Starting point is 00:00:00 Happy Thursday, everyone. So excited to welcome you back to the Marketing Happy Hour podcast. Wait, I don't think it's Thursday, Erica. What? It's not? Oh my gosh, let me check my calendar. It is definitely Tuesday. Oh my gosh, you're so right. It's Tuesday. Well, wonder why we're doing this on a Tuesday. Um, if you're out there and wondering the same thing we're about to tell you, that's what this whole little 10 minute episode is about. Probably not even going to be 10 minutes. Just telling you about these little bonus episodes

Starting point is 00:00:42 that we're going to be launching starting well I guess today yeah okay but first we have to of course talk about what we're drinking right now yes what do you have marketing happy hour after all yeah um I this morning wasn't able to use my espresso machine and I have to descale it so that's a process. And I came over to Cassie's house and I was like, do you have any caffeine? And she's like, no, totally. And I think at first she misunderstood me. And she was like, here's some coffee that you can take. I was so okay. To be fair, the way Erica posed the question was like, I have to descale my machine. Do you have coffee? And I was like, wait, you need coffee to descale my machine do you have coffee and I was like wait you need coffee to descale your

Starting point is 00:01:26 machine I was like yeah sure here's some beans to take home and she's like no no no I mean uh I didn't get to drink my coffee can I have some coffee to drink and I was like yes so all of that long story to say I have a clever matcha latte it's actually actually really, really good. So highly recommend. It's the first time I've ever tried it, but I think I heard about it from Carson Murray. Yes. Yeah. Who was a guest on.

Starting point is 00:01:52 Yeah. She's a matcha girly and loves her matcha. Yeah. She creates great matcha on her Instagram. So follow her for matcha tips. Anyways, well, yeah. So let's get into the main topic. The juicy question we have for today is, why in the world are we recording on Tuesdays?

Starting point is 00:02:12 That's such a great question. I'm so glad you asked that, Cassie. Well, we are introducing some bonus episodes. And there's going to be four different like kinds or types of these episodes. So we just wanted to run through them really quickly. We're going to be rolling these Tuesday episodes out every other week for now, just to test it out and kind of see how this all works with the idea to make them an every week bonus in the coming months.

Starting point is 00:02:42 So the first one that we're going to be doing the first little segment on Tuesdays is called ask MHH or marketing happy hour. And that's really just an ask us anything. We'll post a call for questions and our marketing happy hour insiders group on LinkedIn and sometimes on Instagram stories. And you can ask us really anything about marketing, PR, starting a podcast, searching for a job, book recommendations, skincare items, like best coffee shops in whatever city, whatever you want, we're here to answer it.

Starting point is 00:03:14 And we just wanted to connect with our community a little bit more in this way. So we're excited about that. And it allows you guys to get to know us a little bit more, I guess too, and just us to share on some of our favorite topics. And so look out for those question prompts on LinkedIn and Instagram. Okay.

Starting point is 00:03:33 So the next topic or format episode is open for hire. So the idea of this, we just really want to be helpful to you. If you're looking for a job or changing your career. I feel like there's a lot of people out there who are in the job market right now or are maybe a little unsatisfied with their current career and just looking to take that next step. So it'll be really interesting to hear from people who are, you know, in that process and it can maybe help somebody out there who doesn't really know where to begin. So the next one is called, where are they now? Where we will be bringing

Starting point is 00:05:21 back some of our previous guests for an update on where they are now and what new projects that they're working on. It's kind of funny, Cassie and I joke all the time. I don't know if this is like a good thing to even say, but a lot of our past guests have since moved on to like bigger and better like careers and things that they're doing in their life. Whether that's like taking a new position at a new company or just starting their own businesses or things like that. And we call it jokingly the marketing happy hour curse, but it's just, we're just joking. And it's like a funny little positive curse to have. No, it's good. It's good because everyone we've talked to seems to be in better positions or they're just happier. You know, maybe this was the next step in their

Starting point is 00:06:11 career and they just happened to take it right after they chatted with us and not saying that their past positions were bad by any means, but it's just really cool so far to see the marketing happy hour community of guests just evolving in their career in front of our eyes. And it's just so happened to be in the last year and a half since we started this podcast. So it's pretty cool to see. Yeah. So the last format that we have for you is the panel Q and a, so we're going to be inviting experts to speak on specific subject areas for rapid fire Q&A. Again, keeping all of these within 10 minutes. So short and sweet, listen on your commute or wherever you are. And we'll link the application for those specific episodes in upcoming show notes

Starting point is 00:06:59 or the show notes too. We'll kind of create a process for that, but we'll figure out topics as we go. And maybe this can be tied into some of the things that people ask us for the ask MHH episodes. We'll figure it out, but stay tuned for announcements on those. But yeah, super excited about all these new formats. It's very, very cool. Next step in the world of marketing happy hour. Yeah.
