Starting point is 00:00:09 Welcome to Meditation Mountain and this meditation for pain relief. Before an appointment, let's say you are going to experience a procedure that is going to cause some sort of pain. What we can do instead of getting our nerves in a bunch is to divert the attention. Let's practice that now. Close your eyes and picture yourself. lying flat or in the most comfortable position that you can be in. You are going to take a breath in slowly and release the breath slowly. The next breath you take, you're going to fill your body with that oxygen. Fill your lungs with clean, purifying air.
Starting point is 00:01:26 and let every bit of it disperse inside of your body. This oxygen is going to empower your body to be protected. It is going to be your shield of protection. While you lie here in this state of calm, feel the pain you are feeling. Acknowledge the pain you are feeling. Feel how it feels in your muscles or in your bones, wherever the pain may be, and let that pain happen. Take a deep breath and direct the oxygen you breathe to the source of the pain.
Starting point is 00:03:10 You are going to direct the energy that you breathe in from the universe, directly to the pain in. your body, visualize your energy blasting the pain. For example, if you have pain in your knee, visualize warm, positive healing energy blasting into your pain. Your pain is black and purple and dark green and brown, very dark green, and brown, very dark colors surrounding your affected area this energy that you breathe in you now blast towards the pain and its color is silver and white and chrome and powerful and as it blasts into your pain all of the dark black purple and dark green and brown
Starting point is 00:05:13 turns into little tiny microscopic bits that start to break apart. You visualize your own body healing itself. You let the air you breathe in, wrap around the painful area, and pulverize the pain into tiny bits. Perhaps you begin to feel the healing energy right now, growing stronger and stronger. When you start to inhale this next time, direct your breath again to your pain.
Starting point is 00:06:45 And as you exhale, let yourself exhale the pain out of your body. You are focusing your energy all on relieving this pain from the inside. You are acknowledging that this pain does exist. You are acknowledging that it does hurt, but you are also acknowledging that you have what it takes to give your body what it needs to process the healing, to process the pain, and to move forward. You are putting a bullseye right on top of your pain. Directing the attention to the pain will not increase the pain. It will put you in control of your pain.
Starting point is 00:08:55 You know it is there, are acknowledging that it does hurt. You are also acknowledging that you have the power to make it hurt less. To make it hurt less. With this next breath, you are going to breathe in a strong stream of oxygen that is silver-colored, white-colored. It's very pure. This energy is going to smooth out the kinks that are causing the pain. Imagine that your pain is a bunch of squiggly lines written on a piece of paper, and you are simply taking those squiggly lines when you inhale,
Starting point is 00:10:37 and you are going to focus on straightening those lines out. You are going to work out the kinks with your mind. flatten those crumpled up pieces, so everything can flow smoothly. Perhaps you can begin to feel it and be pain-free. You've acknowledged the pain now. You are straightening out the pain. You are going to draw the negativity and pain out of your body. With every exhale, when you breathe in, you are taking in strong, purifying, cleansing breaths.
Starting point is 00:12:19 When you exhale, you are pushing out the pain, pushing out the negativity, and working out the kinks. For this next moment, sit and take in how. you feel you are going to feel a little tingling and you're going to feel a surge of energy going through your body this is the universal energy that is all around us all the time harness this energy to heal yourself. If you have chronic pain, you need to acknowledge the source of the pain. Acknowledge that this is an issue that you are working on, and hopefully you have a medical team, or are seeking help in another way. You are giving it all that you can give. You are
Starting point is 00:14:21 arming yourself with the power to heal from within. Each breath you breathe in, you are forcing pain and discomfort from your body. You are letting go of the tension. You cannot let pain have the power to control your life. you will wake feeling more in charge of your health and determined to live despite the pain. With this new thinking, begin to slowly open your eyes, knowing you have the power to help yourself. And this concludes our meditation for today. Thank you for joining me.
