Starting point is 00:00:28 See Store Online for details. Betches Media presents. Ha ha, laugh, funny. Mention It All, a Bravo by Betches podcast. We don't say that, but now we said it. With me, Dylan Hafer. We're going to check me, though. Hey, everyone.
Starting point is 00:00:46 Welcome back to the Mention at All podcast. I'm Dylan Hafer at today. I am so excited to have in the studio, the one and only, Gertie. Don't look at me like this. You're getting me all hot and bothered. My goodness. My husband is watching.
Starting point is 00:00:59 Yeah, Russell is sitting six feet away from us. Is he everything you thought he would be? Of course, of course. The Gertie experience, it's coming to life. I'm ready to sit. Cheers. Cheers to whatever the heck is about to happen. I'm excited. We have a lot to talk about. So I am so happy to have you here. It's your second season on Housewives. We're getting toward the latter half of the season. We have a few more episodes. We're in this Bahamas trip. How are we feeling about this season right now? I'm feeling great about this season. I guess. a lot of my chest with some people, Alexia.
Starting point is 00:01:37 And so, you know, I started the season off with, you know, continuing to do what I do best, which is balancing my life, my career, my family, and, you know, I hang with the girls. And, you know, there's so much different, there's so many different things that are happening dynamic-wise with all the ladies. It's a lot to capture, right? But where I leave off from last season is, obviously, you know, I try to help Alexia plan her wedding, the celebration portion of the wedding this time around. And dates are of conflict, and I'm not able to do it.
Starting point is 00:02:03 And she feels a certain way about it as if I got too big, you know, to all of a sudden help her do her wedding. And it's not the fact at all. So I try to clarify that with her throughout this whole season five. And, you know, we're cordial. We're trying to move forward. But hopefully we see, you know, we see what happens. I don't know. It's always a journey.
Starting point is 00:02:24 You know, it's not the until it's the end. No, of course not. Absolutely. But I love bonding with the girls. You know, we all have such an amazing journey. and I love to be a supportive person. I fix crowns is what I like to say. So, you know, me and Nicole, we bond so well.
Starting point is 00:02:37 And Lisa, we support her because you know what she's going through. So it's just like this evolution of friendships that are, it's always changing, you know, like the four seasons, literally. How did it feel coming back for your second season versus last year you were brand new to this? What was the difference in kind of how you approached it? Completely different because, you know, last season I was more in a professional capacity. So you know what I mean? I was more focused on the,
Starting point is 00:03:01 on getting the job done, so to speak. And so this season is so much more fun and liberating because I'm like, gertified. I'm like literally living my best life and showing it on screen unapologetically. So you see me as I am and, you know, the good or bad, the expressions or not, you know, it's just me. It's a me and you take it and leave it. And I don't care if you leave it.
Starting point is 00:03:22 So going back in time a little bit before you were on this Housewives experience, I've known who you were for a few years because you were. because you actually worked with a couple of the Betches, co-founders on their weddings. How did you get from that Gertie where you were in the wedding world, obviously doing your thing with all of that? How did Housewives sort of come into the picture? Because obviously, Miami hadn't been a Housewives show for all of these years. I know.
Starting point is 00:03:49 It was so crazy. And I felt like it was all meant to be, to be honest. And so I did Sammy and Eileen's wedding. And I was here as a planner expert talking on the Betches bride side. And now I'm on the, you know, what is it called? Bishes by Bravo? Yeah. It's so funny.
Starting point is 00:04:03 Like, it's all coming full circle. But yeah, I mean, I'm still planning weddings. I will never leave that behind. I'm just doing so much less weddings now. So it's all about more like qualifying the client more than I used to, creating big productions. So I only do like a handful at this point. And so I'm exploring a lot of other options in my career. So I'm working on a coffee table book, super luxe book about flowers and fashion and just
Starting point is 00:04:28 mixing all those passions that I have in that spectrum. So we're here in New York doing press and also talking to publishers. So if you guys want to interview with me, just call my publicist Matt Tillen. But in the meantime, also like, I'm just trying to also stay home more, work from home, be present. So your girl is cooking. Your girl is doing a lot of things to keep her men happy. You know, we're just book bless and busy. He'll be here.
Starting point is 00:04:53 Yeah. So like when did you first find out that the housewives thing was an option? Like how did that kind of process work? It happened so quickly, to be honest. I kept just getting text messages from different people like, hey, I gave you name. There's a reality show. It's real housewives. And I was just kind of like, okay, cool.
Starting point is 00:05:10 And so speaking to, you know, the people at hand, you know, it all came naturally. Honestly, I just felt like this was such a good way for me to show not only my professional side, but the Gertie side. Because I've been in my planning industry for 20 years. And a lot of people are like, I love your work and everything. Who are you? You're so fashionable. You seem so fun. And I want to see more of you. So when the show came to us, it was kind of like, this is actually a great opportunity for me to show my, me full body. You know what I mean? So yeah, it was, it was meant to be, I felt like. And it just felt right.
Starting point is 00:05:43 So I jumped, jumped in after obviously making sure that Russell was okay with it. And he actually is the most natural person on TV ever. And I'm kind of like, how did this happen? How did this happen? Arozzo is like fan favorite and super. like comfortable with it. So that made me really happy. It felt, it felt safe, you know.
Starting point is 00:06:02 Yeah. It's cool, I think about housewives that a lot of women who have successful careers in one avenue before they're on the show then can come on and really feel free to express more of themselves and explore different sides. And I mean, I was talking to Nicole just a couple weeks ago. And I think she's had a similar experience that obviously she's,
Starting point is 00:06:22 you know, doing this whole doctor thing. Yeah. She's like very successful at that. But then you really get. a chance to let yourself let loose a little bit. I mean, listen, you have to balance it out and it's a very tight. It's a very gray area too because, you know, you can't be too much of anything, right?
Starting point is 00:06:42 So we have a lot to lose, Dr. Nicole and I. And that's the fact. We have real careers. We have people who depend on us. She's putting people to sleep and waking them back up. I got girls that got to get down the aisle without any screw up. This is not a movie and not a test. You cannot rewind the button.
Starting point is 00:06:55 So our focus, her and I, the reason why we're, we click so much because we focus similarly. And so when people don't understand that or respect that, then it becomes a problem. You know, so when you bring that dynamic to the group where not everyone is in that same kind of like beat is just kind of, it creates a clash and like a lack of understanding. And to me, for example, it feels disrespectful. Like, do you understand what I do and how hard it took me to get here? So when people dismiss it and or try to slender your character and or your career and or
Starting point is 00:07:24 your talent, that's going to be a problem. And you've got to fight for that so that the viewer can understand. Like there's no truth to this this whole stuff. I mean, sleeping with every man. Mm-hmm. And every doctor in the hospital. That's a lot. Slander.
Starting point is 00:07:36 It's a hot topic. It's a lot, right? And me, you know, this critical slander of like, oh, well, you know, I was talking about the aesthetic. Have you seen my website? Have you scroll down that, that lane? Come on now. I mean, it's just kind of like, you know, it's just, it's comical at some point.
Starting point is 00:07:52 Yeah. So speaking of the situation with the rumor about Nicole, obviously you have a friendship with Larsa also. And so I'm wondering how you kind of navigated that moment this season when they were really at odds. I have had it and have. I don't know which way it's going right now. Present date, I haven't heard from Larsa at all.
Starting point is 00:08:12 I don't know if she feels a certain way because I'm really close to Nicole. And she was really my first friend, real good friend of the group. And so, you know, you'll see at the reunion how things, you know, come about. But I don't know. I don't know where I stand with Larsa because I used to text her, hey, I miss you, this and that, whatever the whole thing. After mirror mirror on the wall, I really honestly haven't even heard from her at all.
Starting point is 00:08:32 And so, you know, I think she needs time to breathe and see what happens. But I'm here. She needs a friend. That moment, that scene where you were with Larsa when she received the uninvitation.
Starting point is 00:08:43 So awkward. Your emotional arc reacting to what was happening around you. But now everybody wanted the expression of expression. Yes, you're in your face it at all. Yeah. You're like, ooh, invitation. And then immediately, record scratch.
Starting point is 00:08:56 I was jealous. I was like, Wait, she's getting a box invitation, a mirror, hand calligraphy. And I'm like, what event is this for? Because the engagement party was happening like the next day or something. Right. So then I'm like, ooh, from Nicole. That's why I was like confused.
Starting point is 00:09:08 I'm like, oh, I hope I get one. And then she's like, mirror, mirror on the wall. Who's the fake? And I'm like, I had to read. I had to read it. Who's the fakesest, Larsa? Not fake. Who's the fakes of them all?
Starting point is 00:09:19 I had to read it all loud and I couldn't believe it. I was mouth on the floor, dead. Died. I think, okay. I actually think one of your biggest strength. strengths as a housewife is that you are really good at listening and reacting and sort of processing the situation around you, which is important because if you have two people that are arguing or two people that are, you know, having a conflict or whatever, you need the other
Starting point is 00:09:43 people in the group to kind of add a little bit of texture and color to that scene. And I feel like you really, you really are great at that in the group. It's the way I am. I mean, I was, I'm one of seven kids. I'm number six of seven. So like, I've always had to fight. from my place in everything. So with a group, I treated like my family in a sense. And it's like, you know, I want to speak. I want to say something. And when you get dismissed, it's not nice.
Starting point is 00:10:05 You know what I mean? It's like just because I'm a newbie, quote unquote, and I'm not a newbie anymore. And this is a reboot, right? So we're all starting on the same playing field, right? Depends who you ask. Well, exactly. Delusional. Delusional minds, honey.
Starting point is 00:10:16 Anyway, yes, we are starting on the same playing field. And so for me, it's kind of like, I'm going to be who I am. And if I see something, I say something. So good. good, so good. Everything you want for summer is at Nordstrom rack stores now and up to 60% off. Stock up and save on the brands you love like Vince, Sam Edelman, Frame, and Free People. Join the Nordy Club to unlock exclusive discounts, shop new arrivals first, and more.
Starting point is 00:10:44 Plus, buy online and pick up at your favorite rack store for free. Great brands, great prices. That's why you rack. Girl, Winter is so last season. And now Springs got you looking at pictures of tank tops with hungry eyes. Your algorithm is feeding you cutoffs. You're thirsty for the sun on your shoulders. That perfect hang on the patio sundress.
Starting point is 00:11:08 Those sandals you can wear all day and all night. And you've had enough of shopping from your couch. Done hoping it looks anything like the picture when you tear up on that envelope. It's time for a little in-person spring treat. It's time for a trip to Ross. Work your magic. So going into this trip in the Bahamas, obviously some people have, you know,
Starting point is 00:11:30 various different levels of issues with other people. How did you feel going into this trip? Because I feel like for the most part, it's like you're kind of in a decent spot with everyone. I feel like I'm a naked and afraid. Literally, the first thing you see me is I'm literally talking to Nicole. Okay, ready for the Bahamas? I'm like, I don't know, I'm kind of scared.
Starting point is 00:11:48 Hide your kids. Had you wives. What's going to happen on this trip now? Like, after everything that's happened before. And you just, this is the tip of the iceberg. You have no idea what's to come. If people think this is the best season so far, they haven't even seen the rest of these episodes.
Starting point is 00:12:02 It gets wild. Wild. There's a big split in the group. You will see. And it's going to be a very decisive. I'm on this side or this side. It's literally black and white for the most part. So yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:16 And I started first empathizing with one group. I'm like, okay, this is 100% wrong. But then the reaction to the mix. makeup part of it is where I'm like, hmm, I don't know if I want to do all that. I feel like I can't kick people while they're down type of thing. So you'll see how that evolves. And I can't wait to see what you guys think as far as, you know, how, who side are you guys on? Okay.
Starting point is 00:12:40 So last season, I feel like you've had your specific issues with Alexia over the course of the seasons. Yeah. But this season, I feel like there's a couple more situations where other people in the group are kind of experiencing. Maybe the not so great side of the. where it's like with Nicole, she feels like she has an opinion about her dad, an opinion about the stuff with Larsa. And obviously with Adriana, the thing about this guy she was seeing was a whole other. Do you feel like people are kind of seeing the true colors of Alexia in a way? Or is it harder than that?
Starting point is 00:13:14 I really like Alexia. And that's why it was so frustrating for me to be like, I just need an apology. I just need you to respect me and feel appreciated. And we're good. But that's what we couldn't get past that. And I'm like, what is the big idea here? You know? And then when I saw how she was not able to apologize for lack of scrolling down a document
Starting point is 00:13:35 and not and say, I am not apologizing to you, bitch. I was like, bitch is. Bitches. And I'm like, but wait. Like, this is like black and white. Like, yes, appellate. And then you see her with Nicole. It's just a pallop of like, is everything okay at home with you?
Starting point is 00:13:50 You're good. I'm concerned. Honestly, I just feel like there's something going on where it's creating this buildup. And I'm concerned because I just don't understand this anger that just comes out. And everyone's talking about how volatile she is. And I don't know, but I care about her a lot. I love her. We have the best time when we're having fun. So I want the old Lexi back. I want what I want. You know, so I hope we'll get her back. Well, Nicole kind of had this idea when I talked to her that this season maybe because you and her and Julia and Kiki, people are loving Kiki.
Starting point is 00:14:23 Love. Love. You all have been around now for a conversation. couple of seasons. Whether or not you were on the same playing field last year, I think it's clear now you've arrived. People are loving your vibe that there's a little bit of feeling threatened maybe by the other side of the cast. Do you think that plays into it? It's not feeling threatened more than it is like this is where we are.
Starting point is 00:14:44 This is our position with the aunties maybe. And then you guys are like the little nephews and nieces or whatever. So I just feel like the hierarchy. And that's where you're going to lose me. I will not put up with hierarchy shit. I work my ass off to come to this country from Haiti to Paris, not speaking French, from France to America, not speaking English. I work my ass off to be here speaking this language eloquently, thank you very much,
Starting point is 00:15:10 and being able to be where I am in my career. And I will not have anybody act like they're better than ever. And that's when you're going to see me go gertie, fine. I will not. I'm telling you right now. So next season, people better realize what they're going to get if they don't start being respectful to me and my girls. Yeah. I think that's always a tough thing on a show like this because it is an ensemble.
Starting point is 00:15:33 Everybody has to pull their weight. There's going to be kind of everybody has their moments and, you know, people kind of have a big storyline or more supporting. Yeah. But you can't think that you're bigger than the show or that you're kind of on top because it's hard to stay there. I don't mind people saying I'm a star because guess what? I'm a star. However, the statement said, you guys are all jealous because I'm a star. It's like, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:15:55 Like, let's rewind the tape. I don't have anything to be jealous about. I'm so sorry. I have all my stuff. I don't even need to say it because you see it. You see what I'm saying? Sometimes silence is the better route of showing who you are, right? So that was the only conflict I have with that.
Starting point is 00:16:10 It's like, I'm not jealous of you because of you're a star. You're a star. I'm a star. It's like a little tap dance or recital. Yeah, I'm a star. Razzle, dazzle. Okay. We're clapping.
Starting point is 00:16:18 You got this. You know? So let's not. do that. Like the moment you say, I'm up here, you guys are down here, because that's what it translates to, it's never going to go well. Like, who's going to say, yeah, you know what you're right? Can I kiss your feet? Like, I'm not kissing rings. I'm not kissing feet. I'm not kissing ass. Okay. Sorry. I mean, this cast, there's nine of you in the cast. All of you, I think, have such big personalities, such strong kind of. Very strong. You know, there's no real
Starting point is 00:16:45 feeling from a viewer's standpoint that anybody is kind of falling to the best. Yeah, but at the end of the day, it's like we're all going to find our story. Our story is going to dictate who gets, quote, unquote, more screen time or whatever eventually, right? I love the fact that, you know, Alexa was able to share a lot of her sorrow and let the viewers see her vulnerable. So last season was Alexis season. This season is Lisa's season. Not in the best way, by the way, but it's the vulnerability and the realness that Miami brings to the viewers. And that's what people are hooked on this show.
Starting point is 00:17:18 Next season, hopefully it's not, you know, we're all going to go through our stuff. And I hope that we respect each other's quote unquote moment. I am a clapper. I fix crowns. I hope to goodness, all good things happen to everyone and we can shine together. But like the minute somebody is going down,
Starting point is 00:17:33 we're sisters, I will bring you back up. But let me do that. And that was my point. It's like when I tell Lisa, hey, Lisa, find Lisa Lane. It's you and those kids.
Starting point is 00:17:40 I said it first. And everyone's like, you don't know, you're not married. You can't speak. And then guess what they're telling her right now? Oh, it's Lisa Lane. Don't worry about Lenny anymore.
Starting point is 00:17:48 I've been saying it from day one, honey. Like you see, so let me speak my truth and see just as an opinion, take it or leave it. But like, just respect my word. Respect my position in the group. Because I deserve to be where you are to, you know? Yeah. And especially when you were in that Keys trip and the information about Lisa and Lenny was kind of coming out really for the first time. Nobody had all the answers.
Starting point is 00:18:10 Nobody had all the information. But the answer was not. Let's go kill her. You know, right. Let's go to the same club at Formula 2. Like, we're not doing that. We're not doing messy, honey. We're bigger than that.
Starting point is 00:18:18 Hashtack onwards. Right. Lisa Lane. And I think, so what was it like kind of filming during that experience and having to be there for Lisa? Because even just watching it from home unfold in the tabloids and stuff, it's a whirlwind. My screech said it all. I've never, I don't remember screeching like that. I've never screeched like that in my life.
Starting point is 00:18:37 When I was watching it back, I'm like, they must have put it on some kind of like a voiceover. That was from my gut. I couldn't believe it. It was happening on real time. We're getting information like everybody else, the type blows, Whatever you were reading, we were reading it, and we were filming reading it. It was a lot. And I just, I just felt so disgusted for her, like, just for the woman movement of like,
Starting point is 00:19:00 this is what she gets after 15 years, two kids later. It's just not even fair. And that girl deserves way more than that thing over there. So Lisa Lane. Thank you. I feel like she's, I feel like she's doing okay. She's going to. My girls, she's got this.
Starting point is 00:19:16 She's going to make it through. I got this. Bigger, better, faster. Every time I see her post on Instagram, I'm like, go out there, get it. She's looking better and better. Let me tell you. I love it. She came here. She looked amazing. She was ready to go. Oh my god. That body, yadi, honey. She's fierce. That's my girl. Yeah.

You had such a nice moment with Julia talking about how they're going to try and adopt together. Yeah. I mean, listen, I felt so misunderstood last season.
Starting point is 00:20:47 When I tell you, I had no idea what was her story as far as her son, the loss of her son. And I had a loss, but mine was a miscarriage. And hers was something way more horrifying. And when I was put on the spot about like, Gurdy, you don't know what she's going through. And I was just kind of like, oh, no, but I can relate to this. And then they tell me how she lost it.
Starting point is 00:21:08 It was all a sequential order thing that created the scene. And I was mortified. And that's why you see me just getting up crying, like, I can't believe this happened. And I didn't know that. And it got misinterpreted for like, oh, she's making it. about herself. I'm like, did you not see the scene and the sequence? It's, you know, I mean, we never.
Starting point is 00:21:27 And so I was glad that she saw that I care really deeply about her. And that was our bonding moment where we were able to kind of like go back to where we started before that moment that we had together. So I, I was very honored to hear about the news. And I hope that she gets what her wish, you know? I think sometimes watching the show, it's easy to sort of watch and be like, oh, that's not the right thing to say or the way to react. But I think you forget that when you're doing.
Starting point is 00:21:51 doing all of this stuff in real time. You have to, and you're on camera. Shock value. The shock value of what happened to that poor baby. I'm like mortified. Right. How do you react? You tell me, you should be doing this.
Starting point is 00:22:03 Don't cry, stand up and say, you can't tell somebody how to act. Yeah. So I just, it just hit me to the core and I felt bad about the position I was in like, I can't believe this. And, you know, it just played off wrong. And obviously, I think people now know that I'm a good person. Yeah. And I didn't mean, obviously, to make it about myself.
Starting point is 00:22:21 Well, and I understand why it felt, why it meant a lot to know that Julia also got that and didn't feel like there was any kind of. She knows. Yeah. That's my girl. She knows. And I think you can't hide people's true character's true intention because it would carry on words, whatever that final, you know, desire is. And she saw that I was like, like, I'm sorry. Period.
Starting point is 00:22:41 Not I'm sorry, but I'm not that person. If I'm going to apologize to you, I'm going to apologize and say, my bad, I didn't know. I didn't know. My bad. You know, so that's what I did. And, you know, is what it is. art of the apology. It's a...
Starting point is 00:22:53 Somebody should teach a class about it. Maybe next season I'll do an event called the Apology Dinner. You're like, who at this table is the worst in apologizing? Do you trust the least? No, apologize is the least. So I also talk to Nicole about how she feels like Larsa doesn't bring enough of her real life onto the show. Do you feel like there's a sense of...
Starting point is 00:23:21 Some people in the cast maybe not pulling their weight when it comes to bringing their own journeys to the camera. I feel like Larsa was maybe in a transitional phase in her life. And that's why it was hard for her to develop like she was just moving into now like a high ride. She's always living this amazing home in, you know, in Florida somewhere. So she's she had a big transition. That's why I'm like, oh my God, this is Larsa in the city. And like I was rooting for Larsa. I'm happy for her.
Starting point is 00:23:51 And I felt like it was hard to capture that part of her life. And so maybe on camera, she's going on dates. People are asking, oh, those days real or the stage, whatever it is. But I feel like now she does have someone in her life. Now I'm looking forward to really seeing what's really happening back there. Right. And if we don't see that, then I'm going to be on Nicole's, you know, same as Nicole, sentiment saying like, hey, girl, like, can we see, you know, your man?
Starting point is 00:24:16 Can you see what we're moving in, whatever it is? So I empathize with Larsa for like having that meant that transitional phase in the season. But I feel like hopefully in the future we'll see Larsa in the city, living her best life. On Peacock. It's tricky figuring out I'm sure what what exactly you want to bring on to the show. What maybe you keep for yourself. But we shouldn't be able to choose. I can't choose.
Starting point is 00:24:42 Like when they come to my house, knock on the door, the reason why you don't see me fully beautiful. And I mean, literally my little bonnet. because I'm like, ah, they're filming me, and I'm warning you go away with my robe, but you got to live your life because it's supposed to be reality. So, you know, like one thing that people I think mentioned was like, how does Larson get like onions and everything's so perfect that she's ready to cook? Like when, you know, I come in to visit her, I'm like, maybe she's a better homemaker than I have. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:25:07 I just know that you see your shit show in my house and I'm like trying to keep it all together and I wish I was Larsa having onions and green peppers ready to go. You're like, I love it. I got to take some notes for next season. You guys, you're organizing me probably. Who knows? I love it. Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 00:25:23 So you filmed a reunion a couple weeks ago. Yeah. Those reunion looks, your look particularly broke the internet a bit. I mean, you know. Yeah. I mean, I'm surprised I didn't break my dress in the chain. I was so scared that one of the, you know, pops were going to, it was going to happen. But it was an inspiration from the James Bond thing.
Starting point is 00:25:46 So I'm an event creator and I'm an event style. So in my mind, I'm like, James Bond, dress, the femme fatale, and I can pull a heist, bitch. So, bitch. I got to remember that. So I can pull a heist and I was like, I'm going to wear all chains, honey. She can climb up a wall and save herself and James Bond. How about that? I have a feeling Andy appreciated.
Starting point is 00:26:05 Andy was like, wow. Like, he was so, so amazed. And I was, it was like, he actually asked me to stand up. So I had to do a little twirl for him. Yes. There you go. Love it. Ace the test.
Starting point is 00:26:16 Yes, honey. How did you feel? getting ready for a reunion this year versus last year, knowing that you had done it before and kind of knew what to expect a little more. Well, there was so much more going on. It was to me, this reunion was so much easier because I just walked in, like, just react to whatever comes at you. And as long as you're truthful about it and, like, honest, I don't need to prep for the
Starting point is 00:26:36 reunion. You see what I'm saying? Like, I already knew what we were going to talk about and what my positioning was on that. So I interjected when I knew I needed to speak up for someone or about a topic. And so you definitely am way more verbal this reunion. Oh, yeah, way more verbal. Yes.
Starting point is 00:26:52 That's good to know that you felt like you were able to kind of be more comfortable. Oh, yeah. This year. Because I feel like there are some people who dread the reunion every single year. No, I look forward to it. And I like to look my best with it too. So in the most recent episode, there was some controversy about these little stones that that Julia and Adriana were bringing to the trip.
Starting point is 00:27:15 I mean, why do we self-sabotage and create the drama for somebody's mama? Like, I'm just saying, like, now you think this is like Bruea, Botanica, and the witch and voodoo? I'm like, why can you just be like a little stone? I was not threatened at all by the stone, but those who believe, believe, believe whatever they were going to believe. And I was like, okay, I don't know about witchcraft here, but it was, after all the things that you're going to see happen on this trip, at the end, honestly, I was kind of like, I don't believe in witchcraft. I'm a pastor's daughter, honey. And then I'm like, full moon. Oh, shit.
Starting point is 00:27:44 Oh, oh. Like things were happening crazy town. People were losing their minds. And so I really honestly felt like maybe there could be something in the air. But I don't know about rich crop, you know, just bad luck. Alexia Marisol, I feel like they're going to take any opportunity to be like, I don't know about that. There are as thick as these. But I want to get to know them individually and not as a bogle.
Starting point is 00:28:09 But I won't get one free type of thing. Okay. So I'm trying to like create a separate friendship with one. the other and it's hard because they're always like together. And then they say, no, we want, you're the ones. You guys are the ones who are shutting us out. And I'm looking at them like, I text you all the time, let's have dinner, there's whatever.
Starting point is 00:28:25 You either not respond and or you can't make it. You never reach out to me. So it's kind of like, I have it, I have receipts on my attempts to create friendships with them and all of them and they don't reciprocate. So I don't want to hear about you guys are the ones. It's not you newbies, not us OGs. No, the receipts don't lie. Okay.
Starting point is 00:28:43 Yeah. That's interesting coming off of what Adriana was saying in this past episode about how she feels like Alexia doesn't necessarily know what's going on in her life because she doesn't ask. She doesn't keep herself up today. Listen, listen, okay. I am the kind of person, like I friend in a way where I will never say, well, you don't, like, I don't take a scoreboard and say, well, you didn't call me last week. I called you last week. It's not in the sense like that because we're grown women. We have families.
Starting point is 00:29:11 We have kids. And Alexia has a lot on her plate. All of us do, right? So I don't like when people say, oh, you didn't check with me to see what I was doing. So you're a bad friend because it goes both ways too, right? We're, you know, like Adriana could have picked up the phone too. So I don't like the blame game of that.
Starting point is 00:29:28 I think overall there was definitely a separation between, again, the Bogo Club, which is, you know, Alexia and Marisol have this thing and they won't let no one in their little circle. And then you have Adriana who had them at the wedding and, you know, a few seasons ago. and she feels left out. And they think like, well, because you have Julia now, that's why we're not including you. But that doesn't, it doesn't make sense, you know? So I just feel like people, if you want to hang with me,
Starting point is 00:29:53 I think you'll find a way to hang with me. No? Yeah. Okay. So there you go. Speaking of hanging with Housewives, Alexia Marisol got to go on a little girl's trip. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:03 A few months back. I'm curious, would you be down to do an ultimate girl's trip? It's so funny because in the beginning, when I saw the first one, I was like, oh, my God, so fine. I see the second one. I was like, oh, the cast is quite volatile. The man, what was he called? The Bluestone Manor.
Starting point is 00:30:21 The Blue Stone Manor. And then I was like, I don't know if I want to do that. And then the third one's coming out. So I'm open, open, as long as it's a good trip. So make it worth my while at least. Give me scenery, honey. Right. I need a good scenery.
Starting point is 00:30:37 Who would you want to go with from some other cities? Well, I got to have my girl talk to Nicole. Okay. Okay. It's got to be Bogo over here. Okay. Me and my girl. And then, um, hmm.
Starting point is 00:30:50 Lisa Milan, Chanel, I yon. Okay. Who else would I do? Uh, Kathy Hilton. I'd love to see her in the slippers. Uh-huh. And talk about Colorado. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:31:05 I just, I'm open. I'm the kind of person I can be a chameleon where I can get along, I think, with most people. If they don't get me, that's on them. But give me a shot. And I think you're going to kind of like me. Yeah. Was it fun at BravoCon this past year to get to meet everyone. Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:31:17 Yeah. I felt like I was in a homecoming high school and everyone had got the superlatives. It was so fun. And apparently I mean some kind of page six and news about me in Kenya. I'm like, I love Kenya. That's a queen. And I was wanting to meet her when I saw her walking in the hallway. I'm like, hey, Kenya, girl.
Starting point is 00:31:34 Hey. And she was busy. She was going to another room to do her private reception thing. Like we were all. And I'm sure she didn't mean it. but it was the tone, not what she said. And I think it just came off way wrong. So, I love you, Kenya.
Starting point is 00:31:47 Call me holla. Okay, there's no beer. Never. Ever. I fix freaking crowns always. I feel like people, if you didn't go to BravoCon, you don't quite understand how hectic it was the whole weekend. Somebody could be standing five feet away and trying to get over to them and ask for a photo or whatever.
Starting point is 00:32:06 It's like, and you've been already been barred by 20,000 fans, which is a great thing. So you feel the love, but like, you're not focused on what's next. next. There's an itinerary. There's a leader of the pack type of thing. So I understood her grind and I was doing the same thing as her. I just fanned out a little bit. You know what I mean? So I just love her. So that was that was. Yeah. So she probably mistaken for a fan. Sorry, girl. That's okay. Well, but I'm from the real house house of Miami. Okay. Season four and five. Thank you. Y'all had a great panel at BravoCon. I thought, I mean, you always bring the, bring the, bring the glamour. Oh, thank you. I mean, I love, I love fashion. I mean, I'm from, I'm from
Starting point is 00:32:40 Perry baby. I was born in Haiti and raised in Paris. You know, I'm French, Haitian, American. You can't see it because this is an audio podcast, but Gertia is wearing leopard print boots up to, I can't even see where they go up to. These are boot tights, honey. Amazing. Amazing. So we have a few more episodes of the season. Yes. And then the reunion. Anything, anything in particular you're excited for or just to let it all unfold. Oh, yes, I am. So I host the finale party and I'll give you the theme so that you can understand where this whole trip leads to it's a melting pot party because lots of people got a lot of meltdown so I had to do a little melting pot party to let them know we're all together peace on earth and I'm trying to get
Starting point is 00:33:31 the group back together and you'll have to watch you see what happens at the finale okay I could make some guesses but I won't I won't get you in trouble I am a peacemaker I do this I do this with my eyes closed with my brides. You know how many brides say to me? My parents had divorced. My dad can even see my mother. If she sees my mother, you're fired. Like, I got all these dynamics going on, plenty of parties.
Starting point is 00:33:50 I know how to handle these crazy people. But they won't let me. I'm like, guys, this is what I do. You shut up. You sit down. Let her talk. I can do this with my eyes close. You know, so next season, I'm going to be way more vocal and putting,
Starting point is 00:34:01 laying down the law. Well, I can't wait. But in the meantime, thank you so much for joining us today. I love you. So much to talk about. always. Thank you, Gertie.
