On June 18th, 20203, Ocean Gates' Titan submersible imploded during an expedition dive to the Titanic,
killing all five on board, including Ocean Gate founder and CEO Stockton Rush.
Numerous industry experts and employees from within Ocean Gate itself had warned Rush of impending doom,
citing safety concerns and a lack of testing.
His hubris, ego, and reckless desire for innovation over all else,
cost him his life and that of four others.
The catastrophic destruction of the Titan submersible
sent shockwaves through the ocean exploration industry
that are still being felt today.
The Ocean Gate Titan Submersible, a preventable tragedy,
a two-part series available now on shipwrecks and sea dogs.

There is an unclaimed permanent life insurance policy
in the sums of $11 million U.S. dollars.
We have an opportunity to get millions.
So let's call it.
How many people do you catch with this hustle right here?
Because I love it.
Listen, between you and me, though, come on honestly, how many people fall for this at day?
What?
What are you doing?
What is it?
I'm ready.
This is already.
You got a whole file.
I got a whole file.
Yes, because I was helping out a, anyway.
He's very organized.
Well, because I fell for this.
No, you did not fall for it.
Did you?
Yes.
So this is, okay.
Well, I mean, like to start at the beginning.
Start at the beginning.
Oh, so I actually had a friend contact me about something that came in the mail that was offered to him.
He's a roofer.
And he's like, man, take a look at this.
You know, I'm not so sure about it.
So I said, well, send me what you got.
And he sent me some.
documents. So I looked at him and it was obviously a scam to me.
Right. So I called my constituent here because this is more like kind of his feel that he sharpened and stuff. I'm like, man, I don't know about this stuff. But take a look at this.
So he called me and when he gave me the letter, what did the letter say? And that's what I'm going to read. So like I, I,
when I read this letter
like I
viewed it as
how could I improve on this
not how can I can improve
but I saw this letter and I told myself
this sounds like
somebody like Matt and I
sitting down and discussing it
but what had happened to me was
I actually
so let me just get into the story
and I don't even want to blow the surprise
all right so what the letter says
is it's from what appears to be
a lawyer. And when I go to the lawyer's website, it's obviously a fraudulent, created website
that's very benign. Like if I wanted to fool a bank into thinking I had a company, right? And do you
have a website? Yes, I have a website. And I would have someone design a website. Very dry.
Yeah, just picture. And it's supposed to be a lawyer's website. You know, and there's no pictures of the
lawyer. There's some guy on fire.
Something like that.
But what the letter says is, his friend's name is, just to block it out, we'll just say his name is Roger.
Roger.
Roger Goodell.
Goodell.
So it says, Mr. Goodell, my name is Andrew McGregor.
That's the lawyer.
I'm a partner at the Andrew McGregor, LLP in Canada.
It says, apologies if my letter came to you as a surprise since there's been no previous
correspondence between us.
There is a
unclaimed permanent life
insurance policy held by
our deceased client.
What is saying is the transaction pertains
to a unclaim, payable
on death, saving monetary
deposit in the sums of $11,800,000
and $20.20.
You think I wouldn't know
if I had a relative worth of $11 million.
We'll get the whole scope.
The policyholder,
was one of our clients, a late Mrs. Maria Goodell, who shares the same last name with you and was a stockbroker and retired CPA.
She was a COVID-19 victim who died about four years ago. Since her death, no one has come forward for the claim and all of our efforts to locate her relatives have proved unsuccessful.
The insurance company code stipulates that insured permanent policies not claim must be turned over to the abandoned property division of the state after three years.
Therefore, I ask consent for you to be in partnership with me for the claim of this policy benefit in view of the striking similarities in the same last name, nationality with the deceased.
If you permit me to add your name to the policy, all proceeds will be presented.
process on your behalf. I wish to point out that I want 10% of this money to be shared among
charity organization while the remaining 90% will be shared between us. This is 100% risk-free.
I do have all the necessary documents to expedite the process. Highly, then he goes into any regular
talking of what lawyers say. This is a variation of the Nigerian print scam.
Talk about the Nigerian print scam.
So it started where they were writing letters back in like that 50s, 60s, right?
So they would write letters from Nigeria to people where they'd get their name and address
and they would say that there was a Nigerian prince that had died and all the money had been
left to his barrister.
And his barrister also died in a car bombing with the prince.
But he was in charge of the money.
And you have access to the, but you have access to the.
You have the same name or a similar name to him.
And as a result of that, now this, by the way, it typically comes from someone in from like England.
And they're saying that that because your name is so similar, you are the only person that has the ability to claim the fund, the Nigerian prince's funds.
And I will represent you as your barrister, which is like an attorney.
As your attorney, I'll represent you.
You simply have to sign some papers.
he has the same name as you.
Sometimes they would accompany it by an article where there was a car bombing or something showing that.
And then you start corresponding back and forth.
And then eventually they get to a point where they, it's all ready to go.
And then suddenly they say, and all you have to do is pay the transfer or the taxes or the whatever and we'll release the money.
This is absolutely.
So exactly what happened.
Well, you know, so it started with letters.
But then it turned into telephone calls.
Yes.
And then after the phone call, well, I'm saying no, the first version, wait, wait, wait, I'm saying the first, let me, I'm saying, I'm saying the first version was all letters. But then once you start, we're able to make long distance phone calls, they would just call you. That's where the Nigerian, the bank, phone banks came from. Then it became emails. So it's funny to me that this is now a letter again. Yes. Does that make sense? Like through the years, over the last 50 to 70 years, it's just, it's evolved. Right. And it's all the way back to the letter.
because the letter is way more credible and personal than an email, right?
Yes.
Oh, yeah, so I'm sorry.
So, yeah, that's, that to me is.
But you just described exactly.
It's a variation, though.
But let me hear what happened.
I'm sorry.
And that's the show guys.
Which is why next week.
Well, actually, I'm a real scamper.
Which is why when I told him, let's present it to you on a podcast.
He's like, no, no, we can figure this out.
And I'm such an idiot.
I'm wondering how far you guys went with this.
I have a folder, man.
And it's red.
It's red, man.
How much way did you send him?
Not that much.
All right.
So, yes.
So I believed it.
I honestly, straight up, I'm talking to his friend, Raj, because he put me in touch.
And I'm going, dude.
You did not believe it.
Well, he's like, man, this is credible.
This is, you know, looking at all the checks and balances.
like they and then he's like well why would they go through all of this right because my my question
is why would like what is the deal like you're saying if i was active right now i'd have all your
motherfuckin money i'd have all your money i hate to interrupt the program but if you didn't know
my name's matthew cox and i spent 13 years in prison for title theft and this is how easy title
theft is i can be sitting in a starbucks with my computer
I can go online, go to public records, get your address, name of the homeowner.
I can create a deed, a satisfaction of mortgage.
I can file that satisfaction of mortgage.
I can then transfer the name of your home into someone else's name, or I can simply
create a driver's license in the true homeowner's name.
I can then sell the home or borrow against the home, and I can do all of that online
sitting in Starbucks. I can apply for the mortgages online. I can open up the bank accounts online.
I can go to the closing online. I can have all the documents notarized online. And I can have all
of the money wired into my bank accounts online. I can then transfer that money out of those accounts
to other accounts. Or maybe I could buy precious metals. I could buy diamonds. And I can have all
of that delivered anywhere I want by sitting in Starbucks. That's how easy you.
it is to commit this crime now. And it's happening more and more every single day. If you think
that you're not vulnerable, you're dead wrong. Do you know who's a potential victim of this crime?
Anybody that owns a house. Anybody that thinks I can't be a victim is just absolutely dead wrong.
I'm telling you right now, if you own a piece of property, you are a potential victim. The only way
to stop the crime is to be notified by a monitoring service like Home Title Lock. Home Title Lock monitors
your property records, alerts you of any changes, and if you are a victim, they jump in with their
team of restoration experts to resolve the issue. You can get a 30-day free trial of their triple
lock protection and a complementary title history report by going to hometidaloc.com and using
promo code Matt 30 or click on the link in the description box.
Don't let someone like me catch you off guard.
Well, I didn't see where he didn't ask for money.
He's basically saying he's giving us money.
Not yet.
Not yet.
He didn't see the end game.
I did not see the end game.
So I completely bought into it.
And because I'm telling myself, what if this woman actually died and he's in Canada and he
doesn't have anyone to claim it?
Why, what's funny, what's so great about this is that, like, I just interviewed a guy who literally worked for a company that tracked down people that had inheritances.
Like, this is a real thing.
They really do track people down.
Tell you that's exactly what I do.
But I know that his procedures aren't, you know.
Yeah.
You have to get 10% to various charities.
And then we split.
That's not how it works.
They basically take 30% like any normal lawyer.
depending on how much they have into it they might ask for 30% on top of their their fees like hey we had to we spit this much for this but that's still going to be one and their verification is so credible like yeah they have to try track that he really is this guy is to me when he was saying that this money is about to go to the state and rather than have the money go to the state like why couldn't we get work with me like he's kind of a crooked lawyer like work with me yes and that and
And like, that absolutely worked on me because I'm telling myself that if like this is, I'm telling him and Roger, this is real.
I'm telling you.
I'm going to cover up the name.
Okay.
So just, well, you won't be on.
It won't.
Nobody can see it.
Is this the actual letter?
Yes.
Because to me, one, this is funny because almost every lawyer letter I've ever seen has been justified, like the paragraphs are justified.
The other thing is the margins are really horrible.
He's covering the whole page.
This is almost like an email.
You know,
so to me and the paper like no lawyers sending it on this crap paper.
There's no color.
Right.
Like you would have to have seals.
You know how they get fancy.
Well,
I don't know about the seals,
but it looks,
it looks legit.
It's just the formatting isn't like a legal person.
But what if I told you,
Matt,
my thing.
So as the idiot,
as the village idiot,
my thinking was this isn't a real lawyer.
You're thinking it's still kind of,
Or he's a lawyer and he's fishing.
He's just dirty.
Yeah, he's dirty and he's sitting out.
He still be professional.
Like, listen, I could approve on this.
But anyway, go ahead.
I feel confident.
I can approve.
And I would have set up a very credible website.
But let's go.
You had lawyer, please.
Let's move on.
Let's keep going.
Tell me.
I felt that he was fishing.
So I told Roger, I'm like, this guy's fishing.
He's probably got this money that's about to go to the state.
And so we have an officer.
opportunity to get millions. So let's call him. So he asked that we call, so we called it.
What happened? Well, he answered and he got very excited. He's like, oh, this is a great day for both
of us. This is a opportunity for both of us. And convincingly, he's like, listen, he goes, I don't know
if you've ever thought about being a millionaire, but this is our chance. He, yes. Don't look this
gift to Orson the moment. That's right. So I told myself, I'm not going to look this in the
so what do we need to do? So he emailed us all the forms like with Rogers ID to send it back.
You know, he sent us all the court papers and he meant. Oh, he says there's stamps.
Stamps and everything. Yes. So he sent us all the court papers. And so we filled out the paperwork
and emailed it back, right?
So he said it's very depressing.
What did you, when you laid in bed at night and you thought about this, what car were
you going to buy?
How did you know?
He was thinking more long times of car brand.
He was buying into GMC.
Yes.
I was going to buy it a lot.
But look, when I brought it to him, he kept, six kept going, this is obviously a scam.
I would not waste any time with it.
But I had convinced Roger, don't listen to this guy.
He's like, but it's obviously, he goes, why would you waste?
He goes, you want to.
I go, he's not asking us for money.
As a matter of that he made it even look like that he actually paid like $5,000 to get the process going.
And I'm going to show you a copy because he sent me a copy of a check where it looks like he actually paid some money.
What's the lawyer's name?
McGregor.
Andrew, Andrew, Andrew, let me send, let me reimburse you for that.
Let me reimburse you for that.
After we get the money, I want to make sure I pay you back.
Oh, did I bring his, his check?
I know I, I don't have a copy of his check, but he actually paid like $4,000, $5,000.
He's a good guy.
Initially, that's what he made me.
Oh, there it is.
Oh, it's a good cashier's check.
So he made it look like he had already paid some money in order to start the process going.
He's a good guy.
He's a good guy.
Superior Court of Justice.
Superior Court of Justice.
Come on.
Of justice.
That is what it's what it's called.
So Matt, all the way along the line.
You're checking?
Yes.
I'm researching.
Their core system cannot be the Superior Court of Justice.
Are you kidding me?
No, I'm not.
That's what it's called.
That's their state courts is what it's called.
Wow.
There was, to be honest, there was a couple of things that were skewed.
You know, like the location of the lawyer and the phone number.
Like, he also wanted me to contact someone at the bank, and it was a Monday.
And when I looked the bank up, the bank was actually closed on Monday and the person called me back.
But I'm like, I just got on the website and you're closed.
So I felt like there was some sort of scamming going into it,
but I thought he was just doing that
so that we wouldn't see how the process
of getting the million dollars was going to go.
So it's just for the viewers at home,
like when I opened and it took a look,
two sentences in, I'm like, oh, this is a scam.
What do we even go like?
I'm like, it's not a, I go, it is a scam.
scam, but it's a scam against the state to stop them from getting $11 million.
It's not a scam against us.
Right.
He's not, he just wants to use our name to get the money.
His angle resonated with Zach just instant.
This could work.
This is 11 million genius.
Kinder's spirit.
So what happened then?
You called them.
So what happened?
So I called them and we filled out the paperwork.
We went back and forth.
And so it comes to where we actually fill out the form to get the money deposited in the account, which is this is the form.
And there is what we learned about the processing fees.
So once we got all of the process process.
Yes.
But Andrew, Andrew, I'm assuming you're taking care of this, right?
He started the payments.
Right.
Unfortunately, at this stage, he'll be.
That's what Andrew was, I'm representing you, but you're dealing directly with the bank to get the money.
So you have to handle everything with the bank.
So the processing fees for $10 million to $20 million.
Penny.
Yeah, is $15,500.
Penny's on the dollar.
Mr. Millionaire.
Who's coming up with that?
Well, which could be payable in Bitcoin.
Yeah.
It would need to be wired directly.
to a corporation out of New York, a LLC.
Do you have any idea how much I wish Zach could come to me and said,
can you lend me $15,000?
So I could have shown me the paperwork and I could have said,
let's sit out for a minute.
I know that feeling.
I know that feeling I could identify.
Put your arm around me like,
come on.
You have $15 million.
No, $11 million.
Come on.
It's okay.
It seems so real, Matt.
The dream of the money because he was never asking for money.
He never up front said like if you pay us this, it's basically I'm going to sell you the dream.
This is a matter of fact, when he still calls, when he calls, he asks me, so what are you going to do with the money?
He goes, I'm thinking about taking a trip with me and the wife with my money.
I want to make a crack about why scammers go after old people, but Zach's only a year old.
I wouldn't fall for this, but in a year from now, I may be sitting here with someone going,
no, you don't understand.
He didn't want any money.
So what would stop me from like immediately just the letter, you'd have been like, this is garbage?
This is, this is the scam.
Yep.
This is a scam.
You wouldn't have been interested in what the scam is.
You know what it's funny?
There have been times when like they've, I've gotten the phone call where the person says, you know,
like, they'll say like your, your social security number has been canceled.
You know, please stay on.
line to speak with a representative from the social security administration. And it's like,
you can't cancel a social security number. Like that doesn't, you know, and I've been like,
let me stay on the law. Let me see what you got. Let me explain what these. Let me talk. I've
actually had times where I've thought, let me, let me go ahead and straighten this guy out.
Yeah, this is not. I hear you. Yeah, I hear you. I, I see where you're at with this.
Your instinct was right, but you're going about it wrong.
what you need to do and help them.
You got a pen of paper.
Right.
But, you know, after being on the phone and laughing with the guy and joking with him
and him knowing that I know and they're, you know, and then they get frustrated, they get pissed
off at you because you're just mocking them and then they just hang up on you.
You know, so I can never get very far.
I've gotten to the point where they transfer you to the second person and talk to that guy.
The guy right there.
Yeah, yeah, exactly.
And then that was a woman and she got upset with me and she was irritated with me.
because I was laughing so much and asking so many questions.
And she knew that I knew, but I wasn't saying I know.
I was like, well, I don't understand why exactly again was it canceled?
How do you cancel a social?
She could feel the mocking in my voice.
And finally she got frustrated and said, all right, yeah, we're done with this guy.
And click.
Next, next sucker.
Yeah.
But I didn't see this because I didn't understand where it would be a scam against me
because he's not asking me for money.
Right.
He kept reiterating the fact that, look,
I don't need anything from you.
We're going to do this.
It's the 10% bank that needs it.
Not me.
Yeah.
Exactly.
So when you saw the fees, what did you say?
I said, there's the scam.
There it is.
Yeah.
Like, because of all the things that were off, because I'm up on online researching everything,
and there's a lot of things that were off.
Because of that, I knew it was something.
I just didn't know what it was.
Like, you're offering me millions.
of dollars. And then I'm thinking, because at one point, I think there was a Nigerian scam where people
were putting money in this. Remember I told you about that? I used to beg people to call,
like my friends were going, these Nigerian people are calling us up and they're depositing
fake cashier's checks in our accounts. And then we give them half the money. And then a week later,
it bounces. It bounces. I'm like, oh, my God, I want to have that done to me. I want some.
You know what I'm saying?
So I, and I figured that that was a situation.
Like they wanted this guy to give up an account and they were going to drop $11 million in it.
And we give them half the money.
You know, my involvement in is I'm kind of like, listen, Roger, whatever happens, let's work this out.
Because I'm thinking maybe they want to wire 11 million bucks in.
Maybe it was they're trying to take the money from the state.
Whatever it was, I'm like, whatever.
they're doing, it means we're going to get some money. Let's do this. He's saying, yes, yes, yes. You're
going, Roger, you're never going to see that money. Is that right? From the beginning.
Okay. I read a waste of your time. Literally, I'm like, yeah, no, I don't like it. Yeah, I don't like it.
So what, what would you call the guy? What did he say when you said, what's with these fees?
He's like, just paid a fees and we get the millions. I said, well, how fast is it? He goes,
he's normally the same day.
Within minutes of the money going out, the millions come in.
The millions of regret comes in.
They pass each other on the wires.
And that's when I realized that's that was the scam.
So I'm like, so that's the scam.
The scam is to sell me a dream and then I buy it.
Really what I realized is because,
Roger had another friend that was owned a roofing company, and he got the same letter.
Oh.
A different lawyer.
A different lawyer.
I'm going to go out on my way here and say, it may be the same lawyer.
So what we were talking about is obviously these guys are targeting people who own roofing companies who probably have $15,000 like it's $200.
Like, you might ask me for $200,
give me $200 and I'll give you $100,000.
What, $200?
I can actually afford to do that.
Right.
They're just targeting business owners that have accounts
and that they know that probably have access to the $10,000 and $15,000.
And it would give it off.
And so the basis, the same letter.
Like the backbook of a scam is I'm offering me something to win.
You know, like, like here's all it is.
I just need.
I was dreaming of this money.
And then I kept telling myself, no matter how it's coming.
It's coming.
It's coming.
No matter how it shows up, I'm winning.
So we wanted to present that to you, I guess, and get your opinion.
Not of my stupidity, because we can, or let's talk about that up front.
You know, it's funny is, and I actually think I did a show.
Didn't I do it?
We do a show where I mentioned this before where, so I sell paintings on Etsy.
right? I have a painting.
I have a I have a store on Etsy called, by the way, it's Cox Pop Art and you can buy
paintings. Anyway, the shameless plug.
So if somebody goes on Cox Pop Art and they, they contact me and they said, look, I want
this one painting, whatever. Let's say it was a $300 painting.
And it was a woman and she said, hey, I have this $300 painting.
I like it.
And I said, okay, it was three, it's like $300 or $300 or $300 and I'll ship it to you.
She was okay.
She said, she comes back.
She says, look, I want it.
The problem is she said, can I have, she's, I'd rather just buy it from you directly.
And this was, by the way, she had contacted me.
She'd seen the stuff on the website, but sent me an email.
And my email, I think, is on the website.
So she goes, yeah, I'll just sit.
can I just send you a cashier's check?
And I said, yeah, I got no problem with that.
Because that's happened multiple times where people have just mailed me.
First, I said, why don't you just zell me or this?
I gave her different.
She's like, yeah, I don't only have that stuff.
Can I just send you a cashier's check?
That's fine.
I've actually had guys buy paintings like that before.
They didn't think anything of it.
So I was actually with Jess, which is my wife.
And we were driving to where they were driving to the,
Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office because I was doing a speech in front of about 40 law enforcement
officers. So I'm driving to there. And we're in a Starbucks getting Starbucks before I go in.
And I check my email and there's there's a there's an email. And the woman says, oh my gosh,
she's like, you're not going to believe this. She said, my uncle is the one who paid for the painting.
I told him to mail you a check for $300, a cashier check for $300.
He accidentally mailed you a check for $1,100.
He owes my, he was supposed to send $800 to my brother.
And he's, he's an older guy and he got confused and got one cashier's check and he's mailed it to you.
And she said, could you do me a fee?
favor, you don't have to mail it back to me, just deposit the check.
Oh my God.
And then Zell me or PayPal me or I forget what it was, but basically send me the $800 back.
And it was like, you can send it directly back to my uncle or whoever it was.
And I, so I was like, and I went, listen to this.
And I hit Jess.
I said, listen, I read the email to Jess.
And Jess goes, well, that's trusting.
of her to trust that you would send the money back.
So that's, yeah, that's fine.
She's, you'll send the money back.
And I went, I had my first thought was, boy, I'd take everything you had if I was
in a love with you.
Why do you see it that way?
It's like, because I immediately, I thought, because my first, obviously I know the cashier's
check, you're going to get the cashier's check, deposit it.
They're looking for people that have established bank accounts that will automatically,
the bank will automatically give them the money.
Oh, yeah, of course, that's good.
Two days later.
Boom, there's the money.
And then, of course, of course.
course, I'm, I'm zelling the money out or paypaling or whatever, cash app. I'll give them the money.
And now they've drained that account and then it's over. They've got 900 bucks. And it seems like
a minor amount of money to you and I, but, sorry, but $800 to some scammer in Nigeria,
that's like getting five grand or $10. That's like a six or $7,000 lick. And these are people
that live off of 500 bucks a month. And they just made $8,000. And to them, that's like getting
checked for $7 or $8,000. Right. You don't have to have but one of those a month work.
If they get two a week or two a day, they're living in pit houses. And they're flooding.
They're put, they're throwing out thousands of. Right. So I sent her an email back and I said,
you know, absolutely no problem. Go ahead and send me the check. And she sent me to check. And
So a couple of days later, I get the, I get the cashiers check.
Or I'm sorry, I said, absolutely no problem.
I'll send you the money back.
How do you want me to send it to you?
And she told me, oh, why?
She sent me the thing.
And, okay.
And of course, a couple days later, I get, I get the cashier's check.
And it looked good, you know?
They all do.
Right.
So, listen, it looked, it was super legit.
Like, I was, you know, really, like, impressed.
I was like, wow.
Like, had it been, like, I'll bet you this works a lot.
This looks like sex is work.
And that's what I was saying I was praying for.
That's the same scam.
So I dragged her along, by the way,
from the next two or three weeks to the point where they were sending me that she had my,
my text.
So we were texting at that point.
Now I'm getting towards the end,
he's sending me text messages like,
are you trying to scam me?
Are you keeping it?
And I said, come on,
stop it.
What if she's real?
Like, what if she's real?
First of all, she's not real.
Because when I started saying, come on, cut the shit.
And I went through the whole, oh, by the way, to make sure that it wasn't real, I actually went to the bank and showed the bank.
They said, boy, it looks good, you know, but we get these all, we get stuff like this all the time.
She said, it's not, it's not.
And she went and checked the, does the account, the account, it doesn't, isn't any good.
You know, and it just went through a whole thing.
She came back.
She said, yeah, it's no good.
And then, of course, I actually talked to a Hillsborough, one of the guys at the thing, the Hillsborough County, um, economic crime division.
And I talked to him and I said, hey, I said, can I fill out a police report?
Like, I love to get this person.
Like, and he is, we're not getting him.
He is, we're not going to get him.
He said, Matt, he said, I'm not going to take it.
He said, yeah, I'll take the report if you want.
He said, it's not worth it though.
And he said, there's no way.
So this person's in Nigeria or he named off like six different countries that that person would be in.
And they're going to send it here.
They've got people that open, do nothing, do nothing but open up cash apps,
PayPal accounts.
they've run all the money through within three weeks and close them down and they've already got six other ones.
Wow.
Yeah.
So, I mean, there's a, there's a place in, that's what you were saying too.
It's like, because I see this guy in an office and a phone in a phone bag is what you get to say.
You know, if you remove the fact that you're clipping people for money, right, that you're stealing from people that probably, I don't know whether they can afford it or not.
Nobody wants to lose it.
You're causing anxiety.
If you remove that from the equation, it sounds like.
a fun job. You know, it's like I'm just saying it's like I could see me trying to craft the letters
and making the website and creating the backstory. I told him that's what I go for some reason I pictured
his lawyer calling up a friend like Matt and saying listen this woman's account's about the clothes
that's $11 million. What can I do? Like I had this vision like I spent a lot of time pending on this
letter because I'm like what is the scam? What is it? And I go, I have vision.
this guy has a friend like Matt, and Matt,
and the friend is saying,
find somebody with a similar name
and just shoot him out a letter.
Set up another lawyer office.
This is me visiting this.
Set up a lawyer office
that kind of looks like a law firm,
send some letters out with somebody with the same name,
see if you can find somebody game enough
to say that, hey, they're related to her,
and then you get the money and you split it with them.
Like, what do you got to lose?
I saw that glint in his eye.
Yes.
I was starstruck.
But there's a,
this is you look, why would they hang?
I'm like,
Z.
Come off.
How far did this go?
Did you, once you talk to him,
did you talk to him and say them?
He said, just pay them.
What did you say?
Had that conversation.
When he wanted the fee for the bank,
I say there's the scare.
There it is.
I know that, but did you say to him,
there it is?
No.
Did you call him?
and say,
we need to call him now and you say,
I think we should get this guy on the phone.
I think you explain it.
And here's what,
what about this?
What about you get him on the phone?
But you say,
listen,
this is my,
because he still thinks this is possible, right?
Yes.
Say, listen,
tell him you don't have the 15.
You're trying to convince me to loan him to 15,000.
I like it.
I like it.
Right?
And then I'll sit there.
I'll be like,
yeah,
I don't understand.
So why can't you just pay?
Why can't you just take the money out of the?
the the the 11 million like why do I have to how does that work because he talked and said that but
I mean if you want to call I know what he's going to say let's got to spin it I mean he's going to be
like no no we have to receive the money first we have to you want me to call or you you need to call
right yeah I have the uh phone in the car I hope let's go come on he's been calling me really
we got to call him it's only where is he where is he's supposed to be in Canada in Canada
Yeah.
Oh, it may be in Canada.
You don't know.
I don't know.
It's 1.30 in Canada.
I'll go get it.
Stop the press.
Stop the camera.
Yeah.
He might not answer, but he'll call back.
He's probably got somebody else.
He'll call back.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Well, this is one of my guys.
One of my guys.
Hello.
Hi.
Hey, this is, this is Roy.
I'm okay.
I'm just wondering if this is still possible.
I've been talking to the people at my bank.
Is this my, wait, wait, is this Andrew
McGregor? Yeah. Yeah, I've been talking to the people at my bank. We've been trying to decide
whether or not about this wire. Well, I had to borrow the money from a friend of mine to get
the money in order to pay for the wire. Well, I got my friend. I've been asking him to loan me
the money. Just explain to him, like how you're helping me with the, to get the inheritance
and everything?
I'm trying to convince him.
Introduce me.
Oh, this is Matt.
Hey, Zach, I'm sorry.
Roy's asking me to give him $15,000 to send to you.
I just want to know that if I do that,
you're going to be able to release the money,
the $11 million.
Is that what's happening?
Yeah, the bank is going to release the money for him.
He's not under me to me.
I already paid some money myself to get the documentation ready.
So it's not sending the money to me.
The bank will remove the payment, and I have a fair share of the money.
So I need to get my own also.
I already paid for the whole documentations to be ready in Roy, Maine.
Do I need to give Roy the money directly, or can I wire you the money and have,
And like, where's the money going to be wired?
It's, it is, just to make sure, it is $11.8 million.
Is that, and that's U.S.?
Okay, in dollars.
Okay.
Can I wire you the money directly from my account or I need to wire it to Roy first?
Yeah, can, like, we want to know, can he send it to the bank or do I, he has to give it to me and then I send it to the bank?
Disconnected.
Does you want to call him back?
He hung up.
He might go on.
He was waiting.
There's too many people.
It's just too bad.
I mean,
it's not,
I think it's,
it's a bad,
fucked up connection.
Yeah,
because he's on a,
he's on a voice over IP.
Yeah.
Yeah,
that tells you it's,
yeah.
We understand.
Hi,
we got disconnected.
We're just trying to figure out,
like,
if he can,
if he has to give it to me
and I send it,
or can he just send it?
I don't know your relationship with your friend,
but I know that the whole process that you working with,
the forms will be relieved.
I'm working towards that to the extent of the thing
and also from the local sound.
I got you.
Hey, Andrew, can I ask a question off topic?
Are you black?
You're not, I'm just asking.
I'm black. That's why I was asking.
You're okay.
You say that as if, like, you could be mixed, confused for black.
You dark?
Hey, I don't understand your question.
You are right?
Oh, I'm just, I'm because, you know, like, I'm a black man.
And, and I'm thinking that maybe you're, like, of, like, African or Haitian or, you know what I'm saying?
Some Nigerian descent.
I'm more African.
You're African?
I'm more African.
You're not African.
You're not African?
Oh, you're Nigerian or no?
Did he hang up?
I wanted to ask me.
I want to go, why you do this to black people?
I was going to ask him.
I wanted to ask him like, listen, between you and me, bro, come on honestly, how many people
fall for this a day?
How many people a day?
That's what I call him.
That's calling back, man.
How many people do you get?
Between me and you.
How many people do you get on this scam?
Honestly.
Give me the numbers, man.
Yeah.
I shouldn't have said.
that then. I should have asked him.
That's what I was going to ask. He's probably not going to answer.
He might answer.
Oh, now he's done.
He's that awesome music background.
Oh, he turned it off. He's at the house.
Turn the music down.
I don't know.
He might as text him. Say, one more question.
Please answer.
Before I send this money.
I need the 11.8.
Yeah.
Hi, Roy.
Hey, what's happening, Andrew?
I'm rolling down.
Well, like, I just wanted to ask you, like, how many people do you catch with this, this hustle right here?
Because I love it.
I love it.
We're just curious.
We're just curious.
How many people send me?
How many times?
Do you really get the $15 million?
Like, 15,000.
Of course.
Because you've got a baby.
And he would have, listen, I was gone.
Because you imagine if he just gets.
I was gone, Matt.
If he just gets one person a month.
He's living well.
Right.
He's living well.
One person every other month.
Like, what if somebody negotiated with him?
Like, what if you sat there and said, listen, I can't do it?
Like, I can maybe get five grand.
Can I, is there any way you can float me the money?
Like, I'll bet you he starts to be like, okay, I can maybe, yeah, I can probably do five.
Send me five.
He's going to want something.
Like he said, he paid, he already paid something.
You know what I'm saying?
I was gone.
He had me gone.
Like I was spending this money like you would not believe.
It's got to be legit.
What's the phone number?
You're going to call from my number.
And why is that phone number already in your context?
You're like, I have been talking to him.
So dialed this one.
Okay.
And then just tell him you just got to your Jason and you just got a letter.
Hello?
Hello?
Hello?
Mr. Taylor, I received a letter from you in the mail. It's about an inheritance that I may
possibly be able to be eligible for. It's for it. Excuse me? Send you an email. Oh, okay. Well,
I mean, you can't talk right now. But I have some questions real quick. Are you a lawyer?
Okay. Okay. I'm just wondering where you're located. I have.
I haven't heard of the law firm. I don't understand what this is in regards to.
He sounds like he was with his baby mom.
You're supposed to say, listen.
They were shopping. Can I really get $10 million?
No, send me an email.
So let him a question. Do you think it's the same guy?
I think he's in the same room.
Send me an email. Send me an email.
Yeah, he sounds much more, he sounds much more African.
Send me an email
Send me a email
I just learned what email is
Send it
Best way to communicate
Who is this
Send me an email
It's funny that they're
They're going back to the old
I love the fact that they're going back
Old school
You know they're going back old school
Because it gives it a more personal touch
Yeah, it's in your hand
And then they
Do your mic back
Oh I'm sorry
Yeah I mean I just think that
You know they need to step up their game
I'd love to help them out
No, no, because they caught me.
They caught me big time on this.
I'm very, imagine if, I'm very embarrassed.
If Zach wired the money to me, like he comes over one day and like, bro, you're not going to believe this.
This is what I've been doing.
And Zach's like, hey, guys named Roy, whatever the day is.
Yeah, I got that money.
Oh my God.
That's very,
that's very embarrassing.
Do you think any of those guys that are doing that are like well spoken?
And they will like to,
because like I feel like after that phone call,
you should be like,
oh yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Of course.
You would think we just rattled him.
We just rattled this.
No,
I think he's probably not used to it.
He's probably not that.
Listen,
they're doing it.
They're basing it on bulk.
Yeah.
You know,
they're going to get somebody at some point.
The problem is their numbers are off.
Like, you'd probably get somebody if the fee had been much lower.
And look, if these looked more professional and someone, you had somebody answer the phone
and they spoke English and everybody involved with this spoke clear English.
There was a decent website where all of this stuff panned out.
You went and looked and that website, you're like, damn, this is a nice email.
This is a professional website.
You would say, oh, okay.
Hey, there's photographs.
There's this.
Oh, look, they even have an Instagram.
You click on the Instagram.
There's a full Instagram.
Like, really put some time into it.
And then, you know, it was sent on letterhead.
It's, it's, it's, it's.
The thing is with those guys, like, they're in these rooms, very similar.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
It's mass.
They're just, so the guys that are real good have worked up the food chain.
So they're probably in an office.
Managing the rooms.
Yeah.
You know, they're, it's, it's.
identical to telemarketing
rooms. So the lower guys, this guy doesn't
know script, he's not good.
He's just listening and
he's got this, probably a bulletin board
with his hot guys.
I visioned this to be like one or two people.
I don't even vision it to be that. Like, I think he was
at the house. The music in the background
or wherever they were. I don't,
I don't vision it as a, like,
a boiler room where they're
calling Dallin and Smiley. I got a vision
because in my mind, like, I'm
trying to vision because like what's the date? There's even not even a date on this letter.
This one's dated.
Signature is doing.
Oh, the garbage. Yeah. Listen, that's not even Andrew. That's signed Michael.
Wow.
Andrew Spence somethingsie partner signed Michael.
Yeah, I think I think if somebody, if somebody,
If they put a little more effort into this, then I think that you'd call the guy up and he would just say,
listen, this is, you know, this is what happened.
Yeah, this is what's going on.
This is where we're at.
And, well, I just didn't feel like it's a scam.
Okay, sir, I don't know what to tell you.
I wrote the letter.
This is what's going on.
This is it.
You can participate in your camp.
The money will go back to the state.
I don't know what to tell you.
I see an opportunity here.
And I've done my job.
So, you know.
And that's it.
And you go to, and they say, okay.
So you're not, so then I'm going to take this as a no. Yeah, I don't think I'm interested.
I understand. You hang up. Listen, you hang up. 50% of those people call you back.
Two days later, they call back. They go, listen, oh, tell me about this again.
Because those guys like Zach are still, they've already spent. I am a shame. They're asking too much money.
The problem is they don't realize that they're pricing out. But not if you go with roofers.
These are roofers. Okay, I understand that. But I understand that. But I understand that.
I still think you could get the average per, even the average roofer, that's 15 grand, bro.
Like, like if you said 3,500, if it was 2,700, if it was.
Your average roofer, he's got some money, he's got a little business.
So he might seem a little.
I think he would.
When he clicks and checks stuff, your average roofer guy that's probably barely internet savvy.
And he sees a website.
And he sees the letterheads.
And he calls a number.
And that actually comes to.
Right.
I feel like you guys have a low opinion of roofers.
I think that roofers are awesome.
If you knew Roger, you would think Roger's going to pay this.
He almost had Roger.
I almost had Roger.
Roger's like, well, I don't know, man.
Six is telling me, I'm like, listen, listen, I know scams.
Six don't know scams.
The scam is on the state.
It's not on you.
Oh, my God.
You know, it's really funny.
What's really funny is if you tied this into something like the Florida Treasure,
you know, there was that Florida, what is the name of Florida Treasure, whatever?
What?
The Florida Treasury.
You guys are shaking your hands like, you know what I'm talking about.
I don't.
Okay.
So there's something.
They were sending out those checks.
No, no.
It's not a scam.
Oh, I don't know anything about that.
So I believe it's Obama that came in and passed a law because there were tons of it.
So let's say you have, you left, let's say you went to jail.
Hypothetically.
Let's assume you were one of those guys.
And you went to jail and you had an apartment that was in somebody's name and you had
electric that was in somebody's name and you had to put up 500 bucks.
So the apartment goes bad and the electric company takes your $500 deposit.
They have nowhere to send it.
They send out a check.
And then after 90 days, you don't cash it and they keep it.
So it's called, it's called, I want to say it's called.
Unclaimed money.
It's unclaimed money, but it's called the website for Florida is like Florida treasure.gov or
Florida treasures.
I know exactly what you're talking about now.
Okay.
And what happens is, is that they end up with thousands of people have thousands of dollars out
there and they have no idea.
And what would happen is basically Tico or Tampa Electric Company would just keep that money.
Oh, got 500 bucks.
We'll put it aside.
And then they use that money.
And once you don't show up for so many years, they just exoner that money's there.
Well, I believe it was Obama that came in and said, look, all the states have to, they can't keep the money.
It's not their money.
They have to put it on a website and they have to actively have the website available.
And they have to advertise the website to people that they can all go and try and claim their money.
For instance, when I got out of prison, my buddy Treon told me about it.
And he said, you need to go on there and see if you have any money.
I was like, I don't have any money.
And sure enough, I did have money.
like, I forget what it was. It was like 2,100, 2,500 bucks. It was a lot. It was, yeah, it was like four
different things. One was for like an insurance policy, which I actually remember that I had been in a car
accident and I paid to have my car fixed and waited for the money, but I took off on the run before
the money came. So the insurance company, the check was never cashed. And after like two or three
years, they put it on the site. The other things were like a credit card and something. There were
several other things where I'd put up like three grand on a secured credit card for some
bullshit and then they ended up, you know, ended up giving the money back. Like there was a few
different things like that. So the money's on the site. I just went on the site, filled out the
form. But when I first went on the site and I filled out the form, I immediately got contacted by
these, you know, companies, professional companies that would tell you we can help get your money.
And they wanted like 10% to help get it. And I was like, I can fill out the form myself. So what I'm
saying is if you took something like that that's legitimate and tried to tie into it and said,
hey, by the way, we are, you know, connected with the website, gave them the website and everything
and said, we've searched it and we've found multiple people that have a similar name to yours,
but they've passed away. And did the same thing. Now you've tied into that to you're an attorney
that works with them. Well, which is probably I feel like, people don't try this at home.
Listen, I analyze this is why I felt like they used Canadian.
law. Because we don't quite know it. Right. We don't quite understand it. And it's not something that I can
easily look up. Because I looked up everything. I spent because everything. I was sold. I'm like,
why would they make this? And that's what I kept thinking. I said, this guy has a buddy and he talked it
over with somebody. Like, listen, I'm seeing this money about to go to the state. Like, how could we get it?
I'll tell you another thing that that happens is, and a lot of people don't understand this,
because I've actually gone through the process of having my name changed. Not
my name. I changed somebody else's name. I sold someone's identity and then changed his name.
And I know that's a shitty thing to do. Okay. I know that. I don't need judgment.
Anyway, he got it unchanged, but go ahead.
You probably didn't know it was changed it ever changed to begin with. I changed it in another
state. He was in from Florida and I changed it in North Carolina. So, and what?
Oh, that, that happens in the social security on, but go ahead. So, so all I, so what I'm saying is when I
went to the lawyer, paid a lawyer like, I don't know what it was, 1,800 bucks or something.
I mean, not of my money, stolen money. So I'm willing to spend Bank of America money like.
So I go in there. I said, listen, and my name was at the time was Michael Eckert.
So I'd stolen Michael. This is so bad. So I stole Michael Eckert's name. And just for, because I,
I just, you know, like I said, fraud is not a full-time job. I'm not working. And I thought,
how hard would it be to change somebody's name?
I'd have changed this guy's name and then get a social security issue to the new name, which I did.
And then, so I was trying to figure out how to kind of come up with a synthetic identity that was based on real people.
So that ultimately I would have a real identity that was separated.
But it was all real, based on all real docs.
So my first thing was change the guy's name.
How hard is that?
Go through this process.
So I go to a lawyer.
I give him like 1,800 bucks.
He goes, okay, no problem.
You know what he did to change the name?
You would think it would be difficult, right?
He said, I need your birth certificate.
I said, here's my birth certificate.
He said, okay.
He said, I need you to get two people to sign documents that say that they know you
and they've known you for five years and I need those documents notarized.
I said, okay.
To make sure that this is your real name, I was like, offended.
Of course it's my real name.
And I was like, okay.
So I went and somebody that I had met probably, I'd known probably a month and a half.
And then my girlfriend had known this other person probably two months.
And I said, hey, listen, and explain the whole situation.
Can you sign this and notarize it?
They said, sure.
They both signed it and had them notarized and came back.
No big deal.
So.
I would have signed both of them.
Right.
Scribled one.
Yeah, but they needed to get them notarized, which I could have also done.
Yeah, you pay them over $20 extra.
I hear you.
I hear you.
I hear you.
I hear you.
But we figured get real people.
I didn't know if he was going to call them.
So I can't pretend to be, you know, Susan Jonathan.
Yeah, I know they don't.
But I, you know, but you don't know.
And he could have pretended to be, but go ahead.
I didn't.
When they call.
Yeah, that's right.
So I take these two documents.
I fill up the paperwork.
I have my birth certificate.
I give it to him.
You know what he did?
He filed a notice.
He wrote up a piece of paper just a notice.
And he actually put it on the, um, there, they have something inside of the court,
courthouse, they actually had a wall, like a posting wall.
He went and he stuck it up on the posted wall for 10 days.
Ten days later, he took it down.
And all the notice said was like if you have any problem with this person changing their name,
please notify me, you know, immediately I'm filing a motion on this date.
Notify me of their court prior to this.
Ten days later, he pulled it off.
He filed a motion saying, Your Honor, I posted the.
this 10 days ago. There is nobody, nobody has said anything. The other thing a lot of places do
is they'll actually put it in the newspaper. And there are these little dummy newspapers that
nobody actually buys, but it's a real newspaper. And they run an ad in the newspaper. And after two
weeks or 10 days, if nobody has said anything, your name's officially changed. Then they can apply.
So he then put in the application to the judge, and the judge went, boom. And I got a thing that says,
my name is changed. I then can take that official name change and I went in to the DMV with my driver's
license and they changed it on the ID. You then can go to Social Security and do everything else. It's all
changed. So what I'm saying is based on that, that this is how this works, you could take that same
exact formula and tell people from the Florida Treasury, you could find people's names that really are owed
$10,000, $20,000, $40,000 and say, look, you give me 10% up front and I'll get you the money.
But you got to pay me the 10% up front.
Here's what I do.
And then you just, if they say, well, what about this?
You say, look, I need you to get one person to file this.
It's not saying that you are, or two people to notarize these two documents or whatever
it is.
One person to notarize the document that says you are the heir to this person and send me a copy of your birth certificate.
And I'm going to file a motion that says you're the air to this person.
And they'll release the $12,000 or $10,000 or $75,000.
It's that simple.
I do it all the time.
If you did that and they went to a website and saw the website and they saw you and say,
what am I asking for?
I'm asking for you to send me $1,200.
It's going to take 90 days for you get the money.
But that's just the way it is.
Well, no, I'm not interested.
Okay, I understand.
I'm just telling you this is somebody that this is the 90 days is too long for a person that
want to come up. Well, okay, but here's the thing. People get into an accident and flip and they're called
in the bank. But I hear you, but you need to tell them a certain period of time because you need to be able to
do this scam for at least, let's say, 60 to 90 days and then drag it out for another 30. So you need,
if you say 60, then you probably have 90 before these people go to the police. That's where I think,
that's where I think the scam falls, because if anybody who was wanting any kind of justification and
I come up off of funds and everything.
90 days is in eternity.
Yeah, but think of people.
Well, okay.
They don't think bigger picture.
It's not a lot of money, though, too.
Keep my, you go to the police and say, hey, this guy got me for 1,200 bucks.
Like, I would rather get 100 people for 1,200 bucks than get two people for 15,000.
You know, you assume I'm saying, I'll take the $100,000.
I'll take that to $100,000 over $100,000.
I'll take that.
I can get, I can easily get 100 people to give me $1,000.
$1,000 within 90 days, I don't know that I can get two people on that scam to give me 15 grand,
even if I'm hitting up roofers.
I mean, I probably could, but that's a lot of phone calls.
And what if I only get one?
What if I get nobody?
I'm definitely getting 100 people.
Right.
You know, like I think that's the, because $1,000 is not a ton of money for somebody that you can go to a dot-gov.
You can go to Florida.gov and check.
And you can check it out.
And guess what?
Jennifer Smith does have $47,000 in the account.
Or, you know, John Thomas does have $15,000 that's owed to him.
And I'm telling you right now, if you give me these two things and this and this, I can get you that money.
You pay me $1,200 bucks up front plus this.
You get it.
You could get $1,000, especially if it all look legit.
And when they call back, by the way, in 60 days when they don't get their check, you know what you do?
You answer the phone.
Hey, you know, hi, what's going on?
Or you have your secretary.
You got to have a secretary involved.
She's got to answer.
Then they give it to you.
Hold on.
I'll have so and so.
What happened?
Yeah, that worked out.
But could you imagine that?
The secretary answers and she's like, oh, I'm sorry.
He's not in.
What's going on?
And she kind of, she's what now.
Hold on.
Let me take a note.
Okay, well, wait, let me look up on the computer.
Hold on.
Yeah, you should have had that check issued.
You know what?
That, no, no, I have it here.
We sent in the paperwork.
Hold on.
computer.
Let me check.
Nah, it's taking a lot of load.
Yeah.
Right.
Yeah, so if you sat there and did that and said, no, no, I'll, you know what?
I'm going to have Mr. Thomas call you back.
So, all right.
So you're.
You just keep dragging it out.
You get another month.
I just need 90 days.
You can easily make a hundred grand easily.
I think that's very elaborate.
I was never that guy.
Like with the elaborate schemes.
Yeah, but that's what's great is as they're checking them out.
As they check them.
Listen, not only that.
You understand, you can, I can get, you could get an article placed in, in a, placed on the
internet about your company and that this is what you do.
And you definitely was a trick, Zach, because whoever went through all of that, he would
have been like, look, there's an article in the paper.
It's got to be.
I mean, think about it.
If all of that paperwork had looked legit.
And when Zach started looking, an actual article came up from some, listen, you can open up
website. I was, I was convinced anyway, but I don't know if I'm getting to it. But you were, let's face it,
what stopped you was the 15 grand. If it had been 11 or 12 and everything checked out, and then you
went and you said, let me do some reason. Let me look up who this attorney is. Three thousand, two hundred
and so many. I don't, I think you'd have paid it. I think you'd have, but I think you'd have paid
a loving or sucker, but look. I think if it was a cleaner scam.
No, no, because when he asked for money.
You knew right then.
Didn't matter how much.
Well, because, well, it's probably because he kept saying there's something about it.
And I kept saying there's something about it.
But I don't know what it is because they're not asking for money.
As soon as they ask for money, I said, that's what it is.
There is.
Because I'm like somewhere this is lining me up.
I'd have gotten.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I was suspicious from the beginning.
I was hoping.
But.
And then not only was he suspicious.
I mean, to be honest, I might have been gotten that day.
Before I did all the research, I might have been gotten.
I might have three-
-red-red flag that he uncovered.
He justified.
Ah, but it's a little shaky.
The website.
Before I found out they wanted the money.
Before he found out the money.
He kept going, you're wasting your time.
Listen, I know, but I'm just going to take a look at this.
You know.
Wasting your time.
Do you know how bad I, the just talking right now and just coming up with this,
right now on the Florida.gov thing.
Any idea how bad.
I would still on this Florida.
I would love to try that scam.
What I just said just now, like if I could get a cartblots from the government, I would
fucking, I would, I'd spend a week.
That seems very, very, very elaborate.
They're talking to somebody that doesn't elaborate.
And that seems extremely elaborate.
How is it elaborate?
It's a website.
It's a letter, a website.
and it's placing one article in a dummy newspaper online so that when they go to look you up,
if you're on the phone, the person says to you, I don't know, this feels something's wrong.
And you say, hey, listen, I was written up last month in Business Direct.
You can look me up right now.
This is what my company does.
There was an article last month on us.
It's legit.
But if you're not involved, I understand.
I appreciate if you change your mind.
But you're trying.
But you're grabbing, in some instance, you're only going to get $15, $20.
What are you going to just turn away all the little ones?
What are you talking about?
What he's saying, what he's saying is this is the, this is his hustle.
I'm saying you, so he's going to build it like that and involve all of that stuff.
And then you're literally with all these different people.
I'm going on to Florida.gov and I'm just searching a name that is owed $45,000.
So when I contact you, I explain that there's a loose.
relation between you, this person, and you. So you're related to John Smith. He's owed 45,000.
He's deceased. He hasn't claimed the money. It's been there for seven years.
So what chances are you think you're going to find that? To look up people that are owed 45,000,
7,000, 2,000, 3,000, tons of them. Frank Colta, Trion's dad was paid 65,000. He had 65 grand on there.
I was owed I was owed over $2,000.
You're going to find tons of people that are owed money and all you have to do.
And so you only go with the big ones.
You can use the same big one over and over and over again.
They don't have to have the same name because you're saying you are related to this person.
All I need from you is to provide me with your birth certificate and one letter from a friend saying or from someone that's known you that will say they've known you for over five years.
and that you are,
they are telling you that you are related.
I even write the letter.
You just have to go get it notarized
and have your buddy Jennifer sign it.
Jennifer will do it.
Jennifer,
you don't understand that even if the person says,
if the person that gets the letter
thinks to themselves,
yeah,
but I've never heard of this person.
You don't know 99% of people are going to do,
I am related.
You're right.
They're going to say the lawyer said I was related.
That happens to me.
That happens to me.
Have you seen the TikTok?
Well, it's kind of unrelated.
But like the guy finds like someone's at a department,
store looking at the shelf and the guy gets a bake
envelope with full of a hundreds and he just
kind of reaches underneath it. Did you drop this?
Yep.
Yeah, I did.
Then he's like, split it with me, man, split it with me.
And some of him like, okay, like here you go.
Some of him's like, no, this is mine.
What he's talking about?
Yeah, I think that that does work.
Because they can now go to Florida treasure.gov
and they can look at this.
He's not sleeping later than night.
I've never been to the site.
I've been switching over to Zach and he's just,
I'm thinking about adding an edit like,
like,
I've never been to that site,
so I don't even know how it functions.
Oh,
it's great, man.
You just,
you put in like a name and date to birth or name or whatever,
and it will look you,
it'll look up.
Like,
if you give them your name,
it comes up with all these names,
and then you click on it,
and then it will tell you,
it'll search it,
and they'll say,
look, this person's owed four different, four different, whatever, and they'll say the deposit,
one is for $1,200, once or 700, once or, and you end up, you're like, oh, wow, this is $2,300 and
$12 that this person's owed.
So you just turn around and you go find somebody and say, hey, that's actually your money.
I just need you to pay me.
I'll get it, but give me 10% up front.
That's it.
And they can go and check, but they can't get it themselves.
Because if they're thinking, I can get it myself, no, you can't, because you and I both
know you're not related to that person.
But I'm a lawyer and I'm saying there is a connection and all I need from you is to provide me with this and this.
I file a motion in the court.
They release the money.
It's going to take about 90 days.
And you change their name.
I'm not changing anybody's name.
I'm just saying, so what is it that you're going to do that they can't do to get it themselves?
Or you're just telling them they can't get it themselves.
I'm telling them in the letter and on the phone.
I'm telling them that this person is related to them.
Right.
There is a loose, there is a relation.
And it doesn't even matter what the relation is.
The person is deceased.
And based on, we had an ancestry person look it up and they're saying that you are their only living relative.
And as a result of that, I just need you to say that you are their only living relative and have this document signed by a friend of yours.
Send me your birth certificate to prove that it's you.
I then file a motion with the court.
And after within 90 days,
the Florida.gov,
I'm sorry,
Florida treasurer.gov will release the funds to you.
Well,
they'll release what,
so what he's saying is the reason why they can't do it on their own
is because they need a lawyer.
They need a lawyer.
It's a court proceeding.
And deep down,
they're thinking to themselves like,
I've never heard of this person.
I may need a lawyer.
Like,
like I can't do this on my own way.
I don't know what.
And if they say anything like,
what's what's the connection you say listen listen i know what you're down the line what no you don't
have to say this i know what you're thinking you're thinking you're going to go directly to florida.gov
or florida treasure dot go and you're going to try and apply for the money without you so i'm not
going to tell you what our what our ancestry whatever the name of those people are i'm not going to tell
you how they found this out okay this is what my company does if you want to check us out you can go
to the website you want to don't want to go to the website you can look me up online
We were in Business Direct last year or last month.
There's an article on my company.
This is what we do.
If you're interested, great.
If you're not interested, I understand.
Give me a call back if you're interested.
Hang up the phone.
I guarantee they go look up.
Let me look up the company.
Boom.
There's a fucking 1,200 page article.
They're going to look it up.
They're going to be like, fuck.
These people, this is what this guy does.
This is what this company does.
They're going to then contact a couple of people and everybody's going to be like, yeah,
Florida treasure.
dot gov that's a thing yeah why yeah i know my friend jennifer got back five hundred dollars yeah i looked
it up i got 12 yeah but but i mean you're saying they're gonna well no i'm saying even if
zach then calls you and says yeah uh florida treasure dot gov you ever heard of that you're gonna be
like yeah that it's a thing where they have the thing then they give people money back yeah well i
listen i got a letter from a lawyer you're and say it's a scam no man i looked it up then you're gonna
look it up and you're going to read the article you're going to be like no this is a thing
Because there are lawyers that do this.
And then your website is specializes in.
Oh, it's perfect.
Money recovery.
Absolutely.
I'm going to have people there with checks.
All these testimonies.
I don't know.
Listen, I think that's, to me, that's solid.
And that doesn't take more than on and off a couple of days to set up.
And then I'm telling you, you're going to easily make $100,000.
You have broke down the whole, if you guys want to know more.
Easily.
No.
Easily, that's 100.
That's 100.
$1,000 a dude, just your kickback working
10 hours a day. Because I got scammed, he's going to
try. I'm not trying.
You're going to suggest.
I'm just saying I would love to try that.
I can't, obviously.
Oh, okay.
No.
I'm going to try it.
I can't try it.
You're going to concoct.
I'm saying that's a bet.
My scam is better than that scam.
My scam easily makes.
That one's very.
And mine's doable because anybody's going to come up with a thousand or
900, $1,200, $1,300.
I like the numbers.
I like the numbers.
Yeah, that's 100.
And that's nothing.
Like, you could easily make
$200,000 or $300,000 easily.
Oh, listen, I got way better scams than that that are way easier than that.
I'm just saying based on this, that's a similar scam that would easily work and actually
yield a ton of money.
I feel bad enough than I felt.
You don't want to compare it.
Yeah, I wouldn't try that.
That's best beneath me.
You don't want to compare scams for it.
Even though I'm retired.
You don't want to start.
I actually brought a notebook.
Hey, what did your video bring in?
Your, your video.
You're going to do the outro?
We got to do the outro?
This is all intro.
This is all part of the...
We're still in the meat and potatoes.
What?
Yeah.
How much did...
How much did...
How much did not money?
I'm sorry.
How much...
$290...
Still getting...
What did Zax bring in?
What did Zax?
Make...
Four million of things?
Let's find Zach's story.
Yes.
I know I watch Zach's story
daily.
It's full story.
Let's see what Zach's brought in.
193.
Oh, my God.
They're still coming.
We need to continue, Zachson.
We got two, wait, we got $2.90 compared to one.
One ninety three years ago.
That's a little embarrassing.
No, they just don't fully understand.
No, you know what it was too?
Really, in a way, it might be embarrassing the other way.
Because we probably only had 50,000 subs back then.
like we didn't have nearly that
your story didn't get nearly
the exposure that Six's
story got. That's why I
want to, after you do your
well like in December or January
I kind of going to redo it because we stopped
Zach's at when he got arrested.
He gets arrested at the airport and that's it.
So we don't know anything from prison on.
Well, I got to do that.
Yeah. And I got to go back
to the old videos because you did the renting car
scan. He did you did all these different
individual videos.
that I kind of know
they fit somewhere
within the timeline
but they weren't told
on that other five
Oh yeah
You could build a whole huge thing
So build like a whole thing
Because I think
I think retelling it
You probably wouldn't get
That same reaction
That like you know
The first time you guys sat down
The only thing is
It's not as quality as this
Oh this is high quality
I mean
It's better than
This is so yes
It used to be
Yeah
The white walls fuzzy
These lives probably weren't
Yeah we had a different
Different switcher
We didn't have
all the equipment we have it that's a shitty version yeah it's not yeah this is it you got the
benefit of a lot of it that's like the 90 years got two 90 it's only been like a month that
two months we didn't even uh yeah I get a lot of um traffic on six gear is that way you keep in that
shameless plug sameless no that's on my Instagram I am not the type to shamelessly plug
six gear I wouldn't come on someone else
This platform.
Listen, and I get where you guys are coming from.
I will not, even though 6th Gear is a great place where you will find fun, entertaining stuff on there.
But yeah, I'm not that guy.
What about the channel?
Have you started your channel?
Yep.
So I rebranded Six, The Crime Chronicles.
I started on, I actually got some videos made that I'm getting with a really good.
editor and he's going to take a look at what I got and walk me through some stuff
but I've got some good footage coming up soon six gear I got another
comparison for you all right so you both you guys did 48 loss power
Zach did 74,000 six did 30,000 but we did have did even thumbnail for
Zach and that was after following a video they got 800,000
What they are.
Because the people clearly love that.
It was a diddy.
Yeah, he was riding the diddy waves out.
No diddy.
No diddy.
No diggedy.
No.
That's a different diddy.
Yeah, you're right.
Is that, are we?
I mean, yeah, I think this is good.
Did you all like this?
Did you?
I mean, I love the, the fact that you were, you were a hair's breath.
Is it a hair's breath away from sending?
Is that a saying?
A hairs.
I don't, I don't.
No.
And I wasn't going to send him the money.
I wanted to know what the scam was.
That was his thing.
He wanted, he's like, what is his end game?
He was like, what is the purpose of it?
And because he couldn't see the purpose, he thought that there was something.
By the way, a hair's breath is a thing.
When did they start that in the 30s?
Probably.
A hair's breath.
Was that a horse thing?
Your hair's breath away from Omaha.
What is it?
You escaped death by a hair.
breath. What does a hair's breath mean a very small distance or amount? Very close. Well, I don't know
what its origins are, but I'll look it up later. On your own time. Yeah. Sorry. I will check it out
on origins. I bought a phone and everything. Are you, oh, he was, he was, bro, you don't see all this
paperwork? Oh, God, 15s. It's the 1500s. Wow. As a, as a, as a, as a, you. As a, you
unit of measure that was equal to one,
148th of an inch.
You were young then.
You were a baby.
Okay.
So, yeah, I see you.
I see.
You were close.
You had a file.
You bought a phone.
I'm sure, boy, you must have been thinking,
I'm finally going to be able to pay off that restitution.
Once he becomes a million,
I thought,
I swear I thought I was going to.
I was a dreaming millionaire.
That's what hurts the most about it.
One of these podcasts, what I might have to do is try to build, set up some of these
scams, have like three or four different scams that are going on.
And then it'll come on here, like, okay, let's call this guy.
Oh, yeah.
Let's do it.
I'm thoroughly embarrassed by that.
And that guy sucked.
I mean, just, this is Megrega.
He sucked.
I've seen one clip online.
He's talking to an Indian scammer, and he's wanted him to sit, like, don't send the money here, send it
here. He's like, sit here, like to the wrong place.
Oh, yeah. No, no.
What's it wrong with you?
He could sit. He could sit.
He like, what are you doing?
What are you doing?
Yeah.
All right.
Is that it?
No, I can throw this away now.
Can I do the outro?
I can do the outro.
Okay.
I'm going to throw this away now.
Crime Chronicles, six.
Oh, okay.
The crime chronicles.
Okay.
Sorry.
The crime chronicles.
