Starting point is 00:00:10 Welcome to Meditation Mountain and this session, focusing on getting a good night's sleep. Get into a comfortable position and make sure nobody will disturb you for the duration of this session. Resting your head on the pillow and covering yourself with a blanket or a sheet. Become aware of how comfortable you already are in your bed. Close your eyes and notice the comfort behind the darkness of your eyelids. Breathe in deeply and imagine that above your head a gentle wave of relaxation is coming towards you. It graces the top of your head and makes you feel so relaxed instantly. This wave of relaxation releases any tension as it travels.
Starting point is 00:01:38 travels down your body, feel it relaxing your forehead, any worries or tension melt away. Your eyes are relaxed and you notice they're making tiny movements. This is the way that your body allows you to get even more relaxed. Now focusing on your nose, allow the air coming in and out. of your nose to relax you. Feel this relaxation spreading into your jaw, removing any tension you've ever held here. It travels down your neck, melting away this comfort and making you sleepy already. Feel this gentle sensation going to your shoulders, carrying with it, a deep, comforting feeling.
Starting point is 00:03:23 Breathe in very slowly. And when you breathe out, you get even more tired. Your breathing slows to the perfect rhythm for sleeping. Let's use this moment to take three gentle slow breaths. Your mind may be drifting to the dream world already. Just let this wave of relaxation. travel down the rest of your body, however slowly it needs to, all the way to your toes. By now, you are feeling very relaxed.
Starting point is 00:05:05 So let's relax the mind. By very slowly, taking five more, slow, gently breaths. This may seem slow or boring, but this is what you. makes you very tired and ready to drift off into a deep sleep. We want to gently fall away into a deeper and deeper peaceful mental state, making you feel comfortable and relaxed. Allow my voice to slowly fade as you drift off into the most restful sleep you've ever had. If you don't feel as tired as you feel you should right now, try to remember that this isn't about forcing yourself to sleep. This is about releasing the tension inside to allow yourself to drift off to sleep.
Starting point is 00:07:39 So with that in mind, be kind to yourself. Be gentle with your body. and peaceful with your mind. And let's take a full minute here to slow our breathing even more and relax our mind as much as possible. Well done for relaxing as much as possible and letting the tension in your mind and body melt away.
Starting point is 00:09:25 And as we come to the end of this meditation, be sure to keep this peace, keep this calm and know that you can tap into this whenever you need to to get a good night's sleep. Thank you for joining me. Sleep well.
