rico has never received treatment from Linder
Center of Hope. And then Tala Rico said
that he had never even been to Ohio.
So it does
feel like it's been made up. If you're James
Tala Riko, though, you don't
want the mental institution
tweeting that you've never been there, right?
No, I think at that point... Because that's
kind of a... It went so viral
that I think you wanted to be clear
up like immediately. Yeah, but I mean, he'd come out and said, you know, that he'd never been,
that's kind of a make your opponent say that he's never fucked a pig, right?
Kind of, but also, it had gone so viral without him directly addressing anything that at some
point it becomes defamation. Well, he did an interview and he came out. He was like, yeah,
that's ridiculous. That never happened. And did anyone believe him? Did the people that...
I don't know. Does anyone who wouldn't believe him, believe him now that the place said it?
I think so. I think now that the place said it, they're like, yeah, okay, that's probably a lot.
It would be an empty claim.
Yeah.
I think that's probably the number one thing.
It's like, okay, it's a lie because now we know the center has debunked that.
Hey, the ads, I know that we've seen a couple videos going on like this, but the ads this campaign season are, are wild dog.
I don't know.
Are they like that up there?
Oh, yeah.
We've got some good ones.
It's like, do you want your kids to be trans?
It's like, God damn.
Well, you're in Texas.
I imagine the Tala Rico Paxton ones are really good.
Yeah, they're ridiculous, though.
It's so funny, though.
The Ohio ones are going national.
They keep buying out national spots for them,
or at least from what I see.
Like, I always see ones like for Ohio State games or Browns games,
Sherrod Browns.
People and opponents.
You want immigrants to vaccinate your kids.
The Ohio one is that Sherrod Brown transed me as a minor.
Wow.
And I had to be untransed.
The Texas one is really good because it's Ken Paxon's ex-wife saying that she was like that she is going to vote for him, but she won't say his name because she hates him so much.
That's a very funny ad.
Why is she participating in that?
I saw that.
She's a diehard Republican.
She's like a through and through Texas will never turn blue.
But why her?
Like, why are they having the, the, what, ex-wife of this guy who cheated on her?
That's their way of saying, like, this is how great he is.
I'm saying, like, this is how bad Tala Rico is, that even his, his ex-husband will get my vote?
His ex-wife who won't bring herself to say his name is going to vote for him.
Do you think that's real?
What?
That she actually will vote for him.
I don't know, probably.
She married him.
Yeah, I think so, because she's like, she's that much of a, uh, uh,
true like Texas Republican.
He's a bad candidate.
Really bad candidate.
I'm not a fan of his.
He might still win just because Texas.
I hope he wins, but.
He will be a bad senator is the problem.
Like he's a bad candidate.
He's been a bad guy in tech.
Everybody in Texas hates him.
Even his own party hates him.
Is he in Congress?
Where does he come from?
His own staff hates him.
He was the, I believe the attorney general.
Let's see, Ken Paxson, what offices did he hold?
I'm looking at polls right now for Paxton and Tala Rico.
Yeah, he was the Attorney General of Texas under Rick Perry brought him in.
All the polls seem to be ranging from like three points on either side, pretty much all within the margin of error.
Yeah, so I'll be skeptical until Texas actually votes for a, uh,
Democrat statewide.
It seems like
Tala Rico has as good of a chance as
But we've done this every cycle
with someone in Texas.
It was Beto O'Rourke.
Tala Rico is, he's pulling ahead of Beto.
But you're right.
You're not wrong.
Like when Beto is running, everyone was like,
oh, Texas is going to go blue.
Who was the other guy?
There was one more.
He did that with Georgia, too, though,
and Georgia flew.
Yep.
And that's because they ran Herschel Walker.
And the
Kelly.
left for was out there.
What's Herschel Walker?
He's ambassador to the Bahamas.
He's saying, Bahamas.
China still our air, no.
Ambassador Herschel Walker.
Yeah.
Go Herschel, man.
Yeah, but there's, that's what, that's what so puzzling to me is,
Texas should be an automatic win for the Republicans.
Automatic.
We need the French guy who said, who do you think your neighbors are voting for?
We need that poll in Texas.
Yeah.
Because that's how he found out Trump was going to win.
Ken Paxson is the worst candidate that they could possibly run.
Everyone hates him.
His staff hates him.
His ex-wife hates him, but she's still going to vote for him.
Every politician in Texas.
No one trusts him.
Donald Trump even hates him.
Donald Trump gave him the nomination, gave him his endorsement because Conron was
going against the Trump presidency a little bit too much for his liking.
So he was like, boom, Rhino.
And we're going to get Ken Paxon.
in there. And then when he's speaking with Paxon, or he's introducing Paxon at that
rally that they had a month ago, he's just roasting the guy. He was like, here's Ken Paxon.
He's not the best dressed guy in the world, not the best looking guy in the world, but he's,
he's our nominee. Have, did you see Trump over the last few days? No. He's, he's on a heater right now.
The rallies, I think, have him reinvigorated. Do they? Well, did you see he, um, his I like steak comment?
Yeah. Yeah, I saw that.
That was a banger. Then he had the, um, the guy who asked the question in like really broken English and you couldn't really understand what he said.
Yeah. Trump just kind of shrugged and pointed at the next guy. And then he was at another rally where he, um, was doing an impression of, um, Islamic leaders. And that was, uh, that was an interesting.
I have not seen that one yet. You should check that one. I'll give it a look. But yeah, the whole, the whole, the whole, the whole, the whole.
reason that Paxton is even the nominee is just because Trump was trying to stick it to a guy that he thought was very nasty to him.
And then they ended up having to deal with the worst candidate in Texas.
Like that should that should be a win like a 10 point win every time for Republicans like a statewide office in Texas.
But they, is it a heat check for Trump?
If Trump can get can Paxton elected in Texas, then he still got it as a kingmaker.
I'll put it that way.
Now something has just come across my desk where Tala Rico first said he went to an urgent care,
but then in his most recent interview he said he visited his primary care physician.
I think it's very likely that if you have a serious case of the flu, you might do both.
He did say just my primary care physician.
I don't know if that was to mean only or just as a filler.
I think it's much more likely that they made up the mental institution in Ohio thing.
It's entirely possible.
I'm just telling you what has come across my desk.
I think that if it is made up,
Tala Rico should definitely sue everybody involved.
Yeah, sue everyone involved
because that's clearly defamation
and see if it ties back to the Paxton campaign
because it does feel like this is a October surprise type thing.
It's so hard to prove defamation though.
In this case, it might be kind of cut and dry
because if they...
It's to prove intent, right?
Like I knew all they have to do is
argues like I heard institution and I thought that meant it's you could you could say
they were it's just hard you could say they were acting with reckless disregard for the truth
and if you've ever been in a lawsuit I don't I this is me though I never want to talk to a lawyer
ever again I never want to get an email from another lawyer again I don't like them true I don't
I just hate the whole process is fucking gut wrenching and nerve wracking and I don't I care not to
So I stay out
Don't sue me
I ain't suing nobody
We sell this
We can have mutual combat instead
Yeah
I would right yeah
I mean but they
Pull up built like that no more
PFT you know what I'm saying
Like let's just handle the one on one
We can get out
Nobody
Ain't nobody built like that no more
Yeah
Especially if you got money
You can't just walk up and punch nobody
PFT you got money dog
No
No can't do it
Emotional distress
Yeah
fuck out of here
What's the amount of money
you can have where you can't punch anybody anymore.
Net worth.
Any.
Yeah.
So just pause it of net worth.
Yeah,
they'll take all of it.
If you,
if you ain't got none,
that's even worse.
Because you can't pay it.
Now you go into debt trying to defend your actions?
Nah.
But like,
I mean,
if you,
if you roll in the M's,
it's not worth it.
Just walk away.
Yeah, for sure.
The,
the defamation,
I feel like,
would be cut and dry
because if it's a made
up story, then obviously the person didn't get anything confused. They just made it up. So it'd be
pretty clear to just be like, you made this up out of nowhere. And then as far as damages, because you
have to prove damages, I feel like that would be also cut and dry because it's like I'm running
for office, the implication that I'm in a mental institution would affect my chances at winning.
Yeah, I agree with you.
Like pretty easy to prove that. So, but also that's a like you were saying big tea, it's like get them to
deny it. That's what's kind of weird about this is you would want to defend your name,
but also how much more oxygen do you want to give to the story? And if you are going to address
it, you would think you'd be like pretty indignant about it. Yeah. Like this is obscene. Yeah.
Like to totally make up. But he was just kind of, he did his classic smile and
and just say I had the flu. That's, I don't know.
Yeah, it seems like, I don't know, it seems like it's definitely made up,
but it also seems like he might not be handling it the best way.
It's possible.
Yeah.
That would be wild if it was, if he was just in like a neighboring mental institution.
And they just got the name wrong.
It's kind of like hawks, first hawk guys.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Well, that was the other thing is why would he go to Ohio?
I guess the theory would be to get out of Texas because
Yeah, I guess.
I saw something about his friend had something to do with that place or something.
Well, I, there are other people named James Tolariko in the world.
So there's a chance that it's a different James Tolariko.
That'd be incredible.
That checked in there.
And then someone's like, oh my God, I can't believe what just came across my desk.
In other political news, Peru just elected.
a guy mayor of a small town named Hitler Mussolini.
This guy, this guy, he's a very left-wing guy.
He has to be such a good politician to get elected if your name is Hitler-Musilini.
You know how good you have to be?
That's a big time like boy named Sue.
That's a hell of a name.
What town is this, Big Tee?
Quiro Polka.
Okay.
What's his platform?
It just says a left-wing politician who shares his name with fascist dictators, Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini, has become mayor of a Peruvian town just one year after he resigned from a right-wing populist party.
Hitler Mussolini Simeon Flores prevailed with 34% of the vote in Sunday's election in Quiropa, running on a center-left ticket for Peru's Aura Nassion Party.
Okay.
So, he has right-wing populist to send his nation.
It sounds like this guy just wants to, he just wants to hold power.
That's what it sounds like to me.
Whatever I, whatever I got to do, man.
I could also see that if your name's Hitler Mussolini,
probably grow up with a bit of a narcissism complex.
So this guy's just like, I mean, you got to defend yourself at all times.
That's true.
Like, those kind of, those conversations in high school were probably wild.
All right.
So he belonged to popular force, which is the party of,
of Peru's right-wing president until 2025, despite the name being associated with Germany's
Nazi leader, Adolf Hitler, several candidates with the name have won elections in Peru.
So there's, in 2021, the doctor named Hitler Savedra Castanoque was elected to parliament for the
centrist party. In 2018, Hitler Alba Sanchez was voted in as mayor of the Andean district
of Jungar, saying during his campaign that he was the good Hitler.
So there's three people named Hitler that have been elected to office in Peru.
That's kind of crazy.
They got to type.
Yeah, branding yourself as being the good Hitler.
Not the one you're thinking of.
Well, if you already are a Hitler, you kind of have to brand yourself as, you have to lean in.
Yeah, you got to lean into it.
No one's named Adolf anymore.
Wonder why.
Yeah.
You know who is, Dolf Lundgren.
Wow.
But that's also not his real name.
He adopted the name Dolf in the 1980s.
Can you, so now that you say that, there are still some Dolfs, right?
There are a couple Dolfs.
Isn't there a wrestler that's a Dolf?
Yeah, Dolfs.
When I was told we were interviewing Dolf Lundgren, I thought that was a wrestler.
Oh, really?
Well, yeah.
I mean, not far off, Action Star.
But.
I knew who he was once we
But I
He's been in movies with wrestlers
Yeah for sure
If uh
Yeah if you run across somebody named Dolf
They're they're Adolf
Yeah

you. I take it you didn't watch any college football this weekend. Oh, I did watch college football.
Oh, did you? Wow. First time this year. Yeah, first time this year. It was a great Saturday.
It was a fantastic Saturday. What a slate it was. Oh, yeah, I watched Texas Oklahoma.
Yeah. Do you want to talk a little college ball? No, I don't care. Let's talk some college ball.
You can talk some college ball. You said it's time to end the show. No, let's talk some college ball. There's a lot to get into.
I really don't care.
Oklahoma takes down Texas,
Red River Shootout.
Thank you for calling it by its Christian name.
That's a game.
Everyone was saying,
Texas is going to dog-walk him,
non-competitive.
It doesn't matter.
It doesn't matter who is favored in that game.
It never does.
It's going to be contested.
Texas, my goodness.
Texas blew it at the end.
My goodness.
Archmanning.
I guess right now,
if the draft were held tomorrow,
I don't think he'd be the number one pick.
Hey, hand up, accountability. Nobody, nobody's been, well, some people have been more wrong.
Nobody's been much more wrong than me coming into this season about Texas.
I thought they were going to light the world on fire. They stink.
Yeah, they stink. Did not look good.
They have a runningback that I love. I don't remember his name is number five.
Relic Brown transfer from Arizona State.
I love him. They don't give him the ball that much, though.
Well, they have another guy, Hollywood Smothers, who's really good, too.
Yeah, I think he's better.
That's just my little old opinion.
But that motherfucker, I like his, I like his game.
They could very easily be a two-and-three football team right now.
Yeah.
They've played well for one quarter this season.
And it got them one of the best wins in the country,
but that's the only quarter they've played well, the whole year.
That was a very good win.
they probably should have lost to a Tennessee team that I don't think is all that great
and then they lost to an Oklahoma team who can't score.
You have to beg them to score and they still won't do it.
Yeah.
Yeah, it's very disappointing.
They had to score on a blocked punt and a pick six.
Now who does Texas have?
They go to Florida, right?
Or they host Florida.
They went there last year because they lost on the road at Florida to the bad Florida team.
That's right.
Yeah, that's what fucked them.
Florida is sputtering, but I mean...
They have Texas at home, or they have Florida at home.
Florida at home, Ole Miss at home.
Mississippi State at home.
At Missouri, at LSU.
They've got more losses coming.
And then A&M, who stinks, but again, that's...
That's another one.
That's another game.
You never know.
I mean, last year, A&M was 11 and O, right?
And Texas beat them.
Yeah, it's a big win.
Was that in College Station, too?
I think it was.
If I recall.
I think that...
It says they're playing in college station this year.
Then it was in Austin.
But yeah, still a big win for him last year.
Yeah, that was a very disappointing game for Texas fans.
Yeah.
Oh, you fans, you're back.
That'll buy your head coach another couple years.
You beat Texas as an underdog in that game.
Yeah, I don't think they wanted that.
I know.
That's the thing like Charlie Strong was kind of that guy.
Remember we put on the golden hat?
Just does barely enough to...
You beat Oklahoma when they're supposed to be one of the best teams in the country
and you're struggling at Texas.
If you win that football game,
there's a lot of disappointed boosters
around Austin that are like,
well, we can't get them out this year.
There was that game.
There was UCLA, took down Oregon,
Bob Chesney, finished the job.
Neither team really wanted to win that game.
That game sucked.
Neither team wanted to win.
Rayola played like shit,
and Nico played like shit,
and then he got hurt.
The defense for,
UCLA is really good. If UCLA had a quarterback, they'd be scary. Yeah. And you would think that
Nico would be, they've been winning, he's been doing a good job just managing the game.
That was not a case of him doing a good job managing the game against Oregon. But even if UCLA,
if they run the table and Nico goes on his trajectory, if they're the number one team in the country,
Nico's not going to get invited to New York for the Heisman ceremony. Like it's not, he's not playing
he's playing average for most of the year.
I have him 20 to 1 to make the playoff.
They're like even money right now.
Yep.
It's part of my, my JMU alliance.
I've got JMU, UCLA, Indiana to all make the playoff.
I believe I got it 43 to 1, then 33 to 1.
Now it's down to 9 to 1.
Wow.
With the alliance.
But yeah, UCLA, good team.
Bad game.
Just ugly, but it was a win.
What were the other big games?
Oh, there was, Indian Nebraska came down to the wire.
I saw that one.
Nebraska's a sci-op.
And y'all are old enough to explain this to me.
You know, you grew up liking Nebraska.
They haven't won a big game in my entire life, my whole life.
And all I hear about from the college football media,
who's old enough to remember them being good is like, man, these guys are sleeping giant.
Just wait.
They've never won a big game in my entire life.
Ever.
Yeah, I think they living off the, you know, the hype of the glory days, but the glory days
was good, though.
They were.
The glory day.
I'm talking.
I believe it, but.
We're talking, we're talking back to back.
We're talking, like, some of the best.
This is back when option football was the thing, right?
Eric Crouch.
Yeah, Tommy Fraser, Lawrence Phillips, Blackshirt defense.
Like, it was, it was a great time, man.
Beating, beating knocking off, like, top ranked Florida State, Florida, like, blowing teams out,
It was a beautiful thing to watch.
Think about how good Georgia's defense has been at their best.
Sure.
That's what Nebraska was like back in that level of intimidation.
And see, this is what it is.
It's like you, you kids don't understand.
They were.
No, I'm saying.
I'm sure they were.
I'm sure they were.
It was a great defense mixed with the best offense in college football.
That's what Nebraska was.
And it's, I think a lot of, yeah, a lot of rankings is that.
They're always going to put Nebraska up.
Florida State's like that now.
Although they didn't have that James Winston run.
Yeah, I mean, Florida State won a title, what, 13 years ago?
But that's what I'm saying.
Florida State ain't really been shit since the 90s in the early 2000s, really.
Their quarterback didn't break their leg a couple years ago.
They would have.
Yeah, they went undefeated three years ago.
Did ever tell you all about my Florida State Seminolehead thing?
No.
I don't think so.
So my dad had a hotel when I was in high school in Florida.
And so I went down to summer to go visit him.
And he was a GM of a hotel.
And every college has their own, like, traditions.
And in the Florida State locker room, there's this big seminal head.
I don't know if it's still like that now, but back then, this is what it was,
where nobody's allowed to step on a seminal head.
Like, it's like a thing, you know, like you can't step on a seminal head.
And so my dad knew somebody at the bank.
And so we got a little tour and we get to the locker room.
And there's like pictures of Dionne Sanders and, you know, all these, you know,
you know, the cats that I, you know, idolized growing up.
And I'm just looking up, like, stepping back.
I'm like, wow.
Like, I'm backing up on my mom.
I didn't do it on purpose.
I look down.
I'm in the middle of the seminal head.
And they're like, hey, hey.
And staff starts yelling at me, get the fuck off.
I was like, oh shit.
Run off the seminal head.
I stepped on the similar head.
It was wild.
Were you, like, being recruited at that point?
Like, did anyone there know who you were or you were just there is?
No, I had a 1.7.
I wasn't on the map, though.
Oh, man.
It wasn't good.
It wasn't good.
And then I was ditching class.
Did you curse the Florida State Simulam by stepping on the head?
That'd be me, bro.
Yeah, what year was that?
This was like 2001.
Oh, they were still good.
Yeah, they were good.
Yeah.
And then the James years were good.
Yeah.
They're still just the right coach away from, they could be really good.
I would agree.
They've got a fan base that is ready.
to pay for the right coach.
I think for,
they're already,
they're already trying to get the right players,
but I think the problem now,
everyone knows that Norville is a dead man walking.
So it's like if you were a high school recruit,
would you have,
would you have gone to Florida State last year?
No.
No.
So like, you tell me this is,
this is my thinking.
Now with the NIL shit,
and it's basically like free agency,
cats are choosing what school they want to go to.
Now, like,
weather matters,
like all, like all,
like all these kind of thing like do i want to be comfortable so like nebraska's not
a very sexy free agent landing spot i think it's 90% money like if if you have the money
like you know is oxford mississippi or wherever you know a desirable destination fair enough yeah
now i mean said i would love to see nebraska back to the glory days but it's just
they they promise they always recruit really really good like
like offensive defensive linemen.
But lately they just haven't been having,
they haven't had the skill players.
Right.
They've always had a really good interior play.
But I don't know.
You're right, you're right, though.
They haven't.
They've lost 31 consecutive games to ranked opponents.
Yeah, that's, that's, you know what?
That's a lot.
You know what?
That's a lot of coaching.
You offer me a spot in Nebraska.
We're going to write that ship.
Wow.
They've tried everything.
They've tried to bring it home their,
like the prodigal son
they've tried
they've tried everything at Nebraska
Bo Polini
they never they didn't realize
how good they had it with Bo Polini
that's the thing that is don't let
perfect be the enemy of great
well they were winning
10 games a year with Bo Polini
consistent or nine games
at least they were winning nine to 10 games a year
consistently with Bo Polini
and then some of the boosters there were
like we don't like that he cusses at us.
He called me a bad word when I tried to tell him how to run his football team.
Well, I was going to bring up Georgia,
because Georgia ruined that for everybody by firing Mark Rick and getting one of the best coaches ever.
That's true.
But Mark Rick's problem was the opposite.
They didn't like that he was going on mission trips and stuff during the offseason.
They're like, he doesn't recruit enough.
Yeah.
We need somebody in here that's about ball.
Yeah.
You're right.
Mark Rick.
Good Christian man, Mark Rick.
He was done wrong by those people.
Forever love, we'll ever love Mark Rook.
He, uh, he did ruin it.
Everyone's like, yeah, we, we winning nine games, 10 games a year.
It's poison if we're not winning everything.
And they nailed it.
They did nail it.
Kirby fixed that, yeah.
But yeah, Nebraska, they were, they were a good team with Bo Polini.
They were a respected team.
How many ranked opponents did Polini beat?
My computer died.
Probably a bunch.
Probably a bunch.
He was, Nebraska was a good team with him.
And then.
I had a rookie mistake on Saturday
Because I was like
This is a good slate of cottage football
I ain't got shit to do there
I'm watching games
I'm watching games
I
You know
In the prime time
I was Georgia
Alabama right
Yes
I start day drinking
You know
You know
One cup turning to two
Two to three
Three turn four
Four turning in a mo
I'm asleep by 830
And I miss the whole game
I wake up pissed
because I was looking forward to watching that game.
And there's no replays.
I couldn't find the replay.
I wanted to watch it.
Go on YouTube.
Before, it's not there.
I guarantee you there's a full game.
Fire me a link and send it to me.
I guarantee it.
There was one for 2005, but it didn't,
2006 ain't hit the street yet.
I woke up mad because I wanted to,
I wanted to watch the game without knowing who won.
And then I'm scrolling to look for the game,
and the score comes up
when you start searching for the game.
There's a 30-minute version.
Yeah, I saw that one.
That's not what I'm looking for.
I bet on YouTube TV it's on there.
I was looking, man.
I didn't see it.
It was a good game.
On some personal news,
I know people say this a lot,
but something has changed.
I found something in the golf swing.
I've been doing wrong since I started golf.
And it was an Instagram video
that I was like, huh, 11 at night, I'm scrolling, and I get up, I have carpet in my room,
and I hit these, like, little soft balls, just to practice.
And I get up and I try it.
And I was like, yes, this is the feel I've been missing.
So I can hit some balls, I hit some good balls, I can play good golf.
But I, there's just something about my ball striking that I always felt was off.
Something about it.
And there's a very simple term that,
Click, a little light bulb happened.
And my ball striking it right now, PFT,
it's, I'm talking, I'm talking five iron two ten on a line.
I tested it out the next day.
I'm playing good golf right now.
And it was a very simple little fix.
What is it?
A lot of times, and I thought,
but you a lot of that amateurs can relate to this.
A lot of the times, and the dude was like,
he was like, this is this thing I see a lot with my students.
He's like, they turn instead of tilt.
And he showed the difference.
And I was like, that feels right because like I always struggle with like, I can't get my,
I can't get my back swing that much because of my arms and I have a bigger, bigger chest.
But turns out that's not what was happening.
What was happening was I was turning rather than tilting.
And that tilt gives me the angle of the degree I need to come and strike the ball.
Okay.
And that little tilt instead of turn has changed.
It's changed how I come off the ground, the ball strike, everything.
I'm so excited about what my golf game is right now.
So it keeps your shoulders more in that same plane as where your arms are and where the club is.
As opposed if you turn, you're turning, it's more like up top, you're turning this way,
and your swing is going at more of an angle.
So it's kind of like it throws, they're not working together.
Yes. Well, so, so imagine it like, so this is why like I struggled with the slice so much, right?
Because if I'm turning, my body has no choice but to go like this.
Yeah.
I'm not giving myself an opportunity, right?
But if I tilt, so instead of turning, but if I tilt like this and if I have this arm in the correct position,
all I have to do is keep my head back and it drops in that slot beautifully.
Like it's, and my ball striking has been like, when it fly, you know that one, when it flies,
off the face.
Yeah.
I would have that every now and then.
This is happening every time I hit the ball now.
And I'm,
I'm hype.
So when are you getting back out there?
It's supposed to be done with this podcast.
Okay, let me know how it goes.
I will.
I will do that.
I'm hype about it, though.
All right, let's rip these voicemails.
This podcast is brought to you by No Bull.

Yo, what's up, Macrodocin crew?
This is Jonas from Chicago.
I got a question mostly for Arian, but I guess anyone can answer.
Aaron always talks about Barry Sanders, and I guess I never really watched highlights of his until recently.
And the biggest thing that stuck out to me is that an athlete that moved like him might not have even been a running back in today's age,
because it seems like all the best athletes in football all choose to be different positions.
So I guess I'm curious if you guys think that that might be a part of why the running back position isn't as valued anymore,
is just because the best athletes don't play it,
I'll hang up and listen.
I believe my brother has fell for propaganda.
Okay.
Yeah.
The propaganda of the running back not being valued is time after you hear it every year.
But again, I always say this.
At the end of the year when the games matter, what kind of football is being played?
You play good defense and you run the football.
This is a tail as oldest time in our game.
And they got devalued because.
I believe of propaganda marketing you marketed that running back so maybe you can fill them in
it's not it's not the case that was a case every every single system that has had good
running backs would work every single year and it doesn't why does it not because you don't
have that person that could do that Kyle Shanahan before he had like really great running back
didn't have really great run games all the time sometimes he did sometimes it didn't
Kubiak, whoever, Andy Reid, it matters.
The guys matter.
Now, I would say this.
Barry Sanders played in an era in which the runnerback was a marquee position.
They valued the runner back more as a, as, from, from outsiders' perspective,
people respected the running back more.
I think Barry Sanders could play whatever they have.
he wanted to play. He's just that
magic of a athlete.
But I think in this, I think this
today's game, he would be even more effective
because he could
they, they are, I always said it's too. I was born
one little generation before I should
have been born. If I was playing in this era
I ought to eight because in my
era, they really didn't
get us out of the backfield like that.
Especially in the system that I was in.
They didn't have a lot of routes for us out of
backfield and my skill set
was my hands. Barry
Sanders could case the ball in backfield.
Barry Sanders would eat in today's league.
He's just, you're not going to see an athlete like him.
I don't think anyway.
But I have yet to see somebody like him.
Yeah.
Played his game.
He was just one-on-one, though.
He just was the greatest.
I think you see a couple of teams this year where the best athlete is also the running
back.
And that's like the Falcons.
Bajon Robinson.
Yeah.
He's the best player.
You know one when you got one.
So people are like, oh, the running backs devalue.
No, you're not.
It's just not a lot of great one.
Like, I think my era of running back was really good.
We had a lot of dogs.
This era is like, you know, they got like three or four of them.
Like, Sequin, when he's healthy.
Dog.
Derek Henry, dog.
Like, you value.
Christian McCaffrey, dog.
Value.
Bejan Robbins, dog.
Value.
Gibbs, Detroit.
Dog.
You got one.
You riding.
And the, the, the, the, the, the, the bittersweet thing about running backs is that to be on top as a runnerback means that your body's taking more than it can handle usually.
And we don't last on because it's the hardest position to stay on top at it.
Because it's the most demanding.
It's the most demanding.
Yeah.
It's why, so why does a short share flight?
Yeah, you get, you get hit 20 times a game.
You get tackled 20 times a game.
shit hurts though
it's a good point
that's a good point
the teams that try to just plug and play
anybody they're usually the ones that don't have
ever a special running back
I'm thinking of the
Sean Pate
when you had
Reggie Bush
and you had
no disrespect
what's his name
26 was his name
they had Mark Ingram
I had Mark Ingram too
yeah
but it was before him
Pete not
oh yeah Pierre
something that
for his name.
But the one before that,
played with Reggie,
it was a one-two punch.
I forget his name.
No disrespect.
But when you got dogs back there,
your off-letch flourishes.
It opens up the play action,
which makes the safety come down in the box.
Now that opens up the past game.
Like, running the ball is essential.
It is absolutely valued.
It just gets devalued because running backs
have a shorter shelf life because it's a harder position to play.
It's propaganda.
Runnybacks are definitely valued.
Yeah.
All right.
Next question.
Hey guys, James New Jersey here.
I got a question for Ari and got something I've wondered almost 30 years now.
I was a huge Dan Marino Dolphins fan growing up.
And as we all know, one of the biggest criticisms of those Dolphins teams was they never had a consistent running game.
It's gotten to the point where people have been talking about recently that there was a disservice to Marino.
And he was famously not mobile.
I've always wondered something.
as a running back.
Could you feel a difference between quarterbacks handing you the football?
Did it ever think it was affecting you negatively?
Did you ever have a quarterback who was just a split-second slower getting you the ball
and that could delay or affect your timing, the offensive lines blocking on your ability to kind of hit the hole?
I've always wondered if Marino's lack of mobility somehow kind of affected Miami's running game
because of the timing of those hands off?
No.
So the run game is the system is built in the footwork.
So you don't really notice if a quarterback can get there or not.
He'll get there.
What I would say, like the differences which you'll notice is like with mobile quarterbacks,
it opens up a lot more than it does with the immobile quarterback.
Because if you, let's say you run a wide stretch.
the threat of a bootleg is way more of a triple threat with a mobile quarterback than it is
somebody who can't run.
Like you have your first, second, third read as a quarterback after the play action.
Whereas if you have a mobile quarterback, we got to either have a spy on him most of the game
or this DN that's outside contained.
He'll break more often than not with a mobile quarterback.
Defenders have to sit more.
When you don't have a mobile quarterback,
they're more aggressive on the run.
And so that's where you feel it.
And I never play with a mobile quarterback in the league.
I play with a semi-mobile quarterback.
You can feel the difference.
They have to respect it.
Yeah.
He wasn't going to dukeye on nobody.
I think he actually did dukeo on somebody
when I was with the Texans.
But it wasn't a threat like that.
But it was enough so he had to respect it.
And you could feel the difference
as a runnerback when,
team respects the legs of a quarterback.
Whereas, you know, if you play with somebody, like, no disrespect.
Like, Matt Scha wasn't that mobile.
They don't really respect that.
Right.
If you have a quarterback that is like, yeah, Fitzpatrick, he was always a threat to
pick up a first down.
Yeah.
He could always do it.
Now, and Dan Marino's, he didn't need to have, he didn't need to be mobile.
Dan Marino was another one of ones.
Like, if you watch him spin that bitch, he could spin that thing.
I would argue with the best.
to ever do it.
Like he's up there with the Aaron Rogers,
Peyton Manning's,
like he could spin that thing.
And so,
I think he had a 5,000 year seasons
back when it was a running game.
Yeah.
It wasn't the passing league it was now.
And he did it without the rules that are today's
like protecting quarterbacks.
So Marino was one-on-one.
But no, to ask you a question,
brother, no, that was never a thing.
The run itself is built in with the footwork for the quarterback to get there.
He'll get there.
He'll get there.
Okay.
Last one.
Hey, Macrodotes and crew.
This is Kyle from New Jersey.
I'm in a little bit of a dilemma that I need help with.
I hope you can help.
So I'll try to make it as short as possible.
I found out my girlfriend of three years that I've also been living together for the last year and a half,
I've slept with someone recently.
I think this is the only time, but who really knows.
The relationship was in Rocky for the last year, I'd say.
We fought a few times, but a couple months ago we had a bad fight,
and I said, if you don't clean up your act, I want to terminate the lease.
She got all upset and thanked that I broke up her then,
even though we had a few conversations stating that this isn't the case.
But, well, anyway, I've been telling her to clean up after herself
because she's been a slob and that she needs to put more effort in things
because she's always late to work.
It doesn't help me around the house with chores, errands, and stuff.
like that which affected relationship.
Biggest issue was we haven't had sex in over a year.
And honestly, if I was getting some, 95% of these problems wouldn't exist.
But anyway, so she's been acting shady and I went through her phone and that's how I found out.
She doesn't know that I know and she left for a work trip.
So I've been moving stuff out of my apartment, out of our apartment since.
my problem is I feel guilty doing this
like moving, looking back at the relationship,
I feel like I could have been a better boyfriend at times
but also she really could have done so much better
like I feel the bare minimum wasn't met with her.
So she did be unforgivable
so I feel this is the only option.
So when she comes back in a few days,
she's going to be in for a real surprise.
Am I handling this right? I really don't know
but thank you guys for listening.
Stay handsome, stay beautiful, stay gorgeous.
All right.
Bye guys.
All right.
No.
No.
No.
Toxicity.
Yes.
Please call back.
Please call back.
This has got, as, it's Monday.
Was this that he's referencing today that she comes back?
Please call back.
This guy.
Yeah, I think it was left on like maybe Thursday.
Okay.
No disrespect to this guy.
Because he's obviously going through a tough time in his life.
now. Are you handling things right? It sounds like you haven't been handling. It sounds like nobody's
been handling. Disrespect to both of them. This relationship. No one's been handling it well for the last
years. You guys should have broken up a really long time ago. This seems like you guys have not enjoyed
being around each other for a very long time. It sounds like at some point the relationship
it turned more into like you acting like her boss or her dad and less like a supportive partner.
And I'm not saying it's all on him.
It sounds like that there's a huge amount of toxicity coming from the girlfriend as well in this relationship,
especially with the cheating and the disrespect and all that.
Especially with the cheating.
This is something that this is years, maybe at least one year, possibly years overdue.
No, just the way that you're handling right now, I would not say is the right or normal or correct way to do it.
it's almost like it's a relationship.
You're looking at this as like a relationship move.
Like she's going to come back from a work trip,
bet she's going to be surprised when all my stuff's gone.
Then she'll have to call me up being like,
hey,
where's all your stuff?
What the fuck?
Did you move out?
Yeah,
where's he taking it?
And then I'll be like,
yeah,
I moved out because.
Because you cheated on me and I looked through your phone and I found it
and I didn't tell you that I knew.
Wait,
no,
no,
I think,
I thought he said he's taking her stuff out.
Not his.
Oh,
I thought it's his.
I thought it was his.
I thought maybe I miss heard.
Whatever way he's doing it, it sounds like...
It's the wrong way.
It sounds like you're surprised moving either your stuff or her stuff out as part of a move in the relationship.
So that way...
Her stuff is white-fodding her.
You'll get to talk to her about why your stuff's gone again.
And it'll be another great fight that you guys get to get into.
It's like a gotcha moment.
It seems like...
And it sounds like maybe this relationship was started and there was like crazy spark between you two.
And it was always a little bit volatile because...
the way that it sounds like you guys have been interacting is just like absolutely nuts
and that can maybe it was fun nuts when it first started and now it's just driven you guys
both to be actually insane when it comes to this relationship my suggestion would be i just
move out like a normal person and then tell her i think it's best if we put a put a nail in this
situation break up like a normal person for good and good luck there's a rest of your life i i agree
There is a variable in here that I will grant some leniency towards.
And when you feel like you've been traded, you've been cheated on, that's a very hurtful thing.
And I don't want to invalidate my man's experience with that.
No, that sucks.
But coming from, I've experienced that exact thing to where I actually did put her shit
outside my house, I ended up putting it back an hour later because I came to my senses.
Because as wrong as she did me, you don't want to set the precedent of tip for tat because the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, you're hurt. It's a hurt. And so you want her to feel that hurt. And, you, how, how, how, how, how, how, how, how you just should deal with it is, it's a L. We got cheated all, dog.
I don't think you necessarily wrong for going through it.
her phone, I don't do that now, right?
That was a stage where I got, I felt like I got driven to that point because there was
dishonesty and there was distrust.
And I found out that it was the case.
But you don't, you don't want to live like that because it's, it's a burden on you.
Is she wrong?
Yeah.
But now, think about your next situation.
If there's any kind of distrust, your go to can't be I got to check the phone because I got
hurt last time. Your go-to needs to be communication. You go-to needs to be, hey, listen,
this is, I'm going to tell you what I went through. This is what I'm feeling. You're not wrong
for asking for some kind of reassurance in a relationship. That's not, that's not wrong.
But where you go wrong is developing a habit, I feel like you have ownership over somebody.
You don't own nobody. Whether or not y'all break each other's trust, that's life.
But you don't own nobody. And again, you don't want to set that press.
of this is my go-to when I'm hurt.
I believe this with everything in my soul.
Who you are at your lowest of the lows is actually who you are.
Because you don't have anything to lose.
You have everything in the game.
So a captain is measured by how he navigates Rocky Waters, not the calm waters.
Be honorable when you hurt, though.
I know it's hard to be honorable when you hurt.
Like, that's the true measure of character.
Be a good human, be a good man, even, even.
even though somebody was a good deal.
It's a very good point.
And I think that if you end this relationship by, like,
with a crazy move, like, putting, moving shit out of the apartment without telling her about it,
all that means is when you guys do move on, you go to your next relationship,
there's a high probability that your ex is going to be involved in your new relationship somehow.
Somehow.
Where you, like, have to explain to your new girlfriend,
oh yeah, that's my crazy ex.
She calls me every now and again.
Things didn't end up well.
And then it becomes, it's an anchor on any new relationships that you're trying to form.
Also coming from a girl's perspective, if, and I understand that you were cheated on and that's really bad.
But if I were the next girlfriend and I heard this situation and I heard you took her stuff out of the apartment or, you know, moved out without telling her, if I heard this voicemail,
and I was about to date you, I would be like, ooh, that is an odd way to deal with conflict.
It's a red flag.
Yeah.
It's like, are you mature enough to have conflict in a real way and, like, be able to have disagreements and get through them without going to like the most red hot, angry version of yourself?
I don't know.
Yeah.
If I'm just starting to date you, I don't know you that well to know what you're like, you know, at your job.
deepest darkest moments.
So that would be something I would think of as a definite tick that I have to look at.
That's a real thing.
I would say a good portion of people that are in jail are good people, but didn't understand
how to handle their emotions in a moment where they were hurt.
And they made a bad decision.
And sometimes it costs their life.
Like I'm not saying it's that deep, but it could be a passion of love.
people go to jail for that shit.
Yeah, the opposite of love is not hate.
And I'm not saying you wrong for filling with you feeling.
I'm saying you wrong for how you dealing with it.
You don't want to go down that path because it's a dark path.
And in my journey of healing, best advice, you know what I'm saying?
Like, you don't own nobody.
And nobody owe you love.
They give it to you, that's what's up.
But nobody owes you love.
And don't try to force it.
Don't try to force it.
Like, like, if she's doing what she's doing, those are her demons, she got to, she got
to parse out with that with her conscious and, and in her future.
That's not on you.
But like, let's not, let's not make, let's not make this a character trait.
You know what I mean?
Hey, you chose to go somewhere else and do something else?
That's, I respect that.
But I'm not going to go out.
I'm going to get me out of my, you know, the great prophet, Kendrick Lamar.
I said, I got to slap a pussy-ass niggie.
I'm gonna make it look sexy.
Can't get me out my element.
Don't let it take you out your element, dog.
Stay in your lane.
Be a good, be a good dude.
Also, he lost a little bit of sympathy when he was like,
yeah, I'd probably be nicer to her if we were having sex.
Yeah, that's not great.
Yeah, another bad.
The slum thing got me too.
Yeah.
It's a conversation, though.
They should have broken up a while.
Yeah.
Yeah.
A lot of hate going at our, thank you for calling, brother.
We appreciate it.
We do need an up to you.
I don't like everybody piling on.
this guy.
I don't like either of them.
It'll let you say that.
Yeah, this isn't great.
Fair enough. But I mean, it's a good sign that it might be time to go your separate ways
if you're in a relationship and you ever use a phrase, it's time for her to clean up
her act.
Yeah.
There was some choice phrases.
Yeah.
That might be the end.
That's a pretty definite point where you can say.
I hope she doesn't listen.
Because number one, it's not like you should, that's not anything that should be on your
mind as a part of the relationship, like, when is she going to clean up her act?
Like, you guys should, your acts should be together and they should be equally, equally clean
or equally dirty.
It's a conversation.
It's a, hey, babe, like, I just like to live in a little bit more cleaner environment.
Like, let's just make a consort of effort.
Let's just pick up after each other.
You know what I'm saying?
Whatever.
Something like that.
Something nice.
You don't be like, you're a fucking slob and you ain't giving me none.
It can get a little toxic real fat.
Also, not to intrude on your sex life, but you kind of put it out there to start.
If you're saying you haven't had sex for a year, that's a, like there had to have been other things happening along the way.
And we're like, we got in a couple fights.
A couple fights does not lead to no sex for a year.
Yeah.
And I don't know if there's crossover of macrodosing and Vanderpup rules, listeners, watchers, but it's giving Tom Sandoval.
Yeah.
Also.
Niche.
But also, can I, if I can make an assumption here,
I'm so sorry if this is crazy.
We can cut this if this is a little bit too crazy.
If you're getting in crazy fights, shouldn't you be like having makeup sex?
Yep.
Okay.
Yeah.
That's what, that's, I was kind of alluding to that, that it sounds like they've always
had a crazy chaotic relationship.
Yeah, that's where I was getting that.
And the sex was probably really good.
And at being like a main component of your, if then you just stop having that crazy good sex.
and it's just the fights.
What's the point?
What is even the point?
What's the point if you're having fights and make up sex?
Like, don't.
Because in those chaotic relationships, the guy and the girl,
they're both still getting their, like, hit of dopamine with the sex.
And so then they can overlook everything else because they're like, yeah, you know what?
Like, once I get my next hit, then it's going to be, everything's going to be good.
Right.
And then you take away the hits.
And now you're just pissed off all of it.
Now you're just addicts going through withdrawals.
Halls.
Roommates.
Roommates that you hate.
Right.
The no sex for a year thing
makes me feel like there's
like other things simmering under the surface.
Like you guys,
you guys just might hate each other.
Yeah.
You guys just might hate each other if you're,
they do.
Yeah.
Like obviously they're cheating on each other
or he's cheating on him.
Like there's a whole thing,
but like there are things you have mentioned
in this voicemail that lead me to leave
these are deep, deep,
insidious waters.
that we are diving into.
Yeah.
And it's not,
just to be clear,
it's not entirely,
it's not on this guy.
It's,
it sounds like,
it's not the right relationship.
It's not the right relationship.
Sounds like you,
like she brought out the worst than you,
you brought out the worst than her.
Let's just call it quits and say,
hey,
it's time to break up,
time to go with separate waves,
it weighs,
and then just kind of leave it be.
You do it amicably.
You know,
don't,
Yeah. Yeah. Good luck, though.
This call was days ago.
I'd love to hear it.
Her stuff was gone.
It might be in jail.
I'd love to hear an update.
Me too.
And also this guy, when he listens back to his voicemail,
it sounds like he left the voicemail in a state of anger.
He's probably listened back and he's like,
I probably wish I probably could have phrased a couple things differently.
Yeah, I hope.
The way I put it to them.
But yeah, good luck.
Just try to be normal with a breakup.
100 grand.
All right. Anything else?
I love those calls.
That's a great call.
That's a good one to end on, I think.
Yeah. I knew you guys would like that one.
That's a good one to end on.
All right. Well, we will see you guys on Thursday's episode of macrodosing.
Until then, love you guys.
Thanks, PFT.
You got it. Yeah, have fun.
