Starting point is 00:00:00 You know, thanks for what you do with your podcasts and all the rest. You're doing a great job. Hope everybody keeps tuning in. You get a lot of good info, a lot of insights, understandings of how to get strong, how to stay strong, how to use your strength. You do a great job, dude. You make things better than they are in real life, I think.
Starting point is 00:00:15 If you don't follow Massanomics, you all do it. Social media, website, everything. Massonomics. What's up, everyone? We're back for episode 541 of the Massanomics podcast. That's right. episode 41 of season two, the lifting podcast about near Finn. And my name is Tanner.
Starting point is 00:00:46 And my name is Tommy. And great news, I'm less sick than last week. You know, right before this, I had to pull up the podcast to check on something quick. And I was still in shock at how bad you sounded last week. Yes. Still caught me off guard. I did pull a sound clip from last week's episode and I'm like, that doesn't sound like my voice.
Starting point is 00:01:07 That doesn't sound like my normal voice. health issues. The home gym con plague is not all the way gone from my body, but it has, it is on the way out. I hired one of those people. What is, what do they do to you when you're possessed by a demon?
Starting point is 00:01:24 An exorcist. Yeah, I hired an exorcist. I mean, we've all hired one or two before. Be gone, home gym con plague. Out. This host doesn't want you anymore. And it is very slowly leaving.
Starting point is 00:01:41 Actually, all home gymcon plague jokes aside, I got really sick from home gymcon. I can't believe you did, and I apparently did not. Big Tom from the, Tom from Massonomics, Jim, maybe I brought it with me, and it was just a slow to act because he actually was sick too. And I think, you know, we never crossed paths since I got back. So I think maybe it was, maybe it was. as an Aberdeen sickness. I feel like if he's getting sick, it's got to be pretty severe.
Starting point is 00:02:15 Yeah. That guy's got some extreme immunities. Yeah. Just like a regular person that gets sick and doesn't go to work. Yeah. 541, banger of an episode. And I want to kick it off with some hot news. Elite FTS,
Starting point is 00:02:32 newest sponsor of the podcast. And yeah, it's their end of summer sale. We know school's starting soon back around the country. It's the Brown County Fair. Everyone globally understands that the Brown County Fair in Aberdeen, South Dakota signifies the end of summer. And that means, along with the Brown County Fair,
Starting point is 00:02:51 you're going to have end of summer deals at EliteFTS.com. Like 10% off of equipment, 30% off of their bands and 30% off of apparel. That's not even the best part. The best part, grab your corn dog at the Brown County Fair, on down to the elitefts.com into summer sale and stack on code mass 10 to save an additional 10% off some products. Thank you, Elite FTS.
Starting point is 00:03:20 Hell yeah. This episode is also brought to you by the Strength Co. The Strength Co. They make American made goods and not just anything over there. Although they do have a lot of things, but their bread and butter, their specialty is the go-to plates of massanomics gym. plates at my home gym. And it's the Strength Co plates. They're smoothed, easy to grip.
Starting point is 00:03:45 They're made to last a lifetime. They're black. They're e-coated. They're made to look great in your home gym. And they do look great in your home gym. Anytime I go out into my gym. I just stare at these plates that look so good. Anytime we do a gym tour that it has strength co plates,
Starting point is 00:03:58 we also have to stop and stare at them because they look that good. Get a set for yourself today. You will not regret it over at the strength. Dot co. And if you want something even more special, they have their America 250 plate. coming out shortly here. So make sure to get on the list so you can get in on that limited edition plate.
Starting point is 00:04:16 Thank you, the Strength Co. Yeah, I see our live chat listeners. If you're a supporting member, you can listen to the podcast live. I see some speculation as to possibly as Coop with the biological warfare. We did run into Coop.
Starting point is 00:04:34 More suspicious, though, that I like this theory that maybe it was the rogue-equipped, the rogue equipped gym guys, their gym tours. I thought, I thought I saw a couple of them given us side eyes, you know. The road,
Starting point is 00:04:49 not just rogue, but the rogue equipped gym. No, not the rogue equipped gym. The rogue equipped gym team was giving us some. I thought I saw, I feel like there's not much of a team behind that. They just tell the person what to do and that's it. Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:05:02 It's a very big team for sure. I saw them looking at us. They're taking pictures of our booth. Damn it. Rogue equipped gym guys. Put a team guys. TV in their booth. Damn it.
Starting point is 00:05:13 And they got green carpet. We can't compete with this. We're just one branch of a much larger company. We're just the rogue equipped gyms. What do you think about jumping right? This is going to be a call in episode. So it's a Q&A episode. But it's actually what we do is a call out episode.
Starting point is 00:05:37 We only do one or two of these a year. We usually only do them because, half the people don't answer their phone. I tried to be very passive-aggressive in the Q&A for this, the Q&A sign up this week. Which probably means engagement will be at an all-time low here. I tried to be very specific that you need to be available for the call. You know, this is good.
Starting point is 00:06:01 Not a lot of people make phone calls anymore, so this will let everyone get that feeling of having a phone call and letting it go nowhere. You know, we're going to do that big time of night. Yes. The problem with trying to call people is no, everyone has all calls silence at all times. Okay, should we try a couple calls? Let's do it.
Starting point is 00:06:22 Do you want to be briefed on anything who I suspect it may be before we call anyone, or do you just want to play by here? If you want to tell me you can, if you think it's relevant, I'm going to crack into this cold one now. I'm just right. I'll thirsty. I'm going to be. We'll have to maybe play with the volume on this first, this test.
Starting point is 00:06:41 run also to see how it works. These people are not pre-screened. They could be... Would you say it's uncut, unrecorded, and... Yes. Unfiltered. Well, if they get too nasty, we'll have to actually cut them. And hopefully this cable and everything works with the setup.
Starting point is 00:07:02 It's been a while. Stained. First one, he's even in the... Jake, Jake, I see you're listening along the line. Do people actually... set their phones and not take calls from anywhere? I don't know. What does happen that it goes directly to a thing like that?
Starting point is 00:07:27 I don't know. The only ones that my phone directly ignores is the ones that I get every single day from actual telemarketers. Right. Otherwise, everything I get does ring. Yeah. Yeah. All right. We'll give him, well, maybe we'll come back to him.
Starting point is 00:07:47 Okay. maybe well there's a little thing you lose your chance all right next one up I'm just going down the list we'll go a little more local this this uh will not show up as an odd number to this person
Starting point is 00:08:02 I don't think welcome to oh my god you really do you know I feel like we used to be a proper freaking country when you called someone
Starting point is 00:08:14 the phone rang and at least the rain All right. Well, we'll do one more, and the segment's done. Oh, who do we got? Can you crank that big time over there? Let me crank this up. More crank.
Starting point is 00:08:41 I got it all the way as high as she goes. Maybe I can turn it up on my phone. Yes, on your phone. Okay. Who do we got? Yep, now my phone and the board are both at 10. Okay. Okay.
Starting point is 00:08:53 Is that you big generally? That's me. Okay. Am I caller number 69? You are the first person to successfully answer this week. So your voice is officially on the Massonomics podcast, and does that make any certain number? What are we at for checking?
Starting point is 00:09:16 That's 12 for me right there. No, this is actually 12 right. So that's 12 live as we speak. Yes, that's right. You know what that means? That makes you cup recipient number 69. That is the best news ever. Yeah, so that's big news.
Starting point is 00:09:36 We're calling you all the way from Western Northeast South Dakota. Are you familiar with the area? Yeah, yeah. Every once in a while, I'm listening to your voice, and then I pass by you on the road. It's totally not weird at all. Yeah, that's a normal thing to happen. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:59 Do you have a question or comment for the call-in episode? I was going to explain my back catalog journey just a little bit. Okay. But there's a chance it might take some people off. I don't know. So this is your, did you say it's your one simple hack for listening to the Massanomics podcast, back catalog? Okay. Yeah, this was my other attempt to try to get to that 69th cup.
Starting point is 00:10:26 But I got 1-243 done. And then I realized I listened to one Strongman Showdown recap, one episode with Julian and one Arnold episode. And then I decided I was going to do all of those in order. Yep. So now I've listened to every single Arnold episode. in order. Oh. And then I
Starting point is 00:10:54 finished that and now I'm listening to all the Julian episodes in order. And then I'm going to listen to all the Strong Man Showdown recaps or previews
Starting point is 00:11:04 or whatever and then the meat to recaps. So you're kind of batching your bat catalog journey. Yeah. I don't know if anyone's done it but I kind of like it
Starting point is 00:11:15 so far. And it's just been really funny. Yeah, there's going to be some people that don't like that method, I'm pretty sure. So it's just funny because you guys are like, oh, yeah, we ate at this, this German kitchen. I don't really know what it's called. And then you immediately go in and you go through it over and over and over. Oh, my gosh, we love Hubert.
Starting point is 00:11:41 And then it just turns into. So that part, it's kind of neat. I guess. and I don't know. There must not have been in 2021. I never did find that one. I think there wasn't. But, yeah, so you get like the evolution of like the Hubert's Polish kitchen throughout the years.
Starting point is 00:11:56 Okay. And everything else. Yeah. There's definitely going to be some people that don't like that method. Next question. Is your partner in crime there? We wondered if he may also have a question in the podcast. He is.
Starting point is 00:12:10 He is here, right? Yeah, I'm right here. Yeah, I did have a question. So, this phone line's hotter than a cinder block painted like Schachnosis slipped into a fleece line snowboot. Yes. My question is, would having a booth at home gym con make sense for someone like me who essentially makes or would be offering custom made, strong man equipment made to order? Yeah, that's a good question. First of all, the things that work in its favor is booths at home gymcon are relatively reasonably priced.
Starting point is 00:12:56 I do believe you would find customers there. I'm like 100% positive of that. Some of the stuff, shipping is going to obviously be the problem for some of the people. But I've also noticed sometimes some customers don't care about that. They want certain things and look cool. and if it's strongman equipment, they're probably willing to pay the shipping. The biggest thing would be probably you deciding if you're ready to get a whole bunch of orders or not. That's what I was going to say.
Starting point is 00:13:23 Are you ready for the possibility of getting 20 orders in a day, you know, something like that? Right. Right. Yeah. Yeah, okay. Yeah, and I kind of anticipated that as being the answer. I just, you know, talking to someone who has firsthand experience being there like you guys and just thought I'd check what the was and, you know, people were actually there to, you know, place orders on things and stuff like that.
Starting point is 00:13:52 I think so. And I think there's probably, you probably get a lot of leads and stuff. Obviously, we're not there selling big equipment. And I feel like, yes. I feel like it actually would be if you're wanting, if you're wanting to get orders, it would be a place that you could get orders going for your stuff. I think kind of without a doubt. And there was some talk like Tanner Paxton, even talking like,
Starting point is 00:14:14 do a few crew members get together and, you know, split a couple, you know, like you say three crew members split two booth spaces or whatever the, you know, if not everyone needs necessarily 10 feet, is there a way to get a bunch of good people together to split a certain amount of space and make it more economical for everyone too? I'm not sure. Yeah. I think there's probably options there of something that would work pretty well and be cool too. But yes, overall, I think the answer is yes. you could absolutely do it. Perfect. Hey, that's it.
Starting point is 00:14:49 Wait, that wasn't a cup level for you too, was it? No, but it gets, I'm very, very close. Yeah, are you at 11 then, or what's your number? Yeah, I believe so. And I'm more, well, yeah, I'm about halfway through the back catalog, give or take, probably more than that, really. Well, at least someone in the family is a cup level Hall of Fame. Yeah, really.
Starting point is 00:15:13 I'm not going to hold back contest went too. Sorry. All right. Thanks for the call. Thanks, guys. Yeah. Thank you, guys. See you later.
Starting point is 00:15:23 All right. We got our first couple of, just, just, because this is probably going to come up on multiple calls. So everyone understands. We're talking about the Massanomics supporting member Hall of Fame. And getting your voice on the podcast is one of the 16 potential check marks that you could get. So that's what we're talking about. If you get to 12 check marks, you get a cup, if you get to 15 check marks,
Starting point is 00:15:49 that's when you get your Hall of Fame jacket. It's very hard to make it to jacket level. It's also not all that easy to make it to the cup level. Like there's people that have been very involved for several years. Take some time. And are working at making it to the cup level. Okay, should we try another call? Let's do it.
Starting point is 00:16:06 Maybe I won't even ask. I'll just assume you're trying another call. We're going to go back to that. first call and this is this final opportunity here we'll give it a shot it's going to go to a different oh it's ringing oh my gosh is that nice and like that's audible okay i wonder if they were in the car or something yeah i think it was a car issue wasn't it what's up fellas oh is this big jakey it's big jakey uh we got you this time we caught the tater yeah yeah you have What is this an important checkmark for you as well or is this is one of one of the check marks on your journey, I suppose.
Starting point is 00:16:55 Uh-oh. Jakey, are you in a low spot or a bunker of some kind? Jakey, are you going through a total cell phone service coverage area? Oh, no. We have nothing. All right. Well, you got his voice on the podcast. You know, we didn't say how long, but it was there. Okay. Man, I think that that was his voice.
Starting point is 00:17:29 All right. We're just going to keep going down the list. Howdy, howdy. Oh, is this big fat Tyler? This is. Big fat Tyler. How's it going? It's going great. Last time we saw you, we were at the liver.
Starting point is 00:17:51 hard, live easy classic in the Dean. That's right. I had one more vehicle when I started that trip than I do now. You do? There's been some interesting travel stories over the years to the lift, hard, leave easy classics.
Starting point is 00:18:08 Yours is probably the worst up to this point. Thankfully, it's just a story, though. Nothing else had to come out of it. True. Okay. Yes. Yes.
Starting point is 00:18:21 So did you have a question for it? us here tonight. I did. I had a serious goose and a silly goose question. Did you have a preference? Oh, dealer's choice. Okay. A few episodes ago, you were giving us your sparkling soccer commentary on the World Cup. And you mentioned that you would have bicycle kicked the shit out of something. I was wondering, what's on your Mount Rushmore of things you would bicycle kick the shit out of it? Okay, so Tommy, you can help me here. I'll say,
Starting point is 00:18:56 I'll say, Tanner, do you know what a bicycle kick is, or did you just say that? Oh, no, I'd bicycle kick the shit out of stuff, where I like, where you like do a flipping kick up in there where your legs are up in there. First, I'd go, rogue-equipped gym tours. Bicycle kick the shit out of those. They're gone.
Starting point is 00:19:16 So rogue-equipped gym tours, Tango Charlie Apparel, bicycle kick the shit out of those. I got to go. That guy that said my quads were small. Yeah. Bicycle kick him right in the knits. What about the guy that said that won't build size?
Starting point is 00:19:35 Yeah, that wasn't like quite as personally offensive. It wasn't like picking apart my body. He's just saying like, it was more about the exercise. He's more concerned about your well-being. It was a personal attack. Right. I'll be up after my thing. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:51 Did you just tell something you'll be up after your thing? You'll have to go back and look at. Classic. So we're at one more. Tommy, any ideas? That would be, I like all the prior choices.
Starting point is 00:20:09 Yeah. There's, there, boy. I'll just go a soccer ball. There you go. You know, just for traditional things.
Starting point is 00:20:19 Traditional. It's true. Yeah. It seems like a safe. Okay. Thank you. Excellent question. Big Fat Tyler.
Starting point is 00:20:26 Yeah. Thanks, guys. All right. We'll see you later. Kudos to Tyler for her being, having an audible connection. It's not an assumption in this day and age. Not using a voice scrambler when he's talking into the phone. His phone rang.
Starting point is 00:20:49 He answered. You could hear him. That's not a given, apparently, with today's technology. All right. Next batter. Hello. Big Abby, is this you? It is. You're live on the Massonomics podcast. Your voice is on the show.
Starting point is 00:21:18 Oh, my goodness. That's a checkmark. It sure is. So what does that bring you to? 10. Okay, so you're on the road to a cup. Yeah, we'll see if Jake can convince me to compete next year in the Lift Hardl of Easy Classic. He told me if we called you, you would compete in the lift.
Starting point is 00:21:37 Hardly Veezy classic. That would get me a cup. Yeah. There. So. Almost can't afford not to. I suppose. But if you're competing, then who's going to be running things?
Starting point is 00:21:48 Well, I would do powerless. Okay. No way I could do strong. Do you runch only. Just cruise on in. Yeah. Yeah. Well, you, what we, you could do grip even also.
Starting point is 00:21:59 Oh. Okay. Yeah, that could be. I don't know. I guess have we, I mean, I think at least going forward, it counts because if, If it's in the program, then I think it counts. And I think we're talking about it, it's getting up to level this next year. So I think starting in 2027, competing in grip even counts as competing at the Lift Hardly VZ.
Starting point is 00:22:19 So there's an option too. All right. Okay. Did you have a question for us? I do. I know that you and Jake haven't talked about this at all. What event would you like to see in the Lift Hardly Vee Z five strong man? Yes.
Starting point is 00:22:37 can I can I pick one yeah you yeah you pick something I want you guys to do the one where all right just picture this okay so we're at the Ramcota we put up
Starting point is 00:22:48 walls that are about three feet high and we fill the whole floor with water and we have sandbags that you carry through the water that we set up like the old world strongest man well we just moved that particular event to the pool
Starting point is 00:23:00 or we just run the AC a lot and just don't put it'll just drip run down the garbage cans It'll be moist. It won't necessarily be in a pool, but it won't be dry either. It'll just be like marginally slippery. Yeah, Keith's question, comment. We could just do it in the bathroom floor of the ramp coated.
Starting point is 00:23:22 There you go. It's fairly wet, generally pretty wet in there. Okay, so you got my suggestion, Tanner. What genius idea you got over there? I suppose this is a boring suggestion, but it's actually what I probably feel the most adamant about is that, uh, The Krispy Boy drink spotter event is what I want to see at the Lift Hardly of Easy Strongman because I feel like that is just like that's a staple event of the Lift Hardly of Easy
Starting point is 00:23:49 is loading into the drink spotter. So I would be sad to see that not as a part of it probably just because it looks so cool. Sure. You can confirm that that will be back next year. You are confirming that now. I will confirm that. Yep. I've got some other suspicions and stuff, you know, what you and Jake could or couldn't,
Starting point is 00:24:13 what you and Jake could or couldn't be cooking up over there. Usually, Jake has to decide based on what you'll tell them that you're not, that you're not going to be doing. That you're like, no, we're not doing that. If I have to build anything, it's definitely a no. I did mention that it may be a good opportunity this year to, like, not really have to build very much. like that to do it without having to do that.
Starting point is 00:24:39 That would be appreciated. Yes. Okay. Excellent call. Thanks. All right. Bye. It's kind of ladies hour on here.
Starting point is 00:24:53 I was going to say, or like really hitting our quota here. Didn't know there's that many women that listen to the mass dynamics podcast, did you? I had no idea. Oh, as long as we're on a roll. Hello. Big Hannah, is that you? It sure is. Hello, friends.
Starting point is 00:25:16 This is Ladies Hour on the Massanauts podcast. Number one women's podcast in South Dakota. What number does this get you to on the checkmark? This is 12, baby. Number 70. I know. It's a much less exciting number, but that's okay. I'll take it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:39 You're still in the first run of. cups ever made just barely. That's true. We're a two cup household now, too. Yeah, two cup household. Probably not the first. The Sezenies got to be a two cup household, I would bet, right? Tommy, what do you think?
Starting point is 00:25:57 I was just listening along live? They'll probably follow up with that. Just will probably answer. Yeah. Big Hannah, did you have a question for us? I did. since you guys are such big, super famous influencers, you guys have to give your opinions on every pop culture thing that happens.
Starting point is 00:26:16 What is the Massonomics official stance on the creepy Mario Lopez hot dog AI video? I don't actually know the video. I don't sure if I know that one either. So will you explain it to us? Explain it to us like we're third graders. Okay, perfect. So he is apparently out of Dodgers game. Oh, oh.
Starting point is 00:26:36 I know what you're talking about. I thought you were talking about someone. made one in the discord. Ah, yes, I do know what you're talking about. Okay, explain to Tanner, though. Go ahead. Yeah, yeah. I can't believe I don't know about this. I mean, so this is just, so this is a Mario Lopez thing that doesn't have to do with massonomics or, because for those listening, there's a long running joke about like me and Mario Lopez. I'm as straight as they come, but Mario Lopez is Mario Lopez. This doesn't have to do with that. Technically no. This might shatter your world, but not massonomics. Right, right, right. So he's at a Dodgers game with his,
Starting point is 00:27:08 niece and for whatever reason he decides to AI her double fisting hot dogs into her mouth and it was there was just like mustard and relish like squirting all and I don't even remember what she said but then he's just like ah yeah baseball and then everyone online was like Mario Lopez what in the world was that and then he just deleted it and kept posting like something after The videos, it's even weirder than she's making it sound. So Mario Lopez made the AI version of the video? I mean, he posted it. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:27:48 Whether he made it or not, it's hard to say. Right. I just don't know if I like all this line of possibly besmirching Mario Lopez's name. I don't know if I like where this is headed that it may paint a bad picture on Mario Lopez. I'm going to, you know what? I'm going to give Mario Lopez the benefit of the. out and say it was all well-intentioned. He probably got hacked, I bet.
Starting point is 00:28:13 That's what it was. Yes, that's what I believe, yes. He did at least delete it, so that is slightly redeemable. Yeah. Well, it's like they say, Mario Lopez is still Mario Lopez. No matter how many weird hot dog AI means he makes about his family members. All right, excellent question. And congrats on the cup.
Starting point is 00:28:37 Thank you much. I will see you in December. Perfect. See you. Bye. How much would you give me if I could keep the ladies hour going here? It'd be impressive if that's actually how it goes.
Starting point is 00:28:57 I do not think we can continue that trend. Reached the end. Oh, wait. There was one more. Hello. Oh, who am I calling here? Oh, we were just trying to keep lady hours going. it's big Andrews.
Starting point is 00:29:18 Oh, that's great. My wife's sitting here and I said, you have to answer it. Yeah. That is great. Got us good. Got me there. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:31 I was like, what? Who did I call? He had to roll with it. Yeah. I am actually part of this, mathematics now. This is true. I did pound her into being a supporting member.
Starting point is 00:29:42 Oh, well, also, double, she just got her. yourself a checkmark then too double check mark yeah you're smart just two birds one stone check mark style hall of fame check mark style absolutely got to do it big ander did you have uh was is this number 12 for you also this also is number 12 yeah number 12 that's one of the ladies i did get it yes yes okay uh did you have a question for us andrew i do so i i struggle with my knees a lot and i'm curious how knee-hab is going.
Starting point is 00:30:16 What is the number one exercise in your opinion that you've been doing that it seems to be helping knee-hab. The knee-eye
Starting point is 00:30:28 rear. Yes, great question. Overall, mine is not going excellent, but I won't belabor that point right now. We'll put that in a box and save that for another time. What I think works
Starting point is 00:30:42 well, it probably all depends on what you're experiencing with your knee. But just from anecdotal personal experience, what I like is doing single leg things, especially earlier on in like a recovery process because I can do pretty heavy like barbell back squat or barbell deadlift and then realize my one leg is still like way behind.
Starting point is 00:31:14 and like it can almost trick myself and your body can compensate in a lot of ways so where you can still move a lot of weight, which I'm not against, I like to do that also, but I don't like to neglect the single leg exercises, particularly early on in the recovery process. Even most specifically, I like single leg jumping and landing. You know, so there's a bunch of different variations of that. Even something as simple as skipping, there's different variations of skipping you can do.
Starting point is 00:31:46 Single leg jumping and landing will really highlight the discrepancy if one... I'm just speaking really, really specific to my own knee rehab stuff here, but at least for like ACL rehab, that's where I find a lot of value. I don't know if that will apply to you at all whatsoever in your situation. So it probably won't, but that's at least what I've got. Hey, every bit helps. Okay. Yeah, you just take from that what...
Starting point is 00:32:14 but what's helpful and you can throw the rest away. Absolutely. I will see you fellows in December. Okay. It's really is going to be a December to remember, isn't it? Absolutely. Do you want your cup then or do you want it to mail it to you early? I'll just come get it from you then.
Starting point is 00:32:33 Perfect. That's, I'm going to, for everyone that's so far I've called and we had this conversation about them getting their cup, I, unless you tell me to mail it to you, I'm going to bring it to you the next time we see you. But the cup does not have to be in person like the jacket does.
Starting point is 00:32:52 So if you tell me you want it mailed, I will mail it to you. All right. Thanks, thank you, big Andrew. You guys stay safe up there. All right, you stay safe over there. Well, does that technically keep the lady streak alive? I think it has, yes. That is quite the streak.
Starting point is 00:33:14 That wasn't even really, wasn't even really planned. Well, well. Big Shelby, is that you? It is me. What's up, guys? It's Ladies' Night on the Massanomics podcast year. I think now the fifth or so woman that's answered the phone that we've called for the call-out episode. So we're-
Starting point is 00:33:43 What? No way. Yeah, you're keeping the streak alive. Oh, well, good. We got to have the chocolate chips be represented. Yes. Big Shelby of Barefoot Shoes, fame, who we just saw at Lift Hardly, Easy, and Home GymCon. and you'd been asking some more questions about the Hall of Fame checklist.
Starting point is 00:34:05 And well, do you have any idea what you're at now with this? Because you just got another checkmark. Yeah, you know, I think if we get through the backlog, there's plenty of things we're missing. But I think I'd be at like eight or nine. Okay. So you're chipping away at it. Yeah, chipping away.
Starting point is 00:34:24 Okay. We'll see. We'll see. Chocolate chip. Chocolate chipping away. Did you have a question for us? I did. You know, we talked about drinking games and stuff like that. I think at the dinner, when we got old-fashioned.
Starting point is 00:34:40 That was good. And so I was, well, first of all, Andrew has never even heard of beer darts. So I assume, you know, most, you know, most people maybe haven't. But I was wondering what your Mount Rushmore of drinking games would be. Hmm. Ha, this is a good question. I like this. I think beer pong probably has to go on Mount Rushmore to me. I think beer pong is a solid choice.
Starting point is 00:35:06 I think beer pong goes up there. I personally am a big fan of the bowl game, as we were describing it. It's a crowd pleaser for me. Quickly describe the bowl game because people are going to want to know more. So the bowl game is you get a group of people, however anywhere between, you know, three to ten people-ish. You have a bowl in the middle. Everyone pours a little bit of their drink in the bowl. Everyone puts their fingers on the bowl.
Starting point is 00:35:32 And when it's your turn, you count down from three. And you will say the number of how many people you think will have their finger remaining on the bowl. You can take your finger off around. So I'll go three, two, one, five. And as soon as I say five, everyone has the option to remove or keep their finger. And if the number is correct, I'm out and I watch the game take place when it gets down to the very end, whoever is the last person on has to drink the bowl. And it is a crowd pleaser.
Starting point is 00:36:00 Fun game when you get down to the very end, it is very nerve-wracking because you desperately don't want to drink the disgusting bowl that is filled with shit and everyone's had their hand on it for the last five minutes. That's like the most, it's not someone like Kings Cup, but that is just like the most random and ridiculous game. I can only imagine. You know, so did we say beer pong for the first one?
Starting point is 00:36:31 You said beer pong, yep. And that absolutely belongs. I'm kind of wondering about flippy cup or tippy cup or whatever people call. Yeah, tip of damn good too. Yeah, that's pretty, there's a lot of drinking involved in that too. You get a ton of people involved. You can make a huge mess.
Starting point is 00:36:44 Enormous mess. Make just things smell terrible. I think that should be on there. Yeah, yeah. I like that a lot. That's good. Have you guys ever done the slip-in tip? Is that when people set up the slide?
Starting point is 00:36:55 I've actually never done that. That's a good idea. I've never done that one. You know, one other, I just want to, since we talked about it that night, I want a note on beer pong. Beer pong is played with beer in the cups. All of the cups have beer in them and not water. And you have to drink.
Starting point is 00:37:13 Because when you put water in it and then you, you know, if you have to drink, you drink out of the beverage in your hand, nobody's drinking near as much. as when you have to drink the cup that's like one third full of beer. I feel like when that change is made, it really drastically reduce the amount of drinking that goes on in beer pong and turned it into more, well, now you're just playing a game of skill that barely involves drinking.
Starting point is 00:37:40 Because I think that's important in element. Like there needs to be some excessive drinking going on if it's going to be a really good drinking game. Like the bowl? You don't want to drink that frigging bowl. You can't get around it. Everyone's watching you do it. Like a really good drinking game, there's some steak,
Starting point is 00:37:55 stakes involved with how much you might have to drink. Yeah. Well, and that's, I think, why beer pong probably wouldn't make my, it probably still would make my list, but it wouldn't be like my first choice, because that would have changed by the time I got to college, is we played with water. So then it was like,
Starting point is 00:38:14 it was like a game that you played, but there wasn't a game of like massive consequences. Right. Massive consequences is the key word there. Right. Okay, so we're missing one, right? We're missing one here. Right?
Starting point is 00:38:28 Do we say three? Yeah, we need one more. Ball game and Tippy Cup. Hmm, boy. I mean, there's a lot of card games, but to me, card games, it's kind of almost a different thing.
Starting point is 00:38:42 So I don't know. What about Edward Forty hands? That is a classic. We didn't do Edward Fordham very much. We didn't really either. But it's, It's, I like the, I really like the concept, uh, of other people doing it, but Edward Forty Hans is not something you wanted to really play.
Starting point is 00:38:57 Like nobody really wanted to play it ever. Uh, I liked, uh, I don't know, we call it like power hour where you take like a shot of beer every minute for, for an hour. I don't, yeah, something like that. Yeah. There's some pregame. That's just literally drinking, Steve drinking, like that's not even a game. It's just, I don't know. It's just, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:39:17 Yeah. You know, you have like quarters, things like that. Quarters for sure. What about can we just put wizard sticks on? I was, you know, I was telling how wizard staffs was a big fan of. It's like the ultimate outdoor drinking game. And for the people that don't know is you have, you drink preferably cans of beer. And every time you drink a can, you tape the next can to the empty one to the top of it.
Starting point is 00:39:47 and by the time the staff is taller than you, you're officially a wizard at that point. So you need a lot of room to do it because the staffs do get surprisingly long. It does make cleanup great, though. Like when you're done for the number of beers consumed, you just pick up a few staffs and the whole party's done. Like, it's just easy.
Starting point is 00:40:09 Oh, we did mention. I never thought about that. That's great. How easy the cleanup would be. Yeah, it's like hundreds of beer cans and it's a few staffs. you know, no big deal. We did say Hammerslogging that night we were talking. That's a pretty good one too.
Starting point is 00:40:22 What's the drinking, though, really? I mean, yeah, beer darts is pretty good too. Okay, let's do beer darts as the fourth one. Beer darts is good. What about that one where you put like the beer up on the stick and you like throw a frisbee out of? Like fris beer or whatever people call it. Oh, fris beer? We call it beersby.
Starting point is 00:40:41 Beersby, there you go. Maybe I'm making it up. Maybe I got it wrong. I like beer. I like beer darts better than that, though. It depends on how heavily you want to drink. Beer darts, you can get forced into drinking. Is shotgunting beers a beer drinking game?
Starting point is 00:40:58 Or bonging beers? Bonging beers. Yeah, does that, is that a game? Beer bongs. I was like the champion of that game. What about paint sticks? Do you remember paint sticks at all? Yeah, yeah, paint sticks.
Starting point is 00:41:08 You know, sometimes you just need devices to assist in the consumption of mass amounts of to force, force beer down your throat to, fastest humanly possible. You need gravity and other simple machines. I like this. We got beer pong, tippy cup, the bowl game, and beer darts.
Starting point is 00:41:28 That's a good lineup right there. I mean, that's like a fun little Saturday right there. Yeah. Shelby, excellent question. Thank you. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:41:38 Yeah, excellent answers. All right. Thank you. Well, catch you on the flippityflop. Sounds good. See you guys later.
Starting point is 00:41:47 Ah, that was a good question. Yeah, really brings back some good times, doesn't it? Yeah, when we used to be a proper country. Moving on down the list. Boys. Big Robo, is that you? Yeah, how's it going? How are we?
Starting point is 00:42:14 Pretty good. Long time, no, C. Oh, yeah. It feels like just yesterday. It's been like a week. I do have a question, actually, before. Is this, like, a derogatory? to be on season two. I was never on
Starting point is 00:42:30 season one. I feel like I'm going to get chirped for this. No. No, we don't gate keep on much with that stuff. It's usually the community. We don't. Some other people might have some words for you. The rule of thumb is whatever, whenever you got in on whatever, whoever was before you is going to make up a line in the sand that yours is less meaningful than them.
Starting point is 00:42:55 Always always on the wrong side. You basically can't win. because rarely is someone really the first to anything. So unless you're the very first anything, someone's going to come up with a line that you didn't cross in time. So you're kind of screwed no matter what. But the beauty of it, there's going to be people getting in after you that you get to ridicule for the rest of your life then.
Starting point is 00:43:18 I'm ready. I'm ready. Any idea what number this is for you on the Hall of Fame? This is nine. So I'm creeping up. I got to get to a lift hard, live easy, and I got to get to Crew Falls. And then if I compete, I'm right there. Yeah, lift hard, live easy would actually get you there because you'd be competing, attending, and lifting at the gym. So you did there?
Starting point is 00:43:41 I forgot about the gym one, too. So we'll see you in 2027 for your... Yeah, I'm knocking on the door. I'm knocking on the door. So did you have a question for us besides the season two? I do. I have a silly one, and I got a goose one, too. Okay.
Starting point is 00:43:54 My serious one is if Tommy kind of didn't move out of Aberdeen, do you guys think you still would have kind of taken that home gym route as hard as you have? And I want you to ponder the silly one too because I think there is a right answer. It is what is the four-way neck machine of the lower body? And I do think there was a right answer for that. Okay. I like that. The first question is really interesting.
Starting point is 00:44:22 I've hard to say. I personally have thought about this actually quite a bit. I don't think it would have happened because if I didn't need to start a home gym, if I didn't start buying equipment, it was just like, why would that have changed? You know, like it came out of necessity.
Starting point is 00:44:40 Even after I moved, we didn't talk about gym equipment at all until I actually started my home gym. So I have, like maybe would have gotten in on it a little more, but I have a really hard time believing it would have taken the turn it did. had I not moved, which is odd to think about now. Yeah, I'd say that's correct. And my Jim Radar probably would have never become what it is now, you know.
Starting point is 00:45:05 Wouldn't want to live in that world. Yeah, I'm with you. I'm with you. Butterfly effect. This change is so drastic, Jim Radar doesn't exist. We'd all be screwed. The dark ages. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:19 And the four-way neck machine of the lower body. my initial thought I'm not landing on this but my first train of thought is it's the adduct or abductor machine
Starting point is 00:45:37 I don't know if you're going to say like the good girl good girl bad girl like one that does both or maybe it's like a tibia tibia uh tibia machine like it's really only serves
Starting point is 00:45:53 what like I want like a tibia and calf-raised combo. What about some type of like, and then I'm a rotary torso type device, or is that not lower body enough? That might, that's just like center body. It's the four-be neck of the center body. What do you,
Starting point is 00:46:11 what do you got? What's your answer? Well, so mine was inspired by home gymcon and the dialed motion thing and how that could be a total hip, and I didn't see anyone use it as a four-way neck. So my answer is the total hip, the old school total hip yeah yeah yeah i think that's yeah i actually i could see that i like and i think the i think the i think the down motion guys need to start pitching that as a four-way neck attachment the four-way neck of the lower body yes it sells itself what are they thinking you no longer have to have
Starting point is 00:46:43 a dedicated four-way neck selectorized machine in every home gym big of the footprint you can see yeah i like that answer total hip but i think that might be the best answer Yeah, you can tell he's been thinking about this. Yeah, yeah. All day. All day, boys. All right. Robo, well done.
Starting point is 00:47:02 Thanks for the question. Thanks, Robo. I appreciate giving a call with everything that's going on. I know you guys are busy. Stay safe over there. Likewise. Good questions. Okay.
Starting point is 00:47:26 Pause for dramatic effect. Are we spooling up another one here? Yeah. Hello? Big Katie. Is that you? Oh, it certainly is. Welcome.
Starting point is 00:47:40 Has your voice been on the Masanomics podcast before? It has not. Oh, well, it has now. Oh, it's up big Tuesday night. You might be one of the few people to come on the show that it sounds more Midwest than I do. Maybe. It is Ladies' Night on the podcast, Big Katie, did you have a question for us at all? I did.
Starting point is 00:48:09 There's been a lot of talk. about seated exercise recently, but I was wondering if you could give me your Mount Rushmore of lying down exercise. Oh, Mount Rushmore of lying exercises. Got to be the bench press is on the Mount Rushmore, obviously, bench press. I'm going to go lying leg curl.
Starting point is 00:48:27 That's awesome. I agree with you 100% on that one. So there's two answers. What else? This is where things get a little trickier. What about the sit-up? Does that count? because at one point in time you actually sit up.
Starting point is 00:48:42 I think you can use your druthers to determine what. You know, you sort of are horrid. I feel like if you're just horizontal at some point, you're okay. Yeah. I would consider the sit-up. You know what? Maybe this is cheating too. I want to say the leg press.
Starting point is 00:48:57 You know, some of them you can lie a little bit. I don't know if I'm allowing that. That might be stretching a little too far there. You think that's seated? That's, it's not lying, we'll say. Unless it's one of those lying leg press things, you know, where it's like completely horizontal.
Starting point is 00:49:14 Actually, yes, I want to put that on there. Okay, the horizontal leg press. The vertical leg press. Yeah, like the, uh, that one. I will allow that one. I like that exercise. That's okay. That completely vertical leg press.
Starting point is 00:49:28 And then we would need one more. Leg curl bench press. The vertical leg press. Wait, are you saying the vertical one where you're like or you're like at a 90 degrees or like you're laying down and the the thing just as goes the the weights literally just go vertical okay i don't know if you're talking because there are some leg presses where you kind of like lay down and oh you know that's what i was thinking of at first oh yeah like um almost like a pt setting kind of kind yeah um sabotage sean yes okay okay i didn't know if i was just
Starting point is 00:49:59 envisioning that or if that actually was there yes yeah uh that's not a bad one why don't we miss But then we need one more where you lay down. Yeah. Keith posted those actual vertical leg presses. Well, oh, I know. What do you got? Legosaurus. There you go.
Starting point is 00:50:23 Legosaurus. It's great. The hammer strength eight squat. Obviously on the Mount Rushmore. So Big Katie, excellent question. What any, what number, checkmark is that for you? You're getting up there. It is lucky number 13.
Starting point is 00:50:41 Okay. I've installed at 12 for a year. Not anymore. She's got momentum. All right. Thanks, Katie. Thanks, Katie. Thank you. We've had a few Mount Rushmore questions, haven't we? Everyone's kind of stereotyping us as South Dakota guys, aren't they? What the hell? Our state is not our culture.
Starting point is 00:51:06 Or is it? Our state is not your... What's actually that? Me and my family grew up as not our culture. Or is it? Or is that what that means? I'm just going down the list.
Starting point is 00:51:39 That's too many rings. You get your shot. What could have been? What is it that Eminem said? You only get one shot. Yep. Is that what he said? Well, he said a lot of things.
Starting point is 00:51:54 Says it so fast. I could never keep it. What was the one song? Oh, that Toby had never heard of until I collapse. I don't believe that. That's not true. Hello? Ah, you're live on the Massonomics podcast.
Starting point is 00:52:13 Tommy, do you have any idea who this is? I think I might know. I think I have some guesses. It's none other than flying Ryan. It's me. Did you have a question for us tonight, Ryan? Oh, yeah. I actually do.
Starting point is 00:52:34 Well, you're in the right place. Okay, if you were going to make, or if not even you, if somebody were to make a powerlifting movie, you know, could that work? And what would it be like? Would it be like, you know, something serious, like the fighter, you know, like that. So you're saying something scripted here, not a documentary?
Starting point is 00:52:57 Is that what we're getting at? No, not a documentary. It's a script with actors, you know. Not a docu-dress. Actors, not a docu-drama either. Or it could be. Multi-genre. Or something more like, you know, this is spinal tap or something like that.
Starting point is 00:53:15 Right. Could be. Yeah. You know. And would it actually be good? First of all, no to making the movie in general. I think it'd have to be. Yeah. That was to get that on. Just to get that. That is the actual right answer.
Starting point is 00:53:36 But if someone had to make it and they like this has to be entertaining, I think they'd have to take like a, yeah, kind of like a this is spinal tap angle on it, wouldn't they? Or it's that or I would like to think it's. like back when we used to be a proper country in comedies movies for comedy it's like will feral comes back and it's almost like a shot for shot remake of stepbrothers only it's just like those two guys powerlifting together kind of that sort of thing like it's just like will feral comes back he's like the boris chico of something he's an old powerlifting coach and he's trying
Starting point is 00:54:15 to assemble a team to break records yeah it's almost like dodgeball meets stepbrothers yeah he's But then he's also like in charge of your drug regimen, but he doesn't really know what he's doing either. Ben Stiller could be in the movie. He could kind of play like, like Lars could all, Lars and Ben Stiller could come back. You know, it could be heavyweights. Actually, it's like heavy weights grew up and now they're power lifters.
Starting point is 00:54:39 And it's power lifting. It's powerlifting camp instead of fat camp. There might be something here actually. Yeah. Yeah. A reimagining. People could have deli meat strapped to their body still. Uh-huh.
Starting point is 00:54:50 Mm-hmm. Chip mungs down low And I said that the other day And Lexi's like, what are you talking about? I was like, anyways, You wouldn't get it. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:55:02 Yeah. So. All right, Ryan, excellent call. Thank you. Thank you. We'll catch you on the flip it if you in a few days.
Starting point is 00:55:10 Oh, of course. Yep. All right. Brown County Fair. Yep. It was your brother the whole time. Surprise me with that one.
Starting point is 00:55:22 Yep. He submitted. Uh, Massonomics gym members not excluded from the call-in show. I like that movie idea, though. Hello, you are on the Massonomics podcast. Who are we chatting with? This is, uh, one of the big mats, La Flamablanca. Ah, long time no see, Big Matt.
Starting point is 00:55:52 Yeah, it's been like a week or so. It's been a while. Let's just put it that way. Welcome to the podcast. Did you have a question for us here tonight? Oh, yeah, you know, I'm going to rearrange it. a bit to keep it on theme. And it's going to be a two-parter.
Starting point is 00:56:09 So number one, what is your Mount Rushmore of Massonomics merch? And part two, when are we going to see Metalnomics come back? I would say never say never on Metalomics, right? Yeah, that's like I thought you would say that. So I could see that one making a comeback at any time, you know? Yeah, that's not too, that's not stashed away too deep. Yeah, that's not too deep into the vault. No, no, people always ask for that one.
Starting point is 00:56:36 So it makes sense to bring that back at some point here. But the first one. Perfect. The Mount Rushmore of Massonomics merch. It's the Lyft shirt, of course. I mean, that is kind of where it all started. I feel like it's the, I would put the lifting department shirt on the Mount Rushmore. I kind of feel like the gym skull belongs on there, too.
Starting point is 00:56:59 The gym skull, for sure. So then we're at three. Those are three bangers. I mean, the silly goose kind of goes up there too. People love that thing. But I'm just wondering if there's an old old school, oh, what about the OGT
Starting point is 00:57:12 or the varsity tea or the, you know, something like that? Yeah, those are really good too. Or the how to get strong, how to stay strong, how to use your strength tea. Or the all go no show. I mean, if it's just merchandise, I guess it's lift shorts. Well, actually that is a good point.
Starting point is 00:57:34 If it's just merchandise, it's probably got to be lift shorts on there, too. Probably, yeah. Lift shirt and lift shorts might both make their way on there almost. Yeah, I think the shorts have to be on there. Yeah. Yeah. There it is. That's our story.
Starting point is 00:57:49 Got it. Got it. We're picking to it. Big Matt. All right. Perfect. Thank you for the call. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:57:55 Yeah, thank you. Tanner, I just totally forgot to clear my card before we started. I just right now. I'm going to grab a fresh one because we're only an hour in. That's right. While you do that, I'm going to talk about barefoot shoes. We actually talked to Shelby from Barefoot here just a few minutes ago, but you too can be walking like you're walking on pillows. Like when Tommy and I took off our concrete cinder block shoes that we've been wearing all day at home JimCon stomping around. Those things that weigh 10 pounds a piece, we put on regular old barefoot shoes, what we normally wear.
Starting point is 00:58:33 It literally, we both remarked, it felt like we were walking on a cloud as we walked through that galt hallway in Louisville. So if you want to feel like you're walking on a cloud all the time, head over to barefoot. Store. And luckily for you, it's their summer sale currently where if you buy any pair of shoes, you get a second pair for 50% off. Also, discount code Masonomics saves you 10% on every order. Thank you, Barefoot. I'm back. I'm back.
Starting point is 00:59:04 What's your storage situation over there? Good for now, I think. Okay. Oh, were we supposed to be recording this episode? Wait, I thought this is just for fun. This isn't just you and I just calling all of our friends. Not that it's not that. Oh, hello.
Starting point is 00:59:34 Big Sterling, is that you? Oh, yes, it is. What's happening, buddy? Oh, not much. I'm just sitting here using them bush beans. Roll that beautiful bean. footage. Big Sterling, you're on a bit of a back catalog journey right now, aren't you? Oh, man. Yeah. I've, yeah, it's been a fun journey, actually. How many episodes a day are you
Starting point is 00:59:55 knocking out on average? Honestly, I'm trying to be, you know, I'm not trying to, like, be too crazy. So I'm trying to, like, honestly, I've toned it down to about five or six, but I was on about eight to ten. And I've backed down. I was, I think I'm at like one and a quarter. So, so you, uh, at least. for a stretch of time there you like most of your waking hours of the day you were listening to Tommy and I talk yes I still am honestly my entire work shift is from nine to two is listening to you guys yeah you know what I can't get tired of you guys right yeah yeah no something that's how right we can always get we always enjoy some and Tommy yeah uh well excellent
Starting point is 01:00:43 good job on your journey. You just got another check mark here with your call. Did you have a question for us here tonight? Oh, of course I did. So my question was, so you guys did the ailmonia and then you guys have been horse doll mats. Do you guys have any other like collab with obsidian or even anybody else possibly in the works or do you guys like keep the hush, hush, obviously? Well, the real answer is we don't have anything in the works as of right now. but I wouldn't say that would mean that we're not going to do it.
Starting point is 01:01:17 We have done several. We did ailmonia twice. We did Dakota Breeze once. And we did, Oh, the field of burn. Yeah, that one. Yeah, we forgot the field of burn one. And then the horse doll mat one most recently.
Starting point is 01:01:34 Really liked the horse stall mat one. That was kind of a bang. Yeah, that one's great. That one also packed a severe wallop. Oh, dude, I think I have a nice little scrape on my shins from taking a whiff off that and the bar bit me. Yeah, yes. So no plans of yet, but never say never. Of course, you can't ever say never say never, right?
Starting point is 01:01:58 Literally, I say it all the time. Never say never. I say it like every day. With everything going on, right? Yeah, I don't know. Big Sterling, thanks for the call. I appreciate you guys. Have a good one.
Starting point is 01:02:10 All right. Stay safe. I mean, should we just keep banging them out here? Might as well. I don't know why we'd stop now. We've gone too far. We're not going to get to them all, though. I can tell.
Starting point is 01:02:26 Just tell by the list. Well, well, well. Oh, hello. You're on the Mastonomics podcast. Who do we have the pleasure of chatting with this evening? Oh, well, this is Big Mike E. Oh, Big Mike E. I could, you're, uh, sometimes people's Instagram handles.
Starting point is 01:02:46 I don't actually know who it is when I put it, when I put them on this list. So big Mike, how's it going? Oh, you know, just building a water rocket in my garage right now. So join the club. Is that what the kids are calling it these days? Well, you know, it's for Cubscats, so I got to keep a kid friendly. So it literally is what the kids are calling it these days.
Starting point is 01:03:13 It's not an end of the window. It's just what it is. Okay. Did you have a question for us tonight? Yeah, so knowing or having gone through across the country doing gym tours, meeting different people, experiencing the different regional cultures, plus having the crew community, if you guys had to pick up and move your families today, most other things being unchanged, where in the country do you think you could settle and kind of keep trucking along? outside of the Midwest. I'll say that. Okay.
Starting point is 01:03:50 I'm going to say it is surprising. I mean, place in the Midwest just feel exactly like here, you know. Okay, outside of the Midwest. Well, outside of the Midwest, because it is so vast, we haven't done a ton of tours.
Starting point is 01:04:02 We've done Southern California. We've done the New England area. Is that it for? Carolinas. Oh, the Carolinas, too. That's right. Do we do anything else outside the Midwest, too?
Starting point is 01:04:14 I miss not much yet I think the majority of the rest of them are what you would consider Midwest conventionally Yes oh Nashville That's not Midwest I guess You're right, God It's hard to keep track of all the places we've been Yeah
Starting point is 01:04:28 All the places you'll go by Dr. Seuss So all things being the same It says all things being the same As in You know, just assume life is still happening I mean I always I do love the weather and the vibes of Southern California,
Starting point is 01:04:45 but it is insanely expensive. So all things being the same, I don't know if that's where I'd want to live. You know what actually really surprised me a lot? I really did like that, kind of that once we got a little closer to Boston. You know, remember we're driving through some of those areas. Like, whoa, this is so cool.
Starting point is 01:05:04 It's like all the trees here and there's these hills and everything's so old and historical. I mean, that area was really cool. I don't know. maybe that's what I'd pick for Andrew to go outside the Midwest. Still get, seasons there, you know? The other places don't really have seasons.
Starting point is 01:05:20 I'm kind of a seasons guy a little bit. I'm a season. That's kind of what I was thinking also. My answer was going to be similar. I was going to say some of that upstate New York area that we went through. Yeah. I could make a case for some areas in there, you know, I mean,
Starting point is 01:05:36 making a lot of other assumptions that can work and stuff like that. But I just thought that some of that area was particularly cool. So that would be my answer. Okay. Yeah. That's a good answer. I, uh, yeah, that's, I mean, I'm partial. Like I lived in the Midwest for, for a while and then, you know, I'm from the east coast, from the northeast.
Starting point is 01:05:56 So, um, there's, there's a lot of similarities there. Yep. Okay. And, you know, cost, you know, with regards to cost, it's, you know, the cost of living is a bit higher, but it's not, uh, you know, it's not Southern California expensive. Right. Right. Also, the Southern California traffic in certain areas is not something I could actually do routinely.
Starting point is 01:06:19 Like, I couldn't plan. Like, that couldn't be a part of my regular life. Like, that wouldn't work for me, actually. What do you think about, what do you think about, like, the more narrow roads in the older part of the country? It's kind of crazy because it's very different than here where you have unlimited space. Yeah, like very minimal shoulders. That was the thing. It's like, you're either on the road or you're just.
Starting point is 01:06:44 off it, you know, like, yeah, here there's a shoulder and then a little more room. Yeah, definitely different out there. All right, Mike. Excellent question. Awesome. Thanks, guys. Thank you. Thanks.
Starting point is 01:06:57 We'll see you later. Another good question. Yeah. Just, we're actually on a real, outside of some troubles in the beginning. We are on a heater right now. Knock on wood, actually, because. But even if nobody else. picked up, I'd be like, no, we did the thing.
Starting point is 01:07:24 Gentlemen. Oh, who do we have the pleasure of chatting with tonight on the Massonomics podcast? Oh, it's a big clap. Big clap. How's it going? It's great from the bottom of the barrel now. I guess they'll let anyone on the show these days. That's what they say.
Starting point is 01:07:39 Did we not just chat with you at home gym con a few days ago? Indeed. Oh, in that case, we're going to hang up. We're sick of you. Well, my voice is on, so I'm good. Did you have a question for us tonight? It is about home gym con since you had your first booth there. What would you say was your best or favorite moment slash experience during home gym con?
Starting point is 01:08:03 Best moment or experience? I selfishly really liked when we won that award. Yeah. Yeah. That is pretty hard to beat. If I had to offer up a second, I would say it was really fun doing the jacket ceremony during the middle of the day. Yeah, you know, everyone getting together and getting to recognize. That's probably the best, actually.
Starting point is 01:08:27 That was a really good one too. But the award is pretty freaking sweet because it was very unexpected. Yeah, those two. I'll go with either of those. I went back and forth a lot. I'm thinking about if it should be a Mount Rushmore or not, but a lot of people already had that today. Yeah, really hot and heavy on the Mount Rushmore questions.
Starting point is 01:08:46 All right. Excellent question, big clap. All right. I appreciate it, guys. Good to chat again. Stay safe. You too. Right.
Starting point is 01:09:03 We're still just everyone's phone works. All the connections have been good. Once we got clarity. This is big Josh. Big Josh. What's happening? Oh, you know, just falling asleep. Not anymore.
Starting point is 01:09:35 You're not. It's party time. You're on the Masconomics podcast all night. Big Josh, last we saw you, you were riding into the sunset from the Lift Hardly Veezy Classic after the Strongman competition. Did you have a question for us tonight? Yeah, I want to know if there are any little,
Starting point is 01:10:00 let's say, rack attachment-sized gizmos that you're thinking of that you would need a prototype. Yeah, because Big Josh, Big Josh made the... My drink spotter XXXXL. Yes. Yes, big Josh famously made the drink spotter XXL. I stare at it every time I go work out. No, it's just...
Starting point is 01:10:20 Where do you have yours at in the gym? Well, it's just on the floor right now. I'm not sure to put it where it's not going to take someone's out. You know, it's got magnets on it. No, I'm aware. I'm aware. Not sure if you've seen how large they are, Tanner, and how big my squat rack is, but, yeah, I haven't figured out the perfect place for it.
Starting point is 01:10:36 I just have mine on one of my 40 wall control panels. You have that. You have that. I don't have that going for me yet. Oh, boy. I'd say I don't have anything yet, but never say never. So, Josh, never say never. We'll hit you up for it when you least expect it.
Starting point is 01:10:58 Yeah, it'll be one of those things we'll just know the moment. That's what I can look forward to. Yeah. Excellent. Good question, Josh. Thank you. All right, thanks. Okay.
Starting point is 01:11:13 Do you think people are still awake? Probably a few. All right. Maybe the West Coasters. Well, this guy's on the East Coast, so we're going to really start to test this theory. Because we're dealing with, yep. Oh, he missed his chance. All right, West Coast, you say?
Starting point is 01:11:52 Probably. We'll throw a West Coast or a bone right here since he's next on the list. Howdy, howdy. Big Pablo, moderately wide. Is that you? It's slightly less. now. Slightly nest less narrow
Starting point is 01:12:13 Pablo. I feel like not enough people know enough about wide Pablo anymore. Yeah, it's kind of, I want to say it's a tragedy. It's a tragedy for my name, though.
Starting point is 01:12:28 Yeah, it is. It is. Because, like, there was a sweet spot there for a couple of years where probably a lot of people that were into Strongman would get that reference. I actually did have that one time. Someone asked me an answer for him. Hang on. I said, Nero Pablo, and they looked at me straight away, so that's hilarious.
Starting point is 01:12:43 I just explained me at all. That was the best one moment ever. It's up there. Married, you know, marriage, both of kids, but it's right there. Yeah. Pablo, did you have a question for us tonight? I did. So bring yourself back to home gym con, the exercise, those sickness de-humans you had,
Starting point is 01:13:02 and pick the booth in the company that you would outfit your entire gym only using that company. Price does matter. Well, the list gets a lot shorter right away because you got to go with someone that makes a wide enough variety of products. To me, there's one easiest answer, and I feel like that's rep fitness.
Starting point is 01:13:33 I don't know. I'm not saying it's with conviction that it's the right answer, but it's an easy answer, I think. Yeah, I agree. That was what came to mind first for me. Because you could say bells of steel, ATX, rogue. To me, it's got to be someone that A makes racks, benches, plates, and bars. As my most important.
Starting point is 01:13:59 The company like that, I don't think it was at home gym car that also makes toilet paper. So if they showed up, there would be the obvious answer. Yes. And because they also make toilet paper. So it really covers your basis then that way. I'm going to say rep fitness, I think, is probably the safest bet to answer that question. I would probably agree. Yeah, I think that's a safe bet.
Starting point is 01:14:21 All right, Pablo, excellent question. Stay up there. All right, stay safe. Thank you. It's really tests how fast I can punch digits. Yeah. How fast I can record 10 digits. East Coaster, what do you think?
Starting point is 01:14:49 If this is another telemarketer, I swear to God. Are you still awake over there on the East Coast? Oh, my God, it's so late over here. You're too old to be up this late on the East Coast. Well, listen, I don't know if you guys know, but I'm quite the master's lifting over here. Well, we've heard. We're doing that doesn't know this is mostly Matt, live on air.
Starting point is 01:15:13 Not your first time on the podcast, I don't think, right? It is not. I checked off that box on the, Hell of Fame long, long time ago. Yeah, way before all these nobs just think they're just getting it checked off right now here in season two, we're 541 episodes in there. You got this checked off hundreds and hundreds of episodes ago. That was Matt scoffing at them.
Starting point is 01:15:41 To be fair, I don't even know my membership number is anymore, so I can't even prove that. Yeah. Matt, did you have a question for us tonight? I sure did. Speaking of the Lift Hard Live Easy, I know it's still relatively new, but I don't know if there's any kind of details you guys might be able to share tonight about
Starting point is 01:15:56 any changes that might be happening or dates or anything like that. Yeah, just curious. Yes. I would say the biggest change is going to be the date. We haven't announced this, have we? If not. Do we announce the dates?
Starting point is 01:16:13 Or do we just announce that there's going to be a change to the dates? We could maybe say the month? Yeah. It's not going to be in July. It's going to be in June. So that is a big change to the lift Hardly of Easy because it's been in July
Starting point is 01:16:30 every year. It is going to be in June for 2027. And we will have more information available to the broader public on that soon. Oh, well, actually, we have it in the Discord. Yeah, it is in the Discord. Never mind. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:16:46 Yeah. It's, uh, I don't know what day is the Saturday, but it's like the 10th and 11th of June and 12th, like in that period, is, are the dates. We have the venue. As far as other major changes to the format and stuff,
Starting point is 01:17:01 I think the answer is no. We actually kind of like a lot of how that went. We want to kind of run that back and maybe just improve a couple minor things. But I think I'm excited about the fact that we won't have as many major changes, actually, is what I'm most excited about, that we can just hone in on what Lyft Hard Leave Easy 4 was
Starting point is 01:17:23 and make 5 an even better version of that, I think. Outside of the date, that date changes big. Yeah, 4 was awesome. You guys knocked out of the park. I can't wait to see what you guys do next year. You've been to all 4, correct? That is correct. So you pretty much 5's a lock.
Starting point is 01:17:41 Is that safe to say? I mean, my wife just automatically says, like, oh, yeah, you get your thing in South Dakota. somewhere. Yeah, she just doesn't question anymore. What's up? I feel like a lot of the people
Starting point is 01:17:51 that have been to all four, I just couldn't imagine it happening without them at the fifth one. Where I'm like, if you weren't here, I'd like, oh, this doesn't seem right. Well,
Starting point is 01:17:59 Lood didn't show up this year and that was, you know, everyone's questioning. What the hell is going on? I want to know the list of people that have made all four. I want the definitive list
Starting point is 01:18:09 of people that have made all four that aren't from the state of South Dakota. I'll put that on it. If only you guys had access to an army, of unpaid interns, you might be able to get that done. Someone out there could wrangle that information. There's not many.
Starting point is 01:18:24 There's not many. Yeah, what do you think? All right, what's the over under number of people that have been to all four that are not from South Dakota? Is it over under 10? I think it's under 10. I think it's over. I was going to say, really?
Starting point is 01:18:37 Really? Yeah. All four? Not in South Dakota? The easiest limiting factor is looking at who was there for year one because it was the smallest. Actually, yes. That's true, yeah.
Starting point is 01:18:47 Yeah. Yeah, that's the, that's the, someone needs to wrangle up that information and we'll find out what that number rough, at least approximately is. I revised my previous statement. Definitely got to take the end of. Oh, we're going to, I actually like Key's comment. We're going to do that thing that Jake did at home, Jim Con. Yeah, we're in the party where we'll have everyone stand up when we say, all right, all right,
Starting point is 01:19:09 if this is your first year at the lift, if you've been here one year or more, stay standing. And then if you've been here, two years or. Yeah, everyone starts standing and then if it's your first year, and then if you've been here more than one year, damn it, God. You guys know how it's going to go. We don't need to explain. We're wasting our time to clarify this.
Starting point is 01:19:32 We'll work on that. We got a few months to get it. There'll be some sitting and standing stuff and it'll make sense at the time. Matt, thanks for the call. Thanks, Matt. Hey, thanks for having me. You guys know how that thing goes. with the sitting and standing, though, right?
Starting point is 01:19:53 Got another call. Hello, Jim, Jim, Jim. Big Justin, is that you? Yes, it is. It's an honor and a privilege. Yeah, you're on the Masanomics podcast. Is it fair to assume you've never had your voice on the show before? No, I've actually been, like, a supporting member since October of last year.
Starting point is 01:20:27 So, all right. I'm fresh meat, so to say. Fresh, fish, fresh, fish. Did you have a question for us tonight? Yes, I did. If you could have one power lifter and one strong man from any hair of being a member at Massanomics Gym, who would you pick? Tell me, what do you think? That is good one.
Starting point is 01:20:58 I mean, Brian Shaw's a gym member would be pretty cool. Yeah, that would be fun. I would, maybe I'd say John Paul Sigerson. from Iceland just because he's so wild and crazy. Yeah. It's kind of a character. See what he does in the gym. I bet he'd really be a good hype man for lifts.
Starting point is 01:21:18 So I feel like if Brian was in there, you'd be in his way all the time. He'd make you feel like you're in his way. He's like, my training comes first, you guys. Well, to be fair, I think most people at that level would kind of be like that. You know. What about Kaz? Yeah. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:21:36 Definitely wouldn't be in his way ever. Prime Caz, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Okay, that's strong. A power lifter, any era. Ed Cone's an obvious. See, that's what I was going to right away, but it was, I'm just thinking,
Starting point is 01:21:55 is that too obvious? Yeah. Modern area, you just say, it'd be fun if John Hack was around. Actually, yeah. Jim. Yeah. That'd be fun.
Starting point is 01:22:04 I'd say that. I'll say John Hack. I like that, because I feel like he's also not too, you know, knows how to. He'd fit the vibe, I think pretty well.
Starting point is 01:22:12 saying, yeah, I think he'd be a good personal. That's the vibe check. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. How about you? You got any better answer for us?
Starting point is 01:22:20 I was thinking maybe power lifter, Dan Bell. Oh, there you go. Yeah. That's a good answer. He might as well be an honorary member. Tommy, what about Zahir? I mean, it's, it is a vibe. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:22:40 All right, just an excellent question. Stay safe down there. I think you staying safe down there. Hopefully. Paul Anderson. Easy. Paul Anderson for both. Gentlemen.
Starting point is 01:23:07 Big Bam Bam. I noticed in the live chat, it looks like you're still awake. I am still awake and I don't know how to mute the Zoom call. So I'm coming in bad here. Nope. It's working perfect. All right. Perfect.
Starting point is 01:23:19 There is a little bit of a little bit of a reverb version. But no, it actually, it's managed. It's not worse than other people's. You haven't had your voice on the podcast before, have you? I have not. And I'm going to kind of make it quick because I'm coming to you live from this jail cell in Kentucky for a pallet jack theft over here. You're the guy that that guy was so raging pissed about that one. They only told me I get five minutes of a phone call and I'm on a quarter.
Starting point is 01:23:52 You've been probably racking up the check marks. Do you have any idea what you're out on the Hall of Fame list? I just checked. This will get me to 13, I believe. You know, a bit of a speed runner myself. You haven't missed much in the last year. I try not to. I get FOMO pretty bad.
Starting point is 01:24:19 Did you have a question for us here tonight? I did. So in all your travels of all your gym tours, I know you guys always say you have no time for basically living other than shooting videos. When the dust settles, what is like the go to? Like if you guys like want food, not necessarily can have it, but you're like, I wish we could have this one thing because I'm so hungry. We haven't eaten all day. Okay. Well, so part of the problem is we're always on the road. So we got to pick something that one, we know. know what it is and is available. Tanner, I'll tell you what has hit the spot the few times we've had it,
Starting point is 01:25:03 and it's been a consistent, a consistent standout one to me has been Texas Roadhouse. It's not disappointed. It's got to be Texas Roadhouse. I never left Texas Roadhouse hungry. Hungry or disappointed. It's always lived up to the hype. She always left me smiling.
Starting point is 01:25:21 Perfect. Last time we're there, I think I drank a gallon of water, and had 3,500 calories, and neither of those are an exaggeration. Yeah. Yeah, I think Texas Roadhouse is the answer. My other answer is, whenever we can start with a good breakfast,
Starting point is 01:25:38 that I can power through a lot of day if we could at least start with a good breakfast. When we don't get to do that, shit can get challenging when you then go like 10 hours without anything. And even when we say good breakfast, it just means also the whole breakfast. hotel breakfast. Oh, just something, actually.
Starting point is 01:25:57 Just something where I can get full. But we have had just a few times where we've been in a pinch where we've had to leave before hotel breakfast starts. And usually that's really enough that nothing else is open either. So that is where we get in troubles when that happens. Yeah. All right. Big Bam Bam,
Starting point is 01:26:13 excellent question. Oh, did we lose them? Well, it's over anyways. Yeah. I don't know. Bam, bam, if you're listening to this, great question. okay I put in the thing that we're only
Starting point is 01:26:30 to do calls until 1030 so I think we try what do you try one more here more yeah yep and then we're gonna shut it down because otherwise it'd be calling people past what I told them they had to be available for we don't want to be doing that nope that would make a lot of also
Starting point is 01:26:49 I think that was big Matt you're off the list Matt okay uh here's one Yeah, one more. Yeah, let's try one more. We're getting to the witching hour anyway, so I guess we've got to shut it down soon because otherwise I know how it goes.
Starting point is 01:27:15 As soon as that spreads like wildfire. It really start losing. I'm in a hurry. Well, well, well. Big Jace, is that you? That is me. Big Jase of the Lift Hardly of Easy Classic, 2026. That's me.
Starting point is 01:27:35 The one and only. The one and only. What's going on, fellas? What's your, height and powerlifting weight class? 6-3. I was in the 198 pound 90K class. Yep.
Starting point is 01:27:51 Was this your first powerlifting meet or was it not your first? I can't remember. Very first. Very first. Excellent. Well done. Jase, did you have a question for us tonight?
Starting point is 01:28:01 I did. I was just curious with everything you guys have built, Massenomics, you know, all the tours you do, home gym con everything you guys got going on there obviously successful what's the one thing if you had to pick one what's the one thing you guys are most proud of on what you've built so far very hard question yeah well okay i guess i would yeah yeah see what key said is what i was i mean like i think the answer is the community but if you had to say like no like you
Starting point is 01:28:40 What is an actual thing, like a product? Like if you said like an actual thing you built, it'd be hard to not say Jim Radar, but at the same time, Masonomics has done a lot of really, really cool stuff on its own, too. Ah, that is a tricky one. That is a really tricky one.
Starting point is 01:28:59 Yeah. I would also say like a less specific, less tangible thing, it's more like community is where it's just like, I'm proud of the longevity, like the consistency and longevity. of it. And I'm particularly proud of that because it's what most people doing similar things in this space don't do. What they don't do is do it every week forever. Like they, like, whether it's a
Starting point is 01:29:27 podcast or an apparel company or even like a YouTube content creator, what most of the time you see is they all quit doing it. You know, and like, uh, yeah, for sure. So that's kind of probably what I'm proud of is that we haven't quit doing that. I don't know if that's a great answer, but that's kind of one of the things I think about, too. It's probably the community, though, because that's almost impossible to, you know, I'm like, I'm most part of that because I'm like, if you wanted to recreate that, I would say, good luck. You can't.
Starting point is 01:30:01 You can't. Impossible to replicate it, I would say. Right. Right. So that's probably the best answer, though. I think like what you said, Tommy. Yeah, I think so. Right on.
Starting point is 01:30:13 Yeah. Excellent. Great question. Yeah. I think, and you got the honor. That was final question in the night. All right. Great honor to have.
Starting point is 01:30:22 I appreciate the call boys. Excellent. We'll catch you on the flippity flop. Stay safe. All right. Sounds good. I do you guys. All right.
Starting point is 01:30:30 All right. That's our cutoff on calls. We didn't get to a lot of them, but that's all right. We got through quite a few, I think. Also, really good success rate on this call out. It started off a little rocky, but we really redeemed ourselves there. Yeah. So you're telling me there's a chance.
Starting point is 01:30:55 Okay. Call an episode. We're going to have to figure out which one of those that becomes the title topic. Hmm. Yeah, lots of something. Should we kick everyone off the live stream? Oh, my. They're still here?
Starting point is 01:31:09 Yeah. those. You're telling me they've been here this whole time. And then we got a few news items that we probably should have let off the show with, but we just got right into business. So first thing, well, we mentioned the Lyft Hardly Visi Classic date. That's a very important announcement. That's going to be in June this year. June, 10, 11, 12th. Maybe we'll talk more in depth on that one in another episode where it's in the future. Yeah. So we'll put a pin in that for for now. A slightly more timely is the dates are set for crew falls. It's going to be a
Starting point is 01:31:40 December to remember in Sioux Falls, South Dakota again. We're running it back for the fourth? Fourth? Yeah, I think so. Fourth, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:31:53 This is going to be the fourth crew falls. Okay. I don't think there was a grip gauntlet the first year, was there? No, the first year was just, hey, because we didn't really bank on the fact of people coming from very far away.
Starting point is 01:32:06 So it was just, hey, we're going to meet up on a Saturday, go to a gym, and then we're going to go out that night. Right. It was very low key. So this is going to be December 4th and 5th for our fourth ever crew falls December to remember event. The Friday is going to feature a lunch at the Pizza Ranch, the local Pizza Ranch watering hole. It's going to feature a grip gauntlet competition in Tommy's garage.
Starting point is 01:32:32 I have a feeling if we weren't testing the limits of your garage last year, we're absolutely going to do it this year. We're going to see just how moist can. you get it in there with human breath. Say a lot more moist than you might think. Luckily there will be no shortage of shock. There never is a shock shortage there. No, no, there's not. Can we do at the end of it, you know, like when the confetti comes from the rafters only, it's just chalk on everyone and everyone gets completely covered in shock?
Starting point is 01:33:06 We'll have the gatorade bucket, the gatorade cooler full of chalk. Whoever wins gets dumped, chalk, dumped on them covered in chalk. That'll be on Friday. The Friday evening, we have, we're going to remedy brewing on Friday evening. We have a reservation there. Saturday, got to confirm, but we should be lifting at Lose again. And then our Saturday evening reservation, we're still kind of working on that. So that's a little bit up in the air.
Starting point is 01:33:39 Saturday morning we'll eat breakfast at, of course, the original pancake house. And, I mean, it's hard to say that we won't go to the habachi grill directly across the street from the gym when that part's done too. The path is mostly set. How do you improve on perfection? Let's be real here. What we had to change this year is we normally go to remedy on Saturday. They were booked up that day, so we're going there Friday night. So we'll have a decision to make based on where we do end up planning to go Saturday night.
Starting point is 01:34:08 we'll have a decision to make of whether the Hall of Fame ceremony is on Friday or Saturday night this year. It could potentially be Friday because we know we have remedy for Friday and that place works really well for the Hall of Fame activity. So it's possible it becomes there. But more to come on Crew Falls as we get a little closer. And what I would say is there's a sign up form on the Massonomics website. If you go to the Events tab at Massanomics.com, you can find events and the number one event on there is Crew Falls. if you're planning on coming, sign up.
Starting point is 01:34:40 It lets us know head count and you can leave suggestions there and you can let us know if you're going to be receiving your Hall of Fame cup or jacket. There are already six people signed up that as long as they're able to come, they will receive their Hall of Fame jacket at Crew Falls. And there's potentially a couple more that I know are considering signing up that would be getting their jacket. That's a big jacket ceremony. I guess he gives these things to everyone nowadays.
Starting point is 01:35:11 What the hell? I thought this would be a challenge to get these things. We're looking at six new jacket level Hall of Fame members potentially, which is huge, which would be so fun and cool if that's what that's the way up. That would be our biggest jacket class ever. So crew falls, sign up. It's fun. You know, it's not a power lifting meet.
Starting point is 01:35:35 It's not a strong man competition. This one is hanging out with your buddies for a weekend. Lifting and drinking. I mean, you don't have to drink. It's lifting, eating, and drinking if you want to. The other very important update is that we have a drop coming this Tuesday. A lot of times our drops are on Thursdays. We're pushing this one to Tuesday.
Starting point is 01:35:58 It's going to be August 18th. And there are, I'm saying it, there's nine things in this drop. Why is it so damn mini? Well, it's because everything's coming back to us from Home GymCon. So the five new shirts we had at Home GymCon, anything that's left is going on the site. Which means very limited sizing. Like the Silly Goose Teal shirt, I already, just because I remember when we're there, it's sold out of small, medium and large.
Starting point is 01:36:28 Yeah, for sure. There's maybe like eight of those even left. Yep. So that one is going to be really limited quantity. all of them are limited. There's not a ton of any of these shirts. They all sold pretty well there. But the shirts are that silly goose comfort colors teal.
Starting point is 01:36:44 The 8-bit home gym con black tea, which was the home gym con kind of commemorative one. That's on a Bella canvas blank. The icon tea in a really cool green color. I don't have one of those. I don't remember what availability was, but I really hoping that there's a two-X of that one. Every night we get back. the hotel, I'd be like, oh, I forgot to grab it again. It's a very nice shirt.
Starting point is 01:37:10 That's like a going out shirt. I like that one a lot. That's on a comfort colors. Then we have the home gym, well, this shirt. I've got this one. The home gym nerd. Are you wearing a home gym nerd shirt too? Actually, yeah, I am in different color.
Starting point is 01:37:25 But this is in, I don't know what color this is. It's like brick, I think. Brick or adjacent of the home gym nerd comfort colors tea. And then there's the lift. department tea, which is on non-comfort colors for the first time ever. It's on a Bella canvas. So those of you that don't like comfort colors, you got two options out of here. You got the 8-bit home gymcon tea, also the lifting department, black tea with white
Starting point is 01:37:53 print. That's both are on those are on the athletic fit. That's not all. Buckle up for this. We're going to drop, I think as long as it shows up. time. The Lift Hardly Veezy group photo. So we got a limited number of those printed.
Starting point is 01:38:11 So as long as that shows up, that will go that'll be a hot, hot seller though also. Also limited quantities on that. Very limited of that. Restocking horse stall mat coasters first time, long time.
Starting point is 01:38:27 The horse stall mat products are very periodic for us. It's a process for getting those ready each time. So when they come back in stock, most people know you got to jump on them. And along with that goes, of course, the horse stall mat gripper, which always sells out fast every time we restock it. I have a lot of those made.
Starting point is 01:38:48 Like the number of quantity that will go on the side of those just comes down to how many I have made at the time. But as of right now, there's a decent number that I have made already. Last thing, one of our hottest selling items of all time, a restock of the proper country red. What is that, 32 ounce cup? It's like a barrel. A red plastic 32 ounce pizza hut cup,
Starting point is 01:39:14 which sold out an hour's last time, and we did a full restock of that. I know this just sounds like me hyping it up, but because of the limited quantity of the shirts and then because of the things that we're restocking here, everything could, like any and all of this could sell out immediately. basically. Like, this is not a, if you wait on anything here, I don't.
Starting point is 01:39:36 Well, because none of the apparel items are a full stock. It is just left over. So they're all. Like, several of them will be out of certain sizes to begin with. Like, you'll just be out of luck on some of them. And a lot of them already only have one or two of any given size. So, right. Yeah, this more than any release we've ever had is extremely inventory constrained.
Starting point is 01:39:56 Yes. We did get a pretty decent number of coasters, Red Proper Country Cup and Grippers, but those are all fast-selling items. So we're not trying to create like this artificial demand, but there is a demand here, all of those stuff. So do not sleep on this drop.
Starting point is 01:40:19 That was the important news segment. I wonder if we should do us supporting our supporting members. I think so. It would almost be, I mean, is it even allowable to not do that? No. Yeah, it's a simple answer. Roll that beautiful bean footage.
Starting point is 01:40:37 Roll that beautiful bean footage. There it is. Obviously that's... Even better week two. Obviously that's what leads us into supporting our supporting members. Because the anticipation is just so high. For obvious reasons, that's why that would be played prior to supporting our supporting members.
Starting point is 01:40:58 It's a relatively new segment, just the 41st time here in episode two. Episode two, Season two, episode 41 podcast. It's a little bit where we like to give back to those that give to us. The number one, the way that you can support Massonomics. It's through a supporting membership. You can buy our new merch. You can use Jim Radar. Do all of that stuff.
Starting point is 01:41:19 But please, number one, first things first, become a supporting member if you're not already. Everyone matters. It's a numbers game. It's only as cheap as 10 cent per person. But when we get a whole bunch of people to do that, it adds up to a lot of stuff and allows us to do. Some pretty cool things for the Massonomics community, I believe. 10 cents per person per day, you're saying, right?
Starting point is 01:41:42 Yeah, I don't even know what I said, actually, but that's what I meant. Yeah. It adds up to $1 billion annually. This week's members that we want to support our big Willie is down 135 pounds officially, and he's got 15 to go to reach his goal. That's legit. That's progress. Big Sam Bob competed at Tameside Strength Fest.
Starting point is 01:42:06 There was a Western New York crew meetup with Big Keith, big Chris Mark, the man with two first names, big Lucas, big Matt, big Jess. They were all volunteers at Love Like Ben Memorial Strongman event. This week's guest on half-big thoughts, our drunken uncle podcast. The guests this week were big Jim McDonald and Michael Fahey, both past podcast guests of the Massonomics podcast. You love to see it. Yeah. And then also a good company, I just saw a good company barbell out of Sacramento is on my radar.
Starting point is 01:42:47 Yes, they are. Jim got on Jim radar, just another gym on there. Jim's been popping off there, but we'll get to that, I suppose. And this week's guest on our Brady Little Sister podcast, unpaid and underrated, there was a Home JimCon roundup where several of the crew members that went to Home JimCon. told all the dirty, gory details together. So go give that a listen on unpaid and underrated. Thank you to our supporting members. Do we want to do a certified training facility of the week, or are we running kind of long?
Starting point is 01:43:26 We might be running long. We'll save that one for next week, I think, right? Yeah, I think that's okay. I think we have to. Yep. It's just, our hands are tied on this. It's not our choice. It might have sounded like that was our choice there, but it is not our choice.
Starting point is 01:43:43 And so it was. What about, did you tell us about strength co? I told you about the strength co, but I did not tell you about Juggernaut AI. Oh, there it is. And what I wanted to say is that this episode is in part brought to you by them. And Juggernaut AI is the smartest program for you. Since 2009, Juggernaut has been your trusted training resource helping tens of thousands. of athletes reach their goals.
Starting point is 01:44:12 Here is how it works. You download the app and you tell the system all about yourself and you're lifting goals. From there, their proprietary algorithms will work towards building the smartest program for you. And that program is going to be individualized for your specific needs and goals. And it's going to make adjustments every step of the way. So you're getting the most out of every training session. I've been using Juggernaut AI for like three or four years now. And I love it.
Starting point is 01:44:38 It's kept training fun and engaging. It's made me hit some all-time PRs and keeps you on track. I highly recommend it. Go to juggernaut AI. That is their website. Go on there. If you sign up on the website, you can use Code Massenomics and save 10% on the lifetime of your membership. Code Mastonomics, juggornotAI.
Starting point is 01:44:59 Dot app. Thank you, Juggernot AI. All right. Do we want to do any form of a radar report this week at all? I was going to mention, should I mention the new thing we added? Is that appropriate? Ladies and gentlemen, can I please have your attention?
Starting point is 01:45:15 Red our love. Yeah, what do you got? All right. This is kind of the soft launch, but we have officially added a recovery slash mobility category to the website. In the past, we'd kind of,
Starting point is 01:45:34 we were really focused on just the straight-up gym equipment in the beginning, and there was a lot of people over time that have added in foam rollers, massage tools, things like that, that some of them we kind of let through because Rogue and Rep and other actual Jimmy Equipment companies made these things. So it was kind of on a weird case-by-case basis, but going forward, we have officially made the category. So if you have anything that you think fits into the recovery slash mobility category, whether that's like I was saying, rollers, massage tools, you know, theragons, things like,
Starting point is 01:46:08 that, heat therapy, cold therapy, you know, cold plunges, sanas, things along those lines. We're taking them all. So send them our way. There's been no doubt probably hundreds of products since we've started that. We've rejected. But now if you want to add those back in, we are very likely to accept them. So for those of you looking for some points, this might be a way to get a few extra ones all the sudden. Yep. Okay. That's and we're now are officially over 8,000 pieces of equipment approved
Starting point is 01:46:43 in the database. As I said, we're at 8,080 and it is just getting unbelievably comprehensive, I think, is what the database is becoming. And what, like what I've heard people say sometimes before is they're like, oh, I got a lot of weird stuff. You know, I don't think it would make sense for me to add, at my gym and I'm like, try me. Like test it. You see what we're missing. Yeah, I'd be like, even most of the weird stuff is even when you're like, no, I got a lot of old commercial stuff. So does our database. You're like, oh, I got a lot of old vintage stuff.
Starting point is 01:47:22 So does our database. You know, like you'll actually be surprised. Some of it you might not even know exactly what you have. That's like it's this old piece and you like do a little looking at it. you're like search it on Jim Raider, you might find that it's actually is already on the website. More than likely probably is there, yes. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:47:39 And there will, of course, be things that are not there. But that's why it's very simple for you to be able to request that they're added. And then we can hopefully fill those gaps. But yeah, over 8,000 pieces of equipment in our database. That backlog was getting a little big after Home JimCon, but luckily we managed to clear it. Yeah, we waxed those down pretty good. and also generally gym radar,
Starting point is 01:48:06 a lot of activity on it since home gymcon, which has been great to see. A lot of signups, a lot of reviews, a lot of new gyms, a lot of everything, actually. Yes, which is awesome. I think that's it for episode number 541, the call-in episode.
Starting point is 01:48:27 I think so. Title to be determined later. Yeah. YouTube? We got one more home gym con video that will be out by the time this comes out. That'll be out by now. That would be the hidden gems of home gymcon. Got the edit mostly done today.
Starting point is 01:48:43 There is some really good stuff in there, Tanner. Is there some hidden gems? It's full, not some, it's all hidden gems. They're so hidden. I don't even know all the gems. I can't wait to see it myself. It's good. They were like hidden in plain sight,
Starting point is 01:48:58 right underneath our noses the whole time. The hidden gems of home gym con. Don't miss that one, though. I mean, there is some real hidden Jim. That also features a ton of Massonomic supporting members as business owners. Yep. Okay. All right.
Starting point is 01:49:14 Tommy, where do they find you at? You can find me at Tomahawk underscore D. Follow me at Tanner underscore Bear. Just make sure to follow Jim Radar at Jim Radar HQ and follow Massonomics at Massonomics. See you.
