Meditation Mountain - Guided Meditation for Self Awareness ~ How To Become Self Aware
Episode Date: June 16, 202110 Minute guided meditation for self awareness. Learn how to become self aware through the use of guided meditation. A gentle journey of self awareness to help you lean into your true potential and ex...perience your life to the full. Self awareness is a trait we all need more of. Unlike many other positive traits we're going after, self awareness is a more neutral state. What that means is that it's neither positive or negative, it is instead a state of being that allows us to view ourselves exactly as we are in our own lives. Learning to become more self aware takes time, mostly because it's hard to see the full picture when we're the ones inside the frame. Guided meditation for self awareness, even something as short as 10 minutes can jump our minds forward in it's recognition of how we operate inside our own head. What this means is that the more self aware we become, the easier it is to progress and become even more self aware. Now many people will confuse being self aware with being "realistic". But self awareness doesn't mean that we have to stop being positive or optimistic. It simply means that we're trying to become more aware of ourselves in various situations, how we're acting, what we're thinking and how that impacts ourselves and those around us. You may think of self awareness as trying to become our higher self. That's a good way to look at it as it is only in reaching a greater level of self awareness that we can progress to become a higher or better version of ourselves. Self awareness therefore is the basis of all meditation. With that being the case it makes complete sense that we use guided meditation to increase our self awareness. Just 10 minutes per day of meditation can help us radically increase our levels of self awareness throughout the rest of our day. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Welcome to Meditation Mountain and today's meditation on self-awareness.
I invite you to get into a comfortable position and rest your eyes.
Let them slowly close as your vision goes dark,
knowing you are in a safe and comfortable place
where nothing can harm you and nothing will bother you.
Take a deep breath in and let your breathing guide you into relaxation.
breathe out and let go of any thoughts, feelings, or tensions in your mind and body.
Breathe in deeply again and feel a calming sensation, flow over your entire body.
Breathe out and send away anything that doesn't make you feel comfortable and relaxed.
Each breath you take will bring you further and further into comfortable relaxation.
deeper and deeper within your mind.
Most of the time, we are living on autopilot.
We do a lot of things subconsciously,
like breathing, blinking, driving, riding, eating, and so on.
Many times, we do not need to consciously do these things.
However, there are many things that we are not aware of that we should be.
Things that we should put in conscious effort to be aware of,
to understand, to control.
These are your thoughts, feelings, and breathing.
Being aware of your breathing helps you be in tune with your body and your health.
It keeps you grounded and present.
You have already begun to do so now.
Focus again on your deep breathing.
In through your nose, filling your lungs, and out through your mouth, emptying your chest.
Again in. Each breath brings you more and more comfort, just as they can and do every day.
Being aware of your breathing can calm your mind when you are in unpleasant situations.
Sometimes our minds and our feelings can get the best of us.
You can be aware of these as well.
As you sink further into relaxation, explore the darkness of your mind for any thoughts that come up.
They could be about anything, important or not, relative or not.
They swim through your mind, and you can sort through them,
fishing for the right ones in every situation.
Become aware of your thoughts so that they are always positive,
so they lift you up and don't bring you down or others down.
Do the same with your emotions.
Find where they spark in your heart.
Are they positive or negative?
Become aware of them so you can choose which wants to feel and embrace.
Anything less than love or happiness can be let go of.
Continue to breathe deeply as you are aware of your mind, body, and your heart.
Keep this awareness as you shift back to your consciousness.
Being aware of these things so you can live more deliberately and happily.
breathe in deeply and feel your body and mind start to awaken.
Pay attention to the thoughts coming through.
Breathe out and continue to be relaxed and comfortable.
With another breath in and out, allow yourself to wake up, fully aware of your mind,
body, spirit, and heart, and wake calmly.
Thank you for joining me today.
