Starting point is 00:00:02 Stargate Voyager. So what is all of this news about declassified CIA documents that reveal in the 1980s that the CIA conducted an experiment as part of a secret project called Sunstreak, which aimed to locate the lost Ark of the Covenant using remote viewing techniques? So we're going to get into this episode on what was the Ark of the Covenant exactly, and what is this remote viewing all about? But first, being that we are talking about the Ark of the Covenant, the most famous artifact of the Bible, this is a perfect opportunity for me to plug an upcoming tour that's happening in March of 2006,

Go to Stargatevoyager.com slash tours and use code Stargate 1 to get this great discount. So within the last week or so, many major news outlets have been breaking down the news of this declassified CIA document.
Starting point is 00:02:39 Again, it reveals that in 1988, the CIA conducted an experiment as part of a secret project called Sunstreak, which aimed to locate the fabled arc of the covenant using remote viewing techniques. And in one of these experiments, a person identified as remote viewer number 32 was tasked with finding an unknown target, which supposedly ended up being the arc of the covenant. So in this document, remote viewer number 32 goes in quite a bit of detail about what this arc looked like, kind of where they saw it, and even some entities that they apparently saw as well. So in a few minutes, I'm going to read for you verbatim straight out of this declassified CIA document. But first, I want to peel back the onion on exactly what this remote viewing is and actually what this project was all about called Project Stargate. Interesting name, by the way. Again, and then I'll read for you straight from this declassified document about what the remote viewer saw.
Starting point is 00:03:47 And then we're going to end talking about the arc of the covenant. the most famous artifact in Bible lore. And I'm going to kind of break down what the Bible says about it, where it came from, everything you need to know about it. And then we'll talk about what might have happened to it. All right. So let's talk about Project Stargate. Now the Stargate Project was a classified U.S. military and intelligence program
Starting point is 00:04:18 that investigated psychic phenomena. particularly what's called remote viewing. And so this was a means of gathering intelligence. So this project Stargate, from what I've gathered, ran from the 1970s until 1995, before it was basically declassified and ended as a program. I've also learned that there was some forerunners of this project Stargate that were before the 70s.
Starting point is 00:04:47 And these forerunner projects were called Project Sun Street, There was one called Grill Flame and another one called Gondola Wish. And apparently these were eventually consolidated into the larger project Stargate, which was ran out of Fort Meade in Maryland. So this program was initiated during the Cold War, largely due to concerns that the Soviet Union was researching parapsychology and psychic espionage. The Stargate Project was funded and done in cooperation with the CIA, the U.S. Army, and the Defense Intelligence Agency, or the DIA. And again, its goal was to determine whether psychic abilities like remote viewing could be used for military and intelligence purposes. The program's primary focus was on this remote viewing, and their subjects were called remote viewers, who would attempt to describe places, objects, or even people at great distances away. Now, the most famous of these remote viewers
Starting point is 00:05:57 was, or maybe he's still alive, a guy named Joe McMahon Eagle, a retired U.S. Army officer. He was recruited into the U.S. military's Stargate Project in the 1970s due to his reported psychic abilities. Now, McMahon Eagle is also known as remote viewer number one. He's He was kind of the first and the best at it. And he was the first to do psychic phenomena experiments for the CIA. Now, McMahon Eagle received the Legion of Merit Award for apparently using remote viewing to identify a secret Russian warship that was being developed in a landlocked building during the Cold War. McMahon Eagle conducted over 450 remote viewing sessions from military intelligence.
Starting point is 00:06:53 And some of his most notable cases include describing Soviet submarine construction sites, locating a missing American general in Italy, and reporting details about a secret Soviet military installation. Now, by the 1990s, skepticism began to grow about the program's effectiveness. and the program began to be questioned. And the CIA commissioned a report from the American Institute for Research in 1995 that concluded that while some remote viewers had hits, the data was too inconsistent and unreliable for practical intelligence use. And then the program was shut down and declassified in 1995.
Starting point is 00:07:41 Now, as I researched into the government's previous remote viewing history in the Stargate project, a name that popped up a couple times was Ingo Swan. And this is one of the individuals that helped launch these psychic programs for the government. Ingo Swan. And he's kind of known as one of the pioneers of remote viewing. And he was born in 1933 and he ended up dying in 2013. And he served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War before working at the United Nations. So Swan had a lifelong interest in parapsychology, consciousness, and extrasensory perception, or ESP.
Starting point is 00:08:27 And eventually he becomes involved in this parapsychological research at Stanford Research Institute, or the SRI in the early 1970s, where he conducted clairvoyance and psychokoviance. Kinesis experiments. His claim to fame came after in 1973 he apparently physically influenced a magnetometer in a secure facility which caught the attention of the U.S. intelligence. And so his techniques began to be adopted by the U.S. government for this psychic espionage. And he began to train these military remote viewers including Joe McMahon Eagle. Now Swan's biggest claim to fame was that he did a remote view of the planet Jupiter April 27th, 1973. And this was before NASA's Pioneer 10 probe arrived. And so Swan basically described Jupiter's rings, which he later declared that the
Starting point is 00:09:35 NASA probe confirmed in 1979. So you've got believers that point to swans' remote viewing of Jupiter that claims see remote viewing works, and these same believers also point to McMahon Eagle's cases in the military, and they say see remote viewing works. But then again, you have the CIA's very owned commissioned report in 1995 that concluded that it was too inconsistent and unreliable to where they literally shut down the program and declassified it. So that brief background into Project Stargate and remote viewing will now lay the foundation
Starting point is 00:10:20 for reading this declassified 1988 CIA document regarding remote viewing and the arc of the covenant. And if you're watching this episode by way of YouTube or Spotify, you're going to see these literal screenshots from this declassified CIA document. The document itself is handwritten on. It's dated December 5th, 1988, or 88. But then the typed headline at the top says approved for release August 8th of 2000. Okay, so this happened again, December 5th, 1988, but it wasn't released or declassified
Starting point is 00:11:01 until August 8, 2000. And it's printed right at the top here, Project Sunstreak, Warning Notice, Intelligence Sources, and Methods involved. And as I scroll down here, you can see it says viewer identified number 32. So that was remote viewer number 32. It says mission. Access and describe the target identified by coordinate. And then it gives the coordinate 781410 slash 1110121. And then you scroll down to the comments.
Starting point is 00:11:35 It says training target number 0209 is the Ark of the Covenant. And then it says evaluation. Viewer number 32 attained excellent site contact, doing very well with stage 4 structure. Viewer also exhibits the ability to keep AOL to a minimum. Have to be careful with editing, though. This does not seem to be a problem at this time, just something to watch for. And then it's signed by somebody. So whoever was writing this was the superior to remote viewer number 32.
Starting point is 00:12:11 So then when you scroll down here to session summary, it says viewer number 32 date December 5th, 1988. And again, what I'm about to read you here, I believe, is what the remote viewer number 32 actually inputted here into this document regarding what they saw. And so again, this is referring to the Ark of the Covenant. I'm now going to read straight from this document, which states the following. Quote, Target is a container. This container has another container inside of it. The target is fashioned of wood, gold, and silver. The target is similar in shape to, and then it has in parentheses AOL, a coffin, and is decorated with seraphim.
Starting point is 00:12:57 And then it says, see sketch page 16. and I'll show you those sketches in a minute. It continues. Quote, this target is located somewhere in the Middle East, as the language spoken by individuals present seem to be Arabic. Visuals of surrounding buildings indicated the presence of mosque domes, question mark. See page 12 sketch. Individuals in the area were clothed in virtually all white,
Starting point is 00:13:25 had black hair and dark eyes. One figure I homed in on. wore a mustache. The target is hidden, underground, dark, and wet were all aspects of the location of the target. It continues, quote, the purpose of the target is to bring a people together. See page 16 in parentheses, it says. It has something to do with ceremony, memory, homage, the resurrection. There is an aspect of spirituality, information, lessons, and historical knowledge far beyond what we now know. The target is protected by entities, see page 14,
Starting point is 00:14:05 and can only be opened now, in parentheses, by those who are authorized to do so. This container will not, cannot be opened until the time is deemed correct. Once it is time to open the container, the mechanics of the lock system will be found to be fairly simple. Individuals opening the container
Starting point is 00:14:26 by prying or striking are destroyed by the container's protectors. See page 17, through the use of a power unknown to us, end quote. So as I continue to scroll here through this document, you can see there's all kinds of writing, really kind of scribbled by hand. Some of it's hard to read, but you can make out some words like cold, sound, wind. It's like they were just making notes as they tried to view this.
Starting point is 00:14:56 But then you keep scrolling and you get to some of these sketches. And I think it's page four here. At least it says that in the corner. There's this sketch of what looks like some kind of arc shape to lines on a left and right, like a square. And then there's like a lid over the top, a curved lid. Another sketch here looks like it's the inside wall of the arc like wood layers. Another sketch looks like it might be decorative molding.
Starting point is 00:15:26 on the top of the arc. In another sketch, you see what looks like a mosque, and it literally says mosque dome, and it's kind of pointing at this structure, and then another thing says windows, and they've drawn windows on this structure. So this probably has something to do with why they thought this was in the Middle East, because they said they saw mosques and stuff like that. Another sketch shows what looks like a winged feathered eagle, or maybe they're trying to describe the cherubim here and it's an arrow pointing at it and it says seradin almost like they were trying to spell a cherubum or something another sketch shows what looks like a wheel and it says altered something i can't really make it what the words say but then the last sketch shows basically a rectangle with several
Starting point is 00:16:20 stickmen inside of it there's an arrow pointing at it and underneath the arrow it says mummies. It also says people next to it and then it says AOL break coffins, I believe. Unfortunately, whoever remote viewer number 32 was, they certainly did not know how to spell that well or write that well because it's really hard to make out what they're trying to say here. So again, that was the apparent remote viewing by remote viewer number 32 on December 5th, 1988, who was tasked with identifying a target that unbeknownst to them ended up being the storied Ark of the Covenant, according to what this document says.
Starting point is 00:17:09 Now, more importantly, let's get into what the Ark of the Covenant was, because the Ark of the Covenant remains one of the most fascinating biblical artifacts that basically symbolized God's power, God's holiness, and really the covenant he had with his people. When we look into the Old Testament part of the Bible, we see that the Ark of the Covenant was considered this sacred object. It was like this divine vessel that housed the Ten Commandments, and it basically represented God's presence among the Israelites.
Starting point is 00:17:51 So in Exodus chapter 25, verses 10 through 22, this is where we kind of start first hearing about the arc of the covenant and god told moses exactly how he wanted this ark to be built so god gave moses his instructions on its blueprint its template exactly what it was supposed to be like and i'm paraphrasing here but basically it was supposed to be made of acacia wood overlaid with gold and it measured approximately like four feet long, two and a half feet wide, I believe, and two and a half feet high. The lid was also called the Mercy Seat, and it was adorned with these two golden cherubim that were facing each other.
Starting point is 00:18:39 And cherubim are basically a type or a special class of angels. So again, inside the Ark of the Covenant were the infamous Ten Commandments, the stone tablets on which God wrote his law. and gave them to Moses. You can look up Deuteron and be 10.5 for that. Also in the Ark of the Covenant was Moses' brother Aaron's rod or his wooden staff that he used, and it actually miraculously budded or bloomed and even sprouted leaves. And you can read Numbers Chapter 1710, I believe, for that.
Starting point is 00:19:17 And then Hebrews 9-4 tells us that also in the ark was a golden gem. jar of manna. So again, the Ark of the Covenant symbolized God's presence and power. It symbolized God's covenant with Israel and his presence among the people. And the ark was kept in what was called the Holy of Holies inside the tabernacle and then later in the temple that Solomon built. But until Solomon built that temple, Israel basically traveled around with a mobile temple called the tabernacle that they would set up and move wherever they went. And inside this tabernacle in the most holy place, the holy of holies, was this ark. And only the high priest could approach it once a year on what was called the Day of Atonement
Starting point is 00:20:12 on Yom Kippur. Now, when a lot of people think of the Ark of the Covenant, they think of the great film, Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, because in that movie they portrayed all these incredible powers associated with the ark. But even when we read the Bible, so many crazy things happened with this ark of the covenant. In 2 Samuel chapter 6, there is the story of the death of Uza. And Uza was a guy that was helping to transport. the ark and one of the laws that God gave with the ark is that no one was ever to touch it. That's why it had to have these long poles underneath it and only, I believe it was the
Starting point is 00:21:00 priests could carry the poles. But this guy, Uza, for whatever reason, touches the ark and he's basically struck dead. And again, you can read about that in 2 Samuel 6. And then you have the great Bible story of the destruction of Jericho and Jocchio. Joshua chapter 6, where the Israelites are moving into what they call the promised land. But here is this epic city, this megalithic city with megalithic gates called Jericho that was said to be impossible to defeat. But God told Israel to walk around it for seven days with the Ark of the Covenant.
Starting point is 00:21:43 And when you read the story in Joshua 6 on the last and final day when they say, sound these trumpets, the walls collapse and fall to the ground. And then we have this interesting story that I thought I would read for you straight out of Joshua chapter 3, verses 14 through 17, says this, quote, So when the people broke camp to cross the Jordan, the priests carrying the ark of the covenant went ahead of them. Now the Jordan is at flood stage all during harvest. Yet as soon as the priests who carried the ark reached the Jordan and their feet touched the water's edge, the water from upstream stopped flowing. It piled up in a heap a great distance away at a town called Adam in the vicinity of Xerathan, while the water flowing down to the sea of Arabo, that is the dead sea, was completely cut off. So the people crossed over opposite Jericho.
Starting point is 00:22:44 The priests who carried the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord stopped in the middle of the Jordan and stood on dry ground, while all Israel passed by until the whole nation had completed the crossing on dry ground. Now, the most sensational things that seem to happen with the Ark of the Covenant are when we read in the book of the Bible in 1st Samuel chapter 4. So let me read straight out of this because this is wild. It reads, quote, at that time Israel was at war with the Philistines.
Starting point is 00:23:19 The Israelite army was camped near Ebenezer and the Philistines were at Afec. The Philistines attacked and defeated the army of Israel, killing 4,000 men. After the battle was over, the troops retreated to their camp and the elders of Israel asked, Why did the Lord allow us to be defeated by the Philistines? Then they said, let's bring the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord from Shiloh. If we carry it into battle with us, it will save us from our enemies. So they sent men to Shiloh to bring the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord of Heaven's armies, who is enthroned between the Cherubim.
Starting point is 00:23:59 Hoffney and Phineas, the sons of Eli, were also there with the Ark of the Covenant of God. When all the Israelites saw the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord coming in their camp. Their shout of joy was so loud, it made the ground shake. What's going on? The Philistines asked. What's all the shouting about in the Hebrew camp? When they were told it was because the Ark of the Lord had arrived, they panicked. The gods have come into their camp, they cried. This is a disaster. We have never had to face anything like this before. Help. Who can save us from these mighty gods, of Israel. They are the same gods who destroyed the Egyptians with plagues when Israel was in the wilderness. Fight as never before, Philistines. If you don't, we will become the Hebrew slaves
Starting point is 00:24:53 just as they have been ours. Stand up like men and fight. So the Philistines fought desperately and Israel was defeated again. The slaughter was great. 30,000 Israelite soldiers died that day. The survivors turned and fled to their tents. The Ark of God was captured, and Hoffney and Phineas, the two sons of Eli, were killed. Okay, so these two great superpowers of the ancient world, Israel and the Philistines are facing off with their armies. Israel goes and gets their Ark of the Covenant, and they are rallied to go to war and beat these Philistines. And the Philistines are freaked out because they've heard the stories of what Israel has already done. And so they were like, we've got to fight like we've never fought before.
Starting point is 00:25:47 The Philistines not only win the battle, but they capture the Ark of the Covenant. And they kill the two sons here of Eli, the priest. So Israel is feeling, you can say, pretty defeated. So what I just read was in 1 Samuel 4. Now let's jump to the next chapter where it gets even strange. once the Philistines get this Ark of the Covenant in their towns. Chapter 5 verse 1 reads, quote, After the Philistines captured the Ark of God,
Starting point is 00:26:19 they took it from the battleground at Ebenezer to the town of Ashdod. They carried the Ark of God into the temple of Dagon and placed it beside an idol of Dagon. But when the citizens of Ashdod went to seed in the morning, Dagon had fallen with his who. face to the ground in front of the ark of the Lord. So they took Dagon and put him in his place again. But the next morning, the same thing happened. Dagon had fallen face down before the ark of the Lord again. This time his head and hands had broken off and were lying in the doorway.
Starting point is 00:26:56 Only the trunk of his body was left intact. That is why to this day neither the priest of Dagon nor anyone who enters the temple of Dagon, and Ashdod will step on its threshold. Verse 6. Then the Lord's heavy hands struck the people of Ashdod and the nearby villages with a plague of tumors. When the people realized what was happening, they cried out, We can't keep the Ark of God of Israel here any longer. He is against us. We will all be destroyed along with Dagon, our God.
Starting point is 00:27:29 So they called together the rulers of the Philistine towns and Acts. what should we do with the Ark of God in Israel? The rulers discussed it and replied, Move it to the town of Gath. So they moved the Ark of God of Israel to Gaff. But when the Ark arrived at Gath, the Lord's heavy hand fell on its men, young and old. He struck them with a plague of tumors,
Starting point is 00:27:53 and there was a great panic. Just a side note, it says they moved it to Gath here. Gath is where Goliath, the Nehaph, the Nephilim giant was from. So again, this is now the ark is in the territory of these Philistines who seem to have been led by these hybrid Nephilim giants, whom Goliath was the most famous. And you can listen to previous episodes I've done
Starting point is 00:28:22 where I talk in depth about this ancient race of Nephleim hybrids. Okay, verse 10 says, So they sent the Ark of God to the town of Ekron. But when the people of Ekron saw it coming, they cried out, they are bringing the Ark of God of Israel here to kill us too. The people summon the Philistine rulers again and beg them, please send the Ark of the God of Israel back to its own country, or it will kill us all. For the deadly plague from God had already begun, and great fear was sweeping across the town. Those who didn't die were afflicted with tumors, and the cry from the tent. town rose to heaven. So then 1 Samuel chapter 6, we kind of end the story here. It says,
Starting point is 00:29:08 The ark of the Lord remained in Philistine territory seven months and all. Then the Philistines called in their priest and diviners and ask them, what should we do about the ark of the Lord? Tell us how to return it to its own country. Send the ark of the God of Israel back with a gift, they were told. Send a guilt offering so the plague will stop. Then if you are healed, you'll know it was his hand that caused the plague. And so this story basically ends in the next chapter of 1st Samuel, chapter 6, where the Philistines send the ark back to Israel with these guilt offerings, and Israel accepts the ark.
Starting point is 00:29:48 But then something really crazy happens in verse 19 of chapter 6 after Israel gets the ark back. And this is probably where Indiana Jones and Raiders of, the lost ark got their one of their ideas for that film verse 19 says this but the lord killed 70 men from beth shamesh because they looked into the ark of the lord and the people mourned greatly because of what the lord had done who is able to stand in the presence of the lord this holy god they cried out where can we send the ark from here so they sent messengers to the people at Curieth Jerram and told them the Philistines have returned to the Ark of God
Starting point is 00:30:35 come here and get it. So these 70 dudes meet their untimely death, not just anybody can look in it, not just anybody can touch it. That scripture is kind of general in what happened. There might be more to the story that's not written out. It seems to me that this account of the 70 guys dying
Starting point is 00:30:55 is just a real brief brush stroke of something that happened. There's probably so much more to it. You know, why did they want to look into this? Why did 70 guys want to look inside the arc? Were they just curious about what was in it or the power that was surrounding it? Or maybe they were actually trying to steal something out of it? We don't know, but they met their untimely death.
Starting point is 00:31:25 So I will conclude this episode with a million dollar question of, where is the Ark of the Covenant today? The Bible doesn't specify what really happened to the Ark of the Covenant after the Babylonian destruction of Jerusalem in 586 BC. You know, there's a lot of theories. Some people believe Israel hit it, you know, before the invasion and that maybe Jeremiah, the prophet, hit it in a cave. Others believe it was taken to Babylon and just never mentioned, again in historical records. Others simply say it was either lost or destroyed. The Ethiopian Orthodox Church in Ethiopia claims the ark is there that they have it. So that's interesting. Then we have the temple mount theory that suggests the Ark of the Covenant is buried under the Temple Mount
Starting point is 00:32:18 in Jerusalem. Vatican rumors claim it is hidden in the Vatican's secret archives. And then you have the other theory held by many people, probably including a lot of Christians that believe the line of thinking that the ark was meant to be hidden for all this time ever since the Babylonians sacked Jerusalem because it's not going to be revealed until the future. And that's what Revelation 1119 states, that basically the ark won't be seen again until heaven. And here's what it reads, Quote, then God's temple in heaven was opened, and within his temple was seen the ark of his covenant, and there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, and earthquake, and a severe hailstorm, end quote. So again, many believe that the ark was purposely hidden by God and won't be revealed again
Starting point is 00:33:17 until this Revelation 1119 scenario in heaven. So despite its mysterious disappearance, the Ark of the Covenant remains one of the most fascinating biblical and ancient artifacts of all time. Well, I hope you enjoyed this episode.
