Megalithic Marvels - Nazca Enigmas: the Lines, the Mummies &... the Slender Man

So in this episode, we are going to cover several of the strange mysteries associated with the incredible region of Nazca Peru, where all kind of anomalies can be found. Of course, we're going to talk about the world famous Nazca lions. But then I'm going to talk to you and show you footage of these 1,000-year-old mummies buried in these vaults that most people don't know exist. And while I was there on my last tour, I saw something crazy in one of the vaults. I may have made a discovery. Then we're also going to talk about these weird, strange NASCAR tridactal three-fingered mummies. Are they real? Are they fake?

I'm going to give you some thoughts on those. And then last but not least, I'm going to tell you about a crazy story that I just heard from my tour guide in NASCA when I asked her if she had ever. seen anything strange when she was around the NASCAR lines. It was an incredible time where I got to spend about two weeks with some of the most amazing people on the planet. It was a bunch of ancient history nerds geeking out and hanging out.

It was so incredible. And that's my favorite part about my tours is the relationships and the friendships I make. And I just want to give a shout out to everybody who came on this tour real quick because they're probably watching or listening. So we had Eric and Marty from Utah celebrating their 20th marriage anniversary on our tour. An incredible couple. Eric worked with the Forest Service in Utah. And he had some crazy stories to tell me and some amazing photos. of the incredible petroglyphs there.

We had Andrew and Jenny from California, another awesome married couple. We had brothers, Steve and Jerry, from California. They were cool. We had Ian from California. So California was represented well on this tour. We had Jacob from Indiana, an awesome guy. Then we had Sandra from Italy.

They were an incredible family. And so as you can see, we not only had a bunch of

Californians and a bunch of people from the down under region, but we had an entire family on the tour, which was really cool. So families, you can come together. And also we had all these mics on the tour. there was at least four mics, which was pretty funny. We had Dee and Carl from Ireland. I got to sit with them on the train to and from Machu Picchu, as well as on the plane to Kusco, amazing people who know so much about the legends of Ireland. It was really fascinating to get to know them. We had Aaron from New York.

Then we had Ken from Arizona. He was a cool guy. And it was fun to watch Ken eat cool. Kui for the first time. Kui is the Peruvian word for Guinea Pig and Ken is a metal worker so it was cool to get his perspective on the megalis.

Then we had a father and son who were there with us, Billy and Will from Illinois. Awesome guys. We had Ivan from Boston, Catherine from Ecuador who had seen so many cool ancient sites down there in South America so cool to talk to her.

We had my bro, Josh. Joshua from Kentucky, a young adult came all the way by himself. He was in his early 20s. He kept us laughing the entire tour. We had my friend Beck from Australia. She's been on like two or three of my other tours. So that's what I also love about these tours is we have so many repeat friends of mine who have been on one tour who come on a second tour and a third tour.

So a couple years in, I've got all these friends I'm seeing again. Beck, you're amazing. Then we had Luis from Mexico. He joined us for the Easter Island portion of the tour. Such a cool guy. Loved seeing him. And then we had my friend Matthias from Germany who came with me on a tour to Peru a few years ago. Who hadn't been to Easter Island and came for just that portion as well.

So again, such a cool thing to hang out with a friend from before. So I really hope that I didn't forget anybody. I hope I hope. but thank you all for signing up for the tour. It was a privilege to get to spend a couple weeks with you guys and get to know you, hear your stories, and you made this trip one of the best, truly, that I've ever led. I would put this group in one of my top three groups

as far as just team unity, everybody getting along, no problems. It was the adventure of a lifetime. So this entire spring tour that we just got back from started with what we call the pre-tour which starts in Nazca and the Paracas region of Peru along the coast there the Pacific coast and so people have the option if they want to go to

the pre-tour, which is an added cost, and it's like four extra days before the main tour starts in Lima. And so about 15 of us took the bus ride several hours down along the coast. It's a beautiful drive to one of the most mysterious regions on the planet to the Paracas and Nazca region of Peru. And again, this is just a mysterious place. Again, not only do we have, the enigmatic world famous NASCAR lions. But we have these Chowchila Cemetery mummies. Then we have the highly controversial three-fingered, tridactal NASCA mummies that I'm going to discuss in a moment.

And then we have, of course, the enigmatic elongated skulls of Paracas found just a stone's throw from the NASCA lions, which I'll talk about. And then we have all these strange stories, tales, legends, and first-hand account eyewitness reports of the ones that I'm going to tell you about that I heard from my licensed tour guide that involves a NASCAR slenderman-like figurine that was recently witnessed around NASCA, which I've never heard about this from anywhere else,

so I'm excited to break it here. So let's dive into the NASCA lines for a few minutes here. because these are clearly the most mysterious geoglyphs known to man. And having just flown over them again, I can tell you that these things are virtually impossible to identify if you're just walking on the ground. They were made to be seen from hundreds, if not thousands of feet, up in the air.

The NASCAR lines were first brought to public awareness by pilots who began flying commercial plains over Peru in the 1930s. And these lines are located in the most desolate dry location on earth there in southern Peru, which received like less than one inch of rain per year. Imagine that. It's dry. It's desolate. And because of its isolation and this dry, windless, stable climate of the plateau, the lines, crazy enough, have been mostly naturally preserved. I've done a previous episode on the palpa geoglyphs, which were discovered not that long ago. go. And with drone technology and LIDAR, it seems again like more and more of these lines and figures are being identified. But one of the strangest of all these zoomomorphic type figurines or

images is what's some called the humanoid or the astronaut or L. Astronado, which has this large head and these large eyes. And again, just fascinating to see. from the plane way up there. And I wonder if this humanoid figurine, the astronaut, isn't supposed to be connected with some of these humanoid mummies or elongated skulls that we're going to talk about here in a few minutes. Now, while these figurines like the astronaut

and the animals, the spider, the hummingbird are amazing to see. My favorite variations of the lions are the, just that the lines, some of which go like miles upon miles long, and then the trapezoidal triangular shapes. I believe the longest one of those is like 1,200 feet in length as long as the Empire State Building. These are mind-blowing to see. Now, apparently, I heard that scientists from the University of Dresden

measured the magnetic field and found that it changes eight feet below the surface of many of the, the lines and they also discovered that the ability to conduct electrical current was 8,000 times higher on the lines. If this is true, to me it's a game changer. Now many of the figurines and the designs that you see are shallow lines that were made in the ground by removing the reddish pebbles and uncovering the whitish ground beneath. This is how many of the animal figurines were made. However, many of the lines and these massive triangle shapes, these things are a little bit different. Like some of these triangle shapes appear laser accurate in shape. And inside some of these

triangles, I've heard that the ground is literally tamped down about 24 inches throughout the entire shape. So a lot more went in to making these ones. And some of these lines and these these triangles are cut straight through mountainous outcroppings. Okay. So it's like they were leveling the tips of these little mountains to make the line continues. So again, some were made just by removing their reddish ground. Others, it appears that a whole lot more went in. to making them. Now, German mathematician and archaeologist Maria Reich stated that she found and believed that the NASCAR artists prepared preliminary drawings on these small six-foot square plots, which she said were still visible when she was around near many of the larger figures. What's more?

Researcher and author Anthony Avini, he documented how two-theworthy. He documented how two-thousy, thirds of the lines seem to follow channels of a highly advanced irrigation system which the NASCAR culture had produced. So very interesting. So when were the NASCAR lines made? Well, most seem to agree that they were made sometime between 500 BC and 500 AD. Although I wonder if these long lines and again the triangle variations aren't even older than 500 BC. Now when you start looking into some of the Incan legends, you find out that they associate the creator god Vericocha with commissioning the Nazca lions and geoglyphs in the ancient past. Now I personally believe based on my research that the Nazca lions appear to have

been created by at least two different cultures. Maybe more, but at least two. One, obviously, by the NASCAR culture. I think these guys made the spider figurines, again, the hummingbird, the astronaut figurines. But I believe that prior to the NASCA culture, the mysterious paracus culture who predated them, who possessed the enigmatic natural, elongated skulls, I believe they likely made the older, oldest Nazca lines. And I'm talking about the triangles and the lines that extend for miles that cut through mountainous outcroppings. So when talking about all these mysteries of Nazca, including some of the strange three-fingered tridactals and other mummies and this slender man account that I'm going to get into, again, I think

it's important for context when we're talking about the NASCAR lines to be reminded that the oldest lines were likely made by these mysterious what I call hybrid humanoids who had the natural elongated skulls. And just a quick review in the 1920s Peruvian archaeologist first began to discover tombs in the Paracas region. Again, a stones throw from Nazca with skeletons that possessed some of the largest elongated skulls on earth. And since then, countless more have been discovered, and most of them date to like a thousand to three thousand years old. Skeptics always cry, well, those are just the result of cradle headboarding.

And like I always say, yes, there's cradle headboarded schools found all over the world in Peru, in Pirocass. But that was just the general population trying to appear like, their ruling elite who possessed the natural elongated skulls. And if you're watching by video, you're going to see a side-by-side comparison there of a human normal skull that's been cradle headboarded to look like the natural humanoid skull on the left, which has at least 25% more cranial mass. These natural elongated skulls also have larger jaw bones,

eye sockets. They're often missing the sagittal suture lines. Many of them, again, have a cranial volume 25% larger than the normal human skulls. Some have up to 40% more cranial mass. And some appear to have up to 40% more cranial mass like the Changos skull here in the Eco Museum, which I got to see. I felt so spoiled on this last tour. When we were visiting this museum, I got to be in this part of the museum all by myself. Just me and the elongated skulls. It was so incredible to see them again. And again, if you're watching this by video, you are seeing fresh 4K video straight from my brand new iPhone hot off the press. you're seeing it for the first time.

And it's also worth noting that on many of these naturally elongated schools, guess what you find in the very back, if you can get a look at the back of the school, which is sometimes hard to do in these museums. There are two tiny holes side by side in the very back tip of their heads. What does this mean? Well, likely, when they were alive, there was some kind of fleshy tubes protruding out these holes that may have been used for blood flow. So fascinating to consider the ramifications of this. Okay, before I talk about the NASCA Tredactamomomomies, for context, a reminder, here in the NASCAR

region, we have these huge, elongated, skulls humanoids with skulls that have at least 25% more cranial mass than conventional skulls, meaning they were born like this. Okay, cradle headboarding can change a shape. It cannot add magically 25 or 40% more mass. These were born like that. Also, we've found countless newborn specimens that were born with these huge elongated skulls. Again, I say that because whether or not these tridactal mummies are fake or real, we already have these strange, humanoid, real elongated skull mummies near NASCA. All right, let's talk about the three-fingered NASCAR mummies. These things are highly controversial.

Many believe they're just total fakes and forgeries. And I'm going to get to that in just a minute. Now, many of these so-called three-fingered mummies have been discovered, but the first one was brought to public awareness, I believe in 2017, by I think it's Jaime Misan, an investigative journalist from Mexico. And this first three-fingered mummy, I think they've given it the name Maria. And this specimen was a female dated at 1800 years old. Her body was like five foot, six inches.

tall and Maria as they call her as you can see featured three digits on her hands and her feet and scans and x-rays showed the presence of joints inside the body was well preserved with visible skin it even had partially visible fingerprints on the hands and feet it didn't have any hair it had no ear flaps it seemed to have a little bit of a little bit of a elongated skull. So this Maria specimen was the first one brought to public awareness. I remember writing a blog article about it in 2017. It was all the news and the rage. And then interest kind of faded away. And then just on the last two years, several more have been apparently discovered. And so everybody was talking about the three-fingered mummies again. And most have concluded that they believe

they are fakes. And I do agree that most of them to my eye, and from what I've read and studied, do appear to be fakes, especially these smaller ones that really have this like ET looking head and neck that extends out. They really look fake to me. But again, I'm a guy that always tries to keep an open mind. I've done a couple interviews with other researchers who have who have really looked into this more than I have. But where I land on this is that if some of them are fakes, does that make all of them fakes? It's important to point out that some very smart people, scientists, and doctors who have researched these up close, touched them, touch them, scan them, they think some of these are real.

And one of these people was the lead scientist examining Maria's case, and that was a doctor, Constantine Korotkov, if I'm pronouncing that right, he's a professor at St. Petersburg University. And he asserted that Marie's features were not a deformity, but the individual was, quote, another creature, another humanoid, end quote. So interesting to have a doctor saying this. So when I read what some of these scientists, like that guy wrote, and I see some of these x-rays and body scans, of like the Maria specimen. It leaves me to wonder if there may not have been a few originals that were not fakes.

And then the grave robbers saw this and they had the idea, let's make a bunch of fake ones and sell them. And that's how this kind of thing snowballed out of control. But I would encourage all of you to visit tridactals.org if you want to see for yourself the scans and x-rays of these specimens. And again, seeing this website is really kind of what's kept my mind open a little bit to the possibility that maybe not all of them are fakes. That's tridactals.org, t-r-I-D-A-C-Y-L-S dot org.

Whoever put this website together did a great job of breaking down all the different specimens by their names and showing you not just photographs of them with their skin, but showing you the body scans and the insides of each specimen. So again, in the context of knowing that we do already have humanoids near Nazca with these natural elongated skulls, plus the fact of these other strange mummies I'm about to tell you about, that's why I keep the door open in my mind to maybe not all. of the tridactals are forgeries. But I would like to know what you think. Do you think the three-fingered Nazca mummies are all fakes? Do you think they're mostly real? Or do you think like me that

But regardless of the three-fingered Nazca mummies, let's talk about the Chauchila cemetery mummies of NASCAR because these guys are wild. Now driving around NASCA is like an alien landscape. It's literally so desolate. It boggles the mind to think that anybody at any time could have lived here. And there is this long, lonely dirt road that steers off the highway from NASCA that takes you to what's called the Chaochila Cemetery.

And it takes you straight into these low hills. across what looks like, again, a lunar landscape. And it's, again, hard to imagine anyone living here in this inhospitable desolation. And when you get to the road's end and you park at the bus, you walk along these footpaths at the Chowchila Cemetery that guide you to several sub-trainian vaults that you look down into. Now, the vaults are all covered, thank God, by a canopy to shade you from the severe sun, But hidden deep down below the ground inside these pits are not just artifacts, but mummies.

We're talking 1,000-plus year-old mummies left behind from a bygone age, likely from the mysterious Nazca culture that flourished in the region anywhere from 200 BC. That would be kind of the earliest date. Some give it to as late as 800 AD. Now these vaults or pits were made of bricks and they were covered over a millennia with sand. And the Nazca culture, as you can see if you're watching by video, they wrapped the dead loved ones deceased in these finely embroidered cotton cloth wraps before coating them with a resin and placing them into the pits in this crouched like position. Now, grave offerings and artifacts were often stored beside the mummies, possibly in anticipation of their needs in the next realm or in the next life. But the resin and the textiles and the aridness of the climate basically kept out the insects while also limiting bacteria, which therefore slowed the decaying process.

and then you add in this incredibly hot climate in this arid soil, and it created this perfect environment suitable for natural mummification. So when you visit the cemetery today like I did literally three or four weeks ago, you see these bleached white skeletons, many still with these incredibly long dreadlocks, crouched upright sitting on the floor of their, ancient tombs literally staring up at you with incredibly creepy-like grins. It is very strange. So this Chowchila Cemetery is a silent testimony to the ancient Nazca civilization.

Now, this cemetery was forgotten for ages and was really only rediscovered in the 1920s, but sadly it was severely plundered by hua caros that means grave robbers and they literally left human bones and pottery scattered all over the area so it's wild as you're walking along these paths to look over to your left and you'll literally see like a femur bone from a human just hanging out there or you'll look over here and you clearly see you know wrist bones or something going on. There is mangled bones scattered everywhere. Now it's crazy how these mummies, again many that are a thousand plus years old, when

you kind of learn about the culture, they only had about a 50 year max lifespan, which is wild to consider. And this was due to a lack of water and poor nutrition or malnutrition. And all the mummies sitting in these pits, they all face east toward the sunrise. Very interesting. Also found in many of the tombs was obviously pottery, but I heard also silver gold and a golden mask was found in one of the pits on one of the shaman mummies. But there is something else that may have been discovered here at the Chalchila Cemetery that I find fascinating.

And I say discovered loosely because this is something that I, our tour guide last year when I visited the cemetery noticed and some others that were with us so I can't take sole credit for this. But what we saw in one of the pits raised our eyebrows. And I'm going to tell you what it was in a second, but I need to point out that when I was there this year, literally three, four weeks ago, I couldn't find it. It's like it had been disappeared, if you know what I'm saying. sang and that may possibly be because I made a short film or real about this on my Instagram and YouTube oh six or seven months ago but last year when I was here at the cemetery and others in my group when we looked down in this pit what we saw appeared to be a three-fingered hand mummified hand emerging up out of the sand and if you're

watching by way of video please take a look and let me know leave a comment tell me if this looks like a three-fingered mummified hand again nasca is a mysterious place we've got the nasca lines elongated skulls we've got all the supposed three-fingered nasca mummies we've got these chowchila cemetery mummies and now might we actually have a three-fingered mummified hand poking out of the sands of time. If it's real, if it was a genuine three-fingered hand, to me, that definitely would give credibility to the whole three-fingered NASCAR tridactal mummy story going on. So now you know all about the mysterious Chalchila Nazca Cemetery Mummies, which brings us to the conclusion of this episode, I want to talk to you about the NASCA Slender Man, because I've never heard about this anywhere else, and this is the first time I'm ever documenting it in this episode. So while I was in NASCA just a few weeks ago, I was having a conversation with my tour guide, Rosa, who is a licensed tour guide with the country of Peru, with the Ministry of Antiquities there. And I asked Rosa, I said, Have you ever seen anything strange while out around the NASCAR lines?

Now when I asked Rosa this question, I saw her eyes brighten a little bit. And then she proceeded to tell me the following story. She shared that a few years ago she was traveling by bus with her daughter. They were on a long desert route by bus that took them straight through the Nasska, NASCAR lines along what's known as the Pan American Highway. It cuts right through them. Now, as the bus was passing by the large viewing tower, Rosa looked out to the left over the lines and was surprised at what she saw next. She saw someone walking on foot across the lines. Now her first thought was, why is someone out there in the blazing heat all alone walking over the Nazca lines when everybody knows this is very illegal?

Rosa stared closer in disbelief. As she focused her eyes, she could see that he was walking towards the road. Now, this man appeared to be very thin, yet tall and he was walking. with very long strides and he possessed very long arms. But it gets stranger. Rosa describes how she was shocked to realize that the man stood approximately three meters tall. We're talking almost 10 feet tall. What's more?

Rosa said it appeared that he had brown, shiny skin. Rosa says that she reached over. to her daughter in a hurry and told her, look out the window to see the man. And upon seeing the man, she says that her daughter exclaimed, quote, it's an alien. Rosa shared how the man was about the distance of one block away from the bus and that she was able to watch him for about 40 seconds total, until a hill eventually covered her view. So very, very interesting. Again, I wouldn't share this story

if it wasn't coming from Rosa, a licensed tour guide whom I got to know, who grew up in the shadow of the NASCAR lines, who's a licensed tour guide, who studied them extensively, and who has seen all kinds of other anomalies, including orbs and greenish lights over the lines. So to me this is very, very interesting in a region that's so strange.

We already have the infamous Nazca lines. We have the elongated skulls. We have the Chowchila Cemetery mummies, a thousand plus years old. We've got possible three-fingered Nazca mummies. Yes, many are fake. but are some of them real? And in the cemetery, like I showed you,

we may have a mummified finger emerging from the sand with three fingers. And now we have this story of the Nazca Slender Man. I would love to know what you think of the Nazca Slender Man story.
