Welcome to Meditation Mountain, and this guided meditation focused on expelling nervous energy.
Let's start by settling into a comfortable position, either seated or lying down.
Allow your body to fall naturally, letting your hands rest softly, and your shoulders drop away from your ears,
gently close your eyes or soften your gaze.
Begin by bringing your awareness to your breath.
There is nothing to change yet.
Just notice it.
Notice the natural rhythm, the gentle rise and fall.
With each inhale, feel the chest expand slightly.
With each exhale, feel the body soften.
Now take a slow, deep breath in through your nose.
Hold gently and exhale slowly through your mouth.
Let's repeat this together.
Inhale, two, three, four.
Hold, exhale, two, three, four.
Continue this pattern, gently allowing yourself the space,
to breathe deeply in this moment.
This signals your body to slow down,
helping your heart rate gently decrease.
As you breathe, bring your attention to any areas of tension
or nervous energy in your body.
Perhaps it's in your chest, your stomach, your hands, or your jaw.
Wherever you feel it,
Simply notice without judgment.
Now imagine that this nervous energy has a shape, color, or texture.
You don't need to force it.
Just let your mind create an image naturally.
As you inhale, imagine your breath reaching this area.
And as you exhale, imagine that energy loosening,
softening and beginning to move.
Each breath out is a gentle release.
Inhale.
Bringing awareness and space.
Exhale.
Releasing and letting go.
If your mind wanders, that's completely okay.
Gently guide it back to your breath.
And the sensation
of release. Now with each exhale, imagine that this nervous energy is leaving your body.
Perhaps it flows out as a mist or dissolves into the air or drains down into the ground beneath you.
There is no rush, just a steady, calm release. Feel your body becoming lighter.
your chest softening, your jaw unclenching, your hands relaxing.
Bring your attention now to your heart. Notice its rhythm without trying to control it.
Just observe. With each slow breath out, imagine your heart rate gently slowing,
becoming steady and calm.
quietly repeat after me.
I am safe.
I am calm.
My heart can relax.
Let these words settle into you.
Take a few more slow, deep breaths.
Inhale through your nose and exhale slowly through your mouth.
Longer each time.
Allow yourself to keep the sense of softness
and ease. Notice how your body feels compared to when you began. There is nothing you need to do,
nowhere you need to go. In this moment, you are simply here, calm, grounded, and at ease.
When you're ready, gently bring awareness back to your surroundings.
