Betch's Media presents.
Ha ha, laugh, funny.
Mention It All, a Bravo by Betch's podcast.
We don't say that, but now we said it.
With Dylan Hafer.
Who don't check me, boo?
And Barry Rosenfeld.
I need to start drinking alcohol.
Now go to sleep, we.
Hey, guys, welcome back to the Mentioned All podcast.
I'm Dylan Hafer.
And I'm Barry Rosenfeld.
We just had a little yawn competition.
Wow, way to blow up my spot right away.
Well, I had a sneeze coming for the last 10 minutes, so I'm scared it's kind of like
arrived during us recording.
Varya, how's it going today?
How are you doing?
I'm doing well.
Thank you so much for asking.
I just had to ask you really quick what day it was because it's always that in between
like days of the week where you're like, is it the weekend yet?
To some people, yes, to us, no.
So we still have one more day, which I'm so excited about because I love working and I love being here and I love entertaining people.
What do you mean to some people? Yes, it's Thursday morning.
Yeah, some people, you know, maybe have off tomorrow. It's the summer. Like, you don't know. You know, maybe they took off.
Maybe you're a real housewife and you filmed a reunion yesterday and so you're just like kind of done for a while.
Dude, I can't believe they filmed at Ohika Castle.
Like, I knew they were filming in Long Island, but I didn't know they were filming at
Ohika Castle.
I had a wedding there.
It's stunning.
It's beautiful.
It looked beautiful.
Speaking of looking beautiful last night, Karen Huger did.
Thank you.
Also, Barry.
Karen Huger did an Instagram live and none other than Rihanna was tuning in and popped
up in the comments.
That is so funny.
That's what Rihanna was doing last night.
She commented several times about saying Karen look beautiful, saying Karen is, you know, her favorite, whatever.
And I just feel like that's exactly what the grand dom Karen Huger deserves.
Dylan, imagine we like have Karen, well, if we want to have Karen on the podcast, but we're like, hey, anyway, we can have like, we can maybe get Rihanna on as well and we can have like a, you know, just a nice conversation.
Oh my God.
I, okay, so I was.
I was DMing last night with Matt Byers, who is Karen's assistant friend, the one, the infamous
Matt from the press conference.
Where they didn't know if he was the lawyer or the friend or who he was.
That's great, but he was sending me more screenshots of Rihanna's comments.
And he said that Rihanna followed Karen last night after that live.
And I'm like, Karen, get it, girl.
That is?
You know what?
That allows her to have the title.
grand dom.
I feel like out of all of the,
out of all the celebrities who are kind of like famous
for being Bravo fans, Rihanna is like really up there.
So that's pretty, pretty exciting.
Yeah, that's huge.
But anyway, today we were talking about Beverly Hills
and below deck because we took a little break on below deck.
But that's okay because the episodes kind of went into each other.
Yeah, it was like a two-parter,
because last week we, it was basically like the two-part saga of Kiko getting fired.
So sad.
Last week we saw Vegas night.
Hannah gave some questionable advice on the menu and Kiko didn't know any better.
I, okay, so it was Vegas night and she was like, when I go to Vegas, I eat fried chicken and nachos and fries and all of that.
Okay.
And the guests were definitely expecting, I think, more of like the, um,
the culinary experience of Vegas, which is different.
As someone who has been to Vegas numerous times,
that is not even, that is 3 a.m. drunken room service, Vegas.
That's not what people who are paying thousands of dollars to go on a yacht expect when they think of Vegas.
And also, I felt bad because Captain Sandy, who actually,
we find out does not blame Hannah for this.
Doesn't like the fact that Kiko had to Google it.
But you know what?
Everyone is entitled to like research,
but that's the Google search he found.
Like that's what he went off of.
Like, ugh.
I think I think the thing is like
Hannah's advice was not great advice.
But that when it comes down to it,
it's not Hannah's job to make the menu.
So if Kiko was having to Google things,
it's like it seems like he could have realized
that there are actually like,
a lot of amazing restaurants in Vegas.
And that's like kind of one.
It's something that it's known for now is like fine dining.
Right.
And also we need to take a little like book page out of this book and no more chefs should
ever make nachos unless nachos happens to be their specialty.
Because let me tell you, by putting Tostitos on a plate and having one slab of melted cheese
on it, oh my God.
That's the problem. Natchos can be so great and you can do so many things with them, but anytime a chef on below deck makes them, they're just like, I don't really know how to do this. So chips and cheese? It's happened like three times. It's really bad. It's so bad. Okay. The thing is, I was sad. Obviously, I was sad to see Kiko go. Kiko is, it just seems like a lovely human, but I definitely understand that he just wasn't really up to.
the challenge and you know it happens it wasn't it was never personal even you know i don't think
captain sandy was mad at him in any way it was just like you know it's not working right and they even
said he had a different experience and that's fine but at the same time that's also not his fault
he was hired for this with the wrong experience so what what else was he to do question though
because i'm not experienced in yachting is it standard
There's a serious question.
Is it standard for the chef to have dinner with the guests at least one night?
Do you know, Dylan?
Even though you're not experienced yachting.
I am a yachting expert.
Wait, do you mean the chef or the captain?
I do mean the captain.
Thank you.
I think it depends.
Because on the show, we see that sometimes they request it.
But, like, why?
I don't want to eat.
I don't know.
I don't know.
Okay, Ramana.
I always think about this.
I'm like, would I want to?
Or, like, actually, that would be cool.
Maybe I'd want them to come just for dessert.
I think because the chef, the captain is somebody that they respect as the captain of the ship.
And it's like, oh, they probably have fun, like, cool stories and life experiences.
And we're kind of getting that full, you know, yachting experience.
Whereas, like, otherwise, it's just, like, going to a restaurant.
But really, they're just judging the chef's food while eating and listening.
to the drunken um i will say that's that's one thing that i that i struggle with with captain sandy
is i do think she's a little overbearing sometimes and you know hopefully the next chef will
uh will give her a little more confidence so she won't have to be hovering so much
that's true but we also see because kiko leaves and hannah's not handling it well because
Hannah treats him or looks at him as a real friend.
She has this panic attack in what I think was the middle of the night.
Was it the middle of the night?
I think so.
I think so.
Yeah, it's like 2 a.m.
It's hard because especially where they are, they're in those, like, such tiny little
rooms.
Like, it probably didn't help.
But Malia woke up from this and Hannah asked for a valium.
And then you hear Malia say, but isn't that a prescription?
But, like, at that point, didn't Malia know, like, maybe does Hannah?
have a prescription for that.
So I think we're going to see this play out more on the next episode, but Malia posted an
Instagram post about this.
I think sort of addressing what happened on the episode, but also in preparation for next week,
because I think a lot of people are going to criticize her for, you know, like, obviously
Hannah, if Hannah's having a panic attack, that's like a mental health thing.
She should be able to get the help she needs.
But Malia was saying that there are specific maritime laws where you can, you can't,
can't take medication that's not basically pre-approved for you because you're on duty when there
are guests on the boat. And so if you were like somehow impaired. Right. So it's the kind of thing
where I think probably Malia was trying to follow every rule. Whereas Hannah was having a moment.
And she was like, this is what I need right now. And so it's like, Hannah was like hanging out and was like,
Can I have a valium?
Like to use your favorite word, it's a difficult juxtaposition because obviously, you know,
mental health is something that's super important and, you know, people should be able to
get the help they need.
But at the same time, if there are these laws on the boat, I would understand why Malia isn't
just like, yeah, girl, take the pills.
Definitely.
That puts Malia in a really strange position.
We'll see next week.
We'll see.
Because I feel we haven't seen it kind of play out yet, but we have like,
half of the information.
And then,
because Rob says that he loves Jess.
Does Rob have a girlfriend at home?
We still don't really know.
They haven't mentioned that after that one past episode,
but it's so crazy because this is like the most underrated love story,
I think, on the show that we've seen.
And they're like, from an outside perspective,
it seems that they're dating on the boat.
If they lived on a boat, they are dating.
And they kiss each other at every waking,
moment that they see each other, every pass in the hallway, every shift, everything. So when
Rob says it, it kind of makes just, it catches her off guard a little bit. And here's the rule,
people. You don't have to say, I love you back if someone says, I love you. But I think
Rob was really expecting her to. And she says that she does feel it, but she doesn't know.
She's a little torn. Maybe we'll see more of this on.
unfold as well because
Look, I don't
I don't think these two are going to get married
so we'll see how it plays out but
I won't say I'm that invested
But they're cute for now on the boat
They're very cute for now
Girl winter is
So last season
And now Springs got you looking at pictures of tank tops
With hungry eyes
Your algorithm is feeding you cutoffs
You're thirsty for the sun on your shoulders
that perfect hang on the patio sundress,
those sandals you can wear all day and all night.
And you've had enough of shopping from your couch.
Done hoping it looks anything like the picture
when you tear open that envelope.
It's time for a little in-person spring treat.
It's time for a trip to Ross.
Work your magic.
Let's get into Beverly Hills.
We are still in Rome after last week's bombshell at the dinner
about Denise and Brandy allegedly hooking up,
which Denise says at the beginning of this episode,
is slander.
And she says that she doesn't want to call Brandy because Brandy will be hearing from her
lawyers.
And she is, I will say, regardless of what the actual truth is here, I totally understand
why Denise is angry in this moment, the way that it was brought up in front of everyone.
And what's interesting is that after Teddy, you know, gathered up the strength to throw this
rumor out there, I feel like she really takes a back seat.
in this episode.
Because it has nothing to do with her.
But it's like Teddy has done this before
where she throws this big, you know,
shocker out there and then kind of lets Kyle and Rina
and, you know, everyone else kind of deal with the fallout.
And it's like, that's why we don't like Terry
because it's like, if you're going to do the rumor,
you have to do the cleanup.
Well, that's what pissed me off about last week's episode
when Teddy was stirring this and then looked at Kyle
and it was like you were there too.
Like, stop bringing this up and then putting it on someone else.
Lisa Rina, I think, handled this so well because of how bad Munchausen really affected her.
So she was saying how Teddy really needed to own this.
And like, and she didn't, which was pretty unfortunate.
But Denise also, you see her saying that she does not have an open marriage and has not sheeted on her husband,
which you never know because we see Kyle and Doreet having their little lunch.
and they asked the question,
would your husband leave you if you hooked up with a woman?
Like people look at cheating differently.
So some people don't consider
if your wife hooks up with another woman, is that cheating?
But Kyle claims that Maricio would absolutely flip out if she did that.
So Brandy is also saying that Aaron would kill Denise if he found out too.
So what the hell is going on?
The thing for me, this whole episode, again, like I said,
I totally feel for Denise and her being upset, but for the love of God, she cannot get her story straight about when and how much and how close she talked to Brandy because she had previously said that she didn't talk to Brandy at all anytime around Kyle's party.
And then at one point, she really made it sound like they had talked after the party.
And then later in the episode, she straight up said that she had talked to Brandy before the party because she,
she said that Brandy somehow knew everything that was going on in the group.
And it's like, I, if Denise, if Denise wants to deny the hookup rumors, that's one thing.
That's a completely separate issue.
But this whole thing of claiming that she barely knows Brandy, that they've only met once or twice.
And then she cannot stick to one story.
It's like, this, this is a crazy web of lies.
It was bad.
It last night it was I had secondhand embarrassment for a second.
I truly did because of the back and forth so often.
And it really, it was almost like word vomiting.
But at the end of the episode, and then we'll go back, I guess, because we're just on Denise.
Yeah, when she claims that Brandy also had sex with women in the, it was like reminded me of middle school where like the girl couldn't think
like a comeback so she just was like
well your hair is ugly
that's almost what it seemed she didn't know
what to say so she said the same thing that was said
about her like what
it's so I was actually
really trying to think of I was trying to think
about it because obviously so when Denise said
this thing that Brandy said
that she had sex with someone else
at the table that's obviously
a shocking thing to say
but I was trying to really think about it
and who
it would possibly be because I'm like
okay, I really don't think it's Lisa Rina.
I really don't think it's Kyle.
I don't think it's anyone.
It's definitely not to read because the first time they met was at Kyle's party.
It's definitely not Garcel.
It's definitely I, it's like the only person.
I was just about to say, the only person that I could even like think it would possibly,
like, I don't think it happened, but even just in their mind like if a time,
it down. If a timeline could line up, I think Sutton is like the only even possibility,
but it's like, I don't even think that that's true. It just felt, yeah, it felt very like a desperate
attempt to deflect from. Well, interesting, you bring up Sutton because not only do we find out
last week that Sutton knew, but last night she says that she found out this rumor two years ago.
So was that like a mistake?
Or are you onto something, Dylan?
Because if she knew of Brandy Glenville for two years,
then maybe Sutton and Brandy is who we have to worry about.
Well, okay.
No, Sutton said Unwatch What Happens Live last week
that she's known Brandy for eight years.
So that's why I think,
I don't think anything happened,
but if there was one person that it was a possibility,
I would say it's Brandy.
But, yeah, the saying that she knew,
about Brandy and Denise for two years
really threw me off because that was way before
the like podcast recording.
Yeah.
Did they even know each other?
I don't know.
I mean, there's a chance that they would like come,
you know, be at the same party or rub elbows with each other.
But I don't, that was very strange.
Rub more than elbows.
Sutton.
I still don't understand why she's not a housewife.
There hasn't been, there hasn't been a single.
Well, we do know.
I mean, right. I know on paper, why, but it doesn't make sense to me.
Because there's, there still hasn't been a single episode this season that she, you know,
wasn't really around for. And...
Well, I love when the friend always comes on the trip, because that really, like, solidifies
you having a role on the show. Right. And, you know, I just said, Elise, oh, my God.
Speaking of a friend who has disappeared.
Yeah, right?
Sutton, yeah, she's on the trip, obviously.
She gives everyone the rain boots.
She has the to die for shopping excursion with Doreet and Kyle.
It's like, this is as much Sutton's trip as it is anyone else.
I know, right?
Well, it's funny because we have our excursion split again,
and we had the trip to Dulcangabana with Sutton
or the Ferrari driving with wine tasting,
which that wouldn't even be a question for me.
If they brought me to Dulcangabana, that would be fun.
but if that was the, if there was no other option, to miss out on Ferrari driving and wine tasting,
that is literally me in like a nutshell.
I would love that.
It's funny.
I saw someone on Twitter say that they could have shot this Rome trip in Toronto and nobody would have known because they've essentially only been at restaurants and the hotel the entire time.
I think it is very weird, like why they are choosing to not go to.
well, I think it's because Rome, I don't know, maybe doesn't, no, I was going to say maybe doesn't
offer what like other cities would, but it does. So I don't even know why. But I, yeah, I went to Rome.
I wouldn't want to eat at the hotel on a main dinner. I'm sure they're not allowed to like
film inside the Vatican or whatever, but we could at least get a few more like location visits. I don't know.
It's, it's funny though. I don't know. I just am enjoying this whole trip so much, obviously.
the specifics with, I love seeing Kyle and Doreet's dynamic. And I like that Doreet actually kind of
held Kyle accountable and said, you know, I like Kyle. I like being friends with Kyle, but her
friendship with Teddy does rub me the wrong way and that Kyle treats me differently one-on-one than
she does in a group setting. And I think that's super true. And nobody, yeah, the whole thing with
Kyle and Teddy's friendship is that it's not weird that they're close. It's weird that they're, it's weird that they,
have this strange, it's weird that they have this like almost like a pact with each other where
they can't not be attached. You know, it's just like, it's a little much. Yeah. My friend was watching
last night and texted me and said, Kyle and Denise had the same last name. And I was like, yes, I know,
but I also think that it's something that goes like unnoticed, but it's like, it's weird. No one
talks about that. Also, I,
like in my head, as you guys all know, I am obsessed, when I say obsessed with Erica Jane.
And I thought what she said less than the episode was just like, it's stuck with me.
So I tweeted to her and she, like, like she does, because she's my friend, she tweeted right back to me within seconds of me even hitting the tweet button.
I wrote, she said Italian boys, men, and cars.
And like, honey, yes, that is what we need.
So I forgot what she said back.
but she answered and then I answered back
and she's just like my friend and I just
I hope that we meet in person someday
I we definitely will
I okay one moment that I that I want to bring up
because it was a quick moment but I thought it was
notable what did you think about Garcel
having that confessional moment where she
sort of shaded Rina for her dancing videos
when she has a daughter with an eating disorder
Okay, so I was like, whoa.
Like when she said it, I was like, damn,
because Garcell's very honest about and blunt.
And I don't think, in my opinion, I don't think it was,
I guess it was shade because it wasn't to her face.
But I don't think she did it in a shady way.
Maybe shade isn't the right word,
but I think sort of.
No, it's okay.
I get it.
Not necessarily like not agreeing with the choice that she made.
Yeah.
So I think that maybe Rina does it to maybe show her daughter that she can do anything and feel comfortable within her own skin.
I don't, I don't, I actually look at it weirder that she has daughters who are 16, 18, however old they are young teenage daughters doing it, not that they have body issue, body image issues.
I actually just thought it was weird.
Like if my mom was doing that, you'd be like, come on, girl.
I had never really thought about it on that level, but it definitely was interesting.
And especially this was right after they were having a conversation at the dinner table,
which really rubbed me the wrong way where Kyle said that she's trying to lose three pounds.
Wait, I didn't hear that at all. I didn't hear Kyle say that.
Yeah, they were talking about what they were going to order for dinner and something about bread.
Yeah, the bread.
She was like, yeah, like I, you know, I want to lose three pounds.
that was when Sutton was like, oh, yeah, like, I've gained a little, like, my clothes, whatever.
And it just, I don't know.
I, obviously, they're entitled to feel whatever way they feel about their bodies,
but it was like, I don't want to hear Kyle Richards talk about wanting to lose three pounds.
It's not, like, can we not?
Yeah.
Yeah.
But anyway, that's okay.
We can, we can just not talk about that ever again.
Okay.
your Bravo Lab this week.
My Bravo Lab, I think I'm going to go with Garcel.
I loved her.
Again, I'm still just loving her energy.
I thought that Lisa Rinna moment was really interesting.
And then I also, she had a moment where she was saying that she didn't think Denise
defended herself strongly enough the night before at dinner.
And I think it's interesting.
We see her kind of getting more accustomed to the drama and, okay, this is how these
ladies do things.
And I like that she's kind of, you know, not afraid to have her opinions and, you know, getting in the mix more, I think.
Yeah.
Actually, going off of that really quick what you just said with Denise bringing up that random fact of Brandy sleeping someone else at the dinner table,
Rina did bring it up, like, on her side conversation.
Why didn't Denise bring that up the night before when this conversation was like a thing?
But I could see both sides.
Maybe Denise was caught off.
guard. But anyway, I thought the whole thing was weird. My Bravo Love this week is actually Captain Sandy,
because I was so, so, so impressed with, I agree, I think she is a helicopter captain, I should say.
She kind of like is very on top of it. But I think the way she handles her staff and looks out for them
and speaks to them is very impressive. And I think she speaks to everyone.
like they are humans, which we are.
And I just like, I think she's very respectable.
And I like her a lot.
Shout out, Captain Sandy, we like you.
We like you.
