The disappointment in Eli's eyes really got me that time. Oh yeah. Yeah. Before we dive back in, Zakiya has a phenomenal recap for us. Buckle up. Whew. This is what's left of Vivian Acker. And we are maybe a few days away from putting this whole thing to bed. We found out why Orpheus had to die, why Cross was so obsessed with erasing radio-free death from existence, and why radio-free death was so obsessed with getting all of us to Chicago in the first place. So Project Flatline, here we go. The NSA was interested in using ghosts as another method

of surveillance, so 12 people on death row are coerced into experimentation. It works, and they project right out of their cells permanently. It costs them their bodies. It also costs us a huge tear between worlds, releasing the most fuck-ass creatures we've never seen, which clearly is a bigger cost, but they didn't seem so pressed about it, and low key neither do we. Terrence Green, aka Radio Free Death, and his team Brain Cell Grace are being used to draw a cross out as bait. Nikoa's vision and some other efforts took us to a barn in Minooka, Illinois, and even though it seems like it'll be a time, you know, the whole flames, jacket, boom kind of scenario,

the group doesn't think that we'll be able to kill him. If we can get a confession to Collette's FBI guy, Gibson, then maybe we'll have something. I just want to say one quick thing if all I have after this is a thorough recording trying to make sure this shit still works. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I do care about everyone else's plus ones or whatever. They're their families. They're families. But Ajax is the only reason I'm still here, I think. And if anything happened to them, I don't know if I could keep this up. Gaws included. I was eventually

going to tell them that Cross reached out. I was. I just, I just... They volunteered to help me find a way to talk to them again, Ajax. But I was different when they asked that. So, we pick up with Viv having just terminated that phone call with Cross, and I'm assuming making their way back to the hotel to the others to discuss a way ahead. So, Menuka, Illinois.

That's where we're going. That's where the barn is. And all this nonsense, I've forgotten where we are. We are in the cut of Chicago, I think, in Radio Free Death's hideout. All right, so we're in Illinois. We're a drive away. Yeah. And we have the confession, not confession, but like the full Radio Free Death podcast, essentially. How important is it that we get this confession from Cross?

I do think he's a man that likes to kind of bask in his own brilliance. If we just get him to talk about how he got here a little bit, that's got to be something. But if you're getting a general layout, you would know that the area is a farmhouse, a barn.

And when you zoom out, maybe about a quarter mile of a way is a water tower. Ooh. Good place for a sniper. Or for some reconnaissance. Is that tank full? If the fire gets too bad. The water tower. Yeah, is the water tower full?

Also, well, I mean, do we know if there's, looking at where the water tower is towards the barn, does it make it clear that there's a blind spot, like a far side of the barn that they wouldn't see? You could try to approach from maybe the north-northeast. It's gonna add some time.

I think I have to finish the part of the plan I said I do. I walk in with radio free death. We have sort of a blind spot if we need it. And I think just us walking past the sniper could be enough. So I could come with you then for the, and the second that we pop in, I go wisp and try to enthrall as many of them as I possibly can to give you a way out. They're following me, they're not following you. As long as they're under my spell,

they won't want to affect me, harm me, they'll want to follow. I just have to hope that on the other side they fall for it. So I could go with you. You see, again, you see a young woman, possibly in her early 20s, strapped to a chair, wearing a vest and the floor beneath her explodes. You see flashes of gunfire from a water tower. You see that same water tower explode, peppering the area with shrapnel and with water as it pours out as it collapses. You see three men emptying their assault rifles into Lavinia, into Viv, into Terrence, into Grace. You see cameras. You see what almost looks like a camera's eye view overseeing the woman in the chair before the floor beneath her explodes. You see a piece of paper on a water tower saying,

smile, you're on camera. You see all of this and more. And perhaps at the very end, you see what looks like a dark, maybe olive green surface, maybe plastic, and you see front towards enemy. Is Cross in this mix? You see him behind the sniper rifle. Motherfucker. OK, is that is that all I assume?

I would say, yeah. I can go forward and back. Is there anything, if there's any, is there any way I can see some of their setup?
